  1. Ooh, we love a burger and fries from D-Luxe Burger in Walt Disney World’s Disney Springs, and now the casual dining spot has added two limited time menu items! D-Luxe and That Gorgeous Florida Sky The Caribbean Burger is a patty made with D-Luxe’s signature blend of meats, Chayote Slaw, Scotch Bonnet Pepper Aioli (!!), Fried Plantain, Lettuce, and Tomato. We’re loving the idea of spice from the Scotch Bonnet Pepper Aioli, and we’re intrigued by the plantain. Limited Time Offerings The second item are deep-fried plantains commonly known as Tostones! These will be a fun alternative to fries! Note that tostones are not currently showing on the mobile order menu, just on the menu on the Disney World website. We’ll see if they stick around! Stay tuned because we will be reviewing these ASAP. Stay on top of all the Disney food news by signing up for the Disney Food Blog Newsletter! What’s your dream burger combo? Tell us in the comments! 4. Cosmic Ray’s Starlight Cafe in Walt Disney World’s Magic Kingdom is a guest favorite. It’s here you’ll find burgers, chicken, and the occasional limited time offering (like these funky Galaxy Fries and the lauded Pork Belly Burger)! But the popular quick service spot is currently undergoing a refurbishment — partially. At present, construction walls are up around Bay 2, where you’d typically find a selection of burgers, sandwiches, and salads. The walls extend through the central seating area (the largest section of seating in the restaurant), including around the stage where diners would normally spot Sonny Eclipse. Cosmic Ray’s Refurbishment Here’s another look from Bay 1 looking toward Bay 2. Note that both toppings bars are still accessible, but you can’t get through Bay 2 to move from Bay 1 to Bay 3. Cosmic Ray’s Refurbishment Bay 2 and the central seating area are visible through the windows, and our Disney pal Daniel Wanderman (@wanderdisney) took a peek for us. Sonny has been removed from his stage, but we’re assured he’ll be returning. Cosmic Ray’s Refurbishment We’re told that it’s likely Bay 1 and Bay 3 will be refreshed after Bay 2 reopens, and the restaurant is expected to remain open throughout the refurbishments. Sign up for the DFB Newsletter today, and you’ll never miss a piece of Disney news! Is Cosmic Ray’s a must do for you? Tell us what you love in the comments! 15. Epcot’s World Showcase Wine Walk has been something of a hidden gem for many years. Wine Walk sign This program allowed guests to enjoy six pours of wine by stopping at three designated locations in World Showcase — the Germany Pavilion’s Weinkeller, Italy’s La Bottega Italia, and France’s Aux Vins de France — offering two pours each for a fixed price. Weinkeller in the Germany Pavilion Over the years, though, it’s gone from a GREAT deal at $20, to an OK deal at $32. However, during our time today in Epcot, we learned from Cast Members that the wine walk may have been discontinued. You can still try a variety of wines. For instance, at the Weinkeller, you can still try a Red or White Wine Flight featuring German pours. Current Wine Flight sign in Germany’s Weinkeller And you should still find Flights in the previously participating country pavilions. Wines in Italy France has a Champagne Flight available. France Champagne Flight Additionally, the acrylic wine glasses that were included over the past couple of years with the Wine Walk are still available for purchase. Acrylic Wine Glass sign But Wine Walks were not able to be purchased today, and it was the understanding of the Cast Members we spoke with that there are no current plans to bring the Wine Walk back. Guests who have already purchased the Wine Walk, but not finished it, can still receive their pours as tracked by the Wine Walk Passport received upon purchasing. 23. If you’re planning a Disney World vacation you’ll probably discover that it can be just a bit overwhelming with Advance Dining Reservations, FastPass+ selections, and more — and you quickly come up with a whole list of questions that you don’t have answers to. Cinderella Castle Our good friends at Small World Vacations have been answering planning questions for years, even those that might sound strange to seasoned Disney World visitors but are totally logical to novices. These are five common questions along with ANSWERS from the agents at Small World Vacations! 1. “It’s my birthday, can I spend the day touring the parks with Mickey Mouse?” — While Disney goes out of their way to acknowledge your special celebration, the Disney Characters are not able to accompany guests for an entire day in the parks. You can find out where to meet your favorite Disney friend in the park map guides, your MyDisneyExperience account and by asking at your Disney Resort concierge or Guest Relations in the parks. 2. “Can a Disney Princess come to our room and read my child a bedtime story?” — Disney Princesses can’t tuck your children in at night but you can meet Disney Princesses like Belle, Merida, Ariel, Cinderella, or Pocahontas and take a pic with them in the theme parks. Or, you can dine with Disney Royalty including Snow White and Jasmine at select character meals. Check your MyDisneyExperience.com app for times and locations. Click here for Princess Experiences at Walt Disney World. Dine with Snow White! 3. “How can we sleep in Cinderella’s Castle?” — There really is a royal suite located high above the crowds in the castle in the Magic Kingdom. You can’t book it, but has been a top prize in past Disney sweepstakes. The next best thing to spending the night is dining with Cinderella and Friends at Cinderella’s Royal Table. And right next door, your little one can feel like a Princess with a magical make-over at the Bibiddi Bobiddi Boutique. 4. “Can I take the monorail from my Disney Resort to the theme parks?” — Yes, but only if you’re staying at one of the hotels closest to the Magic Kingdom – the Contemporary, Bay Lake Tower, Polynesian Village, and Grand Floridian Resort and Spa and Villas. You can ride the Monorail from the Ticket and Transportation Center to Epcot. There are also buses, boats, and the soon-to-be operational Disney Skyliner to take you from your Disney Resort to the theme parks (the Skyliner will be available at Caribbean Beach, Pop Century, and Art of Animation). And if you’d rather not wait for Disney transportation, you can call for a Minnie Van to drive you around Walt Disney World. Take a Minnie Van to your destination at Disney World! 5. “I don’t want to wait for the theme park rides. Can I pay to skip the lines?” — You don’t have to pay to skip the lines. Disney has a free service called FastPass+. Disney Resort guests can set up “reservations” in their MyDisneyExperience account 60 days in advance for three rides or experiences each day during their Walt Disney World Vacation. If you want to pay for super-duper access to the rides, a VIP tour with a Disney Guide for 7 hours is the ultimate “cut-the-line” experience. You have questions…Small World Vacations has answers!
