April has felt like it’s flown by, and ALSO like it’s taken 100 years at the exact same time. ©Disney With that, Disney has also made TONS of announcements this month about a variety of different things — Halloween events, Disney Stores coming back (in a way), and some big announcements about upcoming attractions. Believe it or not, though, we don’t feel any of those are the BIGGEST announcements from this month. In fact, the biggest one, in our eyes, has to do with an international Disney park, and a possible expansion it’s getting! Earlier this month, something was released by Disney that we feel kinda got swept under the rug, but we don’t know how, because it’s MASSIVE news. It’s possible that Shanghai Disney Resort COULD be getting a second theme park, based on new concept art. A pair of images was leaked that allegedly showed concept art for a second park at the Shanghai Resort, and when you look closely, it looks a LOT like EPCOT. @zoybeg X Account The second image shows how the potential concept art can fit next to the existing park. @zoybeg X Account Now here’s the thing: it’s unclear if this is legit. While Disney certainly hasn’t announced anything officially, it wouldn’t be the first time that information has been leaked ahead of a big announcement. It’s possible (but not at all confirmed) that this could be an announcement we hear about at D23 this year, if it is, in fact, true. There is historical precedent for Disney to design a potential second gate based on EPCOT, because years before Disney California Adventure in California, Disney planned to open the EPCOT-inspired WestCot as the Disneyland Resort’s second gate. So, all in all, this wouldn’t be the first time. ©Disney It’s also possible that this concept art COULD be legit, but Disney may change their minds and go back to the drawing board before it’s ever officially announced, leaving us in limbo forever. Shanghai Disney Resort only opened in 2016, so at ten years old now, it would make sense, in our eyes, to start thinking about a second gate. There are also rumors of a Spring 2026 announcement of a second gate to coincide with the 10th anniversary of the resort’s opening, but spring is soon coming to a close, so we’re still keeping our eyes peeled. Wishes Assemble: How Make-A-Wish Heroes Became Super Heroes
Disney4me posted a topic in Disney Blogs
What happens when Disney, Make-A-Wish, and MrBeast join forces to grant nearly 40 Avengers-inspired wishes? You get a night of heroic proportions. As part of Disney Week of Wishes, our company-wide celebration of wish-granting around the world, Wishes Assemble is a first-of-its-kind wish event for nearly 40 kids battling critical illnesses and their families at Avengers Campus at Disney California Adventure park at Disneyland Resort. Participants stepped into the role of Avengers recruits alongside some of the world’s most influential content creators, including Mark Rober, Dude Perfect, Sam & Colby, PrestonPlayz & BriannaPlayz, and Clix. From start to finish, this day – full of magic and Avengers missions – is about celebrating resilience, imagination and the incredible strength inside each Make-A-Wish kid. We Could Do This All Day! So, what does a day following in the footsteps of Super Heroes look like? It began with a comic book art lesson on drawing Spider-Man, led by a professional artist. During the class, Captain America actor Anthony Mackie made a surprise appearance, gifting wish kids Hasbro Captain America Action Figures. He then spent a little time with 9-year-old wish kid Coen, who wished to meet Mackie “because he is my favorite Super Hero!” The two rode Guardians of the Galaxy – Mission: BREAKOUT together. Throughout the day, wish families experienced personalized moments as wishes came to life across Disneyland Resort. MrBeast led a scavenger hunt before welcoming wish kids to his signature-style Beast Games. Mark Rober hosted a hands-on egg drop experiment from Avengers Headquarters, giving kids the rare opportunity to take part in a science experience inside Avengers Campus. The Dude Perfect Fan Zone featured themed trick-shot stations, games, and challenges. Additional moments included PrestonPlayz and Clix spending time with wish kids in custom-designed gaming spaces, playing Fortnite and Minecraft before riding WEB SLINGERS: A Spider-Man Adventure together, while Sam & Colby hosted a spooky storytime with special guest, Agatha Harkness. The day concluded with an unforgettable private evening celebration at Avengers Campus, where Vision actor Paul Bettany made a surprise appearance. YouTube also collaborated with Disney and Make-A-Wish, once again hosting the “Creator Corner” lounge, which included a special memento award ceremony for each child and an interactive thumbnail creation station, created in partnership with MrBeast’s team. Extending the Magic through Thoughtful Giving One of the most meaningful parts of Wishes Assemble was the care taken to extend the adventure beyond the park experience itself. With support from Disney Consumer Products, Disney Store and our licensees, including Berkshire Fashions, Corkcicle, Funko, Hasbro, the LEGO Group, Mad Engine, and Monogram International, kids were surprised with thoughtfully curated touches designed to help them gear up like Super Heroes and have fun through imagination and play. From Avenger-sized welcome moments and hotel room surprises to special keepsakes, action figures, attire and gear inspired by favorite characters, these details helped ensure that the memories made during Wishes Assemble would continue to spark joy long after the families returned home. A Team Effort and Ongoing Commitment, Powered by Trust A highlight of Wishes Assemble was a powerful moment honoring former, long-time Disney CEO Bob Iger, who received the inaugural WishMaker Lifetime Achievement Award from Leslie Motter, president and CEO of Make-A-Wish America, in recognition of his extraordinary contributions to the organization. During his tenure, Disney helped grant more than 110,000 wishes. Last year alone, Disney provided Make-A-Wish with $30 million of support. “Something truly special happens when communities come together with one shared vision: to bring joy to wish kids in ways that surpass even their greatest imagination,” shared Leslie Motter, Make-A-Wish America President and CEO. “The smiles on those children’s faces when their wish comes to life — there’s nothing like it. And none of it happens without the commitment of incredible supporters like Disney, MrBeast, and more. These are the moments that families will carry with them forever, helping shape what they believe is possible. We are beyond grateful for everyone who made Wishes Assemble a reality.” I’m so grateful to all my fellow cast members — the WishMakers — who went above and beyond to ensure each child felt celebrated and empowered. Our cast is the heart of Disney’s wish-granting legacy, which began right here at Disneyland Resort more than 45 years ago. Since then, Disney has helped grant over 175,000 wishes with Make-A-Wish — in fact, a Disney wish is granted every hour of every day. To our wish kids and families: thank you for letting us be part of your story. To our cast members and partners: thank you for answering the call, assembling with purpose, and helping us prove once again that the most powerful heroes are the ones who lead with heart. And to Make-A-Wish: thank you for more than 45 years of granting these life-changing wishes, together. Join Disney in making wishes come true with Make-A-Wish. Visit Wish.org/Disney to learn more. There’s a NEW Disney+ series in the works, and we would have NEVER been able to guess what character it was going to be about. ©Cartoon Network According to Deadline, Disney+ has just acquired the rights to a new Casper the Friendly Ghost show! Disney landed the IP after a competitive bidding war that involved five parties, and now a new show is coming. Let’s take a look at what we know. We don’t know too much about the new Casper show, but it’s being described as a modern update on the classic ghost story. We also know that it will be a live-action project directed and written by Rob Letterman. ©Casper Rob Letterman has done notable movies such as Shark Tale, Monsters vs. Aliens, and Pokémon: Detective Pikachu. Letterman also executive-produced another Disney+ series, Goosebumps. He collaborated with Hilary Winston on Goosebumps, and she will be working with Letterman once again, only this time as a co-writer for this new Casper project. ©Disney+ The best news about this new Disney+ show has to be that the legendary Steven Spielberg will be returning for it. He was an executive producer of the 1995 Universal movie Casper. ©TCM Interestingly, this will be the first Universal IP to have its own content on Disney+. This would be a rare Disney+ series project based on a famous IP that is not from within the Disney ecosystem or derived from books. We’ll have to wait and hear more about the project, but it is in the early stages of development. ©Casper We’ll be keeping an eye out for any more news on the project as it gets underway. Make sure you’re following the Disney Food Blog! We’re literally on top of all things Disney, and you won’t want to miss out on any of it. EPCOT is home to some of the best snacks in the whole resort. Come on, when you’ve got mini versions of ELEVEN countries in one park, how can you not? Caramel Flight from Karamell-Küche If you’re looking for a sweet treat, though, we have to say that one of our favorites is none other than Karamell-Küche in the Germany Pavilion. The quaint, fun design outside is plenty enough to draw you in, but then the smell of fresh caramel? Oh, it does something to us every time. If you’re looking for a sweet treat in the park, this is 100% the place to go, and these three snacks prove it. If you want something fun that also has some booze in it, the Caramel Flight with Liquor for $7.99 is a great choice. It comes with four pieces of decently-sized caramel, which isn’t bad for that price. Caramel Flight with Liquor THIS is why this shop is known for its caramel, and there’s no other treat necessary to prove it (though there are PLENTY to choose from). This is perfect caramel candy. These are pure, unadulterated, soft, smooth, creamy caramel, and it’s glorious. The liquor comes from inside, but instead of being a liquid center, it’s infused into the caramel, so every bite melts in your mouth a bit and leaves just enough of the alcohol flavor that you know it’s there, but it’s not overwhelming. Delicious! If you’re looking for a fun, sweet snack with a bit of alcohol, we highly recommend it, but the caramel is also fantastic on its own, so if you’re underage or don’t drink, the caramel treats on their own are also incredible. We can’t get enough We also snagged the Caramel S’more for $5.79, and while this is VERY rich and super shareable due to all the sugar, it’s a classic treat made even better with some great caramel. Caramel S’more The chocolate layer outside is a sweet milk chocolate, the graham cracker layer is thick enough that you can get the crumble of it to really bring home that s’mores flavor, and while there wasn’t as much marshmallow as we were initially expecting, the caramel on the inside helps make up for that texture. It’s delicious, but super messy, so be sure to grab a TON of napkins! Look at that inside! Finally, we have the Mickey Caramel Cereal Treat for $7.99, and this thing literally just tasted like childhood to us. It’s a classic marshmallow Rice Krispies treat covered in a thick drizzle of smooth caramel, so while it’s nothing special or out of this world, the marshmallow is creamy and vanilla flavored, the caramel is perfectly smooth, and the design of the treat means it’s not as messy as others. Overall, it’s a real winner for us, and we think it will be for you too, especially if you love nostalgia. When it comes to dining at Disney World, you’ve got a TON of options. Especially at Disney Springs, where you have dozens of great restaurants all in one place! Raglan Road We recently stopped by Raglan Road at Disney Springs for dinner, and now we’re bringing you our FULL review. We love Raglan Road, but we haven’t stopped by for a full meal in a while – is it still worth it? Atmosphere Raglan Road is a little slice of Ireland in the Florida sunshine. When we were escorted to our table, we were greeted by these amazing Irish dancers. The music and dancing are stellar, and the crowd really gets into it. We had the perfect view from our table, and they even changed costumes during our meal for a second set. It’s not advertised as dinner and a show, but this set was just as good, if not better than, our food. You truly can’t get an experience like this elsewhere in Florida. Irish dancers at Raglan Road Most of the decor here is authentically Irish, and the bars themselves were shipped directly from Ireland. You’re surrounded by rich, dark woods and brass fixtures. The tile floors below your feet add to the feeling of antiquity, and the soaring heights of the domed main dining room, complete with cupola, are crowned with leaded stained glass — again, the work of Irish craftspeople. Just walking into Raglan Road is a beautiful experience, and it only gets better when you open your menu. Menu Raglan Road is an Irish pub first, so it’s no surprise that the drink menu is longer than the food options. They offer PLENTY of draught beers on tap, with a wide selection of local craft beers in addition to Irish staples. If you can’t decide, their beer flights are incredibly popular; it makes for a diverse selection. The drink menu For food, Raglan Road has a variety of Irish staples like Shepard’s Pie, bangers and mash, and fish and chips. However, they also have offerings for the picky eaters; a salad, burger, or chicken sandwich is always reliable. The food menu The dessert menu features four of their signature desserts – chocolate mousse cake, strawberry cheesecake, pineapple upside-down cake, and their famous bread and butter pudding. In typical European fashion, they offer espresso and tea drinks as a third course to pair with the sweets. Raglan Road dessert menu And now, onto the main event — the food! Drinks To drink, we picked up the Strawberry Cucumber Mojito for $17.00. This is made with Bacardi Gold Rum, strawberry puree, muddled cucumber and mint, lime sour, and ginger ale. Strawberry Cucumber Mojito This was summer in a glass. The strawberry and cucumber flavors paired well together and were very natural. The rum is present, but very well balanced, with the fruitiness as the strongest flavor. The mint is very faint, so if you’re a fan of a traditional mint-forward mojito, you may be disappointed. Strawberry Cucumber Mojito Eats First up, we grabbed the new Pretzel, Beer, Braised Onion Cheese Sauce for $12.00. This is a potato pretzel served with a beer-braised caramelized onion in cheese sauce. Pretzel, Beer, Braised Onion Cheese Sauce This is a great pretzel – it’s fluffy, buttery, and sturdy enough for dipping. The sauce was creamy with a strong cheese flavor and a slight spice to keep things interesting. The braised onions were surprisingly sweet, which balanced the spice. Pretzel, Beer, Braised Onion Cheese Sauce Next, we tried the Now You’re Talking Chicken Sandwich for $24.95. This is a fried buttermilk chicken breast topped with hot sauce, scallions, shredded pickled slaw, truffle aioli, and grated parmesan. Now You’re Talking Chicken Sandwich The fried chicken was incredibly juicy, and the bun was buttery and tender. The spice lingers well after each bite, thanks to the hot sauce, but the pickled slaw adds some relief. The steak fries are classic – crispy on the outside and fluffy on the inside. Our server recommended malt vinegar with these, and we found that it calmed some of the spice from the sandwich. Now You’re Talking Chicken Sandwich For dessert, we got their signature Ger’s Bread Pudding for $13.50. Instead of your typical menu with a list of ingredients, this is only described as “Like no other you have ever tried. Believe us,” so naturally, we were interested! Ger’s Bread Pudding This was a buttery, soft bread pudding stuffed with plump raisins and topped with a smooth, velvety custard. The bread is well coated in the custard, and as it sets, it gets just crunchy enough to add a little texture. The raisins add little bursts of sweetness to the bread. This was sweet, but not a sugar high. Ger’s Bread Pudding Nosh or Not This Disney World restaurant is a must-visit if… You love Irish-inspired food: Obviously! Raglan Road has some pretty great Irish eats like Fish and Chips and Shepherd’s Pie, and even if you’re not super familiar with them, it can be a great place to try them. The staff is very knowledgeable about the dishes, and the menu is easy to understand. You’re looking for entertainment while you eat: This restaurant is so fun and a great dining experience. From the music, Irish dancing, and the overall vibe, the whole atmosphere is immersive. I mean, how many places can you see traditional Irish dancing in Disney World? You want an extensive menu: The menu has a whole bunch of options, not just for food. They have an extensive drink menu with tons of beers, whiskey flights, and Guinness (of course!). We love grabbing a drink here and maybe an appetizer or two if we’re looking for a quicker meal, but they also have entrees and desserts to complete the whole experience. You should skip this Disney World spot if… You don’t like loud music: This probably isn’t the place to catch up with old friends and have a lengthy family discussion due to all of the entertainment. The music is blasting, and Irish dancing isn’t particularly quiet, so if you’re looking for a quiet spot to relax, you’ll want to make a reservation somewhere else. You prefer more familiar eats: Not looking to expand the taste buds today? We get it! Sometimes during your vacation, you’ll be trying SO many new things that you might want some classic burgers and chicken tenders at some point. This restaurant is great for those looking to try something new, but maybe not for the pickiest eaters. You want a more affordable meal: Like many Disney Springs restaurants, Raglan Road isn’t necessarily cheap. Most entrees cost between $24 and $41, and most appetizers are around $18. This might be better for a special occasion, but it might be too much to feed the entire extended family. Overall We love the lively atmosphere here; it’s a one-of-a-kind experience. The drinks were plentiful and refreshing, while the food was flavorful. The pretzel and bread pudding were the stars of the show – they were both complex and left us wanting seconds. Ger’s Bread Pudding In the meantime, we’ll be on the lookout for more restaurant updates from Disney World and beyond. Okay, hold onto your hats, but something very exciting just happened in Hollywood Studios. Look at all of this space! Well, there are a LOT of exciting things happening in Hollywood Studios, but I guess yelling “move that wall” enough times helped because Disney has pushed back the walls for the new Walt Disney Studios! When Animation Courtyard got the boot, walls were put up, and the only space you could access was The Little Mermaid: A Musical Adventure, but even that was mostly covered with walls. The walls completely cut off the space and made Hollywood Studios feel a whole lot smaller (especially with the walls up in the old Muppets Courtyard, too). What the walls used to look like Strolling through Hollywood Studios, we noticed the walls have been moved! You can now access more of the courtyard space! Nice and open! Now, most of it is still behind walls, including the handprints and signatures from different Disney characters, which we’re really looking forward to. From this angle, though, you can see the sorcerer hat on top a lot more clearly. It really does look just like the real Walt Disney Studios in Burbank. Sorcerer hat! Walt Disney Studios opens on May 26th in Hollywood Studios with The Magic of Disney Animation, which includes drawing classes hosted by our favorite snowman, Olaf… “Olaf Draws” Concept Art ©Disney …along with character meet and greets with cool backgrounds that represent different departments of the animation studio. ©Disney Personally, I’m thrilled for the Alice in Wonderland indoor playground based on Mary Blair’s original concept art. I just know it’s going to be stunning. ©Disney Disney Jr. Mickey Mouse Clubhouse Live! will also be joining the area! We loved the show in Disneyland, and we’re excited to hang out with Mickey and his friends in a cool air-conditioned space. We’ve seen the show in Disneyland, and it’s so much fun. Disney Visa Cardmembers have access to some seriously fun perks at Disney Parks, from exclusive discounts on dining and merchandise to special character experiences you can’t get anywhere else. Disneyland Star Wars Launch Bay One of the most beloved benefits is the ability to access cardmember-only character meet and greet opportunities, and one popular Disneyland perk has officially gotten a MAJOR change! Previously, Disney Visa Cardmembers visiting Disneyland have been able to meet Darth Vader at a special, reserved photo location inside Star Wars Launch Bay in Tomorrowland. This experience has been a huge draw for Star Wars fans, offering shorter waits, a more relaxed environment, and complimentary digital downloads of professional photos just for flashing your Disney Visa Card. Beginning April 29, 2026, visitors to Batuu may find Darth Vader, Imperial Stormtroopers, and other iconic Star Wars characters inside Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge at Disneyland park in Anaheim, Calif., as the land expands its timeline to include more Star Wars eras. Read more about the exciting updates coming to Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge at Disneyland at DisneyParksBlog.com. (Christian Thompson/Disneyland Resort) But as of April 29th, Kylo Ren has officially taken over the exclusive Disney Visa Cardmember meet-and-greet at Star Wars Launch Bay in Tomorrowland! That means Darth Vader has moved to Galaxy’s Edge, making room for his grandson to make an appearance. For fans of Kylo Ren, or those who missed seeing him up close, this is a brand-new reason to take advantage of this cardmember perk! Kylo Ren at Disneyland Cardmembers can stop by for a photo opportunity at a location reserved just for them, inside Star Wars Launch Bay. Best of all, you’ll receive complimentary downloads of your photos, making it an easy and memorable souvenir. Guests must present a valid Disney Visa Card for entry, and availability can vary. On most days, this experience is typically offered from 2 PM until 6 PM, though hours are always subject to change, so it’s a good idea to check once you’re in the park. Star Wars Launch Bay This change is part of a major timeline shift happening at Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge in Disneyland. Characters and storylines from The Empire Strikes Back, Return of the Jedi, The Mandalorian, and Ahsoka, among many others, are now included in the land, which also means you can enjoy and experience the Galactic Civil War, the New Republic, the Age of the Resistance, and the First Order all in one day. Darth Vader is now roaming around the land full-time, and you’ll see him walking around with Stormtroopers in an attempt to hunt down the remaining Jedi, which means you’ll also get to see Princess Leia Organa (near the Millennium Falcon), Han Solo (also near the Millennium Falcon), Luke Skywalker (roaming the outpost), and Chewbacca throughout the land. ©Disney Don’t worry, though, because you’ll still be able to see Ahsoka Tano, the Mandalorian, and Grogu over near the Marketplace. R2-D2 will also continue to roll around near the Droid Depot and the garage, while Rey will be able to be found at the Resistance Camp. Mando and Grogu in Disneyland Additionally, the First Order Cargo shop has turned into Black Spire Surplus, which is a military salvage operation with artifacts from across the history of the galaxy. This will be where you can find “relics” themed after both the Empire and the Rebel Alliance from the Galactic Civil War. First Order Cargo Shop is now Black Spire Surplus Dok Ondar’s Den of Antiquities has also gotten some adjustments, beginning to display a different array of one-of-a-kind items from its past, and an earlier generation of the Mubo family will begin operating the Droid Depot from now on. Kylo Ren has one of these We’ll be on the lookout for the additional changes coming to Disneyland and beyond. Why does everyone buy this Disney World essential at the park when you can get it for half the price online? Daisy and Donald When it comes to Disney vacations, there are just certain things you have to bring with you, especially if you have kiddos. However, we’ve always found it difficult to say one Disney essential in particular is a must-have, considering how expensive it is at the park. Now that we’ve found it online, we can confidently say you need to grab it for your next Disney trip. DISCLOSURE: This post may contain affiliate links, meaning when you click the links and make a purchase, we receive a commission. Whether you have little ones or you’re still a kid at heart, character meet-and-greets at Disney are one of the best experiences you can have during your Disney day. Getting to see the beloved characters you grew up with and see on screen just feels different. Jiminy Cricket What makes character meet-and-greets even more magical is grabbing their autographs! We’ve had fun with it before, and every time we see kiddos go up and grab a character’s autograph, they are filled with so much joy. Of course, to do this, you need an autograph book. The problem is that they’re so expensive at the parks, sitting at around $20. That’s where Amazon comes in, with a Disney autograph book at half the price! Sulley Get the Mickey and Friends Autograph Book ©Amazon This Mickey and Friends Autograph Book is a great deal for those who love to get signatures from their favorite Disney characters! It comes with a Mickey pen and some alphabet stickers, so you can personalize your book. We love the cover of Mickey and his friends. The fireworks and castle give it a nice pop as well. The item sits at $10, which is way more reasonable than at the parks! Let’s get real — Magic Kingdom is one of my favorite parks to snack at! Dole Whip Sure, does this park have some infamous restaurants? Yes. But, if it’s up to me, I’m opting for the snacks here. If you love to grab a Disney snack in between Lightning Lanes and catching the show at Cinderella’s Castle, then you’re in luck! I’m sharing the reviews of our favorite seven snacks at Magic Kingdom and why they should go on your list for your next Disney World trip. Tropical Serenade Aloha Isle is home to the famous Dole Whip (which we still love), but it’s also home to the Tropical Serenade. This snack has been around since Magic Kingdom’s 50th anniversary celebration in 2021, and honestly, we’re so glad it stuck around. This is made with Passion Fruit, Orange, and Guava (or POG) Juice, Coconut Soft-serve, and a Pineapple Upside-down Cake Pop as the Garnish. Tropical Serenade So why does this snack make the list? We love the mix of flavors. The base of this float is fantastic. That coconut soft-serve is rich and smooth (we already know and love it), and when it mixes with the bright, fruity POG juice, it creates the ultimate tropical combo. It’s refreshing, sweet without being overwhelming, and perfect for a hot Florida day. Tropical Serenade Spring Rolls Over at the Adventureland Spring Rolls Cart, you’ll find not only two savory snack options, but also a big line for them! There’s a reason for the line — these snacks have become a Disney World favorite for many. You can order the Pepperoni Pizza or the Cheeseburger Spring Rolls. Our favorite hack is getting one of each with your order. The Pepperoni Pizza rolls come with a marinara sauce for dipping. They are crispy on the outside and stuffed with large pepperonis and cheese on the inside. Pepperoni Spring Rolls in Magic Kingdom As for the Cheeseburger Roll, inside those crunchy wonton wrappers, you’ll find minced ground beef and melted cheese that ooze out with every bite. It’s hot, it’s cheesy, it’s beefy, and it tastes exactly like a classic cheeseburger without any of the mess. No falling toppings. Just pure, handheld perfection. A love letter to spring rolls Hushpuppies Now, if you’ve known us for a while, we know that we have been fans of the Hushpuppies at Columbia Harbour House for quite some time. You get six hushpuppies per order, so plan accordingly. These nuggets of fried corn batter are one of our favorites, and they still taste great! Hushpuppies! They have a super-crispy exterior and a soft, fluffy interior. The inside has pieces of whole corn mixed in, which adds good texture, and you get quite a bit of the corn flavor. These have a bit of sweetness, but not enough to make them taste like dessert. And for less than $6, we think this is still a super solid snack choice! Inside the hushpuppies WE KNOW – there are SO many great snacks at Disney World! How do you choose (we don’t want to choose, but will blow our budget on Day 1 otherwise)? We’ve got you covered! We have reviewed nearly EVERY snack available at Disney World, and we’ve written a series of DFB Guides about them! You can grab our Magic Kingdom Snacks Guide below. DFB Guide to Magic Kingdom Snacks Buffalo Chicken Strips Next up, the Buffalo Chicken Strips at Cosmic Ray’s Starlight Cafe for $12.99. This is coated in buffalo sauce and topped with ranch seasoning. The sauce wasn’t too spicy; instead, it came at the end of each bite as a kick, allowing you to taste the sauce without your tongue burning off. Buffalo Chicken Strips There wasn’t a ton of ranch seasoning on top to cool it down, so we could have used more or had a side of ranch, but these had great classic flavor, and you’ll have those traditional orange fingers at the end. Buffalo Chicken Strips Gaston’s Cinnamon Roll The Warm Cinnamon Roll is at Gaston’s Tavern in Magic Kingdom’s Fantasyland, and the official page literally calls it the tavern’s admired, ooey-gooey signature snack. So why do we (and so many others) love it? This cinnamon roll is not trying to be trendy. It’s just a big, gooey, classic Disney cinnamon roll, and sometimes that is exactly the energy we need. Gaston’s Tavern — Warm Cinnamon Roll It’s warm, oversized, and definitely sweet. Now, a pastry this big can feel dry, so we always recommend ordering extra icing on the side. Trust us, you’ll be glad you did! Ask for extra icing! Fruit Waffles At Sleepy Hollow Refreshments, you’ll find several great snack options. The Waffle with Berries, Powdered Sugar, and Whipped Cream is a go-to for just $8.79. The waffle has a thin, crispy edge that gives way to a soft bite in the center. It’s topped with strawberries and blueberries with that whipped cream on top! Waffle with Berries You can also get the Waffle with Chocolate-Hazelnut Spread, Bananas, Berries, and Whipped Cream for $9.79. The same delicious waffle, but this one is topped with a Chocolate-hazelnut spread, bananas, berries, and whipped cream. Either of these is a solid shareable snack option! Waffle from Sleepy Hollow! All-American Sundae The All-American Sundae from Plaza Ice Cream Parlor deserves a spot on your must-eat list. Let’s talk about it! For $8.29, you’re getting old-fashioned vanilla and chocolate ice cream topped with hot fudge, peanut butter drizzle, whipped cream, and that iconic cherry on top. All-American Sundae It’s simple, and that’s exactly why it shines. The combination of peanut butter, chocolate, and vanilla is timeless, and every bite hits that sweet spot between creamy and rich. The whipped cream adds that light, fluffy finish, while the peanut butter and chocolate chips on top give it just enough texture to keep things interesting. It’s big enough to share with a few friends — if you want to! The EPCOT Food & Wine Festival is officially coming back from August 27th to November 21st, which means we’re cracking out the notebooks, napkins, and cameras to cover it all. This festival is usually our favorite because the main focus is FOOD, and we are the Disney Food Blog, after all. Chocolate Baumkuchen Since we’ve been going for years and years, we’ve noticed changes, and when Disney removes something we once loved, we get a little sad. So Disney, we need to talk. Why did you take all of this away?? For YEARS, we have been begging for Food and Wine Culinary Demonstrations to come back! These were 45-minute demonstrations where chefs would show you how to create your own special dish. They shared tips and tricks to sharpen your kitchen skills, and you even got to try the dishes that the chefs were making. Chef Gale Gand Leads a Culinary Demonstration Not to be confused with the Food and Wine Beverage Seminars, which we’ve also been on our knees trying to convince Disney to bring back! These were also 45-minute seminars that were focused on wine, beer, and spirits. Both demonstrations and seminars cost around $20 and are an inexpensive upgrade to make your trip that much more special. Chef Kevin Dundon of Raglan Road Irish Pub Conducting a Culinary Demonstration We also loved the Hands-On Workshops, where we got to be part of the experience. There were workshops on decorating cakes, garnishing, and even making cocktails! They cost around $45 and truly made us feel like we were part of the magic. Individual Workshop Setting One of our favorites was the Chocolate Experience: From Bean to Bar. This was included with your park admission and was hosted by Ghirardelli. It went through the history of chocolate and the chocolate-making process, as well as chocolate sculptures created by Disney pastry chefs. The Chocolate Experience: From Bean to the Bar Outside of seminars and workshops, we also enjoy ed when they had a pass, similar to Disneyland’s Sip and Savor Pass for their Disney California Adventure Food & Wine Festival. You could pay a single upfront price and then use the pass at the food booths. It was significantly more convenient than pulling out our cards every time we’re at a booth. While these haven’t returned, you can purchase a gift card, load money upfront, and use it throughout the day if that’s easier to budget. Sip and Savor Pass ©Disney We would love to highlight an experience very near and dear to our team: the Ocean Spray Cranberry Bog. There was an actual cranberry bog placed in the middle of EPCOT, and it was just like the Ocean Spray commercials of the 2000s. Ugh, bring this back, Disney! The Bog!! While a majority of these experiences ended during the 2020 closures, we’re still hoping they’ll eventually bring them back, especially the demonstrations and the demonstrations. When CommuniCore Hall opened, there were suspicions that this space would be turned into the new seminar area, but it never happened. We’ll be crossing our fingers until it happens! Make sure you keep following Disney Food Blog for everything Disney. EVERYTHING CONFIRMED FOR THE 2026 EPCOT FOOD & WINE FESTIVAL IT'S WINE & DINE TIME! Food & Wine Festival can be a bummer. Disney has been ramping up its sequels and live-action remakes lately, and whether you like it or not, there is a LOT on the horizon. ©Disney It’s no secret that a live-action Tangled movie is in the works at Disney, but what ever happened with the planned sequel to the original Tangled? Well, according to a new report from The Direct, plans for Tangled 2 were scrapped after Disney failed to come up with a compelling enough story to make it work. Here’s everything we know. Nathan Greno, director of the original 2010 Tangled movie, told The Direct that while discussions about a sequel took place, the studio couldn’t make sense of a continuous story. Flynn and Rapunzel Greno was asked if any ideas had ever been developed at Disney for a Tangled sequel, and he said that there had previously been discussions. He explained that continuing Rapunzel’s story is a “uniquely difficult creative challenge,” and drew comparison to other iconic Disney movies. ©Disney “No… Again, I’m not against sequels. There was, I will say, after we finished ‘Tangled’… It’s a tricky place, because I’ll put it this way: once Pinocchio becomes a real boy, what else is there to say? Once the Beast becomes a human, what else is there to say?” He continued, saying that the creative team made a genuine attempt at a story, but that no one at Disney could come up with a story worth telling. Rapunzel and Flynn Rider “We actually did an off-site at Disney, and we got the original team together, and we really all talked about it for hours, and we kind of walked away saying, ‘We couldn’t find a story worth telling,'” Greeno said. Instead of leaving fans in the lurch, the team decided to make the 2012 short, Tangled Ever After, which follows Rapunzel’s and Flynn Rider’s wedding day. Rapunzel Greeno commented on it, saying, “And so, while I love those characters, and… There was a short that we did the wedding [in], because people come and ask, like, ‘Where’s the wedding?’ So we did do the wedding, because that felt natural. But in general, yeah, there just wasn’t a story that I could find.” Swingin’ But, for those still wanting to get their Tangled fix, the live-action remake is still very much in the works. It’s been confirmed that Teagan Croft will portray Rapunzel and Milo Manheim will bring Flynn Rider to life, along with Kathryn Hahn stepping in to play Mother Gothel — something that fans have been begging for. Teagan Croft; Rapunzel and Flynn Rider from ‘Tangled’; and Milo Manheim Courtesy of Disney (2); Walt Disney Studios Motion Pictures/Courtesy Everett Collection Originally, the production was eying Scarlett Johansson for the role, but she backed away due to her upcoming heavy production schedules with Batman II and The Exorcist reboot. Once that announcement came out, the internet very quickly began hoping for Hahn to be offered the role. Now, that dream has come true. ©Disneyland Michael Gracey (best known for directing The Greatest Showman) is still attached to direct the feature, and the script is written by Jennifer Kaytin Robinson and is based on the 2010 animated film of the same name. Kristin Burr will produce the film, while Lucy Kitada will executive produce. Rapunzel Tower We’ll be on the lookout for even more Disney movie updates you need to know about. It’s been almost a year since GEO-82 opened in EPCOT, and we are still BIG fans of this gorgeous lounge. Seriously, this bar is just SO COOL. New drinks alert! First, it’s a chance to have drinks INSIDE Spaceship Earth, which in and of itself is a pretty cool experience. But the lounge itself also feels so modern and fancy, and, well, most of the drinks really are out of this world, appropriately enough. So when we discovered three NEW drinks on the menu at GEO-82, we made our way back to the lounge to try two out. So let’s go! Yes, some new drinks have arrived at GEO-82, and we ordered them! The first is the Pink Peppercorn Clover Club for $25, made with Fords Gin, Dolin Blanc Vermouth de Chambéry, Raspberry, Pink Peppercorn, and Lemon. Well, that certainly SOUNDS interesting, right? This drink is SO pretty, so it’s already got that going for it. But looks aren’t everything. First, you’re going to taste that gin right off the bat, but there’s a lovely fruity undertone with the raspberry and lemon. Those blend well with the pink peppercorn, too (and that one is a subtle flavor). Pink Peppercorn Clover Club The froth isn’t too thick, but it does add a beautiful, smooth texture. We would describe this drink as mature, not something you’d want for drinking around the world, but something you’d order if you’re feeling like something a little sophisticated. The creator of the drink, Kimyata, who is a bartender at GEO-82, told us the history of the drink. There’s a gentlemen’s club in Philadelphia called the Clover Club, and this was their signature drink, but Kimyata made it a bit more drinkable. You gotta’ love just how much knowledge Disney World bartenders have! Nice froth on top We also got to try the Tuscan Olive Oil Martini for $26. It’s made with VUSA African Vodka, Dolin Dry Vermouth de Chambéry, Olive Oil, Tomato, and Parmesan Crisp. This one is SO unique, and being the cheese lovers that we are, we ate the Parmesan crisp first, which adds a cheesy, tangy note when you start sipping on the drink. This drink is savory, and the vodka is pretty predominant. Tuscan Olive Oil Martini The olive oil is subtle, and we’re still surprised at how the drink doesn’t separate, given that there is oil in it. Disney magic, we guess! But yeah, this one is a very bold drink that’s more for sipping casually. If you love a spirit-forward, stronger cocktail, we recommend trying it. More of a savory drink A third drink also dropped, but we didn’t try it this trip. It’s called the Clarified Bee’s Knees and it’s made with Barr Hhill Reserve Tom Cat Gin, Honey, Lemon, and Thyme for $25. ©Disney We’ll be trying even more new food and drinks in Disney World, so stay tuned to DFB for more. Are you craving a ride on your favorite attractions at Disney World, but you’ve been seeing a “closed for refurbishment” sign? Your time to ride might be coming soon! Rock ‘n’ Roller Coaster Starring The Muppets Queue ©Disney Disney World usually offers previews to give select groups an early chance to ride the attraction, and to give the ride’s Cast Members opportunities to practice procedures (and to make sure everything is fully operational for hours at a time). Well, we got word of new previews coming soon. Cast Member previews are opening Soarin’ Across America and Rock ‘n’ Roller Coaster Starring The Muppets. On May 6th, eligible Cast Members will be able to register for preview spots, which means Disney is just about ready to open the rides. ©Disney Rock ‘n’ Roller Coaster Starring The Muppets and Soarin’ Across America will open to the public on May 26th, so if you aren’t able to secure a preview, don’t worry, your time is coming in less than one month. Rock ‘n’ Roller Coaster Starring the Muppets For Rock ‘n’ Roller Coaster, Disney said that there will be previews for “Cast Members, eligible Disney Vacation Members, and Annual Passholders.” Disney hasn’t confirmed when those previews for DVC Members and Annual Passholders will be available, but we wouldn’t be surprised if we hear more about them soon, given the opening date is so close. You’ll want to keep an eye on your email and Passholder Buzz on the Disney World app. Looking great! If you’re part of these select groups and want to ride as soon as possible, Disney might do a soft opening after previews end but before the ride is officially open. We recently saw this with Buzz Lightyear’s Space Ranger Spin in Magic Kingdom, where it was open to guests who just happened to be in Magic Kingdom during those days. For those who are already going to be in the parks, it’s not a bad idea to walk by the attraction to see what’s happening, but this is never guaranteed — actually, even if you signed up for a preview slot, it doesn’t guarantee anything! Line for Buzz Lightyear’s Space Ranger Spin soft opening Since the previews are to make sure the rides are working, sometimes rides shut down due to technical issues, and you might not be able to ride. This happened a lot during Tiana’s Bayou Adventure opening in Magic Kingdom, but for Buzz Lightyear, it was mostly under control. It’s typically not something to worry yourself about, but a nice thing to know that it’s possible. Make sure you keep following Disney Food Blog for more Disney news. If there’s one thing I know, it’s that when Pueblo Esperanza opens in Animal Kingdom, I will be sitting there in my Encanto ears wearing an Indiana Jones t-shirt, waiting to experience the land myself. While I loved DinoLand U.S.A. as if it were part of the family, something newer is on the horizon. The new Tropical Americas land coming to Disney’s Animal Kingdom lets guests explore a preserved Maya temple – and the ensuing adventure – alongside Indiana Jones. DINOSAUR is being rethemed to Indiana Jones, using the same ride mechanism but with new scenes (and even different scenes than the Disneyland version), and Disney just filed new permits for the attraction as they get closer to changing over the ride and opening the Tropical Americas land! The permits are to “Install set elements” with Adirondak Scenic and Scenario, both of which have worked extensively in theme parks. Adirondack Scenic has even worked with Disney on other projects, so saying we’re excited is an understatement. ©bioreconstruct Installed set elements can be inside or outside, but they are typically the parts we can see, which is pretty cool. While electrical work and other parts are just as important, of course, we’re a bit partial to things we can see. Puebla Esperanza model Disney’s says, “In this new venture, the man with the hat has recently discovered a perfectly preserved Maya temple, and that can only mean one thing: it’s time to explore it. He’s heard rumors about a mythical creature deep within the temple — and he’s got to see it for himself. So, he brings us along on the adventure… but will there be snakes? We’ll just have to wait and see.” The new Tropical Americas land coming to Disney’s Animal Kingdom lets guests explore a preserved Maya temple – and the ensuing adventure – alongside Indiana Jones. Also coming to Pueblo Esperanza includes an Encanto-themed attraction where, for the first time, you’ll be able to go into Casita and say hello to the Madrigals. During the ride, Antonio has just received his special gift of the ability to communicate with animals, and his room has transformed into a rainforest. Guests will get to explore alongside him and “you never know what member of the family you might bump into.” ©Disney Pubelo Esperanza is set to open in 2027, and we’ll be sharing updates on the land right here at Disney Food Blog.
