There are a lot of things Disney World does extremely well. Fireworks. Snacks. Turning “I’ll just browse the gift shop” into a minor financial event. What Disney World is not naturally built for is quiet. This is, after all, a vacation kingdom fueled by stroller traffic, mobile order panic, and one family of six somehow stopping in the exact center of every walkway like they’re filming a documentary about poor spatial awareness. Magic Kingdom So yes, if you’re an introvert, Disney World can be a lot. Not bad a lot, necessarily. Just… a lot. A parade of sounds, crowds, questions, decisions, heat, logistics, and strangers breathing with a level of confidence that feels, frankly, aggressive. Which is exactly why your hotel matters. A good Disney hotel for an introvert is not just a place to sleep. It is a decompression chamber. A reset button. A lovely little cocoon where you can peel off your park clothes, stare into the middle distance for twenty minutes, and remember who you are before rope drop turned you into a survivalist with a Lightning Lane strategy and a caffeine dependency. Grand Flo Lobby And as a loud and proud introvert, or at least the introvert version of loud and proud, I take this very seriously. My personal favorite is Disney’s Wilderness Lodge, because nothing says peace like being tucked away in the woods in a glamorous seven-story rustic-chic log cabin with a couple thousand of your closest strangers. That resort understands me on a spiritual level. What Introverts Actually Need Let’s clear something up right now: being an introvert does not automatically mean you want to sit in a dark room and hiss at sunlight like a Victorian attic cat. Some introverts love Disney. Some of us love the parks, love the food, love the atmosphere, and still need a hotel that doesn’t feel like Round 2 of public interaction. Main Street, U.S.A. The best Disney World hotels for introverts usually have a few things in common. They have space. They have pockets of calm. They do not feel like the entire resort is perpetually gathered in one giant central hallway waiting to discuss their dinner reservations. They give you somewhere to walk, somewhere to sit, somewhere to quietly exist without being drafted into the emotional orbit of 700 other vacationers. Belle Vue Lounge That’s really the key. Introverts do not always need silence. We need choice. We need the option to participate and the option to vanish. The resorts below are the ones that do the best job of offering both. Disney’s Wilderness Lodge Forest Fortress Let’s start with the queen. The icon. The reigning monarch of “leave me alone, but make it expensive-looking.” Wilderness Lodge in Disney World Wilderness Lodge is inspired by turn-of-the-century National Park lodges, and that is exactly why it works so well for introverts. The whole place feels tucked away from the rest of Disney World in the best possible way. It has that rare talent of making you feel removed from the chaos without making you feel inconveniently stranded in the wilderness with only a granola bar and your battery pack for comfort. The famous fireplace This resort gets the balance right. The lobby is dramatic, yes, but it is dramatic in a low-lit, cathedral-of-pine kind of way. It is not screaming for your attention with giant cartoon icons or a food court that sounds like a middle school cafeteria at peak tater tot hour. You can sit by the fireplace. You can walk the grounds. You can step outside and get that quiet, piney, Pacific-Northwest-meets-Florida energy that somehow tricks your nervous system into unclenching. Wilderness Lodge This is also one of the few Disney resorts that feels deeply cozy rather than merely convenient. Cozy matters. Cozy is medicinal. Cozy is what keeps an introvert from having to fake enthusiasm when their social battery is blinking red and making that weird little emergency chirp. More fire Now, is Wilderness Lodge empty? Absolutely not. It is a Disney Deluxe resort, not a secret monastery. But it absorbs people well. That’s the trick. Crowds don’t hit you in the face here the same way they do at resorts where every guest seems to be funneled into one busy corridor under blinding lights and the scent of spilled soda. Territory Lounge If you’re an introvert who still wants Magic Kingdom area convenience without staying somewhere that feels like a transportation hub cosplaying as a hotel lobby, this is the move. What I Wish I’d Bought Before Staying at Disney’s Wilderness Lodge Disney’s Animal Kingdom Lodge Windows, Wildlife, Peace Animal Kingdom Lodge is what happens when Disney takes the concept of “staring out the window to avoid conversation” and turns it into a luxury experience. The hotel’s signature strength: exotic animals, immersive theming, and big-view spaces that let the savanna do most of the talking. That is catnip for introverts. Or maybe antelope-nip. Either way, you get the idea. Animal Kingdom Lodge There are few better low-effort, high-reward introvert activities at Disney World than finding a quiet spot at Animal Kingdom Lodge and watching giraffes wander around while you sip coffee and remember that peace is possible. You are technically on vacation. You are also technically hiding from everyone. That’s called range. Disney’s Animal Kingdom Lodge This resort is especially good for introverts who like atmosphere but do not want overstimulation. The design is rich and gorgeous, but it’s grounded. Warm woods, deep colors, soft lighting, and sweeping windows do a lot of heavy lifting here. It feels layered and alive without feeling chaotic. You can be surrounded by detail without being screamed at by it. The Savanna at Animal Kingdom Lodge The tradeoff, of course, is that Animal Kingdom Lodge is a bus-only resort, which means transportation is not exactly a silent meditation retreat. But once you are back on property, the vibe changes fast. The hotel has a built-in hush to it, and because so many guests are out in the parks during the day, those common areas can feel especially serene in the afternoon. Disney is also still posting a refurbishment notice for Kidani Village guest rooms through May 2026, so that is one more reason to double-check the current status before you book. AKL Lobby If your ideal reset button involves soft seating, interesting architecture, and an animal doing something pleasantly unbothered in the distance, this is your place. Disney’s Port Orleans Riverside River Calm Port Orleans remains one of Disney World’s best arguments for the healing power of just going outside for a minute. Port Orleans French Quarter and Port Orleans Riverside are sister resorts, not one giant merged mega-resort with a complicated custody arrangement. Both are good. For introverts specifically, though, I’m giving the edge to Riverside. Disney’s Port Orleans – Riverside Riverside works because it sprawls in a way that actually helps. The pathways, the trees, the river, the mansions and backwoods bayou sections, the little pockets where nobody seems in a hurry to bother you, it all creates breathing room. This is not the resort for people who want to be thirty feet from the lobby at all times. This is the resort for people who enjoy a scenic walk and occasionally need to disappear behind landscaping like a Southern gothic cryptid. Port Orleans Riverside Resort It also has a gentler energy than some of Disney’s more in-your-face resorts. There’s charm here, but it’s not loud charm. It’s not trying to hit you over the head with “LOOK HOW FUN WE ARE.” It’s more of a slow exhale. A riverboat kind of mood. A “yes, I would like to sit on this bench and not speak to anyone for twelve glorious minutes” kind of mood. Port Orleans — Riverside That makes it a strong pick for introverts who still want a moderate resort budget and decent transportation options, but who would prefer to come back to something leafy and low-key rather than a resort where every path leads directly into another loud decision. So serene The only asterisk is the refurbishment. If construction noise is your personal villain origin story, keep an eye on the latest room-location notes before you book. But conceptually? Spiritually? Riverside still gets introverts. Caribbean Beach vs. Port Orleans Riverside Disney World Resort Guide Disney’s Saratoga Springs Resort & Spa Room to Breathe Saratoga Springs is the resort equivalent of someone giving you space and then, miracle of miracles, actually continuing to give you space. The Treehouse Villas are here, and that alone keeps Saratoga Springs firmly in the introvert conversation. This resort is sprawling. It has walking paths, villas, quiet corners, and enough physical separation that you don’t constantly feel like you’re living inside somebody else’s vacation montage. Treehouse Villas What makes Saratoga so introvert-friendly is not that it’s the flashiest resort. It’s almost the opposite. It’s calm. It’s spread out. It has a sort of country-club-meets-vacation-condo energy that can feel delightfully unbothered compared with some of Disney’s louder, more aggressively whimsical options. Disney’s Saratoga Springs Resort And yes, some people complain that it is too spread out. To which I say: exactly. That’s the point. For introverts, “spread out” can be a feature, not a bug. Sometimes I do not want the pool, the lobby, the quick-service location, and seventeen other families orbiting within one hundred feet of my front door. Sometimes I would like some nice landscaping, a quiet walkway, and the illusion that I have escaped society while technically still being on Disney property. Let’s decompress Saratoga is especially good for repeat visitors, DVC fans, or anyone whose dream Disney trip includes a little less frantic magic and a little more “I am going to drink coffee on this balcony and let nobody perceive me until noon.” It is not the most thrilling resort on this list. That’s one of its best qualities. There’s a NEW Addition at Disney’s Saratoga Springs Resort Fort Wilderness Cabin Mode If your ideal Disney vacation includes hearing birds instead of hallway doors, Fort Wilderness needs to be on your radar immediately. Fort Wilderness Resort Fort Wilderness has both the campsites and cabin offerings, with the cabins now tied into Disney Vacation Club branding, while the broader Fort Wilderness experience still revolves around that secluded, outdoorsy, pine-scented bubble so many people love. OLD Fort Wilderness Cabin But here’s the real story: Fort Wilderness is one of the only places at Disney World where introvert logic becomes hilariously easy. Do you want privacy-enhancing landscaping? Disney literally says the campsites have that. Do you want room to spread out? It has that too. Do you want to feel like you’ve left mainstream Disney energy behind and wandered into some parallel universe where golf carts rule the roads and trees mind their business? Congratulations, you have arrived. Time to fish There’s something deeply satisfying about how self-contained Fort Wilderness feels. It is not polished in the same way that Wilderness Lodge is polished. It’s more casual, more woodsy, more “I could vanish here for a weekend and come back emotionally renewed and slightly obsessed with outdoor lantern light.” Tri Circle Ranch This is also a great choice for introverts traveling with family, because it gives you a little bit of separation even when you are technically not alone. That matters. Sometimes the dream is not solitude, exactly. Sometimes the dream is a door. Sometimes it is a porch. Sometimes it is being able to step outside and take one dramatically private breath before returning to your loved ones and pretending you are still fun. Bus stop Fort Wilderness is for people who want Disney, but diluted with trees. NEWS: Disney Confirms NEW Rule at Fort Wilderness Resort One More Thing Before You Book Quiet Has Layers A hotel being good for introverts does not always mean it is the quietest hotel on paper. It means it gives you places to recover. A place to relax That’s why some very popular resorts still work, and some less popular ones still don’t. A compact resort can be charming, but if every single guest shares the same tiny circulation path, your brain may still feel like it’s getting bumped with a shopping cart. A big resort can be inconvenient, but if that size creates breathing room, scenic walks, and fewer people directly in your face, suddenly it starts looking like a wellness plan. Beach Club Lobby That is also why Wilderness Lodge keeps winning for me. It’s beautiful, yes. Convenient, yes. But mostly it feels like a resort built by someone who understood that there is real emotional value in dim lighting, good theming, and not being assaulted by a food court every time you leave your room. Protect Your Peace Disney World is not exactly an introvert’s natural habitat. It is a place where you can buy a churro at 9:14 in the morning while being passed by a scooter, a stroller, a bubble wand, and a child explaining at full volume why everyone in their family is already mad. That is simply the ecosystem. But the right hotel changes everything. Saratoga Springs Resort If you want my personal pick, it’s Wilderness Lodge all day. If you want animals and atmosphere, go Animal Kingdom Lodge. If you want river paths and room to decompress, go Port Orleans Riverside. If you want space to spread out, Saratoga Springs gets the job done. And if you want to flee civilization while still technically staying at Disney World, Fort Wilderness is sitting there in the trees waiting for you like a very specific kind of therapy. Carolwood Pacific Room In other words, introverts do not need to avoid Disney World. We just need better hideouts. Preferably with nice lobbies, decent snacks, and a scenic place to stare while nobody asks us one more question. Magic Kingdom, which is already under a lot of construction, is about to get ANOTHER big change. Dole Whip from Aloha Isle Right now, the park has just reopened an updated ride, is in the process of reopening ANOTHER big updated ride, is getting a brand NEW land, and an expansion in Frontierland. As if that wasn’t enough, though, some changes are coming soon to a popular dining spot in the park: Aloha Isle is getting an update! Yep, your favorite spot to grab a DOLE Whip treat in Disney World is getting an update soon. Disney filed a permit on April 15th to “install signage” at the location. We’re not entirely sure what kind of signage the permit refers to, but it does mean you might see some construction activity happening around the snack spot. Of course, this could just mean the location is getting a new version of its existing sign, so you might not notice anything at all! Aloha Isle The contractor for the project is listed as Kentavo, who has also installed signage for some of Disney World’s other locations. This could be a refresh of the current sign at Aloha Isle, or perhaps it’s additional signage for the quick service spot. Whatever the case, we’re curious as to what it means. Aloha Isle The good news is that this work doesn’t seem to warrant a closure, which is good news for folks still hoping to get their DOLE Whip fix the next time they visit Magic Kingdom. Pop Century Lobby While we spend every day at Disney World every day, we often stay overnight, as well! Over the decades, we’ve gotten pretty familiar with ALL of the Disney World hotels over the years — their pros and cons, who they’re right for, and how to save at one. Understandably, we’ve picked up some great tips during our stays, and we’re giving you ways to save money during your vacation! I’m not going to bury the lede. Staying at a Disney hotel is expensive — at least generally speaking. You should be ready to shell out a MINIMUM of a couple hundred dollars per night. Of course, what you pay will always depend on the length of your stay, but there are actually several ways you can save a few bucks and — sometimes — much, much more. While Disney owns MANY hotels on property, they also partner with local hotels in the area — also known as Good Neighbor Hotels. Holiday Inn Orlando I can pretty much guarantee you that you’ll get better rates at these hotels, and many of them still give you park perks like Early Entry and transportation. Best of all, these hotels are usually part of a chain and rewards program — and if you’re a member, you could theoretically stay near Disney World FOR FREE if you cash in points and rewards. Swan & Dolphin Hotels Another great option is staying on property but in a non-Disney owned hotel! Swan and Dolphin Hotels One of the best hacks is to stay at the Swan and Dolphin Resorts, which offers a prime location near the parks, some of the best dining options in all of Disney World, park perks, and a deluxe experience that a majority of the Disney-owned hotels either don’t have or charge way more for. Never Stop Looking For Deals Even after you’ve purchased a vacation package directly from Disney, your price doesn’t necessarily have to be locked in. Magic Kingdom If you have an existing Disney World reservation, you can still add on new Disney-offered deals! Keep up-to-date on what’s being offered (that’s where following DFB helps), and you might end up paying less than you originally expected. ©Disney Check the special offers on the Disney World website regularly, and then follow the prompts to apply the offer to your reservation. You will likely need to log in to your My Disney Experience account to modify the reservation. If you’re spending more time at the parks and less time getting there, you’re getting more bang for your buck. Monorail at the Contemporary Resort Time is money, and you will get the most out of your vacation if you — ya know — are actually getting what you paid for. Take Advantage of the Disney Visa If you’re a Disney Visa Cardmember, you can get hotel deals, among other types of savings on things like food and merch. Cardmembers can use the Disney Rewards Redemption Card at select restaurants, retail, and hotel locations at Disney Resorts all over the country — not just Disney World! ©Disney Disney Visa Cardmembers can also get discounts on room rates — so if you’ve been thinking about signing up and want to go to Disney a lot, it’s not the worst idea in the world. Disney Visa At Disney World, Cardmembers can save up to 30-35% on select rooms. At Disneyland, they can save 30% on select premium rooms at Disney’s Grand Californian Hotel & Spa or the Disneyland Hotel during specific booking periods. Cardmembers can also save 35% off select rooms at the Aulani Resort & Spa. Time It Out While Disney World is almost always busy, there are times of the year when rates DO drop. Empty Hollywood Studios Typically, you may see lower prices in January, early February, and September. If school is in session or the weather is cold, you may get lucky. However, if you want to visit during the holidays or when families generally travel, get ready to shell out some cash. If you’re planning a trip to Disney World soon, then you need to know about hurricane season. If you’re new to Florida, then we know how scary that can sound, but we’ve made a simple guide for everything you need to navigate hurricane season for 2026! Magic Kingdom entrance the day after Hurricane Milton Hurricane season in Florida runs from June to November, so if you’re headed to Disney World this summer or early fall, it’s possible that Mother Nature could impact your trip. Here’s everything you need to know about hurricane season, plus our tips as Florida locals who have seen it all. Dates Hurricane season for 2026 runs from June 1st to November 30th. The most active months with the highest rainfall are typically August, September, and October. Rainy day at Hollywood Studios ahead of Hurricane Milton However, we’ve been seeing a lot of tropical storms forming as early as May. It doesn’t hurt to be prepared early. If you already have a trip planned for this season, don’t worry! The parks closing this year due to hurricanes is highly unlikely. Frequency 2026’s hurricane season will have a lower number of storms than usual, according to the Colorado State University Hurricane Forecast from April. The expectations for all categories, including Named Storms, Hurricanes, Major Hurricanes, and Accumulated Cyclone Energy, among others, are all lower than the average. Visitors leaving the Transportation and Ticket Center during a hurricane There are only 20 projected hurricane days (the total days where a hurricane could be on land) for 2026, compared to the yearly average of 27. Unless the forecast would change signifigantly, the odds of being in Florida during a hurricane are almost 30% lower than in previous years. What to do if you’re planning a trip If you’re planning or have already planned a trip during hurricane season, you can still make the most of your vacation! Here are our tips to get prepared before your visit: Watch the forecast. If your trip falls in late May or early June, you might be arriving during the first wave of tropical activity. Stay in the loop and be ready to pivot if needed. Stay flexible. If a named storm is on the horizon, Disney will usually offer options to reschedule or cancel. They’ve been super guest-friendly about this in the past. Pack smart. Bring lightweight rain gear just in case. And remember—Florida rain hits hard and fast. Even outside of hurricane season, you’re probably going to get wet at some point. We’ve made a guide with all of our favorite rainy day essentials if you need a good starting point. Know Disney’s hurricane policy. If an official hurricane warning is issued for Orlando or your home location within seven days of your arrival, Disney does allow you to cancel or modify your vacation without penalties. Overcast skies after Hurricane Milton Just in case there is a hurricane… The good news is that you’re in one of the safest places possible! Disney has been known to rebook guests into different hotels if the one they’re staying in is at a flood risk, and they have Cast Members at their safe hotels 24/7 to help with anything you’d need. Plus, they often bring characters to entertain guests for some Disney magic while the storm rages outside. Disney World closed due to Hurricane Milton in 2024 While Disney doesn’t like to close their parks, it will do so if it is unsafe for guests and the Cast Members. Disney prioritizes safety for their visitors, so even if there is an unexpected closure, anything that remains open is guaranteed to be a safe place. We can’t believe it, but we’re almost ready to move on to the next EPCOT festival! Sure, Flower and Garden is still underway, but we can already feel the weather changing, like something is about to begin. EPCOT Food & Wine Festival display We’re just a few months away from the kick-off of EPCOT’s Food and Wine Festival! We don’t have official dates for the festival just yet, but if tradition means anything, August is going to be a big month for the theme park. While Disney is working away on the details, we just wanted to drop a few ideas for some changes we are desperate to see at the 2026 Food and Wine Festival. We’re a few months away from the beginning of what we deem the absolute behemoth of Disney festivals. It’s Disney’s biggest, and often longest, festival, and it takes place during some of the hottest times of the year. Each festival definitely has its fans, but the Food and Wine is widely regarded as the fan favorite festival. That doesn’t mean we can’t improve upon it, though. Disney, get out a pen and paper so we can have a chat. Food and Wine Festival Let’s start simple: you need to bring back demonstrations and seminars! In the past, Culinary Demonstrations and Wine and Beverage Seminars were some of the festival’s most popular events. They were an affordable and fun way to learn in a hands-on environment, but they have disappeared since 2020. Fans have been begging for the return of these events, and yet Disney feels keen on ignoring us. We won’t stop asking for it, guys. Seriously, we won’t, so humor us! EPCOT Food and Wine Festival Seminar Check In 2019 Just try out one or two demonstrations and seminars so we can see how they perform. They even teased us during the EPCOT transformation, saying that CommuniCore Hall was going to be EPCOT’s new dedicated festival area. Disney called the new “home base” for EPCOT’s seasonal festivals and live events. CommuniCore Hall and CommuniCore Plaza are located in World Celebration and were supposed to bring EPCOT International Festivals “to the center of Walt Disney World,” according to Disney. While they have definitely used those areas during the festivals, we really anticipated that seminars and demonstrations would pop up in these locations. Spoiler alert, they haven’t yet. CommuniCore Hall during the 2026 Flower and Garden Festival Next, we would love to see you add tasting passes to this festival! This is something that you can actually find over at Disney California Adventure at Disneyland Resort during their Food and Wine festival, and we love it. Over in California Adventure, you can find the Sip and Savor pass. This pass is a souvenir credential that includes credits that are eligible for one food item or non-alcoholic beverage per credit at the Festival Marketplaces. 2026 Disney California Food and Wine Festival Sip and Savor Pass This is such a fun way to prepay for food and drinks, and it can even be used as a budgeting tool. We also appreciate that it’s a built-in souvenir. Back in 2015 through 2017, EPCOT did offer something called the Festival Tasting Sampler (and yes, we covered it at the time, which you can see here). The package included: Eight entitlements for food or beverage of your choice at 30 Food and Wine Festival Booths Priority seating at the 6:45 Eat to the Beat Concert on the day the package is purchased Limited release 20th Anniversary pin that comes in 3 different colors All for $59. Ah, the good ole days! We don’t expect that price (although we would love it), but if you could just bring back something along the lines of a tasting pass, we would be happy. 2017 Festival Tasting Sampler Next, we are legitimately begging for a new menu at the Tangierine Cafe: Flavors of the Medina. This is Morocco’s Food and Wine Festival booth, and it has been nearly the same for YEARS. Last year, they did give us a new dessert, and sometimes they’ll mix up the ingredients, but it’s nearly the same every year. Dishes at Tangerine Cafe That being said…we honestly don’t dislike this booth, and it does offer pretty good bites every year. We just thought, while we were writing down our dreams and desires, we would include a new menu request here. Speaking of new menu requests, we quite literally need you to change the Italy Booth in nearly every way. Italy Spread 2025 Year after year. Festival after festival. This booth is somehow always bad! We don’t get it! We love Italian food, and we especially love Via Napoli, just steps away from this booth. Each year, if we think the food is “fine” at this booth, we consider it a win! We honestly don’t get how each year it disappoints, but it does. However, 2026 could be your year, Disney. Really, think about this. The Italy Food and Wine Booth in 2024 Are you going to get mad at us if we say the tables and shade situation needs to change? Well, don’t get too mad because that’s our next point. It’s like Disney will add some much need tables only to take away others that we loved. Is there a shortage of tall black metal tables we don’t know about? Is there an epidemic going on? EPCOT standing tables We also have another table gripe: if there are empty tables, it’s because they’re in the sun and they’re so hot you feel like you’re touching lava. We need more shade, Disney! EPCOT is a big park, and there’s a lot of walking. Please don’t make us eat the hot soup you served us on a scorching black table with no shade. Have some humanity! So many tables, so little shade! That leads to our final request: please start serving temperature-appropriate food! Listen, we get it. The Food and Wine Festival serves as the “Fall” festival in EPCOT, but we’re still in Orlando, and it’s 95 degrees. No matter how badly we want it to be Fall, it just isn’t. That means it’s too hot for heavy food and very warm soups. Cheese soup from the Canada booth! We love this soup. We love those dishes, but trust us, they are much harder to enjoy during the Food and Wine Festival. If we are already hot, we don’t want to become HOTTER because we’re drinking melted cheese. Now that being said, you don’t have to totally get rid of these. Maybe you could just add some more temperature-friendly items here and there. Perhaps a gazpacho? Warm Schinkennudeln Disney, there are lots of ways you can address this issue, and you’re the experts, so we’ll leave it to you. These are just a few of the big changes we really need to make for you before the Food and Wine Festival kicks off in 2026. There are Disney snacks you try once because they’re cute, photogenic, and briefly possessed by seasonal glitter. And then there are Disney snacks that hang around because, frankly, they earned it. Try the Grey Stuff. It’s delicious! The Grey Stuff Cupcake at Gaston’s Tavern is in that second category. Yes, it’s a Beauty and the Beast gimmick. Yes, it is shamelessly built around one of the most famous food lines in Disney history. And yes, we still fall for it every single time because the thing is actually good. Not “good for a theme park cupcake.” Not “good if you’re already standing there and your blood sugar is making choices.” Just genuinely good. So…What Is the Grey Stuff Cupcake? At its most basic, this is a chocolate cupcake with a big swirl of grey topping and crunchy pearls on top. In practice, it lands somewhere in that very dangerous zone between cupcake and cookies-and-cream dessert situation. Disney dodges straight out labeling the frosting flavor profile, but we’ve clocked it as that creamy, Oreo-adjacent vibe. And that is exactly why it works. So much of that yummy Grey Stuff You’ve got the rich chocolate base, the cool creamy topping, and just enough crunch from the pearls to keep it from becoming one-note sugar paste. It’s sweet, sure, but usually not in that toothache, frosting-wallop way some Disney cupcakes can be. It’s had its fluctuations over the years, sometimes leaning more buttercream, sometimes a bit more whipped frosting experience with nice texture contrast from the crispy pearls, which honestly tracks with why this thing still has fans. Why We Like It Because it knows its assignment. This is not trying to be subtle. This is not an understated French patisserie moment whispering delicate notes of restraint. This is a Beauty and the Beast cupcake in Fantasyland with a giant swirl of grey frosting on top. It is theater. It is sugar with a backstory. It is Disney doing Disney. The Grey Stuff Plate But the reason we keep coming back is that the cupcake backs up the bit. The chocolate base gives it enough heft that it doesn’t just eat like a spoonful of frosting on a paper wrapper. The topping brings that cookies-and-cream energy people tend to inhale on contact. And the whole thing is fun in exactly the way a Magic Kingdom snack should be. It feels a little silly, a little nostalgic, and very easy to justify with, “Well…I was already here.” Why You Might Like It If you are the kind of person who sees the words chocolate cupcake and immediately stops listening to the rest of the sentence, congratulations, you’re the target audience. The Grey Stuff Cupcake circa 2020 You’ll probably also like this if you: love cookies-and-cream flavors want a classic Disney snack with actual theme-park lore need a sweet excuse to pause in Fantasyland enjoy desserts that feel a little more substantial than a random packaged treat It also helps that this one has built-in Disney-famous status. “Try the grey stuff, it’s delicious” has been luring people into Beauty and the Beast snack decisions for years, and this cupcake is basically the most portable, least commitment-heavy way to play along. The Grey Stuff itself showed up at Be Our Guest from the restaurant’s early days, and the full cupcake version was on the lunch menu by 2013 before eventually making its way to Gaston’s Tavern in 2020. Is It On the Disney Dining Plan? Gaston’s Tavern is one of the Magic Kingdom locations where Disney Dining Plan credits can be used, and qualifying snack items are marked with the purple dining plan icon on menus. Since the Grey Stuff Cupcake is part of Gaston’s snack lineup, this is the kind of item people specifically look at for snack-credit use, but you should still double-check the icon in My Disney Experience or on the menu board when you order, because Disney can change eligibility. A current Disney Dining Plan value guide pegs the rough snack-credit breakeven at about $8. Airports have somehow become one of the weirdest social experiments on earth. Everyone is tired, everyone is hungry, everyone paid too much for a bottle of water, and yet somehow a shocking number of people still decide this is the perfect setting to behave like the main character in a one-person apocalypse movie. Orlando International Airport We recently asked our readers which airport trends they are totally over, and let’s just say the responses came in hot. Very hot. There was rage. There was sarcasm. There was one beautifully concise person who simply answered, “People. That’s it. That’s the list.” Frankly, that may be the most efficient airport review ever written. Still, a few complaints came up again and again, and if you’ve flown anywhere lately, especially on your way to or from Disney World, you’ve probably seen at least a few of them in the wild. Gate Lice Let’s start with the term that absolutely deserves its moment in the spotlight: gate lice. ©Getty Images If you’ve never heard it before, it refers to the people who swarm the boarding area long before their group is called, hovering at the scanner like they’re about to storm a castle instead of board a Southwest flight. Our readers had no patience for this one, with multiple people calling out travelers who stand there in the way despite being in later boarding groups. One person summed it up with, “Gate. Lice. Sit until you are called!!” Another added, “Stop lining up when I’m group 3 and you’re group 8.” Brutal. Accurate. Necessary. SFO Look, we get it. Everyone wants overhead bin space. Use Your Humanity Now for the part where we all take one deep breath into our overpriced airport coffee and remember we live in a society. Yes, some of these behaviors are wildly irritating. There are SO many different hotels around Walt Disney World. You have your value resorts, moderate resorts, and deluxe resorts, all with different levels of themeing, amenities, and more. DoubleTree Suites While you might know about those classic Disney spots, you might not know about some incredible hotels only steps away from Disney Springs! That’s why we’re taking you on a FULL TOUR of DoubleTree Suites by Hilton so you can make sure you don’t miss it while you’re planning your next Disney World vacation. If you’ve ever wanted to stay at Disney World but needed more space or a better price, we’re really excited to tell you about the DoubleTree Suites. This hotel is newly renovated, and it’s the only all-suite hotel in the Disney Springs Resort Area! The outside of the hotel It’s only a few minutes’ walk to Disney Springs, and it might surprise some long-time and new Disney visitors. While it might not have an overly “Disney” theme to it, you will notice touches of the mouse scattered around the lobby. The lobby! During our latest stop by the resort, we got to check out both of the types of rooms you can find here! First, we checked out the Standard Suite Room. This room has a separate living room with lots of space for you and your things. The suite! There’s a large sitting area with a sectional couch and a little table with an ottoman underneath it. According to the hotel’s website, the couch even turns into a queen pull-out bed. The couch Next to the couch, you have a lamp, phone, and a charging area with several outlets. The side table In the same area, you’ll find a table and chairs so you can dine, work, or relax! Next to that is where the wet bar is located. The table The wet bar includes several amenities, including a sink… The wet bar! … a microwave… The microwave … a coffee machine … A coffee maker! … and a mini fridge. The mini fridge! Inside the Standard Suite, you’ll find two Queen beds and a nightstand in between them. The Standard Suite Across from the bed, you’ll also find a second television and a dresser so you can unpack your things and relax with a movie on. The TV and dresser! There was a small hallway between the bedroom and the bathroom in the suite we checked out. This is where we found the full-body mirror, the closet, a small table, and a second mirror for checking for those last-minute touches before you head out the door. The small hallway! In the bathroom, you’ll find almost everything you need! One of the bathrooms! There’s a large mirror with LED lights around the edges. The bathroom Underneath the sink, you’ll find plenty of towels and extra toilet paper (although you can always request more). Plenty of towels! The hotel also provides a hair dryer, so you won’t have to pack your own. The hair dryer! There’s a spacious shower and bathtub so you can scrub off after those long theme park or pool days. Spacious shower! Inside the shower, you can find shampoo, conditioner, and shower gel in case you forget yours at home! The necessities! The hotel also provides a second kind of room, the Conference Suite! The Conference Suite offers one spacious private bedroom with two side tables, lots of charging outlets, and several pieces of artwork throughout the room. The living room, bathroom, and wet bar all offer the same type of amenities as the Standard Suite. The Conference Suite This hotel isn’t just about the rooms, though! Not only do they offer a daily shuttle to the four theme parks (which requires a shuttle reservation and you can contact the hotel for), but they also offer tons of different amenities around the hotel. Shuttle information! This hotel has the Evergreen Service Restaurant and Lounge! Yes, there’s a full restaurant, should you want to make things easy during meal time. The restaurant! Each morning, you can also find a Daily Breakfast Buffet bar, which can help save you money in the theme parks. Don’t want to get out of bed? You can order room service! The buffet! If you aren’t looking for a sit-down experience, you can also check out Made Market. Made Market It offers several grab-and-go options, plus there’s a coffee machine and a soda shop! Grab and go snacks from Made Market! The soda shop menu is a fun way to get a tasy drink that the entire family can try! The Soda Menu There’s also a heated swimming pool and whirlpool! If you’re having fun at the pool and get hungry, the DoubleTree has you covered. The pool! You can also check out the Poolside Cafe & Bar for easy snacking. The Poolside Cafe! If you get tired at the pool, you can also find a splash pad fountain for kids, a kids’ playground, and lighted tennis courts. They also offer a shopping kiosk near the pool in case you forgot any of your splashing needs. Grab what you need! Need to get your workout in? There’s a fitness center as well! Get your sweat on! If you need it, you can also head to the guest coin laundry on site! You might think, “Who does their laundry on vacation?”, and then you spill something all over you and realize your clothes might stain, and suddenly you’re the person who is grateful to be able to do laundry on vacation. You can also use the Valet Laundry service if you’d prefer that. The laundry! This hotel also boasts a complimentary business center for your business needs. Or if you’re like us when we were kids, and it’s empty, so you play the game “business people” with your family. The conference hall! There’s also a budget car rental on site. The car rental area! This hotel even has complimentary high-speed Wi-Fi across the grounds, including the pool. The view from the hotel! The hotel has 236 rooms for you to choose from! If you do stay at the DoubleTree, don’t let these resort fees catch you off guard. Self-parking is $25, the daily resort fee is $25, and the buffet breakfast is $25 per person. The daily resort fee includes the shuttle, guest internet access, DVD Now rentals (YES! They still have DVD rentals), 2 bottled waters daily, and kids Eat Free with each adult entree purchased. DVD Rentals! Plus, it’s Pet Friendly! It’s $75 for 1 to 4 nights, $125 for 5 or more nights. Your pet must be 40 pounds or less, it’s dogs or cats only, and there is a 2-pet maximum. You know how much we love Disney World food, after all, we’re LITERALLY called the Disney Food Blog! The Minnie Kitchen Sink Sundae Here at DFB, we eat at Disney World multiple times a week, every single week. We can’t help it, Disney World just has too many things to try, and then we want to go back and have what we already love. Since we’ve had so many different eats and treats at the park, you can imagine we’ve tried some pretty…interesting snacks! To that, we’d say, you’re correct, and we want to share them with you. So, take a look at some of the most utterly ridiculous snacks we’ve tried at Disney World! Croiss-Oh La La Since we tried this giant croissant, we haven’t been able to get it out of our heads — which is fitting considering it is literally as big as our heads! This treat is from Les Halles Boulangerie Patisserie, which you’ll find in the France Pavilion at EPCOT. Look at this thing! Les Halles Boulangerie Patisserie has been serving up this thing called the Croiss Oh La La, and it is literally a GIANT croissant dipped in chocolate. We’re not kidding when we say that this could EASILY be split with your family. Croiss Oh La La We really can’t express how truly HUGE this thing is. The pictures don’t do it justice. It barely fits on the plate it’s served on, and yet it’s still the same delicious, buttery, flaky croissant you can normally get at Les Halles. Just… a version that’s gonna make everyone stare at you when you go in to take a bite. It’s so fluffy! Now, forewarning, this croissant might not be available the next time you visit (and if it IS available, it tends to sell out pretty quickly in the morning), so just head on over to Les Halles shortly after rope drop if you wanna check on this giant pastry’s status. IT’S HUGE Creepy Crawly Critters Whenever it’s a hot day at Disney World, we love to get a sweet ice cream treat at Salt and Straw inside Disney Springs. There are lots of places to get ice cream, but this isn’t your average ice cream shop. They have your usual flavors, but they also have unique and interesting mixtures you won’t find anywhere else. Creepy Crawly Critters Ice Cream The flavors at Salt and Straw get even more bizarre when it comes to seasonal flavored ice creams throughout the year. We’ve seen crazy ones, but we have yet to see one top the Don Bugito’s Creepy Crawly Critters that shows up around October. It’s made with matcha ice cream, toffee-brittle, and…mealworms and chocolate crickets. No. Joke. It’s starting to melt and become bug soup While it’s fun to order Bug Ice Cream for the shock factor itself, Salt and Straw actually manages to make this ice cream SURPRISINGLY refreshing. You just… have to be willing to crunch and munch on a few buggy friends with each bite — which some won’t, and we TOTALLY understand! BUGS! Blood Bag At what point should we sit back and ask ourselves, “What are we eating?” That time hasn’t come yet, and at this point, it might never. Now, we have tried something called the Blood Donor…yeah…just save the comments for later. The Blood Donor The Edison over at Disney Springs tends to serve up some rather visually unique cocktails around spooky season. The most unique we’ve tried has to be the Blood Donor, which is made with blanco tequila, lime juice, and Salerno blood orange liqueur, all contained inside a blood bag (crazy, right?!). That’s not all! You literally have to SQUEEZE the blood (drink) into a cup to drink it. Blood Donor The visual about this still makes us shudder. If you’re looking for something jarring to spook you, check and see if this is gonna be offered during the 2026 season once Halloween starts to show up at Disney World — which is weirdly sooner than you think. Blood Donor Bag Fuzzy TaunTaun We’re assuming all the biggest Star Wars fans have been to Oga’s Cantina at Galaxy’s Edge inside Disney’s Hollywood Studios. If you haven’t, you NEED to check it out. The atmosphere, theming, and immersiveness make you feel like you’re getting a drink in the outer rim. Oga’s Cantina For our last shout, we realized that no ridiculous Disney snacks lists can ever be completed without a quick shoutout to the Fuzzy TaunTaun available at Oga’s Cantina. There are tons of unique drinks at Oga’s, both with AND without alcohol. However, the strangest of them all has to be the Fuzzy TaunTaun. This drink is made with Peach Vodka, Peach Schnapps, Orange juice, and “Buzz” Foam. Fuzzy TaunTaun The buzz foam is what makes this drink crazy, because that’s what’s gonna make your mouth go temporarily numb while you sip it. The foam is created with “Buzz buttons,” which are made from a Szechuan flower that’s claimed to be used as a natural painkiller. Um…why did Disney decide to go to THAT ingredient for their drink? We couldn’t tell you. But it is a fun and fruity drink that’s safe to consume. Hey, we’re on the run with a bounty on our heads anyway, so why not try this out?! Fuzzy Tuantuan drink at Oga’s Cantina Like we said, Disney World is FILLED with unique snacks and drinks like wouldn’t believe. We knew this was going to be big, but we can’t believe the number of permits Disney Imagineering just filed for this project coming to Disney’s Animal Kingdom! Tree of Life There are so many cool things coming to Disney World between Magic Kingdom’s Piston Peak and Villains Land, Hollywood Studios’ Monstropolis, and Animal Kingdom’s Tropical Americas. Disney has been making progress on all of them, but the progress on Tropical Americas has been most impressive, and it continues to show after Disney just filed nine…yes, NINE permits! Work is underway as Disney Imagineering transforms what was DinoLand USA into a Tropical Americas-themed land called Pueblo Esperanza at Disney’s Animal Kingdom. The new land is going to see brand-new attractions, dining, and experiences. Pueblo Esperanza Construction Walt Disney Imagineering recently filed nine new Notice of Commencement permits this week for several locations within the new land. All permits were listing Pro Audio Video Inc. as the contractor for the work, and the scope of the work is listed as “electrical.” There aren’t any other details to go off of beyond the addresses listed in the permits, but this is insane. Look at all the construction! Pro Audio Video, Inc. has worked with Disney on many projects in the past. Some of those projects include recent ones like Test Track 3.0, the new Animation Courtyard transformation at Hollywood Studios, Beak and Barrel at Magic Kingdom, and more! When looking at these nine new permits, the list of locations includes the Indiana Jones ride, the Encanto ride, the former Chester & Hester’s gift shop, the former Donald Duck meet-and-greet, Restaurantosaurus, the upcoming carousel, and the land’s entrance. Encanto is coming to Animal Kingdom! This is getting EXCITING! There is still a long…long way to go. However, the progress Disney has been making on this new land is shocking. There’s no official date as to when we can experience Tropical Americas, but 2027 doesn’t seem super far-fetched right now. We’ll just have to wait and see. Construction walls at Animal Kingdom The new land is going to include three new attractions, as well as dining, shopping, and most likely meet-and-greets. The attractions are the big draw! One will be a carousel featuring some of the most iconic and beloved Disney animals. Another will be the complete retheme of DINOSAUR into an Indiana Jones-based ride. Disney has confirmed it will be a new story, and not a copy of what’s in Disneyland. Pueblo Esperanza construction The biggest attraction the land will see is the first-ever Disney ride themed after Encanto! The ride will take you through the magical casita of the Madrigal family. We don’t have much information on the ride, but we can’t wait to hear what this one will deliver! It’s on its way! We’ll be constantly keeping an eye out for more news surrounding this land, as well as everything across Disney World. Maybe we’ll hear more during D23 this summer! For many Disney World hotel guests, the hotel pool is one of the highlights of their trip! Stormalong Bay at Disney’s Yacht and Beach Club Resorts From huge, feature-filled water playgrounds that are arguably comparable to water parks to small, quiet bastions of relaxation, there are plenty of options to choose from. But, even fun activities like Disney World hotel pools come with rules — and there are a few you should pay a bit more close attention to, or you’ll be caught off-guard! No Food & Drinks IN the Pool Okay, so this one may throw some people, as they’ll understandably respond with “But nearly every Disney World hotel has a pool bar!” And they’d be right, as hotels ranging from the value tiers like Pop Century… Petals Pool Bar …to the Deluxe Tier Grand Floridian feature pool bars with drinks and food menus. Beaches Pool Bar & Grill Obviously, those food and drink options can be enjoyed in the pool area, NOT in the pool. No, not even if you’re just sitting on the edge with your feet in the pool. However, there is one thing you won’t find at the pool bars. NO Glass Containers You won’t be bringing any of your drinks from the pool bars over to your chair in a glass cup or container, as real glass is BARRED from both the pools and the pool area for safety reasons. This couldn’t come into the pool area! Metal tumblers and plastic cups or containers are fine, though! Adult Supervision Children under the age of 12 must have adult supervision in the pool areas, including main and kiddie pools. So, sorry parents, but if your kids are 11 or under, you won’t be able to drop them off at the pool while heading out to enjoy an adult meal, etc. Fuentes del Morro Pool Now speaking of kids near the pool… Water Play Area Restrictions Any Disney hotel features adjacent water play areas, with fun theming and water features. However, these areas are reserved for kids who stand 48″ or under. So, no older kids, no teens, and no adults. Grand Floridian water play area. We know, we know, playing on these splash pads and playgrounds looks extremely fun; however, you’ll have to get your kicks somewhere else. You Can’t Pool Hop… with Some Exceptions So generally, Disney’s current rules don’t allow pool hopping to other resorts. Pool Rules at Disney’s Pop Century Resort However, there are a few exceptions: Guests at Port Orleans can use that hotel’s Doubloon Lagoon Pool, as well as Port Orleans — Riverside’s Ol’ Man Island and its large pool, spa, kiddie pool, a wading pool, and even a small water slide. Guests staying at any of Disney’s three All-Star Resorts (Sports, Music, or Movies) can visit any of the All-Star pools! At All-Star Music, there are the Calypso and Piano Pools, All-Star Movies has the Fantasia and Duck Pond Pools, and at All-Star Sports, you’ll find the Surfboard Bay and Grand Slam Pools. Finally, guests at Disney’s Yacht Club and Disney’s Beach Club Resorts can bounce between the Tidal, Admiral, and Dunes Cove Pools, as well as quite possibly all of Disney World: Stormalong Bay. With its sand-bottom pool, pirate ship slide, and lazy river, this complex is closer to a miniature water park than it is simply a pool! If you’re heading to the Magic Kingdom this May, there are some major changes you need to be prepared for. Magic Kingdom From scheduling changes, new offerings, and special events to a new show and the return of an iconic attraction, Disney World’s first theme park has a very busy month ahead. Big Thunder Mountain Returns After a refurbishment that lasted well over a year, the legendary Big Thunder Mountain Railroad is set to reopen on May 3rd. The ride, which has been closed since January 2025, is returning with “new magic,” including a fully refurbished track and a new sequence inspired by the Rainbow Caverns of Disneyland’s Mine Train Through Nature’s Wonderland. In conjunction with its reopening, the ride will be added to the park’s Tier 1 Lightning Lane selections. Big Thunder Mountain Railroad in Magic Kingdom Read more about the changes coming to Big Thunder Mountain HERE! An Early Closure The Magic Kingdom will be closing at 5:30 PM for a private event on May 13th, so if you’re planning to be at Walt Disney World that day, you’ll need different plans for nighttime entertainment and dining. Happily Ever After won’t be offered that night. The Toys are Back in Town The Diamond Horseshoe — one of the Magic Kingdom’s oldest and longest neglected eateries — is getting new life in May with the Toy Story-themed Jessie’s Roundup show during the Cool Kids Summer promotion. The show will feature allowing guests to join Jessie, Woody, and friends to craft, dance, and “yodel their hearts out.” The show will make the first live entertainment in the Diamond Horseshoe in over two decades. From the Magic Kingdom’s opening in 1971 through 2004, the restaurant — which has alternated between table service and quick service throughout its history — has hosted several incarnations of the Diamond Horseshoe Revue… and Goofy’s Country Dancin’ Jamboree. One of those things is certainly not like the other. The promotion begins May 26th. Diamond Horseshoe Early Entry Characters Also, during the Cool Kids Summer promotion, hotel guests eligible for Early Entry will be able to meet a rotating cast of Disney characters at each park — including the Magic Kingdom — before the park opens to the general public. Meaning that, at least some guests who usually rush to rides will instead try to knock out character meet & greets in the early morning. Judging by previous examples, there’s no list of which characters will be available in each park, but they WILL be different! Disney is encouraging guests to visit the different parks for Early Entry throughout their trip so they can take advantage of all the special meet and greets. Now, it’s important to note that this won’t take away from any of the regularly scheduled meet and greets in each park throughout regular park hours — it’s just in addition to what’s already scheduled. Early entry sign! After Hours Events The Magic Kingdom will play host to 4 After Hours Events during May, on May 4th, 11th, 18th, and 25th. The events allow guests to enjoy beloved attractions with lower wait times, and exclusively experience the Disney Enchantment fireworks spectacular, and enjoy snacks, included in the cost of this ticketed event. If you’re a frequent flyer with budget airlines, we have some pretty big news. ©Spirit Airlines According to ABC News, Spirit Airlines could be headed for liquidation. The popular budget airline hasn’t formally commented on the rumors, saying the company “[does not] comment on market rumors and speculation.” Despite this, reports are saying the airline could “go out of business overnight.” Earlier this week, reports started circulating that Spirit Airlines is “navigating financial restructuring” that could lead to the airline’s closure. Bloomberg shared that the airline could start selling off its assets in the next few days, according to multiple sources with knowledge of the situation. Spirit Airlines at Orlando Airport Despite the concerns, Katy Nastro, a travel expert with the airfare monitoring site Going, said there is “no way of knowing when and if an airline will liquidate, leaving customers stranded.” She also noted it isn’t a secret that the airline has been struggling for a few years after the pandemic. ©Spirit Airlines It is important to note that it’s pretty rare to see an airline liquidate, but Ben Mutzabaugh, senior managing editor for aviation at The Points Guy, said, “There’s not much more corrective action they can do — they are up against the wall.” He said if the liquidation does occur, that’s a good sign the airline will be going out of business. In the past, when airlines have liquidated in this way, they have essentially shut down “overnight,” according to a CBS reporter. ©Spirit Airlines If this does happen, other airlines already have plans in place for what’s called “rescue fares.” These tickets are discounted tickets that will offer people a one-way ticket home if Spirit were to actually shut down. While we can’t be sure what will happen just yet, if you’re flying with Spirit Airlines anytime soon, it will be a good idea to have a plan in place to get you home if needed. Spirit Airlines Spirit Airlines is continuing to operate normally, with flights taking off as scheduled and the company continuing to accept new bookings. The airline has filed for bankruptcy twice in recent years, once in August 2025 and earlier in November 2024. Many are listing rising fuel costs as an additional issue for the airline, as well as other budget airlines. Frontier Plane at the Orlando Airport The airline is Florida-based, so this could also mean issues for travelers headed to the beach or to theme parks this summer. So what do you do if you have a Spirit ticket booked right now? Katy Nastro says if their airline does liquidate, you should “not cancel outright, because then you forfeit your right to a refund if there’s still some money left over to be able to do so.” Experts also shared that those most likely to get their money back are the ones who booked with a credit card. This week, we got some HUGE news about Rock ‘n’ Roller Coaster Starring The Muppets. Yes, the Muppets are taking over Rock ‘n’ Roller Coaster in Disney’s Hollywood Studios, and now we know when folks will be able to ride the new attraction, from early previews to the roller coaster’s official opening date of May 26th. Rock ‘n Roller Coaster Starring The Muppets However, we also got a lot more DETAILS about the ride, including a first look, as well as a complete song list of what you’ll hear while you’re on the ride. Now, of course, Disney fans have some BIG opinions about this news, so let’s see what some of y’all had to say! So the biggest news we recently got about Rock ‘n’ Roller Coaster Starring The Muppets was the list of songs you’ll hear on the ride: “Song 2” by The Electric Mayhem (made famous by Blur) “Born To Be Wild” by The Electric Mayhem featuring Camilla the Chicken (made famous by Steppenwolf) “Love Rollercoaster” – The Electric Mayhem ft. Jennifer Hudson & Questlove “Rock! Rock! (Till You Drop)” – The Electric Mayhem ft. Def Leppard “Walking on Sunshine” – The Electric Mayhem ft. Kelly Clarkson Now, fans immediately commented that Disney might have missed out on a huge opportunity by not including an Aerosmith song, considering the ride’s roots. On Facebook, Nick commented, “Think this is a good list of songs, but I wouldn’t have at least put an Aerosmith song on there.That wasn’t featured on the original Ride instead of walking on sunshine.” [sic] ©Disney On Reddit, user dogsaybark wrote: “I only wish they had given us at least one Muppetafied Aerosmith track. Common! [sic] Respect history!“ Other fans didn’t seem to mind the ride getting rid of Aerosmith altogether. Oh, we are SO ready to make a splash! Blizzard Beach In case you didn’t know, we are totally obsessed with Disney World hotel perks. We love booking our Lightning Lanes early and getting those hard-to-snag dining reservations before the rest of the public, let alone all the free transportation and how close everything is to the parks. One perk we’re absolutely obsessed with is free tickets to the water parks! After patiently waiting, Disney has finally confirmed the Free Water Park Entry perk will return in 2027! Everybody, grab those goggles! Blizzard Beach On their website, Disney shared, “This benefit will also be available for Guests staying at an eligible Resort hotel in summer 2027, excluding the Campsites at Disney’s Fort Wilderness Resort. Stay tuned for more information and dates.” In 2026, the perk is only available from May 26th to September 8th, 2026, so we’re eager to see if that stays the same for next year. Pineapple Upside-down Cone at Typhoon Lagoon This hotel perk is a great way to start your vacation off in a strong way at no extra cost to you! When the perk begins, it will give Disney hotel guests free admission to one of Disney World’s water parks on the day they check in to the resort. As it currently operates, you cannot move your free admission to any other day of your visit, so it’s use it or lose it! Typhoon Lagoon This perk started in 2025 and allowed all guests for the year to have a free water park ticket on the day of their check-in to a Disney World hotel. In 2026, they changed it to only be during the summer months. Blizzard Beach This is such a great way to kick off your Disney World vacation. You likely aren’t going to buy a whole park pass for the first day of your trip, so the water park tickets let everyone registered in the room go to the water parks for free. If one water park is open, your ticket will be valid there, but if both water parks are open, you can choose one to visit.
