  1. Yesterday was a sad day for Muppets fans all around, as we officially said goodbye to Muppets Courtyard in Disney’s Hollywood Studios. Muppets Courtyard in Hollywood Studios PizzeRizzo and Muppet*Vision 3D were the final two areas to close in the Grand Avenue section of Disney’s Hollywood Studios, and we knew we needed to head back first thing this morning to see what the area looks like now. Let’s just say, it truly is the end of an era. Our first stop of the day was for a map at the front of the park, and sure enough, Disney has already changed its map to reflect the closure. Now, you see Grand Avenue listed, but there is no Muppets Courtyard listed beyond it — it’s all just greenery. It’s gone from the map! Then we headed back to see the damage for ourselves, and our hearts sank, just as we expected them to. We knew it was coming, but nothing prepared us for seeing the land blocked off by shrubs! Blocked off! While you can currently still see inside the courtyard pretty well, we have a feeling this might change soon. We don’t think Disney will want to show us everything they’re working on, so we expect to see larger walls come up soon, maybe some walls that share the concept art of the new land. Larger walls might be here soon We could see the beginning of what looked like some new construction yesterday towards the back of the land, so it seems like Disney is already planning to get started on the project. Stroller storage backstage These new shrubs aren’t the first to block off the Muppets Courtyard. We spotted other construction walls earlier this year, as walls were installed around Mama Melrose’s (which closed a few weeks ago), so the land was already practically halfway under construction. While we’re sad to see this land go, we’re thrilled we’re not losing the Muppets forever, and their new home will be over at Rock ‘n’ Roller Coaster in 2026! ©Disney This area will now undergo construction to be turned into the new Monsters, INC. Land, Disney announced in 2024. It’ll be home to new dining locations (like Harryhausen’s, if the concept art is anything to go by!), merchandise stands, and Disney’s first suspended coaster that will show us all what it’s like to soar above Monsters, INC., like one of the doors in the film! ©Disney Don’t want to go through all of the stress of booking your Disney World trip alone? 2. If you haven’t noticed, we’ve been spending a lot of time at Universal Orlando lately (but, really, who hasn’t?). Universal Studios Florida The opening of Epic Universe has given us five new lands to obsess over, after all, but that doesn’t mean we’re not keeping an eye on other Universal Orlando parks, too. So you can imagine our surprise when we discovered that a classic Universal Orlando ride, one beloved by many, will be temporarily closing soon. Yes, if you want to go on a grand adventure with the E.T. Adventure Ride, you’ll need to visit Universal Studios Florida TODAY (June 8th) because the ride will be closing for refurbishment tomorrow. According to the Universal Orlando calendar, the E.T. Adventure Ride will close on June 9th, but it will reopen on June 13th, so the closure is a short one. So if you’re visiting during that time, you might have to miss out on the ride. ©Universal You’ll also want to keep another permanent closure in mind at Universal Studios Florida. Hollywood Rip Ride Rockit will close on August 18th, 2025, to “make way for a new experience.” Universal hasn’t shared what that new experience might be (all we have so far is a permit for new construction in that area), so stay tuned for more details. Hollywood Rip Ride and Rockit In the meantime, if you’re looking for more details about Epic Universe, check out our guide here. And stay tuned to DFB for more. 3. Traveling isn’t easy, and it only gets harder the longer your flight is, the earlier/later in the day it is, the more people you travel with — do you see where this is going? Don’t even get us STARTED about driving. Let’s fly! Bottom line: traveling is NOT EASY, but there are things that can make it a little easier. Maybe that looks like paying for a window or aisle seat so you can be more comfortable, upgrading your seat, or making sure you have movies and/or books downloaded to keep yourself and/or your kids busy as you fly. But do you know what would make flying way harder? STANDING SEATS. No, unfortunately we’re not kidding. Business Insider recently reported that Italian seat manufacturer recently unveiled a new design that could reduce the cost of travel and allow for more seats per plane. The caveat? YOU’RE STANDING UP. ©aviointeriors EXCUSE us?! What is this, Pipeline from SeaWorld Orlando? Why in the world would we want to STAND UP (practically) on our flight? This isn’t accessible for many people, and frankly just isn’t comfortable for many more. The designer proudly mentioned that it cut the space between seats — trust us, we see it, and we hate it. But it gets better! They have TRAY TABLES. (And by that we mean, goodness gracious, please take it away.) ©aviointeriors Apparently, this would allow for airplanes to add 20% more passengers on board each flight, but let’s be honest — there will likely be 50% less people on every single flight because I think most of us would freeze in fear if we ever saw these on a plane. Not to worry though, some users on X have spoken up saying they work on airplane seats, and that there’s no way these would ever pass inspection. Listen, we know people lie on the internet all the time, but WOW do we hope that’s true, because we don’t think the words “standing seats” should ever be put in the same sentence as “airplane.” ©aviointeriors While it doesn’t seem like these will become reality anytime soon, some airlines have expressed interest in standing seats, and that has us VERY nervous. Don’t worry, we’ll be keeping a VERY close eye on this and plan to warn you if there’s ever the chance we’ll have to choose between standing on our flight for a cheap ticket or sitting down and spending a small fortune. 4. A Disney World hidden gem is closing this week! This iconic steak house has been serving up juicy steak, cozy vibes, and massive portions since 1995. Walt Disney World Dolphin Hotel However, you now have just ONE week to make one last trip here for a delicious meal. Soon, this under-the-radar restaurant will be closing for good to make way for a new restaurant. Shula’s Steak House is about to close for good! This steak house, located inside the Walt Disney World Dolphin Hotel, will be accepting its last reservations on June 14th and will be closing for good on June 15th. So, make sure you hurry over if you are hoping to dine here one last time! Shula’s Steak House Shula’s Steak House will be closing to make way for a new restaurant, Bourbon Steak by Michael Mina. This will be the tenth location of Bourbon Steak and the third location in Florida. We are expecting Bourbon Steak to make its debut sometime in mid-summer 2025. Let’s take a look at what other attractions and locations will be closed this week, June 7th through June 14th, at Disney World! Magic Kingdom Playground at Dumbo the Flying Elephant The indoor children’s playground inside the Dumbo the Flying Elephant queue closed for refurbishment on February 24th, 2025. While the playground is closed, the ride is still open and available for kids of all ages to soar through the sky! Dumbo the Flying Elephant The indoor playground is expected to reopen in Spring 2025. Hall of Presidents The Hall of Presidents closed at Magic Kingdom on January 20th. The Hall of Presidents The attraction will be closed until later in 2025, though Disney has not shared a specific date. We will keep an eye out for updates, though! The closure is likely to change the current president, as January 20th marked Inauguration Day. While it is closed, other maintenance and routine work may also be happening. Astro Orbiter If you want to blast off into space, you’ll have to head over to Space Mountain because Astro Orbiter is temporarily closed for refurbishment. Astro Orbiter closed as of January 13th and is planned to reopen in the summer of 2025. No specific date has been announced for the high-in-the-sky ride, but we’ll keep our eyes peeled for an update from Disney. Astro Orbiter is being reassembled! The ride has been completely dismantled and is being refurbished elsewhere. It definitely looks a little barren as you are walking into Tomorrowland right now! However, Disney has filed a permit that could mean the attraction will soon be back in its place in Tomorrowland, and we are starting to see it getting reassembled. Construction walls are back, and the crane is in place to reassemble. REVIEW: We’ve Got Three Words To Say About This New Magic Kingdom Snack: “Wow. Wow. Wow.” Big Thunder Mountain Railroad On January 6th, Big Thunder Mountain Railroad closed for an extended temporary closure. Big Thunder Mountain Railroad The “Wildest Ride in the Wilderness” will be closed for at least a year and will reopen sometime in 2026. The ride will be undergoing maintenance while it is closed. When it reopens, it will have some “new magic,” according to Disney. We can’t wait to see what changes will be coming to this ever-popular roller coaster! We recently spotted some ride testing happening, which was very exciting. Tomorrowland Terrace Tomorrowland Terrace is a quick-service restaurant that has been closed since the 2020 pandemic-related closures, but even before that, this spot was only occasionally open. Tomorrowland Terrace Once in a while, you’ll see the dining room open as a rest area (and it’s still being used for the Magic Kingdom Fireworks Dessert Parties), but it’s usually all roped off and empty. Disney hasn’t announced when this spot could finally reopen, but we’ll be watching for updates. If you’re looking for a nice spot to hang out in Disney World and take a rest, this could be it! Tortuga Tavern Just like Tomorrowland Terrace, Tortuga Tavern is a seasonal restaurant in Magic Kingdom. It has been a bit since we saw it open. Most recently, it was used as a cookie location for Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party. Tortuga Tavern We had previously spotted shrubs around the restaurant as they worked on the flooring. However, all the shrubs have been taken down now. We don’t know exactly when/if this restaurant will reopen, but we will keep you updated if we learn more! REVIEW: We Found a Surprisingly Good Snack at One of Magic Kingdom’s Worst Restaurants EPCOT Test Track Test Track closed on June 17th, 2024, and Disney is giving this ride a BIG makeover! Disney has shared that the new version of Test Track will take inspiration from the old ride, World of Motion, that was originally there when the park opened in 1982. We recently spotted a new Test Track sign make its debut in the courtyard. Plus, the gift shop has a new sign and a new name, Test Track Gear Shop. There it is! Disney shared more details at D23: The Ultimate Disney Fan Experience, and an updated opening timeline was announced! We’ll be able to ride Test Track once again in late summer 2025. We have gotten a look at the new Test Track cars, too. Recently, we have even been hearing vehicles running on the track. We are getting closer and closer to its reopening! Think You Have What It Takes to Live in EPCOT’s Tiny Train Town?! Disney’s Animal Kingdom It’s Tough to Be a Bug It’s Tough to Be a Bug is officially closed for good. This attraction in Disney’s Animal Kingdom once invited you to join the bug kingdom on an adventure. While the show didn’t usually make it to the top of favorite attractions in Disney World, it has now officially closed to make way for a new show. It’s Tough to Be a Bug is closed! It’s Tough to Be a Bug closed on March 17th. The show is permanently closed to make way for a brand-new show, “Zootopia: Better Zoogether!”, expected to debut in winter 2025. TriceraTop Spin, Chester & Hester’s Dinosaur Treasures, and Fossil Fun Games The first round of closures began in DinoLand U.S.A. on January 13th, 2025. TriceraTop Spin, Chester & Hester’s Dinosaur Treasures, and Fossil Fun Game were closed down, and construction has begun on the brand-new land themed to the Tropical Americas, Pueblo Esperanza. The walls have been up since the closure, and things have been disappearing from behind the walls. Almost everything has been taken down behind the walls, including the large green dinosaur. DinoLand, U.S.A. It is definitely a sad sight, but we are also excited to see Pueblo Esperanza! DINOSAUR, Restaurantosaurus, the snack stands, and The Boneyard remain open. Disney hasn’t announced an official closing date for the rest of DinoLand. However, they have announced that “2025 is your year to visit before it goes extinct!” REVIEW: TWO New Snacks Landed In Animal Kingdom, but Disney Just Ditched an ICONIC Snack in the Process Disney’s Hollywood Studios Muppets Courtyard including Muppet*Vision 3D and PizzeRizzo Muppet*Vision 3D AND PizzeRizzo will be closed beginning June 8th, and Muppets Courtyard will be walled off so construction can begin on the new land. That means that June 7th is your LAST day for both Muppet*Vision 3D and PizzeRizzo. PizzeRizzo Mama Melrose’s Ristorante Italiano has already been closed for a bit (since May 11th). Soak in the Muppets Courtyard while you still can! But don’t worry, the Muppets won’t be missing from Disney’s Hollywood Studios forever. The Muppets will eventually be taking over Rock ‘n’ Roller Coaster. We don’t know the dates yet, but it is something that will be happening at some point. Mama Melrose’s Ristorante Italiano We are getting close to the closure of this Hollywood Studios restaurant. If you have been wanting to have one last meal here, make sure you stop by on May 10th or before, as the restaurant is officially closing for good on May 11th, 2025. Permanently closed The restaurant is closing in Muppets Courtyard to make way for the new Monsters, Inc. themed land. Eventually, the rest of Muppets Courtyard will also close, including Muppet*Vision 3D on June 8th, 2025 (last day to experience the show is June 7th). The New Plan of Action You Have to Follow in Disney’s Hollywood Studios Disney Springs Starbucks on the West Side The Starbucks on the West Side of Disney Springs is temporarily closed for refurbishment. It closed on March 3rd, and it is expected to reopen in mid-summer. Starbucks is currently closed Have no fear, though — you can still get your Starbucks fix in Disney Springs! Head over to the Disney Springs Marketplace location, which will be open during the refurbishment. Caffeine headaches are not allowed in Disney Springs! Forget The Park Ticket! 2 Limited Time Drinks Are Available NOW At Disney Springs Winter Summerland Miniature Golf Alright, it is only kind of closing, but we wanted to make sure you were aware! From April 28th until June 16th, 2025, Winter Summerland Miniature Golf will be undergoing refurbishment. However, even though it will be getting refurbished, you can still stop by to play a round of golf. Only ONE course will be open at a time during the refurbishment, so you won’t have your choice of The Summer or The Winter Course; it will just be whichever one is open. Winter Summerland Mini Golf As well, Winter Summerland won’t be taking reservations during this time. If you are looking to play a round, you will just head over to the course as a walk-up. You can also head over to Fantasia Gardens and Fairways Miniature Golf if you are looking for even more mini golf fun. Disney World Hotels Jellyrolls — Disney’s BoardWalk Jellyrolls at Disney’s BoardWalk officially closed on April 19th, 2025. This entertainment venue has provided our team with countless memories, and we know many others are also sad to see it close. Jellyrolls had its final farewell performance on April 19th and closed its doors forever on Disney’s BoardWalk. Jellyrolls However, this isn’t the end for Jellyrolls, as the bar has said they are “making a move.” We don’t know many details about that move yet, but we will keep you updated. Stormalong Bay and Hurricane Hanna’s– Disney’s Yacht and Beach Club Resorts Stormalong Bay is the shared pool between Disney’s Yacht and Beach Club Resorts. It features a beach, a lazy river, a large pool, and an exciting pirate ship slide! When we stopped by recently, we noticed that the pool had been filled back up with water. We are getting closer to its reopening. Yay for water! This pool area will be closed until June for refurbishment. While it’s closed, hotel guests can use the Tidal (Beach Club), Admiral (Yacht Club), and Dunes Cove (Beach Club) leisure pools. Hurricane Hanna’s, the pool bar at Stormalong Bay, will also be closed during the refurbishment. 8. Heading to Disney World in June? Magic Kingdom It’s summer break for many people, and that means that Disney World is often just a little bit more crowded. And what happens when the parks get crowded? Well, prices go up! That’s why we’ve rounded up the Lightning Lane options under $20 in June. Magic Kingdom If you’re looking to buy Lightning Lane Multi Pass in Magic Kingdom, you’ll unfortunately be paying more than $20 per person every day in June. However, you CAN get the Lightning Lane Single Passes for less than that threshold on select dates. Lightning Lane The Lightning Lane Single Pass for Seven Dwarfs Mine Train is less than $20 every day of the month (that pricing has already been released for). Most days, the price varies from $11-$13 per person. Seven Dwarfs Mine Train Lightning Lane For TRON Lightcycle / Run, you can get the Single Pass for $19 per person on June 9th-12th, as well as June 25th. Prices haven’t yet been released for the entire month. EPCOT In EPCOT, you can actually purchase Lightning Lane Multi Pass for less than $20 on a few select dates. It’s $19 per person on June 9th-12th and June 25th. Cosmic Rewind queue Lightning Lane Single Passes are available for less than $20 per person for Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind every day of the month. Typically, prices vary from $16-$18 per person for this ride in June. Hollywood Studios Hollywood Studios is the park where you’ll probably be out of luck. Multi Pass is more than $20 per person for every day that prices have been released, and the Single Pass price for Rise of the Resistance ranges from $20-$22 per person throughout the month. Rise of the Resistance Hollywood Studios is home to some of the most popular rides in Disney World — many of which have very long wait times on a regular basis. That’s why the prices here tend to be on the high end. Animal Kingdom Over in Animal Kingdom, Lightning Lane Multi Pass is less than $20 per person on most days. The only days where it’s MORE than $20 per person are the week of June 15th-23rd. Lightning Lane at Expedition Everest And over at Flight of Passage, the Single Pass option is less than $20 per person every day of the month. It looks to be ranging between $15-$17 per person in the month of June. How Lightning Lanes Work And if you’re heading to the parks soon and want to know how Lightning Lanes work, here’s a little breakdown. Lightning Lane Multi Pass allows you entry to most of the physical Lightning Lane entrances in the park. You’ll need to purchase it through the My Disney Experience app for whichever park you’re visiting. Lightning Lane Disney Resort guests can purchase Lightning Lane Multi Pass and book their first three Lightning Lane return times up to 7 days before their trip. If you’re staying off-site, you can book up to 3 days in advance. Once you scan into one of those Lightning Lanes in the park on the day of your visit, you can start booking more — holding 3 reservations at a time all day long. Haunted Mansion Lightning Lane Lightning Lane Single Pass can be purchased on the same schedule as Multi Pass, but this option is only available for one or two rides in each park — typically the most popular rides. Seven Dwarfs Mine Train, TRON Lightcycle / Run, Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind, Rise of the Resistance, and Flight of Passage all have Lightning Lane access through Single Pass. For these rides, you pay one fee to use the Lightning Lane entrance for those rides specifically, and you’ll book a return time when you purchase. Tron virtual queue sign For the bougie guests, you can purchase Lightning Lane Premier Pass. This option is $129-$449 per person, per day, and gives you one-time access to every Lightning Lane in the park you purchase it for, WITHOUT selecting return times. If you prefer to go with the flow instead of scheduling your day, this may be worth the cost for you. 9. Who’s ready to be terrified? Universal Orlando Halloween Horror Nights It might not be Halloween season yet, but tickets are officially on sale for Halloween Horror Nights in Universal Orlando. We’ve also learned a few details about what we can expect at this year’s event, and horror fans have EVERY reason to be excited. So let’s break down EVERYTHING we’ve learned so far about Halloween Horror Nights in 2025. For those who are unfamiliar with Halloween Horror Nights, it’s a separate ticketed event that happens at Universal Studios Florida in Universal Orlando. During the event, you’ll have access to special haunted house walkthroughs, scare zones, spooky entertainment, scare zones, special food and drinks, and more. Dates and Ticket Prices Halloween Horror Nights happens on select nights from August 29th through November 2nd. Single-night ticket prices start at $82.99 per person for a single-night ticket and range up to $122.99. 2025 Halloween Horror Nights Tickets are on sale now, so if you’re interested in attending, you might want to jump on those ASAP. This is a VERY popular event and could be even more popular this year because of the opening of Epic Universe, which will bring a lot of folks to Universal Orlando who might not be there otherwise (and want a ticket to the Halloween event, too). Haunted Houses This year’s event will feature ten walkthrough haunted houses/attractions themed to some of your favorite movies and TV shows. So far, two houses have been confirmed: Fallout, based on the popular video game franchise and hit Amazon series, and Five Nights at Freddy’s. In the Fallout house, you’ll travel into the vaults and have to escape from raiders with Lucy (from the TV show) at your side. ©Universal Then you’ll head into the Wasteland and confront the bounty hunter, The Ghoul (wait…do people think he’s scary? He’s so cool!). You’ll also come face-to-face with the Brotherhood of Steel’s Maximus and get to see T-60 power armor (okay, speaking of cool…). Universal will announce the other haunted houses at a later date. Scare Zones In addition to the 10 haunted houses, Halloween Horror Nights will also have scare zones, where you’ll face scare actors “on the prowl.” You’ll find streets of Universal Studios Florida transformed into spooky areas with creatures and monsters sure to frighten you. Scare Zone at Halloween Horror Nights The idea is to create a real-life nightmare experience for visitors, so needless to say, Halloween Horror Nights is not for the faint of heart. Live entertainment If that wasn’t enough, there will also be “outrageous” live entertainment. Remember those dancing M3GAN dancers from a few years ago? In addition to performances like that, you’ll also see other acts throughout the evening that might just blow your mind. The entertainment is a great way to spend the evening if you don’t want to deal with the scares of the haunted houses (or the lines they always pull). Rides Halloween Horror Nights is also an excellent time to take advantage of short ride lines while everyone else is busy with all the spooky goings-on, although it might be a waste of a ticket if that’s ALL you do during the event. You can ride attractions while everyone else is standing in line for the haunted houses However, you can enjoy most rides in Universal Studios Florida during the event. Food and Drinks Okay, so here’s our FAVORITE part of Halloween Horror Nights. Universal gets super creative with the food and drinks for the event. The Mini Stay-Puft S’more, for example, was basically a burned marshmallow version of, well, the big marshmallow dude in Ghostbusters (pretty epic, we think). Gotta’ make time to eat (HHN 2024) You’ll find blood-colored drinks, black desserts, and so much more. Merchandise You’ll also find a ton of Halloween Horror Nights merchandise, including spooky merchandise you won’t see anywhere else. That includes some fun popcorn buckets for those of you who like collectibles. ©Universal Of course, if you attend the event, you have to make time to visit The Tribute Store, which will not only have movie and TV props on display, but a wide collection of fun, scary goodies for you to buy. We’ll be keeping an eye out for more details about Halloween Horror Nights, so stay tuned to DFB for more. 13. When it comes to dining at Disney World, you’ve got a TON of options. There are quick and easy options, middle-of-the-road and comforting options, and there are even upscale and luxurious options. Today, we are headed over to a signature dining experience at Disney World, and we are taking you with us! Disney’s Animal Kingdom We recently stopped by Tiffins Restaurant at Disney’s Animal Kingdom to revisit this favorite, and now we’re bringing you our FULL review. Is this restaurant still worth a stop, or do the prices finally outweigh the experience? Find out here! Atmosphere Tiffins is a Fine/Signature Dining option in Disney’s Animal Kingdom. It is located on Discovery Island, and it seeks to take you on a “culinary expedition of international cuisine at [a] restaurant inspired by exploration and adventure.” The restaurant is inspired by travel, and you will find beautiful artwork throughout the restaurant celebrating exploration. Much of the artwork hanging in this restaurant also inspired the creation of Animal Kingdom. It’s almost like a museum The restaurant features three dining rooms, also called galleries. Each gallery features different exhibits and artwork centering around a theme. You will find an Asia-themed room called the Trek Gallery, an African-themed room called the Safari Gallery, and a room covered in animal art called the Grand Gallery. Servers are trained to tell you about the art displayed in the restaurant, so don’t be afraid to ask about the art. Your server can tell you more about the art Much of the art inside the restaurant was inspired by drawings and field notes from Imagineers who helped to design Animal Kingdom. In fact, all the artwork in the Grand Gallery features animals that can be found somewhere in Animal Kingdom. There is so much to explore inside the restaurant, so definitely plan for some additional time to meander through the galleries. Be sure to take a look around the restaurant While Tiffins is considered a signature dining experience, it has a more relaxed atmosphere than you might find at other signature dining locations. The dining areas are on the darker side, as the main focus is on the artwork on the walls. Seating is tables and chairs, with some booth seating available. Seating At the end of your meal, you’re given an art print of a sketch by Imagineer Joe Rohde. It’s like a sophisticated version of the signed postcard you get at the end of character meals. Joe Rohde sketch print Now that we have explored the restaurant a bit, let’s take a look at the menu! Menu We stopped by Tiffins at lunchtime, so let’s take a look at what’s on the menu. Starting off with various appetizers including Tiffins Signature Bread Service, Korean Barbecue Mushroom Bao Buns, and Charred Octopus. There are also a variety of main courses including Tiffins Signature Burger Prix Fixe, Butter Chicken, Oaxacan Pork Duo, and Whole-fried Fish. You can also choose from some desserts, including the Harvest Maple Cheesecake and Sweet Mango Sticky Rice. The menu There are also options for the kids, including kids’ appetizers and create-your-own entrees. ©Disney You can also get a kids’ Specialty Character Drink. ©Disney In addition to all the food options, there are also LOTS of drink options, starting off with a coffee and loose leaf tea selection. There are also non-alcoholic beverages such as the Zingiber Fizzle, Hibiscus Henna, and Kiama Mamma. Tiffins also offers a variety of specialty cocktails such as the Tempting Tigress and Spice Trader Classic. You’ll also find a variety of beer and wine. Drinks Now that we have covered the menu, let’s take a look at what we got to eat and drink! Eats For appetizers, we grabbed the Pineapple-glazed Pork Belly for $15. This is pineapple-glazed pork belly with guajillo chili sauce, chicharrónes, and spice-pickled vegetable slaw. The pork belly almost tasted like there was a coffee coating on it because we got that hint of flavor. It had a great char on the outside, but was still tender. It was cooked perfectly. Pineapple-glazed Pork Belly The chicharrónes added a nice crunch to the dish, although it would probably be difficult to eat with the pork belly. Overall, this was a winner for us. Perfectly cooked Of course, we also had to grab one of our favorites: Tiffins Signature Bread Service. You can get this for $18, and it features Thai red curry milk bread, Pão de Queijo, papadam, coconut-curry sauce, guava sauce, and ginger-pear chutney. We’ve talked about this bread service a lot. The guava sauce is nice and sweet with a strong guava flavor. The Pão de Queijo, aka cheese bread, works surprisingly well with it for a little sweet and savory action. This was probably our favorite bread and dip. Tiffins Signature Bread Service The papadam is crunchy with bits of seeds in it, and it’s more like a chip than bread. The ginger-pear chutney was bright with some nice herbiness, as well as chunky and even a little crispy. The Thai curry milk bread was fluffy and sweeter than the other breads (don’t worry, that curry flavor isn’t too hot). The coconut curry sauce is creamy and VERY heavy on the coconut flavor. We always enjoy this bread service, but if we had a choice, we’d get the bread service at Sanaa over this every time. But, you know, bread service is always a big win for us, regardless. Not our favorite bread service, but still good For our main courses, we grabbed the Oaxacan Pork Duo, which costs $48. It is grilled pork chop, salsa macha, plantain-chipotle sauce, fresh corn tamal, smoked pork shoulder, salsa verde, and cabbage slaw. We found the pork to be a little chewy, but that didn’t make it less enjoyable. The spices were nice and it had a good sear and smoky flavor, but was still juicy on the inside. Also, that plantain-chipotle sauce worked SO well with the meat. It didn’t have any heat, but it was a nice balance to the pork chop. Oaxacan Pork Duo The slaw is tangy and acidic and has a great crunch. We loved that because who loves a soggy slaw? The tamal was sweet with a soft texture that’s moist on the inside with nice, full kernels of corn. YES. There was also the pulled pork shoulder on top that was nice and tender. Honestly, the tamal was our favorite part of this dish! We loved the tamal We also got the Moroccan Short Rib Tagine for $54. This dish features turmeric-scented couscous, golden raisins, grilled artichokes, roasted carrots, and marcona almonds. The short rib is so tender that it cuts like buttAH. It’s very fatty, so it’s nice and tender. It also has a nice char on the outside, but is still juicy on the inside. Moroccan Short Rib Tagine The couscous is on the sweeter side with a nice bite, but the flavor works with the meaty short rib. The carrots are very sweet, but not very tender. We found them crunchy, and almost too much so. The meat For dessert, we started with the Harvest Maple Cheesecake for $14. This dessert is maple cheesecake mousse with cherry gelée insert, molasses spice cake, molasses-chai ice cream, pecan crumble, poached pears, maple tuile, and cherry sauce. So this is NOT a true slice of cheesecake, but it turned out to be our favorite dessert that we tried here. The cheesecake is light, almost like a mousse. There’s also some cherry gelée in the middle with a nice tart and bright cherry flavor. Harvest Maple Cheesecake The cheesecake also has a nice maple flavor, but what we really loved was the chai ice cream. It’s refreshing and tastes just like chai. The pecan crumble added a nice crispiness and gave this dessert a nice fall vibe. The poached pears were tender and sweet, but we felt like they didn’t belong with the rest of the dessert. They were almost like a separate dessert. Inside the cheesecake Finally, we also tried the Champurrado Chocolate Bar, which costs $15. It is made with spiced chocolate ganache, Modelo Negra mousse, Dulce de Leche, passion fruit-lime sauce, and chili meringue. Hello, chocolate!!!! This is THE chocolate dessert for chocolate lovers. There is a slight hint of chili taste to it, but it’s not spicy, so don’t worry about that. It’s just full of rich chocolate flavor. We’re talking DECADENT. Champurrado Chocolate Bar The bottom part of the dessert is a ganache that is fudge-like, but a little lighter. Then you’ve got Dulce de Leche swirls on top that are nice and creamy and balance out the chocolate nicely. You also get a crisp piece of chocolate on top. VERY dense and rich This dessert is so rich, you might want to share, so plan accordingly. Nosh or Not This Disney World restaurant is a must-visit if… You’ve got time. This is NOT a restaurant you just pop into for a quick meal. Dining here is for those who want a slower, more relaxed meal and aren’t worried about making it to their next Lightning Lane. You want something different. Okay, granted that Disney’s Animal Kingdom has some pretty good counter service, but if you’re tired of typical theme park food, this is a restaurant that will make you forget you’re in a theme park. You want to learn more about Animal Kingdom. The artwork here, as well as what you learn from the servers, is a walk through Animal Kingdom history you won’t find anywhere else. You should skip this Disney World spot if… It’s your first visit to Animal Kingdom. A meal at Tiffins takes some time, so you will lose valuable park time. You want a lighter meal. All the food we had at Tiffins is very heavy, which might be a bit much if you’re not looking for a heavy meal or if it’s a hot day out. You’ve got picky eaters in your party. Although there are some safer kids’ meal choices at Tiffins, this is a restaurant for more adventurous diners. Full spread Overall What makes Tiffins so surprising is that it’s smack dab in the middle of a theme park, but inside, you wouldn’t know that from the atmosphere and the food. It’s also cool and quiet, and everything you might want if you’re looking to escape the theme park without actually leaving the theme park. In the meantime, we’ll be on the lookout for more restaurant updates from Disney World and beyond. Make sure you stay tuned to the Disney Food Blog for the latest Disney news and more! 14. It’s a great time to be a fan of Disney Villains. Not only is a whole NEW Disney Villains land coming to Magic Kingdom, but a brand new Villains-themed show, Disney Villains: Unfairly Ever After, has made its debut in Disney’s Hollywood Studios. Hollywood Scoops To further celebrate all things villainous in Hollywood Studios, Hollywood Scoops is offering some new snacks, including the Hades Ice Cream Float and the Annual Passholder-exclusive Cruella Ice Cream Sundae. We’ve already tried both of those, but we’re back to try the Maleficent Cone…so did it measure up to the Mistress of Evil? The Maleficent Cone is Butter Pecan Ice Cream topped with Red Sugar and Chocolate Horns served in a Lavender Waffle Cone dipped in Green Sugar for $8.40. Before we even get into the actual review of this thing, we’re going to warn you, it melts…FAST. We had an issue with it turning to liquid by the time we got to the cone, and we were practically wearing most of this snack by the time we were done. One of the horns also fell off. So you’ve been warned. But hey, it looks pretty cool before it completely turns to goo. Maleficent Cone The super-creamy ice cream is really good, with chunks of pecan in it. It’s got a sweet flavor that almost reminds us of toffee. It’s a GREAT flavor. The horns are milk chocolate (which we love), plus the red sugar adds just a hint of sweetness and a bit of crunch. We love this ice cream, but think maybe we’d prefer it in a bowl. Also, one of the horns fell off as the ice cream melted. MMMEEELLLTTTIIINNNG Okay, in terms of the cone, it has white chocolate and green sprinkles along the edges, which is nice. It’s got a light lavender taste, which is a little different. But it’s hard to enjoy the entire snack because you’ll end up a dripping mess by the time you get to tasting the cone by itself. Lavender cone Overall, it’s a fun snack, but if it’s even remotely warm out, you might end up with a real mess on your hands, your face, and your clothes. WE KNOW – there are SO many great snacks at Disney World! How do you choose (we don’t want to choose but will blow our budget on Day 1 otherwise)? We’ve got you covered! 16. It’s no secret that visiting Disney World can be expensive, and that’s even after you’ve paid for your hotel, tickets, and airfare. Raglan Road Our favorite thing in Disney World, the FOOD, can also whittle down your budget, so we’re always doing our best to help you budget for food, as well as get the best deals on food while you’re visiting Disney World. Well, if you have plans to visit Disney Springs this summer, you can get a GREAT lunch for under $20 at Raglan Road. For the past few years, Raglan Road has brought a special Summer Lovin’ lunch menu to Disney Springs that includes some tasty bites for affordable prices. You can choose from select appetizers for $10 each and select entrees for $20 each. There’s also a special cocktails menu with $10 specials. We recently got to attend a preview of the menu to check it out. Summer Lovin’ Menu For $10 each, you KNOW we had to start with a cocktail. We ordered the Wild Rosy, made with Glendalough Wild Rose Gin, Rockeys Botanical Liqueur, homemade rosemary syrup, lemon Pellegrino, and Fever Tree premium tonic. The rosemary flavor is what you get the most of, both on the nose and at the top of the mouth. There’s a little bubbliness, but the drink is mostly smooth. It’s bright and acidic, but not in a sour way. You also get a lot of the grapefruit flavor (which it is topped with). This is pretty much the perfect summer drink. Wild Rosy We also tried the Rosemary & Maple Whisky Sour, made with Dickel 12 Tennessee Whisky, crushed rosemary, dark maple syrup, Fees foam, and lemon sour. This drink is sweet, so it’s good for those just starting out with whisky. It’s almost like a lemonade, but with a dark sugar. The flavors are mild, but they’re still there. Of the two drinks we tried, this was our favorite. Rosemary and Maple Whisky Sour The summer appetizer menu also features a Soul Soup and Salad Combo, which is made fresh daily. The soup we tried was White Onion and Potato Parmesan Soup. It’s almost like a block of parmesan because the cheese is the predominant flavor, although you do get onion and potato in the after bite. It’s a little grainy, but it’s a good soup texture. White Onion and Potato Parmesan Soup The salad included tomatoes, spring mix, and cucumber with ranch dressing. This is a nice starter, but it’s basic. The dressing is creamy and we really got a lot of green onion flavor. Salad One of the selected entrees is the Bang Bang Chicken, which is buttermilk marinated fried chicken with a spicy bang bang mayonnaise. Yeah, that mayo is SUPER spicy — you can see chilis in it. If you love spicy, this could be a MUST for you. The fried chicken is nice, too. It’s served with some nice crispy shoestring fries on top. Bang Bang Chicken So we already know the Fish and Chips here are good, but grabbed them again…you know, for science. They’re made with premium north Atlantic cod filet and are beer battered and served with chips and fresh tartar sauce. The fish is super flaky with a nice crunch and you get HUGE filets. It’s also perfectly salted. The tartar sauce is nice and creamy (and not chunky) and pairs great with the fries and fish. There are also hints of lemon and vinegar flavors in it. The fries are those nice thick chips when lots of potato inside. Fish and Chips You can also get the OMG Burger, which is a Dry aged prime short rib and brisket beef burger, Irish bacon, Dubliner Irish cheddar, crispy fried onions with house made BBQ sauce. The barbecue sauce is nice and thick and tastes homemade. We also liked the crunch of the onions and even wanted more. The burger was cooked to a true medium rare (and it’s cooked to order). The bun doesn’t get soggy and holds up even with all those toppings. The brisket just makes it that much meatier. YUM. OMG Burger Overall, the Summer Lovin’ menu offers a great deal for lunch in Disney Springs. You’ll be able to grab it now through September from 11 AM to 3 PM every day. The regular Raglan Road menu will also still be available during that time. Don’t want to go through all of the stress of booking your Disney World trip alone? 18. Disney World changing from FastPass to Genie+ to Lightning Lane Single Pass and Lightning Lane Multi Pass has certainly been a trip, and we know how confusing it can all be when you’re planning a trip. Lightning Lanes! However, once you get the hang of it, you really can skip tons of lines during the day (depending on crowd levels and Lightning Lane availability, which often go hand in hand with each other), BUT we’re also the first ones to admit that in certain situations, Lightning Lanes is our complete and total enemy. When You’re Going with The Flow Listen, we love that non-Disney World hotel guests can plan up to 3 Lightning Lane Multi Pass reservations (and up to two Lightning Lane Single Pass reservations) up to three days in advance of their trip, and it’s even better than Disney World hotel guests can make those same reservations up to seven days in advance. Lightning Lane at Peter Pan’s Flight However, if you’re semi-local to the parks, or you’re in town and hopping into the park for a quick visit one day and want to skip some lines, Lightning Lane is often NOT friendly to those looking to make last-minute reservations, ESPECIALLY on busier days/times of year. While you’ll likely be able to find reservations for filler attractions like Magic Carpets of Aladdin or Kali River Rapids, those more popular attractions around the parks? Yep, during busy times of year, those sometimes book up 24 hours before your trip even begins. Pirates of the Caribbean Lightning Lane Additionally, maybe you’re stepping into the parks for the first time at noon and only THEN realize how busy it is, and that you’d like to skip some lines. By that point, the park may have already been open for 2-3 hours, and other guests who didn’t purchase Lightning Lane ahead of time but got to the park at rope drop and decided to get it then? Yeah, they’re part of the reason your only time for Toy Story Mania isn’t until 7PM. Kali River Rapids Lightning Lane sign in Disney’s Animal Kingdom Bottom line, it’s a system that really prioritizes planning ahead of time, and if that fits with your vacation, amazing! If it doesn’t, however…you’ll likely be very frustrated. Zig Zagging If you’re trying to get the BEST Lightning Lane return times, no matter what park you’re in, you’re likely in for some pretty serious zig-zagging all over the park. The more attractions there are to visit (ahem, Magic Kingdom), the more you’ll likely have to jump around IF you’re trying to get the soonest times. Mad Tea Party Lightning Lane Now, if you’d prefer to not zig zag all over and move through the park in a circle, you totally can, but just know you may be walking into Fantasyland with a Lightning Lane for “it’s a small world” in 5 minutes, but then you don’t have Dumbo for another hour, and Peter Pan’s Flight is four hours away at 8 PM. A lot of backtracking may be in your future as well, so keep that in mind when you’re booking those options throughout the day. Cushioning Around Dining Reservations If you’ve gotten yourself any Advanced Dining Reservations during your day, it’s important to know that the My Disney Experience app won’t let you book any Lightning Lanes at your reservation time, and we’ve found that they give you WAY too large of a cushion time. Tower of Terror We get it, they don’t want us to miss our dining reservation, and we appreciate that! But the window of time is a little too large for our liking, and we wish Disney would trust us to manage our time without them needing to prevent us from booking what we’d like. We’ve found that if we have a 12 PM reservation, we can’t book a 12 PM Lightning Lane (although you do have an hour to return…plus a 15ish minute grace period…and we’ve tested the unspoken rule that SOMETIMES you can actually be just under three hours late to a Lightning Lane return time and still be let in, but that’s VERY risky!), but we can book one for 12:20 or 12:30. 20. Disney World, we need to have a word. Disney’s Hollywood Studios Now, we’ve already made it perfectly clear that we don’t like it when you take our favorite snacks away. We’re still waiting for some justice for the old waffles at Sleepy Hollow Refreshments in Magic Kingdom. We do appreciate that you brought back the hush puppies at Columbia Harbour House, though. But now, well, we’re being forced to say goodbye to ANOTHER favorite treat in Disney’s Hollywood Studios…and we are NOT okay. The snack in question is the Toffee and Coconut Blondie, which was most recently available at Catalina Eddie’s in Hollywood Studios. This snack actually began life as the Glimmer and Shimmer Blondie, which was introduced during Disney World’s 50th Anniversary Celebration, which started in 2021 and ran through 2023. It was originally available at Fairfax Fare and looked like this. Glimmer and Shimmer Blondie We were worried that this snack would disappear once the celebration ended, but it was renamed as the Toffee and Coconut Blondie, but its description was basically the same: gooey toffee and toasted coconut blondie topped with salted caramel buttercream. It moved around a bit in Hollywood Studios and was most recently spotted at Catalina Eddie’s. This dessert is pretty much our SOLE reason for visiting Catalina Eddie’s. The Toffee and Coconut Blondie at Catalina Eddie’s Well, now, we’re sad to report that the Toffee and Coconut Blondie has officially been removed from the menu at Catalina Eddie’s — and it isn’t available anywhere else, so it seems our favorite snack has finally met its end. A Cast Member did tell us that this was a seasonal item, though (that’s news to us!), so maybe it will turn up again at some point? Maybe if we beg hard enough (this is us, Disney). ©Disney Don’t want to go through all of the stress of booking your Disney World trip alone? Reach out to our friends at Small World Vacations! 21. With everything going on in Magic Kingdom right now, it’s hard to keep up with progress. Buzz Lightyear’s Space Ranger Spin Over in Frontierland, Disney is getting ready to permanently close Rivers of America and Tom Sawyer Island to start work on Piston Peak, a new Cars expansion. Big Thunder Mountain Railroad is currently getting a massive refurbishment. In Tomorrowland, Astro Orbiter is getting put back together after a refurbishment. Meanwhile, another ride in Tomorrowland, Buzz Lightyear’s Space Ranger Spin will close in August for a big refurbishment, and we now have a permit that hints at some of the work to be done at this attraction. According to a new permit filed with Orange County, Florida, Walt Disney Imagineering has contracted Elite A/V System Inc. to do “electrical work” on Buzz Lightyear’s Space Ranger Spin. This is part of the major refurbishment the ride will soon undergo. ©Orange County, Florida This electrical work is part of a larger refurbishment that will add a new show scene to the ride, as well as update the ride vehicles and add additional game enhancements. The ride will also introduce a new character, a robot named Buddy, who will introduce you to the ride and how it works. ©Disney The ride vehicles will also get a new design in new colors inspired by Buzz Lightyear and Star Command. Each vehicle will also get a video monitor with real-time scoring updates. The blasters will also be updated so you can hold them in your hand (rather than have them bolted to the vehicles) and will have an always-on laser. Even better, each blaster in the car will have a different color so you can tell who is aiming at what. ©Disney These changes are sure to make the ride a little more enjoyable for everyone, so we’ll be looking forward to seeing them when the ride reopens in 2026. 23. I go to Disney World for my job, and I’ve tried quite a few park bags over the years. Loungefly bags in EPCOT From big backpacks to small crossbody bags, I’ve definitely got some preferences. But a few styles in particular have stood the test of time for me. I’m sharing the bags that I swear by in Disney World! DISCLOSURE: This post may contain affiliate links, meaning when you click the links and make a purchase, we receive a commission. Get the classic Loungefly! ©Amazon Starting off this list, we’ve got a classic Loungefly Disney Minnie Mouse Black Sequin Women’s Backpack. The majority of the time, when I visit the parks solo, I carry a Loungefly. They hold just enough supplies to last me through the day, including items like a water bottle, a small first aid kit, a wallet, and more. Plus, you can get them in all kinds of fun designs to match your outfit or the park you’re visiting! View on Amazon This Vera Bradley bag is a great alternative option! ©Amazon When I’m in the mood for a small backpack but I want a liiittle more space, I go for the Vera Bradley Cotton Small Bradbury Backpack instead. This bag is a bit more square, so it can fit more tall items than my Loungefly usually can (like if I need two water bottles or an umbrella). It has a combination of zipper pockets and slip pockets for storage, and you can buy it in a wide variety of fun patterns. View on Amazon I love this backpack for heavy days or flights ©Amazon What about those days when a small bag just isn’t going to cut it? Well, in that case, I pull out the Coowoz Large Travel Backpack from Amazon. This bag has a TON of built-in organization, with pockets of all types and sizes — it even has a shoe compartment. This one is my go-to for a personal item when I fly (check to make sure it fits your airline’s sizing requirements), and I could probably pack for a whole weekend with just this bag. View on Amazon Or, you can grab this belt bag ©Amazon If you tend to pack light, then I recommend this Telena Belt Bag. It’s the most cost-effective of the bunch. It has zipper pockets as well as interior storage, alongside an adjustable crossbody strap. You can grab it in a bunch of different colors, and it’ll be easy to take on rides since it’s small and out of the way. Plus, the real benefit is it doesn’t make your back sweaty the way a backpack does! View on Amazon Don’t forget one for the parents! ©Amazon I recently had a baby, which means my park visits are looking a little different nowadays (I’ve even had to temporarily retire some of the other bags in favor of packing heavy during this stage of my life). And when I head to the parks with my husband and son, I LOVE using this RUVALINO Diaper Bag Backpack. It has SO many pockets with built-in organization, including a pacifier pouch, a removable diaper changing pad, and an insulated pocket for your snacks. This thing has been a lifesaver. 24. BIG news, people! When one door closes, another one opens, and that’s exactly what’s happening over at Disney’s Hollywood Studios. Let’s start with the bad news: Muppets Courtyard is closed as of June 8th, 2025. The good news? The Muppets are heading over to a NEW location! Muppet Courtyard Where are the Muppets going? To Sunset Boulevard! The Muppets will be taking over the Rock ‘n’ Roller Coaster attraction with new music, a new design, and lots of Muppet mayhem. Now, Disney just announced the CLOSING TIMELINE for Rock ‘n’ Roller Coaster, and it’s sooner than you might think. Kermit himself confirmed the news in a new message. Rock ‘n’ Roller Coaster Starring Aerosmith will remain open through all of 2025. We can’t WAIT to learn more about this ride overhaul. ©Disney We’re still waiting for more details about this new attraction, but Disney said that the Muppets will be teaming up with some of “music’s biggest stars for a rockin’ music festival.” Does this mean we could hear some classic rock music? Are the Muppets collabing with our favorite artists? Will Dr. Teeth and the Electric Mayhem host a headlining performance? WE HAVE SO MANY QUESTIONS!
