Summer break has come to an end and it’s time for reading, writing, problem-solving and Disney. Yes, Walt Disney World Resort, and the Disneyland Resort, just happen to be one of the best field trip destinations for students! In 1979, Walt Disney World Resort began offering educational programs to Guests, which covered four subjects. Fast forward to 2019 and now Disney Youth Programs provide a variety of educational opportunities through its Disney Youth Education Series classes. 27 courses are available at Walt Disney World Resort, and 12 at Disneyland Resort. “Being a former teacher, one of my favorite Walt Disney quotes is ‘We have always tried to be guided by the basic idea that, in discovery of knowledge, there is great entertainment – as, conversely, in all good entertainment there is always some grain of wisdom, humanity, or enlightenment to be gained,’” explains Disney Parks Moms Panelist, Eean. “To me, this sums up Walt’s vision when he created Disneyland Resort, which was conceived out of a desire for a safe place where parents and children could both have fun and learn at the same time.” Offered year-round, seven days a week, these Disney Youth Program courses meet most National Core Standards, and cover topics such as leadership, arts & humanities, applied sciences, and environmental studies. Classes are offered for elementary aged students through college and are the perfect choice for public and private schools as well as homeschooled students, charter schools, scouts and other youth groups. “As we all know, kids learn best by doing, and theories introduced in the classroom come to life when experienced in authentic situations,” Eean explains. “What educator wouldn’t want to teach potential and kinetic energy using Space Mountain as their inspiration? And this is exactly what happened in the Properties of Motion Physics Lab. In the Lab, students learn to define speed, velocity, and acceleration, demonstrate gravitational effects, and discuss Newton’s first law of motion after riding Space Mountain … with the lights on and then with the lights off! Students even work in teams to create a coaster using a marble as the ride vehicles and even crash test dummies. In the Energy and Waves Physics Lab, students learn about the properties of light. Armed with new knowledge, participants venture to the Haunted Mansion. Upon the conclusion of the ride, students make observations and are led to witness some amazing backstage magic. Eean, who was able to be a part of this session, called it best day of school ever! Another component of Disney Youth Programs is the Disney Performing Arts Workshops. Parents of children with theater backgrounds will definitely want to check this program out. Here students participate in a 90-minute triple-threat workshop of singing, dancing, and acting of one of Disney’s most beloved stage shows, Mary Poppins. Attendees learn blocking, choreography, and characterization. “There’s a lot of knowledge packed in these three-hour classes, but the fantastic thing about the Disney Youth Programs is that the learning is meaningful and engaging, and it all happens in the most magical classroom in the ‘World,’” Eean exclaims! “And what could be better than that!” To learn more about Disney Youth Programs, or for general Disney vacation planning questions, visit DisneyParksMomsPanel.com for an answer from one of our panelists. Panelists receive compensation for their participation on the Disney Parks Moms Panel. View the full article

In case you haven’t visited any social media channel lately, the NEW Disney color trend — Arendelle Aqua — has officially launched in Disney World and Disneyland. Arendelle Aqua Minnie Ears While we’ve enjoyed checking out all the new merchandise (like the GORGEOUS new Minnie Ears), we also tried EVERY. SINGLE. Arendelle Aqua treat we could find! Join us on a Frozen-themed journey through every Arendelle Aqua cupcake, slush, and treat we’ve found in Disney World and Disneyland. And head up guys! There are a few treats that aren’t available just yet, so we’ll tell you about those as well. Let’s get started! Available Now in Epcot Sunshine Seasons You’ll find several Frozen-themed treats in Epcot, starting with the Arendelle Aqua Pearl Cupcake and Arendelle Aqua Frozen Lemonade from Sunshine Seasons. Arendelle Aqua Pearl Cupcake The Arendelle Aqua Pearl Cupcake is a bit similar in look and in taste to the popular Rose Gold Cupcake and consists of yellow cake, Nutella filling, a mountain of vanilla buttercream, and a fondant bow and ears. Arendelle Aqua Pearl Cupcake While we enjoyed the cake, filling, and frosting (though it certainly was VERY sweet), we weren’t fans of the fondant bow and ears (but who cares when they look so cute??). You can grab this cupcake for $5.49 or a Disney Dining Plan snack credit! Read our full review of the Arendelle Aqua Pearl Cupcake here! You’ll also find the Arendelle Aqua Frozen Lemonade at Sunshine Seasons. It’s so pretty, don’t you think? Arendelle Aqua Frozen Lemonade We actually chose to add Bacardi Raspberry Rum to our lemonade, which features Monin Cotton Candy Syrup. This slush was super refreshing, tart, and super photogenic to boot! If you decide to try it out, be sure to mix it up before you drink it so the flavors blend properly otherwise you might get a sip full of sugary sweet syrup like we did! Arendelle Aqua Frozen Lemonade While you can get the non-alcoholic Arendelle Aqua Frozen Lemonade for $6.49 (or a Disney Dining Plan snack credit), our boozy version was $11.25. Read our full review of boozy Arendelle Aqua Frozen Lemonade here! Norway Beer Cart At the Norway Beer Cart, you can try the Frozen Arendelle Aqua Lemonade for $5.25. The frozen lemonade is mixed with passion fruit and pineapple (some of our favorite fruity flavors). Frozen Arendelle Aqua Lemonade Even if you don’t like passion fruit normally, this drink is AH-MAZING! The tart lemonade balances the passion fruit and pineapple flavors, blending them all together in a slightly sweet, but definitely mouth-puckering taste. If you like tart frozen drinks, you’ll want to take a sip of the Frozen Arendelle Aqua Lemonade! Plus — LOOK at the gah-ooooorgeous color!! Frozen Arendelle Aqua Lemonade Check out our full review of the Frozen Arendelle Aqua Lemonade here! Yorkshire County Fish Shop In the UK Pavilion, we discovered the adorable (and yummy!) Arendelle Aqua Victoria Sponge Cake at Yorkshire County Fish Shop. This is a classic sponge cake with a bit of Arendelle Aqua-colored (though the color is a bit inconsistent, no?) icing. We LOVED the light and airy texture of the cake. Arendelle Aqua Sponge Cake The icing was a little too sweet for us, but luckily there wasn’t much of it. We did, however, thoroughly enjoy the strawberry jam filling! Arendelle Aqua Victoria Sponge Cake Check out our full review of the Arendelle Aqua Victoria Sponge Cake here! Block & Hans We hope you like Frozen-themed slushes as much as we do because the American Adventure Pavilion’s Block & Hans is offering a DIFFERENT Arendelle Aqua Lemonade! This boozy beverage combines frozen lemonade with Monin Cotton Candy and Ole Smoky Blackberry Moonshine. Arendelle Aqua Lemonade The cotton candy flavor was REALLY overpowered by the moonshine, but in a good way! You could still taste a hint of the cotton candy, but it was very light — basically an after note. Arendelle Aqua Lemonade Overall, we enjoyed this simple and refreshing drink. According to Cast Members, a non-alcoholic version should become available soon, so keep an eye out for it! Read our full review of the Arendelle Aqua Lemonade here! Available Now in Magic Kingdom Storybook Treats Let’s head on over to Magic Kingdom, where you can find the positively adorable Arendelle Aqua Cone at Storybook treats. The grayish-blue cone is filled with cotton candy soft-serve topped with cotton candy sugar sprinkles and Mickey-shaped sugar cubes. Arendelle Aqua Cone We aren’t super wild about cotton candy, but we still enjoyed this cone and would recommend it as a fun, simple treat! You can try it for $5.99 or a Disney Dining Plan snack credit. Arendelle Aqua Cone Heads up, those sugar cubes are cute but do NOT like to stick to the ice cream in that Florida heat! Read our full review of the Arendelle Aqua Cone here! Available Now in Disney Springs Amorette’s Patisserie In Disney Springs, Amorette’s Patisserie is offering what they call the Arendelle Aqua drink, which is made with Nino Franco Rustico Prosecco, Bols Blue Curaçao, and Monin Cotton Candy. And it’s topped with shimmery white chocolate Minnie ears. Arendelle Aqua Drink at Amorette’s The drink just tasted like Prosecco! Sadly, we really didn’t taste any citrus flavor from the blue curaçao or any cotton candy flavor from the Monin Cotton Candy. And just a heads up — the shimmery ears are a little bit messy with all the shimmery dust coating them! You can try this new drink for $19. Arendelle Aqua Drink at Amorette’s Learn more about Amorette’s new Arendelle Aqua drink here! The Daily Poutine At The Daily Poutine, you’ll find the truly beautiful Arendelle Aqua Arctic Punch for $13. This Frozen-themed concoction combines Malibu Coconut Rum, Bols Peach Schnapps, Bols Blue Curacao, and fruit juices for $13. Arendelle Aqua Arctic Punch First of all, we must say that this drink is the color we were expecting when we first heard about Arendelle Aqua. And, we enjoyed its tropical, fruity flavors! Arendelle Aqua Arctic Punch Plus — you guys!!! — it’s SPARKLES! We’re suckers for shining, shimmering (whoops, wrong movie!) drinks and this is just as prettyto look at as it is tasty to drink. Check out our full review of Arendelle Aqua Arctic Punch here! Available Now in Disneyland Jolly Holiday Bakery While we’ve found most of these treats in Disney World, we also found a few in Disneyland as well! We stumbled upon the Arendelle Aqua Macaron at Jolly Holiday Bakery! Arendelle Aqua Macaron The Arendelle Aqua Macaron has a buttercream, blueberry, and cream filling! While we haven’t been too fond of some of the color trend macarons in the past, we loved the texture of the creme of the Arendelle Aqua version. It was SO smooth and very yummy. Arendelle Aqua Macaron You can get this at Jolly Holiday for $5.99 before an Annual Passholder discount. Read our full review of the Arendelle Aqua Macaron here! Market House At Disneyland’s Market House, you can grab the Arendelle Aqua Linzer Cookie, which is a Mickey-shaped cookie with mixed berry jam and white chocolate drizzle. Arendelle Aqua Linzer Cookie While we enjoyed the light berry flavors of this treat, the cookie was extremely fragile and unfortunately started to fall apart as soon as we left the store. Overall, though, the cookie is adorable and yummy! You can purchase it for $5.99 before an Annual Passholder discount. Arendelle Aqua Linzer Cookie Again with the sparkle!!! We still can’t get over how pretty the jammy center of this cookie was. It looks like Elsa was whipping up a big batch of cookies up on the North Mountain in her Ice Palace!!!! Learn more about the Arendelle Aqua Linzer Cookie in our full review here! Churro Cart Near Sleeping Beauty Castle Near Sleeping Beauty Castle, we stumbled upon the Arendelle Aqua Churro! Arendelle Aqua Churro The Arendelle Aqua Churro is a plain churro coated in blue sugar. It had a hint of cotton candy flavor that we enjoyed (noticing the cotton candy trend here??). Our churro was fresh and the sugar didn’t stain our hands and teeth like many of the Avengers Infinity Stone Churros have in the past. So, overall we were pleasantly surprised! Arendelle Aqua Churro We found the Arendelle Aqua Churro at the churro cart near Sleeping Beauty Castle for $5.25. Read our full review of the Arendelle Aqua Churro here! Trolley Treats If you’re in the mood for a smaller treat, head over to Trolley Treats for the Arendelle Aqua Cake Pop! Arendelle Aqua Cake Pop The vanilla cake is covered in white chocolate with a hint of blueberry… And it was delicious! The moist cake was soft with every bite, and the white chocolate added a lovely little crunch. While the blueberry flavor was faint, it added a twist that fit the aqua blue color perfectly! Arendelle Aqua Cake Pop You can get the Arendelle Aqua Cake Pop for $4.99 before an Annual Passholder discount! Check out our full review of the Arendelle Aqua Cake Pop here! Available Now at Walt Disney World Resorts World Premiere Food Court If you want to add some aqua to your breakfast, head on over to Disney’s All-Star Movies Resort to pick up the new Arendelle Aqua Sugar Drop Donut. This donut is a not-too-sweet cake donut dipped in an aqua fondant glaze. It’s topped with blue and white sprinkles and sugar crystals. Arendelle Aqua Sugar Drop Donuts The cake donuts were moist, but not too heavy — just like we like ’em! However, the icing was a bit strange on these donuts. We couldn’t figure out what the flavor of the icing was! There wasn’t much of a taste at all, TBH. Maybe it was vanilla? We aren’t really sure!! But, the sprinkles on top of the icing did add a nice crunch to each bite of the donut. Arendelle Aqua Sugar Drop Donut You can grab a pack of two donuts for $3.99 at World Premiere Food Court. Read our full review of the Arendelle Aqua Sugar Drop Donuts here! Aqua Pearl Cupcake Disney’s Pop Century Resort is home to the Aqua Pearl Cupcake, which consists of chocolate cake, blue cotton candy marshmallow filling, cotton candy buttercream frosting, milk chocolate ears, crispy pearls, sugar, and glitter. Aqua Pearl Cupcake The cotton candy buttercream was VERY sweet, but an extremely fun flavor on top of the chocolate! Also, the sprinkles, candy pearls, and chocolate ears tied it all together with just a bit of crunch! Aqua Pearl Cupcake Filling You can get the Arendelle Aqua Pearl Cupcake for $5.49 or Disney Dining Plan snack credit at Everything POP Food Court. Learn more about the Aqua Pearl Cupcake here! Centertown Market The Arendelle Aqua Sparkle Cupcake has made its glittery debut at the Caribbean Beach Resort! This is a chocolate cupcake with chocolate salted caramel mousse filling. It’s topped with white and aqua-colored vanilla buttercream, blue crispy pearls, and shimmery milk chocolate ears. Arendelle Aqua Sparkle Cupcake After taking one bite of this dessert, we have to say that the Arendelle Aqua Sparkle Cupcake is the “Best of the Arendelle Fest” right now! The chocolate cake was moist without being too heavy. The chocolate salted caramel mousse was beautifully salty and sweet, complementing the cake. The buttercream on top added a lighter (but still just as delicious) flavor to the cupcake, and the pearls finished the treat with a little crunch! Arendelle Aqua Sparkle Cupcake We grabbed this cupcake for $5.99 (it’s snack credit-eligible as well) at Caribbean Beach Resort’s Centertown Market, but you should also be able to find it at Port Orleans Resort’s Sassagoula Floatworks & Food Factory and Riverside Mill Food Court. Read our full review of the Arendelle Aqua Sparkle Cupcake here! Coming Soon to Walt Disney World While we’ve already tried SO MANY aqua treats, even MORE are on their way to Disney World. Arendelle Aqua Cake You’ll want to head over to Disney’s Contemporary Resort to try the Arendelle Aqua Cake! Arendelle Aqua Cake ©Disney This treat is a super-cute vanilla cake filled with blueberry jam. Fault line styled cakes are all the rage right now and it looks like Disney is jumping on the trend! According to a Cast Member, you’ll be able to grab it at Contempo Cafe starting October 4th! Ice Elixer At Disney’s Polynesian Village Resort, you’ll find the Ice Elixer drink, which features gin, blue curaçao, lemon, and pineapple. This sounds like it will be the not-too-sweet Arendelle drink we’ve been looking for! We’re not sure when this drink will come available, but it will be offered at the Oasis and Barefoot Pool Bars! Lemon Blueberry Cheesecake The Poly will also be home to the Lemon Blueberry Cheesecake, which should be available soon at Kona Island. Lemon Blueberry Cheesecake ©Disney It consists of lemon blueberry cheesecake, blueberry compote, graham cracker crust, a chocolate shell decoration, and orchids. Isn’t it adorable?? It gives us more Ariel than Elsa vibes in a good way!! Arendelle Aqua Cotton Candy Eclair Next door at the Grand Floridian Resort, you can try the Arendelle Aqua Cotton Candy Eclair. Arendelle Aqua Cotton Candy Eclair ©Disney The eclair, which will be offered by Gasparilla Island Grill, is filled with cotton candy mousse and raspberry curd. Are you on board with all the cotton candy treats? Worth Melting For We want to give this drink a warm hug just due to its wonderful name! In today’s Disney Doodle, artist Ashley Taylor imagines what Orville and Wilbur from the 1977 film “The Rescuers” and the 1990 follow-up “The Rescuers Down Under” would do if they had the opportunity to explore Magic Kingdom Park. In both films, this flying duo assists the Rescue Aid Society in their efforts by providing transportation. It’s only natural that these brothers would seek out some air time of their own at the park. “Orville and Wilbur are always willing to fly whenever Bernard and Bianca need their help,” Ashley said. “So I wanted Orville and Wilbur to take a much needed day off and let Dumbo fly them around.” View the full article

Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge finally opened the gates to Batuu in Disney World this past month! Star Wars Rise of the Resistance And, while Millennium Falcon: Smugglers Run has allowed guests to pilot the fastest hunk of junk in the galaxy, we can’t help but wonder… What is the newest attraction coming to Galaxy’s Edge, the Rise of the Resistance, going to be like? Will the Force be with it, or will it give in to the dark side of Disney misses? With Galaxy’s Edge open in Disney parks on both coasts, fans have been eagerly waiting for the arrival of Rise of the Resistance to join its Smugglers Run counterpart. Concept Art for Star Wars: Rise of the Resistance ©Disney There have been numerous rumors about the attraction regarding its possible 20+ minute ride time, 4+ ride systems, over 300 animatronic figures, and more. But, Disney has only released a limited amount of information and a few concept photos. Star Wars: Rise of the Resistance ©Disney Back in April at the Star Wars Celebration, we got our first look at the ride vehicle led by an Astromech Droid. (What a cutie!!) It utilizes stadium style seating with two rows containing four seats each with seat belts. While we were informed that this would be a part of the trackless ride system, we had to wait to find out what was next for the attraction. Ride Vehicle for Star Wars: Rise of the Resistance However, at the D23 Expo in August, audience members were given a lil sneak peek at a new trailer for the ride. Some light was shed on the ride’s plot, which made us SUPER HYPED for how awesome this ride could turn out to be!! Vi Moradi, a Resistance spy, informs rebel guests at the beginning of the trailer that “This outpost is endangered for the First Order. The Resistance needs your help… Now, more than ever. Thank you for joining the cause, and may the Force be with us.” Vi Moradi in Rise of the Resistance Concept Art You catch glimpses of ride scenes where you encounter Storm Troopers, that trackless car driving you through a Star Destroyer, Kylo Ren‘s lightsaber cutting through the ceiling above your vehicle, and Storm Troopers and AT-AT Walkers shooting at you during your apparent escape. AT-AT Walkers After that trailer, we were even more excited to be able to go INSIDE the Rise of the Resistance during a media event! We gave you our first look at the beginning and conclusion of the ride, so beware of spoilers ahead if you want to be surprised! Star Wars: Rise of the Resistance Rise of the Resistance is located in a wooded area near the Black Spire Outpost where rebels are hiding out in a military outpost to stay under the radar from the First Order. After going through the queue with gun turrets, rock tunnels, and locker rooms filled with flight suits, you’ll experience a pre-show that features Rey, BB-8, and other Star Wars characters as they ask for your help to battle the First Order. Entrance to Rise of the Resistance Immediately afterward, guests will walk through the second part of the ride led by Poe Dameron to his ship. You’ll pass by a giant X-Wing to board a transport ship to leave Batuu that shakes during its flight piloted by Nien Nunb. The ship is blue and gray inside with blue lighting. It almost reminds us of Star Tours, but guests will be standing versus seated. But, just like any Star Wars-related attraction, your plans are thwarted as the First Order intercepts your ship (oh no!). ©Disney They pull you inside their ship and you’re forced into…nothing short of awe-inspiring. As soon as the door opens, ominous Dark Side music plays as you’re ushered onto the Star Destroyer to be greeted by an entire army of over 50 Storm Troopers and guards (both audioanimatronic and human!), including General Hux and Kylo Ren according to Imagineers. Rise of the Resistance Concept Art This room is MASSIVE. A huge screen looks out into space with a life-size TIE Fighter fastened to the wall. The First Order officers will then separate guests into small groups and escort them into detention cells where Kylo Ren will interrogate them. TIE Fighter at Star Wars Galaxy’s Edge Of course, the Resistance swoops in, though, to help guests escape (yay!!). Navigation droids will try to guide you out of the Star Destroyer, but they’ll keep taking wrong turns. Obviously, this will get you into more trouble as you try to dodge AT-ATs, take an elevator 40 feet into the air, wind through hallways, and finally make it to escape pods. INSIDE Star Wars Rise of the Resistance! This will be the thrilling conclusion to Rise of the Resistance (a la Star Wars style) as the escape pod is positioned on a jettison that drops guests in one big drop, like the Tower of Terror! As you exit the experience, you’ll be hailed as a rebel hero (sounds like quite the title to put on your resumé)! Rise of the Resistance Concept Art Um, how AH-MAZING does that sound?! And, luckily, the Rise of the Resistance opening is sooner than you’d think! The new attraction opens in Disney World on December 5th of this year and in Disneyland on January 17th of next year. Much excite!!! Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge in Disney World While we can’t give our full review until we’ve taken a ride on the completed attraction, we can say that we are seriously anticipating the opening. Get Ready to Battle Kylo Ren! Are you ready to join the Resistance and face the First Order? (We know we are!!) Will you be visiting Galaxy’s Edge to ride Rise of the Resistance when it opens? Arendelle Aqua Pearl Cupcake The chocolate cupcake has cotton candy marshmallow filling and is topped with cotton candy buttercream, sprinkles, candy pearls, and milk chocolate ears. Arendelle Aqua Pearl Cupcake We are seriously loving these Arendelle Aqua cupcakes!! The chocolate cake on the Arendelle Aqua Pearl Cupcake was rich and moist (MMMMmmm…chocolate!) and the cotton candy marshmallow filling was a delicious addition to every bite. While we’ve tried the Sugar Drop Donuts, the Frozen Arendelle Aqua Lemonade, and the Arendelle Aqua Cone, we’re letting it go and tasting another aqua dessert! The Arendelle Aqua Sparkle Cupcake has made its glittery debut at the Caribbean Beach Resort! Arendelle Aqua Sparkle Cupcake The chocolate cupcake is filled with chocolate salted caramel mousse and topped with aqua and white buttercream swirls, blue glitter, sparkly blue white chocolate ears, and crispy blue pearls around the rim. Arendelle Aqua Sparkle Cupcake After taking one bite of this dessert, we have to say that the Arendelle Aqua Sparkle Cupcake is the “Best of the Arendelle Fest” right now!! Arendelle Aqua Sparkle Cupcake The chocolate cake was moist without being too heavy. The chocolate salted caramel mousse was beautifully salty and sweet, complementing the cake. The buttercream on top added a lighter (but still just as delicious) flavor to the cupcake, and the pearls finished the treat with a little crunch! Arendelle Aqua Sparkle Cupcake We also LOOOVED the sparkly decorations on the dessert! Elsa would totally approve. And, this time, we’re popping over to one of the resorts in Disney World to snack on this aqua dessert. At the World Premiere Food Court in the All-Star Movies Resort, we spotted the Arendelle Aqua Sugar Drop Donuts! Arendelle Aqua Sugar Drop Donuts The cake donuts are covered in aqua icing and an array of blue and white sprinkles. (Totally adorable!!) Arendelle Aqua Sugar Drop Donuts The cake donuts were moist, but not too heavy — just like we like ’em! Arendelle Aqua Sugar Drop Donut You can grab a pack of two of the Arendelle Aqua Sugar Drop Donuts for $3.99. Arendelle Aqua Sugar Drop Donuts These donuts are a GREAT value since you get 2 for under 4 dollars, but you might be better off getting another one of the Arendelle Aqua treats if you’re looking for more of a wow factor, though (like the Arendelle Aqua Pearl Cupcake and the Arendelle Aqua Victoria Spongecake!). In case you haven’t heard, there are a LOT of changes coming to both Walt Disney World and Disneyland Resort. Transformation of Epcot ©Disney While many changes come in the form of new attractions (like the highly-anticipated TRON Lightcycle Run and Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind), there are also a whole bunch of NEW restaurants coming soon, like Space 220 and Topolino’s Terrace, to the parks and resorts! Let’s explore all the new and soon to be new options you need to know about. Today, we’re going to explore ALL the restaurants that have opened this year and ALL the restaurants coming soon to Walt Disney World and Disneyland Resort. Let’s get started! Recently Opened in Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge Oga’s Cantina Let’s kick things off in Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge, which is now open in both Disneyland and Hollywood Studios. The only location offering Advanced Dining Reservations at the moment is Oga’s Cantina. Oga’s Cantina in Disneyland Oga’s is famous for its out-of-this-world concoctions, like the literally lip-tingling Fuzzy Tauntaun and shimmery Bespin Fizz. You’ll also find a couple small snacks on the menu. One important thing to note about Oga’s is that all the drinks are pre-mixed and many are definitely on the sweeter side! Bespin Fizz Read our full review of Oga’s Cantina here! While both Oga’s Cantina locations (Disney World and Disneyland) are similar, we did notice a few differences when we visited the Cantina in Disney World. We most recently tried Disney World’s updated version of Batuu Bits, which you can learn more about here! And don’t forget Disney World’s crazy new charcuterie plate! You can check that out here! Batuu Bits in Hollywood Studios Both locations are currently accepting Advance Dining Reservations — you can make a reservation in Disneyland 14 days in advance and you can make one in Disney World 180 days in advance. Docking Bay 7 Food & Cargo The other “headlining” dining location in Galaxy’s Edge is Docking Bay 7 Food and Cargo. Docking Bay 7 Food and Cargo This quick-service spot serves a variety of eclectic eats, from a Mustafarian Lava Roll in the morning to a Braised Shaak Roast, Fried Endorian Tip-Yip, and Felucian Garden Spread in the afternoon and evening. Mustafarian Lava Roll We just shared a recipe from the upcoming Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge Cookbook for the Fried Endorian Tip-Yip! Learn how to make it at home HERE! Fired Endorian Tip-Yip Check out our full review of Docking Bay 7 Food and Cargo here! While Docking Bay 7’s food options are similar in Hollywood Studios and Disneyland, the beverage offerings are a bit different. Two beverages currently listed on Disneyland’s menu are not on the menu in Hollywood Studios — Phattro and Batuubucha Tea. Phattro in Disneyland Also, the Sour Sarlacc was listed on Hollywood Studios’ menu when we were there, but it is not currently listed on Disneyland’s menu. Since Disneyland’s Docking Bay 7 does not serve alcoholic beverages, you’ll only find the Gold Squadron Lager Beer and Takodana Quencher in Hollywood Studios. Takodana Quencher Read our review of the Takodana Quencher here! Mobile Ordering is currently available at Disneyland’s Docking Bay 7 and was JUST added to Disney World’s Mobile Order system as well. Ronto Roasters Galaxy’s Edge is also home to Ronto Roasters, which offers Ronto Wraps, beverages, and a few other small food items. Ronto Roasters The Ronto Wrap (there are different versions for breakfast and lunch/dinner) is hands-down one of our favorite menu items in Galaxy’s Edge. We recommend you grab this for a quick breakfast or lunch on Batuu! Read our full review of Ronto Roasters here! Ronto Wrap in Disney World The Ronto Roasters menus in Hollywood Studios and Disneyland are primarily the same, aside from a few beverage-related differences. In Disneyland, you’ll be able to get Meiloorun Juice, while in Hollywood Studios, you can try the alcoholic Coruscant Cooler and Trandoshan Ale. Coruscant Cooler in Disney World Check out our Coruscant Cooler review here! The Milk Stand If you’ve always wanted to try that memorable blue or green milk from the Star Wars films, you can do so at The Milk Stand! Galaxy’s Edge Milk Stand In both Disney World and Disneyland, you can find traditional (dairy-free!) blue and green milk, but in Disney World, you can also grab BOOZY blue and green milk coolers. (Heads up to the parents out there — traditional milk comes in circular cups, while the alcoholic coolers are served in square cups.) Traditional Green Milk and Blue Milk The Blue Milk Cooler features Bacardi rum. And the Green Milk Cooler adds a bit of Corazon Blanco Tequila to the standard milk. Boozy Green and Blue Milk Coolers Read our review of boozy green and blue milk here! We’ve gotta be honest, we don’t love the taste of ANY of these drinks, but we do enjoy them more in a layered hack! Milk Hack! Even though we’d rather stop by Oga’s for a sweet drink, we don’t blame you if you want to grab one of these milks for the ‘gram photo op. Kat Saka’s Kettle The last dining location you’ll find in Galaxy’s Edge is Kat Saka’s Kettle. Kat Saka’s Kettle This is a small spot that serves Outpost Popcorn Mix and offers thermal detonator Coke and water bottles. (In case you missed it, the TSA ban on these special bottles has been reversed!) Outpost Popcorn Mix The popcorn mix features both sweet and savory flavored popcorn. The sweet purple popcorn has a definite “fruity” quality to it that’s balanced out by the savory red chili flavor. Thermal Detonator Coke Bottles Learn more about Kat Saka’s Kettle here! Recently Opened in Disney’s Hollywood Studios Oasis Canteen Another recent addition to Disney’s Hollywood Studios is the new Oasis Canteen kiosk. Oasis Canteen This spot is located near the Indiana Jones Epic Stunt Spectacular! show, and it features a full bar as well as a selection of drinks unique to the location. Oasis Canteen Drink Menu In addition to assorted beers, the new location offers a trio of specialty cocktails — The Lost Jewel, Snake Alley, and Long Lost Island. These drinks are obviously VERY brightly colored and are super sugary as well. They are pretty photogenic though! Oasis Canteen Drinks Read our first look and review of the new Oasis Canteen here! Recently Opened in Epcot Takumi-Tei In July of this year, Epcot’s newest restaurant — Takumi-Tei — opened in the Japan Pavilion. This signature restaurant is only open in the evening and requires two table service credits if you’re on the Disney Dining Plan. Takumi-Tei Washi Paper Room This menu includes Appetizers, Main Courses, Sashimi, Maki Sushi, Nigiri, and Desserts. In addition to the main menu, there is also an Omakase Tasting Menu ($130 per person) and an optional beverage pairing ($75 per person). One of our favorite things we tried during our first visit was the Nikomi Wagyu. Nikomi Wagyu (Bone Marrow) at Takumi-Tei Everything on the menu is like a tiny work of art. We were so impressed with the care and attention to detail we saw in every step of our experience here. Mozaiku Sushi Takumi-Tei truly provides a tranquil atmosphere (we surely didn’t feel like we were in the middle of a crowded theme park), wonderful service, and unique cuisine. But, it’s important to note that it can be a loooooong and intricate…and expensive…experience, so plan to spend a couple of hours if you choose to dine here. Read our full review of Takumi-Tei here! Recently Opened in Disney Springs Sunshine Churros Several locations opened in Disney Springs this year. Most recently, Sunshine Churros opened two carts — one in Disney Springs’ West Side and one in the Marketplace. Sunshine Churros The menu features seven specialty churros — traditional cinnamon, watermelon, apple cinnamon, Fruity Pebbles, salted caramel, cherry limeade, and peach mango ($5.25 each), and two gourmet churros — strawberry cheesecake and Oreo ($6.25). You can also add a dip (Nutella or Dulce de Leche) to a specialty churro for $1 more. Sunshine Churros Menu Our personal favorites are the Peach Mango and the Cherry Limeade Churros! Peach Mango Churro Cherry Limeade Churro Read our full review of Sunshine Churros here! Cookie Dough and Everything Sweet Also new to Disney Springs’ West Side is a cookie dough food truck, aptly called Cookie Dough and Everything Sweet. Cookie Dough and Everything Sweet The menu features five signature treats as well as cups or cones of cookie dough. The cookie dough flavors are Chocolate Chip, Peanut Butter & Fluff, Cookies ‘n Cream Cold Brew, Celebration, and Candy Monster. If you’re looking for a vegan flavor, you’ll want to check out the Celebration and Cookies ‘n Cream Cold Brew. Unfortunately, none of the flavors are gluten-free. Cookie Dough and Everything Sweet Menu Our personal favorite is the Celebration Parfait, which features layers of Celebration Cookie Dough and Celebration Mickey Cake, vanilla custard, strawberries, sprinkles, whipped cream, and a cherry. Celebration Parfait Note that this location usually doesn’t open until 5pm! Read our full review of Cookie Dough and Everything Sweet here! Jaleo This March, Disney Springs welcomed the fifth U.S. location of Jaleo by Chef José Andrés. Jaleo in Disney Springs The restaurant itself features rich and vibrant decor to coincide with the authentic Spanish cuisine, and the food is very much in line with Chef Andrés’ playful and innovative style. Jaleo One of our favorite things we’ve eaten there is the Croquetas de Pollo, which are traditional chicken fritters served on a plate resembling a pillow. This kind of reminds us of the pillow holding Cinderella’s slipper, and it’s meant to! Read more here about Chef Andres’ shoe theme! Croquetas de Pollo at Jaleo The Paella Valencia is an authentic standout as well! Paella Valencia Read our full review of Jaleo here! Pepe Chef José Andrés also opened Pepe, which is a counter-service location attached to Jaleo. This location in Disney Springs is the first brick-and-mortar location for Pepe, following the Pepe food truck, which has been a hit for the last several years in Washington, D.C. Pepe At Pepe, you’ll find sandwiches, gazpacho, salads, sangria, and more, including the absolutely delicious Pepito Ternera! Pepito Ternera on Pan de Cristal We highly recommend grabbing a quick bite here if you’re in a hurry while checking out everything at Disney Springs. Check out our full review of Pepe here! Mac and Cheese Food Truck Rounding out our list of additions to Disney Springs is the Mac and Cheese Food Truck! Mac & Cheese Food Truck The menu, of course, is all about Mac and Cheese. But several variations on the beloved comfort food keep things interesting… Mac & Cheese Food Truck Sign We especially enjoyed the Bacon Cheeseburger Macaroni & Cheese — read our full review of it here! Bacon Cheeseburger Mac & Cheese The mac and cheese dishes we tried were all hearty and quite filling! Definitely grab a bowl if you’re in the mood for a mac attack! Check out our full review of the Mac and Cheese Truck here! Recently Opened at Coronado Springs Resort Toledo — Tapas, Steak & Seafood Gran Destino Tower opened at Disney World’s Coronado Springs Resort this summer, and with it came a few new restaurants. The resort’s headlining restaurant is called Toledo — Tapas, Steak, & Seafood. The beautiful restaurant serves a variety of Spanish-inspired dishes in an elegant setting. Toledo Toledo serves some unique eats, like Savory Churros, and some standout dishes like the Manhattan Filet. This restaurant may not be for everyone, though, since the meal is pretty long and the cuisine may not appeal to all diners. Savory Churros It’s also pretty far away from the theme parks, so if this is on your list, it will be a “destination” location. Manhattan Filet But if you find yourself in Gran Destino tower looking for a more upscale dining experience, it can be a wonderful way to spend a few hours of your day. Read our full review of Toledo here! Barcelona Lounge Gran Destino Tower’s Barcelona Lounge is another beautiful space, and it offers breakfast in the morning and tapas and drinks in the afternoon and evening. Barcelona Lounge In the morning, you’ll find things like coffee, pastries, yogurt, and fresh fruit. Nitro Cold Brew and Cold Brew Coffee Spanish Pastries It’s a great spot to grab a quick bite before a busy day at the parks. Read our review of breakfast at Barcelona Lounge here! From late morning until midnight, you can order a variety of light bites and drinks, with an emphasis on gin tonics. The Gran Gin Tonic is the signature drink of Gran Destino Tower, but for Barcelona Lounge patrons who may not love the flavor of gin, bartenders recommend the sweet Costa Del Sol with sweet-and-sour, pineapple, and fresh fruit. Barcelona Lounge Eats Read our review of tapas and drinks at Barcelona Lounge here! Dahlia Lounge Sitting on the top of Gran Destino Tower is the stunning Dahlia Lounge. Inspired by the Disney short film Destino, this was, in part, storyboarded by artist Salvador Dali. Dahlia Lounge The extensive drink menu features a large selection of Spanish wines in addition to specialty cocktails. Dahlia Lounge Menu The Lounge also provides guests with views of Hollywood Studios fireworks — you might be lucky enough to spot Epcot’s fireworks to the right as well! Theme Park Views Check out our review of Dahlia Lounge here! Three Bridges Bar & Grill at Villa del Lago Another new location to Coronado Springs Resort is Three Bridges Bar & Grill at Villa del Lago. This new restaurant features over-the-water dining in an open-air setting. Three Bridges Bar & Grill Three Bridges Bar & Grill offers a variety of drinks and eats, like Sherry Cobbler, Espumoso Punch, and Warm Manchego and Oaxaca Cheese Dip. Sherry Cobbler and Espumoso Punch Warm Manchego and Oaxaca Cheese Dip We thoroughly enjoyed our first visit to Three Bridges Bar & Grill — learn all about it in our full review here! Recently Opened at Disney’s Grand Californian Hotel Craftsman Bar Disney’s Grand Californian Hotel & Spa has a new pool bar and it’s aptly called the Craftsman Bar. The seating area feels relaxed and laid-back, and the menu includes Appetizers, Artisanal Pizzas, Kids’ Meals, and Desserts. Craftsman Bar During our visit, we especially enjoyed the Maine Lobster Quesadillas! Maine Lobster Quesadilla Check out our full review of Craftsman Bar here! Whew!!! Now that we covered everything that’s opened recently, let’s turn our attention to everything coming soon to the Disney parks and resorts! Coming Soon to Epcot Regal Eagle Smokehouse: Craft Drafts & Barbecue Earlier this summer, we learned that a new restaurant is coming to Epcot’s American Adventure Pavilion — Regal Eagle Smokehouse: Craft Drafts & Barbecue. According to Disney, this restaurant will open later this year and will replace the recently-closed Liberty Inn. It will feature BBQ and craft brews on tap. American Adventure Disney shares that the modern barbecue smokehouse will have “all the accompanying sights, sounds, smells and flavors you love – including a large smoker preparing fine food every day right on the pavilion’s promenade.” A redesigned patio is also in the works! Learn more about Regal Eagle Smokehouse here! Space 220 Also slated to open later this year is Space 220, which will be helmed by The Patina Group and located near Future World’s Mission: Space attraction. Space 220 To access the restaurant, guests will board an elevator that will simulate real-time rocketing into orbit as they travel to a space station hovering above the Earth. Diners will see daytime and nighttime views of Earth as they’re surrounded by a full panoramic view of space! Space 220 Concept Art ©Disney The menu is not yet available, but we do know the location will offer internationally-inspired cuisine along with more than 1,000 bottles of the world’s finest wines and a wide selection of craft beer. Learn more about Space 220 here La Crêperie de Paris Set to open in Epcot’s France Pavilion in summer 2020 is La Crêperie de Paris. Creperie Concept Art ©Disney This new location will offer both table and quick-service dining and will feature a menu from celebrity chef Jérôme Bocuse of Chefs de France and Monsieur Paul. Learn more about La Crêperie de Paris here! Coming Soon to Disney Springs Ample Hills Creamery If you follow Disney Food Blog, you’ve likely known all about how much we love Ample Hills Creamery, which already has a location on Disney’s BoardWalk. And now, another location is coming to Disney World, and this one will be located in Disney Springs! Ample Hills Creamery The new Ample Hills location will be located in Disney Springs’ West Side and will feature much of what you can already snag at the current Ample Hills location. We’re already wondering if they will create a flavor that can only be purchased at Disney Springs, like the Sally Sells Seashells BoardWalk-exclusive flavor! Learn more about the second Ample Hills location here! Beatrix Also coming soon to Disney Springs is Beatrix, which will head into an open location on the area’s West Side. ©Disney According to Disney, the location will be a “neighborhood restaurant, coffeehouse and grab-and-go market featuring healthy food options including vegetarian, gluten-free, and vegan along with fresh-squeezed juice cocktails.” The restaurant, helmed by Lettuce Entertain You Enterprises, will also have a full-service bar and bakery. Learn more about Beatrix here! City Works Eatery & Pour House Heads up, beer fans! Another restaurant coming soon to Disney Springs is City Works Eatery & Pour House, which will be located adjacent to the new NBA Experience. When it opens, guests can expect to enjoy plenty of high-def TVs (including a 165-inch screen) showing live sporting events. City Works Eatery & Pour House Construction In keeping with the current seven City Works Eatery & Pour House locations, the Disney Springs location will serve 80 beers on tap (!!!!!!). These will include rare, limited supply, special tappings from local breweries as well as from spots around the globe. Wine will also be served. No matter what you choose, expect the pub grub, shareable plates, burgers, and more to pair well with your beverage! Read more about City Works Eatery & Pour House here! And upon investigation into other City Works locations and discovering that many of them offer similar menus, we headed to a City Works close-by and did a quick review! Pork Chop at City Works See what you might be able to expect at the Disney Springs City Works here! Coming Soon to Disney California Adventure Pym Test Kitchen In 2020, Disney California Adventure will welcome the first phase of its Marvel-themed land, Avengers Campus. A brand new restaurant known as PYM Test Kitchen will open as part of this new land. PYM Test Kitchen Concept Art ©Disney We don’t know a whole lot about this location yet, but Disney has given us a taste of what we can expect. “Just as Ant-Man and The Wasp use ‘Pym Particles’ to grow and shrink just about anything, Pym Technologies is using the latest innovations to grow and shrink food at this eatery!” Sounds interesting, doesn’t it?? Find more details about PYM Test Kitchen here! Coming Soon to Disney’s Riviera Resort Topolino’s Terrace — Flavors of the Riviera As you may know, Disney World’s Riviera Resort is set to open its doors on December 16th, 2019. When the newest Disney Vacation Club resort opens, so will its several dining locations. These include Topolino’s Terrace — Flavors of the Riviera, Le Petit Cafe, Voyageurs Lounge, Bar Riva, and Primo Piatto. Riviera Resort Concept Art ©Disney Read about all the dining locations coming to the Riviera Resort here! Topolino’s will be the resort’s headlining restaurant and will feature signature dining for dinner, great views of Epcot’s fireworks, and a prix fixe character breakfast! The restaurant’s menu will offer a blend of Italian and French dishes inspired by the Riviera region of Europe. Topolino’s Terrace — Flavors of the Riviera Concept Art ©Disney Learn more about Topolino’s Terrace — Flavors of the Riviera here! Coming Soon to Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort Enchanted Rose Earlier this year, we told you that the Grand Floridian Resort’s Mizner’s Lounge would be renovated to become a lounge inspired by the Disney live-action movie, Beauty and the Beast and recently we learned it would be named Enchanted Rose. Enchanted Rose ©Disney The new lounge will feature four unique spaces inspired by the film. Disney states that the signature bar “will glow from the light of a magnificent gold chandelier that takes its inspiration from Belle’s flowing ball gown.” Beauty and the Beast-themed Lounge Concept Art ©Disney The menu at Enchanted Rose will be notably upscale with options like White Sturgeon caviar, artisanal cheeses, Octopus a la Plancha, and — what we’re looking forward to most — truffle fries! Enchanted Rose Menu Items ©Disney The drink menu will feature handcrafted cocktails like the Island Rose with grapefruit and rose vodka, lime, orgeat, pineapple, bitters, and rose water. Enchanted Rose Cocktails ©Disney A variety of non-alcoholic selections will be available including the Garden Cocktail, featuring a non-alcoholic spirit, lime juice, agave nectar, and soda. We’re excited to see trendy non-alcoholic spirits in use here and are looking forward to sampling this one! Enchanted Rose Non-Alcoholic Beverages ©Disney According to Disney, the lounge will be opening this Fall. We’re sad to see Mizner’s go, but think this new spot will be a welcome new addition to the beautiful Grand Floridian. Read more about Enchanted Rose here! Coming Soon to Walt Disney World’s Swan and Dolphin Java and Frozen Drink Counter Walt Disney World’s Swan and Dolphin Resort recently released information stating that not one but TWO new quick-service food and drink locations are on their way! These two new locations are being added to the Swan’s lobby. Java, a new grab-and-go location, will serve a few breakfast options along with sandwiches, wraps, salads, and desserts throughout the day. This location is expected to open later this summer. Java ©Swan and Dolphin Java will also serve teas, espressos, and coffees. They’re even going to serve Nitro Brew, which is cold-brewed coffee tapped with liquid nitrogen. There will also be a new frozen drink counter, which is expected to open in the fall! Learn more about these upcoming locations here!
