  2. The fan-favorite “Main Street Electrical Parade” is back, lighting up Disneyland park. This spectacular nighttime procession glitters with magic and imagination, featuring characters from beloved Disney stories—including Alice in Wonderland, Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs, Cinderella, among others. Today, I wanted to resurface this behind-the-scenes video showing what it takes to get some of our performers ready for the show each night. The court dancers in the Cinderella unit have been part of the “Main Street Electrical Parade” since its original run in 1972. With nightly performances scheduled through September 30, you still have time to get out to Disneyland park before this special engagement “glows” away! View the full article

  6. Grim Grinning Ghosts materialize for what might be the best pair of Haunted Mansion ears the world has ever known. Haunted Mansion Ears This NEW set of ears we found in Disneyland feature the famous singing busts from the Haunted Mansion. And get this — the busts actually glow in the dark — just like they do in the attraction. Sadly, you won’t get to hear the beautiful voices of the Mellomen when wearing these, but heck, at least they’re getting the recognition they deserve. Haunted Mansion Ears The busts are SUPER detailed and even have some of the fun expressions that you’ll see when watching them come to life on the attraction. Haunted Mansion Ears Not only do the ears feature the famous purple from the Mansion’s wallpaper, but the designs play into some of the famous scenes from the Haunted Mansion, like the Hitchhiking Ghosts. Haunted Mansion Ears You may also spot a few relevant scenes or characters from the Mansion on the back of the ears. The details are endless! Haunted Mansion Ears These ears are $27.99 and can be found at The Mad Hatter on Main Street in Disneyland. We haven’t spotted them in Disney World yet, but we’ll keep our fingers crossed that they’ll pop up there soon. Join the DFB Newsletter to get all the breaking news right in your inbox! 8. Disney World’s Sunshine Churros carts are officially open! Sunshine Churros Two Sunshine Churros kiosks have opened in Disney Springs and we’re bringing you a first look and full review of the churros! You can find one cart in Disney Springs’ West Side and one in the Marketplace. The carts themselves vary a bit from one another. One is wood, with black, turquoise, and yellow accents, while the other is wood, with black, silver and yellow accents. You can’t miss the cheery Sunshine Churros sign on the top of each kiosk! Sunshine Churros Cart The menu features seven specialty churros — traditional cinnamon, watermelon, apple cinnamon, Fruity Pebbles, salted caramel, cherry limeade, and peach mango ($5.25 each), and two gourmet churros — strawberry cheesecake and Oreo ($6.25). You can also add a dip (Nutella or Dulce de Leche) to a specialty churro for $1 more. Sunshine Churros Menu If you’re on the Disney Dining Plan, we have great news for you — each one of these churros is snack credit-eligible. Sunshine Churros Flavors We tried ALL nine churro flavors and we’re going to tell you about each one. Let’s get started! Churros We first tried the Salted Caramel Churro. This one was fun but tasted more sweet than salty. We would’ve enjoyed more of a salty-sweet flavor, but it was still pretty good. Salted Caramel Churro The Strawberry Cheesecake Churro was a nice change since the churro itself was actually flavored (AND it comes with cream cheese dip!). It wasn’t our favorite but it was still good! It wasn’t sickeningly sweet, and the cream cheese dip paired well with the churro. Strawberry Cheesecake Churro The Traditional Cinnamon Churro was delicious, but we’d recommend trying a new flavor since there are so many choices! Traditional Cinnamon Churro The Apple Cinnamon Churro was yummy as well. We could easily taste both the apple and cinnamon flavors. If you want something a bit more unique than the Traditional Cinnamon, this churro is a great choice. Apple Cinnamon Churro We absolutely LOVED the Cherry Limeade Churro! It was sweet and tangy in the best way possible. The cherry-lime combination was unique and wonderful. Cherry Limeade Churro The Fruity Pebbles Churro tasted exactly like the cereal. It wasn’t our very favorite, but it was fun and the glitter was cute as well. Kiddos will probably love this one! Fruity Pebbles Churro The Oreo Churro was like a big brownie with a sweet vanilla filling. It didn’t really taste much like a churro, but it was yummy and will likely be a hit with kids! Oreo Churro The Peach Mango Churro was our other favorite in addition to the Cherry Limeade Churro. We loved the flavor combination and would definitely order it again. Peach Mango Churro The last one we tried was the Watermelon Churro. It tasted exactly like sour watermelon candy and we really enjoyed it. If you’re looking for a sour candy flavor, this is the churro for you! Watermelon Churro Overall We were very impressed with our first visit to Disney Springs’ Sunshine Churros carts. We had high expectations since these carts originated in Downtown Disney, and we were very glad our expectations were met. The Cast Members were so kind to us and we could tell they really loved what they were doing. Sunshine Churros The next time you’re in Disney Springs, be sure to check out Sunshine Churros! Which flavor are you going to try first? Let us know in the comments below! Related posts: Just Announced! A COOKIE DOUGH Food Truck is Coming to Disney Springs! NEWS!! 10. We always love coming across new cupcakes at Disney’s Pop Century Resort, like the Bo Peep character cupcake we spotted last month. Everything Pop Food Court Now, Everything Pop Food Court has introduced two MORE cupcakes — the Bubble, Apple, Toil, and Trouble Cupcake — which you can learn about here — and the Chewbacca Chocolate Hazelnut Cupcake! Chewbacca Chocolate Hazelnut Cupcake The Chewbacca Chocolate Hazelnut Cupcake consists of chocolate hazelnut cake with a chocolate hazelnut filling. It is topped with chocolate buttercream frosting and two white chocolate and milk chocolate sticks. Chewbacca Chocolate Hazelnut Cupcake The cupcake was super cute but it unfortunately crumbled as soon as we cut into it. We thought the cake was moist and delicious but just couldn’t stand up. The chocolate hazelnut filling was very tasty, and if you love Nutella, this is the cupcake for you! Chewbacca Chocolate Hazelnut Cupcake Overall, we thought this cupcake was fun and yummy, but very messy. If you want to try it, you can grab it at Everything Pop Food Court for $5.49 or a Disney Dining Plan snack credit (just get lots of napkins!). What’s your favorite cupcake in Disney World? 11. It may be August, but it’s officially spooky season around Walt Disney World Resort!! Bubble, Apple, Toil, and Trouble Cupcake And you know what that means…monstrously eerie cupcakes just like the Bubble, Apple, Toil, and Trouble Cupcake we found at Disney’s Pop Century Resort. This is a yellow cake made with a caramel apple (!!) filling complete with green apples. It’s topped with vanilla buttercream, candied eyes, a sugar bone, sprinkles, and a gummy worm. The toppings are totally weird but we’re super into it. I mean it’s Halloween and this really makes us think of some sort of spooky and fun witch’s brew. Bubble, Apple, Toil, and Troll Cupcake For starters, the filling was BOMB because the apples still had a crunch to them. And since they’re green apples, they were tart, which made them even better in our opinion! Bubble, Apple, Toil, and Trouble Cupcake We didn’t really taste any sort of flavor in the buttercream. And it, like the Amuck Cupcake from Magic Kingdom, left us with black teeth thanks to the color of the buttercream. So, bring a toothbrush if you plan to eat this one!! Bubble, Apple, Toil, and Trouble Cupcake We enjoyed the cupcake’s toppings and fillings, but other than that this cupcake just fell flat. Bubble, Apple, Toil, and Trouble Cupcake We think it’s a ton of fun for the kiddos, though! You can find it at Everything POP Food Court for $5.49 or a snack credit if you’re on the Disney Dining Plan. What do you think of this new cupcake? Let us know in the comments below! 12. Ahh, cheese: basically one of our favorite food groups here at DFB. Blue Cheese at BaseLine Tap House If you’re as obsessed as we are (and we are pretty passionate), you’ll want to know EXACTLY where you can find the best cheese in Disney, from killer mac to cream cheese frosting excellence and more! And, we’ve got the greatest list for you, friends… . While we seriously could go on for hours, we have compiled a bunch of our favorite snacks, meals, and desserts with cheese that SHOULD be in the parks right now (though everything is subject to change at Disney!). We hope you’re hungry!! (Who are we kidding? We’re always ready to eat some cheese.) Savory Cheesies Salty, savory cheesies are always a good idea! Here are a few of the best that we’ve found on Disney World property! Grilled Three-Cheese Sandwich This one is served with tomato-basil soup dipper, potato barrels, or vegetable macaroni salad at Woody’s Lunch Box in Hollywood Studios for $8.99. Woody’s Lunch Box Grilled Three-Cheese Sandwich The mix of provolone, cheddar cheese, and a cheddar cream cheese spread onto artisan bread creates the perfect cheese pull, while also maintaining some great crunchiness! It also even has a hint of garlic for all you grown-up grilled cheese lovers! Click here for our FULL review of Woody’s Lunchbox. Grilled Cheese and Tomato Bisque Find this incredible hidden gem at Beaches and Cream at Beach Club Resort for $13. Resting on sourdough bread, there are SIX different kinds of cheese that make up this grilled cheese. Beaches And Cream Grilled Cheese And Tomato Bisque Dipped in the creamy tomato bisque, it’s a flavorful combination you don’t want to miss. Click here for a review! Grilled Cheese LOOK at that, my cheese-loving friends. Served with gourmet pickles and tomato soup at the Boardwalk Bakery at Boardwalk Inn for $9.99, this grilled sammie tastes just like your mom’s grilled cheese except WAY. BETTER. Boardwalk Bakery’s Grilled Cheese The gooey cheese on white bread also has pickles throughout the sandwich!! And, the tomato soup actually tastes like pizza sauce when you dip it in… Almost like a pizza grilled cheese (but tastier). Pimento Grilled Cheese Okay, you know how we feel about Planet Hollywood Observatory in Disney Springs — but this is just about the only thing we can whole-heartily recommend there! For $15.99, the six cheese mac and cheese and pimento cheese are piled high on garlic-buttered sourdough slices in this sandwich. Planet Hollywood Observatory Pimento Grilled Cheese It’s messy, crunchy, and gooey — just like we like our grilled cheeses. Read our review of this beauty here! Baked Macaroni & Cheese Head over to Eight Spoon Café in Animal Kingdom to grab this epic counter service baked mac. Crispy on the top, filled with cheese on the bottom; there is just SO MUCH CHEESE baked into this thing, and we can’t get enough of it! Baked Mac and Cheese with Sweet Chili Shrimp If you want to take your tastebuds to the next level, the smoky addition of the pulled pork and BBQ sauce or sweet chili sauced shrimp makes this dish insanely good. We reviewed all three of the Baked Mac & Cheese options here! Crispy Mac & Cheese Bites Oh hai glorious, creamy mac, all fried up AND served with tomato nage AND sprinkled with pecorino cheese at Wine Bar George in Disney Springs! This is an unpretentious dish that has every right to be called upper crust. Wine Bar George Crispy Mac & Cheese Bites Soft and melty mac and cheese marries well with the tomato nage. It’s basically the perfect grilled cheese with tomato soup vibe…but so much better. These small bites pack a lot of amazing flavor. So much that you’ll want to get another round. Grab a snack and click here to read all about these balls of fried mac and cheese! Mac & Cheese Food Truck YES — there’s a Mac and Cheese FOOD TRUCK. You’re WELCOME. Click HERE to see our full review of the Mac and Cheese Truck! Baked Macaroni & Cheese with Pulled Pork What’s cookin’, good lookin’? This mac at Flame Tree Barbecue in Animal Kingdom is baked and piled high with smoked pulled pork, onion rings, and coleslaw. So, basically, it’s an entire MEAL made with some of our favorite comfort foods. Flame Tree Barbecue’s Baked Macaroni and Cheese with Pulled Pork The texture of the crunchy onion rings differs from the smooth mac, making the consistency of each bite amazing for $11.99. Read our full review of the Baked Mac and Cheese with Pulled Pork here! Nudel Gratin It may not look like much, but when you dig into this baked mac from Epcot’s Sommerfest in the Germany Pavilion, you’ll understand why it makes our best-of list! Nudel Gratin at Sommerfest Super flavorful cheese is baked throughout (there’s no shortage on the cheese to mac ratio here), and it’s basically a transformative experience if you’re a cheese-head. Click here to see our review of the Sommerfest Nudel Gratin! The Loaded Macaroni and Cheese Yessssss… Find this one at the Epcot Food & Wine Festival every year. You had us at 1+ cheese types! With this plate at BaseLine Tap House in Hollywood Studios, you get a little bit of crunchy and soft, sweet and savory, and all the deliciousness of the cheese for $10. BaseLine Tap House California Cheese And Charcuterie Plate It’s a pretty great deal from an underrated hang-out. Check it out here. Artisanal Manchego Cheese Vertical At Toledo — Tapas, Steak & Seafood in Coronado Springs Resort, there are ALL the cheese plates. Um, have you seen their House Boards?! Yet, we’re partial to the manchego cheese on this plate, since it is reason ENOUGH to try the vertical. Toledo Artisanal Manchego Cheese Vertical The manchegos’ flavors may be strong, but they blend well with the other board features, especially the membrillo quince jam. It’s definitely a little pricey at $15, but this is HIGH. END. See our full Toledo review — including the Vertical — here! Oregon Chardonnay Fondue While the type of fondue offered at Territory Lounge in Wilderness Lodge changes frequently, we recommend getting it no matter what. Territory Lounge Oregon Chardonnay Fondue Although, we have to say that the Oregon Chardonnay Fondue for $14 has a special place in our hearts (and our stomachs). See our review here! Queso con Jalapeño Creamy white queso with chips is a staple with Mexican food. This queso blanco at La Cava del Tequila in Epcot for $10, though, kicks Mexican spice up a notch with the chunks of jalapeño generously mixed with the cheese. La Cava Queso Con Jalapeño It’s basic, but when it works, it works. Get ready to chip and dip, you guys! See why it’s the best queso ever here! Dubliner Irish Cheese & Bacon Dip Huge chunks of bacon are dispersed throughout the aged Irish cheese in this dip at Cookes of Dublin in Disney Springs. While the flavor is strong, it can be enjoyed by anybody. Dip fish, fries, and (our favorite) onion rings in Dubliner Dip for a filling and mouthwatering snack for $5.50. Cookes of Dublin Dubliner Irish Cheese & Bacon Dip (Note that this one was taken off the menu for a couple of years. We lobbied HARD for its return. Go get some so we can prove how necessary it is!) See why this is a DFB Must Have here! Corn Dog Nuggets Meal with Cheese Sauce Two words: PLASTIC. CHEESE. We LOVEEE our plastic cheese* here at DFB, so we can’t make an entire post about cheese without including it obviously!! Oh, and for $9.99 at Casey’s Corner in Magic Kingdom, the corn dog nuggets are pretty good, too. (; Casey’s Corner Corn Dog Nuggets With Cheese Sauce *Plastic Cheese isn’t really plastic. It’s a term coined by AJ Wolfe of Disney Food Blog to describe that fabulous liquid-y cheese you get at ball parks and bowling alleys. We’re not sure there’s any real food in there, but #stillworthit. Read all about Plastic Cheese and Corn Dog Nuggets at Casey’s here! Air Pirate’s Pretzels This seriously jumbo pretzel is topped with various seeds and served with spicy German mustard and beer-cheese fondue at Jock Lindsay’s Hangar Bar in Disney Springs for $11. Jumbo Air Pirate’s Pretzel While the pretzels are nice, you’ll want to ask for extra, EXTRA beer-cheese fondue (we already have). It’s the only bar-food dipping sauce you could ever need in your life. See more pics and a review here! Pepper Jack Pretzel We could go on and on about the Pepper Jack Pretzel. While it’s bumped around places like The Lunching Pad in the past, now it has settled over at Cheshire Café in Magic Kingdom for $6.59. (Note that it disappeared from menus for a year or two — we were so excited to see it return.) Cheshire Café Pepper Jack Pretzel Covered in tiny bits of toasted cheese on the outside, the inside of the pretzel is stuffed with LOTS of mildly spicy pepper jack cheese and jalapeño. It’s the perfect savory snack to munch on as you work your way through Magic Kingdom. Check out the Pepperjack Pretzel here! Beef Brisket Poutine Beef, cheese, gravy, OH MY!! This dish at the Refreshment Port in Epcot for $8.99 beats your mom’s home-cooked meal (just don’t tell her we said that!). Refreshment Port Beef Brisket Poutine You’ll want a fork to grab each ingredient as you dive into this poutine. And, guess what? You can grab the Beef Brisket Poutine at the Food & Wine Festival this year! See why this made our Best of the Fest list for the Food & Wine Festival last year! French Fries with Pulled Pork and Cheese Potatoes, pork, and cheese?? We’re back at the Flame Tree Barbecue in Animal Kingdom for their big portions and big taste. Literally, this is more lunch than it is snack for $6.99 (also one of our MUST-DOs when it comes to Disney Dining Plan snack credits), and we are digging it! Flame Tree Barbecue Pulled Pork and Cheese FriesThe plastic cheese on these fries melts wonderfully into the pulled pork. Drizzle some more BBQ sauce on there, friends!! You’ll be thanking us later. We can’t get enough of these — see why here! Watchos Or, you can say “waffle fries with queso blanco, bacon, and scallions,” but it just doesn’t have the same ring to it. Although the waffles fries are so, so good at Rix Sports Bar & Grill in Coronado Springs Resort, the queso blanco that fills the bottom of the basket is terrific. Rix Sports Bar & Grill Watchos You can heap these fries in cheese for and STILL have some leftover. Tbh, we could just eat the queso with a spoon by itself on these watchos $12. Read our full review here! Truffled Potato Chips with Point Reyes Blue Cheese Sauce Okay, so, truffle chips are great on their own (we could eat an entire bag by ourselves)… But, adding a whole POOL of melted blue cheese sauce on top of them? And I KNOW you’re eating a heavy steak and I KNOW it’s hot outside…but I don’t care. Get it. Read more about the Cheddar Cheese Soup here — and find out how you can make some for yourself with this recipe! Mardi Gras Fritters Sweet, spicy, and such a good appetizer at Boatwright’s Dining Hall in Port Orleans Riverside Resort!! The pimento cheese and layered pepper jelly add a kick to the crunch with each bite. As our server said at Boatwrights: “These are what mozzarella sticks want to be when they grow up.” Boatwright’s Mardi Gras Fritters Since the flavors are pretty unique for $9, we think you should step outside your comfort zone for these little guys. Read our review here! Fried Herb and Garlic Cheese 50’s Prime Time Café in Hollywood Studios prides itself on recreating meals straight from your mother’s kitchen. But this appetizer? We’re not so sure that anybody’s mama was making THIS. 50’s Prime Time Café Fried Herb and Garlic Cheese I look forward to this on every visit. As strange as it sounds, the garlic and raspberry are DELICIOUS together. This is nine bucks, but we recommend NOT SHARING. Read our review of the Fried Herb and Garlic Cheese here! Anything with cheese at Les Halles Boulangerie-Patisserie At the French bakery in Epcot, the fresh and aged cheese on their entrées and sides ranging from $3.95- $9.50 are seriously delicious. One of our favorites is the Brie Aux Pomme, or Brie and Apple Sandwich. Les Halles Brie Aux Pommes (Brie And Apple Sandwich) Inside the multigrain baguette bread, thinly sliced poached apples and soft brie are combined for an incredible sandwich. We highly recommend getting this one heated up so the cheese is melty and the apples are soft. Read our review of Brie Aux Pommes here! We’ve given you some of our personal favorite savory cheesie recommendations… But, we know that dessert is just as important (; So, without further ado, we’re starting off the sweet cheesies!! Sweet Cheesies Carrot Cake Cookie When it comes to cream cheese frosting goodness, you can’t beat the Carrot Cake Cookie at Trolley Car Cafe in Disney’s Hollywood Studios! Carrot Cake Cookie to Frosting ratio While this one suffered a revamp a while back, it’s still worth the buy and offers plenty of carrot cake goodness and cream cheese excellence! See our FULL Review of the NEW Carrot Cake Cookie HERE! Fried Wontons This twist on a classic item like fried won-tons at Yak & Yeti in Disney’s Animal Kingdom doesn’t disappoint. Paired with pineapples, sweet honey-vanilla sauce, and vanilla ice cream, the cream cheese is only slightly sweetened, which works PERFECTLY with the other flavors for $9.99. Yak & Yeti Fried Wontons Biting down into the crunch from the fried outside into the soft cream cheese on the inside makes your tastebuds happy dance. Check out our review here! Cream Cheese Warm Stuffed Pretzel Although the outside just looks like your regular run-of-the-mill pretzel from The Lunching Pad in Magic Kingdom, the inside is filled with sweet cream cheese that satisfies with Every. Single. Bite. We cannot recommend this snack enough, you guys. Seriously, just go grab one right now for $6.59!! The Lunching Pad Cream Cheese Pretzel (Note that Disney buys a lot of these filled pretzels from the same place that Wawa buys them — so you may also find them at the local gas station for SUPER CHEAP.) Click here for our first peek at this cheesy treat! Blueberry Cream Cheese Mousse While this dessert is obviously stunning, the surprising part of the mousse is that the highlight isn’t the blueberry — it’s actually the passion fruit curd on top! Satu’li Canteen Blueberry Cream Cheese Mousse The light, fruity flavors of this mousse mix extremely well with the delicious cream cheese, creating a tasty treat you’ll want to take the time for at Satu’li Canteen in Animal Kingdom’s Pandora for $5.29. Check out our first review of Satu’li Canteen — including the Blueberry Cream Cheese Mousse — here! And, with that, we’ve reached the end of our cheesy checklist! 14. After sailing with Disney Cruise Line more than two dozen times, I finally had the opportunity to cruise this summer on the Disney Wonder to Alaska. I’ll admit – Alaska is a bucket list destination for most, and while I was certainly excited to venture to the Last Frontier, I wasn’t sure if I would enjoy it as much as a tropical Disney cruise. Whether it’s my Floridian blood or just the fact that I’ve been to the Caribbean more times than I can count, I relate to Olaf on a deep level, because I, too, love all things warm. That, of course, was my perspective before sailing to Alaska. Now, let me tell you why I would trek across the country to do this cruise again in a heartbeat. Without further ado, here is a Disney cruise to Alaska from my point of view! 1. Port Adventures: Have you ever wanted to take a helicopter to a glacier, hop on a small boat to see whales up close or watch lumberjacks climb totem poles and skillfully throw axes? If not, these need to be on your bucket list! Flying over mountaintops painted with snow and landing on Meade Glacier was one experience I can truly say I will never forget. The port cities surpassed my expectations, and the Port Adventures I experienced throughout the week brought them to life in ways I never imagined. 2. Dawes Glacier and Endicott Arm: On the second full sea day of our cruise, we sailed through Endicott Arm on our way to Dawes Glacier. Crew members were walking around with hot chocolate and my favorite Disney characters were greeting guests in their Alaskan attire. To see Dawes Glacier up close was nothing short of awe-inspiring. The views were out of this world as we navigated Endicott Arm, and it was on this day that I got caught up in the natural beauty of Alaska and officially fell in love. 3. Packing: It’s good to come prepared for all types of weather and adventures when you cruise to Alaska. Here’s a tip for this sailing: you spend a LOT of time outside, whether on Port Adventures or relaxing on sea days, so be sure to have plenty of options, from hiking boots and rain gear to jackets that range from light to heavy. Layers are essential – and so is your passport! Since this sailing leaves out of Vancouver, it is possibly the most important item you need to bring with you. 4. Onboard Relaxation and Fun: With so much to see and do in Alaska, it’s nice to spend time on board relaxing and enjoying world-class Disney entertainment during days at sea and in the evenings. “Toy Story 4” debuted in theaters while on my cruise, and we got to see the premiere at sea the very same day. I also spent quite a bit of time in the adults-only Cove Café, and I went to go to Palo for both brunch and dinner, which offered spectacular views while I happily ate my chocolate soufflé. There truly is something for everyone on the Disney Wonder, and my family was entertained at all times! 5. Tiana’s Place: Blame it on the beignets. My new favorite restaurant in the entire world (sorry, Palo) just may be Tiana’s Place! This lively restaurant, complete with jazz band, New Orleans-inspired motif and some of my favorite southern-style cuisine, was the highlight of my dining experience on the Disney Wonder. My dining rotation called on this venue three times throughout the seven-night sailing, and while only one night featured the “show” during dinner, all three were festive with live music, which made for an enhanced dining experience. 6. “Frozen, A Musical Spectacular”: For the first time in forever (actually, literally for the first time ever), I was able to see “Frozen, A Musical Spectacular.” All of the Broadway-style shows on the ship are well done and rival those you will see on the Great White Way, but this one is now my favorite Walt Disney Theatre production. Again, my vast love of Olaf may have something to do with it, but this show was a crowd pleaser for everyone in my family. Are you planning a Disney cruise to Alaska this summer or next? If so, leave me a comment with your best tip or favorite moment from traveling the Inside Passage. View the full article

  16. Okay, y’all. We have a freakin’ killer appetizer that you NEED to know about!! Wolfgang Puck Bar & Grill We’re talkin’ about the Truffled Potato Chips from Wolfgang Puck Bar & Grill in Disney Springs. Now, these aren’t new, but for some reason, they’ve never really received the recognition they so desperately deserve! Wolfgang Puck Bar & Grill in Disney Springs has introduced a new concept to “modernize the traditional bar and grill” while featuring many of Puck’s famous dishes. And one of our favorites that they have introduced is the Truffled Potato Chips. Wolfgang Puck Bar and Grill Truffled Potato Chips You will find these on the “to share for the table” portion of the menu, as they are an appetizer. The Truffled Potato Chips are covered, yes covered, in the most delicious Point Reyes blue cheese sauce. Really, they’re kind of like nachos, but with potato chips and blue cheese! We really enjoy the fact that there is melted blue cheese sauce and bits of blue cheese sprinkled on top because it adds a great bit of texture. Wolfgang Puck Bar and Grill Chips and Blue Cheese Sauce The chips don’t tend to get soggy since they are pretty thick, which is nice because you won’t have to rush to eat them! (Though this likely won’t be a concern anyway since they’re so freaking good!) You can find this must-try appetizer at Wolfgang Puck Bar & Grill for $12. We’d say they’re perfect to share…but honestly, they’re so good that you may not want to share them! Try these chips out and let us know what you think! 18. It’s mid-August, and you know what that means: the Epcot International Food & Wine Festival is just around the corner (can you smell it?!). And we. are. ready to dig into some great eats and tip back some flavorful drinks. Epcot’s International Food and Wine Festival But with the Festival spanning 87 days and featuring 30+ food booths, there are some things you MUST do before you hit the World Showcase. 1. Review booths, menus, and the DFB exclusive map! With a Festival this big, you benefit from a little advance planning. That starts with reviewing food booths and scouring menus and familiarizing yourself with the DFB-exclusive Festival map! Epcot Food and Wine Festival Map — Disney Food Blog Edition / CLICK TO ENLARGE OR PRINT Once you’ve pored over all those details (like which food items you’ve gotta try and where to find them!), you can start to formulate a plan to get all that food in your belly! See ALL the FULL BOOTH MENUS and Lots of Food Photos by Clicking HERE! 2. Set a budget — and be realistic about how much you can and want to spend. As soon as the Festival food booth menus go up when the festival begins, DFB updates our food booth menu pages with prices, and you’ll want to be sure you take time to calculate just how much your list of eats and drinks will realistically cost. If it’s more than you want to spend or more than you had budgeted, take some time to decide if you’re willing to break the bank, or if you need to cut back. Trio of Artisan Cheese And keep in mind: last year, Festival prices actually increased during the Festival, throwing a lot of guests for a monetary loop. Stick with DFB (and sign up for our Newsletter!!) so you’ll know if things change between opening weekend and your visit. 3. Schedule your FP and ADRs thoughtfully. Attending the Epcot International Food & Wine Festival takes some thoughtful planning, not the least of which is how to plan your time around the Festival. For example, if you know you want to hit the food booths right as they open at 11AM (you can avoid some crowds this way!), don’t make a Soarin’ FastPass+ for 10:45. Soarin’ Around the World at Epcot Likewise, think about when to schedule your Advance Dining Reservations. If you know you’re going to snack around the World Showcase from late-morning ’til night, don’t schedule a table service breakfast that’ll take up valuable stomach space. We recommend making ADRs on days when you’re not planning to eat at the Festival, or enjoy a big table service breakfast on a day when you won’t be hitting Food & Wine Festival until the evening. 4. 23. Our Disney Doodles series allows our team of artists to imagine what a Disney character would do first if he or she could visit a Disney park or resort. Today, artist Ashley Taylor imagines what Trusty, Lady’s loyal neighbor in the 1955 film “Lady and The Tramp” would do if he could visit Disney’s Fort Wilderness Resort & Campground. According to her, he’d likely seek out a gathering spot where he could do some storytelling of his own, which just might make Chip ‘n’ Dale’s Campfire Singalong the perfect choice. “Trusty always has stories of his Grandpappy, Old Reliable,” Ashley said. “It’s easy to imagine him sharing stories with his friends at the campfire at Disney’s Fort Wilderness Resort & Campground.” View the full article
