While Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge doesn’t open in Disney World until August 29th, we got our first look at the immersive new land today thanks to some members of our extended DFB family! And of course, no visit to the planet of Batuu is complete without a stop in Oga’s Cantina. Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge Let’s see what’s the same…and what’s NEW…at Oga’s in Disney World! Atmosphere Overall, Oga’s Cantina in Disney World looks very similar to Disneyland’s. Before we dive into everything we found, we want to note that you’ll get 45 minutes to enjoy the Cantina in Hollywood Studios, which is the same time allotment given in Disneyland. Oga’s Cantina The beverage taps, which serve the Cantina’s selection of pre-mixed beverages, looked quite similar. Note that Oga’s ONLY serves pre-mixed drinks, and most of them are pretty sweet and sugary. Oga’s Cantina DJ Rex is spinnin’ the tunes and jammmmminnnnn’ as he should be — same as in Disneyland’s version of the cantina. The Worrt looked the same as well! In case you didn’t know, the Worrt produces eggs for Jabba Juice (you can spot the eggs in the bottom of the container here). The Worrt So let’s bang on the turbo and get this party started! Drinks and Eats The menu at Oga’s Cantina in Disney World is very similar to the location in Disneyland as well. We noticed a few price changes and updates on Disney World’s menu, though, that you need to know about before you head into the new land. Oga’s Menu First up, you’ll see that there aren’t any souvenir glasses mentioned on the menu at the moment. We were told that souvenir glasses will be coming in time for the land’s official opening on August 29th, but that they haven’t been shipped in quite yet. These are likely to include the Endorian mug that comes with the Cliff Dweller, and the Porg mug that comes with the Yub Nub. The Rancor Tooth beer flight board was not available on our visit, either, but we were assured it would be on the menu soon. Oga’s Cantina Menu The Batuu Bits snack is nowhere to be found on Hollywood Studios’ menu, BUT Disney World has its very own alcoholic “provision” called the Rodian Ration ($13.50), which we haven’t seen on the Disneyland menu! This consists of Tito’s Handmade Vodka, Dekuyper Pucker Sour Apple, green apple, Sprite, boba balls, and a pop. The non-alcoholic, gelatin-based Oga’s Obsession was served in a Petri dish in Disneyland, so maybe the Rodian Ration will be the intergalactic jello shot we never knew we needed! Oga’s Obsession in Disneyland During our visit to Oga’s, we tried several alcoholic concoctions: The Outer Rim, Fuzzy Taun Taun, Jet Juice, and Jedi Mind Trick. Unfortunately, Bespin Fizz was unavailable and the Beer Flight wasn’t on the menu yet as we mentioned. HOWEVER, a Cast Member told us the Beer Flight is coming soon. The Outer Rim has the same ingredients as Disneyland’s version, although it looked a tad different this time around. The pink hue was a bit more visible when we enjoyed the cocktail in Hollywood Studios. Also, we paid $17 for it today, while it’s only $16 in Disneyland. The Outer Rim Next, we had the Fuzzy Tauntaun ($15), and our mouths went numb AGAIN! The ingredients were exactly the same as they were in Disneyland, although ours looked a bit more yellow and less orange this time. The Fuzzy Tauntaun is currently priced the same on both coasts. Fuzzy Tauntaun The Jet Juice ($15) was one of our favorites of the night, thanks to the bourbon and hint of chili. This one (spoiler alert) is ALSO the same as Disneyland’s Jet Juice, but it’s priced one dollar higher at Hollywood Studios. Jet Juice Our other favorite was the Jedi Mind Trick ($15). We enjoyed the floral notes of this bright blue beverage here in Disney World’s edition of the land. The ingredients for this one are unsurprisingly identical, although it cost one dollar more in Disney World than it did in Disneyland. Jedi Mind Trick We’re expecting a few menu changes by the time the land officially opens on August 29th — showcasing updated souvenir cups and possibly a new option or two. We’ll be back in Galaxy’s Edge soon and will keep you updated! Overall Aside from the price changes, the missing souvenir mugs, the beer flight, and the addition of the Rodian Ration provision, Hollywood Studios’ Cantina is very similar to Disneyland’s. Whichever coast you visit, you’re sure to be in for a rollicking time at Oga’s Cantina! Which drink do you want to try first at Oga’s Cantina? Let us know in the comments! As you travel to a galaxy far, far away to experience Batuu, you can also transport yourself to a time before Rey, Kylo Ren, and the First Order. Ronto Roasters in Disney World During the rule of the past Galactic Empire, Coruscant was the city that never slept. Literally, the whole planet was one big city, you guys. And, with the hub-bub of such a busy metropolitan area, there’s usually bound to be a good place to get a drink (or two) — just like the latest menu addition to Disney World’s Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge! Search for a Jedi Temple, watch a Senate meeting…whatever you decide to do, you can keep the new Coruscant Cooler from Ronto Roasters in hand! And when members of our extended DFB family got the chance to try it, they shared their review with us! Ronto Roasters Menu The orangey-pink drink is made up of Maker’s mark bourbon, Luxardo maraschino liqueur, Carpano Antica sweet vermouth, cranberry, and lime juice. Coruscant Cooler in Disney World This is certainly a unique option in Black Spire Outpost. The taste is similar to a take on an Old Fashioned, but there’s something a bit…fabricated about it. The flavors have a bit of a bittersweet, metallic-y aftertaste (maybe it’s because one of the droids tried to help make it). The Latest Pink Drink in Galaxy’s Edge You can purchase the Coruscant Cooler at Ronto Roasters for $15. Want to know more about the other drinks and food you can find in Galaxy’s Edge? We’re sharing everything here on DFB! What menu item are you looking forward to trying the most at Ronto Roasters? Let us know in the comments below! In the Star Wars universe, Takodana is a beautiful planet covered in picturesque lakes and stunning greenery where Docking Bay 7 Food and Cargo Chef Strono “Cookie” Tuggs previously created dishes for Maz Kanata in her castle. Now that he’s docked for a bit in Black Spire Outpost on Batuu in Disney World’s Galaxy’s Edge, he’s created a Takodana namesake drink that may take green to the next level! Docking Bay 7 Food and Cargo Rebels, spies, and DFB readers alike can take a soft landing in Disney World’s Galaxy’s Edge for a quick, boozy drink before continuing on their journeys throughout Batuu. The Takodana Quencher has flown into Docking Bay 7 Food and Cargo, ready to cause a revolution for your tastebuds, and members of our extended DFB family got the chance to sample this brand new concoction and shared their review with us! Docking Bay 7 Food and Cargo Menu The drink consists of Bacardi dragon berry rum, blue curaçao, Simply Orange juice, pineapple and kiwi. Just like Rey said, we didn’t know there was this much green in the whole galaxy — and we are loving it! Takonana Quencher A sip of this drink strangely reminds us of…a spiked Capri Sun Pacific Cooler. All the fruity flavors blend together smoothly, and it goes without saying that we like this way more than the Blue and Green Milk, even with their new boozy re-do. This one’s $15, and while it’s pretty much a standard fruity cocktail, it was one of our favorites of the new alcoholic drinks in Disney World’s Galaxy’s Edge. Since Takodana is a safe haven for smugglers, maybe you can drink this and head over to Millennium Falcon: Smugglers Run to fit the occasion? What menu item from Docking Bay 7 are you looking forward to trying the most? Let us know in the comments below! So, do you guys remember when we shared that Boozy Blue and Green Milk Coolers would be offered at Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge in Disney’s Hollywood Studios? Milk Stand in Disney World Well, a few members of our extended DFB family got the chance to try these iconic items today and shared their review! Let’s dig in! First things first — what are blue and green milk? Well…as we already know, they’re not so much milk at all. Both Blue and Green Milk are non-dairy and plant-based frozen beverages made with coconut and rice milks. And we weren’t too impressed with either option when trying them in Galaxy’s Edge at Disneyland — you can read our full review here! The Blue Milk’s flavors were dull and we didn’t seem to taste the dragon fruit, pineapple, lime, or watermelon at all. And though the Green Milk had a bit of a citrus flavor, it tasted more perfume-y than fruity to us. Green Milk and Blue Milk We did create a hack which helped make them taste a little better. You can view our Blue and Green Milk hack here! Milk Hack! But overall, we were pretty much done with blue and green milk… …until YESTERDAY! When boozy blue and green milk were announced, we knew we had to try it! Note that the alcoholic versions of these drinks are served in square cups instead of round cups to differentiate them from their non-alcoholic counterparts. This is helpful for making sure young padawans don’t accidentally take a sip of your cooler! Green and Blue Milk Coolers The Blue Milk Cooler features Bacardi rum. And the Green Milk Cooler adds a bit of Corazon Blanco Tequila to the standard milk. Milk Stand Menu But honestly, our reviewers voted that BOTH flavors still fell flat. While we enjoyed the blue option over the green this time, we still felt like the flavors were dull. Blue Milk Cooler The liquor did help punch it up a bit, but it still isn’t on our “favorite things to drink in Batuu” list. Green Milk Cooler Note that these spiked versions of the milks may not be able to be served in the souvenir milk jugs (once they arrive) at the Milk Stand — again because the alcoholic versions need to be differentiated from the non-alcoholic. Also…that would be a LOT of booze. Those milk jugs are big. Now, these drinks are fun to snap pics with, but they’re a pricey photo prop to be sure. Each Milk Cooler is $14 and can be found at The Milk Stand. If you are looking for something both photo-worthy and delicious, check out the Fuzzy Tauntaun or the Bespin Fizz. Fuzzy Tauntaun And in case you were wondering!! Two new drinks have also made their way to the planet of Batuu at Hollywood Studios. These are the Takodana Quencher from Docking Bay 7 Food and Cargo and the Coruscant Cooler which can be found at Ronto Roasters! Stay tuned for our review of these! Have you tried Blue or Green Milk? Are you ready to eat your way through Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge at Walt Disney World Resort? That day is coming fast, fellow travelers, because it opens on August 29 at Disney’s Hollywood Studios! When you visit Black Spire Outpost on the planet of Batuu, you’ll be greeted with a variety of food and beverage options, and you won’t want to miss out on any of them! Oga’s Cantina If you’re thirsty for a taste of adventure, then Oga’s Cantina might be just the thing to quench your thirst! This notorious watering hole serves as the hangout spot for all of the locals as well as smugglers, bounty hunters, and the groovy droid, DJ R-3X! Here you’ll find a variety of specialty beverages with and without alcohol. For the fully-grown Jedi and bounty hunters out there, the specialty beverages with alcohol are served throughout the day. There’s even a few morning specialties like the Bloody Rancor made with vodka, chile liqueur, spicy Bloody Mary mix, and a rancor bone cookie. The afternoon and evening specialties include options like the Outer Rim featuring silver tequila, açai liqueur, lime juice, pure cane sugar, black salt, and exotic fruit purée. There’s also the Yub Nub made with pineapple rum, spiced rum, citrus juices, and passion fruit as well as my personal favorite, the Fuzzy Tauntaun. This fun drink comes with peach vodka, peach schnapps, orange juice with tangerine, pure cane sugar, and “buzz button tingling” foam. Younglings and travelers of all ages can also enjoy an array of family-friendly concoctions like the Blue Bantha. Offered all day, this beverage features blue milk served chilled and topped with a bantha-inspired vanilla-butter sugar cookie. During the afternoon and evening, sip on concoctions like the Hyperdrive (Punch It!) with Powerade Mountain Berry Blast, white cranberry juice, black cherry purée, and Sprite or the Jabba Juice featuring Simply Orange with pineapple, kiwi, cantaloupe, and blueberry popping pearls. You can also try a new provision with alcohol (exclusive to Walt Disney World Resort): the Rodian Ration. This comes with vodka, sour apple liqueur, Sprite, and green apple popping pearls. Of course, there’s also a version without alcohol called Oga’s Obsession with Odwalla Lemonade, cotton candy flavor, and blue popping pearls. For snacking, you can order Batuu Bits – a trail mix featuring different seasonal crunchies and crispies that pair perfectly with any of the drinks on the menu! Docking Bay 7 Food & Cargo Step into a working hangar bay where you’ll find that Chef Strono “Cookie” Tuggs has docked his food freighter, “Tugg’s Grub: A Traveling Diner for Diners Traveling,” right on the roof. He’s serving up a variety of dishes prepared with ingredients from across the galaxy. Sit down in the spacious hangar (or grab a table in the rustic outdoor seating area) and chow down on eats like the Felucian Garden Spread (plant-based “kefta” with herb hummus, tomato-cucumber relish, and pita) or the Yobshrimp Noodle Salad with chilled shrimp, marinated noodles, and seasonal vegetables. To drink, sip on specialty beverages without alcohol like the Moof Juice with Simply Fruit Punch, Simply Orange with pineapple, and chipotle-pineapple. For a specialty beverage with alcohol (exclusive to Walt Disney World Resort) – try the Takodana Quencher with dragon berry rum, blue curaçao, Simply Orange with pineapple, and kiwi. And to satisfy your sweet tooth, indulge in the Batuu-bon featuring chocolate cake with white chocolate mousse and coffee custard or the Oi-oi Puff – a raspberry cream puff with passion fruit mousse. Milk Stand Stop by the Milk Stand to try Batuu’s legendary blue and green treats. Both the Blue Milk and the Green Milk feature a plant-based blend of coconut and rice milks and can even be ordered with alcohol (exclusive to Walt Disney World Resort). Sip on a Blue Milk Cooler with rum or a Green Milk Cooler with tequila! And don’t forget to order your Bubo Wumba Family Farms souvenir drink vessel. Ronto Roasters Roasted to perfection by our pitmaster droid 8D-JB, the Ronto Wraps are a great grab-and-go bite served at Ronto Roasters. They come with roasted pork, grilled sausage, peppercorn sauce, and tangy slaw wrapped in pita. You can also take a bite out of some Nuna Turkey Jerky, offered in sweet and spicy flavors. To quench your thirst, you can try the non-alcoholic Tatooine Sunset with Gold Peak Unsweetened Tea, Odwalla Lemonade, melon, and blueberry. Or you can enjoy the Walt Disney World Resort exclusive specialty beverages with alcohol: Trandoshan Ale (a spiced wheat ale) or the Coruscant Cooler featuring Kentucky bourbon, cherry liqueur, fortified wine, cranberry, and lime juice. Kat Saka’s Kettle Pop into this eclectic food stall (run by grain merchant Kat Saka) in the Black Spire Outpost Marketplace for a unique taste of Batuu. The Outpost Mix is a combination of sweet and savory popcorn and is the perfect snack for the traveler on the go!
