The Disney Dining Plan isn’t a shortcut to cheaper meals. It won’t automatically lower your food costs or turn every purchase into a great deal. Full spread at Akershus What it does offer is a structured way to prepay for meals, with a fixed number of credits to use throughout your trip. If you use those credits strategically, you can come out ahead on value. If you don’t, it’s easy to spend them on lower-cost meals and miss the point of the plan entirely. For 2026, the standard Disney Dining Plan costs $98.59 per adult and $31.94 per child, per night. That includes: 1 Quick-Service meal, 1 Table-Service meal, 1 snack or nonalcoholic drink, and a refillable resort mug per night. The Quick-Service Dining Plan costs $60.47 per adult and $25.82 per child, per night. That includes: 2 Quick-Service meals, 1 snack or nonalcoholic drink, and a refillable resort mug per night. There is also a Deluxe Dining Plan options that costs $163.01 per adult and $46.85 per child, per night. That includes: 1 Quick-Service meal, 2 Table-Service meals, 1 snack or nonalcoholic drink, and a refillable resort mug per night. So how do you make the Dining Plan actually feel worth it? You use credits where Disney prices are on the scary side. Free dining! For Quick Service, that means ordering a higher-priced entrée and making use of the included beverage, especially if you are eligible and planning to order a specialty or alcoholic drink. For Table Service, that often means buffets, family-style meals, all-you-care-to-enjoy skillets, and restaurants where a pricier entrée, dessert, and beverage can all work together like a tiny edible accounting department. Let’s get into the meals that can make those credits work hard. Don’t Worry. This Free Disney Dining Plan Hack Feels Illegal, but It Isn’t! First, Let’s Do the Math Before we start tossing credits around like confetti at Mickey’s Magical Friendship Faire, let’s set the stage. A Quick-Service meal credit generally includes an entrée and a beverage. That beverage can be a nonalcoholic specialty drink or, for guests 21 and older, an eligible alcoholic beverage. Our meal A $15 entrée and a fountain drink? Fine. Pleasant. Harmless. An $18 or $19 entrée with a $15 or $16 cocktail? Now the Dining Plan starts making a bit more sense. For Table Service credits, the best values usually come from meals where pricing is fixed, or where you can order a higher-priced entrée, dessert, and eligible beverage. Buffets and family-style meals are especially useful because you are not trying to squeeze value from one sad little plate of pasta that looked bigger in the menu photo. Biergarten Buffet Also, remember that gratuity is not included in most cases. That part still comes out of your pocket, so make sure to set aside a little extra in your budget for this! Seven Mistakes to Avoid When it Comes to Planning Your Disney Dining Docking Bay 7 Food and Cargo Hollywood Studios has plenty of places to spend money quickly. Some of them are thrilling. Some of them involve you paying theme park prices for something that tastes like it gave up in the third act. Docking Bay 7 Food and Cargo in Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge is one of the better Quick-Service plays on the Dining Plan because the entrée prices are already working in your favor. The Shaak Roast, a beef pot roast dish with cavatelli pasta, kale, mushrooms, and herb gravy, is often one of the strongest values here. Other heartier plates, like the ribs and chicken options, also tend to land higher than your average burger-and-fries situation. Full Spread! Then add a specialty drink or an eligible alcoholic beverage, and your Quick-Service credit suddenly earns its keep. This is exactly the kind of place where the Dining Plan makes more sense than it does at a spot where you order a basic sandwich and a soda, then wonder why the math feels like it was written by a confused Jawa. REVIEW: We Gave Docking Bay 7 The Chance It DESERVES! See What Happened. Flame Tree Barbecue Flame Tree Barbecue in Animal Kingdom is a Dining Plan value veteran for a reason. This is where you go when you want a Quick-Service meal that actually behaves like a meal. Not a snack that’s been mislabeled. Not “I’ll eat again in 37 minutes” food. Real food. Flame Tree Barbecue The Ribs, Chicken, and Pulled Pork Sampler is the big move here. It usually costs more than many standard Quick-Service entrées, and it comes with enough protein to make your afternoon safari plans feel slightly more ambitious. Pair that with an eligible alcoholic or specialty beverage, and you can get strong value from one Quick-Service credit. Ribs and Chicken Combo And yes, while you’re in Animal Kingdom, I am legally, emotionally, and spiritually obligated to remind you that the Key Lime Pie Pop exists at Flame Tree Barbecue. It is tart, creamy, chocolate-dipped perfection on a stick, which is really the kind of marvel of snack engineering and flavors. Key Lime Pie Pop That would be a snack credit situation, not your meal credit, but it is still relevant because I will not be silenced about the Key Lime Pop. REVIEW: Only Real Disney Fans Know the Glory of Flame Tree Barbecue (and Why You MUST Try the New Snacks Here!) Regal Eagle Smokehouse Regal Eagle Smokehouse in EPCOT is another Quick-Service location where the Dining Plan can pull its weight. The American Platter is usually one of the better plays because it gives you a hearty barbecue combo instead of making you choose one lonely meat and live with your choices. You can also find solid value in items like the burger, chicken, or other barbecue entrées, depending on what is currently on the menu. Regal Eagle Smokehouse But the real Dining Plan boost comes from the beverage side. EPCOT is not shy about beverage pricing. That is not criticism. That is just the reality of World Showcase. If you pair a higher-priced entrée at Regal Eagle with an eligible beer, cider, cocktail, or specialty drink, your Quick-Service credit can turn into one of the better values of the day. The 1776 Bonus points for being in the same pavilion as Sam Eagle, a Muppet who deserves more representation, more screen time, and frankly, a permanent advisory role in all theme park decision-making. If You Like Polite Pig, You Might Also Like Regal Eagle Smokehouse in Disney World Why Quick Service Gets Sneaky Good We do not need to tour every Quick-Service restaurant in Disney World with a calculator and a protein craving. The basic rule is simple. The best Quick-Service Dining Plan values tend to come from places with combo platters, higher-priced entrées, and specialty beverage options. Regal Eagle Platter You are generally looking for barbecue platters, steak or beef dishes, ribs, seafood, loaded bowls, and specialty drinks. You are generally avoiding the places where your “meal” is a basic hot dog and a fountain soda unless convenience is the whole point. Polite Pig Butcher Board for Two Convenience is allowed, by the way. Sometimes the best meal is the one closest to your melting family. But if we are talking value, combo meals are where the Dining Plan starts humming. Only 5 of Disney World’s Top 20 Restaurants Are in EPCOT…So Where Are the Rest? Character Buffet Dinners Character meals are some of the easiest Table Service credits to justify because usually the pricing is fixed. More often than not, the food is all-you-care-to-enjoy, and the characters come to you while you sit in air-conditioning like a civilized little vacation survivor. Chef Mickey! Some of the strongest character buffet and family-style values include 1900 Park Fare dinner at Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort, Chef Mickey’s dinner at Disney’s Contemporary Resort, The Crystal Palace lunch or dinner in Magic Kingdom, Tusker House lunch or dinner in Animal Kingdom, and Garden Grill lunch or dinner in EPCOT. These meals often land in the $60-plus adult range before you even factor in the included beverage on the Dining Plan. That means one Table Service credit can cover a meal that gets pretty close to the daily value you need from the standard plan. Garden Grill feast They are especially helpful for families who were already planning to book character dining. If you were going to do Chef Mickey’s anyway, the Dining Plan may not be a discount machine, but it can help turn an expensive meal into a prepaid one that feels less like a direct hit to the wallet in the moment. REVIEW: This Disney World Restaurant Is Loud, Chaotic, and Overpriced — But It Could Be Your Favorite Meal ’Ohana Dinner ’Ohana dinner at Disney’s Polynesian Village Resort is one of the classic all-you-care-to-enjoy Dining Plan value plays. This meal is not subtle. It is noodles, wings, pot stickers, grilled meats, shrimp, vegetables, bread pudding, and the strong possibility that you will leave the restaurant moving at the speed of a sleepy parade float. The ‘Ohana dinner skillet! At $67 per adult, this is one of the best one-credit Table Service values if it is included in your Dining Plan during your travel dates. The important phrase there is “if it is included.” Disney Dining Plan participation can change, and some restaurants have specific rules. Always check the app or Disney’s website before you start building your entire vacation around noodles. ‘Ohana Bread Pudding! This is exactly what the Dining Plan likes: fixed-price, hearty, popular, expensive, and meal-like in the grandest sense of the word. REVIEW: Why You Should Skip Disney World’s Ohana and Eat HERE Instead Boma Boma at Disney’s Animal Kingdom Lodge is another excellent buffet option, especially for people who want their Dining Plan value to come with actual flavor. This is not just “here is a tray of beige things, please form a line.” Boma has African-inspired soups, meats, salads, stews, dips, breads, desserts, and enough interesting dishes to make your plate look like it has a passport. Boma Buffet Dinner is typically less expensive than some of the big character buffets, but it is still a strong Table Service credit because it is a buffet with variety, quality, and enough food to make the credit feel well spent. Dinner at Boma It is also a good pick for adults who want a big meal without paying character dining prices. And because it is located at Animal Kingdom Lodge, you get a resort visit that actually feels like part of the experience. This is not just dinner. This is dinner with beautiful architecture, warm lighting, and maybe a giraffe somewhere nearby, lingering near a viewing deck. Boma vs. Sanaa vs. Jiko: Comparing Animal Kingdom Lodge Restaurants The $49 Club There is a very useful Dining Plan tier hiding just below the giant character buffet prices. Let’s call it the $49 Club. Our selections from the Biergarten Buffet (pre-SECONDS This includes restaurants like Cape May Cafe dinner at Disney’s Beach Club Resort, Biergarten Restaurant dinner in EPCOT, and Roundup Rodeo BBQ in Hollywood Studios. These meals tend to hover around the $49 adult range, which may not seem like a Dining Plan jackpot at first. But here is why you should consider them. Full spread They are fixed-price or all-you-care-to-enjoy meals, which means you are not gambling your Table Service credit on whether you feel like ordering the expensive entrée that night. You know what the meal costs. You know the food keeps coming. You know your credit is being used on something substantial. Roundup Rodeo BBQ Cape May Cafe can be a good pick for seafood fans. Biergarten is a buffet with entertainment, which gives your credit a little extra oomph. Roundup Rodeo BBQ is family-style and very filling, with a theme that is pure Toy Story chaos in the best way. Dinner and a show! Are these the highest possible values on the Dining Plan? No. Are they reliable, sturdy, “yes, this credit made sense” choices? Absolutely. REVIEW: It’s EPCOT’s Liveliest Restaurant, But Is There Anything Not to Love About Biergarten? Whispering Canyon Cafe Whispering Canyon Cafe at Disney’s Wilderness Lodge deserves a seat at this table, partly because the skillets can be a smart Dining Plan use and partly because Wilderness Lodge is perfect, and I will be taking no further questions at this time. Whispering Canyon Cafe The all-you-care-to-enjoy skillets are the move here. Dinner skillets are typically around $45 per person, and the restaurant has eligible drinks that can improve the value of a Table Service credit. This is a particularly good option for people who want a big, casual meal without committing to a character buffet or a pricier resort dinner. Our whole meal at Whispering Canyon You also get the Wilderness Lodge atmosphere, which is basically a vacation inside your vacation. Dark wood, giant fireplaces, cozy chaos, and the faint possibility that someone at your table will be publicly roasted for asking for ketchup (IYKYK). That is dinner and a show. 6 Tips for Having the BEST STAY EVER at Disney’s Wilderness Lodge Steakhouse 71 Steakhouse 71 at Disney’s Contemporary Resort is one of the better non-buffet Table Service options to consider. The trick here is ordering strategically. If you use a Table Service credit on a lower-priced entrée, you are not getting the best Dining Plan value. But if you order something like the Filet Mignon, New York Strip, Prime Rib, or another higher-priced entrée, then add dessert and an eligible beverage, the numbers start lining up. The Steak Frites at Steakhouse 71 Steakhouse 71 also has a few things going for it beyond the math. It is close to Magic Kingdom, it is generally less chaotic than some of the character meals nearby, and it is a good option for people who want a real sit-down dinner without turning the evening into a formal dining production. This is a “check the menu before you book” restaurant. If you are the kind of person who would happily order the burger and call it a day, pay out of pocket and save the credit for somewhere stronger. You can WALK to Steakhouse 71 at Disney’s Contemporary Resort from Magic Kingdom! If you are the kind of person who sees steak and thinks, “Finally, the Dining Plan and I understand each other,” this could be a winner. Review: We’re BACK at Steakhouse 71 in Disney World to Try Some Secret Menu Eats! Sanaa Sanaa at Disney’s Animal Kingdom Lodge is a little trickier, but it can still be a strong Table Service credit when ordered well. Entrées like the Potjie Inspired, pork tenderloin, steak, and fish options can help you build a decent Dining Plan value, especially when paired with dessert and an eligible beverage. Seating But we need to talk about the bread service. The Indian-style Bread Service at Sanaa is one of the best things you can eat at Disney World. It is also not the entrée. It is not the dessert. It is its own glorious carb committee, and depending on the current Dining Plan rules, you should expect to pay for it separately unless Disney says otherwise. Do not let that ruin the meal. Just plan for it. Indian-style Bread Service Sanaa is best for Dining Plan users who want a flavorful Table Service meal and are not only chasing the highest possible dollar value. It can be a smart credit, but it is also a restaurant where the experience matters. Views of the savanna, warm service, and bread service that could settle international disputes? Worth considering. REVIEW: 5 Things That Are Required Eating at Sanaa in Disney World Ale & Compass Ale & Compass at Disney’s Yacht Club Resort is another sleeper pick. This restaurant is not usually the first thing people shout about when discussing Dining Plan value, which is part of why it works. It is calmer than many park restaurants, close to EPCOT and Hollywood Studios, and has several entrées that can make a Table Service credit feel reasonable. Ale & Compass Restaurant Sign and Entrance The New York Strip, flat iron steak, seafood pot pie, and other higher-priced dishes are the ones to watch. Add dessert and an eligible beverage, and you can get a respectable return on that credit. This is not a fireworks-level value. It is not ’Ohana noodles descending from the heavens. It is a practical, useful, and often overlooked option for people staying around the Crescent Lake area or hopping between EPCOT and Hollywood Studios. The Parker House Rolls with Spreads! Sometimes the best Dining Plan play is not the loudest one. Sometimes it is the restaurant that lets you sit down, eat something solid, and not listen to 700 people simultaneously discover that they are tired. Review! Is Ale and Compass Worth Your Time in Disney World? Via Napoli Via Napoli in EPCOT is a fascinating Dining Plan pick because it can be either smart or deeply controversial, depending on how you order. If you are using a Table Service credit on a higher-priced entrée like steak, fish, or chicken parmesan, there may be value here. Add dessert and an eligible beverage, and the credit can make sense. Via Napoli But pizza is where things get complicated. Via Napoli is beloved for its pizza, and rightly so. The problem is that the best pizza value often comes from sharing larger pies, and shared pizza math does not always line up neatly with Dining Plan credit value. In other words, Via Napoli may be a better out-of-pocket meal if your plan is to split a big pizza with the table. Prosciutto e Melone pizza If everyone is ordering individually and choosing higher-priced items, it can work. If your family is building a beautiful pizza commune in the middle of EPCOT, save the credits and pay normally. Review! Does Via Napoli Still Have The Best Pizza in Disney World? Why Signature Dining Usually Whiffs Now for the sneaky little trapdoor in the Dining Plan conversation. Signature Dining sounds like it should be a great use of credits because the restaurants are expensive. And sometimes, that’s true. A fancy meal paid for ahead of time can be lovely. But most Signature Dining restaurants require 2 Table Service credits. That changes everything. Cinderella White Chocolate Slipper A $95 or $100 meal sounds like a big Dining Plan win until you remember that you just used two credits to get it. Those same two credits could potentially cover two separate meals, like a character buffet and a solid steak dinner, or ’Ohana and another one-credit Table Service meal. California Grill table setting That is where Signature Dining usually loses the math fight. There are exceptions for personal preference. If you want the fancy dinner, book the fancy dinner. But if your goal is pure Dining Plan value, 2-credit meals are usually not the strongest play. They can be wonderful. They can be memorable. They can be delicious. They are just rarely the smartest use of credits. PERFECT PASTA NEWS: California Grill Is Bringing Back One of Our FAVORITE Menu Items! The Smartest Way To Use the Dining Plan The Dining Plan works best when you plan around the meals that already cost a lot. That means higher-priced Quick-Service entrées with specialty or alcoholic beverages. It means character buffets, all-you-care-to-enjoy meals, and family-style dinners. It means Table Service restaurants, where you will actually order the higher-priced entrée, dessert, and eligible beverage. Wagyu Strip Loin It does not mean forcing yourself to eat the most expensive thing on every menu just because a calculator is whispering in your ear. That is how you end up eating steak when you wanted soup. Nobody needs that kind of vacation tension. Stack Burger The best Dining Plan strategy is a mix of value and actual desire. Use your credits where they make sense, pay out of pocket when the meal is cheaper, and never waste a snack credit on something forgettable when there are Key Lime Pops in the world. Review! Is a Burger at Regal Eagle in EPCOT Better When Served On Garlic Toast? (Spoiler: Yes.) Final Forkful The Disney Dining Plan can absolutely make sense for some families, but only if you treat those credits like tiny prepaid park tickets to food. Use Quick-Service credits at places with bigger entrées and better beverage options. Use Table-Service credits at buffets, character meals, family-style restaurants, and spots where the entrée-dessert-drink combo actually adds up. And be careful with Signature Dining. It may feel fancy, but those 2-credit meals can quietly eat your plan value faster than a hungry teenager at a buffet. Liberty Tree Tavern As always, check the current menu, confirm Dining Plan participation before you book, and remember that prices can change faster than someone deciding they suddenly “aren’t that hungry” after you already bought them a full meal. If you’ve found yourself looking up flights across the pond recently, you’re not alone. American fans of themed entertainment have their eyes set on the United Kingdom right now. ©Kynren From an unprecedented Universal expansion and a bit of a throwback Disney retail spot to a local culture-centric “time-traveling” experience, the United Kingdom is in the midst of a themed entertainment boom! Kynren is Expanding Let’s begin with the U.K.’s history-tailored experience. The original Kynren, which is located in Bishop Auckland, County Durham, opened in 2016. The park uses 90-minute performances to depict major moments in British history, ranging from the Roman conquest of Britain, King Arthur’s search for the Holy Grail, and Winston Churchill’s “Finest Hour” speech during WW2. ©Peter Haygarth The new Storied Lands expansion will emphasize live-action shows, immersive environments, large-scale sets, animals, and cutting-edge effects. These new lands will include: The Trusty Stead, a horse stunt show adapted from Fina and the Golden Cape, which will feature medieval knights clashing on horseback, a fearless female warrior showing off her courage in a breathtaking display of horsemanship and daring stunts, enormous sets, stunning special effects, and the real Auckland Palace as the backdrop. This “powerful equestrian spectacle” will blend emotional storytelling with world-class horsemanship, daring stunts, and cinematic scale to create a “medieval world shaped by power, injustice, and courage.” The show’s protagonist is “a young woman whose life is torn apart — and the extraordinary bond she forges with a wild horse that will change her destiny forever.” The Legend of the Wear, a water-based stunt show based on the local legend of the Lambton Worm, featuring water effects, fight scenes, and stunts on a large lake, and will also include a monstrous, cursed creature that emerges from the water. The Lost Feather, a bird show featuring over 250 birds, is staged in a purpose-built 3,600-seat arena with a massive stage inspired by a bird’s nest. The show is described as a visually stunning free-flying bird show centered around the relationship between birds and humanity. A Viking-themed area where warriors clash and fires rage as part of a multi-sensory demonstration of the legendary warriors. A Victorian Imaginarium, where guests will enter a “Victorian library where imagination has escaped from the pages.” As they wander through an outdoor storytelling maze, guests will “encounter curious characters, inventive minds and theatrical surprises inspired by the wonder and creativity of the Victorian age.” This area will eventually tie to a larger Victorian Village planned for a future phase of development (currently targeted for 2027, subject to planning approval). ©Kynren Kynren – The Storied Lands is scheduled to open on July 18th, and tickets are already on sale. Prices Revealed for the UK’s NEW Time-Traveling Theme Park Expansion Universal is on the Way! While Universal’s United Kingdom Resort in Bedfordshire, England, is much further away than Kynren’s Storied Lands (it’s not scheduled to open until 2031), the upcoming park may be even more exciting for U.S.-based theme park fans. The resort will be Universal’s first ever newly built destination in Europe, and their first presence on the continent of any kind since they owned the previously built PortAventura theme park, and briefly renamed it Universal Mediterranea, in the early 2000s. ©Universal via BBC First announced in 2025, the initial phase of the U.K. resort is scheduled to offer a theme park, a 500-room hotel, and an integrated retail, dining, and entertainment complex (similar to CityWalk) over approximately 476 acres, with about 300 further acres earmarked for potential future development. According to Universal, the complex is forecast to draw approximately 8.5 million visitors in its first year of operation, add £50 billion to the UK economy by 2055, and create approximately 28,000 jobs across construction, operations, and the wider supply chain. Universal hasn’t released many further concrete details about the future park, but a close look at the released concept art reveals features that hint at areas based on Harry Potter, Jurassic World, and Back to the Future. Of course, that concept art could be purposefully deceptive, and could also change many times before the park actually opens. ©Universal | UK Theme Park Universal UK Theme Park Confirms New Plans Are in Development A Return to the Disney Store While U.S.-based Disney fans won’t find anything on the level of a new theme park in the U.K., those of a certain age can relive the feeling of visiting a Disney Store! That’s right, there’s a brick-and-mortar Disney Store location on London’s famous Oxford Street. In addition, Disney has also launched pop-up shops in Selfridges stores in several areas, including Manchester. ©Disney Disney hopes that these new locations will bring the Disney magic closer to even more fans and families across the country, allowing guests to connect with some of the stories, characters, and products they already know and love. ©Disney Disney Fans Have THOUGHTS About This MAJOR Disney Store Change It’s a great time to be a themed entertainment fan in the U.K., or just someone planning a trip there! If you’re not on the internet in the theme parks space, you might not know that the Universal Kids Resort is about to open in Frisco, Texas. Universal Kids Resort We recently went inside the new Universal resort, and the internet had some major reactions to it. If you’re planning on going to the new resort anytime soon, you should know about these 5 rules! During our time in this new park, we had lots of thoughts and feelings! It’s great for kiddos, but it’s not without its criticisms. If you’re heading into the park, there are lots of things to consider, like the ages of the kids with you, your interests, and the rules around the park. There’s no app for this resort One thing that we love about other Universal theme parks is the app! Universal Orlando has a great app where you can check wait times, get menu information, find maps, and more. Unfortunately for Universal Kids Resort guests, there’s no app for you at the time of writing! Universal Kids Resort On the website, Universal writes, “Universal Kids Resort will not have a mobile app at this time. We recommend signing up for emails for the latest updates regarding our resort.” While this resort isn’t as big as the theme parks, we do sorely miss having all of the information easily in one place. You can still find menus and maps online, but you will need to manually check those waittimes. Bello Bay Golf Cart Derby There are no single strollers for rent Another rule that caught us off guard is that there are no single strollers for rent at this resort. This was super surprising for a kids’ geared resort. They do have double strollers for rent if you don’t want to bring your personal one, especially if you’re flying in. Hair in the Clouds On the website, Universal shared, “No, Single Strollers will not be available to rent at Universal Kids Resort.” This doesn’t sound like language that will change in the future which is really surprising. If you only have one child, you can rent the double stroller, of course, but that isn’t always ideal for parents. You could use the extra space to hold your bags and other merchandise from the resort, but no matter how many silver linings we find, we’re still surprised by this rule. Universal Kids Resort Mug No single rider lines at Universal Kids Resort Another rule that might catch you off guard is that there are no single-rider lines! This isn’t a huge surprise, considering that anyone under 18 years old must be accompanied by an adult or companion at all times. This park isn’t necessarily one that adults will check out by themselves (and if you do, more power to you). Swings Over Del Mar On the website, Universal shares, “No, Universal Kids Resort rides and attractions will not include single rider lines.” This is another rule we don’t anticipate changing. This park also does not currently offer express ride access privileges, so there is no paying to skip the line here. Mama Luna’s Adopt-a-Kitty Day There are height requirements that might be surprising This resort is like any other with attractions, because there are height requirements. These height requirements involve maximum and minimum heights, so don’t be caught unaware before you hop in line. All of the attractions have health and safety warning signs posted at their entrance, in addition to the height requirements, so reading that sign is super important. Shrek’s Swamp Below is the full list of requirements. Rhonda’s TrollsFest Express Must be at least 36″ (92cm). Children under 48″ (122 cm) must be accompanied by a Supervising Companion. On each attraction sign, it reads “Secure all loose articles (phones, hats, glasses, video recording equipment, cameras, wallets, keys, etc.) or leave with a non-rider.” Bello Bay Golf Cart Derby During our time in the park, they were serious about these rules and reminded us on each attraction to put any video recording items, as well as our phones, away for the duration of the ride. While this isn’t unusual for theme park rules, it is something to note! At other Universal resorts, filming is prohibited on rides, so this isn’t a huge surprise. Since its introduction a few years ago, Disney’s Lightning Lane system has become an incredibly popular — and many would argue necessary — part of many Disney vacations. Test Track Lightning Lane However, also bear in mind that the system has a lot of rules, both official and unofficial, but we’d argue that some are meant to be broken. Before we get started, a quick rundown on Disney’s current Lightning Lane offerings: Lightning Lane Multi Pass allows guests to plan ahead of their visit and choose up to three Multi Pass experiences (one a Tier 1, and a pair of Tier 2’s or a trio of the latter) and arrival windows in a theme park. Guests staying at Disney resort hotels can book seven days in advance and all other non-hotel guests are able to book three days in advance. Lightning Lane Single Pass allows guests to enter an expedited line for those E-ticket attractions in the park. Single Passes are eligible to be purchased at the same time as their Multi Pass equivalents. Lightning Lane Premier Pass allows guests to join an expedited line for any attraction offered by Multi Pass or Single Pass without having to book arrival windows in advance. This offering can once again be purchased beginning in the same purchase window. So, with that out of the way, what “rules” are meant to be broken? “Don’t Be Late” While we certainly wouldn’t advise arriving late on purpose, don’t fret if you find yourself running behind reaching a ride. During various tests with the system, we’ve discovered that there is a 3-hour grace period where you can still scan into your Lightning Lanes even if it’s past your scheduled return time. Kilimanjaro Safaris Lightning Lane This not only benefits you if you’re running behind, but you’ll also be able to book your next Lightning Lane on your My Disney Experience app while still having access to your first one for two more hours! Let’s say you book a Lightning Lane for 10:00 AM. By 11:01 AM, it’ll show as expired in the app, and you can now book another Lightning Lane for a different ride. But because Cast Members generally honor Lightning Lane reservations for up to three hours after the scheduled time, you can still use your original Big Thunder Mountain reservation while also holding another one. As of this writing, it is still a hack that works! Big Thunder Mountain entrance. Now, bear in mind, of course, that Disney can change this window at any time, especially during a busier time. Still, it’s absolutely worth checking to see if your Lightning Lane still works even if you arrive at the ride after your scheduled time. The clock is ticking… 2 Lightning Lane Changes Have Hit Disney’s Hollywood Studios “Don’t Wait Too Long to Modify” If plans change — whether the time you’ll be arriving at a park, or even your desire to ride a certain ride — you can modify your Lightning Lane selections. Guests can simply go to the Lightning Lane section of the My Disney Experience app and select the option to modify their Lightning Lanes by clicking on the three dots at the top right of the ride! Modifying attractions is subject to availability, so you may not find another time you were hoping for, but if you need to modify, don’t wait! Instead, do so as soon as possible to try and score the best option possible. ©Disney Lightning Lane Tips for the Most Crowded Days in Disney World and Disneyland “Don’t Use a Lightning Lane for Soarin’” There was a period in recent years when Soarin’ definitely felt like a “waste” of a Lightning Lane. Specifically, when EPCOT’s Test Track was closed for a long refurbishment, Soarin’ had been moved up to a Tier 1 Lightning Lane, and the attraction and its wait times arguably didn’t merit its usage. However, that has changed in recent months. For starters, following last year’s reopening of Test Track, Soarin’ once again became a Tier 1 Lightning Lane. In addition, the patriotic Soarin’ Over America overlay — which features some of America’s best-known locations in celebration of the country’s 250th birthday — has reignited the ride’s popularity! The crowds at Soarin’ Next time you’re using the Lightning Lane system at Disney World, be sure to bear in mind what rules to follow and which ones can best be bent. Disney Springs is home to some fantastic restaurants, but when it comes to recommending them, one of our ultimate favorites is Raglan Road. It’s time for some delicious eats! Raglan Road Irish Pub serves up some delicious eats all year round on their regular menu, but they’re also known to have special menus arrive throughout the year. Right now, you can visit the restaurant and experience their Summer Lovin’ menu for lunch, and we just have to say it’s one you will NOT want to miss! The new Summer Lovin’ menu is a great way to save some money while you’re exploring the resort this summer, as all the menu offerings cost about $4-$6 less than normal! The menu is available on weekdays between 11 AM and 3 PM from now through August 31st. We love a summer deal, and we know you do too. Summer Lovin’ Menu The menu is as follows: Appetizers ($12 each) Soul Soup & Salad Combo Bang Bang Chicken Pretzel with Beer Braised Onion Cheese Sauce Entrées ($24 each) Fish ‘n’ Chips Fish ‘n’ Chips This Shepherd Went Veggie Shepherd’s Pie to Try Chicken Pie Bangers + Mash + Yum Bangers + Mash + Yum Salads ($20 each) Chicken Salad Chicken Salad Salmon Salad Cocktail Specials ($12 each) Rosemary Maple Strawberry Cucumber Mojito Wild Rosy Iced Irish Sides ($6 each) Side Salad Side of Fries We’re ready to eat! We started off with the Bang Bang Chicken, which was incredible. They’re so crispy and perfectly fried, served with a spicy sauce and topped with crunchy potatoes. This is a fan favorite for a reason — so satisfyingly crispy with just the right amount of heat and not overly sauced. It’s big enough to share, and if you’re a fan of medium heat, this will be a great start to your meal. Bang Bang Chicken Our entree was the Chicken Pie, which is the perfect meal for a rainy afternoon. The crust is so flaky and buttery, and it’s the perfect vehicle for the creamy layers of chicken, herbs, and cream. The pieces of chicken throughout are huge and incredibly juicy, and we loved how crunchy the edges of the pie crust are. Their mash deserves a plate by itself — they’re so creamy and hearty and full of big potato flavor without being overly heavy. Chicken Pie Finally, we had the Irish Coffee Cocktail, which was the perfect way to end the meal. It’s made with Irish whiskey, butterscotch Baileys, salted caramel cold brew, coffee, and whipped cream. This is just the perfect balance of whipped cream, cold coffee, and a little bit of the salted caramel comes through at the end with a slight burn of Irish whiskey. It’s absolutely delicious! Irish Coffee Cocktail If you’re looking for a hearty lunch that won’t leave you disappointed, while also saving you a few bucks, this is 100% the place to go this summer. We love getting to dine here and see what items on the menu will blow our minds and have us thinking about them for weeks to come. Disney World hotel rooms aren’t just where you collapse after 28,000 steps, a camera roll full of Instagrammable snacks, and ugly-cry during a fireworks show. They are also full of weird little surprises. Bay Lake Tower Some of them are practical. Some of them are adorable. Some of them are oddly specific in a way only Disney could pull off, because the Disney marketing team snuck a tiny hotel-room detail that makes you whisper, “Wait, did Mickey just emotionally manipulate me into booking another trip?” (Yes. Yes, he did.) So, before you toss your MagicBand on the nightstand and start arguing over who gets the bed closest to the AC vent, here are a few Disney World hotel room surprises you may not know about. Hey Disney! Can Give You a Proper Goodbye Sorry, we’re starting this article by saying goodbye. If you have a “Hey Disney!” device in your Disney World hotel room, you may want to chat with it before you leave. Specifically, tell it that it’s your last day. Because Disney looked at departure day, already the saddest pile of luggage, coffee, and denial imaginable, and said, “Let’s add feelings.” Hey Disney! When you tell Hey Disney! it’s your final day, the Fab Five can pop in for a little sendoff. Mickey and pals thank you for coming, remind you to visit again, and generally make you feel like your vacation has personally been tucked into bed by your closest five animated Disney friends. Hey Disney! It’s cute. It’s also mildly devastating. And yes, Mickey, we will come back. We always come back. That’s kind of the problem. Even if you’re someone who normally ignores the in-room voice assistant because you already have enough devices listening to your snack debates, this is one of those small Disney details that feels worth trying at least once. You Can Have Your Own “Hey Disney!” at Home & Here’s How! There May Be a Tiny Footstool Hiding Under Your Sink This one is dangerously cute. In some of Disney World’s recently refurbished hotel rooms, you may find a little footstool tucked under the bathroom sink. It is there so younger kids can reach the counter more easily, which is genuinely helpful if your morning routine involves toothpaste, sunscreen, and one child who has somehow become fully damp without taking a shower. Additional storage and seating But Disney did not stop at “useful.” Some of these footstools, like the ones at Disney’s Caribbean Beach Resort, also have a hidden Mickey on the bottom. The bottom. The part of the footstool most people will never inspect unless they are either a very curious child or a Disney adult who has been trained by years of wallpaper, carpeting, lamps, railings, shrubbery, and suspiciously round drawer pulls. MICKEY! That is the level of detail we’re dealing with here. Disney could have just given you a stool. Instead, it gave you a stool with a secret mouse stamp hiding underneath it like a tiny corporate wink. If you’re staying in a newly refreshed room, check under the sink. Your kid may get a practical step up, and you may get a new hidden Mickey to dramatically report to your group chat. Some “Standard” Rooms Can Fit a Fifth Guest For the most part, a standard Disney World hotel room sleeps up to four guests. That is the mental math most people use when they start pricing out a trip. Two beds. Four people. One bathroom. Everyone pretends we’re fine. But there are some Disney World hotel rooms that can sleep an extra guest without forcing you to jump all the way up to a villa, family suite, or the kind of room category that makes your credit card quietly crawl under the couch. Bay Lake Tower At moderate resorts like Disney’s Caribbean Beach Resort and Disney’s Port Orleans Resort – Riverside, you can find 5th sleeper room options. These rooms typically include two queen beds plus a child-size pull-down bed tucked into the wall. 5th Sleeper in The Little Mermaid Rooms Is that fifth bed enormous? No. This is not where your six-foot uncle is going to recharge like royalty. It is best suited for a kiddo, or possibly a very determined smaller human who thinks a wall bed is the height of vacation luxury. Still, this can be a huge deal for families of five who do not want to split into two rooms or pay for larger accommodations. How convenient The key detail here is that you need to book the correct category. Do not assume every room at those resorts comes with the pull-down bed. When you’re booking online, look for the room category that specifically mentions the 5th sleeper or child-size pull-down bed. Disney will not magically unfold a secret fifth bed from the wallpaper just because you arrive with one extra child and a prayer. Port Orleans Riverside Murphy Bed But be careful about those extra fees! The price of your room changes if there are three adults in a room compared to two adults and one kid. Yup — you read that right! The price will increase once another adult is added to your Disney hotel room reservation. So be sure to keep this in mind if you’re trying to use this bed to sneak in an extra adult because reality is, you can’t. ROOM TOUR: Come See The NEW Royal Rooms At Disney’s Port Orleans Riverside Resort A Parking Lot View Might Give You Fireworks Normally, when a Disney hotel room says, “water view,” people immediately understand the appeal. Pretty lake! Sparkly reflections! Vacation atmosphere! You can sip your coffee and pretend you are the kind of person who journals on a balcony instead of checking Lightning Lane availability with anxiety-driven determination. But over at Gran Destino Tower at Disney’s Coronado Springs Resort, the more surprising view might be the cheaper one. Gran Destino Tower at Disney’s Coronado Springs Resort When you book at Gran Destino Tower, you may see options like resort view and water view. The water view is often the more expensive pick, and to be fair, it can be gorgeous. Coronado Springs is a beautiful resort, and Gran Destino has that polished “I packed linen pants” energy. Room View to the Right But some resort-view rooms in the tower face out toward EPCOT and Disney’s Hollywood Studios. That means, at night, you may be able to see fireworks from your room. Are we talking “full deluxe theme park view, music piped in, emotional symphony from the balcony” levels of fireworks viewing? No. Let’s not start selling that castle-view fantasy from a Coronado parking lot angle. But can you see bursts of nighttime spectacular joy from a room category that may cost less than those official fireworks-view rooms elsewhere on property? Absolutely. Here’s the view at night from Dahlia Lounge! If you’re booking Gran Destino and want to try for this, consider requesting a higher floor with a view toward EPCOT or Hollywood Studios. Room requests are never guaranteed, but this is one of those cases where the “less glamorous” room category can come with a sneaky little perk. A parking lot by day, fireworks by night. Very Cinderella, if Cinderella had booked a moderate resort. FULL TOUR of a Deluxe Club Suite Room at Gran Destino Tower in Disney World One Beach Club Room Is Basically EPCOT’s Roommate Disney’s BoardWalk Inn, Yacht Club, and Beach Club are all EPCOT-area resorts, which means they come with one of the greatest Disney World luxuries of all: walking to EPCOT. No bus. No monorail transfer. No standing in a transportation line, wondering why your family suddenly cannot walk in a straight line. You just stroll over to the International Gateway entrance, which drops you into the World Showcase side of EPCOT near the France and U.K. pavilions. A dangerous location if you are easily influenced by pastries, which I am. Deeply. Disney’s Beach Club Resort But if you want the closest possible room-to-EPCOT setup, Beach Club has a very specific little legend attached to it. Room 1501 is located near a side door that opens out toward the EPCOT walkway. It is not exactly a neon-lit “secret portal,” but it can feel like one when you are heading back from EPCOT after fireworks, and the lobby suddenly feels 400 emotional miles away. So close to EPCOT Rooms near 1501, especially in that general stretch, can put you incredibly close to the International Gateway path. We’re talking “I forgot something in the room, and I’m not immediately furious” close. You can request a specific room or area, but Disney does not guarantee room requests. You can call Disney Resort Hotel Reservations and ask to have the request noted on your reservation, but do not build your entire vacation strategy around one room number. Still, if EPCOT is the main character of your trip, requesting a room near that Beach Club side entrance is a very smart move. 25 Things You May Not Know Your Disney World Hotel Can Do For You! Saratoga Springs Has Rooms That Make Disney Springs Way Easier Disney’s Saratoga Springs Resort & Spa is one of those resorts that sounds peaceful and convenient on paper, and it can be both. It is also enormous. This resort is not a compact little hotel where you blink and suddenly arrive at the lobby. Saratoga Springs spreads out across multiple sections, which is wonderful if you like a quieter resort feel and a little breathing room, but less wonderful if your feet are killing you at the end of the day. Saratoga Springs One of the biggest perks at Saratoga Springs is the pedestrian bridge that connects the resort to Disney Springs. That means shopping, dining, lounges, snacks, and “we were just going to browse” purchases are all within reach. But not every room is equally close to that bridge. Disney’s Saratoga Springs Resort If easy Disney Springs access is a priority, you’ll want to request the Congress Park section of the resort. That is the area closest to the walkway bridge, and it can make a huge difference if your ideal evening involves strolling over for dinner, grabbing a Gideon’s cookie, or somehow ending up at World of Disney with a basket full of things you did not technically need. Congress Park Could you still take a boat or drive from other parts of Saratoga Springs? Sure. But if the whole appeal is walking to Disney Springs, Congress Park is the room request you want in your pocket. Again, not guaranteed. Disney room requests are wishes, not contracts. But this is one of those requests that can genuinely change how the resort functions for your trip. THIS is Why We Warn You About Weekends At Disney Springs BoardWalk Inn Has Garden Rooms That Feel Like Tiny Disney Houses Disney’s BoardWalk Inn already has a strong personality. It has Crescent Lake, the BoardWalk entertainment district, easy access to EPCOT and Hollywood Studios, and the general atmosphere of a turn-of-the-century seaside vacation where everyone is wearing stripes and someone is definitely about to sell you saltwater taffy. But tucked into the resort are some especially charming rooms that a lot of guests do not know exist: the Garden Rooms with Club Level access, often referred to by longtime Disney fans as Garden Suites or Garden Cottages. BoardWalk Inn Cottages These are not your typical hotel rooms. They feel more like little private homes tucked into the resort’s garden area, with outdoor charm, extra privacy, and a very “I live here now, forward my mail to the BoardWalk” kind of energy. These are currently listed as Garden Room Club Level category as sleeping up to two adults with one king bed, plus club-level access. These rooms are limited, which makes them feel even more like a secret handshake for people who know exactly where to look. The living room! Historically, these have been known for their cottage-like setup, garden views, and that tucked-away feeling that makes the BoardWalk feel less like a hotel and more like a tiny coastal neighborhood with significantly better access to EPCOT snacks. They are not going to be the cheapest rooms at the resort. Club Level and “adorable little garden hideaway” are not usually budget-friendly phrases. But if you want a romantic, quiet, slightly storybook-feeling Disney hotel room, this is one of the most surprising options on property. And pack a cute outfit — the white picket fence energy demands it. FULL TOUR: The Hidden Disney World Hotel Suites That’ll Make Your Jaw DROP Your Hotel Room Has More Secrets Than You Think Disney World hotel rooms can be expensive, and yes, sometimes the biggest surprise is the nightly rate. But hidden inside all that vacation math are some genuinely fun details, useful room categories, sneaky views, and tiny pieces of pixie dust you might miss if you treat your room like nothing more than a sleep-and-shower space. No shame in a mid-day nap! So, inspect the footstool. Talk to Hey Disney! before you leave. Look closely at your room category. Make the room request. Check the map before assuming your resort section is “close enough.” Because sometimes the best Disney hotel room perks are not the loud ones. They are the quiet little surprises tucked under the sink, behind a side door, or just outside your window after dark. BoardWalk Inn And if Mickey personally tells you to come back on your last day? Well. Who are we to argue with the mouse? Pirates of the Caribbean. Is there any more beloved classic Disney ride? It’s become so popular that it even launched a series of highly successful movies, and we’re not going to get tired of it any time soon. 626 Day is here! Since the Walt Disney Animation Studios’ classic debuted in 2002, Lilo & Stitch has grown from a fan-favorite film into a global phenomenon, celebrated around the world at different Disney parks, a wide variety of merchandise, and even inspiring a spirited live-action film of the same name in 2025. This annual, fan-driven celebration of friendship and ‘ohana highlights why so many audiences have connected with this grounded story, its instantly recognizable, Elvis-heavy soundtrack, and its beloved characters for nearly 25 years (special shoutout to my favorite, Cobra Bubbles). With a ton of themed dining, exciting entertainment, and more across Disney Experiences, here’s how you can find Lilo & Stitch characters, merchandise, and more across Disney Parks. When it comes to dining at Disney World, you’ve got a TON of options. Want something quick and easy? You’ve got it. Something middle-of-the-road and comforting? Yep, that too. And if you’re looking for something upscale and luxurious, you can find that as well. La Creperie de Paris We recently stopped by La Creperie de Paris at EPCOT to see what was cookin’, and now we’re bringing you our FULL review. Is it worth a stop on your next trip to the Most Magical Place on Earth? Find out here! Atmosphere La Crêperie de Paris is located in EPCOT’s France Pavilion, though you may not spot it right away. It’s tucked away in the expanded section of the pavilion near Remy’s Ratatouille Adventure, making it a bit easy to miss if you don’t know where to look. In this area, you’ll actually find two different spots serving crepes. One offers a full table-service dining experience, while the other is a convenient quick-service window. La Crêperie de Paris is the sit-down restaurant, and Crêpes À Emporter by La Crêperie de Paris is the grab-and-go option. La Crêperie De Paris For this review, we’re dining at La Crêperie de Paris, but if you’re simply in the mood for a crepe without committing to a full meal, the quick-service window is a fantastic alternative. Inside the restaurant, the design is understated and elegant, featuring a neutral color palette with plenty of brown, gray, and cream tones. Wood and stone details throughout the space help create a warm, inviting atmosphere. Inside La Creperie De Paris Artwork depicting scenes from Paris lines the walls and adds a welcome burst of color to the dining room. We especially enjoy how these paintings bring a little piece of Paris into the restaurant. Since La Crêperie de Paris is relatively small, we suggest making an advance dining reservation when possible. That said, we’ve frequently noticed walk-up availability, so don’t rule it out if you haven’t planned ahead. Plenty of seating But enough about the restaurant — what’s on the menu here?! Menu You can choose from the Soupe du Jour or a Salade Maison as an appetizer. You can also choose to select the Prix Fixe Menu, which is a popular option at this restaurant. With the Prix Fixe Menu, you get either the soup of the day or the Salade Maison, a choice of a Galette, a choice of a Dessert Crêpe, as well as a choice between hard cider, soda, or juice. ©Disney You can also get the Prix Fixe Menu for kids, which includes a choice of a Galette (brie cheese, ratatouille, or ham and cheese) and one Dessert Crepe (sugar, red berries, or hazelnut chocolate spread). The restaurant offers a variety of galettes (or buckwheat crêpes). ©Disney As well as Dessert Crepes like Sucre, Banane, and Poire. ©Disney And now, onto the drinks! Drinks To drink, we picked up the Demi Sec Hard Cider as part of the prix fixe. You can buy this by the glass for $7.95 or by the bottle for $32. On the first sip, this had a sharpness we could immediately taste. The whole drink was very bubbly, and the bubbles lasted the entire breakfast. There wasn’t a flavor that really stood out to us in this drink. It wasn’t very sweet, but it did have a slight apple flavor. Demi Sec Hard Cider Eats We decided to go with the Prix Fixe Menu for $39.95. The Prix Fixe Menu comes with the choice of Soup of the Day or Salade Maison; choice of one Galette with a Glass of Hard Cider, Soda, or Juice; and Choice of one Dessert Crêpe. First up, we grabbed the Soupe du Jour for our appetizer. We tried the Vegetable Garden Soup. Vegetable Garden Soup The herbs are reminiscent of a minestrone. There were some large chunks of vegetables throughout that included cucumber, zucchini, onion, and squash. This was on the thinner side for a soup, but we didn’t mind the consistency. The croutons had a little crunch but had soaked up a lot of the flavor of the soup, which was a good thing ultimately. We enjoyed the croutons! For our prix fixe entrée, we tried the Savoyarde. This crepe is made with Raclette Cheese, Caramelized Onions, Bacon, and Imported Bayonne Ham. The edges were really tough to cut through, making us feel like we had never used a fork and knife before. The onions were very sweet, while the ham was very salty, giving it a balance. Savoyarde The buckwheat on its own had a slightly over-toasted sourdough taste. The bacon was fatty and a little chewy in a good way. This was salty and sweet. For dessert, we tried the Pomme. This crepe is made with Caramelized Apples and Caramel Beurre Salé. This is what stole the show for us. The pieces of apple are so soft, but not mushy. There’s so much apple filling in this crepe, and we couldn’t get enough. Pomme The caramel isn’t sickeningly sweet. The crepe itself is really thin and easy to cut through because it’s so soft. We would make a special trip to get this crepe again in the future. This was delicious! Nosh or Not This Disney World restaurant is a must-visit if… You’re looking for a nice, air-conditioned, sit-down table service meal. Not only is this meal delicious, but it’s an amazing break from the Florida heat. You’re looking for something different than your average theme park meal. We love a good, unique meal, and that’s exactly what you get at this spot. You want a lot of food for a good price. We love that you can get all of this food at a Disney World restaurant for only $40! That is an amazing deal for the quality and quantity you’re getting with this meal. You should skip this Disney World spot if… You’re not a fan of prix-fixe menus. This style of dining is not for everyone, and if you don’t love it, but you still want to try the crepes, we would suggest checking out the Crêpes À Emporter by La Crêperie de Paris window. You don’t love crepes. This whole menu is ALL about crepes, so if you are not a fan, then we would suggest trying some of the other fantastic dining options around World Showcase, you might enjoy more. Overall Overall, we had a positive experience dining here, especially since we arrived during a quieter time and were seated immediately. The air conditioning was a welcome escape from the Florida heat, though the decor is fairly simple and understated. One thing to keep in mind is that the space can get quite noisy, as the acoustics cause conversations to echo throughout the dining room, making it seem louder than it actually is. This might be something to keep in mind for guests who are sensitive to sounds. Outside dining Considering you’re essentially getting four courses for around $40, this meal offers a lot of value for the price. However, it’s also an incredibly filling experience, so come hungry because you’ll likely leave feeling very full. The Pomme was the highlight of our meal here! As always, we’ll continue keeping an eye out for more Disney World restaurant updates and reviews, so stay tuned to Disney Food Blog for the latest Disney news, dining tips, and more. LEVEL99 has officially opened in Disney Springs, and we have loved checking it out and exploring everything this brand-new facility has to offer. LEVEL99 We got to experience all the fun, and we have BIG thoughts. Now that we’ve got some time to think, we are finally ready to reveal the best games you can find at LEVEL99! LEVEL99 is a massive interactive game experience with over 63 different mental and physical challenges for you to play with your family and friends. After checking out the brand-new attraction, we are officially ready to share our favorite games so you know exactly what to prioritize on your next visit. LEVEL99 In case you didn’t know, there are several types of games at LEVEL99. There’s one solo game (the Axe Run), several physical games, and several mental games. Level99 officially breaks them up into Rooms, Duels, and Art Hunts. Each game, aside from Axe Run, is designed for groups of 2-6 people, so if you and your family like a mix of games, we have a mix of favorites. Level99 in Disney Springs For brain games, we had a few favorites! Brain Cells… Brain Cells …Crystal Vision… Crystal Vision …Enter Password… Enter Password …and the Magician’s Sideshow all stood out to us. If you’re looking to work your brain and have a ton of fun with your group, this is a great way to have some screen-free fun! Magician’s Sideshow Some notable puzzle games were the Mansion Gallery and Mansion Banquet! Mansion Banquet allows you to act as a dinner party planner. During the game, you’ll race against a timer to seat party guests by perfectly matching their ideal seat, dinner, and drink using clues scattered around the room. Mansion Banquet In Mansion Gallery, you go through art to look for clues and decipher riddles. This one is a test of logic and delusion! Mansion Gallery! Physical games were also SUPER fun for our group of 4. 8-bit Lava is a physical agility game that’s inspired by the very popular Floor is Lava game! Ninja Swing is similar to 8-Bit Lava, but it involves players testing their grip strength, balance, and precision by using ropes to swing across a series of tricky platforms while they try to avoid touching the ground! Pirates Brig is a game where your entire team needs to climb through a barred window to escape, but you can’t set off the metal sensors! Pirates Brig Finally, Wild Orchard was one that really stuck out to us! In this seriously tricky game, we have to navigate through a confined and obstacle-filled room without triggering the pressure sensors. Inside Wild Orchard These games were so fun and competitive, so be aware that this could bring families close together or maybe cause a few fights! (But fun, limited-time fights.) One of our reporters even said, “This is tumbling class, gymnastics class, the president’s physical fitness challenge, Bikram yoga work study, and every other physical fitness option wrapped into one.” We really love this experience, and we think it is a phenomenal addition to Disney Springs. We will continue to keep you posted on all the LEVEL99 news, so stay tuned with Disney Food Blog, so you never miss anything! This NEW Disney Springs Restaurant Just Took A BIG Step Towards Opening! A LOT of new things are coming to Disney World this summer. But out of all the fun newness, one of the things we were most excited to experience at Disney Springs is LEVEL99, an interactive, challenge-based social space for adults featuring 63 life-sized physical and mental games and challenges, opening on June 29th. Pineapple Banana Painkiller In addition to the games and challenges, LEVEL99 features a central two-story bar with craft food offerings. The two-story bar is encircled by glowing neon lights visible throughout the venue, making the food an integral part of the atmosphere. So obviously, we had to try the whole menu to see if the food lives up to the hype! To drink, we got the Pineapple Banana Painkiller for $13.50. This is made with Clean Co. Clean Rum alternative, Giffard alcohol-free pineapple liqueur, banana, coconut cream, lime, and nutmeg in a zero-proof mocktail. This is one of Level99’s Pouched Cocktails, which are basically like an adult CapriSun. Pineapple Banana Painkiller This Painkiller is non-alcoholic, but made with a zero-proof rum, so you still get the spiced taste of a traditional Painkiller. It had a lot of pineapple and banana juice, which was super refreshing after walking around in the Florida heat. This was thicker than a traditional Painkiller, almost a smoothie-like consistency, but it still came out of the pouch just fine. While the pouch seemed gimmicky at first, we found it was very practical to carry into all the venues to play games while drinking! Pineapple Banana Painkiller To eat, we tried the Loaded Elote Guacamole for $12. These are tortilla chips served with charred corn, queso fresco, lime crema, tajín, and cilantro. Loaded Elote Guacamole This elote guacamole is housemade, and it tasted so fresh! The dip itself is like a thick queso, so it’s cheesy and salty. There are a lot of corn pieces mixed in, and they’re all charred to add a great crunch. The tortilla chips are also housemade, and they’re so salty and flavorful that we could eat them by themselves and be happy. Loaded Elote Guacamole We loved trying this new food at LEVEL99 at Disney Springs. Stay tuned to Disney Food Blog for more Disney World food reviews! If you’re visiting Disney World soon, it’s likely that you’ll take advantage of at least one of Disney World’s table service restaurants (or more because there are SO many great ones!). You are also probably aware that a tip is customary when dining at table service restaurants. Disney World Receipt However, for some, a new Florida law will change how that works in restaurants. We’re going to get you up to speed on this law and explain how it will affect your dining at Disney World table service restaurants. In 2025, Florida Governor Ron DeSantis signed a new bill into law that requires “Every public food service establishment which charges an operations charge includes an automatic gratuity or service charge in the price of the meal shall include notice on the food menu, written contract, and website or mobile application where food and beverage orders are placed, as applicable, that includes the amount or percentage of the operations charge and the purpose of the operations charge.” Dining at Be Our Guest Basically, that means that every restaurant that adds an automatic gratuity or tip to a bill needs to let the customer know before they dine that this will be the case. The law even goes so far as to say that the font size of the notice should be equal to or greater than the font size used for menu item descriptions. If the restaurant doesn’t provide menus or any kind of written contract, the notice must appear on a menu board or a clearly legible sign by the register where the customer pays. Boma Granted, in Disney World, a gratuity or tip is not generally automatically added to a bill unless you have a group of six or more people, but a restaurant will need to make sure there’s a notice establishing that fact. However, both Cinderella’s Royal Table and Hoop Dee Doo Musical Revue pre-include a gratuity on the bill regardless of party size. Cinderella’s Royal Table This new law officially goes into effect on July 1st, so you’ll want to keep an eye out for those notices when you visit a restaurant in Disney World or anywhere else in Florida. So many new lands are currently in progress in Disney World, with one of the biggest being Monstropolis in Disney’s Hollywood Studios. @bioreconstruct on X The land is taking over the former Muppets Courtyard, and we’ve been following along closely with construction since the beginning to see how it’s all been coming along. The new coaster coming to the land is to be Disney’s first-ever suspended coaster, and based on what we’ve seen so far, it’s going to be BIG, and that’s only being confirmed by these new photos we just got of its status. @bioreconstruct on X was just able to get some fantastic flyover photos of how the roller coaster is looking from above. From what we can see, it’s clear that the structure’s width/base floor appears to be mainly complete, as now Disney is working on building upwards. @bioreconstruct on X Multiple floors are now in the process of being built, and we can even see where track has begun to be placed on the service floor level! It also appears there is some track on the higher levels as well, which could be for the ride track in the first scene, according to @bioreconstruct. @bioreconstruct on X There’s still lots of work left to be done, of course, but we’re really thinking this land will hit its 2027 opening timeline, though we imagine it could be closer to the middle of the year rather than the beginning (but we can dream!).
