There are so many Disney World essentials that we pack for our park days. We need things like our perfect water bottle, sunscreen, sunglasses, and more to ensure that our day is comfortable and fun! AMKEN Waist Fan While there are a lot of “essentials” online, we try to keep our park bag necessities light so we only take what we ACTUALLY use. After putting this latest fan to the test for nearly a year, we can firmly say we won’t go to Disney World without it. DISCLOSURE: This post may contain affiliate links, meaning when you click the links and make a purchase, we receive a commission. There are days when it feels like you are standing on the face of the sun, but it turns out, you’re actually in Disney World. Some spots are better than others, but if you’ve ever been in the Slinky Dog Dash line in the middle of the day, you understand exactly what we mean. That’s why we feel especially passionate about this waist fan! AMKEN Waist Fan AMKEN Waist Fan This fan is the epitome of small but mighty! The AMKEN waist fan has been a staple in our theme park life for nearly a year and for good reason. This rechargeable fan can attach to your waistband, it can rest around your neck, or it can rest on a table to help cool you off. Clipping it onto our shirt! This fan is great for anyone who wants to cool themselves off during a hot day while still being hands-free. This fan has some serious power in it! We’ve used it for hours during truly hot days, and it has almost made us cold at different points in the day. In our experience, it can run on high for 4 hours without turning it off once, and we did that to test its full strength. Typically, we use it on and off throughout the day as needed. How it can prop up on tables! We love that it can run on 3 different cooling speeds to adjust to your specific needs at any time. This is great for parents, grandparents, kiddos, and more at any time of the year. It’s not silent by any means, but it isn’t super noticeable when we use it. AMKEN Waist Fan This fan packs a serious punch, AND it’s on sale at the time of writing. We couldn’t speak more highly of it if we wanted to. Grab your fan on Amazon! This is a great deal, it’s not overly bulky, and it works well! It’s easily one of our favorite fans we’ve ever used in the parks. View the full article

If you haven’t been to the theater recently, you’re about to book your next movie experience, because there’s a new popcorn bucket coming to AMC Theaters that is unforgettable. ©Universal Picture Whether the franchise is nostalgic for you, you cannot get enough of the original film (or one of the others, we don’t judge if you have a favorite!), there’s a new Shrek popcorn bucket coming VERY soon to celebrate the 25th anniversary of the original film, and you’ll want to act fast, because it may not last long! Now, the words “Shrek popcorn bucket” were already enough to get us VERY excited, but when we realized what it’s a popcorn bucket OF? Yeah, we lost our minds. It’s the outhouse — the popcorn bucket IS the outhouse from the franchise! ©AMC Theaters The Outhouse Popcorn Collectible will be available at select AMC Theaters beginning on May 1st. It comes with a large popcorn included in the price, which we love (because, hey, popcorn!). Yes, that also means that Shrek is coming back into select theaters for a limited time to celebrate the 25th Anniversary, and we know what we’re doing in early May, that’s for sure. It can be so overwhelming to figure out the best places to eat and grab snacks when planning your Disney vacation. Animal Kingdom One of the most difficult meals to figure out is breakfast. If you decide to hit the parks early for rope drop and skip breakfast at your resort, it can feel complicated to find good breakfast options inside the parks! That’s why we’re here. We recently stopped by the Kusafiri Coffee Shop and Bakery in Animal Kingdom to see if it was worth a visit on your next Disney trip! The Kusafiri Coffee Shop and Bakery is located at Animal Kingdom in Africa near Kilimanjaro Safaris! It fits in extremely well with the theming of the rest of the land, with the style of the sign and chipped walls matching the aesthetic of the rest of the buildings. Here you can find coffee, pastries, Breakfast Totchos, or an Egg and Bacon Croissant Sandwich for breakfast, then they serve bowls at lunch and dinner. However, this time around, we checked out an item on the breakfast menu! Kusafiri Coffee Shop & Bakery We grabbed the Guava and Cheese Danish for $5.29. This pastry is only available on the breakfast menu, and we found it to be a nice change of pace from the traditional theme park breakfast options! Guava Cheese Danish It’s familiar, but just different enough to make you pause. We expected the guava flavor to be overpowering, but that wasn’t the case at all. Instead, the guava was subtle, and the cream cheese took the flavor lead, which we were pleasantly surprised by! The cream cheese was thick, sweet, indulgent, and exactly what you crave after walking a few thousand steps, all before 10 a.m! sooo good! The croissant itself was flaky on the outside and nice and soft inside, and holds everything together nicely without overpowering the rest of the danish. Overall, the Danish was bright, tangy, sweet, and a delicious breakfast option at Animal Kingdom, and we would definitely grab it again! a great breakfast option! As for Kusafiri, it might look like the line is really long and will take a lot of time, but in our experience, the Cast Members move everyone through quickly, and it’s definitely not a reason to skip this spot! Let’s go to Kusafiri! We always make sure to review all the new snacks and drinks at Disney, so stay tuned with Disney Food Blog so you know exactly what you should try on your next Disney vacation! 4 Changes Coming To Animal Kingdom Next Month! The DFB team loves ALL Disney Parks, and we’ve had the opportunity to visit Disney’s parks around the world. Of course, our “home” Disney resort is Disney World, which is why we’re talking about it all the time. Disneyland However, believe it or not, we’ve got some huge Disneyland fans on our team, too. When one of our own decided to ask for recommendations for what to do in Disneyland, our passionate Disneyland-loving team members went ALL out to talk about their favorite things to see, do, and eat in Disneyland. Now, we’re going to share those tips with you. Warning: we LOVE almost everything about Disneyland, so this list could get long… The questions posed to our team involved the one ride one must do in Disneyland, the one snack that must be eaten, and the one parade or evening spectacular that is a must-see. One…give us a moment to stop laughing. JUST ONE? IMPOSSIBLE. When you love Disneyland as much as we do, we’re going to have to list out EVERYTHING we love about Walt’s OG park. Rides Disney California Adventure In Disney California Adventure, one of our must-dos is Guardians of the Galaxy: Mission Breakout. Sure, this used to be Tower of Terror, but it feels NOTHING like that now, and is one of those high-energy rides that leaves your adrenaline pumping, while you’re singing along to a great soundtrack. It’s funny how we had so many reservations about when the Tower of Terror closed to make this ride, but now we can’t imagine it any other way. Mission Breakout! But wait…someone else on our team prefers Radiator Springs Racers in Cars Land. Now, this is a FUN ride with a lot of fantastic theming and some roller coaster thrills for pretty much folks of all ages, so we get why it’s so popular. Pro tip: rope drop it, and you’ll end up with a shorter line. Otherwise, consider getting in the single rider line. Radiator Springs Racers But wait, we’ve got another contender for the one must-do ride in California Adventure. That’s Incredicoaster, which is themed to The Incredibles. It’s a fun roller coaster that’s a lot like Rock ‘n’ Roller Coaster in Disney World, but it’s all outdoors, so you actually know when you’re going through the loop. It’s exciting! This one also has a single rider line that you might want to take advantage of. Incredicoaster Funny…no one mentioned the Pixar Pal-A-Round swinging gondolas, formerly known as the Mickey Wheel of Death. There’s a reason we choose to stay FAR away from that ride, and if you ever visit Disneyland and hear the screams coming from those gondolas, you’ll know why… Disneyland Obviously, Disneyland Park is pretty much the favorite, so we have a lot of opinions about the must-do rides. However, the focus is mostly on rides that are different from those in Disney World, and that includes Pirates of the Caribbean, which is longer, more interesting, and just way better in Disneyland. Pirates of the Caribbean Space Mountain also got a few mentions because it’s completely different in Disneyland. The ride vehicles are different (and way more comfortable), the track is different, and more. Now, a warning: when I first visited Disneyland, I did not know Space Mountain was different and rode it and discovered it sort of goes in a corkscrew, which is something that generally does not sit well with people who suffer from motion sickness. Lesson learned. Disneyland’s Space Mountain Indiana Jones Adventure is another ride that got a mention because Disney World doesn’t have anything like it…yet. Yes, it’s the same ride track as Dinosaur had, and it will probably be the same ride track that the new Disney World Indiana Jones ride will have, but for now, the Disneyland ride is still unique. Plus, Disney promised the ride in Disney World will have a different story. Indiana Jones Adventure Finally, someone else mentioned the Alice in Wonderland ride in Disneyland. Disney World has NOTHING like it, so it’s a must. Don’t worry…the line often looks long, but it moves fairly quickly. Food You want some passionate discussion? You ask any DFB team member about food. Obviously, it’s why we’re here! When it comes to Disneyland food, we LOVE a lot of it, starting with churros. Forget any churro you may have had from a Disney World cart…those aren’t good churros. The churros in Disneyland are next level to the point you may be having churros for breakfast every morning of your Disneyland trip (yep, I’m guilty). They also come in a variety of flavors with a variety of dips. Disney100 Churro The cookies at Harbour Galley are also popular enough for us to mention them (and truth be told, we LOVE THEM). Then there’s that Cheddar Cheese Stick at Corn Dog Castle (it’s fried cheese on a stick — how can we not love it?). We’re also obsessed with the Cheesy Garlic Pretzel Bread at Edelweiss Snacks. Mickey beignets are also a must, along with corn dogs from Little Red Wagon. Hnad-dipped corn dog Basically, we’re obsessed with almost ALL the food in Disneyland. When it comes to food, we think Disneyland may beat out Disney World for tne best snacks. Entertainment Well, it seems we just love ALL of Disney’s parades and nighttime shows, starting with the Paint The Night parade, which should stick around at least through the rest of Disneyland’s 70th Anniversary Celebration. After that, we’re hoping that the Magic Happens parade returns (which is the best Disney parade ANYWHERE), but we’re not holding our breaths. Paint the Night Parade World of Color — One over in California Adventure also got some mentions, with one of our team members referring to it as “life-changing.” It is a fantastic nighttime spectacular, so if you have time to catch it, you SHOULD. Although we spend a lot of time in Disney World, we’re also very passionate about Disneyland, but honestly, anything you do there is sure to make you happy. It is, after all, “The Happiest Place on Earth.”‘ We’ll keep sharing our best Disney Parks tips with you, so stay tuned to DFB for more. 4 New Rules Disneyland Is Enforcing in 2026 DON'T DO IT ALONE! We have eaten at every restaurant in Disney World, but we aren’t stopping there! Even though we have dined everywhere you can dine at Disney World, we still revisit locations to try different items and provide our readers with the most up-to-date reviews. Just because a restaurant was good the first time, it doesn’t mean it will always be good. We always want to make sure you know the best places to dine at Disney World, which means keeping our reviews up to date! Les Halles Boulangerie-Patisserie We recently stopped by Les Halles Boulangerie-Patisserie in the France Pavilion in EPCOT to grab a bite to eat. Now we are bringing you our full review. Is it worth a stop on your next trip to the Most Magical Place on Earth? Find out here! Atmosphere You can find Les Halles Boulangerie-Patisserie tucked away in the back of the France Pavilion in EPCOT. However, even though it is slightly tucked away, it is a popular dining spot, and you will likely find a line here! Les Halles Boulangerie-Patisserie The line can look a bit intimidating sometimes, but it usually moves pretty quickly, and we think it is worth the wait. Quite the line! The line will loop around and take you by all the display cases filled with a lovely assortment of items. It is a quick-service restaurant, so you will order your food at the counter, then find your own seating. There is a seating area right outside the line area; however, during busy times, it can be hard to find a table here. Of course, you can also take your food with you and grab a seat or table somewhere else. Seating Les Halles Boulangerie-Patisserie is a favorite here at DFB. You can satisfy a sweet tooth with fresh pastries and desserts, select from a variety of sandwiches, or even grab an entire baguette to go. Even if you get in line for one item, we usually find ourselves finding other items along the way, too. All the yummy items are so hard to resist! So many options! Let’s take a look at what is on the menu! Menu There are many options at Les Halles Boulangerie-Patisserie! A lot of times, we like to let our eyes do the shopping as we browse the display cases, but that can also feel a bit overwhelming. Here is a look at the menu, starting off with sandwiches and specialties. Menu You can also choose from viennoiseries (French baked goods), tartes, and other desserts. Menu There are also plenty of beverage options, including wine and beer. Menu Also, keep an eye out for additional signs on the counters for other specials. While we were here, Les Halles Boulangerie-Patisserie was still offering the giant Croiss-Oh-La-La and the Bear Shaped Chocolate. Croiss Oh La La And now, onto the main event — the food! Eats First up, we grabbed the Pissaladiere for $6.95. This features goat cheese, onions, herbs, and parmesan. Looks can be deceiving when it comes to food, and the Pissaladiere is a great example. While it might not look like it will knock your socks off at first glance, this item packed way more flavor than we gave it credit for! Pissaladiere The goat cheese is the star of this dish (so if you aren’t a fan of goat cheese, you may want to opt for something else). It is creamy and tangy, and is a great complement to the fluffy sourdough bread. We wish the herbs had a bit more flavor against the goat cheese, but we still enjoyed the hint of freshness they added. For just under $7, we think this is a great portion for an afternoon snack! Pissaladiere We also grabbed the Croissant Salé for $9.75. This is a croissant with eggs, cheese, and bacon. We love that this is warmed to order, so you don’t have to worry about it being cold from sitting too long. Croissant Salé The croissant is flaky and buttery; everything you could ask for in a delicious croissant! The scrambled eggs were cooked well and were paired with well-rendered bacon. The ratio of croissant to egg to bacon to cheese worked well, and overall, we thought this was a delicious sandwich. It is like an upgraded breakfast sandwich, and we think this would be a great way to fuel your EPCOT day. Croissant Salé Nosh or Not This Disney World restaurant is a must-visit if… You are looking for something you can eat on the go. It is super easy to stop by Les Halles Boulangerie-Patisserie to grab some food to go. There is limited seating available, but everything is ready to take on the go. You want a good breakfast option in EPCOT. We thought the Croissant Salé was tasty and filling. That is just one of the great breakfast options here that will also keep you fueled throughout the day. From croissants to pastries, we think this is a great option to start your day. You have picky eaters in your group. We think this could be a great option if you have some pickier eaters in your group. There are many bread, meat, and cheese options that picky eaters might enjoy. You should skip this Disney World spot if… You want to experience French cuisine at a table service restaurant. While you can try some French pastries and sandwiches at Les Halles Boulangerie-Patisserie, it is a quick-service restaurant, and it can sometimes be difficult to find a seat. We recommend heading over to Chefs de France or La Creperie de Paris for a table-service experience. You are looking to grab a really quick bite. We usually see a line at Les Halles Boulangerie-Patisserie. While it usually moves pretty quickly, it can still take a bit of time to get your food. You want a relaxed dining atmosphere. We love Les Halles Boulangerie-Patisserie, but it can also feel a bit chaotic here. From the line to the busy seating area, if you want a more calming environment, you might head over to a table-service restaurant such as Le Cellier Steakhouse or La Hacienda de San Angel. Overall We thought both of the food items we tried were fresh and delicious. The Pissaladiere packed a surprising punch of flavor. The Croissant Salé was an upgraded breakfast sandwich that was flaky, buttery, and satisfying. We keep returning to Les Halles Boulangerie-Patisserie for its delicious food. Whether you are in the mood for something sweet or savory, we think you will find something you enjoy here. While we wish it had a bit more seating, we are willing to do some table hunting to enjoy our food here! Les Halles Boulangerie-Patisserie In the meantime, we’ll be on the lookout for more restaurant updates from Disney World and beyond. Well, we’re in that odd lull time in Disney World between spring break and Memorial Day. That means we don’t see a lot of new themed snacks arrive in the parks, although we are getting a ton of new Star Wars snacks pretty soon to celebrate May the 4th. Chocolate Filled Baked Wheat Cake However, it’s only a matter of time before we get a list of snacks coming to the parks for the 4th of July, and before you know it, we’ll blink and Halloween season will be here. Cinco de Mayo is coming up soon, and if you’re hoping to celebrate in Disney Springs, we’ve got the restaurant for you! Frontera Cocina Frontera Cocina is one of our favorite spots in Disney Springs for some delicious Mexican eats, and for Cinco de Mayo, that’s certainly brought up another level! From May 2nd-6th, you can experience a special menu that’s only around for Cinco de Mayo, and we got a sneak peek at it to convince you to check it out before it’s gone! The Cinco de Mayo Brunch will be available from May 2nd through May 5th, and in addition to special menu items, you can also enjoy a live mariachi band! It’s time to celebrate! We started off with the Mango Popsicle Margarita, but there are numerous other popsicles available as well. This was so refreshing and a great way to keep the drink cold without too much ice. As the popsicle melts, more and more mango flavor comes out, and we overall thought this was such a fun way to present a flavored margarita. It’s strong, but highly enjoyable! Mango Popsicle Margarita We also tried the Hola Hugo, which is a light and refreshing cocktail with blanco tequila, botanical liqueur, and a hint of elderflower. This was delicious, and those hints of elderflower in every sip were divine. The lime juice adds a hint of acid, which balances it wonderfully. Overall, this is a perfect spring cocktail that we would absolutely order again! Hola Hugo For our starter, we got the Chipotle Chicken Flautas for $15. These are Crispy chipotle chicken tortilla flautas, Chihuahua cheese, red garlicky beans, roasted tomatillo-avocado salsa, garnished with crema, Cotija cheese, and fresh herbs. The crema drizzle is super creamy, and the cabbage slaw adds even more crunch. The tomatillo salsa is smoky and balanced with great acidity, and dipping every bite is an absolute must! Chipotle Chicken Flautas We also grabbed the Guacamole and Chips starter in its “Fully Dressed” form for $16, which is topped with cilantro, onion, bacon, serrano peppers, cotija cheese, pepitas, and tomatoes. The guacamole is so perfectly creamy, and those toppings really set it apart from regular guacamole. It’s also served with tomatillo salsa and a classic red salsa, and we loved drizzling a little bit of the tomatillo salsa all over the top. The chips are clearly housemade, being crispy, crunchy, and absolutely delicious all around. Guacamole and Chips For our first entree, we got the Huevos Motuleños for $19. This is two fried eggs on crispy tostada with roasted tomatoes, spicy habanero, country ham, peas, sweet fried plantains, queso fresco, white onion, cilantro, and black beans refritos. This dish is well-cooked with many traditional breakfast flavors. We do recommend putting on some salsa, because without it, the flavors fall a little flat, but with it, they soar! However, if you’re heat-averse, we suggest ordering the tomatillo salsa on the side and drizzling it over the entire dish. Huevos Motuleños We also got a chance to try the Chilaquiles for $18, which is made with Poblano rajas, cotija and chihuahua cheese, black beans, tortilla strips, fried egg, with your choice of salsa roja or salsa verde. Chilaquiles Our final dining option was none other than Pancakes for $10, which are Mini cornmeal pancakes with butter and maple syrup. Pancakes These were delicious! They taste like a sweet, breakfast version of a corn cake. They are served simply with whipped butter and maple syrup and were, as we were hoping, a hit. They were perfectly cooked, but not heavy at all, which is essential for brunch, in our eyes. We suggest ordering these as a side to cool down after a spicier entree, and they are sweet enough that they could almost be dessert at the end of a meal! Disneyland is always evolving, and if you’ve been visiting for years, you already know that what worked on your last trip might not fly anymore. Disneyland From updated park policies to new tech, 2026 is bringing a handful of changes that could seriously impact how you plan your day. We’re breaking down some of those changes and what you’ll want to know before you book your next vacation to the Southern California theme park resort. Facial Recognition Technology Is Expanding The Disney Parks have fully embraced the digital age — and the Disneyland Resort is no exception. In fact, Disneyland is leaning further into biometric technology in 2026, with expanded use of facial recognition systems at entry points. New facial recognition sign These lanes are optional for the time being, and you can find signage posted all over the resort right now that includes some in-depth information on the new tech. Ultimately, Disney is trying to use facial recognition to speed up lines and reduce ticket misuse — but it also means the days of casually sharing tickets or skirting the system are pretty much over. Disneyland entrance scanners While Disney has stated this is about efficiency and security, some guests are still getting used to the idea of more advanced tech being part of the park experience. For now, opting in is up to you, but we’ll see how long that remains the case. Security Rules Are Getting Stricter If it feels like security is taking a little longer lately, you’re not imagining things. As the world continues to change, so does Disneyland’s enforcement of bag checks and prohibited items in 2026. The resort is consistently updating its policies to prohibit newer items (like vapes) that it doesn’t want inside its parks, shopping districts, and hotels. Security Lines The resort is also taking a closer look at oversized bags, loose ice, and certain types of containers. They’re also being more consistent about enforcing stroller size limits and mobility device guidelines. Unlike Disney World, Disneyland still uses old-school metal detectors and bag checkers, and that process doesn’t seem to be changing in 2026. Make sure you check the Disneyland website for a list of approved and banned items before your visit. No Cell Phones Allowed Out on Certain Rides If you’re used to filming your entire ride-through, this one’s a big shift. Disneyland is cracking down on having phones and loose items out on select attractions — especially faster rides or those with more intense movements like Mickey and Minnie’s Runaway Railway. No Cell Phones Cast Members have been stopping guests before boarding and reminding them to secure their phones, bottles, glasses, Mickey/Minnie ears, and other loose items completely. This is a total safety issue, and this rule change makes all the sense in the world. Park Hopping Changes As of this writing, park hopping between Disneyland Park and Disney California Adventure can only begin at 11 AM…but that’s about to change. The Disneyland esplanade — from here, you are feet away from everything Disneyland has to offer! Later this year, Disneyland will eliminate the 11 AM rule — and you’ll be able to move between the two parks without worrying about the time. We still don’t know when this change will go into effect, but we’ll let you know as soon as it’s announced. DCA Entrance If there’s a constant about the Disney Parks, it’s that they never stay the same for too long. We’re always keeping up with all the latest changes, so stay tuned right here at the Disney Food Blog for every update! 4 Curfews Disneyland Is Enforcing in 2026 Join the DFB Newsletter to get all the breaking news right in your inbox! There’s no denying that Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind is one of the most popular attractions in Walt Disney World. Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind Since the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU)-themed coaster opened back in 2022, the ride has consistently been swamped from rope drop to park close, and often tops the list of Disney World’s highest average wait time each week. Given that popularity, it’s unsurprising that Lightning Lane Single Passes — which allow guests to secure a time to ride one of Disney’s most highly demanded attractions for an additional charge — are often in high demand, selling out quickly. So, if you find yourself heading to EPCOT this year and wondering how to get a Lightning Lane Single Pass for Cosmic Rewind, and how much it will probably cost you, we’re here to help. Cosmic Rewind Lightning Lane Let’s begin with the former: To score a Lightning Lane for Cosmic Rewind, you’ll want to try getting one as early as possible, meaning it would benefit you to get one as early as possible. This is where being a Disney World hotel guest comes in, as those booked for Disney World hotel guests can begin booking Lightning Lanes 7 days in advance of their arrival date, as opposed to 3 days before their park day for non-hotel guests. Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind If you can score a Lightning Lane in July, we’re guessing you’re going to wind up paying somewhere around $20 and $22 per guest for them. July is typically a very busy month at Walt Disney World, serving as the apex of the vacation season. In 2025, July Lightning Lane prices for Cosmic Rewind averaged between $16 and $18. Cosmic Rewind However, in the final months of 2025, prices went up across the board, into the $19-$21 range, and have remained there through the early months of 2026. In fact, through the middle of May, there haven’t been ANY days under $19, and fewer than 25 days at $19. Given the usual crowd numbers for July, it seems there will be many days at the “lowest” price, hence our projected $20 to $22 range. Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind If you’re heading to EPCOT this July and planning on experiencing Guardians of the Galaxy Cosmic Rewind with a Lightning Lane Single Pass, you should expect to pay about $21 a head to do so. Disney announced that a popular change is coming to the Disney Dining Plan, and here’s everything you need to know before you book it. Our meal at Cinderella’s Royal Table The Disney Dining Plan is a prepaid meal plan that sets the number of meals and snacks that you can get during your trip. This is a popular option for Disney World visitors due to the Dining Plan’s convenience and ease of use. However, Disney just announced there will be a new dining plan coming in 2027, so how do you know which one is a good fit for you? We’re here to help! In 2027, you can choose from 3 Disney Dining Plans: the Quick-Service Dining Plan, the Table-Service (or Standard) Dining Plan, or the Deluxe Table-Service Dining Plan. We’re going to focus on deciding between the Table-Service Dining Plan and the Deluxe Table-Service Dining Plan. ©Disney Deluxe Disney Dining Plan Disney World previously had a Deluxe Dining Plan, but it never returned after the pandemic-related park closures. The Deluxe Table-Service Dining Plan differs from the Standard Table-Service Dining Plan in that it includes TWO (2) table-service meals per night of stay, instead of just one. Royal Prime Rib Roast The Deluxe Table-Service Dining Plan also used to include two snack credits, but now only includes one, like the other plans. Additionally, it used to include THREE Table Service OR Quick Service meals — you could choose which you wanted (the new appears to have it assigned as 2 Table-Service and 1 Quick-Service). ©Disney The Disney Deluxe Table-Service Dining Plan costs $163.01 per adult per night, ages 10 and up, and $46.85 per child per night, ages 3 to 9. This dining plan includes: Two table service entrées, dessert (lunch and dinner only), OR full buffet; Guests under 21 years of age can choose one non-alcoholic beverage with their Quick Service and Table Service meal (including specialty beverages for guests 10 years old and over — i.e., Artisanal Milk Shakes, Fresh Smoothies, Premium Hot Chocolates, or Soda, Coffee, or Tea — where offered). Guests 21 and older can choose either one non-alcoholic beverage (including specialty beverages where offered) or one single serving mixed cocktail, beer, or wine (where offered) within their meal entitlement. One quick service meal, including entrée OR combo meal; Guests under 21 years of age can choose one non-alcoholic beverage with their Quick Service and Table Service meal (including specialty beverages for guests 10 years old and over — i.e., Artisanal Milk Shakes, Fresh Smoothies, Premium Hot Chocolates, or Soda, Coffee, or Tea — where offered). Guests 21 and older can choose either one non-alcoholic beverage (including specialty beverages where offered) or one single serving mixed cocktail, beer, or wine (where offered) within their meal entitlement. One snack/nonalcoholic drink One Resort refillable drink mug per person, per package Disney World Resort Refillable Mug Standard Disney Dining Plan The Standard Disney Dining Plan is less expensive, but it comes with less, and in 2027, it will cost: $99.87 per adult per night, ages 10 and up, and $31.94 per child per night, ages 3 to 9. In 2027, it will be renamed the Table-Service Dining Plan. Boatwright’s Dining Hall The Table-Service Dining Plan includes: One table service entrée, dessert (lunch and dinner only), OR full buffet; Guests under 21 years of age can choose one non-alcoholic beverage with their Quick Service and Table Service meal (including specialty beverages for guests 10 years old and over — i.e., Artisanal Milk Shakes, Fresh Smoothies, Premium Hot Chocolates, or Soda, Coffee, or Tea — where offered). One snack/nonalcoholic drink One Resort refillable drink mug per person, per package Meatloaf Main Plate at Chef Art Smith’s Homecomin’ The Disney Dining Plan is so convenient for your trip. All you have to do when you get to Disney World is: Head to a restaurant on the list of participating locations EAT! And scan your MagicBand, Key to the World card, or Disney MagicMobile pass Who Can Benefit from the Deluxe Dining Plan The Deluxe Table Service Dining Plan is made for foodies! If your travel party is looking to enjoy multiple sit-down meals per day and uses dining as breaks from the day, this would work well for you. If your travel party likes structure to their day and sees the dining plan as a convenient part of your trip, you would enjoy the Deluxe plan. If you want to dine at fine dining restaurants or do multiple character meals, this plan could help save you money. And if you are someone who enjoys eating three full meals a day at Disney World, this is the only plan that will give you the credits to do so. Liberty Tree Tavern The price difference between the Deluxe and the Table-Service plan is $63.14 per night, which would be about the cost of a Table-Service meal (depending on the restaurant and on what you order). If you want to do the Deluxe plan, we suggest maximizing your plan by ordering higher-priced items. Roundup Rodeo BBQ Who Can Benefit from the Table-Service Dining Plan For guests who want more flexibility and who are prioritizing rides over dining, the Table-Service Dining Plan would be sufficient. Multiple Table-Service meals a day can eat away at your time — think between two and a half to four hours, depending on your dining experience. If you have multiple dining reservations per day, this can also make your day very structured. If you like to snack around for one of your meals per day, the Table-Service is a great option since you only have 2 meal credits per day. Full breakfast spread at Satu’li Canteen DFB is here to help you know all about the Dining Plans at Disney World so you can make the right decision for your vacation. Big news, Disneyland fans! While Disney World has been under tons of construction for the past few years (does it kinda feel like forever to anyone else? That’s a different story, let me get us back on topic), there are TONS of projects happening over at Disneyland Resort as well. Disneyland Monorail One of the largest construction projects has been the temporary closure of the Disneyland Monorail, which makes getting around the park, and to and from Downtown Disney, much easier. It closed for refurbishment on March 30th, but now, we finally have a reopening date! The Disneyland Monorail officially reopens on May 1st, according to the Disneyland calendar! While the Monorail page itself doesn’t have it listed, when we went forward on the calendar, we could see times listed again beginning on May 1st. ©Disney As with all of Disney’s refurbishment and construction projects, it’s entirely possible this could be pushed back or moved at any given time. We’ll be sure to keep a close eye out, though, and will update you if that happens. Disneyland Monorail There are two monorail stations inside Disneyland Resort — one inside Tomorrowland in Disneyland Park, and the other inside Downtown Disney. However, you’ve got to have a park ticket to board the Monorail from Downtown Disney to make your way into Disneyland, so that’s important to keep in mind. If your ticket is for Disney California Adventure (or isn’t a park hopper ticket), you won’t be able to board. More Recent Disneyland Resort News! As the summer vacation season creeps up upon us for 2026, those looking to book a trip to Walt Disney World this year have something NEW to consider. Disney’s Caribbean Beach Resort At the start of the year, Disney changed how it categorizes rooms in one of its most popular hotel tiers, which could lead to some confusion among long-term guests familiar with the traditional nomenclature. Beginning with 2026 bookings, Disney adjusted the names of some of the room categories at their Moderate Tier Resorts: Disney’s Caribbean Beach Resort Disney’s Coronado Springs Resort Disney’s Port Orleans Resort—French Quarter Disney’s Port Orleans Resort—Riverside The main categories are now Standard Room, Preferred Room, or a room with a king bed. Some Disney Moderate Resorts will continue to offer additional categories, such as the Royal Guest Room at Disney’s Port Orleans Resort—Riverside. The rooms are now categorized by location rather than view. According to Disney, at the time of the initial announcement, the change was made to “simplify room categories and to improve Guests’ check-in experience.” Coronado Springs Resort Room Once you’ve memorized Disney’s new room names, it may also be worth knowing that the company is offering some unprecedented discounts this summer. These include savings of up to 30% on rooms at select Disney Resorts Collection hotels for stays most nights from May 1st to July 29th, 2026. Port Orleans Riverside Guests can save up to 30% for stays of 5 or more consecutive nights and 25% for stays of 1 to 4 consecutive nights at Disney’s Deluxe Tier Resorts, 25% off stays of 5 or more nights and 20% or stays of 1 to 4 nights at select Disney Moderate and Value Tier Resorts, and 20% off stays of 5 or more nights and 15% off stays of 1 to 4 nights at select Moderate and Value Tier Resorts, as well as the Fort Wilderness Campground. Doubloon Lagoon Pool at Port Orleans 2026 has seen a major change to Disney’s booking process at Moderate Tier Resorts, which may take a bit of getting used to for longtime guests. Hotels have been a major part of the Walt Disney World experience since the Magic Kingdom opened back in 1971, and hotel guests have always had access to numerous perks while staying on property, ranging from transportation to dining and park access. Art of Animation That tradition continues to this day, and guests checking into Disney World hotels in May will find some major new, returning, and limited-time changes! Early Entry Additions Guests staying at Disney Resort hotels (and select other hotels) can take advantage of a 30 Minute Early entry into each of Walt Disney World’s theme parks every day of their stay (including check-in and check-out days). This perk is one of Disney World’s most popular, and May will see a trio of new takes on old favorites joining the offerings. Early Entry at EPCOT Millennium Falcon: Smugglers Run W/Mando & Grogu In conjunction with the release of the new Star Wars The Mandalorian & Grogu feature film on May 22nd, Millennium Falcon: Smuggler’s Run will see the addition of a new mission based on the titular character and his youngling Grogu (Baby Yoda, to those of you unfamiliar with the Galaxy Far, Far Away). According to Disney, as part of the new experience, “the crew will be in control of their own destination, leading to potential adventures on Bespin, the wreckage of the second Death Star around Endor, or the just-announced bustling city-planet, Coruscant.” In addition, another new gameplay addition allows the engineer positions to communicate with Grogu, making them much more “important” to the ride’s overall story and narrative. ©Disney Soarin Over America In celebration of America’s 250th birthday this coming July, EPCOT’s Soarin’ will receive an “all-new airborne adventure across the US, honoring the heart and spirit of the nation.” Disney even brought in “aviation” legend Patrick Warburton (IYKYK) to announce the overlay, which will be opening at Disney World on May 26th. ©Disney Rock ’n’ Roller Coaster Starring The Muppets The original Aerosmith iteration of the Rock ’n’ Roller Coaster closed in early March to make way for a new Muppet-themed version, as the “Bad Boys of Boston” are being replaced by a new theme starring The Muppets! According to Disney, the ride will be “fueled by the tasty tunes of the Electric Mayhem and the high-speed hijinks of The Muppets” with a soundtrack including Muppet takes on songs like “Song 2”, “Born to be Wild”, “Walking on Sunshine”, “Love Rollercoaster,” and “Rock! Rock! (Till You Drop).” The coaster is also set to debut on May 26th. ©Disney Cool Kids’ Summer Speaking of returns, the Cool Kids’ Summer promotion is also back from May 26th to September 8th, and there are a slew of associated perks at the Caribbean Beach Resort, Port Orleans Resort – Riverside, Art of Animation, and Pop Century. Pop Century The include: Scheduled Character Appearances: Meet some favorite Disney pals—like Mickey Mouse and Minnie Mouse—during scheduled appearances. Special Libraries: Little ones can celebrate Disney stories in libraries provided by Disney Publishing, where the magic of their imaginations can come alive with tales of princesses, heroes, and more. Pajama Party: Wind down with your family during story time! Participate in a “create your own bedtime story” activity, where the magic of a good book comes to life with the arrival of a favorite Disney Character. Pool Party: Make a splash at a high-energy poolside experience with games and music for the whole family. Campfire: Gather ‘round for a celebration filled with marshmallows and Disney-infused entertainment. Skyliner at Caribbean Beach The Water Park Perk is BACK! In 2025, Disney introduced a new water park perk for hotel guests, which gave each member of their party admission to one of Walt Disney World’s water parks on their check-in day. The perk is returning from May 26th to September 8th. Blizzard Beach Guests checking into a Disney hotel this May should keep these changes in mind and plan to take advantage of some of these guest perks while they’re available! In just one month, Disney’s Hollywood Studios is about to look a lot different! We are in the final countdown before some BIG changes hit the park, and we are counting down the days. Rock ‘n’ Roller Coaster Starring The Muppets One of the changes we are looking forward to is Rock ’n’ Roller Coaster Starring The Muppets! We are just one month away from its opening on May 26th, 2026, and we are eagerly awaiting the chance to hop into a limo and jam out with The Muppets. Rock ‘n’ Roller Coaster Starring The Muppets is a re-theme of the previous Rock ‘n’ Roller Coaster Starring Aerosmith. G-Force Records, now run by stage manager Scooter with help from Kermit, Miss Piggy, and more, will be working with The Electric Mayhem Band on their biggest show. The ride starts with a VIP pass to see Electric Mayhem at G-Force Records with Kermit and Miss Piggy. There’s just one big problem: the band has been rocking out so hard that they lost track of time and are running late for their big show! So it’s up to you to help them get there with the help of a L.I.M.O., aka Lengthy Immediate Motion Objects. ©Disney Similar to the previous Aerosmith version of Rock ‘n’ Roller Coaster, you will get to jam out to classic rock songs during the roller coaster ride. Here is a look at the song options: “Song 2” — The Electric Mayhem “Born To Be Wild” — The Electric Mayhem featuring Camilla the Chicken “Love Rollercoaster” – The Electric Mayhem ft. Jennifer Hudson & Questlove “Rock! Rock! (Till You Drop)” – The Electric Mayhem ft. Def Leppard “Walking on Sunshine” – The Electric Mayhem ft. Kelly Clarkson Rock ‘n’ Roller Coaster is looking different! We have been keeping a close eye on the progress at G-Force Records. The iconic upside-down car has gotten a new paint job, and the entryway arch is now dark gray, featuring new G-Force Records logo signs. As well, inside the courtyard, the ride building has been painted a dark gray, almost black. Back in April, Disney also announced that there would be previews for cast members, eligible Disney Vacation Club Members, and Annual Passholders. We are still waiting for more details about the previews, but we will keep you updated as we learn more! The new paint! Disney also recently gave us a peek inside the queue for the attraction, and we can’t wait to see it in person! In the video released by Disney, Imagineer Ben Conway, who is an Associate Set Director on Rock ‘n’ Roller Coaster Starring the Muppets, is shown working on some details in the queue. The video showed some of the hidden details in the queue, including a big box labeled “The Great Gonzo Weird Stuff,” rubber chickens, a Gonzo statue, and more. We can’t wait to get inside and see what else we can spot! ©Disney May 26th is a big day at Disney World! Not only is Rock ‘n’ Roller Coaster Starring The Muppets opening on May 26th, but Cool Kids’ Summer officially kicks off at Disney World. As part of the celebration, The Walt Disney Studios area, which is replacing Animation Courtyard in Hollywood Studios, will also be opening! Bluey’s Wild World at Conservation Station in Disney’s Animal Kingdom will also be opening, Jessie’s Roundup at the Diamond Horseshoe in Magic Kingdom will make its debut, GoofyCore will return to CommuniCore Hall at EPCOT, and so much more. It is going to be a day packed full of exciting new things! ©Disney Of course, we will be there to bring you full coverage of all the openings and all the Cool Kids’ Summer happenings. Bunk Beds on an Airplane? No, We’re Not Kidding!
Disney4me posted a topic in Disney Food/Restaurants
We are always looking out for the best tips and tricks to make travel easier and more comfortable! Especially for super long flights. Airplane travel Air New Zealand might have just introduced something that will completely change the plane travel game. Let’s dive in! This innovative new seat will include a pod where you can lie flat and close a curtain over your bed for privacy. This sounds so cool, your very own bed without having to pay first-class prices! ©Air New Zealand Members of our team have flown Air New Zealand in the past, and they had an incredible time! They used the equally innovative SkyCouch seat! ©Air New Zealand This is an interesting option that allows for the regular row seating to be turned into a bed. Overall, while it was snug and at times a little difficult to move around and grab items once the bed was in place, it was still a much better option than a regular economy seat on a long flight. Also, the Air New Zealand team was phenomenal, and the service was excellent! ©Air New Zealand We absolutely love the innovation and new ideas coming from Air New Zealand, and Airplane bunk beds sound pretty cool to us! We make sure to keep you informed of all the news coming from every airline so you can stay updated and make the best travel decisions. When it comes to walking miles and miles around Disney World, it’s SUPER important to make sure you have the best shoes that work for you. HOKA Clifton 10 Some of the most popular shoes on the market are HOKAs and New Balances, and then there comes the question: how do you decide what works best for you? Well, that’s a question only you can answer, since everyone’s feet are built differently (what works for a family member may not work for you!), but we’ve had NUMEROUS members of our team try out tons of different shoes in the parks, specifically New Balances and HOKA shoes, and when it comes down to which is best, our findings may surprise you. DISCLOSURE: This post may contain affiliate links, meaning when you click the links and make a purchase, we receive a commission. New Balances ©Amazon New Balances are a VERY popular shoe, and for good reason! These are around the same price point as HOKA shoes, if not a little bit on the more affordable side, so for someone who wants a great shoe without breaking the bank, this is a good way to go. There are tons of different styles to go with to make sure you find the ones that fit best for you. ©Amazon While these held up just fine during our trip and fortunately didn’t hurt our feet at all, we could have done with a little more cushioning to help us out as we got further into our trip. Our reporter wears her New Balances all the time at home and loves them dearly, but when it comes to Disney World, we do feel there are better shoes out there to make walking around for that long easier. Grab them here! HOKAs HOKA Clifton 10s Yes, that means that, in this debate, HOKAs win out once again! We know, we know, you’re probably tired of hearing about it, especially because these shoes are some of the most expensive on the market, but when we say these are sorta like walking on clouds, we MEAN it. HOKA Clifton 10 Again, HOKAs have numerous different styles out there, so one type won’t fit all types of feet (that’s partly why we recommend heading into a store in person to try them out; that way, you can feel them in real time), but nearly all of them have that incredible padding on the bottom that gives them a certain lightness when walking around the parks that other shoes just don’t give you. Hoka Women’s Clifton 10 Sneakers Yes, they’re expensive, but in our experience, they’re totally worth the cost and last a LONG time. In fact, if you look around Disney World at what shoes Cast Members are wearing, who are on their feet for hours at a time, you’ll likely find HOKAs everywhere! Grab them here! We’ll continue to bring you all the latest Disney news and reviews to help make your trips the absolute best they can be, so stay tuned to DFB! View the full article

With so many construction projects happening in Disney World right now, there are patents coming out like WILD. Expedition Everest Don’t worry, we’re keeping track of them all so you don’t have to! This most recent patent, though? Well, this isn’t totally what we were expecting to see, but this new patent could reveal some interesting technology changes throughout the parks. While there’s no confirmation just yet on where this patent could potentially be applied, it’s for sure that it WOULD change how things work in the parks! Disney’s new patent, published on April 23, 2026, is US Patent Application US 2026/0109316 A1, which details a new AI system that could help verify passengers’ restraints are properly in place. Described as “System and Method for Verifying Proper Usage of Passenger Restraints” in the patent, the AI would use video cameras combined with machine learning models to analyze whether a passenger restraint system is properly in place. This would account for lap restraints, over-the-shoulder restraints, or seat belt. New Disney Patent Currently, Cast Members check each and every restraint themselves, which takes time when loading. With this new system, it would drastically reduce the amount of time it takes for a ride car or vehicle to be cleared to begin. The technology would work by capturing continuous video of each passenger seat during the loading process, and then a restraint verification platform would analyze that footage using multiple machine learning models trained to detect the rider’s body position and size, the restraint being used, and if it’s properly locked. New Disney Patent This system is also designed to detect improper use that human operators might miss, such as when a guest is sitting on the seatbelt instead of using it properly, or if the seatbelt has been extended more than it should be. In addition to the video, the system would rely on video analytics with data from additional sensors, such as sensors that check if a guest is seated, check if a restraint is locked, and a rotary encoder device that measures the physical length of the extended seatbelt. New Disney Patent We’ll have to wait and see if this technology makes its way into the parks, but even if it does, we could be waiting a hot second, as if often takes patents time to be approved and make their way into being used. We’ll be sure to keep you updated every step of the way, so stay tuned to DFB!
