Marvel fans will want to board the upcoming Disney Cruise Line ship, the Disney Adventure, which is sailing out of Singapore, for many reasons, thanks to the theming on board, but especially because there’s a RIDE on board themed to one of our favorite Marvel characters! Groot Galaxy Spin — ©Disney Groot Galaxy Spin is coming to the new cruise ship, and is a family-friendly spinning ride that hoists riders in the air while fueled by the music from the Guardians of the Galaxy films. Disney just gave us a behind the scenes look at the creation of the new ride, which has us even MORE stoked for the new cruise ship! 4. It’s been an interesting year for Six Flags parks. Travis Kelce recently partnered with Six Flags to “enhance shareholder value and improve the guest experience,” which is not something we saw coming, especially since Six Flags has had to close seven theme parks overall due to changing operating companies, financial issues, etc. ©Six Flags However, now we know when the newest Six Flags park will open later this year. Not only are they barely making their “late 2025” opening, but it’s also opening where you may not expect — Saudi Arabia. It was just shared by Marcus Leshock on X (formerly Twitter) that the new Six Flags Qiddiya City will officially open on December 31st, 2025, in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. @marcusleshock on X This new theme park will feature multiple record-setting attractions, including Falcons Flight, which will be the tallest and fastest roller coaster in the world. The other record-breaking attractions are Sirocco Tower, Iron Rattler, Spitfire, and Gyrospin. @marcusleshock on X The new park is home to six different sections — Discovery Springs, City of Thrills, Grand Exposition, Valley of Fortune, Twilight Gardens, and Steam Town. This theme park is the first of its kind in Saudi Arabia, and the journey began in December 2021, when the contract was signed and ground was broken. Then, in November 2023, the park unveiled the Falcons Flight train; in December 2023, the park reached its halfway point; and most recently, the Falcons Flight began testing in April 2025. ©Six Flags We’re looking forward to hearing more about this park as it moves towards its opening date! 5. One of Disney World’s newer restaurants has fans divided…and we can see why. The Cake Bake Shop in Disney World The Cake Bake Shop by Gwendolyn Rogers is still relatively new to Disney’s BoardWalk, but it’s been around long enough now that most Disney World fanatics — like ourselves — have formed some pretty strong opinions about this restaurant. A few weeks ago, we were highlighting a fall-themed slice of cake that had a lot of people’s mouths watering — but there was also some valid criticism that popped up that’s too true to ignore. With most items hovering around the $20 to $30+ range, many folks are priced out of this fancy restaurant. Believe it or not, the prices here used to be worse. When the restaurant opened in 2024, it was met with such strong criticism surrounding its prices that the restaurant quickly made adjustments to slightly lower costs. It’s better now, but still not in the “affordable” category. The Cake Bake Shop It doesn’t help that the Disney Resorts on both coasts continually raise their prices for EVERYTHING, meaning it’s fair to assume prices at The Cake Bake Shop will continue to inflate. ©Disney Is The Cake Bake Shop overpriced? It really depends on what you want in a dining experience. We’ve personally had some pleasant experiences dining here and find the cake and entree offerings to be quite delicious. And we’ve tried literally every service, including afternoon tea! We’ve consistently been blown away by the quality of food, atmosphere, and elevated vibes. However, critics have justifiably called out The Cake Bake shop as something most families will be able to do only once, and we totally understand that. When a cake slice costs $23, it’s easy to see how people can be put off. Look at that spread! How do you feel about The Cake Bake Shop? Do you agree with this Instagram user’s comment about the restaurant being a one-and-done, or are you like us and are impressed by the quality? 6. The holiday season has officially kicked off at Disney World, bringing festive cheer, glistening decorations, and plenty of magical moments, but this December, a few changes that could change your visit. Magic Kingdom With Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party and Disney’s Jollywood Nights underway, it already feels like Christmas at Disney World. But as magical as the season is, there are a few important updates and changes you’ll want to know about this December. 1. A Parade Change One of the biggest holiday highlights is the return of Mickey’s Once Upon a Christmastime Parade to Magic Kingdom. This is the parade that is exclusive to Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party — that is, until one week of the year! From December 23rd through December 31st, guests can catch this fan-favorite parade during the day. That means no special party ticket is required. Once Upon a Christmastime Parade The parade will run at 12 PM and 3 PM daily, though times are subject to change, so be sure to check the My Disney Experience app before your visit. During this period, there will be no Festival of Fantasy Parade, so this is your chance to see Mickey, Minnie, the Disney Princesses, toy soldiers, and even Santa Claus spreading holiday cheer through Magic Kingdom. Since it’s only around for a short time, make sure to plan your day so you don’t miss this festive must-see. Catch this parade during the day! 2. New Year’s Eve Celebrations If you’re visiting Disney World for New Year’s Eve, there are even more exciting celebrations to look forward to. EPCOT will host Luminous: The Symphony of Us at 6:30 PM, followed by Cheers to the New Year: A Sparkling Celebration at 11:54 PM on December 31st. The park transforms into one big party, with DJs stationed throughout World Showcase and one of the most impressive countdowns you’ll find anywhere. New Year’s Eve 2024 at EPCOT Over at Magic Kingdom, the Fantasy in the Sky Fireworks will light up the sky on December 30th and 31st at 7:30 PM and 11:50 PM. Guests visiting earlier in the week can still enjoy Minnie’s Wonderful Christmastime Fireworks nightly from December 22nd through the 29th at 8:30 PM. Whether you’re celebrating early or staying up to ring in 2026, there’s no shortage of nighttime magic across the parks. New Year’s Eve Fireworks at Magic Kingdom 3. THE Gingerbread House is Gone Finally, there’s a notable update at Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort & Spa as the iconic Gingerbread House display will not be returning — for this year. While that might be disappointing for fans of this long-standing holiday tradition, there’s something new to enjoy in its place. 2024 Grand Floridian Gingerbread House The resort recently opened The Perch, a brand-new lobby bar that offers elegant cocktails and a relaxing atmosphere in one of Disney’s most beautiful resorts. It’s the perfect spot to take a break from the parks and soak in some holiday ambiance. Be sure to check out our full review of The Perch to see why it’s worth a visit. Review: Come With Us to the Grand Floridian’s New Bar! The Perch December at Disney World brings plenty of holiday fun, from parades and fireworks to festive new experiences. 7. The holiday season is in full swing in Disney World! We love seeing all the decorations around the parks and hotels, the special snacks, and the holiday parties and entertainment, of course, but if you’re not able to be in the parks, there’s magic you can experience from home, too! ©Disney We always look forward to the Disney holiday specials released digitally each year, and now we know when The Wonderful World of Disney: Holiday Spectacular will be available for everyone to watch! This special is our secret to bringing the magic of Disney holidays home — no matter where you live! This year, The Wonderful World of Disney: Holiday Spectacular will debut on ABC on December 1st, 2025, at 8 PM ET, and then will be available to stream the next day, December 2nd, on Disney+, Hulu, and Disney YouTube. This year’s event is narrated by none other than Ginnifer Goodwin, the voice of Judy Hopps in the Zootopia films, and will be hosted by Derek Hough from Dancing with the Stars, who will also show off his talents during the show. ©Disney We’ll get to see some truly fantastic performances from multiple artists, including Gwen Stefani over at Disneyland, Aloe Blacc, Good Charlotte, Coco Jones, Mariah the Scientist, Nicole Scherzinger, Trisha Yearwood, Bebe Rexha, and Iam Tongi. We’ll get to see them perform all across Disney World, Disneyland, and even Aulani! ©Disney That’s not all, though, because we’ll also get a special look at Avatar: Fire and Ash, introduced by the cast of the movie from Pandora – The World of Avatar, a special celebration for Zootopia 2 introduced by Ke Huy Quan (the voice of Gary De’Snake), and a closer look at Zootopia: Better Zoogether! hosted by the voice of Clawhauser, Nate Torrence. ©Disney We can’t wait to watch, and we know a lot of you can’t either, so be sure to set those alarms! 8. EPCOT is home to some of the best restaurants in all of the Disney World parks, which is why many people make many of their dining reservations for that park specifically. There’s so much food to try at EPCOT that it can be hard to know where to start and where to spend your money. Coral Reef Coconut Fried Shrimp and Chicken Wings Not every restaurant is a win, though, even in EPCOT. Coral Reef is one of the roughest restaurants in EPCOT, as many guests (including ourselves) have had not-so-great experiences there (plus, you’re eating fish while STAREING at fish? That feels a little morbid, or uhm, fishy). Overall, we’ve noticed this spot seems inconsistent, and it looks like this issue may be affecting the restaurant, since we just spotted a BIG change in the Coral Reef operating hours. Something very strange is happening for the month of December at Coral Reef — the ENTIRE month is blocked out for reservations for December. However, the restaurant is still showing regular operating hours, so…what’s happening at this restaurant? ©Disney Starting on January 4th, 2026, it looks like lunch reservations can no longer able to be made for Coral Reef. Now, on January 3rd, 2026, lunch and dinner reservations are still showing, ranging from 11:30 AM to 7:15 PM. January 3rd hours However, on January 4th, only dinner hours are showing from 4-9 PM. Currently, the Walt Disney World calendar goes out through January 15th, 2026, and at this time, lunch is not showing as a reservation option through that entire time. January 4th Hours Does this mean it’s possible that we won’t see lunch reservations for 2026 at all? Well, we have no way of knowing that right now since Disney hasn’t announced any changes officially, but it seems like, for the majority of January at least, grabbing a lunch reservation here won’t be possible. If you have your heart set on it, make sure you’re checking back often because it could be a glitch or Disney could open more reservations. Coral Reef Restaurant Looking for more recent EPCOT news? 9. So much is happening at Disney World that it can be tough to keep. Fortunately, our team stays up-to-date on all the latest developments so we can bring you the latest coverage — including updates on two of the resort’s newest rides. ©Disney A lot of rides are currently in development at Disney World, such as new attractions in Magic Kingdom’s not-yet-built Villains Land and Piston Peak, and the new Indiana Jones ride coming to Animal Kingdom‘s Tropical Americas-themed land. However, we’re taking a closer look at a couple of rides that are firmly in development at the moment: the new Monsters, Inc. roller coaster coming to Hollywood Studios and the new Encanto ride coming to Animal Kingdom! Both attractions were revealed at 2024’s D23 fan expo event in Anaheim, California, and, since then, we’ve gotten little trickles of information about each ride. Here’s what we know so far: Monsters, Inc. Roller Coaster Disney’s new Monsters, Inc. roller coaster will be its first-ever suspended coaster — a roller coaster where you sit but your feet dangle off the ground as your ride vehicle is attached to an overhead track. ©Disney According to Disney, the ride will take place inside the Monsters, Inc. plant and you’ll be able to ride on a door like Mike and Sulley in the iconic Disney and Pixar film! ©Disney Disney Experiences Chairman Josh D’Amaro said, “The first time I saw Monsters, Inc., all I wanted to do was ride on one of those doors like Mike and Sulley. You’ll go into the factory and experience the first suspended coaster ever in a Disney park. Remember in the movie how those claws grab the doors and hoist them up into the air to take them away? We’re doing that, too. And you’re going along for the ride.” New roller coaster 3D models indicate that you’ll be whirling through the area that holds all the doors to the human world, encountering sudden twists, turns, and dips. The ride will be located in a new Monsters, Inc. Land in Hollywood Studios that looks like Monstropolis come to life! The area is replacing Muppets Courtyard. ©Disney Recently-filed documents released by the Central Florida Tourism Oversight District revealed more details about the ride’s show building. Previously released maps gave us an idea that the building will be approximately 365 feet by 330 feet — a total size of around 103,000 square feet. A new map suggests that the building might be placed over an existing Cast Member parking lot. ©bioreconstruct There’s still plenty to learn, and we can’t wait to hear new details! Encanto Ride Joining the new Indiana Jones ride in Animal Kingdom will be the first-ever Encanto ride! ©Disney Located in Pueblo Esperanza (the Tropical Americas-themed land replacing DinoLand U.S.A in Animal Kingdom), the Encanto ride will be inside the Casita — the house where the Madrigal family lives. The ride’s narrative will take place after Antonio has received the gift to talk to animals, and his room has transformed into a rainforest. The ride will take you on a journey through the Casita as you meet other members of the Madrigal family along the way. Disney has not yet specified if this will be a boat ride, trackless ride, or traditional dark ride. Model of the Encanto ride There is still much to be learned about this attraction, but recent aerial photos by @bioreconstruct reveal some MASSIVE work being done! ©bioreconstruct The scope of the attraction is larger than initially expected. The structure in the middle could be where the exterior of the Casita will go. ©bioreconstruct Construction is ongoing, meaning we could get some pretty big updates in the coming months! ©bioreconstruct The new ride will be located where Chester & Hester’s Dino-Rama! was once located, along with some backstage areas. Puebla Esperanza model We can’t wait to experience these new attractions! In the meantime, stay tuned right here at DFB for all the latest Disney World updates! 10. The holiday season around Disney World is EXTRA festive. It’s a very popular time of year to visit the resort, and many guests love to experience Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party. Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party While we love the Christmas party at Magic Kingdom, and we go to it every single year, we’ve realized that there may be a very valid reason for skipping it. If you do decide to not spend the extra $229 for the specially-ticketed event, here are 11 FREE options to do instead so you can still enjoy the Christmas magic at Disney World. Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party is an annual event on select nights in November and December at Magic Kingdom. It’s a fan-favorite holiday celebration where you can enjoy exclusive snacks, drinks, entertainment, and more. There are complimentary drinks and cookies, along with exciting character meet-and-greets. Mickey’s Most Merriest Celebration As much as we love this event, we do realize that it is a little pricey. You have to purchase a separate ticket from your general admission tickets, and tickets are over $200. One of the biggest downfalls of this event, though, is not the price. (7 hours in the park with lower crowds and exclusive offerings is worth every penny to us.) Club Tinsel Here’s the thing: this party very rarely changes. If you’ve been to it once, you’ve seen it all, and this year, it’s no different than previous years. If you don’t care for change or you’re happy knowing that it’ll be your old faithful fun experience, this might not be a big deal for you. But if you don’t like doing the same things over and over, you might want to skip the party this year and opt for other festive offerings around Disney World! Town Center tree If you really want to save some money by not going to Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party this year, you could check out the MANY free offerings at Disney Springs! There is a fun scavenger hunt-style Christmas tree stroll where you can win a prize for finding all of the Disney, Pixar, Star Wars, and Marvel decorated trees. Haunted Mansion Tree You can meet Santa Claus near Disney’s Pin Traders from November 13th through December 24th. You can also send a letter to the North Pole at Once Upon a Toy! Meet Santa at Disney Springs! And don’t miss the snoap “snowfall” at Town Center every night (just like at Magic Kingdom for the Christmas party, without buying a ticket)! Plus, you can find a variety of street performers and entertainment throughout Disney Springs all season long, including stilt walkers, a rollerblade duo, and a Santa Sleigh DJ. Holidays at Disney Springs More holiday fun awaits you at EPCOT. If you already have a day in EPCOT planned and paid for anyway, the following Festival of the Holidays experiences are all FREE! 11. When you’re planning to spend New Year’s Eve in Disney World, you’re most likely thinking of spending it in Magic Kingdom or EPCOT. New Year’s Eve Button at Hollywood Studios Those are the parks most known for their late New Year’s Eve experiences to ring in the new year with fireworks, special events, and more. Over in Disney’s Hollywood Studios, we’ve seen special events come and go for the holiday, but it’s harder to count on whether there will be something offered to ring in the new year. However, this year we now have confirmation that a special fireworks show will return to Hollywood Studios on New Year’s Eve! On the Disney World website, Disney currently has New Year Countdown Fireworks at Disney’s Hollywood Studios listed to take place on December 31st at 11:57 PM! ©Disney At this time, there hasn’t been an official large announcement about this addition, but we have a feeling one may be coming soon. If you’re an Annual Passholder looking to make a park pass reservation before they run out, we recommend doing so sooner rather than later to ensure you can grab one. This also goes for anyone who has a non-date-based ticket, as park pass reservations are also required for those tickets. New Year’s Eve Fireworks at Magic Kingdom Last year, we also saw additional special offerings hit Hollywood Studios, like the Pixar Dance Party and special live entertainment all night long, including a live DJ, and more. Those haven’t been announced yet, but we’ll keep our eyes peeled. Looking for more recent New Year’s Eve news? Check out our posts below! More Recent New Year's Eve News! 12. Tons of people start their day with coffee on their Disney World vacation, and while many people rush to Starbucks (hence those looooong lines in the morning), we often prefer to head to Joffrey’s instead. Joffrey’s Coffee There are Joffrey’s locations in all four Disney World parks, as well as Disney Springs, and around many of the Disney World hotels. While we love grabbing a Shakin’ Jamaican from there, or maybe a Peach Tea (that’s my fav!), there’s also a new perk that Annual Passholders can take advantage of for a limited time! Joffrey’s has just announced a special gift just for Annual Passholders, but it’ll take some work to get it! Head to a Joffrey’s inside Disney World to pick up a stamp card and get a stamp when you purchase a drink. Once you get it stamped at each location listed after buying a drink, you’ll be able to redeem it for a Disney World Annual Passholder Luggage Tag! @joffreyscoffeeand tea on Instagram Now, yes, this does mean you basically have to buy TONS of Joffrey’s coffee/drinks to get this souvenir, but hey, if you’ve been looking for a new luggage tag and get Joffrey’s coffee often anyway, then this is a great perk! There’s another catch, too, though — you must buy one of the holiday featured drinks at the Joffrey’s locations listed on the card (there are 5 in total — one in each of the four parks, and one in Disney Springs). There’s a different drink at each park/location, so it’s a clever way Joffrey’s is getting you to try their new drinks at the same time. Joffrey’s in Magic Kingdom This luggage tag deal is available through December 30th, so it’s perfect if you’re planning on being in the parks for the holiday season. 13. At this point, Tom Hanks is already Hollywood and Disney royalty, but the iconic Toy Story and Forrest Gump actor is getting even more props thanks to one of his drink hacks. Photo Credit: Richard Shotwell/Invision/AP We’re always on the lookout for great snack hacks, but we appreciate it when one falls into our laps. In this case, we actually got a great new way to enjoy Diet Coke through the TV screen from Woody the Cowboy himself! While speaking to Colbert, Hanks revealed that he isn’t much of a drinker but opts for Diet Coke in an effort to get a nice little caffeine jolt to get him through long evenings — ultra relatable! “So I have a little bit of caffeine, Diet Coke in a glass, and I sip that through the night. But they brought the champagne around. They brought the nice flutes. It was like the last episode of The Bachelor. And I just had this Diet Coke and I said, ‘Oh give me a shot of champagne in there for crying out loud.’ So I had a sip of this. Stephen, it was delicious,” said Hanks. Hanks and Colbert in 2016 (Timothy Kuratek/CBS) Colbert had heard this story and was prepared. He pulled out a couple of glasses and they began to recreate this concoction. Hanks said he poured about a third of a can of Diet Coke (he added, “It doesn’t have to be Coca-Cola. It can be any cola product.” He then suggested sticking with diet, since he has type two diabetes) and then topped it off with champagne. He then lauded the color, calling it “kinda gorgeous”, and after his first sip, Colbert was floored. Hanks gave himself a pat on the back, saying, “How ’bout that?” You can watch the full interaction below! Labeled “The Diet Cokagne” from Colbert and his team — a nickname that should probably NEVER be spoken aloud — this is a simple drink that is easily accessible to many! In fact, this is a concoction you can put together the next time you drink around the world at EPCOT! Champagne Flute Tom Hanks discovering the next big drink is no shocker. The prolific actor is Hollywood royalty and has done tons of unreal work for Disney, including playing Woody in the Toy Story franchise, Walt Disney in Saving Mr. Banks, Scott Turner in Turner & Hooch, James B. Donovan in Bridge of Spies, Allen Bauer in Splash, and more. Toy Story 4 Have you tried this drink hack? Do you plan to? 16. It’s an exciting time to be a Disney Adult, especially if you go to Disney World often. SO much new stuff is coming to the parks, the hotels, and more. Marketplace Co-Op in Disney Springs Well, some new things are also coming to Disney Springs, including the LEVEL99 experience we’ve been itching to get an opening date for. Disney just announced that a new shop, The Disney Drop Shop, will be coming to Marketplace Co-Op in Disney Springs on November 21st. The Disney Drop Shop will be your one-stop shop for buying blind box releases, exclusive merchandise, and collectible brands like Cosbi, Beast Kingdom, and Popmart. ©Disney Cosbi is a series of toys by Hot Toys of cute collectible Japanese figures. Disney also posted a photo of these adorable Ewok figures…and y’all, we are SOLD. ©Disney Rumors have been circulating about the shop, including a rumor that the shop will have dedicated areas for influencers who want to film or stream unboxing videos. However, Disney did not mention that in its announcement. If you’re interested in shopping at The Disney Drop Shop on November 21st, a virtual waitlist will be in place to enter the shop’s location. 18. One of the 25 Disney stores left in the United States is located in Times Square in New York City, and while it’s already exciting to visit on its own, it recently had an interactive event like no other! ©Disney On the evening of November 12th, right after Disney had debuted their new short film for the holiday season, something very special happened in Times Square — for the first time EVER, there was an interactive billboard right above the Disney store that people could doodle on! It’s true! For the first time ever, there was a first-of-its-kind interactive billboard in Times Square that gave Disney fans the chance to see their doodle drawings appear in real time! However, being physically present in Times Square wasn’t necessary to submit your doodle — thousands of doodles were submitted from across the country. ©Disney However, many were from those who were in person at the Disney Store Times Square, who all received a complimentary pair of customizable Mickey Mouse ears special to this experience! Encouraging people to submit their drawings on the board was none other than Doodle, the lovable character from Disney’s newest holiday short. ©Disney Now, if you haven’t seen Disney’s newest short, A Disney Holiday Short: Best Christmas Ever, it follows a young girl who happens to doodle a little friend on her letter to Santa, and he comes to life the next morning when Santa believes that he was part of the little girl’s Christmas wish. The two have a wonderful year together, but there’s one problem — Doodle doesn’t have a mouth! The little girl sets out to fix the issue next Christmas, and let’s just say it’s certain to warm your heart and get you into the holiday spirit. You can watch it below! 19. Snacks come and go in Disney World, and sometimes when they go, a lot of folks make a big stink about it, and they eventually come back (yes, Sleepy Hollow waffles and Columbia Harbor House hush puppies, we’re looking at you). Deep Fried Hawaiian Rolls Well, another of our favorite Disney World snacks is disappearing, but at least we’ve been given some notice so we can go indulge in them a few more times before they’re gone (hopefully, not forever). The Deep Fried Hawaiian Roll at Blue Ribbon Corn Dogs at Disney’s BoardWalk will be disappearing SOON. So you still have a little time to check out this snack, and we’d highly recommend you making a trip over to the BoardWalk to do so. We had it when it first came out, and this wonderful combination of fried Hawaiian rolls covered in cinnamon and sugar and sweetened condensed milk for $10 literally put us in Disney snack heaven. SO good You get those tasty, fluffy Hawaiian rolls that are part of this hot, gooey, and OH SO SUGARY treat. The condensed milk is like an icing. Trust us…this is worth the trip over to the BoardWalk. Ooey and gooey goodness So don’t forget…you’ve got until November 20th to grab this wonderful sugary goodness. Then it’s gone. There’s no guarantee it will ever return, so this could be your only chance to try it. Stay tuned to DFB for more. WE KNOW – there are SO many great snacks at Disney World! 22. Merry Mashups is back once again at the Disney California Adventure Festival of Holidays — let’s check out what’s on the menu this year! 2025 Merry Mashups Booth The 2025 Disney California Adventure Festival of Holidays has officially kicked off at Disneyland Resort, and there are LOTS of things to do. From now through January 7th, 2026, you can devour some tasty eats and drinks, check out unique entertainment, and more. Wondering just what you can eat at Merry Mashups booth? Well, we’ve checked it out and now we’re sharing our FULL thoughts. Menu This year, you’ll find a new dessert at Merry Mashups along with two new drinks! Returning for 2025 is the Holiday Mash Bowl filled with chicken, cheddar mashed potatoes, and turkey gravy with cranberry stuffing crunch, and new for this year is a Holiday M&M’S Éclair filled with milk chocolate mousse and topped with whipped ganache and M&M’S Milk Chocolate Minis. 2025 Merry Mashups Booth Two new drinks are on the menu this year: a non-boozy Tropical Holiday Punch made with pineapple, orange and lemon juices, blue raspberry syrup, and coconut purée garnished with a blue raspberry gummy candy, and a boozy Blue Tropical Cocktail made with rum, pineapple, orange and lemon juices, blue raspberry syrup, and coconut purée garnished with a blue sugar-coated pineapple wheel and a dark rum float. Rounding out this year’s drinks is the returning Berry Pomegranate Paloma made with tequila, blueberry purée, lime, cranberry and pomegranate juices, and agave syrup, topped with Minute Maid Aguas Fresca and garnished with an orange wheel and a chile-lime rim. The Berry Pomegranate Paloma was at A Twist on Tradition in 2024! Now that we’ve taken a look at the menu, let’s dive into the food itself! Eats First up, we grabbed the returning Holiday Mash Bowl made with Chicken, cheddar mashed potatoes, and turkey gravy with cranberry stuffing crunch for $9.25. This dish returns to the booth after debuting in 2024. Last year, we found the dish to be a bit salty, but overall, a good holiday season dish! This year, well, it’s easily one of our favorite things we’ve had at the festival. This is Thanksgiving in a bowl, and we are HERE for it. Everything in this bowl is just a good combination. We will warn you that there’s a bit of herbiness to the flavors, if that’s not your thing. Holiday Mash Bowl New for dessert this year is the Holiday M&M’S Éclair filled with milk chocolate mousse and topped with whipped ganache and M&M’S Milk Chocolate Minis for $7.75. We hope you like the color green because you’ll be wearing it all over your teeth. The frosting is that nice whipped kind of texture, but yeah, it will stain EVERYTHING it comes into contact with. Holiday M&M’S Éclair The chocolate filling inside is velvety smooth. The eclair itself is soft and fresh. The M&Ms also make for a fun, crunchy topping. Drinks Our first drink is the new and non-boozy Tropical Holiday Punch made with pineapple, orange, and lemon juices, blue raspberry syrup, and coconut purée, garnished with a blue raspberry gummy candy for $9. If you like coconut, you need this in your life. The flavors are sweet and refreshing, but we found the strongest flavor is the coconut, although you also get a hint of the citrus. Tropical Holiday Punch Next, we checked out the new Blue Tropical Cocktail made with rum, pineapple, orange, and lemon juices, blue raspberry syrup, and coconut purée, garnished with a blue sugar-coated pineapple wheel and a dark rum float priced at a whopping $18.50! So…this baby is STRONG, and the main flavor is the rum. You’ll want to stir it really well just to try and get some of those other flavors in your sips. Even the garnish, which is fun, is saturated in rum flavor. Someone call Captain Jack Sparrow! Blue Tropical Cocktail The final drink on the menu is the Berry Pomegranate Paloma, which was on the menu in 2024 at A Twist on Tradition. This year it’s priced at $19.25! (In case you’re curious, that’s $1.25 more than it was last year). In 2024, we found this drink to be fresh and fruity thanks to all the lime, cranberry, and blueberry working together to give it a sweet and tart taste. This year, it seems very tequila-forward and is our least favorite drink at this booth. Berry Pomegranate Paloma We will say the Tajin rim is fun, but the tequila just overpowers everything in this drink. OVERALL If you’re craving classic Thanksgiving flavors, you’ll want to run to this booth just for the Holiday Mash Bowl, but don’t forget to get that eclair for dessert, although you’ll want to remember the wet wipes! The drinks here are good, but if we had to recommend one out of the three, it would be the non-alcoholic option: it’s cheaper. Granted, you are getting your money’s worth with the amount of alcohol in the other two drinks, so if you want something that packs a punch, visit this booth. 2025 Menu That’s it for this booth, but there’s a LOT more where that came from! 23. Do you feel that? The crisp, cool weather kicking in at Disney World? Christmas at Magic Kingdom Going to Disney World during December is always tricky. Yes, the crowds are busy, but that’s not what we’re talking about. We’re talking about the unpredictable Florida weather — will it be hot? Will it be cold? Believe it or not, Florida gets chilly during the holidays, and sometimes guests aren’t prepared for it. So, we’re here to tell you what you need to pack for a Disney World trip in December! DISCLOSURE: This post may contain affiliate links, meaning when you click the links and make a purchase, we receive a commission. We know Florida is looked at as always hot and humid, but that’s not the case. There have been December trips we’ve taken where we’ve needed hand warmers. When you’re waiting in lines or watching parades, the air can feel pretty cold. We’ve found we’ve needed them most when the sun goes down and we’re waiting for fireworks. Frozen Holiday Surprise Get these Hand Warmers ©Amazon These Electric Hand Warmers provide instant warmth and adjustable heat. It heats up in just five seconds with three temperature settings up to 126 °F to meet different comfort needs. They’re ideal for those long periods of being outdoors during a Disney day! You can get this 2-pack for 47% off! View on Amazon We find that a jacket is super important! You will desperately want it in the mornings and evenings, even if it’s warm enough during the day. Christmas at the Speedway This Mickey Fleece is perfect! ©Amazon This Mickey Fleece Quarter Zip Jacket caught our eye for two reasons! 1) This fleece is perfect for keeping you warm without making you feel too hot when the weather starts to warm up. After all, the weather can change from hot to cold on the same day. 2) It’s a Disney jacket — if you’re looking for a fit for Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party, here it is! View on Amazon We think Chapstick is a must! ©Amazon Chapstick is a must-bring for those chilly mornings and nights! Nothing is worse than standing in line for Mine Train, the air is cold, and your lips feel like they’re cracking. We like Aquaphor Lip Repair Stick because it is clinically proven to relieve dryness and soothe chapped, cracked lips. For 33% off, we think this is a deal! View on Amazon We can’t be the only ones who get cold ears quickly when we’re at Disney in the winter. For us, we’re always packing something to cover up our ears — especially if it’s windy. We’ve all had that feeling, too much wind starts to blow, and our ears start to ACHE. Hey Mickey and Minnie! You can grab this Winter Hat ©Amazon Well, we found the perfect Winter Soft Knit Hat for the holiday season! This hat is not only soft and comfortable to wear but also provides excellent warmth and insulation. The double-layer design with a fleece lining ensures optimal comfort and protection against cold weather conditions. Plus, look at its pom poms that look like Mickey ears! You can get it for 33% off. View on Amazon What do you need to bring to hold all these things? A backpack, of course. You’re going to want to pack for every season. You never know what you are going to get. We go every year in December, and it has been as cold as the 40s and as high as the 80s. Plus, you’ll need something to carry all the presents from your Christmas shopping! Cinderella! Get this cute Stitch Holiday Loungefly ©Amazon If you’re a fan of Disney’s Lilo and Stitch, you’re going to love this Stitch Holiday Loungefly Backpack! It features Stitch wearing a Santa hat, sitting inside of an ornament — seriously, look how adorable this bag is. View on Amazon The last thing you’ll need for December is pieces to go with your Christmas Disney outfit! You can’t do the holidays at Disney without looking the part. Toy soldiers! There’s this Magic Kingdom Christmas Sweater ©Amazon We found our top for Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party, and it’s this Vintage Magic Kingdom Christmas Sweater! The sweater features Cinderella’s Castle, bells, a toy soldier, a Mickey wreath, bows, and more Mickey decorations. This Christmas sweater is just adorable. View on Amazon And finally, these Minnie Christmas Ears ©Amazon There are so many reasons that we love these Minnie Christmas Ears! For starters, Minnie Ears at the park can be so expensive, whereas you can get these holiday ones for much cheaper. Not to mention it comes in a 2-pack for less than the price of one at Disney — perfect for you and a friend. We also adore the peppermint and snowflake design. These would be great for the Christmas party! 24. The holiday season might be one of our favorite times in Disney World, because, y’all, the food SLAPS. Disney really goes all out with the holiday treats, including the ones you can find at Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party and Jollywood Nights. DOLE Whip Sampler But Disney Springs has its share of new treats right now, too. That includes some new DOLE Whip concoctions over at Swirls on the Water. So we headed over to Swirls on the Water to try them out. Several new holiday snacks have arrived at Swirls on the Water. We started with the Mickey Gingerbread Cone, which is a Gingerbread cone with chocolate soft-serve, DOLE Whip pomegranate, holiday sprinkles, and gingerbread Mickey for $7.49. Mickey Gingerbread Cone The combination of the chocolate and pomegranate really surprised us. The chocolate is super creamy with a light flavor, while the pomegranate complements it with some iciness and a bit of tartness. The gingerbread Mickey on top was soft and easy to bite. Now, the little Mickey didn’t really add to the flavor of the snack as a whole, but we give it points for being cute. This is a fun treat, but we wouldn’t make a special trip to Disney Springs for it. Even the gingerbread Mickey was tasty Then we tried the Tropical Holiday Tree Sundae, which is a waffle bowl with DOLE Whip Lime, coconut soft-serve, sugar tree lights, graham cracker crumbs, and sugar pieces for $7.29. The lime DOLE whip is a classic. It’s super smooth, bright, acidic, but not TOO tart. The coconut even helps balance out that lime flavor. The little sugar lights on the sides are crunchy and sugary…and yep, we ate ALL of them. Tropical Holiday Tree Sundae The bowl is also a traditional waffle bowl that held up really well. It was also big enough so we felt like we got a good portion size of the DOLE Whip. This refreshing treat is also super easy to share. We love a good waffle bowl We also tried the DOLE Whip Sampler, which is supposedly a holiday sampler. For $8.99, you get three sample sizes of DOLE Whip treats. The sampler The DOLE Whip Pineapple swirled with Vanilla Soft-serve and Fresh Pineapple Wedge is that classic DOLE Whip flavor we all know and love, swirled with vanilla. It’s refreshing, creamy, sweet, and has a nice tartness that comes from the pineapple. Classic Pineapple and Vanilla The sampler also includes DOLE Whip Pomegranate swirled with Chocolate Soft-serve and Holiday Sprinkles, which we had in the Mickey Gingerbread Cone. We’ve already told you how much we loved the sweetness and creaminess of the chocolate paired with the pomegranate flavor. The addition of holiday sprinkles is festive, and they add a bit of crunch. Chocolate and pomegranate The third flavor is DOLE Whip Lime swirled with Coconut Soft-serve with Graham Cracker and Toasted Coconut Flakes. It’s basically like key lime pie in a cup. There’s a hint of tartness that blends with the sweetness and creaminess of the coconut. The graham crackers and toasted coconut on top add a bit of texture. Lime with coconut and graham crackers If we had one complaint about this DOLE Whip Sampler is that it doesn’t really SCREAM holidays to us. The flavors are tropical and make us think more about summer, unless of course, you’re spending the holidays on a tropical beach somewhere. Maybe the idea is the holidays in Florida… Stay tuned to DFB for more. WE KNOW – there are SO many great snacks at Disney World! 25. We miss The Great Movie Ride nearly every single time we step into Disney’s Hollywood Studios. Those gals look familiar… Don’t get us wrong, we love Mickey & Minnie’s Runaway Railway, but The Great Movie Ride was unlike any other ride around the parks — getting to see some iconic scenes from some truly timeless films and ride right through them? Now that was something truly special. While we normally just have our memories to go off of when we visit the park, it turns out, there’s a new display inside one of the shops in Hollywood Studios that’s directly from the former attraction — here’s where you can find it! Disney is celebrating the holiday season in the parks in many ways, and in Hollywood Studios, there’s a new window display to celebrate the season that had us doing a double-take. Over at Keystone Clothiers, you’ll notice there’s a new holiday window display filled with peppermint-colored presents, columns, peppermint candies, and front and center are three mannequins in red and white peppermint-themed outfits. New window display! If these mannequins look familiar, that’s because they ARE! These are three of the dozens of mannequins that were previously seen in the Footlight Parade scene in The Great Movie Ride, where there were numerous dancers in swim caps and swimsuits displayed. Now, three of those mannequins are being used in this holiday display! They look wonderful! If you look really closely, you’ll see that the ladies’ Santa hats are covering where the swim caps are covering their ears, really confirming that after some TLC, these mannequins have been brought out of retirement to bring some holly jolly joy to the park. The sheer tops of their dresses are also the same as the tops of their bathing suits from the retired attraction. Can you see the swim caps? We love that Disney brought these back, and we agree completely with a comment we saw about this change — we’d love to see these ladies in this window year-round, but just have Disney change the theme to fit whatever time of year it is! That way, The Great Movie Ride will always be represented in the park. More Recent Hollywood Studios News! Disney Just Brought BACK Part of the Great Movie Ride!Reminder!
