  1. Shake, shake, shake, señora! Black Tap Craft Burgers & Shakes Yeah, we really love milkshakes — so much that they make us, well, a little bit crazy! That’s why we’re happy dancing for the latest CrazyShake in Disneyland!! To celebrate National S’mores Day, Black Tap Craft Burgers & Shakes in Downtown Disney is roasting up some marshmallows for the S’mores CrazyShake. S’mores CrazyShake The shake is topped with whipped cream, chocolate drizzle, two classic s’mores, and has a chocolate frosted rim covered in crushed graham crackers. S’mores CrazyShake Sign While the graham crackers added a little crunch and the chocolate was rich, the highlight of the S’mores CrazyShake was the marshmallow! Usually, the marshmallows on s’mores-themed desserts are slightly tough and put a damper on the treat. However, the toasted marshmallow on the shake was super soft and easy to pull apart. Crushed Graham Cracker, Chocolate Drizzle, And Whipped Cream! We were even able to create our own additional s’mores with all the ooey, gooey marshmallow!! The CrazyShake was also surprisingly sturdy, and we could enjoy it without pieces falling off. Mini S’more From The S’mores CrazyShake Although only today counts as National S’mores Day, you can get the S’mores CrazyShake through August 19th for $17 before the Annual Passholder discount. Look At All That Marshmallow! Still wants s’more s’mores? Head over to Sprinkles for the S’more Cupcake! Check out more Disneyland Food Reviews Here!! 2. Huuurryyy baaackkk… There’s more The Haunted Mansion-themed food in store for you guys! The Haunted Mansion Anniversary Sign at River Belle Terrace The ghosts are welcoming you to their swingin’ wake with another delicious sandwich and dessert that will give you hot and cold running chills. Check out the rest of The Haunted Mansion Anniversary eats and treats available in Disneyland! Recently, we’ve tried The Caretaker sandwich over at the Hungry Bear Restaurant and the “Honey… I Do” Beignets at the Mint Julep Bar. Now, we’re taking a Doom Buggy ride over to the River Belle Terrace for more spooky snacks — you know our girl @DininginDisney was all over this one! River Belle Terrace First on the menu, the Sliders Materialize have risen from the grave, served with deadly delicious seasoned fries. The Sliders Materialize The first slider is stacked with spicy pork belly, cabbage slaw, and a pomegranate vinaigrette on a toasted brioche bun. The sweetness of the pomegranate vinaigrette is a beautiful contrast to the spicy pork, tying the entire burger together. Spicy Slider The second is layered with savory pork belly, butter lettuce, cherry tomatoes, black pepper bacon mayo, and a crispy bacon “spike” on a toasted brioche bun. The black pepper bacon mayo is killer on this burger! The zesty flavor combines with the pork, vegetables, and bacon so well that we would have liked even more on the sandwich. Savory Slider Ezra, Gus, and Phineas have found their way all over the park with the Hitchhiking Ghost Containers and Professor Phineas Plump’s Cure-All Fritters. We brought ’em with us to River Belle Terrace to take a pit stop with the “Hitchhiking” Ghost Blue Velvet Cake. “Hitchhiking” Ghost Blue Velvet Cake The blue velvet cake is topped with blueberry purée, rice croquette brittle, and a vanilla-blueberry crisp. Inside the Blue Velvet Cake Soft, gooey, and INCREDIBLE! This cake has us seriously considering becoming the 1,000th happy haunt. The blueberry purée soaks into the blue velvet cake, making the dessert melt in your mouth with every bite. The rice croquette brittle and blueberry crisp add a little bit of crunch to the cake, and the whole blueberries on top provide an extra burst of flavor. Made With Blueberry Purée, Rice Croquette Brittle, And A Vanilla-Blueberry Crisp This is 100% worth making the res at River Belle, but be aware that your mouth will be blue the rest of the day!! While you’re making your crypt crawl to all the restaurants offering The Haunted Mansion Anniversary menu items, be sure to stop at the River Belle Terrace for these sliders and cake! 21. Hello, there foolish mortals! Dead-Cadent Funnel Cake Today, we’ve been chatting about all things Haunted Mansion since it is, in fact, The Haunted Mansion’s 50th anniversary. To celebrate, Disneyland has released a bunch of mansion-themed treats. As soon as we saw the Dead-Cadent Funnel Cake, we knew we had to try it! The Dead-Cadent Funnel Cake ($8.99) can be found at Hungry Bear Restaurant in Disneyland. It’s a house funnel cake topped with brownies, white chocolate raspberry ice cream, and chocolate pearls. Haunted Mansion Treats And honestly, it’s a funnel cake that we’ve been dying to meet because it was SO stinking GOOD! We loved the chocolate flavor…but our favorite part had to be the hint of raspberry! The ice cream tasted much more like vanilla than raspberry, but we didn’t mind! Dead-Cadent Funnel Cake The ice cream melted quickly, which made the funnel cake a little soggy. But the flavors were so yummy that it didn’t bother us. It’s sweet and rich without being overpowering!! Dead-Cadent Funnel Cake We’re SO happy that this treat is sticking around until August 25th, because it’s seriously a must-get treat for us. We hope that you have a chance to give it a try too! And stay tuned, because we will be reviewing many more mansion treats throughout the day. 22. It may only be August, but fall fun is right around the corner at Walt Disney World Resort with seasonal events sure to please the entire family. It’s a festive time of year to visit, especially with kids in tow. Two of my favorite harvest-time events are the Epcot International Food & Wine Festival that kicks off Aug. 29 and Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party that starts Aug. 16 at Magic Kingdom Park. Both events are ideal for all ages, and will surely meet the approval of little ones with age-appropriate activities aplenty. Must do’s for young families during the Epcot International Food & Wine Festival: Disney Du Jour Dance Party: Little ones can rock out to a DJ spinning tunes daily, plus appearances from favorite Disney characters with live performances by Radio Disney artists on Fridays and Saturdays during the fest. Remy’s Ratatouille Hide & Squeak Scavenger Hunt: Purchase a map and begin your quest to find Remy who is hiding out in 15 different spots high and low throughout World Showcase. This low-key Ratatouille-inspired scavenger hunt is a family-centric activity just right for when you need some down-time from attractions. Once you complete the hunt you can turn in your sticker-filled map for a special Remy-inspired prize. Candy Sushi presented by Adventures by Disney: Kids can learn to roll sushi-inspired creations with a Disney chef using gummies, crisped rice and sweets galore. This event happens daily during the festival inside Sunshine Seasons. (A small fee is required. Reservations are recommended.) Family Play Zone: Let your little ones burn off some energy at this fun playground sized just right. Kid-Friendly Dishes: Check out dishes designed with kids in mind like the yummy Belgian Waffles dripping with warm chocolate ganache and whipped cream at the Belgium kiosk, or loaded macaroni and cheese at the Active Eats stop. There’s also wicked fun for little ones during Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party. Magic Kingdom Park is transformed with ghoulish ghosts, glowing jack o lanterns, gentle spooks, candy trails and so much more. Little ones love the friendly frights during this legendary Halloween celebration. Disney Junior Jam at Storybook Circus: This popular dance party features stars like Vampirina, Doc McStuffins and other Disney Junior faves. Kids love dance time with their pals, and this is one party they won’t want to miss. “Mickey’s Boo-To-You Parade” is my all-time favorite! Grab a comfortable spot for the early parade, and munch on some themed sweets while you take in grinning ghosts and floats overflowing with a flurry of characters decked out in their Halloween finest. So get yourself in the spirit of fall with these annual, can’t-miss events at Walt Disney World Resort! View the full article

  24. I do… I did. The Bride has every guest visiting The Haunted Mansion spooked with her sinister ploys to kill her husbands for their wealth. Maybe, just maybe though, she’ll be sweet on you with her own addition to Disneyland’s Haunted Mansion 50th Anniversary list of treats. Disneyland’s The Haunted Mansion The “Honey… I Do” Beignets have materialized at the Mint Julep Bar! The Haunted Mansion Anniversary Menu Sign at Mint Julep The beignets are topped with honey praline and powdered sugar and can be dipped in a honey praline sauce. “Honey… I Do” Beignets With Honey Praline Dipping Sauce Unlike the other tasty desserts offered for the celebration (like The Haunted Mansion Rice Crispie Treat), there wasn’t anything super special about the “Honey… I Do” Beignets other than the name! Soft And Sweet Pastry With Powdered Sugar While the sweet pastries tasted like normal beignets, the large amount of honey topping soaked into the treats and weighed them down. Our beignets were unfortunately too soggy for our liking. Hopefully, we don’t upset the Bride too much by saying that we liked the Butterscotch Beignets from the “Get Your Ears On” Celebration more. But if you DO want to try them, you can get yours in a totally awesome Gus Dessert Bucket! Check out the Hitchhiking Ghost Souvenir Container collection here! Soggy Beignets From the Honey If you’re on a mission to try all the snacks offered for The Haunted Mansion’s 50th anniversary, you can get the “Honey… I Do” Beignets in a 3-pack for $5.49 or a 6-pack for $8.99.
