Can you feel the Christmas cheer in the air? It may only be the middle of summer, but Disney is already getting us hyped for the holiday season at Disney World. Disney recently revealed some new details about Jollywood Nights in Disney’s Hollywood Studios and the EPCOT International Festival of the Holidays. Mickey’s Once Upon A Christmas Parade We also got more information about Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party in Magic Kingdom! Disney officially announced the dates for this popular Christmas party and also confirmed a price increase. But that is not all! We also got a sneak peek at some of the NEW merchandise coming to this year’s party. Let’s take a look! Disney recently released NEW details about what to expect at this year’s Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party, and it included a sneak peek at the NEW spirit jersey that will be available for purchase! Each year, Disney designs exclusive merchandise only available for party attendees, and we are loving the new spirit jersey. ©Disney There is still more to come as far as merchandise goes, but we are really enjoying the design so far. Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party is a separately ticketed event taking place on select nights from November 7th through December 21st, 2025. 2024 Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party During the event you can enjoy exclusive entertainment like Mickey’s Once Upon a Christmastime Parade, Mickey’s Most Merriest Celebration Show, Minnie’s Wonderful Christmastime Fireworks, and more. You will be able to experience select attractions with lower wait times, and select attractions also offer special holiday overlays including Space Mountain and Tomorrowland Speedway. Plus, you can grab complimentary cookies and hot cocoa at select locations throughout the park. Minnie’s Wonderful Christmastime Fireworks There will also be themed snacks and drinks available for purchase in addition to the exclusive merchandise. Tickets for Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party will go on sale on July 16th for those staying at select Disney World hotels, Walt Disney World Swan and Dolphin Hotels, and Shades of Green. Disney just dropped a TON of news about the 2025 holiday season, and we can’t lie — we’re ready to deck the halls and trim the trees already. 2024 Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party One of our favorite parts of the holidays at Disney World is Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party at Magic Kingdom. This separately ticketed event is full of festive entertainment, rides, characters, food, and a whole lot more — and now we know everything that’s returning this year! Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party is returning in 2025, and we’re sharing everything Disney has confirmed so far about this festive party, so let’s get into it! Dates The party takes place in Magic Kingdom on select nights from Friday, November 7th to Sunday, December 21st, 2025. The full list of party nights can be found below: November: 7th, 10th, 11th, 13th, 14th, 16th, 18th, 20th, 21st, 25th, 26th, 28th, 30th December: 2nd, 4th, 5th, 7th, 9th, 11th, 12th, 14th, 16th, 18th, 19th, 21st Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party 2023 That’s 25 opportunities to attend Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party! Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party officially begins at 7 PM and ends at midnight; however, party guests can enter the Magic Kingdom at 4 PM. Tickets Tickets for Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party are on sale as of July 16th, 2025, for those staying at select Disney World hotels, Walt Disney World Swan and Dolphin Hotels, and Shades of Green. For all other guests, tickets are on sale as of July 22nd, 2025. Welcome to Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party! Adult ticket prices vary by date and will range from $169 to $229 in 2025 (Children’s age 3 to 9 are $10 less than Adult prices per night) — date-specific pricing has not yet been released! Annual Passholders and Disney Vacation Club Members can save $10 per ticket to Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party on select event nights. Entertainment There are SO many different entertainment offerings at Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party — from characters to parades to shows and more. Minnie’s Wonderful Christmastime Fireworks is a holiday-themed fireworks display that includes projections, special effects, special lighting, fireworks, and Disney characters. The fireworks are shown once each party night. Minnie’s Wonderful Christmastime Fireworks Mickey’s Once Upon A Christmastime Parade is another returning favorite. The parade is typically* offered twice nightly, first at 8:30 PM and again at 11 PM (we’ve found that the second parade is usually less crowded than the first). Parade times have not been confirmed for this year, so stay tuned for those details. Christmas time is here! Mickey’s Most Merriest Celebration is a show performed at the Cinderella Castle stage featuring beloved Disney pals and seasonal songs. It’s typically presented several times throughout the evening. Mickey’s Most Merriest Celebration Show Frozen Holiday Surprise brings Olaf and more than a hundred of his Snowgie siblings together with Anna, Elsa, and Kristoff to decorate the castle for the festivities. The show culminates with Elsa adding shimmering and sparkling touches, which “transform Cinderella Castle into a shimmering crystallized palace.” Frozen Holiday Surprise Be on the lookout for Disney characters in their holiday finery! You’ll often find some rare characters out and about during the event as well. While the full list of characters hasn’t been confirmed yet this year, you can typically find them listed along with their locations on the party map or the My Disney Experience app. Gingerbread men! You can also look forward to SNOW falling on Main Street, U.S.A., and Club Tinsel (A dance party at Rocketeer Plaza Stage in Tomorrowland), along with Disney Junior Jingle Jam (A dance party with Disney Junior characters at Cosmic Ray’s Starlight Cafe). One such event is coming up in August, and we’re expecting some significant Disney World news to be revealed then! Destination D23: A Journey Around the Worlds of Disney is an event exclusive for D23 Gold Members held at Disney’s Coronado Springs Resort from August 29th through the 31st, 2025. This event will offer participants the ability to “celebrate beloved moments and memories with behind-the-scenes stories, and special guests and performances. Buckle in for a sneak peek at the company’s boundless future, be among the first to access exclusive shopping opportunities, and experience plenty of surprises at this fan-favorite event!” ©Disney This event is sure to be packed with Disney news relevant to the company’s theme park resorts all over the world — including Disney World! Hosted in Florida at Disney World, we expect some big bombshells to drop — and when it comes to the parks, we can think of a few projects that are just begging for some massive updates. ©Disney The new Monsters, Inc. Land in Disney’s Hollywood Studios recently received some new concept art as construction is now officially underway. We’d love to hear more about the land’s specifics, and, with the project making progress, Disney should be inclined to hype up the new land with more in-depth details — including highlights of the super-interesting hanging coaster! Monsters, Inc. Concept Art — Posted June 2025 in Hollywood Studios Over at Magic Kingdom, more specifics were announced regarding Piston Peak, a new Cars-themed area in Frontierland. This area is replacing the Rivers of America, which recently closed for good. This controversial project will see the inclusion of two new rides coming to the park, and we know Disney has been working tirelessly (pun intended) on the E-ticket attraction, specifically. We’re hoping to get more details on this high-speed, Radiator Springs Racers-like attraction at Destination D23! Piston Peak ©Disney Staying in Magic Kingdom, the new Villains Land was announced in 2024, but not much has been revealed since. Announced in August 2024 at the big D23 expo in Anaheim, California, this new land is still somewhat of a mystery. The land is said to feature two major attractions, along with new dining and shopping experiences that will be presented “on an incredibly twisted grand scale.” We’re hoping for more updates on this project and a closer look at what to expect. Villains Land ©Disney Finally, Disney’s Animal Kingdom is undergoing quite the change as we say goodbye to DinoLand U.S.A. in phases. The area is making way for the Tropical Americas-themed Pueblo Esperanza, which will offer a new Indiana Jones ride, an Encanto boat ride, and a carousel attraction. This land is expected to be completed by 2027, so we’re excited to hear more specifics about these new attractions, as well as more info on the kinds of offerings the land will boast once it opens. Walt Disney World has unwrapped dates and fresh details about two after-hours holiday events, Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party at Magic Kingdom and Disney Jollywood Nights at Disney’s Hollywood Studios theme park. Both are extra-ticket affairs with special entertainment programming, festive foods and access to select attractions and characters. And both have early November starts. Their tickets go on sale to the general public for on July 22. Jollywood Nights, entering its third year, features a glittery/glam theme with an emphasis on music and stage shows with characters, a couple of Muppets and “The Nightmare Before Christmas.” The 13 event dates are Nov. 8, 15, 17, 22, 24, 29 and Dec. 1, 6, 10, 13, 17, 20 and 22. Hours are 7:30 p.m. to 12:30 a.m., although park entry begins at 5:30 p.m. Ticket prices varies with date, ranging from $159 to $199 per person. New Jollywood features will include moving the Holiday Fiesta en la Calle street fair to the Coaster Courtyard, where Miguel from “Coco” will be stationed; a Backlot Express specialty menu; and fresh souvenir merchandise. The stage shows that debuted at Hollywood Studios last month — “Disney Villains: Unfairly Ever After” and “The Little Mermaid — A Musical Adventure” — will be available during the event. It may be the middle of summer, but Disney World has been wasting no time getting us all excited about the holiday season. 2024 EPCOT Festival of the Holidays We recently got some new details about this year’s Jollywood Nights in Disney’s Hollywood Studios, but we also got a lot of information about this year’s EPCOT Festival of the Holidays, including the dates for this year’s festival: November 28th through December 30th. Well, Disney also dropped some hints about some of the food we can expect to see at this year’s festival…and as you know, that’s one of our favorite things! One of the first food items that Disney teased was a very festive Holiday Funnel Cake. Now, all we got was a photo, so we can’t say that this will be 100% featured at the festival, but it sure does look tasty, doesn’t it? If this is an actual item at the festival, we’re guessing it will be available at the Funnel Cake Stand in American Adventure. ©Disney Disney did promise that this year’s Holiday Kitchens “will be serving up an amazing assortment of bites and beverages,” but a full list of those kitchen won’t be coming for a little while. However, Disney confirmed the return of the Holiday Cookie Stroll and teased the return of the Coffee-Mocha Cookie topped with Coffee-infused Buttercream, Cocoa Nibs, and Chocolate-covered Espresso Beans. Now this is a cookie that made our Best Of list last year, so we’re STOKED to see its return. Coffee Mocha Cookie And well, that’s it. Like we said, Disney was just teasing a few food items we’ll see at this year’s festival, but we’re hoping to get a few more details soon. As we approach the 70th anniversary of the Disneyland Resort, we want to honor our original dreamer who started it all, Walt Disney. His vision, imagination, and unmatched sense of wonder gave life to The Happiest Place on Earth. Join us as we journey through the resort to explore the places connected to Walt Disney and the legacy he has left for generations to come. Walt Disney’s early years in Marceline, Missouri Our journey begins on Main Street, U.S.A., which was partially inspired by Walt Disney’s memories of his boyhood hometown of Marceline, Missouri. While Walt Disney was born in Chicago, Illinois on December 5, 1901, it would be his years in Marceline that shaped his imagination and had a defining impact on Walt. When you step onto Main Street, U.S.A., you feel as though you stepped into another era in a small town. Walt’s family moved to Marceline in 1906, and he would later write that, “To tell the truth, more things of importance happened to me in Marceline than have happened since—or are likely to in the future.” Did you know? You can spot at least two nods to Marceline on Main Street, U.S.A. The first is at the entrance to the Main Street Cinema. Look for the ticket seller named Tilly and you’ll see her nametag says she is from Marceline, Missouri. Additionally, near the lockers by the Market House a sign reads “Hotel Marceline” in tribute to Walt’s boyhood hometown. Another iconic location you can explore on Main Street, U.S.A., to help transport you to Walt Disney’s youth is the Disneyland Railroad. The Atchison, Topeka & Santa Fe Railroad ran right through the heart of Marceline and is where Walt developed his passion for trains and is one of the inspirations behind the Disneyland Railroad. At the age of 15, Walt got a job as a news butcher for the Van Noyes Interstate News Company selling newspapers and food on the railroad. The attraction was originally known as the Santa Fe and Disneyland Railroad from 1955–1974 and changed to the current name, Disneyland Railroad, on October 1, 1974. While Walt recalled his time in the Midwest fondly, it was the promise of a bright future that called Walt to the west coast. Walt Disney would travel by train from Missouri to California to follow his dreams. Maybe we need to start thinking about our Halloween decorations for the year, because we found something you’re going to love! The Mickey light-up pumpkins are back once again at Costco, and they’re the perfect Halloween decoration! Have you seen them at your nearest Costco? Light-up Mickey pumpkin is here! They’re a pretty big decoration, sitting at 20 inches tall. Designed as a pumpkin Mickey head, with pumpkins as mouse ears, we can’t think of a better decoration for Disney Halloween fans. You can buy the pumpkin for $95, which is a little bit of an increase from its price last year. We NEED this! Did we mention that it also plays music? Give your house a little bit of a spooky ambience with the cute decoration. You can control the volume and put it on a six-hour timer. Disney Wish Very Merrytime Sailings ‘Tis the season for a Very Merrytime sailing leaving from Port Canaveral with stops at Bahamian destinations in Nassau, Castaway Cay, and Lookout Cay at Lighthouse Point. Here, guests can see that the decks have been, well, decked, inside the Grand Hall and beyond. It’s back! Jollywood Nights is coming back to Disney World, and we’re already planning our visit. From special foods to incredible entertainment, we can’t wait to dance the night away after-hours at Hollywood Studios. Jollywood Nights Jollywood Nights is a specialty ticketed event, and we’ve been poring over the numbers, and we hate to say it — it’s going to cost you more this year. In 2024, tickets ranged from $159 to $179, while in 2025, tickets range from $159 to $199. That’s a $20 price increase depending on the date of your visit! Santa Duffy The parties are running from November 8th to December 22nd on the following nights: November 8th, 15th, 17th, 22nd, 24th, 29th (Saturdays and Mondays) December 1st, 6th, 10th, 13th, 17th, 20th, 22nd Taco ‘bout a Holiday Cookie The most expensive dates are closest to Christmas and on the weekends. The first date for the season is also usually more expensive. For guests staying at select Disney World hotels, Walt Disney World Swan and Dolphin hotels, and Shades of Green as of July 16th. Everyone else can snatch tickets as of July 22nd. 2024 The Muppets hosted a Christmas show! Jollywood Nights is a relatively new after-hours event at Disney World, debuting in 2023.
