  1. We’re ALWAYS excited for new dining options in Disney Springs. ©Everglazed Disney Springs recently announced an all-new dining concept that’s coming soon to Disney Springs! Not much is known about Everglazed Donuts & Cold Brew but we might have just found a hint as to WHERE this new donut shop will be located! We were checking out Disney’s building permit filings, as we are wont to do, when we spotted one with Everglazed listed a the Lessee! The permit is for “interior build-out, exterior renovation, and exterior trellis.” Oooh — this spot’s getting a trellis! Everglazed Permit The most interesting information with this permit is the address. The location of Everglazed has not been announced, but the address listed on this permit is filed to Pop Gallery on the West Side of Disney Springs! Will this spot be closing to make way for some circular treats? We’re not sure! ©Pop Gallery We’ll be keeping a close eye out for any news about Everglazed! Keep an eye on DFB for all of the latest updates! Click here to learn more about Everglazed Donuts & Cold Brew! Are you excited about the opening of Everglazed? Tell us in the comments! 6. The 2020 Taste of EPCOT International Food & Wine Festival is upon us! We’ve got an extra-long festival season in store this year to take in the sights, sounds, and TASTES of our favorite EPCOT festival! Taste of EPCOT International Food & Wine Festival No surprise here, but we’re most concerned with the TASTES! This year, the festival features 20 Festival Marketplaces, each with a menu full of specialty eats and drinks. We’ve eaten our way around the World (Showcase) and back again — and we have some thoughts. We know how hard it can be to decide what to eat when you’re headed to an EPCOT fest! With that in mind, we’ve eaten our way through ALL of the options at the 20 marketplaces AND additional locations to bring you the absolute best of the best. Not to come across as pushy, but we think there are just some snacks you just NEED to try at Taste of EPCOT Food & Wine! World Showplace Hold on to your hats, folks! Without further ado, here’s the Best of the Fest for the 2020 Taste of EPCOT Food & Wine Festival! Click here to see PICS of EVERY SINGLE menu item at Food & Wine! Mongolian Beef Bao Bun at China China’s menu was a lot smaller than we’ve come to expect at past festivals, but the Mongolian Beef Bao Bun for $6.75 didn’t disappoint. Mongolian Beef Bao Bun The Beef was juicy and tender while Mixed Veggies were still nice and crispy and the Bao was perfectly soft. Our only grievance was how quickly it was gone since it only takes a few bites to make it disappear! Check out our full review of China’s menu here! Schinkennudeln at Germany Aside from bratwurst and beer, Germany was serving up another festival staple — the Schinkennudeln! It’s not much of a looker and has a bit of a funny name to say, but trust us on this one! We’ve been Schinkennudeln-ing for many ‘a year! Schinkennudeln For $4.25, you’ll receive this massive brick of Pasta Gratin with Ham, Onions, and Cheese. It’s basically the cornerstone of our Food and Wine Festival diet at EPCOT. Since it’s so densely rich and cheesy, we suggest enlisting the help of a friend or family member so you can divide and conquer the Schinkennudeln together! Get our full review of Germany booth’s food and beverages here! Mimosas at Shimmering Sips Mimosa Bar We were super excited to see Shimmering Sips Mimosa Bar made the cut the year — not only are their drinks super pretty, but they’re pretty delicious too! And did you know their Tropical Mimosa is made with Passion Fruit, Orange, and Guava juices? It’s a literal POG Mimosa! Key Lime, Blood Orange, and Tropical Mimosas But you really can’t go wrong with any of their Mimosas! We highly recommend sampling their Key Lime Mimosa with Key Lime Sparkling Wine and Cranberry Juice as well as their Blood Orange Mimosa with Sparkling Wine and Blood Orange Juice! All their Mimosas cost $6 each, no matter which flavor you get! Check out our complete review of everything on the menu at Shimmering Sips HERE! Canard Confit à l’Orange at France Fans of EPCOT’s Flower and Garden food booth Fleur de Lys should start quacking their way over to France! The Canard Confit à l’Orange has returned for Food and Wine time! Canard Confit The Braised Duck Confit à l’Orange is super tender and juicy, served over a warm bed of mashed sweet potatoes. We’re drooling just thinking about! Pick up this delight for $6.25. Tarte aux Oignons Caramelises et Chévre at France France coming in with TWO fest favs! The Tarte aux Oignons Caramelises et Chévre for $5.50 has found its way to A Taste of EPCOT after first introducing itself at EPCOT’s Flower and Garden Fest! Tarte aux Oignons Caramelises et Chévre: Goat Cheese Tart with Caramelized Onions on a Flaky Pastry Crust This goat cheese tart has stacks upon STACKS of super flaky crust! Plus the caramelized onions bring such a nice flavor and texture to this gorgeous square of deliciousness. Do NOT pass this one up! See what other goodies France is serving up here! Kalua Pork Slider at Hawai’i ALOHA! We’re doing the hula dance now that we’ve had our first of MANY Kalua Pork Sliders of the Festival! Kahlua Pork Slider For $5.25, you’ll get one of these pulled-porky bad boys served with a sweet-and-sour DOLE pineapple chutney and spicy mayonnaise. This has basically become a festival essential since it was first introduced and for good reason. It’s that sweet and spicy combo that always keeps us coming back for more. Aulani Sunrise at Hawai’i And to wash down our Kalua Pork Sliders there’s a brand new beverage option at the Hawai’i booth. It’s called the Aulani Sunrise in homage to Disney’s Hawaiian resort! Boy, we could use a little island getaway right about now! Aulani Sunrise The Aulani Sunrise is made with vodka, DOLE Pineapple Juice, and grenadine and costs $14. This drink was definitely sweet, but not too overpowering, plus it’s served in a really cool-looking tiki cup that you get to keep! We’re never one to turn down a souvenir cup, especially when it’s this fun! Read our full review of the Hawai’i food booth here! Pork Tostada at Mexico Mexico is usually one of our favorite booths at Epcot’s Food and Wine Festival and their Pork Tostada for $6.75 was our favorite dish this year! That means you probably don’t want to skip this one! It’s just so tasty! Pork Tostada The fried corn tortilla had a nice crispiness to it while the roasted pork was melt-in-your-mouth tender! It’s served street-style with Chipotle Black Beans, Fresh Salsa Verde, Onions, and Cilantro. If you inherited the soapy-cilantro flavor tastebuds you might want to ask for yours sans cilantro, but otherwise, this was a slam dunk! Clásica Margarita at Mexico And for us, it’s a crime to eat tacos without a margarita! Luckily, Mexico has a couple of different options to choose from depending on how smoky you like to go. We preferred their Clásica Margarita for $10.75 made with Tequila, Chile Poblano Liqueur, Lime Juice, and Agave Nectar with a Salt Rim. Clasica Margarita It’s crisp, clean, and pretty straight-forward with a slight spice to it from the chile-poblano liqueur. If you’re not a fan of salted rims, you can ask for it without. And if you’re more into Mezcal margs, give their Mango Smoky Margarita. For our palettes, the classic margarita went down better! We went a little loco at Mexico’s food booth this year! Check out our full review here! Chirashi Sushi Flowerpot at Japan Frothy Ramen has reappeared this year at Japan’s booth, but so has this variation of the Flower and Garden’s Salmon Flower Ikura! Chirashi Sushi Flowerpot The presentation is a little bit different as you can see. The Fresh-cut Salmon is now chopped up instead of rolled up like a flower, making it a little less pretty, but a lot easier to eat. The other ingredients included are Salmon Roe and Spinach and instead of Chilled Ramen at the bottom, it’s served over Sushi Rice with Furikake and Poke Sauce. There’s also no Watermelon Radish, but it’s still being served in an adorable flower pot and we actually liked the rice better than noodles! Still, if you’re not a fan of raw fish, you might want to sit this one out. Furano Martini at Japan One of our favorite Hanami Flower and Garden cocktails has also returned. We first laid lips on the Furano Martini last March and it was LOVE at first sip! Furano Martini It’s made with Vodka, Lavender Syrup, and Yuzu Juice, and for $7.50 we were wowed by how complex this drink tasted. It’s not TOO overwhelmingly floral, but that flowery taste is very much there. We happen to think it was really complex and fun! Click here to read our review of Japan’s eats and drinks! Gourmet Macaroni and Cheese at Mac and Cheese, Hosted by Boursin Heaven must have FINALLY heard our call! We’ve been hoping for more ways to cram mac and cheese into our mouths and this year there’s a brand new food booth dedicated to doing exactly THAT! A whole booth of mac and cheese!! This Gourmet Macaroni & Cheese served with Boursin Garlic and Fine Herbs Cheese Sauce and topped with Herbed Panko for $4.50 was one of the BEST by far! Gourmet Macaroni and Cheese with Boursin® Garlic and Fine Herbs Cheese topped with Herbed Panko Maybe it’s because it came with a giant GLOB of Boursin cheese as a SIDE? Could it have been that? Yeah, probably! Buffalo Chicken Macaroni and Cheese at Mac and Cheese, Hosted by Boursin And if you’re wanting to spice your mac and cheese routine up, go for the Buffalo Chicken Macaroni & Cheese for $5.50. Buffalo Chicken Macaroni and Cheese with Boursin® Garlic and Fine Herbs Cheese Sauce topped with Carrots, Celery, and Blue Cheese Crumbles This one’s a little more complex and it’s made with Boursin Garlic and Fine Herbs Cheese Sauce topped with Carrots, Celery, and Blue Cheese Crumbles. While we could’ve used a lot more buffalo sauce, it was still super yummy! Read our full review of the Mac and Cheese booth’s cheesy offerings here! Parish Brewing Co. Ghost in the Machine Double IPA at Appleseed Orchard And we gotta mention one of our favorite festival BREWS! Appleseed Orchard is back for its second year and has brought back their Ghost in the Machine Double IPA! 6oz. glasses are $4.50 while 12oz. glasses cost $8.50. Parish Brewing Co. Ghost in the Machine Double IPA Unfortunately, none of the booths are doing beer flights this year, so we wanted you to know which beers we liked BEST! If you’re into IPAs, definitely give this one a try! Check out our full review of Appleseed Orchard here! Collective Arts Brewing Blackberry Fruit Beer at Canada Another beer we’re BIG fans of this year is the Collective Arts Brewing Blackberry Fruit Beer! If you’re into hard ciders or fruiter beers, give it a shot! Collective Arts Brewing Blackberry Fruit Beer It has sweet, tart finish and comes in two sizes — a 6 oz. cup will cost ya $4.50 while a 12 oz. cup goes for $8.50. Canadian Cheddar Cheese and Bacon Soup Served with a Pretzel Roll at Canada And since we’re in this neck of the woods, we have to get our beloved Canadian Cheddar Cheese and Bacon Soup at the Canada booth for $5.25. At least, that’s how strongly we feel about the Cheddar Cheese Soup at Le Cellier in the Canada Pavilion. Canadian Cheddar Cheese Soup with Pretzel Roll This soup has been at the festival seemingly FOREVER (ok, not THAT long, but it’s VERY popular!). We love this cheddar soup so much, we’d marry it if we could! The pretzel roll can be the ring bearer. Click here to see everything the Canada Booth is cooking up! Crispy Citrus Chicken with Orange Aïoli and Baby Greens at Citrus Blossom An entire food booth from Flower and Garden has sprouted back up at A Taste of EPCOT Food and Wine and it’s brought a bunch of its Orange buddies back with it! You won’t want to miss some of its best of the fest eats from the Spring like the Crispy Citrus Chicken with Orange Aïoli and Baby Greens for $5.75 Crispy Citrus Chicken It’s a gluten-free offering, which sometimes translates to “sog fest” when it comes to breading, but the crunch factor is THERE! Plus the fresh baby greens and zingy aïoli make for the perfect bite when you mix them all together! Orange Cream Shake in a Souvenir Orange Bird Sipper Cup at Citrus Blossom And look who’s also RSVPed to A Taste of EPCOT’s par-tay! It’s the one and only Orange Bird Sipper! He’s back again and he’s still filled with the yummy non-alcoholic Orange Cream Shake! Take this little cutie home with you for $15.00! Orange Bird Sipper We’ve also seen the Spike the Bee Sipper buzzing around the Food and Wine Festival too (find him over at the Refreshment Outpost!), although Honey-Peach Freeze drink he came with back in March has flown away in exchange for a frozen Coke or Minute Maid slushy. Read our full review of Citrus Blossom here! Seafood Fisherman’s Pie at Wine and Dine Featuring Festival Favorites If you fancy some seafood, you’ll want to head over to Wine and Dine Studio! This food booth is serving up some hits from Food and Wine festivals of yesteryear like this Seafood Fisherman’s Pie for $6.50 that Ireland’s food booth used to serve. Seafood Fisherman’s Pie We wouldn’t recommend it unless you really, REALLY love you some seafood though since it’s very fish-forward. Tucked under that golden pile of mashed potatoes are shrimp (ours had two large ones), chunks of lobster, and delicious scallops. We’ll be dropping by to get this one again soon. Check out our full Wine and Dine Featuring Festival Classics review here! Piri Piri Skewered Shrimp at Africa One look at this dish had our mouths watering. After all, Africa is a booth KNOWN for bringing the flavor. The Piri Piri Skewered Shrimp was NO EXCEPTION. This dish was a perfect blend of spices with a surprising and delicious flavor profile to boot. Piri Piri Skewered Shrimp with Citrus-scented Couscous You can try the Shrimp Skewers for $6.75 and trust us, you’re gonna want to give it a shot. Plus, with a portion size this HUGE, it just might be the ONLY thing you’d need to eat at the festival — or you can share it! Click here for our FULL REVIEW of the Africa Booth! Beef Kefta Pocket from Morocco Speaking of flavor, this pick is a BIG WINNER for us. The Beef Kefta Pocket from Morocco for $9 was honestly the BOMB. When you snag this festival favorite, get ready for another SUPER filling portion and a flavor explosion. Beef Kefta Pocket We couldn’t stop eating this. It had a lot more flavor than we’ve come to expect from most festival items with a little bit of heat and a whole lot of spice. We will note that ours was just the tiniest bit dry, so your mileage may vary. Still, those flavors made it WORTH IT. Click here for our FULL REVIEW of the Morocco booth! Additional Locations Street Corn Funnel Cake at Funnel Cakes Listen, we NEVER would have thought to throw corn, cheese, cilantro, and crema on a funnel cake — but we are SO GLAD someone did! The Street Corn Funnel Cake from the Funnel Cake stand was almost immediately crowned one of our Best of the Fest contenders seconds after taking a bite, and we stand by that decision. Street Corn Funnel Cake The flavors of this dish melded in a way that was totally unexpected and the texture of the funnel cake was just the right mix of soft and crisp. Seriously, the first word that comes to mind when we think about this dish is GREAT. You can give it a try for $9! For our FULL REVIEW of the Street Corn Funnel Cake! Tropical Breeze from Joffrey’s in The American Adventure Pavilion This drink costs $11.99 and it’s the perfect palette cleanser after a long day of eating! We first tried it at Flower and Garden (along with the other three specialty cocktails that are scattered throughout the parks at the various Joffrey’s locations)! Tropical Breeze The Tropical Breeze was still out top pick, though! This slushy is made with lemon, coconut syrup, and pineapple rum! If you need some refreshment, seek this one out! Click here to see our review of ALL the Joffrey’s specialty drinks! BEST Booth of the FEST We’re going to take things one step further and give you our picks for the BEST of the booths at the fest. If you only have time to swing by a couple of spots, we think they should be THESE! France Not much has changed on the menu at France since this food booth decided to bring back most of its 2020 Flower and Garden Festival offerings for A Taste of EPCOT International Food and Wine Festival. Not that we mind it one bit! France France was a close best of the fest runner-up for best food booth back in March behind Japan, and since Japan has switched up its festival offerings a bit, we’re tipping the scales in favor of France. We already have two picks on the Best of the Fest list from this booth, and that was being picky and leaving off other favorites like the La Vie En Rose Slushy! It really has some incredible items that we didn’t realize how much we’d missed them until we got to have them again! Click here to read our full review of France’s booth! Runners-Up for Best Booth of the Fest Hawai’i We definitely know why Hawai’i was one of the first food booths Disney told us would be returning this year — it’s a fan favorite and even better this year thanks to the Aulani Sunrise! 2020 Hawai’i Food Booth But you really can’t go wrong with ANYTHING on the menu here — especially if you make the Kalua Pork Slider a sidekick to whatever else you’re ordering. Oh yea, did we mention they have a delicious Teriyaki-Glazed SPAM Hash, pineapple beer, AND pineapple wine TOO? Click here to see everything at the Hawai’i Booth Mexico And once again, Mexico can do no wrong when it comes to EPCOT festival eats. Mexico You can choose from two stellar margs and two delicious taco and tostada options along with a delightful sangria and Mexican beer. From its beautiful drinks to its packed-with-flavor eats, we often start and end our trek around the World Showcase at Mexico. Click here to see why we love the Mexico Booth! Mac and Cheese, Hosted by Boursin It would be a little off-brand for us not to give Mac and Cheese some props since this booth was practically MADE for us cheese and carb lovers! There are still a few kinks to work out, but we’ll never turn our noses up at a menu that consists of nothing but mac and CHEESE! ALL the Mac and Cheese They also have a few beverages that didn’t let us down either. So between mac and cheese and wine, we’ve got all our basic food groups covered with this new food booth! Click here to see all the cheesy goodness happening at the Mac and Cheese Booth! Best of the Fest for Kids Liquid Nitro Chocolate Cake Pops at Desserts and Champagne Don’t let its rather grown-up sounding name fool you — Desserts and Champagne has one of the most kid-friendly festival offerings we’ve found! Adults will really get a kick out of these Liquid Nitro Chocolate Cake Pops as well! Liquid Nitro Cake Pops You can get them with crumbles of Twix Chocolate Bars, M&Ms, or just plain for $4 each! Nothing says festival like food on a STICK! Plus, mom and dad can sip some bubbly in between stealing bites of their kids’ treats! Check out our full review of the Desserts and Champagne food booth here! Instagram Winner Bleu Spectrum at Wine and Dine Featuring Festival Favorites Last but not least, you’ll need to know which item to post on social! The Blue Spectrum first debuted at Light Lab and now it’s BACK! Bleu Spectrum Flavor-wise, you’ll find this drink just tastes like champagne with some boba pearls mixed in, but once it’s poured you can watch the beads float around in the Blanc de Bleu Cuvée Mousseux! It’s a beautiful show for $9! 2020 Taste of EPCOT Food and Wine Festival Find this blue stunner over at the Wine and Dine Festival Favorites Booth in World Showplace! Click here for our review of the Festival Favorites Booth! Phew! It just might be time for a food-fueled nap! We love us an EPCOT festival and, despite the modifications, A Taste of EPCOT Food & Wine Festival did not let us down! The best part? This festival is sticking around for a few more months so we’ll have plenty of chances to grab seconds (and thirds!) of all our favorites. 7. After four months, EPCOT finally reopened today to guests! Future World Construction In addition to the launch of the Taste of EPCOT International Food & Wine Festival and ALL of the delicious food booths, there’s more new stuff to see at EPCOT. Oh yeah, baby, we’re talking merch!! While strolling through World Showcase today, you know we sipped on tequila in Mexico and tried the Kalua Pork Sliders at the Hawaii booth, but we also stopped by the Canada Pavilion to see what’s new! Canada Pavilion And there was a TON of new merch!! Let’s see what you can get to represent the Great White North! Canada merchandise at EPCOT’s grand reopening The first new Canada merch we spotted were Canada Minnie Mouse ears. These $29.99 ears feature the Canadian flags on the ears and a red-and-white striped bow with hockey stick accents. Minnie Mouse Canada ears And because no trip to the Canada pavilion is complete without a beer (or two), there’s a Tervis beer mug with a lid, featuring icons of the Canada pavilion, such as a moose, totem pole, buildings, and a jug of maple syrup. The beer mug with lid is $26.99. Beer mug Tervis at EPCOT If a Tervis tumbler isn’t your thing, Canada also has a wooden-looking water bottle with Goofy, Mickey Mouse, and Donald Duck for $29.99… Canada water bottle at EPCOT …And a Tervis with a straw. If you’re not into drinking and more in to sports, the Canada pavilion has you covered with a Mickey Mouse hockey jersey. But if sports aren’t your thing, represent the Pacific Northwest with a blue-gray Canada T-shirt featuring Mickey, Goofy, Donald, Chip and Dale in a lake! Canada T-shirt at EPCOT There’s also a fun new shirt with Goofy, Mickey, and Donald Duck recreating the Canada totem pole with the phrase “Canada: The spirit of the Pacific Northwest.” This cozy tee if $24.99. 8. There’s no denying that Pop Century just might be the raddest resort in all of Walt Disney World, filled with nostalgic symbols and theming. Disney’s Pop Century Resort So, it only makes sense that while we’re staying at Pop Century on the day of Epcot and Hollywood Studios’ grand reopenings, that we spotted some super stellar, totally colorful new merch! While browsing Everything POP, we saw some super cool NEW tie-dye Mickey Mouse and Tinkerbell T-shirts! Everything Pop The first new shirt we spotted featured everyone’s favorite fairy, Pop Century! The Peter Pan troublemaker is featured on a blue-gray tee waving her little wand in front of a bright, colorful rainbow. Walt Disney World is written underneath Tink in a curly font. Tinkerbell T-shirt at Everything Pop The new Tinkerbell T-shirt is $24.99! Tinkerbell T-shirt Disney has rolled out TONS of new tie-dye merch this summer, but there are two groovy new shirts available now! The first is a classic tee featuring a navy Mickey Mouse. 9. The Taste of EPCOT International Food and Wine Festival is finally here! Joffrey’s Coffee in EPCOT We’ve been working our way around the festival’s marketplaces to see what food and wine we can find! But now we’re heading to Joffrey’s to see what special offerings they’ve got in store for us! Normally, we’d grab a quick cold brew or iced tea from one of the four different Joffrey’s locations at EPCOT. But since this is a culinary celebration, Joffrey’s is mixing up four unique cocktails for the special occasion! Orange Splash Each Joffrey’s kiosk is pouring out its own delicious concoction, so if you want to try them all, make sure you’re wearing some comfortable shoes and lots of sunblock! All four beverages are frozen alcoholic cocktails and no matter which one you’re getting, it will cost ya $11.99. Beverages At the American Adventure Joffrey’s, the Tropical Breeze from EPCOT’s Flower and Garden Festival has stayed. We loved the drink when we tried it back in March. You’ll get some tartness from the Frozen Lemon, but lots of sweet notes from the coconut syrup and pineapple rum! Tropical Breeze At Joffrey’s in Canada, the Orange Splash can be found. This time, the Frozen Lemon-based drink is mixed with orange vodka! This drink also debuted during EPCOT’s Flower and Garden Festival, back has bought itself a little more time! We love the tartness of this one — perfect to enjoy if you didn’t get your orange fix at The Citrus Blossom which has also returned! Orange Splash Over at the Odyssey Joffrey’s location, you can pick up the Passion Flower! Hey, wait a sec — this drink is also from EPCOT’s Flower and Garden Festival! Actually, all FOUR of Joffrey’s Flower and Garden specialty cocktails have returned since folks didn’t get the chance to try them last spring! This one is frozen passion fruit and tea infused with lemon vodka and has the smoothest flavor of the four drinks! If you enjoy a nice glass of sweet tea, pick this one up! Passion Flower Future World East will be mixing up the Spring Berry Bliss, a frozen strawberry and coconut syrup topped with raspberry vodka. Of the four, this one was our least favorite. It’s not that it’s bad — it’s just the other three are super-yummy! Spring Berry Bliss And there you have it — four solid Joffrey’s specialty drinks that remarkable AREN’T coffee-related, but still worth a try! We’ll be continuing our live coverage from the Taste of EPCOT International Food and Wine Festival all day long, so make sure you follow along here! Check out our LIVE coverage from the grand reopening day happening at Disney’s Hollywood Studios HERE! Are you a fan of Joffrey’s? 10. Greetings from A Taste of Food and Wine, the modified EPCOT International Food and Wine Festival for 2020! a Taste of EPCOT International Food and Wine Festival We’ve hopped around World Showcase to check out this year’s food and beverage offerings, including Food and Wine favorites from years past in Japan (with our beloved Frothy Ramen!) and some special items from Flower and Garden Festival! Today, we traveled over to the Brazil Booth to see what was cooking! The Brazil Booth is located between the Morocco and France Pavilions. 2020 Booth Brazil has a smaller menu this year, with a BIG omission from last year! The Moqueca Brazilian Seafood Stew was among the Best of the Fest last year, but it did NOT return this year! Cue our tears. 2020 Menu The other two dishes offered at the Brazil Booth are returning items! The Crispy Pork Belly has been around for AGES, so fans of this dish will be delighted to see its return this year. It costs $6. Crispy Pork Belly with Black Beans, Tomato, and Cilantro The Pão de Queijo ($4.50) also returned, much to the delight of cheese lovers everywhere. This Brazilian Cheese Bread makes us want to go on another Cheese Crawl… Pão de Queijo The Brazil Booth also features two beverages for purchase: the M.I.A. Beer Company Barbossa Black Beer ($4.50 for a 6 ounce pour or $8.50 for a 12oz pour) and the Frozen Caipirinha featuring LeBlon Cachaça for $11. 11. We’re tasting our way around all of the booths at the 2020 EPCOT Food & Wine Festival! Africa From Mac & Cheese to Desserts and Champagne, we’re on a mission to taste all the eats the 2020 Food & Wine Festival has to offer! And now, we’re headed to the Africa booth to see whether the options are as delicious as last year! Menu The Africa booth has a small menu with just two food items and two drinks. But, hey, the saying is quality over quantity! Africa Menu Unfortunately, one of our absolute FAVORITE items from last year — the Kenyan Coffee Barbecue Beef Tenderloin — isn’t returning this year. But let’s see how this year’s eats hold up! Check out the menus from all of the booths at this year’s Food & Wine Festival! Food First, we tried the Spicy Kenyan Vegan Corn and White Beans for $4.50. This dish is served with Pigeon Peas, Quinoa, Ancient Grains Medley, and Kachumbari Slaw. May we just say, HOLY MOLY. This dish had so much flavor, we wouldn’t even have known it was vegan if we hadn’t seen the menu first — and we LOVE our meat and dairy! Spicy Kenyan Vegan Corn and White Beans Next, we sampled the item that sounded REALLY good. The Piri Piri Skewered Shrimp is served with Citrus-scented Couscous and you can get it for $6.75. Look at that portion size for the price! Pretty solid. Piri Piri Skewered Shrimp with Citrus-scented Couscous Alright, we’re gonna say it. This dish just might make our BEST of the FEST. WOW! All of the different flavors married like a dream and the portion was the perfect size for a heavy snack or a light meal. Piri Piri Skewered Shrimp with Citrus-scented Couscous Plus, look at how PRETTY it is! Drinks Of course, there are some tasty drinks to wash down your DELISH dishes, too! You can snag the Tusker Lager in a 6 oz pour ($4.50) or a 12 oz pour ($8.50), or a glass of Jam Jar Sweet Shiraz from Western Cape for $5. Check out our review of the nearby Germany booth featuring beer and bratwurst! Overall The Africa booth is a winner for us AGAIN this year! Honestly, this might be the most underrated booth at the whole festival. We were blown away by both of the menu items they’re serving up this year! Trust us, we’ll be back for more of that shrimp! Here are all the NEW menu items at this year’s Food & Wine Festival! Which menu item from the Africa booth are you the most excited to try?? Let us know in the comments! Related posts: Review! 12. Today was the grand reopening of EPCOT! After a week of exploring Magic Kingdom and Animal Kingdom, we’ve been busy tasting our way around World Showcase for the first time since March. And there is PLENTY to taste, with “A Taste of Food and Wine” officially kicked off! La Cava del Tequila And when we visit World Showcase, one of our favorite gems to stop at is La Cava del Tequila. So once we knew EPCOT was reopening, we immediately penciled in a trip to the Mexico Pavilion to see how the new health and safety measurements would be implemented. You may recall the fun mixology classes happening on La Cava’s Instagram during the park closures. It made us miss this cozy corner of the Mexico Pavilion even more, so we were very much looking forward to poking our heads inside and see what was new! When we stepped into La Cava del Tequila, however, we immediately noticed a HUGE difference. La Cava del Tequila The tables are GONE! During this phased reopening, it seems like La Cava del Tequila will NOT be a dine-in experience. Drinks are ordered at the bar and are to-go only. A limited menu is available to look at when you get in line, or you can scan the QR code with your phone to view the full menu currently available. Many of La Cava’s featured margaritas are available, including Neil Patrick Harris’ Black Magic Margarita. La Cava del Tequila menu The line wraps around the perimeter of the dining room and comes back around the standing tables, which are still in place. La Cava del Tequila line Physical distancing markers are on the floor to assist guests while they wait. La Cava del Tequila As we approached the bar, we spotted plexiglass shields between Cast Members and guests. Additional floor markers were present to separate travel parties as they ordered. La Cava del Tequila Hand sanitizer was readily available at the bar. An additional QR code was also available to double-check the menu before ordering! La Cava del Tequila All of the margaritas available for purchase are pre-made. Tequila shots are also available for purchase, which come served on the rocks and mixed with club soda. For food, guacamole is available to go! Sorry guys, you can’t grab any of their amazing queso for now! Pre-made margaritas at La Cava del Tequila So, what did we order? Well, you may have remembered a short while ago, we shared that The Rock was bringing his new Teremana tequila to La Cava! The Rock & his Teremana tequila It appears twice on La Cava’s menu, Teremana blanco ($13.00) and Teremana reposado ($14.00). Went ahead and ordered it, and it was served over ice, presented as a beautiful palm tree made out of lime wedges! Teremana blanco We THOROUGHLY enjoyed our Rock tequila…on the ROCKS. Teremana blanco We were stoked when we learned The Rock, star of the upcoming Jungle Book film, was bringing his own tequila to Disney World! Give it a try next time you’re in EPCOT and you’ll find yourselves thanking us for the recommendation! Don’t worry, we’ll beat you to the punch…“You’re welcome!” Heading to EPCOT soon? 13. After a long day of snacking around the 2020 Epcot Food and Wine Festival, sometimes you can’t help but crave a healthy dish or two. (You’ve got to get those fruits and veggies in somehow!) Earth Eats And, it’s a good thing that Earth Eats is back with plant-based items that your whole group will enjoy. Oh, and did we mention that there are SO MANY featured eats and drinks brought back from the Flower and Garden Festival at the booth this year?? A Taste of Epcot International Food and Wine Festival will be featuring a few hits (like the character topiaries and Spike the Bee Sipper and Spork) from the Flower and Garden Festival that was cut short during the closures. So, it shouldn’t come as too much of a surprise that Earth Eats would be incorporating a few treats from Trowel and Trellis (Flower and Garden’s resident plant-based booth) on the menu! Earth Eats Menu While The Impossible Burger Slider with Wasabi Cream and spicy Asian Slaw on a Sesame Seed Bun has returned again for $5.25… Impossible Burger Slider We thought the slider was pretty good! It’s definitely a solid choice for our vegan and vegetarian friends. Our criticism is that the meat is a little too salty for our taste. We suggest downing it with some water if you’re eating it on a hot day! IMPOSSIBLE Burger Slider …Earth Eats has replaced the Impossible Cottage Pie from last year with the Impossible Farmhouse Meatball this year! The sandwich is piled with Spinach, Marinated Vegetables, and Creamy Herb Dressing on Lentil Bread for $5.75. This was another returning pick from Flower nad Garden! Farmhouse Meatball with Lentil Bread, Spinach, Marinated Vegetables, Creamy Herb Dressing And, you can wrap up your Impossible meat feast with a dessert all the way from Trowel and Trellis! The plant-based and gluten free Chocolate Pudding Terrarium is back with all that Avocado Cream, Matcha Crumble, and Baby Herbs that’s just as delicious as it is cute for $5.25! Chocolate Pudding Terrarium We’ve got some BIG news! Earth Eats has replaced its suja drinks from previous years to feature an array of sips from the Flower and Garden Festival too! You can indulge yourself with the Bloomin’ Blueberry Lemon and Ginger Tea featuring Twinings of London® (which is non-alcoholic) for $4.50… Bloomin’ Blueberry Lemon and Ginger Tea …the Playalinda Brewing Company Violet Lemonade Ale, Titusville, FL for a 6 oz for $4.50 or a 12 oz cup for $8.50… Playalinda Brewing Company Violet Lemonade Ale …and the Bloomin’ Blueberry Lemon and Ginger Tea featuring Twinings of London® with Tito’s Handmade Vodka all served up in a Mason Jar for $15.50! Bloomin’ Blueberry Lemon and Ginger Tea with Tito’s Handmade Vodka Who knew that the combination of the Food and Wine Festival and the Flower and Garden Festival would just work so well together?! Even if you’re not into plant-based foods, this booth might just change your mind! You can take a look at what the rest of the booths are offering this year here! 14. It’s (already) that time of year — the EPCOT International Food & Wine Festival is back! China And we’re trying ALL of the eats to see which are our absolute favorites this year! We’ve already tasted some incredible menu items at other booths like France and Desserts and Champagne. So, how will the China booth stack up?! Let’s take a look! Menu Like many of the booths for 2020, the menu at China is a little pared down from last year. We were sad to see the Black Pepper Shrimp not on the menu this year, which was our top recommended food item from China last year! We were also sad to bid adieu to the Kung Fu Punch, one of our top beverage selections in last year’s Best of the Fest! China Menu So…what WAS left over for us to try if our two faves from last year were gone!? Food We picked up the Mongolian Beef Bao Bun on our trip to the China Booth! This bite-sized delight costs $6.75. We would happily order this again! The beef was very flavorful…no complaints here! Mongolian Beef Bao Bun The Chicken Dumplings also made a return this year to the Food and Wine Festival. They cost $4.95. Chicken Dumplings with Chinese Slaw Happily fed: check! Next up was to see what drinks we could choose from at this year’s festival. Drinks There are three beverage options available at the China Booth. There’s Jasmine Draft Beer, available as a 6 ounce pour for $5, or a 12oz pour for $8.50. Happy Peach, a returning Food and Wine staple at the China Booth, costs $11.50. Happy Peach There’s also the “Byejoe Punch,” which in the past is listed as “BaiJoe Punch,” coming from the Baijiu spirit that’s used a a base for this beverage. This drink costs $11. BaiJoe Punch with Chinese Bai Jui Spirit, Lychee, Coconut and Pineapple Juice While some of our top faves are gone for this year, we would definitely stop by the China Booth again for the Mongolian Beef Bao Bun! We are hopeful that the full menus will return at a future Food and Wine Festival. Here are all of the NEW menu items at this year’s Food & Wine Festival! 15. “Aloha” from the 2020 EPCOT International Food and Wine Festival! A Taste of EPCOT International Food and Wine Festival From the Funnel Cake Stand to the Islands of the Caribbean booth, we’ve been tasting our way around the Food & Wine Festival booths in the now reopened EPCOT! And we’re not finished yet! We stopped by the Hawai’i Booth to see what they had to offer! The Hawai’i booth is located near the entrance to the World Showcase, and we were excited to see what they’re serving up this year! Hawai’i Booth In addition to food and drinks, you can also snag the coveted Spike the Bee spork at the Hawai’i booth! This li’l cutie costs $2.50. Spike Spork So, let’s start by taking a look at the menu! Menu There aren’t any new items at the Hawai’i booth this year, and like many of the returning booths, the menu is slightly smaller than last year’s. Hawai’i Menu But we breathed a huge sigh of RELIEF when we saw that our two FAVORITE food items from Hawai’i, the Kalua Pork Slider ($5.25) and Teriyaki-glazed SPAM Hash ($4.25) were on the menu. These were both included in our 2019 Best of the Fest, and we wondered if they would once again be top contenders at the festival! Click here to see all of the menus from the EPCOT Food & Wine Festival booths! Food So, let’s start with the Kalua Pork Slider ($5.25), served with a sweet-and-sour DOLE pineapple chutney and spicy mayonnaise. Once again, this festival favorite did not disappoint! The pork was super moist and we love the sweet and spicy combo of the chutney and mayo! Kalua Pork Slider And the Teriyaki-glazed SPAM Hash ($4.25) is another returning winner for us! In addition to SPAM, you’ll also find potatoes, peppers, onions, and spicy mayonnaise tossed together to create a great mix of flavors! Teriyaki-Glazed Spam Hash We love both of the food items at the Hawai’i booth, but the Kalua Pork Slider continues to reign as one of our all-time favorites! Here’s everything that made our 2019 Best of the Fest list! Drinks For beverages, the Hawai’i booth is serving up several tropical selections, including the Maui Brewing Company Pineapple Mana Wheat ($4.50 for a 6-ounce pour or $8.50 for a 12-ounce pour) and Florida Orange Groves Sparkling Pineapple Wine ($10). 2020 Hawai’i Food Booth Or, if you’re in the mood for a cocktail, you can try the AULANI Sunrise, which is made with vodka, DOLE Pineapple Juice, and grenadine for $14. This drink was definitely sweet, but not too overpowering. It was a refreshing cocktail that we would order on a hot day! Aulani Sunrise Plus, it comes in a fun glass! Overall The Hawai’i booth is home to two of our favorite Food & Wine Festival eats, so it’s definitely worth a stop in our book! And the drinks are all fruity and refreshing options that can help us power through a long, hot day in EPCOT. So, with that in mind, we’d say the Hawai’i booth is a winner! 16. SURPRISE! The 2020 Epcot Food and Wine Festival, which is starting earlier than ever before, opened even EARLIER during Cast Member Previews (and we’re not even the slightest bit mad about it). Germany Food Booth While we’re gearing up to bring you the foodie news of your dreams with reviews of ALL the booths at the festival this year, we’re taking a trip around the World Showcase to the sweet corner of the Germany booth! Menu and Food But, we’ll need to skip the lederhosen and put on our stretchy pants because Germany has some returning items that everyone will enjoy! Germany Menu We’re starting off with some Schinkennudeln when we hop over to the food booth. Although the name might sound a little different, the dish is just a pasta gratin with ham, onions, and cheese (which is SUPER good) for $4.25! Schinkennudeln: Pasta Gratin with Ham, Onions and Cheese You can’t skip the bratwurst when you’re in Germany! And, it’s a good thing that the booth is bringing back the Roast Bratwurst in a Prop and Peller® Pretzel Roll again this year for $5.75. Roast Bratwurst on a Prop & Peller Pretzel Roll We’re BIG fans of apple pie! And, the Apple Strudel with Vanilla Sauce at the Germany booth does not disappoint with its flaky crust and sweet, cinnamon-y flavors for $4. Apple Strudel with Vanilla Sauce Drinks Although you can sip on the Weihenstephaner Festbier Lager, Freising for $4.50 per 6 oz. cup or $8.50 per 12 oz. cup and the Riesling for $6 again this year… Germany Menu Items …there are two new drinks adding the line-up in Germany! This year, you’ll also be able to sip on the M.I.A. Brewing Hugo, Doral, FL for $4.50 per 6 oz. cup or $8.50 per 12 oz. cup. MIA Beer Company Hugo We’re always down for new beers to come to Germany, and this lighter selection is perfect for a hot afternoon. MIA Beer Company Hugo Plus, you can add another beer to your Food and Wine list with the Hacker-Pschorr Hefe Weisse Naturtüb for $4.50 per 6 oz. cup and $8.50 per 12 oz. cup! Day One Substitute Pilsner The third option is the Weihenstephaner Festbier Lager, but they were OUT when we visited! How can Germany run out of BEER!? We’ll have to check back soon! Overall, this is a great spot if you’re looking for a wide selection of beers and some yummy brauts. Check out the food photos from all the other Food and Wine Booths here! 17. Just before Disney’s Riviera Resort reopened, we learned its character breakfast at Topolino’s Terrace would be the ONLY returning character meal at Walt Disney World and would include a few modifications. It’s Minnie! Other traditional character meals such as Trattoria al Forno‘s Bon Voyage Adventure Breakfast would resume, but not have any characters for the time being. Even though Disney World had told us all character dining would resume at a later time, we were SHOCKED when we learned that Epcot’s Garden Grill would be reopening — with characters! Normally, this rotating table service restaurant located inside Epcot’s The Land pavilion is home to Chip ‘n’ Dale’s Harvest Feast and includes a visit from Farmer Mickey himself! We booked a dinner table to see what this restaurant’s menu and modified character experience was like upon Epcot’s grand reopening! Mobile Dine Check-In Garden Grill Restaurant is utilizing the new Mobile Dine Check-In feature on the My Disney Experience app. By simply scanning a QR code, you can notify the restaurant you’ve arrived. Additionally, plexiglass barriers have been installed at the host stand. Check-In You’ll receive a text message when its time to dine! Screenshot And we can’t forget to mention there were several hand sanitizer stations located just outside the restaurant so you can wash your mitts before and after your meal. Hand Sanitizer Station But what is the dining experience like? Atmosphere Garden Grill Restaraunt is bi-leveled and normally guests can sit on both the top and lower levels while the entire restaurant itself spins around. Garden Grill Restaurant We noticed for now, guests are only being seated on the lower level because the characters are using the upper level to greet with guests from a distance. It’s rather genius! Garden Grill Restaurant Plexiglass barriers have also been installed between each booth on the lower level. Garden Grill Restaurant Cast Members were allowing guests to stand and capture photos of the characters from a distance without wearing masks, but there could always be changes made later on. For now, it appears you are able to snap some family pics or selfies with the characters sans mask as long as you’re not too close to Farmer Mickey and his friends. Experience We’re happy to report Farmer Mickey was back in all his denim overalls glory today along with his best pal, Pluto! It’s Mickey and Pluto! You can’t hug the characters or have your autograph book signed by them, but they were very playful and spent a good amount of time near table. The restaurant’s resident pranksters Chip and Dale also came by to say hello! Chip ‘n’ Dale The menu was viewable via QR code, even though the food at Garden Grill Restaurant is served family-style. QR Code Menu Other than that, our experience was pretty much the same! The restaurant still spun around and we got to see portions of Living with the Land… Living with the Land from Garden Grill We’ll be back with our full review of what we ate in just a little bit, but we wanted to show you all the changes Garden Grill Restaurant has made first! Family Style All in all, we totally get how and why Garden Grill Restaurant is still able to offer a character meal! The space’s unique set-up is works well for social distancing, and you can get closer to the characters here than at Topolino’s Terrace! For now, we’ve got some more A Taste of Epcot International Food and Wine marketplaces to explore, so it’s back to work we go! There’s another character experience at the theme parks right now — but SHH! — it’s a secret! What do you think about the modifications Garden Grill Restaurant has made? 18. Can you believe how many food booths we’ve already tried at A Taste of EPCOT International Food and Wine Festival? 2020 Hops and Barley Neither can we, but our pants still have a little give to them, so we must keep movin’ on! Now we’ve just arrived at the American Adventure pavilion to see what patriotic foods and drinks we can spot at this star-spangled food booth, Hops and Barley! And by the way, we’ve always stopped at the nearby Funnel Cake Stand to try their STELLAR new Street Corn Funnel Cake. Check out our full review! Menu Here’s the full menu of eats and drinks Hops and Barley has to offer this year! Hops & Barley You probably noticed some classic Food and Wine offerings along with a Flower and Garden favorite! And if you don’t know what we’re talking about, don’t worry. We’ll give you the full rundown. Food One of our Food and Wine Festival favorites, the New England Lobster Roll, has RETURNED! New England Lobster Roll Served warm, you’ll get a heaping pile of lobster topped with fresh herb mayonnaise and served on a fresh griddled roll. For $8.25 a pop, we’ve been known to pick up more than one of these at a time and eat them like Lobster Roll sliders. And if you’re really fanatical about your seafood, you’ll want to check out the Southern Seafood Boil! Southern Seafood Boil For $8, you’ll get a hefty-sized portion of shrimp, mussels, crawfish, potatoes, corn, and Andouille sausage. If this item looks and sounds vaguely familiar to you, it’s because it originally debuted at Magnolia Terrace, a brand new food booth at this year’s EPCOT Flower and Garden Festival. Back before the park closures, we found this dish to be a bit on the bland side, despite the sheer amount of food you’re served! Southern Seafood Boil Having those little crawfish eyes stare into our soul was a little…off-putting…but we found this dish to be rather tasty! This is not an easy dish to conquer, however. This dish includes corn on the cob, which is handheld, and shrimp, which still had its shell. There’s a lot of “work” involved in enjoying this dish, so if you are averse to touching things this year, this may be a dish you want to skip. Southern Seafood Boil And last, but by no way least, the Freshly Baked Carrot Cake has LANDED! You can barely see it hiding underneath all the Cream Cheese Icing — and that’s just the way we like it! Freshly Baked Carrot Cake and Cream Cheese Icing For $4.25, this dessert is easily sharable. The freshly grated carrot and perfectly balanced spices really make this cake a delightful bite! Now onto the drinks! Read up on ALL of the menus at this year’s Food and Wine Festival! Beverages Hops and Barley is running with their same selection of beers and wines from last year’s Food and Wine Festival — the only exception is you can’t get beer flights right now. Guess that means we’ll just have to order them individually and make our OWN flight!! Beer at Hops & Barley Our selections today included North Coast Brewing Co. Blue Star Wheat from Fort Bragg, CA… Blue Star Wheat …3 Daughters Brewing A Wake Coffee Blonde Ale from St. Petersburg, FL… 3 Daughters Brewing …and Heavy Seas AmeriCannon APA from Baltimore, MD. Heavy Seas AmeriCannon Hops and Barley is also serving up Angry Orchard Rosé Hard Cider, from Walden, NY. All of the beer selections are being sold in a 6oz. glass for $4.50 each or a 12oz. glass for $8.50 each. And for wine time, you can pick up a glass of Mer Soleil Reserve Chardonnay, Santa Lucia Highlands for $6.00 or Broadside Cabernet Sauvignon, Paso Robles for $5.00. Beer at Hops & Barley Overall, we’re pretty excited to see Magnolia Terrace’s Southen Seafood Boil has shown up on Hops and Barley’s menu along with some of our Food and Wine favorites from years past! And since there’s Southern Seafood Boil no official end date for the Taste of EPCOT International Food and Wine Festival yet (Disney has only said the festival will be running until the Fall), you’ll have plenty of time to munch and sip on these goodies! 20. We’re making our through all the food and drink booths EPCOT’s Food and Wine Festival! Refreshment Outpost Next stop: Refreshment Outpost! We always like to stop by this booth at ALL of EPCOT’s Festivals, so we were extra curious to see how this booth would measure up at this year’s “Taste of Food and Wine.” Menu and Food The food is fairly straight-forward American fare. In fact, the only fulfilling meal is the All-Beef Hot Dog with Chips. With so many unique and delicious festival offerings, we personally don’t feel like a hot dog for $9.50 isn’t the best bang for your buck. That is, unless, you’re traveling with picky eaters who only like hot dogs. Refreshment Outpost Menu While there isn’t much here to munch on, we spotted a few interesting beverage offerings! Drinks Other items on the “food” menu are Ice Cream Floats served with any fountain beverage for $5.75, Frozen Slushy made with Coca-Cola or Minute Maid Lemonade for $5.25, and the same frozen slushies served in a Souvenir Spike the Bee Sipper Cup. Frozen Slushy in Spike the Bee Sipper Yes, you heard us right! The Spike the Bee Sipper is BACK from the Flower and Garden Festival. For $15.00 you can fill him up with any Coke product you like and pack him around like your new best friend. Spike the Bee Sipper You can also pick between The Mango Starr (which was available 4 years ago and has made its way back) made with mango puree and Starr African Rum for $13.75… Mango Starr: Mango Puree and Starr African Rum …and the NEW Outpost Lemonade made with lemonade and Absolut Vodka for $15.00. Outpost Lemonade: Frozen Minute Maid® Lemonade and Absolut Vodka Both of these drinks were super yummy! If we HAD to pick a favorite of the two, however, we would go with the Outpost Lemonade. But you can’t go wrong with either selection! Outpost Lemonade Refreshment Outpost does have a lot of common beers like Safari Amber Draft ($9.75), Bud Light ($8.00), First Magnitude Brewing Lemon Hefeweizen ($9.75), Old Elephant Foot IPA ($9.75), and Bud Light Seltzer ($8.75). We might deem this booth as skippable unless you’re a fan of beer and ice cream floats. Although, Spike the Bee is definitely worth visiting! And those two frozen drinks were delightful! We would recommend getting your fill of food and a different booth, and then stop by Refreshment Outpost for a beverage! 21. We stopped by EPCOT to see what was new since the parks temporarily closed in mid-March, and lo and behold, the 2020 EPCOT Food and Wine Festival has begun! Islands of the Caribbean So, now that the festival is in full swing, we had to stop by Islands of the Caribbean! This booth is returning from last year so we were anxious to see what was in store for this year! Returning this year was the Ropa Vieja Empanada with Tomato Aïoli as well as the Jerk-spiced Chicken with Roasted Sweet Plantain Salad and Mango Chutney Yogurt. Islands of the Caribbean Menu We started with the Ropa Vieja Empanada for $5.50. This dish is a little bit of let down for us. Don’t get us wrong! It was pretty good, just a little heavy on the grease. There are really good meat dishes around Food & Wine so this snack might be skippable. New this year is the Flancocho: Passion Fruit Cake with Coconut Flan for $4.25. The Flancocho had a nice tanginess from the passion fruit balanced with the sweetened coconut. Flancocho Back again is the Jerk-Spiced chicken for $5.50. This is a hearty meal that will fill you up pretty nicely. The chicken is charred and spiced with a nice rub and the plantains aren’t too sweet. Jerk-spiced Chicken with Roasted Sweet Plantain Salad and Mango Chutney Yogurt Islands of the Caribbean has three beverage selections: the Red Stripe Lager, the Opici Family White Sangria, and the Frozen Mojito. We washed it all down with a Frozen Mojito for $10.50. If you like mojitos you’ll probably like this drink! The blended ice makes it cool and refreshing with the zing from the lime and a bit of cool from the mint. Frozen Mojito Last year, this booth was cooking their jerk chicken on open grills (which meant AWESOME free chicken smells as you walked by!) but this year we didn’t see that happening. It WAS also about to storm when we made our way by, so we’ll check back to be sure. Take a trip down to the Islands of the Caribbean for a unique spin on the EPCOT Food and Wine Festival! 22. After being closed since mid-March, today Disney’s Hollywood Studios officially reopened for guests! Woody says, “Howdy!” at Toy Story Land! We snagged a Disney Park Pass reservation so we could see what it’s like to spend a day in the park with the new health and safety measures in place. And that includes experiencing the rides and attractions! Here’s what it was like to ride Toy Story Mania in the recently reopened Hollywood Studios. Hollywood Studios saw some lengthy wait times today, but Toy Story Mania hung out with average to low wait times. It was frequently at 10 to 20 minutes. Toy Story Mania As we expected, the queue had the usual health measures. Markers were placed throughout to keep guests distanced at 6-foot intervals. Queue Once we got closer to the loading area, we spotted those familiar plexiglass barriers to help protect guests in switchbacks. Queue With hands-on elements, we were very curious about how this attraction would run in a reopened Disney World. But really the changes end once you get on the ride. Toy Story Mania loading area Our reporter was alone in her car, but Cast Members told us that they are loading two parties per car if possible. We didn’t spot any added cleaning to the touch points in the vehicles and we noticed that the air effects were still there. Cast Member As you can see, most of the changes to be seen on this ride were in the queue areas. Stay tuned to DFB as we continue to explore a reopened Disney World this week! 23. Walt Disney World’s EPCOT reopened to guests today, and along with the reopening of the park itself came the kickoff of the 2020 Taste of EPCOT International Food and Wine Festival! 2020 Taste of EPCOT Food and Wine Festival And as we’ve been eating our way around every single Festival Marketplace in World Showcase (and World ShowPlace — which you can check out here), we couldn’t help but notice a couple of additional food booths that are NOT serving guests or even mentioned on the list of this year’s booths… yet. For instance, you may recall The Alps Booth, which made its Food and Wine Festival debut just last year. Here is a picture of the booth as it stands NOW… The Alps Booth … and if you look reeaalllyy close, you’ll notice a small banner that says “COMING THIS FALL!” The Alps Booth Let me tell you, if The Alps does indeed come back this fall, we sure hope the Warm Raclette Swiss Cheese with Baby Potatoes, Cornichons and Baguette comes along with it! Warm Raclette Swiss Cheese And the Spain Booth — which is currently not serving — has the very same COMING THIS FALL banner! Spain Booth Does that mean the Spanish-style Paella is on its way back? Spanish-style Paella with Botifarra and Roasted Chicken We sure hope so! We also spotted this as-yet-unnamed booth, which sports the same COMING THIS FALL banner. Unnamed Food Booth The structure itself resembles the Flavor From Fire Booth, but since it currently just displays the Festival artwork AND is in a different location, we’re not quite sure what’s in store here just yet. Now, this next one — which is the structure for the previous Chocolate Studio — is NOT marked with a Coming This Fall sign, so we assume that this one will just remain standing as it is now. Unopened Booth But you’d better believe we’ll be keeping an eye on it, just in case! Check out the FULL MENUS for the Taste of the EPCOT Food and Wine Festival here! So, my friends… it looks like there is more on the way for the 2020 Taste of EPCOT International Food and Wine Festival this fall! But there is also PLENTY to enjoy at the Festival NOW at this year’s twenty Festival Food Booths (PLUS additional locations)! And stay tuned for our Best of the Fest… coming to you SOON from us here at the DFB! Are you excited about the possibility of even more booths coming to the 2020 EPCOT Food and Wine Festival? 24. We’ve been eating our way around the World Showcase at EPCOT’S International Food and Wine Festival! Morocco We finally made it to the Morocco Pavilion which featured one of our FAVORITE dishes of the day, if not the entire festival. Keep reading…we’ll fill you in! Looking over the menu, we noticed that Morocco seemed to have a pretty decent set of offerings! Morocco Menu We ordered the Beef Kefta Pocket and oh. my. GOODNESS. You guys, this was a star dish for us today. Beef Kefta Pocket This dish was jam-packed with flavor, a little heat, and TONS of spices. Of all the items we’ve tried at this year’s festival, this item was by FAR one of the most flavorful. Beef Kefta Pocket The beef was wrapped in a pita and balanced with caramelized onions, garlic then topped with spicy tomato concassée. The dish costs $9.00 and is WELL WORTH IT, my friends. The Spicy Hummus Fries are back this year, rivaling Mr. Kamal’s seasoned fries in Animal Kingdom. There’s always a need for some friendly competition! Spicy Hummus Fries The fries cost $8.00 and are topped with fresh cucumber, tomatoes, onions, tzatziki, and chipotle sauce. We liked the little kick of chipotle at the end! These are reliably a good choice every time we’ve tried them at the festival. “Say what you wish, it’s yours! True dish. How ’bout a little more baklavaaaa?” (Sorry, we couldn’t resist!) The sticky-sweet Chocolate Baklava, returning once again to the festival, is made of rolled phyllo dough, toasted almonds, and drizzled in dark chocolate sauce. The dessert costs $4.50. Chocolate Baklava cross-section You can usually find good baklava at the Morrocco Pavilion year-round, so we suggest trying another dessert if you’ve visited before! Otherwise, this is a solid dessert. Morocco has four beverage choices at this year’s festival. There’s the Mediterranean Beer (available in a 6oz pour for $4.50 and a 12oz pour for $9.00), the Kasbah Prestige Red Wine ($6.00), Red Organic Sangria ($7.00), and The Mimosa Royale ($9.00). There’s certainly something on their drink menu for everyone! Overall, Morocco had a few good dishes and decent drink selections. Spicy food lovers will love the Hummus Fries, we could easily fill up on a few of those awesome Beef Kefta Pockets, and it’s a solid choice for a mimosa! Check out ALL of the menus at this year’s Epcot International Food and Wine Festival here! Will you be swinging by Morocco for baklava and wine? Let us know in the comments! 25. We’re back at Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge during the grand reopening of Disney’s Hollywood Studios! Millennium Falcon: Smugglers Run Line We’ve been checking out what’s new and different since Disney World reopened. We kicked back with a Carbon Freeze at Oga’s Cantina and battled the First Order on Rise of the Resistance. Now, we’re ready to pilot the fastest hunk o’ junk in the galaxy and tell you all about it. So, what is Millennium Falcon: Smugglers Run like? Let’s run it down. The Queue The queue is very similar to many lines we’ve seen across Walt Disney World. Social distancing markers are placed throughout the line to keep travel groups separated. Smugglers Run Line Haunted Mansion and Flight of Passage had us skip the pre-show to reduce people from grouping together for a long period of time. Smugglers Run kept the pre-show and instead added markers around the room to have you stand on. Fewer people were let into the room to reduce grouping too. Smugglers Run Pre-Show A major difference happens once you get into the interior of the ship. Usually, you’re allowed to mill around and explore the cabin. Today, they were having us stand on markers to keep our distance. Lining Up in the Millennium Falcon We were allowed to take quick pictures on the seats in the Chess Room if we wanted to. The Ride Experience Travel groups are sat together in the same cabins and do not share a cabin with other groups. That means, if you’re a party of one, you’ll get a whole cabin to yourself. No more worrying about whether or not you will get that coveted pilot’s seat! Smugglers Run Console Other than that, Millennium Falcon: Smugglers Run is the same great ride we’ve been on before! We’d say our experience was very similar to the last time we rode it. The only difference was some social distancing and a private cabin. Keep up with us as we experience more attractions and new protocols! Want to hear what happens if you miss your Ride Rise of the Resistance boarding group? Check it out here!
