  1. Many airlines have continued to struggle, even now, almost six years after the pandemic. Spirit Airlines has been busy cutting flights from cities, and American Airlines has announced it would stop service at several cities. Well, budget airline Frontier Airlines is now following suit. Flying with Frontier According to The Points Guy, Frontier Airlines is cutting service from a total of 10 cities to slow its growth and bring in more profit. The discount airline has already ended or will soon end service to 10 cities and has plans to slow its growth to around 10% annually through 2030. Here is the full list of airports Frontier has already ended service at or will end service at soon: Patrick Leahy Burlington International Airport (BTV) in Vermont — ended November 2025 Charleston International Airport (CHS) — ends May 2026 Green Bay Austin Straubel International Airport (GRB) in Wisconsin — ended August 2025 Harrisburg International Airport (MDT) in Pennsylvania — ends April 2026 Missoula Montana Airport (MSO) — ended December 2025 Portland International Jetport (PWM) in Maine — ended August 2025 Savannah/Hilton Head International Airport (SAV) — ended October 2025 Cyril E. King Airport (STT) on St. Thomas in the U.S. Virgin Islands — ended August 2025 Henry E. Rohlsen Airport (STX) on St. Croix in the U.S. Virgin Islands — ended August 2025 Tulsa International Airport (TUL) — ends May 2026 Frontier Plane at the Orlando Airport According to a Frontier spokesperson, these cities were dropped “based on demand and broader market dynamics.” Frontier recently reported a net loss of $137 million in 2025. The airline revealed plans to shrink its fleet by returning 24 Airbus planes to the company they’re being leased from. Then the company plans on focusing on increasing flights with its existing planes. Frontier also delayed the deliveries of 69 new planes over the next three years…those deliveries are now set to begin in 2030 or later. ©Frontier Airlines We’ll keep an eye out for more air travel and airline news, so stay tuned to DFB for more. 2. A long-awaited change is FINALLY arriving at Disneyland Paris! ©Disney On March 29th, 2025, Walt Disney Studios Park at Disneyland Paris is OFFICIALLY rebranding to Disney Adventure World! This park will not only change its name, but will also debut A MASSIVE THEME PARK EXPANSION with the brand-new World of Frozen — which will boast several new attractions, shops, and restaurants. Let’s take a look at all of these announcements and what you can expect to see at the Parisian theme park! With a newly themed park comes a new map and layout! Disney Adventure World will feature five distinct lands with more expansion on the way. ©Disney The “new” park includes an enhanced entrance that lets guests step on the red carpet, as well as World Premiere Plaza, where Disney and Pixar stories will come to life through shows, attractions, and special character meet-and-greets! ©Disney As for the new World of Frozen land, Disney indicates it will look similar to the one at Hong Kong Disneyland — which we’re HUGE fans of! World of Frozen ©Disney The atmosphere is expected to be lively and vibrant, full of fun attractions, meet-and-greets, and immersive restaurants. ©Disney Disneyland Paris shared a look inside Arendelle Castle, where you can meet Anna and Elsa thanks to the “Rencontre Royal”. ©Disney The design of this experience is pulled right from Frozen and more famous imagery, including a version of Jean-Honoré Fragonard’s famous painting “The Swing”. ©Disney Per Disney, the waiting area will also include family portraits of Anna and Elsa as children with their parents, and another of Anna and Elsa with Kristoff, Sven, and Olaf. ©Disney In the actual meet-and-greet room, there’s even more familiar nods to Frozen! ©Disney Frozen Ever After will also be coming to the World of Frozen, in a version that takes inspiration from already established versions in Hong Kong Disneyland, Tokyo DisneySea, and EPCOT in Disney World. Hong Kong Disneyland Animatronics The land will even get a roaming Olaf animatronic! ©Disney We’re also very excited for a daytime show that will be staged on Viking longships in Arendelle Bay — in addition to plenty of themed shopping experiences. ©Disney As for dining, Nordic Crowns Tavern will be a new quick-service restaurant open for both lunch and dinner that features decor “that tells the story of the kingdom through galleries of paintings and royal artifacts.” Here, patrons can enjoy a customizable dining experience inspired by Nordic cuisine. ©Disney The menu will feature 16 possible combinations, each of which starts with hearty bases such as mashed potatoes or quinoa, paired with proteins like grilled salmon or Nordic meatballs. You’ll also get seasonal veggies and tangy cranberry or creamy dill sauce. The Tavern will also be home to “frosty desserts” like blue sorbet, vanilla ice cream with customizable toppings, delicate snowflake treats, and traditional pastries. ©Disney The Regal View Restaurant & Lounge will be a new table-service restaurant in the land that serves breakfast, lunch, and dinner. ©Disney Meals will be served in a “refined atmosphere decorated with embroidered drapes, floral tapestries, delicate wood moldings,” featuring murals of popular Disney Princesses. ©Disney This Princess character meal will let guests meet Belle, Merida, Jasmine, Aurora, Mulan, and Ariel! ©Disney Disney also shared that ornamental plates inspired by the Disney Princesses were designed and handmade by Royal Delft — a renowned Dutch porcelain manufacturer. You’ll also be able to spot a canopy at the entrance of the restaurant that features ironwork expertise dating back to the early 19th century from workshops in Alsace. ©Disney The lounge will actually be the very first bar located in either of the Disneyland Paris parks, and is dedicated to the animal companions of Disney Princesses, including Heihei, Pascal, and Mushu! Here, you can grab some signature cocktails and eats as well as get great views of Adventure Bay and the World of Frozen fireworks! ©Disney We also learned that there will be 14 brand-new food and beverage locations along Adventure Way. La Terrasse Panoramique will serve hearty bread bowls, New York rolls, and comforting hot beverages. Café Luminosity will feature an original hot dog with four signature recipes, paired with sweet treats like cinnamon rolls. You can also get new snacks at mobile food carts like filled brioche rolls, stuffed potato waffles, and whimsical desserts inspired by Disney Princesses. ©Disney But that’s not all! The park’s promenade will feature themed gardens and a variety of live entertainment. There will be a Tangled Garden and a Toy Story Garden, along with seasonal entertainment like “Rapunzel and Flynn’s Musical Encounter in spring to Mary Poppins and the Pearly Band in summer, Miguel’s Latin Festival in fall, and a variety of character greetings starting next November.” ©Disney Mickey and Minnie will also meet guests in new Victorian-inspired costumes! Disney has teased that more characters will join them soon after the area opens. ©Disney The park will also offer Disney Cascade of Lights — a water, light, and sound special effects show that boasts hundreds of drones, pyrotechnics, choreographed fountains, and more in a 360-degree view! ©Disney But wait — there’s more! The park will also open Raiponce Tangled Spin on March 29th! This new attraction is based on Tangled and features boats (identical to the ones in the movie) that whirl guests around beneath floating lanterns. The ride will even feature the iconic “I See the Light” song! ©Disney Mandy Moore is BACK in the role of Rapunzel, voicing exclusive audio announcements for the attraction. ©Disney While it’s not opening just yet, Disney has promised a new land based on The Lion King and a ride coming to the park! ©Disney It looks like Disney Adventure World is going to be PACKED with tons of fun, and we can’t wait to see it in action! We expect tons more updates from all the Disney Parks around the world, so stay tuned right here at DFB for all the latest! 3. Since 2009, I’ve had “Almost There” from The Princess and the Frog stuck in my head. And I am not even 1% mad about it! ©Loungefly That’s why I, along with many other Disney fans, was stoked to see more representation in the parks in the form of rides and restaurants! Get the Tiana Cosplay Loungefly Backpack ©Loungefly Disney Princesses are known to have some pretty iconic dresses, and Tiana is a fan-favorite for a reason. She’s a fashion icon in her own right! That’s why we love that Loungefly decided to take inspiration from the gorgeous green gown she wears at the end of the movie. The gold embroidery? Stunning. The leaf details? You’re kidding me. And don’t even get me started on the zipper charm (if you know you know). Check price on Loungefly’s website This Tiana Recipe Book Bag is the best Loungefly I’ve seen this year. ©Loungefly Another thing Tiana is known for? Her cooking, of course! 4. If you’re planning a trip to the Magic Kingdom, there are certain items that you need to carry with you. Loungefly Organizer Now, some other guests may be judgmental, but trust us, they’re going to make your day much better. DISCLOSURE: This post may contain affiliate links, meaning when you click the links and make a purchase, we receive a commission. Silicone Straws A Sunseeke Silicone Straw inside our Frozen Coke! Some guests may give you a second glance for breaking out your own silicone straws at the park, but it’ll be worth it when the paper straws Disney provides begin disintegrating. This set of 12 reusable straws comes with 4 pouches to store them in and includes cleaning brushes, and we really like having these to avoid that yucky feeling! SHOP HERE Frogg Togg Poncho Frogg Toggs Poncho People may find it weird that you’re not using a Disney-branded poncho, but that’s because they’ve never tried a Frogg Togg. This poncho — available on Amazon in multiple colors, including this striking hot pink — has several features that we simply adored. The material allows the rain to slip right off, and between that and the lack of sleeves, we don’t feel steamed or hot underneath. On top of that, the poncho was large enough that our backpack was able to fit underneath it comfortably, while still keeping the bag and our backs completely covered from the rain. SHOP HERE JISULIFE Portable Neck Fan JISULIFE Portable Neck Fan Available on Amazon in multiple colors and styles, this bladeless neck fan will not pinch hair or cut your fingers, ensuring safe use for people with long hair. The fan is constructed of soft and comfortable material and was ergonomically designed to be light and comfortable. In other words, you’ll be way too cool to notice any weird looks. SHOP HERE Loungefly Organizer See how much we can fit in our bag! This divider is made of waterproof nylon, which makes it “lightweight & durable” and offers multiple pockets of “different sizes for electronics accessories, bottles, umbrella, cosmetics, travel items, wallets, and purses.” This organizer is definitely WORTH the price in our eyes, as its multiple compartments leave room for everything we need in our Loungefly, and the organizer can simply be pulled out and switched over to the next backpack, making switching between Loungeflys much easier. SHOP HERE Next time you’re heading to the Magic Kingdom, be sure to keep these items in your go-to bag. Stay tuned to DFB for more Disney World essentials! View the full article

  6. A new permit filed by Walt Disney World Resort hints that something NEW could be coming to Disney’s Contemporary Resort. Construction at the Contemporary Resort has been ongoing since September 2024, and we recently spotted a new permit that was filed. Disney’s Contemporary Resort The refurbishment at Disney’s Contemporary Resort is expected to continue through late 2027, though construction has already been extended several times. Initially, the refurbishment was expected to be done in summer 2025, then July 2026, and now it has been extended through late 2027. Currently, Disney World has a construction warning for “select areas” of the Contemporary Resort, including the atrium and Bay Lake Tower. As well, the Bay Cove Pool, the Cover Bar, the water play area, and the whirlpool spa at Bay Lake Tower are closed for maintenance through early May 2026. Rooms at Bay Lake Tower have been refurbished, and now it appears some glasswork will be done at the resort. Disney’s Contemporary Resort A permit filed by Walt Disney World for “general construction” lists Glazing Management & Consultants in Kissimmee, Florida, as the contractor. As you can probably tell by the name, this contractor specializes in glazing. On the company’s Blue Book profile, it lists its main lines of business as curtain walls, glass and glazing, and skylights and sky domes. The address on the permit matches the address for the Contemporary Resort; however, we don’t know exactly what sort of glasswork the contractor will be doing. ©Disney We will be keeping an eye out for additional changes happening at the Contemporary Resort! The hotel has been undergoing many updates, including refurbishing the rooms at Disney’s Bay Lake Tower. We had the opportunity to tour one of the new 2-bedroom suites last September! 7. Which hotel you stay at during a Disney World vacation always comes down to personal choice, but there are a few hotels we need to warn you about. Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort We LOVE the Disney World hotels. The theming, perks, proximity to the parks, and fantastic amenities keep us coming back for more. With all that said, 2026 is shaping up to be a year where you’re going to want to be very picky about where you stay. Not all Disney World hotels are created equal, and some of these resorts may disappoint you during your next stay… Some Disney World resorts are lacking that famous Disney magic right now. Let’s talk about the ones we’d seriously consider skipping. All Three All-Star Resorts We’re lumping Disney’s All-Star Movies Resort, Disney’s All-Star Music Resort, and Disney’s All-Star Sports Resort altogether for this one. Look, we get it. They’re “Value” resorts, so they let you visit Disney World without leaving you completely broke. They’re colorful and nostalgic. They’re over-the-top in some of the best ways. And yet… All-Star Resorts The harsh reality for 2026 is that they’re not improving enough. These hotels are out of the way of basically everything. You’re relying entirely on buses. That means no boats, no monorail, and no Skyliner. While Disney transportation is solid, those bus lines at park close will make you reconsider staying at an All-Star Resort. Bus stop at All-Star Movies If price is your top priority, the difference in cost between the All-Stars and Disney’s Pop Century Resort is often shockingly small. And Pop has Skyliner access. Disney Skyliner at Art of Animation and Pop Century Resorts Being able to hop on the Skyliner to EPCOT and Disney’s Hollywood Studios is a game-changer. It’s way faster and more relaxing than the bus, and it feels more like an attraction. If you ask me, it’s 1 million percent worth ponying up a little extra for Pop Century rather than saving a few bucks and relying on the All-Star bus routes. Disney Skyliner Gondolas Not only that, but the All-Star Resorts can have crowd issues. These hotels are group central. Youth groups, school trips, cheer competitions, and sports teams often stay here — especially at All-Star Sports. It can be loud, chaotic, and not at all what you signed up for. Crowds If you’re rope-dropping every day and just need a bed? Fine. But if you want the peace and quiet expected with a hotel stay while on vacation — well, I wish you the best of luck. 5 Super Cringey Things That Make Me Rethink Walking Into Disney’s All-Star Hotels Ever Again Bay Lake Tower at the Contemporary Now let’s talk about a hotel that should be elite. Bay Lake Tower at Disney’s Contemporary Resort is incredible, offering a location that’s within walking distance to Magic Kingdom, as well as monorail access, fireworks views, and a clean/modern aesthetic. It’s one of the nicer places you can stay during a Disney World trip. Bay Lake Tower at Disney’s Contemporary Resort The problem? In 2026, it’s basically a never-ending construction zone. We’re talking tons of renovations and exterior work. Not only is this construction an eyesore with construction walls and heavy machinery, but it also presents lots of noise and limited access to certain areas. Bay Lake Tower But don’t expect a discount. You’re still paying deluxe prices (or DVC points that you worked HARD for), and you’re not getting that full luxury experience. Yes, the location is still top-tier, but at these prices, we’re not too giddy about the prospect of construction waking us up early in the morning. This Is My Favorite Place to Eat at Disney’s Contemporary Resort and Too Many People Don’t Even Know It’s There Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort & Spa This one hurts a little. Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort & Spa is ICONIC — and for good reason. It’s Disney meets luxury. It’s situated in a prime location. It’s got tons of transportation options. A stay here will make you feel special…well, usually. But in 2026? We have some qualms. Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort and Spa Disney just extended the construction timeline again. Refurbishments are ongoing, meaning sections are walled off, and construction is ever-present. While the refreshed rooms look lovely and the new lobby has come together nicely, it’s all still so disruptive. Grand Floridian Resort With the opening of the new lobby bar, The Perch, as well as the return of the Garden View Tea Room, foot traffic is going to pick up at the hotel in 2026. The Grand Floridian already draws non-resort guests for dining, shopping, and monorail hopping. It’s only going to get worse. The Perch While the new shine will eventually wear off from these dining locations, construction is slated to continue through 2027…so expect the Grand Floridian to pop up on this list AGAIN in 2027. Grand Floridian Resort Ultimately, if you’re fine with these setbacks at any of these hotels, don’t let us stop you from following your heart! Our goal is to simply inform you of these updates and potential pitfalls so that you can make the best decision for you and your family. 3 Things We’re BEGGING Disney To Bring to the Grand Floridian Tea Room We’ll be here in Disney World every day this year and beyond, so be sure to keep it posted right here at DFB for all the latest Disney World hotel news, tips, tricks, and reviews! 8. If you were planning on heading to a Disney World water park, you need to know about this important update! Starting today, February 15th, Blizzard Beach has officially reopened. However, Typhoon Lagoon is now temporarily unavailable. You can still soak up some sun and enjoy a day in the water, but you will need to head to Blizzard Beach instead of Typhoon Lagoon. Blizzard Beach However, if you are a Typhoon Lagoon lover, you need to mark your calendar for May 12th, 2026. Typhoon Lagoon may currently be closed for refurbishment, but it will reopen on May 12th and remain open for the summer. The best part? BOTH Typhoon Lagoon and Blizzard Beach will be open for the summer. Blizzard Beach is one of the two water parks at Disney World, and it combines the fun of a water park with the setting of an Alpine-style ski resort. Enjoy the Florida sunshine and clear water against a backdrop of snowy mountains. Inside Blizzard Beach, you will find waterslides, a chairlift, a lazy river, a training camp for kids, and so much more. We always love spending a day enjoying Blizzard Beach. Chairlift at Blizzard Beach You can enjoy Blizzard Beach now, and starting May 12th, you can also enjoy Typhoon Lagoon. Both water parks will remain open for the summer. This is great news if you are staying at a Disney World hotel this summer, as the free water park perk will be returning. With this perk, each member of your party will receive admission to one of Disney World’s water parks on their check-in day. Keep in mind, though, this perk will only be offered during the summer season. The water park perk is available from May 26th through September 8th, 2026. 9. EPCOT offers flavors from around the world for you to dine on while visiting. While some are very popular, there might be a few you’re passing right by, and trust us, you’re missing out! Pizza al Taglio With so many festival booths and fan-favorite restaurants competing for your attention, it’s easy to default to the same familiar spots. Some locations are tucked away, easy to overlook, or misunderstood at first glance. Others simply don’t get the hype they deserve compared to their neighbors. If you’re ready to shake up your usual food routine, these are the World Showcase restaurants worth a second look. Biergarten Restaurant Tucked inside the Germany pavilion, Biergarten Restaurant is a lively, all-you-care-to-enjoy buffet that transports guests straight to a Bavarian village. Long communal tables, live musicians, and a rotating selection of German favorites like schnitzel, sausages, roasted chicken, spaetzle, and pretzel bread make this one of EPCOT’s most immersive dining experiences. It’s a great option for families or groups who want a hearty meal paired with entertainment, and the buffet format makes it easy for picky eaters to find something they’ll enjoy. Biergarten Despite all that, Biergarten is often overlooked because it sits in the back of the pavilion. We also feel like it’s less talked about, but if you are looking for fun and something more unique than the traditional dining experience, this is for you. The price of this meal is hard to justify for just the buffet itself, even though it is an excellent meal. Once you see how great the entertainment is, the price makes more sense. Read DFB’s Latest Biergarten Review Here! Our plate! Crêpes À Emporter by La Crêperie de Paris Located in the France pavilion, Crêpes À Emporter is the quick-service sibling to La Crêperie de Paris, offering both sweet and savory crêpes to-go. Menu highlights include ham and cheese galettes, Nutella-filled crêpes, and simple sugar-and-lemon options that feel straight out of a Parisian street stand. It’s an excellent choice for a light meal, snack, or even breakfast while strolling the showcase. Crêpes à Emporter This spot is easy to forget because it doesn’t have dedicated seating nearby, which can be a dealbreaker for guests looking to rest their feet. However, if you’re comfortable grabbing your crêpe and finding a shady spot or eating on the go, it’s one of the most flavorful and satisfying quick bites in EPCOT. The quality often surprises guests who assume it’s “just a snack.” Read Our Latest Review Here of Crêpes à Emporter Le Bete de Crepe or The Beast Crepe Rose & Crown Dining Room The Rose & Crown Dining Room sits along the waterfront in the United Kingdom pavilion and offers classic British pub fare in a charming, cozy setting. Inside, you’ll find dishes like fish and chips, shepherd’s pie, bangers and mash, and sticky toffee pudding, along with a solid selection of beers and ciders. The atmosphere feels warm and relaxed, especially if you snag a table near the windows overlooking World Showcase Lagoon. Rose & Crown One reason this restaurant gets overlooked is that it’s only open for dinner, which can make it easy to miss when planning a full EPCOT day. Many guests default to the connected pub or grab quick service from Yorkshire County Fish and Chips instead. Still, if you’re looking for a slower-paced, sit-down dinner with familiar comfort food and great views, the Rose & Crown Dining Room is worth remembering. Our Latest Rose & Crown Review is Here! Shepherd’s Pie Pizza al Taglio Found in the Italy pavilion, Pizza al Taglio serves pizza by the slice, featuring thick, airy crusts and rotating toppings like pepperoni, margherita, and vegetable options. It’s a simple, no-frills counter-service spot that delivers exactly what it promises: hot, filling pizza that’s easy to share or enjoy solo. It’s especially popular with kids and anyone craving something familiar. Pizza al Taglio This location is often overlooked because, like Crêpes À Emporter, there’s limited seating nearby. Guests may also pass it by in favor of table-service options like Via Napoli without realizing how convenient Pizza al Taglio can be. 10. New photos show an aerial view of the construction progress at Piston Peak National Park in Magic Kingdom. We have been keeping a close eye on the construction from the ground, but with all the construction walls, it can be hard to see what is happening in the area. ©Bioreconstruct on Instagram However, Bioreconstruct just shared a ton of new photos, giving us a glimpse into what is happening behind the walls. It is always exciting to see the progress in new areas at Disney World, so let’s take a look at these new photos! The photos showed concrete forms with rebar being placed in the new area. These are the first foundations for the ride route for one of the new attractions. ©Bioreconstruct on Instagram We can also see some of the elevation changes being added to this area. A plateau is being built in the middle of Piston Peak National Park. ©Bioreconstruct on Instagram There is also additional land clearing happening near the Haunted Mansion and the “it’s a small world” ride buildings. ©Bioreconstruct on Instagram The pictures also give us a look at the scrim up around the Haunted Mansion facade. The attraction is still open, but much of the building is currently covered by green scrim. ©Bioreconstruct on Instagram Beyond Big Thunder Mountain, we can also see work being done on what will eventually become the new Villains land in Magic Kingdom. ©bioreconstruct The new Piston Peak National Park area in Magic Kingdom is inspired by the movie Cars. Piston Peak will invite guests to enter the world of Cars with a National Park twist. So far, Disney has announced that this new area will feature two NEW Cars attractions. There will be a rally race-themed attraction that will have riders racing through mountains on wild terrain, dodging geysers, and splashing through mud holes. The queue for this attraction will be housed in the visitor lodge of Piston Peak National Park. ©Bioreconstruct on Instagram Additionally, there will be a family-friendly attraction geared toward “smaller racers” that will still be fun for the whole family. Throughout Piston Peak National Park, there will be “car-ified” elements, such as lower windows for cars to see out of and entrances large enough for cars. There will even be a geyser inspired by Old Faithful called Old Tankful. The geyser will erupt periodically throughout the day, and guests can even race around it. ©Disney We are in the parks every single day, and we are always on the lookout for the latest Disney news. 11. When it comes to Disney news, there is quite a bit to keep up with these days! The company just announced a new CEO, and the theme parks are expanding at a rate we haven’t seen in a long time. Frozen Ever After in EPCOT That’s why each week, we like to do a news roundup of the biggest moments from the Walt Disney Company! So we never miss a moment, and neither do you. Let’s dive into this week’s biggest news and updates right here. Another day, another Disney update! That’s how it’s been feeling around these parts lately. We love the changes, but it can feel like a bittersweet time to be a theme park fan. Luckily for us, this week didn’t come with any major permanent closures or demolitions, so we’re already starting off strong. A New Theme Park Patent Was Filed One of the biggest news drops from this week was that Disney filed a new patent that could be a huge theme park game-changer. The new patent that was filed was for a ride system that uses an attraction vehicle that can move along a track, but is also attached to a movable arm. The arm could move a ride vehicle up, down, sideways, backwards, and more, while still staying on the track. ©Disney This means upcoming rides could move around the track in ways we have never seen before! According to the patent, the system includes a ride vehicle that can move normally on a track, but the attached arm can move to adjust the position of the ride vehicle relative to the track. The patent said, “the ride vehicle is movable separately from the arm.” The arm is also extendable, so it could move the ride vehicle towards and away from the track. ©Disney The patent states this could provide a more “immersive and unique guest experience.” The patent also makes it look like it could create a”jumping-type” attraction. It even mentions that the ride system could allow guests to control the vehicle’s moment during their ride. This is major news as Disney is working on several new lands around the theme parks, like Piston Peak and Villains Land in Magic Kingdom. ©Disney To read more about this new patent and its potential impacts, click the link below! This NEW Disney Patent Could Be a Game Changer for Future Park Expansions A Popular Ride Reopens EARLY Our second big news of the week is that Frozen Ever After reopened EARLY in EPCOT! The popular ride in the Norway pavilion had been closed since the end of January 2026 to make way for brand-new animatronics of our favorite characters! Frozen Ever After in EPCOT!\ The ride was originally supposed to reopen on February 12th, 2026, but Disney surprised us! It opened early on January 11th, 2026, for those lucky enough to be in EPCOT that day. We were some of those lucky few, so we got to check out the big changes early. Anna and Kristoff The new animatronics removed the facial projection features and now more closely match their counterparts at Hong Kong Disney and Tokyo Disney Sea. We were seriously blown away by the changes! To see more of the updates, click the link below. SURPRISE! 12. Billionaire Elon Musk’s The Boring Company touted its network of Las Vegas tunnels carrying Tesla vehicles as it sought a lead role in Universal Orlando’s transit future, offering insights into what theme park attendees may one day use to travel among the company’s attractions. The pitch appeared to impress a board planning a transportation project linking Universal’s parks and hotels. At a Wednesday meeting, the panel favored The Boring Company over two competitors, one of which expressed concerns about the practicality of drilling tunnels in Florida, according to public records obtained this week by the Orlando Sentinel. Boring’s presentation didn’t reveal specifics of what it would build in Central Florida, but it highlighted its Las Vegas Loop system as proof of its capabilities. If such a system were in place at Universal, theme parkgoers would enter a station, hop into a Tesla Model Y or Cybertruck and zoom through an underground tunnel, exiting through a side tunnel once they get to their destination. Boring boasted that its Vegas Loop can transport more than 4,400 passengers per hour with a 70-vehicle operating fleet and three stations. Future model vehicles could be added, including the Robovan designed for up to 20 people. The Loop system has been a hit with some Vegas visitors, but it’s also drawn scrutiny from Nevada lawmakers who have raised concerns about alleged workplace safety and environmental violations. The company’s proposed projects in some other cities, including Fort Lauderdale, have not come to fruition, but it is currently embarking on new endeavors in Nashville and Dubai. For now, guests at Epic Universe can travel between the new park which opened in May and Universal Studios, Islands of Adventure and the adjoining City Walk entertainment district only by car or dedicated buses. Universal Studios and Islands of Adventure are adjacent to one another and visitors can travel between them on foot or aboard the Hogwarts Express, a Harry Potter-themed train. Planning documents obtained by the Sentinel specify that the Shingle Creek Transit and Utility Community Development District (CDD) would own the new transit system linking Universal’s properties. Once negotiations are finished, the team selected for the project will be required to enter into an agreement that includes a maximum construction price and guaranteed completion date. This design, build, operation and maintenance entity will operate the system for 25 years. It is not clear how the project would be paid for, although the CDD would have the ability to issue bonds and tax landowners to pay them off. In a detailed request for qualifications issued last year, which was also obtained by the Sentinel, the Shingle Creek district wanted applicants to provide licensing, certification and insurance information; transportation construction experience; and other details, including whether they’d been sued or failed to complete a project within the scheduled contract time. It did not ask them to make a specific proposal for what they would build at Universal. The district also wanted to know the total cash value of applicants’ work for 2022, 2023 and 2024. Many portions of the replies from the prospective applicants were redacted as confidential or proprietary information in the copies of forms and documents the district provided to the news organization, which first filed a request with the district in December but only received material Thursday. The Boring Company’s 52-page pitch contained fewer details than the other two proposals. Much of the submission focused on the company’s Vegas Loop. Asked Friday by the Sentinel about the challenge of tunneling in Florida, a spokesperson for The Boring Company replied via email: “Tunneling under the water table is challenging, but quite common. Despite thinking of Vegas as a desert, its water table is quite shallow and 100% of TBC tunnels (and station/ramps) are submerged and thus have required comprehensive water management plans and infrastructure.” The email also said “extensive geological and hydrological diligence/survey would be performed before completing design and certainly before beginning construction,” and said the company would work for a firm, fixed price contract, at a figure the email did not disclose. The documents show the board reviewed two other submissions. One, spearheaded by the construction-giant ACS Infrastructure Development and autonomous-transit company Glydways, warned that tunneling in Central Florida could lead to delays, cost overruns and other issues. “Although Glydways frequently utilizes tunneled infrastructure, based on our review of the route and local geotechnical conditions, we do not recommend tunneling for this project,” the group advised. Teslas are lined up inside the Vegas Loop Wednesday, Feb. 4, 2026, in Las Vegas. (AP Photo/Ty ONeil) The team’s 200-page response listed a variety of potential issues with tunnels, including Orlando’s unstable formations and high-water table and “legacy” pollution from surrounding sites. It noted that future expansions of a tunnel system could be costly and disruptive, and emergency responses are significantly harder underground. Tunnels are also not truly watertight, requiring drainage measures like sump pumps and creating maintenance and reliability issues, the group advised. The plan envisioned a 6.7-mile transit system that would connect Universal’s major hubs. Passengers would travel in autonomous pods on a dedicated path that doesn’t intersect with regular traffic. The pods would operate at and above ground level. The system projects wait times of two minutes or less for 95% of passengers. The submission included a long list of transit projects its partners have completed. Most recently, Glydways broke ground on a half-mile automated transit network at the Georgia International Convention Center near Atlanta. The third team that submitted a reply to Shingle Creek Transit’s request identified itself as V2R, short for Vision2Reality, a partnership led by builder Balfour Beatty. It also includes the autonomous mobility company Beep, which has run self-driving buses in downtown Orlando and Lake Nona. The group described itself in its 121-page pitch “as the same trusted partnership that successfully delivered the Jacksonville Transportation Authority’s Ultimate Urban Circulator program, one of the nation’s most advanced autonomous vehicle initiatives.” Much of the group’s highlighted work in Central Florida has been on highway projects, including Florida’s Turnpike and the Wekiva Parkway, the tolled beltway around Orlando that features elevated sections designed for wildlife to pass safely underneath. Its response noted, “The V2 team understands that this system must be more than transportation. It must serve as a gateway to the destination, a connector of economic opportunity and a reliable mobility option that reduces traffic impacts associated with tourism growth.” View the full article

  14. Did you know a popular restaurant is celebrating a big anniversary at the Disneyland Resort?! Naples new anniversary drink! There are so many places to dine at Disneyland, but with the two popular parks, Downtown Disney tends to fall under the radar. Well, we’re telling you it’s time to stop sleeping on the Disney shopping and dining district. Naples Ristorante E Bar at Downtown Disney is celebrating its 25th Anniversary, and a new limited-time drink just dropped for it! Naples Ristorante E Bar is a Southern Italian restaurant located in the Downtown Disney District. The dining spot serves classic Italian dishes, as well as wines and other specialty drinks. It’s one of our favorite stops at Downtown Disney! Naples Ristorante E Bar The restaurant features plenty of seating with an indoor portion attached to a visible kitchen, an upstairs area, and a pretty sizable outdoor patio area. Naples Ristorante As we mentioned, the restaurant is celebrating its 25th Anniversary. For its milestone anniversary, the restaurant released a brand-new drink called Choco Cello. The drink comes with Vodka, Limoncello, Chocolate Liqueur, Lemon Juice, Simple Syrup, and Fee Foam. It’s topped with a white chocolate decorated 25 bar and gold glitter. You can get the drink for $19 — which we did! Choco Cello When we took that first sip, the drink was more lemon-forward than chocolate. We actually didn’t taste chocolate at all! Once we had more of the drink, we tasted a hint of the chocolate liquor. This drink is VERY sour and sweet, and is on par with a standard Limoncello. It’s refreshing and has a great pour of vodka! Here’s the new drink! If you like Limoncello, you’ll love this drink. We loved the gold glitter, and it’s definitely a pretty drink and photo-worthy! The chocolate flavor doesn’t distract from the drink at all, but could use a little more, in our opinion. We think it’s a solid, fun drink and we’d give it a 4/5. You need to try this! We were told the drink will only be available for about two more months, so don’t wait to grab this if you’re at Disneyland! 16. If you’re heading to Universal Orlando’s Epic Universe soon, we’ve got a change to warn you about. Monsters Unchained As you may be aware, Universal Orlando visitors staying at Universal hotels or Universal Premier Annual Passholders can get early entry into Epic Universe one hour before the park officially opens. This gives you the opportunity to ride attractions with lower wait times. However, if you’ve been trying to make plans for early entry at Epic Universe, we’ve got a warning…it’s changed…AGAIN. Previously, early entry from February 1st through February 28th would include select participating attractions (Universal never determined which rides were included, but it’s a case of “find out when you get there) in the following Epic Universe locations: The Wizarding World of Harry Potter — Ministry of Magic Super Nintendo World How To Train Your Dragon — Isle of Berk Isle of Berk Now, though, the information on the Universal Orlando website has changed for February 9th through March 31st. The Epic Universe attractions now included for that time period are: Harry Potter and the Battle at the Ministry Hiccup’s Wing Gliders Viking Training Camp Dragon Racer’s Rally Toothless Meet & Greet – Entertainment Mario Kart: Bowser’s Challenge Mine-Cart Madness Yoshi’s Adventure Curse of the Werewolf So yes, the updated list currently includes Harry Potter and the Battle at the Ministry. However, some rides are missing that were available previously, including Stardust Racers and Constellation Carousel, as well as both attractions in Dark Universe: Monsters Unchained and Curse of the Werewolf. Monsters Unchained: The Frankenstein Experiment So if you’ll be visiting Universal Orlando during that time, you’ll want to keep these early entry hours in mind if you’ll be eligible to use them. Of course, these are subject to change at any time (and believe us, they change OFTEN), so you want to make sure you keep an eye on the Universal Orlando website to stay updated on what’s available. We’ll keep an eye out for a change in early entry attractions, too, so stay tuned to DFB for updates. 17. Today is a special day in Disney World. It’s Valentine’s Day! That means you’ll want to enjoy all those special Valentine’s Day treats and spend time with your Valentine in the parks. Belle and Beast However, Valentine’s Day also brings special character meet and greets to the parks. Now, last year, we enjoyed Villaintine’s Day (and were a little disappointed they didn’t bring it back this year). This year, we still saw some super rare characters, though, because the Princesses in EPCOT were joined by their princes for SPECIAL meet and greets. And let’s just say…these special character couple meet and greets were VERY popular. If you guessed Belle and Beast, you would be right. People were waiting a LONG time to meet these two together, and, hey, we get it. They are ICONIC. It’s rare when you get a chance to have an actual meet and greet with Beast, although you can see him over at Be Our Guest Restaurant in Magic Kingdom. But here, he’s with his princess, and the meet and greet is SUBLIME. ICONIC couple So if you ever wondered what Disney World was like on Valentine’s Day, now you know. 20. Tension is rising as AI continues to develop! ©Capcut It was just reported that Disney sent a cease-and-desist letter to China’s ByteDance for stocking its new AI platform, Seedance 2.0, with a “pirated library of Disney’s copyrighted characters.” Let’s take a look at all the details. According to Axios, Disney sent a cease-and-desist letter to ByteDance over the platform Seedance 2.0, treating Disney IP as if it were “free public domain clip art.” This came after Seedance 2.0 received backlash from the Motion Picture Association and the Human Artistry Campaign. ©Bytedance The Human Artistry Campaign called Seedance 2.0, “an attack on every creator around the world. Stealing human creators’ work in an attempt to replace them with AI-generated slop is destructive to our culture: stealing isn’t innovation.” Seedance gained tons of attention and outrage after a series of “highly authentic-looking deepfakes” based on copyrighted Hollywood films and television IP went viral. It included a clip of Tom Cruise and Brad Pitt fighting, as well as an alternate scene from Titanic, Stranger Things, and much more. Disney’s outside attorney, David Singer, wrote, “Over Disney’s well-publicized objections, ByteDance is hijacking Disney’s characters by reproducing, distributing, and creating derivative works featuring those characters. ByteDance’s virtual smash-and-grab of Disney’s IP is willful, pervasive, and totally unacceptable.” ©Deadline The MPA called on ByteDance “to immediately cease its infringing activity.” The studio trade group exclaimed, “In a single day, the Chinese AI service Seedance 2.0 has engaged in unauthorized use of U.S. copyrighted works on a massive scale. By launching a service that operates without meaningful safeguards against infringement, ByteDance is disregarding well-established copyright law that protects the rights of creators and underpins millions of American jobs.” ©Seedance2.0 A couple of months ago, back in December, Disney sent a similar cease and desist letter to Google. Deadline reported recently that its tools, including Gemini and Nano Banana, have “now started denying prompts that contain Disney-owned characters.” The world of AI is changing, and it’s crazy to see what it’s becoming. Recently, Disney signed a $1 billion deal with OpenAI to license characters to the generative video app Sora. Only time will tell how this will impact the company. The Walt Disney Company headquarters in California Whether you agree with AI or not, it’s here, and it’s growing. 21. You know, here at DFB, we always say that Disney World is constantly changing, and the restaurants that make up the dining at Disney are no different. PizzeRizzo We review all of the Disney World restaurants for you to decide what is worth your time and money while you are on vacation. However, sometimes we have to say goodbye to a restaurant to make way for more exciting things that are to come. Here are 11 Disney restaurants that had to close permanently. Restaurantosaurus This feels a little too close to home, as this restaurant just recently closed for good, but nevertheless, it is closed permanently. Over in Disney’s Animal Kingdom, the opening day eatery Restaurantosaurus was once home to one of Disney World’s McDonald’s locations. This restaurant was set up as a mess hall for the Dino Institute interns and served burgers, chicken tenders, and more traditional American fare. The restaurant closed on February 2nd, 2026, to make way for the upcoming Pueblo Esperanza– Tropical Americas. This location is set to become a large hacienda that will also serve as one of the largest quick-service restaurants at Disney World. In the meantime, you can find a similar menu to Restaurantosaurus at Harambe Market. Read Our Review of Harambe Market Here! Restaurantosaurus Dino-Bite Snacks Speaking of DinoLand U.S.A., Dino-Bite Snacks permanently closed on October 20th, 2025, to accommodate construction for a new land in Animal Kingdom: The Tropical Americas — Pueblo Esperanza. This place was loved for its scooped ice cream and ice cream sandwiches! Guests can find soft-serve ice cream treats at Tamu Tamu Refreshments and the Anandapur Ice Cream Truck. Oh, and there’s a new ice cream sandwich over at Terra Treats! Spiced Molasses Cookie Ice Cream Sandwich Mama Melrose’s Ristorante Italiano Mama Melrose’s was an Italian table service restaurant in Disney’s Hollywood Studios. Located in Muppet’s Courtyard, this restaurant was inconsistent, sometimes great, and sometimes left much to be desired. It’s a bit expensive for what you get. It closed in June 2025 when most of Muppet’s Courtyard closed. Mama Melrose’s served Hollywood Studios for over 30 years before it was closed as part of the preparation for the upcoming Monstropolis area. Mama Melrose’s Ristorante Italiano PizzeRizzo PizzeRizzo, formerly the Pizza Planet restaurant, which opened in 2016. It served quick-service pizza, meatball subs, and salads. While the food was… not a strong suit (it was Rat Pizza after all), the eatery did develop a fanbase thanks to its elements of Muppet-theming, including the upstairs banquet hall. Like Mama Melrose’s, PizzeRizzo closed in 2025 as part of the Monsters, Inc. project. PizzeRizzo Aunt Polly’s Dockside Inn If you’re thinking, “I’ve never heard of this place!” then you’re not alone. Over in the Magic Kingdom, Aunt Polly’s Dockside Inn also closed permanently in July 2025. While some may not have noticed the quick service eatery closed as the Tom Sawyer location was only operational seasonally, those who frequented it will miss its quick service fare like BBQ sandwich biscuits, pretzel sticks, pb&j, and a Mississippi Mud Pie, all downed with a root beer float! Aunt Polly’s closed with the rest of the island in preparation for Piston Peak construction, which will become Disney World’s Cars-themed area. Aunt Polly’s on Tom Sawyer Island Trilo-Bites Trilo-Bites was a snack stand that sat right outside of DinoLand. Here lived our beloved Buffalo Chicken Chips, which have been moved (and modified) to Eight Spoon Cafe. The location permanently closed on October 20th, 2025, to make way for the new land as well. Read Our Review of the New Buffalo Chicken Chips Here! We miss you, OG Buffalo Chicken Chips Spirit of Aloha Dinner Show This one was a tough loss for many Disney fans. The Spirit of Aloha Dinner Show at Disney’s Polynesian Village Resort was a long-running luau experience featuring live entertainment, Polynesian cuisine, and fire dancing. It was a unique offering that brought a little bit of island magic to Disney World. Unfortunately, it was permanently closed in 2022 to make way for the new Island Tower at the Polynesian. While we did get Wailulu Bar & Grill, the loss of this experience still lives on. Read Our Review of Wailulu Bar & Grill Here! Spirit of Aloha Big River Grille & Brewing Works Over at Disney’s Boardwalk, Big River Grille & Brewing Works was one of the few spots in Disney World where you could get house-brewed beer with your meal. It was a more casual dining option that flew under the radar for many guests, but those who knew about it enjoyed the relaxed atmosphere and solid menu. However, it suddenly closed its doors permanently on January 22, 2024. This building still sits empty to this day, two years later Big River Grille ESPN Club If you ever found yourself on Disney’s BoardWalk looking for a place to catch your favorite team playing, chances are you ended up at the ESPN Club. This spot was a staple for sports fans, serving up classic pub food with plenty of TVs so you’d never miss a play. However, the ESPN Club closed permanently, and in its place, we got something that we love, the Cake Bake Shop by Gwendolyn Rogers. This restaurant is all about elegant decor, Instagram-worthy desserts, and a more refined dining experience. There are still several places to go to watch sports while at Disney World, like CityWorks Eatery & Pour House or several lounges around the Disney resorts. Read Our Review of Cake Bake Shop Here! ESPN Club Tokyo Dining EPCOT’s Japan Pavilion has always been a fantastic spot for unique dining, and Tokyo Dining was a go-to for sushi and tempura lovers. The restaurant had an elegant yet casual feel, making it a great option for those looking for a high-quality meal without a signature dining price tag. While Tokyo Dining has closed permanently, it has been replaced by Shiki Sai: Sushi Izakaya, which brings a new take on Japanese cuisine to EPCOT. Read Our Review of Shiki Sai: Shushi Izakaya Here! Tokyo Dining Shula’s Steak House At Disney World’s Dolphin Resort, Shula’s Steak House, named after the location’s original owner and American football great, the late Don Shula, closed in June 2025. We loved this restaurant for its large portions and delicious food. While it did close, another Steak House took its place, Bourbon Steak by Michael Mina. Read Our Review of Bourbon Steak Here! 23. Southwest Airlines has made a LOT of headlines recently, thanks to all the changes the airline has made. Most notably, the airline no longer offers free checked bags for everyone, and it’s completely changed its seating and boarding policies. Southwest Airlines Well, a NEW change is coming to Southwest Airlines, but this one is something we think most Southwest passengers will like. Southwest Airlines is getting faster Wi-Fi. That’s right. You’ll soon be able to enjoy fast Wi-Fi i on Southwest flights, thanks to Southwest’s new partnership with Starlink. Starlink will upgrade Southwest Airlines’ Wi-Fi allowing passengers to stream, share, and scroll at new lightning-fast speeds. Southwest also hopes to integrate it quickly, with the first Starlink-equipped aircraft going into service as early as this summer. By the end of 2026, Southwest plans to have Starlink on more than 300 planes. ©Southwest Airlines Starlink works by using more than 9,000 satelittes that orbit close to Earth. The technology supports in-flight entertainment, so you’ll be able to stream your favorite movies on Disney+, play video games, message friends and family back home, and more. If you need to get some work done, you’ll be able to download and upload at faster speeds. Southwest is the largest U.S. airline to offer free Wi-Fi to its Rapid Rewards members. ©Southwest Airlines “Free WiFi has been a huge hit with our Rapid Rewards Members, and we know our Customers expect seamless connectivity across all their devices when they travel,” said Tony Roach, Executive Vice President, Chief Customer & Brand Officer at Southwest Airlines. “Starlink delivers that at-home experience in the air, giving Customers the ability to stream their favorite shows from any platform, watch live sports, download music, play games, work, and connect with loved ones from takeoff to landing.” Southwest is also making more improvements to its planes by offering more seating choices, updating the cabin design with new seats, installing in-seat power for every seat, installing larger overhead bins, installing seatbacks with a personal electronic device holder, launching an extra legroom experience with enhanced snacks, and more. ©Southwest Airlines We’ll be keeping an eye out for more air travel news, so stay tuned to DFB for more. 3 Important Rules You Should Know Before Choosing Your Seat on Southwest Airlines Join the DFB Newsletter to get all the breaking news right in your inbox! 24. Disneyland is assembling the Avengers of Cast Members for this project! Avengers Campus Avengers Campus opened in Disney California Adventure back in 2021. The Marvel-themed land has unique attractions, dining, and entertainment, with even more exciting things coming when Disney announced plans to expand Avengers Campus! We’ve been keeping up with the construction of the project, and we have some more to show you. Some major progress is taking place at Avengers Campus right now. As you can see, the framework of one of the buildings is slowly but surely coming together! Construction at Avengers Campus! Last year, Disney was putting up the first vertical beam, and now they have this much done! They’ve come a long way so far. When the new area is complete, it will double the size of Avengers Campus and bring two new attractions — Avengers Infinity Defense and Stark Flight Lab — to the superhero-themed land. Look how much they’ve done! There are walls up around Avengers Campus, which sometimes does take away from the full experience, but so does looking at construction. Disney does the best they can at hiding the work they’re doing while maintaining that immersive feeling of being in a land, and they do a pretty good job! Walls are up at Avengers Campus! Something cool that we found out during this construction period is that Cast Members backstage got to sign a steel beam that will become a part of the expanded Avengers Campus at Disney California Adventure. It was posted by @disneylandresortpresident and @disneylandcastandcommunity on Instagram. @disneylandcastandcommunity via Instagram They said in the caption, “Cast Members left their mark on a project that will double the size of the land and bring more adventures to life. But what stood out most was the excitement and pride everyone brought to something that represents our future.” It’s such a cool opportunity that Disney allows these Cast Members who are hard at work to leave a mark on an attraction that will last forever. Disney recently did the same thing with Cast Members for the Pueblo Esperanza construction at Disney’s Animal Kingdom. @disneylandcastandcommunity via Instagram We seriously can’t wait for the new attractions to come to the park! Disney has described Avengers: Infinity Defense as, “Technology that allows the Avengers to jump between worlds has gone missing, and King Thanos is using it to wreak havoc everywhere. Recruits will travel to iconic locations like Asgard, Wakanda, and New York City alongside the likes of big and small heroes. You also just might find yourself face-to-face with King Thanos, too.” Avengers: Infinity Defense will have guests join in battle across the multiverse alongside the Avengers to defeat King Thanos and recover stolen Stark technology. As for the Stark Flight Lab attraction, Robert Downey Jr. will reprise his role as Tony Stark, and guests will “sit in two-person pods and deploy to a test station. Then a robot arm grabs your pod and starts whirling you around in a simulated flight.” Stark Flight Lab will train guests to fly using new flight technology from Tony Stark’s workshop. ©Disney There hasn’t been an announcement as to when the opening date for the expansion will be. We’ll be keeping a close eye out for any updates, and we’ll continue to follow along with the construction progress. 25. I’m about to say something controversial to the Disney World fans out there…sometimes a Disney cruise can be BETTER than a theme park vacation! Disney Treasure It’s a completely different vibe from Disney World, yes, and sometimes that vibe works SO much better for your family. Today, we’re breaking down the perks that could make a Disney Cruise Line vacation better than a trip to Disney World. The Food Situation We’ve got to start off this list by discussing one of our favorite things…Disney food! And let’s be honest here, the food situation on Disney Cruise Line is WAY less stressful than it is in Disney World. On a Disney Cruise, you’ll be automatically assigned a rotational dining time, and at that time, you just show up at the evening’s scheduled restaurant, and there will be a table ready for you. Arendelle — a Frozen Dining Adventure The restaurants vary in theme and experience (and sometimes in quality), but you’ll usually get a lovely sit-down meal in a fun atmosphere. Each of the Disney Cruise Line ships also has at least one rotational dining restaurant that offers a dinner show or interactive experience. You’ll be seated with the same people each night (you may have to sit with another party if you’re in a smaller group) and served by the same wait staff. By the end of the cruise, your servers will likely know your name AND your beverage order, which never ceases to amaze us. Worlds of Marvel There are also buffet restaurants on each ship that are open for all three meals, as well as quick order-at-the-counter spots on the pool decks. Each ship is also home to at least one fancy dining experience available to reserve in advance. If you want to eat during your cruise, you can pretty much do so at any hour of the day! FULL REVIEW of Pride Lands: Feast of the Lion King Restaurant on the Disney Destiny Not Having to Be on Your Phone Constantly One thing that has gotten annoying if you’ve been to Disney World in the past 5-10 years is that you have to be on your phone seemingly ALL THE TIME. From navigating the increasingly complex Lightning Lane system to checking wait times to Mobile Ordering food, there are a multitude of reasons to use the My Disney Experience app throughout the day. ©Disney Cruise Line But on a Disney cruise? You can put your phone away for a little bit! When cruising for vacation, our team typically only uses our phones to check the schedules in the Disney Cruise Line Navigator app or to message other members of our party. Outside of that, it’s a lovely phone-free vacation, folks! Disney Cruise Line Just Changed a Rule — And Fans Are Gonna LOVE It! Room Service We could’ve included this in the dining point above, but we figured it needed its own separate mention. On a Disney cruise, there is 24/7 room service available, you guys! And the best news? Most of the items on the menu are included in your cruise cost. Cheers to your Disney cruise! One of the best room service features is continental breakfast, which is available daily from 7AM to 10AM. You can order either by placing the room service order card outside your room before 3AM or by calling the room service line from your stateroom phone during the hours of service. For room service, the other 21 hours of the day, simply order from the phone in your stateroom. 3 Nights vs. 7 Nights: The Harsh Truth About Which Disney Cruise Is Better Legitimately Traveling the World As much as we love exploring the World Showcase at EPCOT and experiencing the cultures of other countries in a modified version, actually traveling the world is better. The greatest joy of a Disney cruise is that you can get all that Disney magic while actually sailing to other countries and setting foot in new places during your port days. Disney’s Nassau Port in the Bahamas In each of these locations, you’re not required to get off the ship, but if you do, you can explore on your own or book a port adventure. Port adventures can be adventure-based, cultural, food-related, or historical in nature…whatever fits your desires most! Disney Destiny vs. Disney Treasure: Which Cruise Ship Has Better Destinations? More Flexibility with Kids In recent years, it seems that more and more parents of small children are choosing Disney Cruise Line vacations. Why? There’s SO much flexibility for your littles! Instead of feeling like you have to rope drop the parks and stay until fireworks, you can plan your entire day — and even your entire trip — to fit around your kids’ schedules. The slide leading to the Oceaneer Club on the Disney Treasure Need to take a midday nap? Great! Your stateroom is right there, and if you book a Verandah room, the grownups can sit on the balcony and read, relax, or enjoy the waves. Want to meet characters? Awesome! You can book offerings like the Royal Gathering through the Disney Cruise Line Navigator app and schedule those things in advance to fit your plans. Tiana! And perhaps the best part of a Disney cruise for kids is the kids’ clubs! They have the Oceaneer Club for little kids, as well as Edge and Vibe for tweens and teens. Drop your children off at these spaces dedicated just for them, and you’ll get the chance to have some adults-only time throughout your trip. Vibe Teen Club on the Disney Wish For your tiny tots, Disney Cruise Line ships also have the “it’s a small world” Nursery, which is a paid offering that can be reserved in advance for those under age 3. Disney Cruise Line Just Dropped Its 2027 Itineraries And Fans Are Gonna Love Them The Ability to Relax Guilt-Free Finally, we’ve got to mention one of our favorite parts about a Disney cruise — getting to relax guilt-free! When you’re in Disney World, there’s this unspoken pressure to “do it all,” running from ride to ride, trying to make the most of your Lightning Lanes and your park tickets purchased for each day of your trip. A big benefit of a cruise is that there’s less to do (limited by the size of the ship), and that gives you real time to relax. AquaMouse It’s a lot easier to accomplish everything you’d like to do on a cruise, especially if you book a longer one. But with pools aplenty, a spa, lounges, snacks abounding, and a cozy stateroom at sea, you can quell the need to relax just as easily. A view of the room from the verandah Did that convince you to book a Disney cruise? It sure convinced me! If you’re in need of some relaxation, this kind of vacation is just the ticket.
