Hello, fellow mortals. Haunted Mansion Rice Crispie For those of you who don’t know, The Haunted Mansion turned 50 last week and Disneyland released a slew of treats to celebrate. A few of these include the Swinging Wake Cake and the Haunted Mansion Rice Crispie. But now, we’re back to share a bit of information on the Bride and Groom Churros. Thanks to our friend Heather Sievers and her Insta @diningindisney, we have some fantastic photos of the Bride and Groom Churros! The Bride Churro is described as an elegantly-dressed churro in a bouquet of vanilla and sugar! The Groom Churro is described as a classic churro dressed in a duo of dark and milk chocolate. Bride and Groom Churro The churros are $5.50 and can be found at locations like the New Orleans and Critter Country Churro Carts. We aren’t too sure how long these guys will stick around, but try your hand at one of these locations if you’re interested in trying one of these new treats! Goblins and ghouls will soon be making their presence known at this year’s Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party! Tricks and treats await all ages and the Disney Parks Moms Panel is here to offer up their bootastic suggestions and hair-raising tips to make the most of this spectacular evening! Not So Scared Adults If your plans include an adult only trip to this special ticketed evening of fun, Jessica has three words for you … stay up late! “There are multiple performances of the great shows you’re going to want to see, like the ‘Hocus Pocus Villain Spelltacular’ or Mickey’s “Boo-To-You” Halloween Parade. The earlier performances are extremely popular with families with young kids, so I recommend using this time to catch your favorite attractions that have spooky holiday twists,” she exclaims. “For instance, riding Space Mountain in complete darkness with a Halloween soundtrack, or taking a journey on Pirates of the Caribbean with a crew of live pirates joining the story on a quest for treasure. If you’re a Millennial like me and you were a kid when ‘Hocus Pocus’ came out in 1993, you’re going to have so much fun watching the Sanderson Sisters perform their last show of the evening, which begins at the stroke of midnight.” Wyatt reminds adults that it’s okay to be a kid on this ghoulishly fun evening and encourages Guests of all ages to dress up. However, he reminds Guests to consider the weather and that although the calendar may say Fall, it can still be quite warm in Central Florida. He also recommends checking out the official costume guidelines to make sure costume adhere to the rules and regulations. Don’t forget the Little Ones There will be plenty of Not-So-Scary fun for the little ones! From trick-or-treating to dancing the night away at Storybook Circus with some of your favorite Disney Junior characters the fun will last all night. Panel Tip: Don’t miss this year’s new treat trail at Monster’s, Inc. Laugh Floor! As you enter to collect your candy, the Monsters will interact in new ways to learn more about this holiday we call Halloween! And for the young ones dressing up, make sure they show off their Halloween attire in the Frontierland Costume Promenade where Prospector Cactus-Flower Cate gathers up the little ones to join in a quest to find the ultimate treasure … candy! Jodie reminds all goblins in attendance to check out the brand new Disney’s Not So Spooky Spectacular fireworks show! During the fireworks display, Mickey Mouse and a few of his friends are whisked away to a mysterious haunted house, complete with a gathering of Disney villains and oh yeah, some dancing skeletons, too! For more great tips on preparing for your Not-So-Scary getaway, or for general Disney vacation questions, visit DisneyParksMomsPanel.com for an answer from one of our panelists. Panelists receive compensation for their participation on the Disney Parks Moms Panel. View the full article

Last week we shared a glimpse into the crafting of Disney’s Riviera Resort, the newest Walt Disney World resort and Disney Vacation Club property, projected to open December 2019. The peek behind the scenes continues with an exclusive look at the making of the tower slide that will be a focal point of the resort’s feature pool. The inspiration for Disney’s Riviera Resort came from Walt Disney’s travels throughout Europe and the Riviera region, and the art, architecture and storytelling he found there. Imagineers weave that storytelling into the details of the entire resort, including the tower slide. This exciting feature of the resort is inspired by centuries-old stone towers and rocky bluffs found along the European Riviera shores. The 30-foot-tall tower will house a nearly two-story-tall corkscrew slide that will wind down into the feature pool also called the Riviera Pool. Containing nearly 105,000 gallons of water, the Riviera Pool will is sure to provide wonderful, waterful fun and a refreshing reprieve from delightful days of poolside fun in the sun. Under construction and projected to open Dec. 16, 2019, Disney’s Riviera Resort will be inspired by Europe and imagined by Disney. Bookings for Disney’s Riviera Resort are open now. For more information or to make hotel reservations, visit the Walt Disney World Resort website or call 407-939-7762 or your travel agent. View the full article

Fantastic lands with incredible creatures — they’re pretty much Disney‘s specialty. Market House in Disneyland Do you know what is also Disneyland‘s specialty? Unique, one-of-a-kind snacks and sips. Yeah, Peter Pan and Alice are definitely going to want to make the trip to California to try this new Frappuccino and Refresher. The Wonderland Frappuccino and the Neverland Sunset have made their exciting, exclusive debut at the Disneyland Starbucks! The original flavors were crafted in-store by Cast Members, who took the Alice in Wonderland and Peter Pan stories to heart to create the drinks. Starbucks Specialty Drinks Sign The Wonderland Frappuccino is a mocha crème Frappuccino, mixed with strawberry purée and a mocha swirl, and topped with whipped cream. One sip of the Wonderland Frappuccino had us falling down a sweet rabbit hole — we just couldn’t stop drinking it! Wonderland Frappuccino We immediately thought that the beverage was comparable to chocolate covered strawberries with a mocha twist. However, the coffee flavor blended beautifully with the strawberry, making the taste balanced and delicious. If you’re feeling curiouser and curiouser, the Frappuccino is available for $5.19 for a tall, $5.69 for a grande, and $6.49 for a venti. Mocha, Strawberry, and Whipped Cream The winner out of the two, though, was the Neverland Sunset, which is an iced lemonade mixed with peach juice and passion fruit tea. If you try to think of the happiest thoughts of the most refreshing drink possible on a hot summer day, this is it! Neverland Sunset Although the lemonade takes up most of the cup, the other flavors still popped! The taste of peach juice, passion fruit tea, and lemonade were each distinct, but complemented one another. It slightly reminded us of a light, tropical Arnold Palmer and had our tastebuds taking flight! The Refresher can be purchased for $4.79 for a tall, $5.19 for a grande, and $5.79 for a venti. Lemonade, Peach Juice, and Passion Fruit Tea According to the Cast Members, the drinks will only be available through the end of the Main Street Electrical Parade showings on September 30th. Try Both Through September 30th! To drink would be an awfully great adventure! Check out more Disneyland Food Reviews Here!! Join the DFB Newsletter to get all the breaking news right in your inbox! Every Disney hero has to struggle against a villain, but what would we DO without these fabulous females?!?!? Evil Queen While we’re definitely ready for villains to show up in places like the Oogie Boogie Bash in Disneyland, we might accept a poison apple or two if it means we get to rep these wicked witches! This spectacular Disney Villains Collection has made its nefarious debut at The Dress Shop in Downtown Disney! I know I know; we talk about villains merch all the time. It’s coming in droves…cause Disney knows we’ll buy it ALL. But these, y’all…these are special. The Disney Villains Collection Fire doesn’t scare this villain — it only fuels her anger and transformation into a horrific (and awesome) dragon. The Maleficent Vest warns others that she’s a force to be reckoned with because she’s most likely “responsible for all misfortune.” Vicious ;-D The Maleficent Shirt is $39.99 You can even pair it with the Maleficent Loungefly Backpack, horns and all. Look at those EYES! Ugh; I’m ded. The Maleficent Loungefly Backpack is $80 Maleficent Pattern on the Inner Lining Ready to poison anybody just to claim the title of “the fairest of them all,” the Evil Queen may be malicious, but she’s also kind of fabulous. Just look at that criss-crossing front on the Evil Queen Shirt (yaaas, girl)! The Evil Queen Shirt is $34.99 Stick a few of your own poison apples in the Evil Queen Loungefly Backpack, complete with the Queen’s killer eyebrows and smoky eyes (goals, tbqh). The Evil Queen Loungefly Backpack is $80 Evil Queen Pattern on the Inner Lining These females aren’t the only villains who can transfigure themselves into something or someone different. Ursula not only takes away Ariel‘s voice, imprisons merfolks as polyps, and creates her own magical potions; she morphs into Vanessa to steal Prince Eric away. Um, you can talk about that seriously ruthless dedication with the Ursula Shirt!! The Ursula Shirt is $34.99 Since we love dogs sooo much, we love to hate Cruella de Vil. Regardless, her chic attention to detail (that pop of color with her red lipstick is gorg) is something we can all get behind… . Just not the fur coat part. You can get a little reckless like this baddie with the Cruella Shirt! The Cruella Shirt is $39.99 The only thing fiendish about this collection is how great we’re going to look in it! *Insert evil laughter here* Join the DFB Newsletter to get all the breaking news right in your inbox! Ever heard the words, “You have to finish all your food before you can have dessert?” Vivoli il Gelato Now your childhood dreams are coming true, because you can have dessert for breakfast in Disney World! Yeah, you can already count us in. The August Special Brownie Waffle Sundae is fresh out of the oven at Vivoli il Gelato in Disney Springs! Brownie Waffle Sundae Sign The baked brownie waffle is topped with three scoops of your choice of gelato, whipped cream, and your choice of sauce (chocolate, caramel, or strawberry). Brownie Waffle Sundae If you want a HUGE dessert all to yourself or a treat to share with friends, the Brownie Waffle Sundae is definitely the snack to pick! We chose the cookies and cream, salted caramel, and biscotti dough gelato and the chocolate sauce for our sundae — and they were delicious!! List of Vivoli’s Gelato Flavors The hot waffle tastes just like a brownie, but maintains the waffle consistency instead of being too cake-y. (Now, if anyone has a lead on a super fudge-y waffle-sized brownie, please @ me!) Although melting ice cream usually sounds like a problem, the different flavors of gelato mixing together on top of the waffle made for an ooey, gooey (although messy) treat! Three Scoops of Your Choice of Gelato, Sauce, And Whipped Cream! We think that being able to customize your own massive Brownie Waffle Sundae is certainly worth the $13 price tag at Vivoli il Gelato. Messy, But Delicious! Mom, we know what we want for breakfast!! Have you tried the Brownie Waffle Sundae yet? Let us know in the comments below! Related posts: NEW! Shake, shake, shake, señora! Black Tap Craft Burgers & Shakes Yeah, we really love milkshakes — so much that they make us, well, a little bit crazy! That’s why we’re happy dancing for the latest CrazyShake in Disneyland!! To celebrate National S’mores Day, Black Tap Craft Burgers & Shakes in Downtown Disney is roasting up some marshmallows for the S’mores CrazyShake. S’mores CrazyShake The shake is topped with whipped cream, chocolate drizzle, two classic s’mores, and has a chocolate frosted rim covered in crushed graham crackers. S’mores CrazyShake Sign While the graham crackers added a little crunch and the chocolate was rich, the highlight of the S’mores CrazyShake was the marshmallow! Usually, the marshmallows on s’mores-themed desserts are slightly tough and put a damper on the treat. However, the toasted marshmallow on the shake was super soft and easy to pull apart. Crushed Graham Cracker, Chocolate Drizzle, And Whipped Cream! We were even able to create our own additional s’mores with all the ooey, gooey marshmallow!! The CrazyShake was also surprisingly sturdy, and we could enjoy it without pieces falling off. Mini S’more From The S’mores CrazyShake Although only today counts as National S’mores Day, you can get the S’mores CrazyShake through August 19th for $17 before the Annual Passholder discount. Huuurryyy baaackkk… There’s more The Haunted Mansion-themed food in store for you guys! The Haunted Mansion Anniversary Sign at River Belle Terrace The ghosts are welcoming you to their swingin’ wake with another delicious sandwich and dessert that will give you hot and cold running chills. Check out the rest of The Haunted Mansion Anniversary eats and treats available in Disneyland! Recently, we’ve tried The Caretaker sandwich over at the Hungry Bear Restaurant and the “Honey… I Do” Beignets at the Mint Julep Bar. Now, we’re taking a Doom Buggy ride over to the River Belle Terrace for more spooky snacks — you know our girl @DininginDisney was all over this one! River Belle Terrace First on the menu, the Sliders Materialize have risen from the grave, served with deadly delicious seasoned fries. The Sliders Materialize The first slider is stacked with spicy pork belly, cabbage slaw, and a pomegranate vinaigrette on a toasted brioche bun. The sweetness of the pomegranate vinaigrette is a beautiful contrast to the spicy pork, tying the entire burger together. Spicy Slider The second is layered with savory pork belly, butter lettuce, cherry tomatoes, black pepper bacon mayo, and a crispy bacon “spike” on a toasted brioche bun. The black pepper bacon mayo is killer on this burger! The zesty flavor combines with the pork, vegetables, and bacon so well that we would have liked even more on the sandwich. Savory Slider Ezra, Gus, and Phineas have found their way all over the park with the Hitchhiking Ghost Containers and Professor Phineas Plump’s Cure-All Fritters. We brought ’em with us to River Belle Terrace to take a pit stop with the “Hitchhiking” Ghost Blue Velvet Cake. “Hitchhiking” Ghost Blue Velvet Cake The blue velvet cake is topped with blueberry purée, rice croquette brittle, and a vanilla-blueberry crisp. Inside the Blue Velvet Cake Soft, gooey, and INCREDIBLE! This cake has us seriously considering becoming the 1,000th happy haunt. The blueberry purée soaks into the blue velvet cake, making the dessert melt in your mouth with every bite. The rice croquette brittle and blueberry crisp add a little bit of crunch to the cake, and the whole blueberries on top provide an extra burst of flavor. Made With Blueberry Purée, Rice Croquette Brittle, And A Vanilla-Blueberry Crisp This is 100% worth making the res at River Belle, but be aware that your mouth will be blue the rest of the day!! While you’re making your crypt crawl to all the restaurants offering The Haunted Mansion Anniversary menu items, be sure to stop at the River Belle Terrace for these sliders and cake! Professor Phineas Plump’s Cure-All Fritters You know we love cheese, and the pimento inside these fritters doesn’t disappoint. The tiny bits of pepper scattered throughout add a nice kick.
