Disney World’s ride vehicles come in all shapes and sizes. From Space Mountain’s rocket ship-shaped roller coaster trains and the iconic flying elephants on Dumbo to Star Tours’ Starspeeder simulators, Kilimanjaro Safaris’ off-road trams, and Test Track’s lifesize slot cars, there are vehicles fit for every type of ride system and party size. New ride vehicles So, let’s say you’re visiting Disney World as a party of three. Obviously, you can ride any of the resort’s attractions, but certain ride vehicles make it much easier to ride together — sometimes as the only party in the vehicle — better than others. The Haunted Mansion The iconic attraction’s Doom Buggies are ideal for most parties of three, making for a comfortable fit with their overhang, providing an isolated way to experience the Mansion’s “hot and cold running chills.” Haunted Mansion The Doom Buggies, which run on the continuous motion Omnimover ride system, might also be Disney’s second most famous ride vehicle, behind only the iconic Dumbo ride vehicles (it’s tough to beat something that’s in the Smithsonian after all). Think about how many toys, souvenirs, Christmas ornaments, yard decorations, pet beds, and other collectibles have been modeled after the all-black shells. ©Disney Store 3 Things I Wish I Knew Before Leaving Magic Kingdom Test Track The aforementioned Test Track uses vehicles based on test cars, with two rows of three seats in each. meaning that a party of three is guaranteed to sit together in the same row. ©Disney Test Track’s vehicles received a literal and figurative new coat of paint in recent years as part of the massive renovation that fans have dubbed Test Track 3.0. The latest vehicle design features a subtle design with a darker wrap that “helps the vehicles blend in better with the environment and lean more into the feel of a research & development prototype,” according to Disney. Test Track Ignore the Haters and Do This First in EPCOT Soarin’ Currently in its special Across America variant, Soarin’ uses one of Disney’s most unique ride systems. Designed like a massive erector set, the ride uses benches that lift riders up against a massive screen to mimic the feeling of hang gliding. Each “bench” features 10 seats, meaning that any party of three will be able to sit together. On Soarin’! The Most Popular Ride in EPCOT You Should SKIP (and What You Should Ride Instead) Millennium Falcon: Smugglers Run Not only will parties of three be in the same ride vehicle on Smugglers Run, but they’ll each have a specific job in the cockpit of the “fastest ship in the galaxy.” Of course, they’ll likely need to share that cockpit and responsibilities with either a party of two or a duo of single riders. New missions on Millennium Falcon: Smugglers Run Speaking of those specific jobs, while the pilot has always been the in-demand role, these days, many guests want to be the Engineer. See, on the new Mandalorian and Grogu mission, those in the Engineer position can click a button and have direct communication with Grogu! In this version, the Engineer also gets to decide which mission you will be completing. We love that the Engineer position now gets to take a more active role in the story. Hi Grogu! 4 Disney’s Hollywood Studios Restaurants the Experts Refuse to Book Boat Rides While any of Walt Disney World’s boat rides could technically count here, the vehicles on Navi River Journey, Living with the Land, Pirates of the Caribbean, and “it’s a small world” are particularly pleasant for parties of three, as they’ll be able to get their own row together but also sit comfortably for their respective cruises, be it the happiest that ever sailed… “It’s A Small World” boats …learning about the crops grown at EPCOT… Living with the Land …listening to the Shaman of Song… This is fine …or marauding with pirates! Pirates of the Caribbean If you’re heading to Disney World as a party of three, each of these rides will allow you and your compatriots to ride together comfortably. It’s been a bit of a rocky world when it comes to Disney and AI, especially after Disney pulled out of their deal with OpenAI following the company’s shutdown of Sora. ©Variety The deal between Disney and OpenAI included a $1 billion investment in OpenAI, but now that that has fallen through, Disney has been thinking of other ways to make use of AI regarding their IP. Now, there’s been an update in the saga, as Disney has begun using Adobe’s Firefly Foundry, which is the commercial version of Adobe’s AI model. Variety has reported that, months after the deal with OpenAI fell through, Disney’s Imagineering Research & Development team is beginning to use Adobe’s Firefly Foundry, the commercial version of Adobe’s AI model that is designed to protect a brand’s intellectual property. That’s a big deal for Disney, as they’re currently still pursuing AI companies like Midjourney and MiniMax in court over copyright infringement. The idea behind using the tool is to “help Imagineers design and visualize elements of Disney’s upcoming parks and attractions.” So far, the Firefly models have been trained on franchises like Frozen, Cars, and Lilo & Stitch, and have also helped Imagineers “turn sketches into fully rendered 2D concept art along with turning 2D renderings into 3D prototype models.” ©Disney In a recent statement about using the technology, Kyle Laughlin, Walt Disney Imagineering’s senior vice president of R&D, technology, and engineering, said, “At Imagineering, we’ve always believed technology and human creativity can work together responsibly. Our work with Adobe lets us bring Disney stories and characters to life in our Parks faster, and with the emotional quality our guests expect.” ©Variety Hannah Elsakr, Adobe’s vice president of GenAI New Business Ventures, added onto the statement, saying, “Storytelling is in Disney’s DNA. Empowering creators with the latest AI innovations is in ours. As the teams at Imagineering build new experiences for fans around the world, our tools and workflows will provide a creative foundation to explore bolder ideas and make the best ones a reality.” More Recent News You May Have Missed Walt Disney Imagineering Is Using a New System — And It’s Going To Be ControversialNEWS: Security Just Completely Changed at Universal HollywoodOPENING DATE Revealed for New Record-Breaking Six Flags Coaster! This Disney Movie News Has Us FREAKING OutWe Think We Know When ‘Toy Story 5’ Is Coming to Disney+ We’ll be sure to keep you updated on this, as well as all other Disney news, so stay tuned to DFB. If you’ve got a trip planned to come to the Disneyland Resort this summer, you’re probably trying to figure out where the best spot to get a frozen treat is! Happy Ice! Well, a brand-new snack stand just opened at Downtown Disney at the Disneyland Resort, and this might be the spot to cool you down this summer. We had to check out this new stand, and we’re bringing you our full review. Is this worth going out of your way for? Let’s find out! The new snack spot at Downtown Disney is called Happy Ice. The brand sells Italian ice, and it’s known for its fruity flavors and frozen desserts. Did you know that this is the first permanent Black-owned dessert company in the shopping and dining district at Disneyland Resort?! Happy Ice! They had so many flavors to choose from! We’re warning you, you might stand there for a while trying to figure out which flavor is speaking to you. So many flavors! We ended up getting two frozen treats, starting with the Time Machine for $12.00. The treats do come in different sizes, and we ended up going with a large. Time Machine This tasted like an elevated DOLE Whip! It’s so incredibly refreshing and tasty. The texture is like a smooth gelato with a slight crunch like shaved ice and a tang like a sorbet. It’s popular for a reason, and the flavors just go so well together. This is delicious! You can taste each of the flavors separately, yet altogether, if that makes sense!? A large is deceivingly huge and a perfect shareable size…or you can keep it all to yourself! We’re giving this a perfect 5/5, and we would definitely get this flavor again! This was amazing! The other flavor we got was the Rainbow Gelati for $15, also in a large. This one had a scoop of Joy-Lati, which is the ice cream you can get on top of any of their flavors. Rainbow is their signature flavor because it has all their fruit flavors in one! Rainbow Gelati It’s absolutely delicious and refreshing! The texture is smooth and creamy, and the Joy Lati ice cream on top adds a milky flavor. It wasn’t necessarily our favorite combo, but if you like Paletas, you would love it! The rainbow flavor itself was a 5/5, but it drops a little to a 4/5 with the Joy-Lati. This was really good! You can never go wrong with a frozen treat, and these ones are TASTY! While you’re visiting Disneyland Resort this summer, we highly recommend you stop by here and try out some of their flavors. Disney recently dropped a litany of details about the upcoming Monstropolis at Hollywood Studios, including the confirmation that the land will contain a full-scale version of Harryhausen’s! Our chopsticks In the original 2001 Pixar film, Harryhausen’s — named after legendary Hollywood special effects pioneer Ray Harryhausen, whose creature designs inspired the Monsters, Inc. design team — is a sushi restaurant in Monstropolis. Its head chef is a six-armed octopus. Why six instead of eight? Because the character is a reference to the 1955 film It Came from Beneath the Sea, which features a similar six-armed creature created by — guess who? — Ray Harryhausen. Disney fans have long hoped that the company would recreate the restaurant at one of its theme parks. So, how will Disney translate Harryhausen’s into the real world? Well, we already have a partial answer. Mike & Sulley’s Earlier this year, Disney debuted a new restaurant on the Disney Cruise Line’s Disney Adventure, Mike & Sulley’s Flavors of Asia. If the name doesn’t give it away, the restaurant is inspired by Harryhausen’s, both in menu and architecture. The atmosphere really felt like Harryhausen’s had been brought to life as an upscale dining experience. Mike & Sulley’s Flavors of Asia There’s even a recreation of the facade of Harryhausen’s, which, according to the Monstropolis concept art, is also going to be recreated in full at Hollywood Studios. Harryhausen’s (gray building, near top left) There are Monsters, Inc. details all over the restaurant. Look at this artwork! Some are quite obvious, while others are a bit hidden, and you’ll want to look closely to spot them all. Look at those silhouettes! As far as the menu goes, Mike & Sulley’s Flavors of Asia offers up four distinct Japanese dining experiences, including From Sushi to Steak and Beyond (similar to hibachi style) and A Taste of Harryhausen’s. We were so thrilled to step foot into this new spot, and let’s just say, it very much took us by surprise! We tried several items during our dinner, including: Tarabagani for $30, which is King Crab Tartlet, Muskmelon Pearl, Yuzu Agar, and Caviar. The crust on the outside was light and crispy, and the filling was absolutely incredible! Not only does it look gorgeous, but there’s plenty of the meaty, fresh crab in abundance, the yuzu agar was jelly-like and on the sweeter/floral side, which was interesting, but worked well. The caviar added bites of extra saltiness that we adored, and the pearls added the most amazing crunch to the dish; those edible flowers were stunning. Tarabagani Kale for $15, which is Curly Kale, Pea Purée, Pine Nut, Puffed Rice, Yuzu-Chia Seed Vinaigrette. Our waiter described this as only the healthy thing on the menu, but that was okay with us! The kale was perfectly massaged and not bitter at all, and we loved that the pine nuts were mild and nutty and added a great texture. The pea puree was so intriguing with its classic pea/natural, subtle flavor, and made the kale even lighter somehow. The puffed rice was fun, airy, and added even more texture to the dish. We also noticed some pieces of dragonfruit that added some sweetness we loved! Each bite was earthy, light, subtly sweet, and we couldn’t get enough. Kale Asparagus for $12, which is made with Beni Sloga Hollandais and Bonio Flakes. Our waiter recommended these, and we didn’t really understand why, but these were VERY surprising. The asparagus was cut into bite-sized pieces and PERFECTLY cooked, making them super soft but not mushy. The hollandaise was thick, but the main flavor was ginger, and the sauce was creamy and so fragrant. The flavor was refreshing and slightly sharp, which made it a very unique way to dress up a traditional side. The full spread The PURE BLACK AUSTRALIAN Striploin was our $45 entree. This was so tender, it cut like BUTTER! It was cooked perfectly medium rare with a warm pink center. It had several accompaniments like grilled onions, a tomato, fried garlic, a sesame sauce, and seaweed salt. It was genuinely an amazing cut of meat that didn’t have too much fat and only had one tough spot. It was also the cheapest steak on the menu, which makes us wonder how delicious the others are, if this one is as solid as this! Pure Black Australian Striploin For dessert, we grabbed the Basque Ube Cheesecake for $12, which is served with blue butterfly pea flower crème and matcha tuile. This was incredible! The ube base made it super creamy while being sweet and earthy. The top was the blue butterfly cream, which didn’t have a ton of flavor (that was okay by us), but the Cast Member told us that the blue color comes from the butterfly pea flower. We also loved the charred, almost caramel-flavored layer on top, which was notable, and we could have eaten 14 more of these with no problem. Basque Ube Cheesecake Between the upscale Japanese menu and the Monsters, Inc. vibes, we really loved our experience at Mike & Sulley’s Flavors of Asia, and certainly hope that the upcoming Harryhausen’s at Hollywood Studios follows in these footsteps. The menu would especially be a welcome addition to the park’s offerings, as there’s nothing else quite like it at Hollywood Studios. That being said, there is one major thing that we want to see added for the upcoming Harryhausen’s: A MASSIVE ANIMATRONIC OCTOPUS CHEF! ©Pixar Disney has essentially confirmed that more information about Harryhausen’s will be revealed at this summer’s D23 Ultimate Fan Event. We just got back from getting the chance to check out Universal Kids Resort before its official opening on July 1st in Frisco, Texas! Universal Kids Resort We got to explore the hotel attached to the park, as well as all the different lands there are to check out and all the attractions inside each one. As if that all wasn’t already great to see just how much kids will adore this resort, there’s something else we noticed that shows just how much Universal worked to make this hotel kid-friendly, but it’s not where you may expect! If you’re a parent, you may know the struggle of taking your little one into the bathroom in most places. If they’re old enough to be out of diapers or pull-ups, so you don’t need to use the changing table anymore, that means getting them comfortable using the normal toilets. Let’s be real, as adults, we don’t think twice about it, but for young kids, those things look HUGE. That’s why Universal Kids Resort did something very specific — do you notice it? Notice the difference? In every single bathroom throughout the entire resort — yes, that means the public hotel bathrooms as well as the restrooms all around the park, the toilets have a normal adult seat, then a smaller seat for kiddos that can come down right on top, and finally, a lid. The lid itself is pretty rare, as you don’t often see them in public restrooms, but even rarer are the child-size seats. We love that this addition makes it accessible for both kids AND adults, though keep in mind that this means you will need to be touching the seat more than usual — that’s why it’s more important than EVER to wash your hands thoroughly afterwards! Universal Kids Resort This park is mostly geared towards kids, so this design makes perfect sense — kids can’t get themselves to the park on their own, but it would be silly to only have kid toilet seats available, or else the adults would feel uncomfortable. This solution really is great for everyone involved. More Recent Universal Kids Resort News! This Bathroom Update Might Be Our Favorite Part of Universal’s Newest Theme ParkREVIEW: Hold Up. Summer has officially arrived at Disney World, which means new experiences, summer storms, and lots of heat. However, we weren’t expecting a major change to hit EPCOT. EPCOT Monorail On our last visit, we walked into the park, and we were SHOCKED by what we saw! When you first enter EPCOT, you are met with the beautiful sights of Spaceship Earth, of course, but also a gorgeous flower display, typically designed for whatever EPCOT Festival is currently going on. 2026 EPCOT Flower and Garden Festival However, on our last visit, this area looked totally different. Currently, EPCOT is in between festivals as we wait for the beloved Food & Wine Festival to start in a few months. So right now, the display looks much more casual and sleek than usual. New EPCOT Entrance Flowers We are obsessed with this new look! It is so beautiful and the perfect subtle look for the summer months while we wait for the Food & Wine Festival to begin on August 27th. Speaking of Food & Wine, we just got a bunch of news about this fan-favorite festival. July in Disney World already comes with a built-in soundtrack of thunder, stroller wheels, and someone in your party asking if “Florida hot” is a medical category. Disney’s BoardWalk But in July 2026, Disney World hotels will have even more going on than the usual summer rush. We’re talking restaurant closures, room refurbishments, construction work, temporary walking paths, convention crowds, and a few resort areas that may be noisier than your average rope drop family trying to mobilize at 6:45AM. None of this means you should panic-cancel your trip and start a new life in the mountains. But if you’re staying at a Disney World hotel in July, there are a few changes you’ll want to know before you roll your suitcase into the lobby like a person who still believes vacation is supposed to be relaxing. Grand Floridian Café Is Closing for Refurbishment Let’s start with the big one. Grand Floridian Café at Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort & Spa is expected to temporarily close from mid-July through October 2026 for refurbishment. Grand Floridian Cafe This is not a tiny little snack cart with three muffins and a dream. Grand Floridian Café is one of the more reliable table service restaurants at the resort, especially for breakfast and brunch. It’s not always the flashiest spot on property, but it is comfortable, pretty, and usually the kind of place where you can eat an actual meal without being asked to emotionally process a prix fixe menu. Mickey waffle with chicken? Yes, please! During the closure, brunch is expected to temporarily move upstairs to Cítricos. That’s good news if you had your heart set on a Grand Floridian brunch moment, but it also means you’ll want to check availability and details before assuming your usual routine will be untouched. All other dining locations at the Grand Floridian are expected to remain available, but this still matters if you’re staying there, resort hopping there, or planning a very specific “I need chicken and Mickey waffles in a Victorian daydream” kind of morning. If You Like Homecomin’, You Might Also Like Grand Floridian Cafe in Disney World Grand Floridian Construction Is Still Happening Grand Floridian Café is only part of the story. Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort & Spa is continuing renovations in select areas, including work around the porte cochere/covered entrance, through early 2027. Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort That means guests may see or hear work during daytime hours. They may also need to follow alternate walking paths around the resort. This is the kind of thing that sounds minor until you’re wearing vacation sandals, carrying three refillable mugs, and trying to figure out why your usual path suddenly has a construction wall doing its best impression of a plot twist. Grand Floridian The Grand Floridian is still gorgeous. It is still expensive. It is still a monorail resort with lobby energy that whispers, “Would you like to buy a hat you cannot afford?” But if you’re paying premium rates in July, know that the resort is still in its refurbishment era. FINALLY! The Grand Floridian Tea Room Has Reopened in Disney World! Contemporary Resort Work Continues Disney’s Contemporary Resort is also in the construction conversation. Refurbishment work is underway in phases across select areas of Disney’s Contemporary Resort, including Bay Lake Tower and the Main Tower atrium, and is expected to continue through late 2027. The Main Tower exterior maintenance may impact views in some areas, and guests may need to use alternate paths of travel at times. Disney has also warned that guests may see or hear construction during daytime hours. More resurfacing This is one to watch closely if you booked the Contemporary because you want that classic monorail-through-the-building magic. The Contemporary is still one of the most convenient hotels in Disney World, especially for Magic Kingdom days, but construction can change the feel of a stay. A room with a less-than-magical view of scaffolding is not exactly the same as waking up to Bay Lake or Cinderella Castle. Contemporary Walkway to Magic Kingdom Still, that walk to Magic Kingdom remains the resort’s golden ticket. Construction or not, being able to avoid post-fireworks transportation chaos is a power move. EVERY Weekly Closure You Need To Know For Your Upcoming Disney World Trip BoardWalk Inn Is Still Under Refurbishment Disney’s BoardWalk Inn is also undergoing refurbishment work in select areas through late 2026. Most resort amenities, including dining, recreation, and merchandise locations, are expected to remain available. That’s great, because the BoardWalk area is one of the best places to stay if your vacation priorities include EPCOT, Hollywood Studios, and pretending a nighttime stroll counts as cardio. The BoardWalk But guests may still see or hear work during daytime hours. This is the eternal Disney hotel trade-off. BoardWalk is wonderfully located, charming, and useful if you plan to spend time around EPCOT. It is also currently doing some renovation tap dancing behind the scenes. HUGE Changes Hit Former Jellyrolls Location at Disney World Port Orleans Riverside Rooms Are Being Refurbished At Disney’s Port Orleans Resort – Riverside, guest rooms are undergoing refurbishment throughout different areas of the resort through August 2027. This is a long project, so July guests should not be surprised if they see or hear construction work in the area. Please Pardon Our Appearance! Riverside is a huge resort, which can be both a blessing and a curse. The size means construction may not be right outside your door. It also means your room could feel approximately one Louisiana bayou and a half away from where you want to be if you don’t pay attention to location. Disney’s Port Orleans – Riverside If you’re staying here in July, it may be worth requesting a room away from active work areas. Requests are never guaranteed, because Disney room assignments are not a genie lamp with a front desk name tag, but it never hurts to ask politely. These 5 Disney World Hotels Are Suddenly a Much Better Deal Animal Kingdom Lodge Work Continues at Jambo House Disney’s Animal Kingdom Lodge is also on the refurbishment list. Kidani Village room work was scheduled first, followed by refurbishment work at Jambo House from May 2026 through January 2027. For July guests, that means Jambo House could still have active work. Guests may see or hear construction, though most amenities are expected to remain available. Disney’s Animal Kingdom Lodge Animal Kingdom Lodge is one of those resorts where the vibe does a lot of heavy lifting. You’re not staying there because it is the easiest resort for Magic Kingdom transportation. You’re staying there because the lobby is stunning, the restaurants are excellent, and there are actual animals outside, casually reminding you that your balcony view is better than your home’s Ring camera. But if you’re booking a peaceful resort day, it’s worth keeping the refurbishment in mind. Why Fans Are Suddenly Changing Their 2027 Disney World Hotel Plans Saratoga Springs Has Several Active Projects Disney’s Saratoga Springs Resort & Spa has a few things happening in July. The resort has areas under refurbishment, including the Treehouse Villas. Guests may see or hear construction activity during daytime hours. The Turf Club Lounge is also temporarily closed during part of the refurbishment period, though The Turf Club Bar & Grill remains open with a pop-up bar and modified menu during the lounge closure. ©Disney On top of that, Disney’s Lake Buena Vista Golf Course is temporarily closed for renovations through October 2026. Guests are directed to Disney’s Magnolia Golf Course and Disney’s Palm Golf Course instead. Let’s play some golf! This one is especially important for guests who book Saratoga Springs for space, quiet, golf, Disney Springs access, or Treehouse Villa dreams. Saratoga can be wonderfully relaxing, but July guests should double-check what’s open and what’s not before building a whole resort day around one specific plan. A Hot New Bombshell Has Entered The (Treehouse) Villa in Disney World Wilderness Lodge Exterior Work Continues Disney’s Wilderness Lodge and Copper Creek Villas & Cabins are undergoing exterior refurbishment work through late 2026. As part of the work, the security kiosk expansion is also expected to continue into the fall. The entrance should remain open, though lane closures may happen at times. Guests may notice impacted views in some areas and hear daytime construction. Wilderness Lodge And yes, this one hurts a little because Wilderness Lodge is the resort. The queen. The fireplace. The pine-scented antidote to theme park overstimulation. The place that makes you think, “Maybe I don’t need to go to Magic Kingdom today. Maybe I need a rocking chair and a snack.” Construction at Wilderness Lodge The good news is that most amenities are expected to remain available. The less-good news is that construction can still mess with the cozy spell. If you’re staying here in July, go in knowing some views or arrival routes may not be at their postcard best. Disney World Confirms 7 NEW Hotel Changes This Summer Yacht Club Has Exterior Work and a Restaurant Closure Disney’s Yacht Club Resort is undergoing visible exterior maintenance through late 2026. That work may impact views around the resort and may require alternate paths of travel at times. Also, Yachtsman Steakhouse is temporarily closed for refurbishment through August 2026. Yacht Club This is worth knowing if Yacht Club is your “grown-up Disney trip” hotel. The resort still has that excellent EPCOT-area location, Stormalong Bay access, and walkability to EPCOT and Hollywood Studios. But if you were planning a polished steak dinner at Yachtsman in July, you’ll need a backup. Yachtsman Steakhouse The good news is that the EPCOT resort area is stacked with dining alternatives. You’ve got Ale & Compass, Flying Fish, Beaches & Cream, several Swan and Dolphin restaurants, and the entire World Showcase basically sitting there saying, “Please make a dinner decision before everyone gets hungry and mean.” Why You Should Add Disney’s Yacht Club to Your Resort Hopping List Right NOW All-Star Movies Is Getting Room and Shop Work Disney’s All-Star Movies Resort is also seeing refurbishment work. Donald’s Double Feature merchandise shop is undergoing a phased refurbishment through late August 2026, though the shop will remain open during the work. Guest rooms are also undergoing planned refurbishment through January 2027. All-Star Movies You may see or hear construction, and alternate paths of travel may be in place. This is a value resort, so a lot of guests book it because they want to spend less on the room and more on snacks, souvenirs, Lightning Lanes, or the deeply personal financial mistake known as “just one more Loungefly.” If that’s your strategy, fair. But know that July may come with some construction noise or temporary route changes. FULL TOUR of an All-Star Movies Standard Hotel Room in Disney World! Fort Wilderness Road and Pool Area Work Disney’s Fort Wilderness Resort & Campground also has work to note in July. Paving work is scheduled throughout Fort Wilderness from early June through late July. The work is expected to happen in phases, with some work occurring overnight and some during the day. Lobby There is also work around the Meadow Swimmin’ Pool area, including lighting fixtures and pole replacement, scheduled from late June into early August. Fort Wilderness is its own beast. It is part resort, part campground, part golf cart parade, part “why is everyone here better at decorating than I am?” July is already a busy month there, especially around the Fourth of July, so road work and pool-area projects are definitely worth watching. Fort Wilderness Resort If you’re staying at Fort Wilderness in July, give yourself extra time to move around the resort. Also, if your plans involve looping around on a golf cart, because of course they do, be ready for possible detours. Why Buying a Refillable Mug at Disney’s Fort Wilderness Is Pointless Conferences Could Make Some Resorts Busier July also brings several conferences and conventions to Disney World hotels and nearby Disney-area resorts. These don’t usually shut down a hotel for regular guests, but they can change the feel of a resort. You may notice more people in the lobby, busier lounges, more demand for certain restaurants, and extra activity around convention spaces. Contemporary’s Convention Center A few public July 2026 events to know include: Western CPE at Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort from July 6th-10th. Friends for Life Orlando 2026 at Disney’s Coronado Springs Resort from July 7th-12th. Endocrinology for Primary Care at Disney’s Contemporary Resort from July 10th-12th. The National School Leaders Conference at Disney’s Coronado Springs Resort from July 13th-15th. Hot Topics in Pediatrics at Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort & Spa from July 16th-18th. The Revolution & Paradigm Shift in Treatment of Migraine at the Walt Disney World Swan and Dolphin Resort from July 16th-17th. Dermatology for Primary Care at Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort & Spa from July 31st-August 2nd. That does not mean these hotels are suddenly off-limits or impossible to enjoy. But it does mean you may want to book dining earlier, expect more traffic around convention areas, and avoid assuming every lobby seat will be empty just because it’s not a park entrance. Convention Center Coronado Springs, in particular, is built to handle conventions, but that also means it regularly has convention traffic. If you’re staying there in July, don’t be shocked if you see badges, business casual, and people doing networking small talk while you’re just trying to find coffee before rope drop. Don’t Make These Mistakes When Attending a Convention in Disney World What You Should Do Before Your July Trip If you’re staying at a Disney World hotel in July, there are a few easy things you can do now. Check your resort’s official page before you go. Disney updates refurbishment notices, and dates can shift. Make dining reservations early, especially if you’re staying at Grand Floridian, Yacht Club, Contemporary, or Coronado during known conference dates. Ask politely about room location at check-in if you are worried about construction. Again, nothing is guaranteed, but Cast Members may be able to help if availability allows. Think about packing a white noise machine, just in case you have little ones who need naps when construction is happening. Build in extra travel time if you’re staying somewhere with active entrance, pathway, or paving work. The Contemporary And most importantly, do not assume construction means your trip is ruined. Disney hotel refurbishments are annoying, yes, but they’re also how we eventually get better rooms, refreshed lobbies, improved restaurants, and fewer spaces that look like they’ve been quietly begging for help since 2009. New Rooms Are Coming to Disney’s Art of Animation Resort! The July Hotel Playbook July is already one of the busiest, hottest, and sweatiest months to visit Disney World. Add hotel refurbishments, restaurant closures, convention crowds, and temporary construction routes, and you’ve got a vacation that rewards the prepared. Yacht Club The big takeaway? Know what’s happening at your hotel before you arrive. A little planning can save you from surprise scaffolding, restaurant heartbreak, or the unpleasant discovery that your peaceful resort morning now comes with a construction soundtrack. Lots of walls up We’ll keep watching Disney World hotel updates closely, so stay tuned for more closures, refurbishments, reopenings, and all the tiny planning details that can make or break a trip. When it comes to dining at the Mexico Pavilion in EPCOT, you’ve got a TON of options. Want something quick and easy? You’ve got it. Something middle-of-the-road and comforting? Yep, that too. And if you’re looking for something upscale and luxurious that’s also in a ride, you can find that, too! La Hacienda de San Angel We recently stopped by La Hacienda de San Angel at EPCOT to see what was cookin’, and now we’re bringing you our FULL review. Is it worth a stop on your next trip to the Mexico Pavilion? Find out here! Atmosphere La Hacienda de San Angel features soaring ceilings, heavy furniture, and warm-colored tile floors, which give a homey feeling to the spot, which totally makes sense. This is La Hacienda, after all. You’re dining in a Mexican home-turned-restaurant! It’s so cozy! Seating includes booths and tables with chairs. We suggest requesting a seat by the window to see a stunning view of the World Showcase Lagoon. But enough about the restaurant — what’s on the menu here?! Menu To start, their drinks menu includes Mexican staples like Margaritas, tequila, and mezcal. The drinks Their entrees and appetizers are classic Mexican-American dishes. Think tacos, tortillas, and enchiladas. The eats! And for dessert, they offer Mexican sweets like Tres Leches cake, ice cream, and churros. The dessert menu And now, onto the main event — the food! Eats To start, we grabbed the Flautas for $16. These are fried tortillas filled with pork carnitas and potato, topped with romaine, crema Mexicana, and salsa ranchera. Flautas These corn tortillas are super thick and stuffed with chicken. The chicken is seasoned with a ton of spice, but the crema and salsa balance it out with the acid. It’s super filling and hearty with all of the veggies! Flautas Then, we tried the Beef Brisket Tacos for $38. This features hardwood-smoked beef brisket in flour tortillas, tomatillo slaw, and salsa verde. It’s served with a side of rice. Beef Brisket Tacos This brisket has a strong smoky flavor, and the texture is super tender, melting in your mouth. The salsa verde on its own is pretty spicy, but the tomatillo slaw adds some freshness to balance it out. The rice on the side was cilantro-flavored, which helped balance the spiciness too. Beef Brisket Tacos Next up was a side of Esquites for $7. Disney doesn’t list a menu description, but this is a popular Mexican street food featuring corn kernels served in a cup, usually mixed with mayonnaise, lime juice, chili powder, cilantro, onion, or jalapeño. Think elote, but off the cob! Esquites The corn is tender and slightly sweet, and it’s absolutely soaked in a spicy sauce. There’s a creamy sauce that slightly cuts the spiciness, and a salty cheese that adds some depth to the flavors. Esquites And for dessert, we got the Pan de Elotes Tres Leches for $12. This is a rice milk-soaked Mexican corn bread topped with sweetcorn gelato and toasted almonds. Pan de Elotes Tres Leches The cornbread is soft and tender, and absolutely soaked in a sweet, creamy rice milk that’s infused with cinnamon. The almonds on top add a great crunch to break up the soft texture. The sweetcorn gelato on top has a strong, sweet corn flavor that brightens up the dish. Pan de Elotes Tres Leches Nosh or Not This Disney World restaurant is a must-visit if… You’re looking for authentic Mexican eats. Specializing in fresh Mexican cuisine, you can expect authentic Mexican flavors straight from the market, including skillets, tacos, fresh corn tortillas, and a variety of margaritas. You won’t be disappointed with the selection here! You want a view of World Showcase Lagoon along the water. La Hacienda de San Angel features an indoor, air-conditioned dining space that still offers guests an excellent view of the World Showcase Lagoon (and the evening fireworks!) thanks to floor-to-ceiling windows. You’re looking for something familiar while you’re at EPCOT. Though the menu is a bit more upscale than what you might find at your local casual Mexican joint, the flavors and many of the foods here will likely be familiar to what you’re used to. You should skip this Disney World spot if… You aren’t in the mood for Mexican food, or don’t like it. While there are some non-Mexican food options on the kids’ menu, all of the entrées are traditional eats like tacos al pastor, enchiladas, and more. If anyone in your group isn’t a fan of Mexican food, consider dining elsewhere at EPCOT. You’re looking for breakfast or lunch. La Hacienda de San Angel is only open for dinner, so you’ll have to find somewhere else to eat for breakfast or lunch! Consider San Angel Inn or La Cantina de San Angel (are you noticing a theme here?)! You want something on the lighter side. A majority of the dishes here are hearty and cheesy, so you’re better off choosing a different restaurant if you don’t want such a heavy meal while you’re walking around the park. Overall We love La Hacienda de San Angel, and our meal didn’t disappoint. Everything was super hearty and filling with large portion sizes. Plus, everything is super tasty and offers great Mexican food at a reasonable price…as far as Disney prices go. La Hacienda de San Angel In the meantime, we’ll be on the lookout for more restaurant updates from Disney World and beyond. Disney4me posted a topic in Disney Food/Restaurants
Not all Disney cruises are equal… ©Disney In typical Disney fashion, the Disney Cruise Line offers all sorts of theming — including tailored experiences that celebrate the holidays and Disney IP. Throughout the year, prospective sailors have several opportunities to enjoy these events, but picking which one is right for you and your family is tricky. Luckily, we’re here to help! The Disney Cruise Line offers Special Days at Sea and Holiday Cruises that feature day-long celebrations that involve delightfully spooky festivities, the opportunity to meet Santa, hang out with your favorite Marvel heroes, or party with the Pixar pals! Let’s take a closer look at these events! Some big changes have happened at Universal Studios Hollywood! Universal Studios Hollywood New security measures have just gone into effect at Universal Studios Hollywood, and it’s changing how guests access both CityWalk and the theme park. Let’s take a look at what to expect! According to KTLA 5, there is a new security setup at Universal Hollywood that includes three hubs. Those are “the main entry plaza, a checkpoint adjacent to the Jurassic Parking structure near NBC Sports Grill & Brew and the new Mr. BBQ restaurant, and another near Margaritaville in the former iFly location.” Jurassic Parking Garage “As the Universal Studios Hollywood destination continues to evolve, we are aligning our security protocols with other Universal destinations across the country by adding metal detection hubs adjacent to the parking structures,” said a Universal Studios Hollywood spokesperson in an emailed statement to KTLA. Security Previously, guests walked through CityWalk before encountering security to enter Universal Studios Hollywood. Now, the goal for the new system is to place CityWalk inside a secured perimeter. It’s said to be similar to the setup at the Disneyland Resort. There, guests pass through security before accessing Downtown Disney, Disneyland, and Disney California Adventure. Downtown Disney Universal CityWalk will likely see more and more visitors due to major events like the ongoing FIFA World Cup and 2028 Summer Olympics. CityWalk at Universal Studios Hollywood! In the nearly 20 years since Iron Man debuted in theaters, the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU) has expanded exponentially. This interrelated series of films, Disney+ series, and shorts creates a timeline that nearly rivals the comic book source material that inspired it, which can be daunting for those trying to watch (or rewatch) the MCU. ©Sony However, that’s where we come in, true believers. We’ve assembled a list of every current (as of June 2026) MCU, in chronological order! (AKA, the order in which they take place, not the order in which they were released). A few notes before we begin: First, this is only counting official MCU projects. So no Fox X-Men or Sony Spider-Man films, even though those have been folded into the overall Marvel Cinematic Multiverse. Ditto for Agents of SHEILD, the canonicity of which has been debated. Secondly, this is an overall framework for the majority of these works, even though there may be some anachronisms, such as a post-credits scene that takes place in a different time period or projects that overlap with each other. ©CinemaBlend | Marvel Eyes of Wakanda: This 2025 Disney+ series spinning out of the world of the Black Panther film follows the Hatut Zaraze, a group of Wakandan warriors who retrieve vibranium artifacts throughout history. Universal Kids Resort officially opens to the public on July 1st, but y’all…we got to see what the theme park is all about early! Universal Kids Resort Universal Kids Resort is a different kind of theme park for Universal, aimed mostly towards young ones and their families, although if you’re young at heart, you might still have a great time there. Of course, the most important thing we have to think about is FOOD, so we tried out some of the dining options and snacks in the park. Universal Kids Resort has a total of seven themed lands, with many of those lands having restaurants and snack spots with food, drinks, and treats. Over in Jurassic World Adventure Camp, you can grab food at the Jurassic World Canteen. When we stopped by, they weren’t serving food, so we skipped it this time around. But you can find items like dino nuggets on mashed potatoes that look like a volcano — and what could be better than that?! Jurassic World Canteen Over in SpongeBob SquarePants Bikini Bottom, we headed to Goofy Goober’s, where you can get sandwiches, salads, hot dogs, and “sky-high sundaes.” Goofy Goober’s There, we grabbed the Triple Gooberberry Sunrise. It’s $19.99 and comes with a souvenir cup! While the souvenir cup is huge, the actual ice cream is pretty small. We loved the ice cream, but boy, did it melt fast in the heat. We think this is going to be a kids’ favorite, but adults are definitely going to want to steal the cup. Triple Gooberberry Surprise We then took our ogre-sized appetite to Shrek’s Swamp to visit Swamp Snacks. You can grab the Shrekzel here as well — just like the one at Universal Orlando! The only difference is that this Shrekzel comes with regular yellow cheese instead of the green cheese at the Orlando location. This is your basic pretzel served with cheese sauce. Shrekzel It’s time to snack like Minions at Minions vs. Minions: Bello Bay Club. Bello Bay Bites is offering up some Minion-themed treats. Bello Bay Bites We got the Mac & Cheese Cone for $14.99. This reminded us a lot of the cones from the Isle of Berk in Epic Universe, but a tamer version. Not only did it feature the cones from Isle of Berk, but it also featured a minion tater tot from Minions Cafe, another one of our favorites. If you’re looking for a quick and easy lunch, you can enjoy this Kraft mac and cheese that was so fresh and filling. Mac & Cheese Cone Puss in Boots Del Mar features Comidas y Leche, which has “Puss in Boots’ approved eats.” We had to try Big Jack Horner’s Wrap, which is made with seasoned ground beef, refried beans, Tostitos nacho cheese sauce, corn tostada, tomatoes, and lettuce wrapped in a flour tortilla. It’s like a Crunchwrap Supreme from Taco Bell, served with crispy tots. This was $12.99. Big Jack Horner’s Wrap This feels fresh and homemade, and we truly enjoyed every beat. We did feel like the tater tots weren’t really necessary, but it does make it a fuller meal. We liked the cheese sauce in the wrap, but it did make it a little bit soggy. Like a crunchwrap! We also picked up the Churritos and Chocolate for $6.99. These are mini fried churro bites served with chocolate sauce. These were your pretty typical theme park churros. They weren’t the best we’ve ever had in our lives, but they hit the spot when you need a sweet treat. Churritos and Chocolate And finally, we grabbed the Puss in Bootsicle for $7.99. This is Fanta Orange soda with vanilla cream syrup, topped with sweet cream cold foam and orange sprinkles. Woah, was this sweet! We highly recommend getting one for the table and sharing it, but it did really taste like a creamiscle with the very tart Fanta flavor. Puss in Bootsicle We’ll be exploring more of Universal Kids Resort and getting you all the details, so stay tuned to DFB for more. It’s official! We’re at Universal Kids Resort ahead of its opening to check out everything Universal’s new Texas theme park has to offer. Universal Kids Resort Universal Kids Resort is located in Frisco, Texas, and features a total of seven themed lands, with the park aimed at younger children and their families. The new resort also features a fun kids-themed hotel, and it’s all scheduled to open to the public on July 1st. We’re bringing you along, though, on our sneak peek of the new theme park, including a closer look at one of its lands, Isle of Curiosity. Isle of Curiosity is the main gateway of the park that leads to all the other themed lands. It’s basically like Celestial Park in Epic Universe at Universal Orlando. However, it’s not just a gateway; it’s also a themed land in and of itself. And to think we are among the first to visit it! Isle of Curiosity Isle of Curiosity is designed for play, giving kids the chance to freely roam around and hang out with characters. The main attraction of the land is Gabby from Gabby’s Dollhouse‘s meet and greet, but she had to pop back into her dollhouse when we stopped by. This is where Gabby meets! However, more importantly, this land features plenty of shade and benches for those times when you just need a break or for parents to rest while their kids enjoy that playtime. Tons of seating! The biggest thing happening in Isle of Curiosity is Gabby’s Cat-Tastic Dance Party! where kids and their families can boogie on down with Gabby from Gabby’s Dollhouse. It’s a chance to burn off some energy and meet what may be some of the park’s most popular characters. There weren’t any showings when we went, but we’ll definitely come back! Gabby’s cats are all around the land! For those with a sweet tooth, you’ll have to stop by Cakey’s Cupcakes, where you can grab cupcakes in chocolate, vanilla, and rainbow. We’re all about some cupcakes, so we HAD to stop by. Also, kids love cupcakes, so we can imagine this will be a popular snack spot. Cakey’s Cupcakes If you’re looking for something a little more substantial, you can pop into Universal Kids Resort Café, which is a vibrant and colorful dining spot where you can get out of the sun, sit down, and have a leisurely meal. Universal Kids Resort Cafe If you’re looking to grab souvenirs to remember your day at Universal Kids Resort, you’ll want to visit the Universal Kids Resort Store located in Isle of Curiosity. This is the flagship store, so you’re sure to find pretty much any kind of souvenir you’re looking for, including souvenirs representing all the lands in the park. Universal Kids Resort Store However, you’ll also find a ton of merchandise inspired by Gabby’s Dollhouse, and if you’ve got fans of that show with you, they’ll certainly want to grab a few items. We brought this MerCat Slap Bracelet home with us! Gabby’s Dollhouse Slap Bracelet We’ll be giving you a FULL rundown of Universal Kids Resort, so stay tuned to DFB for more. The park is home to numerous new lands, all with exciting attractions, rides, restaurants, and more, and we’re getting a chance to explore them all EARLY before the park’s official opening on July 1st! We’ve been taking you around with us all day, and now, it’s time to check out one of the lands that we’ve been most looking forward to — Minions vs. Minions: Bello Bay Club. There are two main attractions to experience in this land. If you’re looking for a water ride, you’ll want to head to Bello Bay Cruise, which is literally a raft ride, so be prepared to get wet. Bello Bay Cruise Here, the Yellow and Purple Minions are facing off, creating water-soaked chaos. As you ride along, you’ll see who is winning, but be prepared to get in the middle! You will get wet! The other ride is Bello Bay Golf Cart Derby, which is where the Purple Minions have turned a relaxing round of golf completely upside down, so be sure to hold on tight — things are about to get wild! Bello Bay Golf Cart Derby You’ll also get the chance to meet some of your favorite Minions inside the land! Character appearances are subject to change throughout the day, as well as through the week, but if all is functioning as normal, you’ll get to meet some of your favorite chaotic Minions. EPCOT is full of little surprises, but one of the strangest planning quirks involves the Mexico Pavilion. Most guests don’t discover this rule until they’ve already made the mistake. Mexico Pavilion You arrive at the Mexico Pavilion, see the iconic pyramid rising above World Showcase, notice Donald Duck greeting guests nearby, and figure you’ll leave your stroller close by while you pop inside for a few minutes. It seems like a perfectly reasonable plan. Unfortunately, it’s also one of the easiest ways to create an unexpected headache during your EPCOT day. The Mexico Pavilion has a unique stroller parking situation that catches a lot of families off guard, especially first-time visitors who assume stroller parking works the same way it does everywhere else around the park. You Can’t Park Your Stroller at the Mexico Pavilion The key rule is simple: you generally should not park your stroller in front of the Mexico Pavilion. Even if you’re meeting Donald Duck. Even if you’re riding Gran Fiesta Tour. Even if you’re grabbing a quick snack. Even if other strollers appear to be parked there. He’s #1 The area directly in front of the pavilion may look like a convenient place to leave a stroller, but Cast Members often need to keep that space clear. If strollers are left in non-designated locations, Cast Members may ask guests to move them or relocate unattended strollers to the appropriate stroller parking area. Mexico That means when you return from your attraction, meal, or character meet-and-greet, your stroller may not be sitting exactly where you left it. Nothing ruins a relaxing boat ride quite like emerging from the pavilion and immediately beginning a search mission for your stroller. 4 NEW Rules Disney World Is Enforcing in 2026 Your Stroller Goes to Norway Here’s the part that surprises many guests. The designated stroller parking area for the Mexico Pavilion is typically located near Norway. Not Mexico. Norway. Norway Pavilion For guests unfamiliar with World Showcase, that can sound completely backwards. Why would stroller parking for one pavilion be located near another country entirely? The answer comes down to crowd management and available space. While the walk isn’t particularly long, it’s far enough away that you’ll want to know about it before arriving. Families who don’t realize this often end up making an extra trip after they’ve already reached Mexico. Norway If you’re planning to spend time in the pavilion, it’s usually easiest to park the stroller in the designated area near Norway first and then walk back to Mexico. Knowing this ahead of time turns an annoying surprise into a simple part of your touring plan. 4 Cast Member-Approved Items That Follow Disney World’s Stroller Rules Why This Rule Exists At first glance, the rule can feel random. Once you spend a few minutes in front of the Mexico Pavilion, though, it starts to make more sense. The area is one of the busiest spots in World Showcase. Mexico Pavilion Guests are entering and exiting the pyramid throughout the day. Others are stopping for photos in front of the pavilion. Donald Duck’s meet-and-greet attracts a steady stream of families. Visitors are heading inside for shopping, dining, and Gran Fiesta Tour. Lots of crowds During festivals, the crowds can become even heavier. Adding rows of parked strollers to that already busy space can create significant congestion. Walkways become narrower, traffic slows down, and navigating the area becomes more difficult for everyone. Keeping the front of the pavilion clear helps Disney maintain smoother pedestrian flow while also improving accessibility and safety. Mexico It’s one of those operational rules that may seem inconvenient for individual guests but makes a lot more sense when thousands of people are moving through the same area every day. These Maps Show You Secret Paths to Avoid the Worst Disney World Crowds Plan Ahead for Donald Duck Donald Duck is one of the biggest reasons families get caught by this rule. His Mexico Pavilion meet-and-greet is incredibly popular, and it’s easy to understand why. The location is charming, the backdrop is fantastic for photos, and Donald’s Mexico-themed outfit is a favorite among Disney fans. Many families approach the area, see the line, and immediately jump in without thinking about stroller parking. Donald Duck That’s when problems start. Before joining the queue, take a moment to make sure your stroller is parked in the proper location. It may feel like an extra step, but it’s much easier to handle stroller parking before entering the line than after you’ve finished your character interaction and discovered your stroller has been relocated. If you’re unsure where strollers should be parked that day, ask a nearby Cast Member. They can point you toward the correct location and help you avoid any confusion. Where to Find All the Disney Character Meet-and-Greets in Walt Disney World Gran Fiesta Tour Has the Same Issue The same planning advice applies to Gran Fiesta Tour Starring The Three Caballeros. This attraction is one of EPCOT’s hidden gems. It’s indoors, air-conditioned, family-friendly, and usually provides a welcome break from the Florida heat. Gran Fiesta Tour Naturally, that makes it especially appealing to families with young children. Because the attraction entrance is located inside the pyramid, many guests assume they can leave their stroller nearby while they ride. Gran Fiesta Tour: The Three Caballeros Instead, it’s best to park the stroller in the designated area first and then head into the pavilion. The extra few minutes of planning can save considerably more time later. Bring Only What You Need Whenever you’re leaving a stroller behind at Disney World, it’s smart to take important items with you. This advice applies everywhere, but it’s especially useful in situations where strollers may be moved by Cast Members. Phones, wallets, keys, medications, cameras, and other valuables should stay with you rather than remaining in the stroller. Strollers in Disney World Many experienced Disney visitors treat strollers as temporary storage for jackets, rain gear, snacks, and other non-essential items while keeping anything important in a backpack or crossbody bag. That way, even if the stroller gets relocated, you still have everything you absolutely need. Best Travel Strollers for Disney World Make Your Stroller Easy to Find Disney stroller parking areas can quickly become a sea of nearly identical strollers. Black stroller. Gray stroller. Another black stroller. Yet another gray stroller. After a few hours in the Florida sun, they can all start looking exactly the same. Stroller parking That’s why many experienced Disney families add some kind of identifying marker. A colorful ribbon tied to the handle can help. So can a luggage tag, stroller sign, bright accessory, or other easy-to-recognize decoration. Sea of strollers The goal isn’t to turn your stroller into a parade float. You simply want something that helps it stand out from dozens of similar models parked nearby. Taking a quick photo before walking away can also be surprisingly helpful. If your stroller gets moved, you’ll have a recent image showing exactly what you’re looking for. Don’t Assume the Crowd Is Right One common mistake is assuming that a cluster of parked strollers automatically means you’re looking at an approved stroller parking area. That’s not always true. Sometimes guests simply follow the first stroller they see and create an unofficial parking zone that was never intended for stroller storage. Just because several strollers are sitting somewhere doesn’t necessarily mean they’re supposed to be there. You can always buy a stroller in Florida! If you’re unsure where to leave your stroller, ask a nearby Cast Member. Disney frequently adjusts operational procedures based on crowd levels, festivals, construction projects, entertainment offerings, and other factors. A location that worked during one visit may not be the preferred location during another. A quick question can prevent a lot of unnecessary frustration later. Strollers in Magic Kingdom Another important thing to keep in mind is that Disney operations are always evolving. Special events, seasonal festivals, construction projects, and crowd-control measures can occasionally affect stroller parking locations. While stroller parking for the Mexico Pavilion is typically located near Norway, guests should always follow current Cast Member instructions during their visit. Think of the Norway location as the general rule rather than a permanent guarantee. If Disney needs to adjust operations on a particular day, Cast Members will direct guests accordingly. The Best Plan The easiest strategy is simple. If you’re heading to the Mexico Pavilion with a stroller, plan ahead before you arrive. Park your stroller in the designated area near Norway before visiting Donald Duck, Gran Fiesta Tour, San Angel Inn Restaurante, La Cava del Tequila, or the pavilion shops. Bring any valuables and essentials with you. Make sure your stroller has an identifying marker. And if anything looks different from what you expected, ask a Cast Member for current instructions. La Hacienda de San Ángel Those few extra minutes of preparation can save a surprising amount of time and confusion later. Save Yourself the Stroller Scavenger Hunt This isn’t one of Disney World’s biggest rules. It’s not something that will make or break your vacation. But it is exactly the kind of small planning detail that can save you time, frustration, and unnecessary walking during a busy EPCOT day. Guests who know about the Mexico Pavilion stroller situation ahead of time can adjust their plans accordingly and avoid the confusion that catches so many families by surprise. Strollers The takeaway is simple: don’t park your stroller in front of the Mexico Pavilion. Use the designated stroller parking area near Norway, keep valuables with you, make your stroller easy to identify, and follow any instructions provided by Cast Members. When we’re at Hollywood Studios, there’s nothing we love more than ending our day with Fantasmic!. This 30-minute-long show features fireworks, lasers, projections, and, of course, Sorcerer Mickey himself! Fantasmic! Our biggest Fantasmic! hack is to grab a dining package. You’ll get a guaranteed spot front and center without having to wait in line, which is a game-changer on crowded nights. But we have some bad news – Disney just increased the price of Fantasmic! Dining Packages! The Fantasmic! Dining Package offers a meal at a participating restaurant in Disney’s Hollywood Studios and reserved seating for a showing of the popular Fantasmic! nighttime spectacular. You can choose between four popular restaurants in the park, but we love choosing the character meal at Hollywood & Vine to spend even more time with Mickey! Mickey at Hollywood & Vine Hollywood and Vine is both a Character Meal and a Buffet, and the dining package includes a non-alcoholic or alcoholic beverage for guests 21 and older. Minnie’s Seasonal Dine for breakfast, lunch, and dinner features Minnie, Mickey, Goofy, and Pluto in a meal themed for the current season. But the prices just got higher! Hollywood & Vine buffet Before, the Fantasmic! Dining Package at Hollywood & Vine costs $81 for adults and $51 for kids. But now, the same package costs $82 for adults and $53 for kids. While a $2 price increase doesn’t seem like much, this price excludes tax and gratuity, so it can add up fast for large groups! If you want a character meal at Hollywood Studios for less, a regular meal there hasn’t changed in price. Minnie at Hollywood & Vine If you want a Fantasmic! Dining Package at a different restaurant, the prices have stayed the same at the other three locations. Sci-Fi Dine In Theater Restaurant is a table-service restaurant that includes an entrée, dessert, and a non-alcoholic or alcoholic beverage for guests 21 and older, priced at $59 for adults and $23 for kids. 50’s Prime Time Cafe is another table-service restaurant that includes an entrée, dessert, and a non-alcoholic or alcoholic beverage for guests 21 and older, priced at $60 for adults and $23 for kids. The Hollywood Brown Derby is a signature table-service restaurant, and the package includes an entrée, dessert, and a non-alcoholic or alcoholic beverage for guests 21 and older, priced at $83 for adults and $31 for kids. Full spread at Hollywood Brown Derby We’ll be sure to keep you updated on more price increases across Disney World. Stay tuned to Disney Food Blog for more Disney World news! When Disneyland announced that Autopia would be switching to electric vehicles, we were beyond thrilled. No horrific gas smell? No screaming, loud noises? Sign us up! Autopia in Disneyland Beyond guest enjoyment, part of the reason Disneyland is making these changes is because of a settlement agreement with the state agency that regulates air pollution in California. These changes have to happen before February 2027…but what if they don’t? Disneyland is planning on updating Autopia with fully electric vehicles and retiring the gas engines that have powered the ride since its 1955 debut, and according to the Orange County Register, Disneyland has reached an agreement with the Air Resources Board to retire the engines by early 2027. Autopia ticket Disneyland officials say they are working on the design, engineering, and testing of the new Autopia vehicle prototype. In 2024, Disneyland paid a $56,000 settlement to the California Air Resources Board after disclosing that the Honda engines on Autopa ride vehicles were operating without certified emission controls. The fine was a result of an administrative oversight and was promptly corrected with no impact on the environment. Autopia Car No closing or reopening dates have been set for the attraction yet, despite Disneyland originally announcing the plan in 2024 to convert the vehicles by fall 2026. One of the last major refurbishments for Autopia happened in 2016 when Honda became the sponsor after Chevron. The 10-year contract with Honda to sponsor the attraction ends in 2026. Disneyland Tomorrowland With the deadline approaching, what happens if they don’t make the changes? More likely or not, the attraction will have to shut down until the changes can be made. Disneyland has not made any announcements and has only talked about changing the vehicles, not closing down the entire attraction. Disneyland Disneyland Resort has made a sustainability commitment to reach net zero emissions by 2030 by increasingly relying on cleaner renewable energy sources.
