  1. A new restaurant is now open at Downtown Disney! Din Tai Fung Disney shared a while back that the iconic Din Tai Fung restaurant — famous for its soup dumplings — would be opening in the Anaheim shopping and dining district sometime this year, and now that time has officially come! Din Tai Fung is now open at Downtown Disney and we’re bringing you along for our first look! Din Tai Fung is now open at Downtown Disney Anaheim! This iconic restaurant soft-opened on June 24th, so of course we had to check it out. We’ll be bringing you a full review soon, but for now, let’s see what all the fuss is about! Din Tai Fung Din Tai Fung is a table service restaurant and right now, reservations are definitely recommended since there was quite a line outside when we stopped by! There’s a large, round bar with lots of seating as well as ample tables in the regular dining room area. Pretty snazzy! We took our seats and quickly got down to business looking at the menu — there’s a lot to choose from here! Place setting In addition to a full laminated menu… Menu …you also get a paper Dim Sum menu to order from! Dim Sum menu There’s even a little guide that teaches you how to eat xiao long bao — A.K.A. soup dumplings! It looks more complicated than it is and the payoff is totally worth it. Just trust us on that one! How to eat xiao long bao! Din Tai Fung is famous for soup dumplings, which are “hand-crafted right on sight,” at its current locations in Las Vegas, Costa Mesa, and other places in Southern California, Oregon, and Washington. These are in addition to international locations in Japan, South Korea, Singapore, China, Hong Kong, Indonesia, Malaysia, Australia, Europe, and Thailand. Current locations feature various soups, many different flavors of dumplings and buns, wontons, noodles, fried rice, and dessert dumplings filled with chocolate, red bean paste, or sweet taro. We tried the cucumber salad on this trip! Cucumber Salad Din Tai Fung originally opened in Taipei, Taiwan. According to the restaurant’s website, Mr. Bing-Yi Yang immigrated to Taiwan and opened a shop selling cooking oil. He named the shop Din Tai Fung. He and his wife sold dumplings in their shop as well, called Xiao Long Bao (steamed pork soup dumplings). These dumplings became so popular that Mr. Yang “phased out his oil business” and Din Tai Fung became a full-blown restaurant. Dumplings! Reservations can be made NOW on Yelp, and Disney has advised that this is a soft opening, which means there might still be some kinks to work out — so be patient with the employees if you decide to visit right after opening! We also got the chance to get a sneak peek of the merchandise that will be released once this spot opens, and you can check it out here. Wontons We’ll be bringing you our full review of Din Tai Fung soon. In the meantime, make sure you stay tuned to the Disney Food Blog for all your Disneyland and Disney World needs! 2. Who’s ready to take a cruise? The Disney Magic docked at Lookout Cay Well, maybe not physically (although if you are getting ready for a Disney Cruise, we’re immensely jealous!), but we just got off the Disney Magic and need to tell you ALL about it. One of the most important things when planning a Disney Cruise is deciding what stateroom category you’d like to stay in, as they’re all priced differently. We got to stay in a Deluxe Oceanview Stateroom with a Verandah on our last cruise, and it was BEAUTIFUL — let us show you around! We were staying in room 7024 on the 7th deck, and you know we had to decorate our door! Our decorated door! Right when you walk into your stateroom, you’ll look directly through a narrow hallway into the rest of the room. Looking into the room Immediately on the back of the door you’ll find the safety information — always take a few minutes to read over it! Safety information Facing back into the room to your left, you’ll find the closet! Closet This will have hangers available to you to hang whatever outfits you’d like to keep wrinkle-free during the cruise, your life jackets are at the very top shelf… Know where those life jackets are! …and the safe towards the bottom of the closet can be used for whatever valuable items you’d like to ensure stay safe and secure. The safe The first door off to your right is the commode room. Commode Room In most staterooms on Disney Cruise Line ships, you’ll find that the commode room and the shower/bathtub room are separate from each other. In this room, you’ll find the commode, a sink with soap and hand towels, and a hair dryer attached to the wall. Sink in the Commode Room The second door off to your right is the shower/bathtub room — yes, you can take a bath on this cruise ship! Shower Room While the shower and tub are certainly smaller than what you might find in a hotel, it’s not super tiny, which is nice. There’s a decent amount of space here! You’ll also find complimentary hair and body wash products to use if you’d like. Complimentary Products And off to the right side of the room is another sink, this one complete with more amenities. You’ll find washcloths, hand towels, and body towels, as well as a shelf jutting out from the mirror to place some of your belongings. Shower Room Sink Coming back out into the main part of the room, immediately to your right, you’ll find a full-length mirror to admire your amazing outfits. Full-Length Mirror And to the left of that, you’ll find the main bed near the center of the room! The Bed! This bed sleeps two people comfortably, and we even had a little towel art surprise when we arrived! Cute! We love the details on the lamps on either side! Detailed lamps On the right side of the bed, when you’re looking at it, you’ll find the phone that allows you to call Guest Services for whatever you need. Phone And to the left of the bed, you’ll find a bedside table with storage. Charging Station Continuing to the left of the bed, you’ll find the couch… Couch …which also turns into a twin bed! Twin Bed You can also pull the curtains on both sides to allow for more privacy, which we appreciated. Hooray for privacy! And at the very back of the room, you’ll find the door that leads out to your balcony or verandah! To the verandah! The verandah consists of two simple chairs and a table. Chairs and table It’s not the coziest, but it gets the job done! And you can see some pretty amazing views straight from your room when you’re out at sea. It can be a pretty sight! Back inside the room, we’re continuing on to the right side of the room (if you’re facing back towards the entrance door). Here, you’ll find a desk that can double as a vanity for getting ready! Coming back into the room Not only does this area have a great mirror, but there’s also TONS of storage in the cabinets. So much storage You’ll also find a traditional hairdryer in one of the drawers, which can be very helpful. Hair Dryer Immediately to the left of the vanity, you’ll find the cabinet that houses the mini-fridge. Mini Fridge And above that is the TV! The TV! To the right side of the TV, you’ll find outlets to use. Outlets There’s a bit of free space against this wall right where the bed comes out, so you have room to walk (very important), but to the left of that empty space is some more cabinets for your storage needs in a small alcove. Storage galore And we love the photo above this cabinet, too! Love it! Finally, to the left of that cabinet, you’ll find another cabinet with more storage! We’re not complaining—you don’t realize how much you packed until you’re trying to fit it all in a stateroom with two other people. You can never have enough storage And that’s the stateroom tour! 4. Universal’s Epic Universe is opening in 2025 and the countdown is officially ON! ©Universal The new theme park will include lands including Celestial Park, The Wizarding World of Harry Potter – Ministry of Magic, SUPER NINTENDO WORLD, How to Train Your Dragon – Isle of Berk, and Dark Universe. Universal recently just shared a ton of news about what we can expect from Dark Universe, but we just learned a seriously exciting new detail! Dark Universe will be based around Universal Monsters like Dracula, Frankenstein, the Wolf Man, and more. This land marks the first time those iconic horror characters will have a fully dedicated land and series of rides in a Universal theme park — and just when we thought it couldn’t get any more exciting, we learn just who will be doing the music for this park of the park! ©Universal Danny Elfman, film composer and singer-songwriter, has confirmed that he will be doing the music for Dark Universe! The artist shared the news in an Instagram Story, which you can see below. Elfman said, “The Universal Monsters have always been such a big part of my life. I’m grateful and honored to have been chosen to compose the music for the new Dark Universe in @universalorlando. I can’t wait to go!!!” via @dannyelfman on Instagram And we can’t wait either! Elfman is best known for his frequent collaborations with Tim Burton and for being the frontman and songwriter for the iconic 1980s new wave band, Oingo-Boingo. With his emphasis on all things eerie and macabre in the Burton films he’s worked on, we’re expecting some seriously creepy and epic music at Dark Universe! At Dark Universe, once visitors walk through the Dark Universe portal, they’re whisked off to a place full of dark energy where they step into the village of Darkmoor and stare up at the focal point of the land, Frankenstein Manor. The theme here is all about monsters, of course. ©Universal In the meantime, we’ll be updating you on everything you need to know about Epic Universe at Universal Orlando and the latest theme park news — so stay tuned to the Disney Food Blog for more! 5. A new quesadilla has just debuted at EPCOT and you know we couldn’t pass up an opportunity to try it out! Pastor Quesadilla EPCOT is home to some incredible eats, treats, and drinks to keep you eating around the world on your next visit. While we’ve been preoccupied with the new entertainment, the recently opened CommuniCore Hall, and the recent closure of Test Track, it was a nice change of pace to have another reason to look forward to coming out to EPCOT. If you’ve found yourself exploring all the eats and drinks that EPCOT has to offer, chances are you’re probably spending quite a bit of time around the World Showcase. Since Mexico is one of the first countries you could encounter depending on which way you opt to start your World tour, we had to talk about one of our favorite spots to visit. Mexico Pavilion Choza de Margarita is usually our go-to stop for refreshing margaritas and light bites, so when we spotted a recent change to the menu, we knew we had to jump at the chance to try it! Choza de Margarita This restaurant just added a “Pastor Quesadilla” for $12.50 which is made of flour tortillas filled with pork pastor, Monterey Jack cheese, and pineapple relish with sides of salsa verde and esquites. New eats! At first glance, they looked appetizing so we decided to dive right on in head first and take a bite! However, our excitement quickly turned to confusion with this one. The quesadilla’s al pastor meat tasted more like pulled chicken rather than true pork meat. Additionally, the meat itself didn’t have much flavor which was really helped out by being completely saturated in a low-spice red sauce that was very drippy and greasy. Pastor Quesadilla The quesadilla does have a little bit of a fruity side thanks to pineapple bits and red onion chopped up and mixed into the cheese, but that along with the sauce was really the only flavor in the entire quesadilla rather than coming from the meat and enhanced with the added ingredients. Inside look As we mentioned before, this quesadilla is served with a side of esquites. This is made up of corn with a chipotle aioli folded into the mix, and topped with queso cotija and Tajin chile-lime powder. Side of esquites Unfortunately, the side for this meal is served in a very small cup (think like a side of salsa to go). There really was only enough for a few bites so if you were expecting a larger cup of these you’ll be disappointed but you might not be able to get past its taste. While this might not be everyone’s experience here, when we tried our esquites, we found it to taste like cafeteria food. The corn felt undercooked, the chipotle aioli really tasted more just like a doctored mayonnaise with hardly any spice to it and the cheese was concentrated to the top just the very center of the cup. This was also served with a side of salsa verde which appeared and smelled to have been made with avocado. Salsa verde This is the same salsa verde you can grab at the neighboring restaurant, La Cantina de San Angel, just across the street, and was just what we were anticipating. This is a salsa made of green tomatoes as opposed to red tomatoes with a few spices, vinegar, and avocado added in. There wasn’t anything outstanding about this one, but we did appreciate that it was served with the dish along with a few lime wedges. Quesadilla dipped in salsa verde While we felt like the quesadilla’s flavor could use some work, it wasn’t all bad. Unless you’re familiar with how al pastor might taste elsewhere, you could very well enjoy this dish just as it is. However, if you’re someone who craves the flavor-packed meat typically found in al pastor dishes, that wasn’t quite the experience we had with this dish ourselves and you might find yourself disappointed. Not a bad quesadilla! Overall, it’s not a variation of a quesadilla we’ll be jumping at the chance to try again, but it served as a decent snack for when we really needed something savory to munch on. 7. Rain is often a common part of many Disney World days, especially during the summer months. Rainy day in Magic Kingdom We have plenty of tips on how to deal with rainy days in Disney World — it doesn’t need to ruin your vacation! If you’re heading into the parks this week, we’re warning you ahead of time that you’ll want to be prepared for LOTS of rain. In some climates, rain can feel like they cool the temperature down, but in Disney World, it often makes things feel MORE stuffy and like you’re breathing through a wet towel. Storm over EPCOT However, it does mean that the sun may be blocked by dark clouds at different points of the day, meaning that you’ll be getting a break from the sun’s aggressive rays. You’ll still need to wear that sunscreen though! Storm Clouds We strongly suggest downloading a more in-depth weather app than what your phone comes with, such as Weather Bug, to see real-time, minute-by-minute updates. This way, you’ll be notified when storms are on the way! Outdoor rides will close when lightning is close by (but many will still run in rain), so keep a close eye on your weather app and try to plan your outdoor rides when storms won’t be around. Rain on Main Street U.S.A. And if you’re looking for the perfect poncho to grab for your trip, we personally own the Cosowe Poncho and LOVE it! 9. It’s a great time to be a Disney World fan — there are just so many great new experiences around with more on the way! Cinderella Castle CommuniCore Hall and Plaza have officially opened in EPCOT, Tiana’s Bayou Adventure will be opening at the end of June, and we’ll soon be getting a new version of Country Bear Jamboree at Magic Kingdom. Not only that, but another classic Frontierland attraction is undergoing quite a renovation — and it’s now closed for good. Heads up — the Frontierland Shootin’ Arcade in Magic Kingdom is now permanently closed! Disney has closed this iconic attraction to make room for something new: a Disney Vacation Club (DVC) member lounge. Frontierland Shootin’ Arcade This will be the third DVC lounge in Disney World, which includes a DVC lounge in EPCOT at the Imagination Pavilion and Top of the World — A Villains Lair at Disney’s Contemporary Resort. Disney has not yet announced an opening date for the new lounge, but we saw Frontierland Shootin’ Arcade’s last day on June 23rd. We don’t have too many details on the new lounge — like what sort of theme it might have or when it will open — but we’re on the hunt for the latest updates. Frontierland Shootin’ Arcade Looking for more details about being a DVC member? We’ve got all the details right here so you can decide if it’s right for you. Essentially, many people think of the DVC as Disney’s version of a timeshare. But uniquely, Members are not “locked in” to a particular Disney destination, Resort, style of accommodation, season of travel, or length of stay. Rather, Members utilize a Vacation Points system, offering more flexibility. Shootin’ Arcade We’ll be keeping an eye out for more details, so you’ll want to stay tuned to DFB for more. 13. Are you heading to the Magic Kingdom soon? If so, we need to talk! Magic Kingdom At the moment, I’m sure you’re juggling all the plans and preparations for the trip. Plans like which hotel you’ll be staying at and which restaurants you’ll be getting your noms from. Speaking of reservations, there’s a MAJOR issue in the My Disney Experience App that could potentially mess up your plans — especially with Tiana’s Bayou Adventure opening up in a couple of days (and we don’t want any issues for you). Let’s talk about it! As we said, there’s a major issue with the My Disney Experience App that could seriously mess up your plans for scoring a Virtual Queue. We want you to be prepared so it doesn’t catch you by surprise on your next trip to the Magic Kingdom. So, what’s the issue. Let’s say you’re all excited to go to the Magic Kingdom and get on the latest rides like Tiana’s Bayou Adventure and TRON Lightcycle / Run. You’ve got your whole squad ready with their own phone to maximize your chances of scoring those VQs. Sounds like a great plan, right? Well, let’s talk about what happened to me and another member of our team! Virtual Queue First up, my brother, sister, and I were heading to Magic Kingdom, and I’m the only Annual Passholder among us. On June 14th, I was up at 7 AM sharp, trying to snag a VQ for Tiana’s ride. Meanwhile, at the same time, my brother was doing the same for TRON. And here’s where it all went haywire: Disney’s system didn’t appreciate the fact that we were using multiple phones from the same planning group. TRON Lightcycle / Run Virtual Queue What happened next was a mess. The app booted my sister from our group and then completely glitched out. Then, bizarrely, I found myself in the TRON Virtual Queue TWICE, and my sister couldn’t be added back in. It took me having to get her a separate boarding group after I had already joined Tiana’s VQ. ©Disney By that point, my brother and I were in TRON Group 18, and she was stuck in Group 79 (what a logistical nightmare, right?). After that, we spoke with a Cast Member, who told us that Disney’s system glitches if multiple phones from the same planning group try to book VQs at the same time (if only we knew that beforehand). Now, another member of our team also had an issue with the app (ironically on the same day). Let’s go over what happened to them. The first thing that happened was that two of her friends tried adding her to their party for the 1 PM Tiana’s AP Virtual Queue, without her even knowing. One friend succeeded in getting their party a boarding group, but the second friend received a message saying someone in their party had already been assigned a boarding group. So, they had to remove her before trying again. By that time, the VQ was full for the day. The regular virtual queue will look similar to this Passholder version. Next, her friends went to Guest Relations and explained the situation, and the Cast Member was able to help! They managed to get everyone into the same boarding group. So, there’s hope! The moral of the story is that if you run into a similar problem, you’ll definitely want to hit up Guest Relations. They MIGHT be able to help, just remember there’s no guarantee. Your mileage may vary, but it’s worth a shot. You can find Guest Relations near each park entrance. The major thing you’ll want to take away from all this is that if you’re planning to book VQs for two different rides using multiple phones, BE CAREFUL! The My Disney Experience app system might glitch out, causing you to lose a ton of time and potentially miss out on your rides. Keep these tips in mind (hopefully, they’ll help you avoid any headaches): Designate One Person per Ride: Assign ONE person to book each VQ and stick to it. Also, don’t use multiple phones from the same planning group for the same ride. Communicate: Make sure everyone in your group is on the same page to avoid overlapping attempts. Guest Relations: If things go haywire, head to Guest Relations. They MIGHT be able to work some magic but keep your expectations realistic. Cinderella Castle There you have it! A few things to keep in mind as you get ready for your next trip to the Magic Kingdom. Until then, keep it right here as we bring you all the latest updates and Disney news. Tower of Terror projections Jollywood Nights requires a special, separately sold after-hours ticket and will be held on the following dates: November 9th, 13th, 16th, 18th, 23rd, 25th, 30th December 2nd, 7th, 11th, 14th, 18th, 21st Tickets for Jollywood Nights 2024 range from $159 to $179 per ticket, plus tax (prices vary by event date), and go on sale to the general public on July 10th. And while we felt Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas provided better overall value, we’re still excited to give this year’s Jollywood Nights a second chance! Check out our experience on the opening night of Jollywood Nights 2023! Entertainment from last year included live music throughout Hollywood Studios and event-exclusive shows like the Holidays in Hollywood Show, a Nightmare Before Christmas-themed sing-along, and the Jingle Bell, Jingle BAM! fireworks show. Jingle Bell Jingle BAM Additionally, the event let us meet some rare characters, such as Powerline Max, Chip ‘n’ Dale as the Rescue Rangers, and Phineas and Ferb. That character lost has only grown this year, and will include new “rare” characters like Bo Peep, Lotso, and versions of Baloo, and King Louie from TaleSpin. Phineas and Ferb at Jollywood Nights We’d be remiss if we didn’t mention the exclusive snacks and merchandise Jollywood Nights offers! 2024 will see a new merchandise collection inspired by the original character Ollie, the most dapper gingerbread man in Hollywood. The line includes items like a Minnie Mouse ear headband and festive apparel. Ollie ears!! Another big perk is that most of the Hollywood Studios rides are also open, so you can not only take in the festive atmosphere but get your fill of rides and attractions, as well! 21. Let’s face it — Disney World can get seriously crowded, especially during busy times of the year like holidays, school breaks, and long weekends. Magic Kingdom But, even if it feels like you can’t escape the throngs of people everywhere you look, there are still certain places you can run off to if you’re looking for a bit of peace and quiet. Even when everywhere else is disgustingly packed in Disney World, you might find that these spots are still weirdly empty! We’ve all been there — it’s crowded in Disney World and all you want is to take a break without it being so…people-y. These are some of our favorite spots to escape to even when the rest of the parks are disgustingly packed. Morocco Pavilion The Morocco Pavilion at EPCOT is a hidden treat and we almost don’t want to give away our secret hiding spot, but if you enter the pavilion and turn to your left, you’ll find a doorway leading into a separate area. Here, you’ll find the Fez House, and it’s a beautifully decorated recreation of an authentic Moroccan home. Fez House But, that’s not the only peaceful place in the Morocco Pavilion. This one goes back pretty far, and because of that, people don’t always know that there’s a whole hidden area and bar back here. It’s often pretty empty and there are even tables and chairs for you to sit back and relax at. Tom Sawyer Island Tom Sawyer Island is technically an attraction, but it’s sort of its own Magic Kingdom land as well. You can get to the island by riding on a log raft, and you’ll return to the rest of Magic Kingdom in the same way. Because of this, folks often skip over it in favor of other, potentially more exciting attractions. Tom Sawyer Island But, while you’re there, you can explore the area on dirt paths and bridges and look for secret caves along the way. There’s also Fort Langhorn, which is a playground for kids (and adults if you’re up for it!) and is a great way to let them run off some steam if they need it. Just keep in mind that Tom Sawyer Island closes earlier than the rest of the park, so plan accordingly! Imagination Pavilion The Imagination Pavilion in EPCOT is home to the Journey Into Imagination with Figment ride, but after you leave the Imagination Institute on your ride with Figment you’ll step into the Imagination Pavilion. It’s home to the Mickey shorts theater, an exclusive Visa meet and greet, and a grassy area where you’ll sometimes find Winnie the Pooh hanging out. Imagination Pavilion There’s also a Figment meet and greet inside, but it’s not too popular these days which means you can explore the air-conditioned pavilion and take a break at your leisure. Just tell Figment we said, “Hi!” Mickey’s PhilharMagic Mickey’s PhilharMagic is a 3D movie offering and it is truly a magical experience in Magic Kingdom. Don your glasses and take a seat and be prepared to be immersed in classic Disney songs! And, chances are you might be one of the only people in the theater when you do. While this is technically an attraction as well, it’s not a very popular one. Mickey’s PhilharMagic But, it is air-conditioned, often free of people and kiddos running around, and makes for a great place to take a nap! Not that we’re speaking from experience or anything. The next time you’re looking for a bit more space or just some peace and quiet, consider knocking out an attraction like this at the same time! Tree of Life Gardens Over at Animal Kingdom, the Tree of Life Gardens are a peaceful trail surrounding — you guessed it — the Tree of Life. You’ll find plenty of walkways through some beautiful stone carvings and shaded areas, and you might pass by a few animal exhibits during your visit as well. Waterfalls at Animal Kingdom in Tree of Life Gardens This area doesn’t have any specific seating area, though there are some benches along the pathways here and there. We’ve often found that the Tree of Life Gardens don’t get a whole lot of traffic since folks are busy trying to experience the rest of the park, making it a perfect spot to take a break. Our favorite thing to do is grab an iced coffee and take a nice stroll in the morning! 22. Summer is in full swing in Disney World, and so is the heat, humidity, and rain! Tropical Ube Cocktail But that hasn’t stopped us from hunting down new food, like a S’mores Shake that annoyed us because marshmallows kept getting stuck in our straw (still delicious, though). 23. Let us set the scene. You’re at Disney World with children. It’s dinner time. Maybe you’re dining at the 50s Prime Time Cafe at Disney’s Hollywood Studios. Now, it’s been a long, busy day in the park. Your little one needs to sit down for a nice, hearty meal and get some rest. Only one problem. They’re restless. They’re hungry. They’re a little cranky. 24. If you have a day planned in Disney Springs, you’ll want to plan to have some lunch while you’re doing all that shopping…if you can ever manage to leave the seductive World of Disney store, that is (we know, it’s SO hard). Raglan Road Now, there are a lot of GREAT lunch options in Disney Springs, including some of our favorite restaurants. You could grab some quick bites to go, but if you’re looking to save a little bit of money (because…you know…all that shopping!), you might want to head on over to Raglan Road for the special summer lunch menu, which offers cheaper versions of many of Raglan Road’s existing lunch menu. Say what? Want to know what that’s all about? Well, we checked it out for you! Raglan Road did something similar last year with its Summer Plates menu, and it was such a hit that the restaurant decided to bring it back this year for the Summer Lovin’ lunch Menu. We were invited to a media event to check out the new menu PLUS see what’s new with the restaurant. One of the first things we got to see was the newly remodeled Raglan Room inside the restaurant. Remodeled Raglan Room The idea for changing the room was to reflect the family rooms in Ireland. There, it’s typical for older generations in pubs to turn them over to a younger generation, so this new room is representative of that. Looks good! Now on to the Summer Lovin’ lunch menu. It’s available on Monday through Friday from 11AM to 3PM. This menu will run through September and will offer a value meal for those who aren’t on the Disney Dining Plan or are looking for a great meal at a cheaper price during their day away from the parks. The menu features select Raglan Road appetizers, entrees, desserts, and cocktails. New lunch menu Cocktails are $10 each, including the Iced Irish (Bushmills Original Irish Whiskey, butterscotch, Baileys Salted Caramel, cold brew coffee, and whipped cream), Rosemary Maple Whiskey Sour (Dickel 12 Tennessee Whisky, crushed rosemary, dark maple syrup, Fees foam, and lemon sour), Blueberry Mint Lemonade (blueberry flavored Vodka and fresh lemonade with blueberries and mint), Smokey Bee (Los Vecinos Smokey Mezcal, agave syrup, basil, fresh lemon juice, and Fees foam), and Blathanna Blossom (Gunpowder Irish Gin, Italicus Liqueur, butterfly pea extract, Fees foam, and fresh sour mix topped with prosecco). Cocktails We went for the Rosemary Maple Whiskey Sour, which is a low and smokey whiskey. The rosemary really pulls out more of the earthy flavors. Rosemary Maple Whiskey Sour All appetizers are also $10 each. We tried the Sure I’m Frittered, which is a Broccoli and corn fritter with a sweetcorn puree and fire roasted pepper relish. The fritters are chewy and fresh and we loved the sauce — SO good. The vegetables that come with it are also super delish. Sure I’m Frittered The Bang Bang Chicken is Buttermilk marinated fried chicken with a spicey bang bang mayonnaise. If that sounds good, well, it is! The creamy low-spice mayo over the chicken is almost sweet, with a hint of mild buffalo-like spice. The crispy fried chicken also added a nice texture to everything. Bang Bang Chicken The Garlic Parmesan Chips are Frency Fry PERFECTION. The shredded cheese was delicious and the fries were wonderfully salted and crispy on the outside. We are NEVER not going to love cheesy fries, y’all. Garlic Parmesan Chips You can also get the Soul Soup and Salad Combo for an appetizer (which could honestly be a meal, though). There were two soups to try, so we chose the Tomato and Gin Soup, which we might just say is the best tomato soup in Disney World. It’s salty and stays warm for a long time. There is almost something like a softened cream cheese folded into it, giving it an extra richness. We could eat this EVERY DAY. Tomato and Gin Soup The other soup options are the Pea and Ham Soup and a Country Veggie Soup. Pea and Ham Soup The entrees menu, which is $20 per entree, includes some Raglan Road classics, like the Cookes of Dublin Slow Braised Beef Grilled Cheese Sandwich made with Braised beef, caramelized onions, mushrooms, pickled cucumbers, garlic aioli, and five cheese blend, grilled on sourdough with chips. Cookes of Dublin Slow Braised Beef Grilled Cheese You can also order the Shepherd’s Pie To Try, made with Braised and pulled beef & lamb with root vegetables in a rich red wine jus with Irish peat smoked mashed potato. Shepherd’s Pie To Try Another option is The Slow Lamb, made with Braised lamb casserole with root vegetables, rosemary, topped with a thinly sliced potato. We also discovered that these entrees are shareable, and you may want to share some of the larger ones, like the sandwiches and burgers, especially if you’re getting an appetizer (plus bread service). The Slow Lamb For those with a sweet tooth, Raglan Road’s desserts are available, except for the Apple Strudel, which will be debuting on the menu sometime soon. Desserts So, if you’re looking for a good lunch option in Disney Springs that’s also a good value, stop by Raglan Road and get your eat on! Stay tuned to DFB for more.
