  3. If you’ve been wanting to snag a Disney World Annual Pass and become an official Passholder, you might want to grab your pass before September 30th. Disney World Annual Pass Disney recently announced a deal where you can get a free Disney Gift Card when you purchase a new Annual Pass, and when the promotion was originally announced, there wasn’t an end date. Disney officially confirmed the date when the offer ends, so you’ll want to get your pass soon. Now until September 30th, if you purchase a new Disney World Annual Pass, you can get a Disney Gift Card emailed to you for free. Annual Pass There are different amounts per type of pass: $100 — Disney Incredi-Pass $75 — Disney Sorcerer Pass (for Florida residents) $50 — Disney Pirate Pass (for Florida residents) $25 — Disney Pixie Pass (for Florida residents) The only catch? It needs to be a new pass, not a renewal. Something to keep in mind as well is that Annual Passes start when they’re activated, not when they’re purchased. Personally, I bought my Annual Pass months before I activated it, which was during my next visit to the parks. This tip is great if you’re planning on gifting an Annual Pass to someone for the holidays. Annual Passholder Card in early 2021 There are so many perks to being an Annual Passholder, beyond the ability to enter the parks when you want (barring blackout dates). You can get extra discounts on merchandise, dining, and have access to early previews for attractions or limited-time lounges. There’s also sometimes special treats only for Passholders. Cruella Ice Cream Sundae in Disney World only for Passholders Recently, there was a limited-time meet and greet at the Germany pavilion in EPCOT, where you got to meet Dopey. This was only for Passholders and an extra benefit on top of your pass. Exclusive Passholder Meet and Greet Let’s not forget about the magnets! This might seem silly to some, but trust us, Annual Passholders go crazy for these things. Every few months or so, Disney releases a new magnet that Passholders can pick up for free. We’ve seen characters like Maleficent, Crush, Stitch, and more. New Crush magnet If you want to become an Annual Passholder, now’s a perfect time. 5. Everybody loves Mickey & Minnie’s Runaway Railway at Disneyland! Mickey and Minnie’s Runaway Railway The popular ride in Mickey’s Toon Town is one of our favorite attractions at the park — it will have you singing “Nothing Can Stop Us Now” all day long. We ride it so much that we know everything about it, including this new ride rule. If you don’t want to be a rule-breaker the next time you ride this attraction, you might want to take a look at this! If you’re riding Mickey & Minnie’s Runaway Railway at Disneyland, you are no longer allowed to hold on to any loose items — yes, that includes cell phones. No Cell Phones That means you won’t be able to hold up your phone for photos and videos, if that’s what you like to do when going on attractions. Mickey & Minnie’s Runaway Railway Queue in Disneyland’s Toontown Trust us, you don’t want to be the person with their phone out when you’re not supposed to have it out. We’ve been on too many rides where other guests are breaking that rule, and Cast Members will cut the music and tell you to put your phone away over the speaker. It’s pretty embarrassing, and you don’t want to be that guest who’s ruining the experience for others. Mickey and Minnie’s Runaway Railway The ride isn’t like a Space Mountain or a Big Thunder Mountain; however, it does involve some jerkiness and sudden twists. The rule may have been put into place if they’ve experienced guests losing items like phones on the ride. Runaway Railway Losing your phone on a ride is never fun! If you think it’s easy for Cast Members to get your phone or other lost items back from this ride, think again. They will have to shut down the attraction to get your missing item, and it may be a while before you get it back. Nothing Can Stop Us Now! We’ve talked a lot about phones on the ride, but the same rule applies to all loose items. You won’t want to be wearing things like a hat or sunglasses on here! Come on in! Remember, be a rule-follower at Disney, not a rule-breaker! No one wants to be the person who’s ruining the experience for other guests who have paid a lot of money for that magical vacation. 6. If you’re a big fan of Frozen — or you have people in your group that love the Frozen movies — you’re probably making a beeline for the Norway Pavilion the minute you step foot in EPCOT, right? Frozen Ever After After all, one of the most popular rides to rope drop in EPCOT is Frozen Ever After, which is a retelling of the story of the first movie, which first introduced us to Anna and Elsa. However, if you want to get the best ride experience on Frozen Ever After, we’ve got one piece of advice that will help — and it has everything to do with where you sit. If you’ve been on Frozen Ever After, you’ll know that the ride is a water ride, similar to Pirates of the Caribbean, where you sit on a bench inside a boat. As the boats move through the attraction the story of the first Frozen movie comes to life with animatronics and projections around you. However, we recently came to a realization about these scenes. Frozen Ever After animatronics We recently realized that there’s only one full scene on the right side: the scene with the trolls. All other full scenes of the ride are on your left. Therefore, it’s probably better if you’re sitting on the left to better see the majority of the scenes throughout the ride. Frozen Ever After Of course, you may not have much control over where you sit, although generally parties are seated together on one bench. If you want the best view of the scenes, just make sure that when your party lines up at the loading area, you’re in the back. This will put you on the left side of the boat. 7. Many Disney guests might be completely missing this MAJOR perk of Disney restaurants, but before you do it, there are a few things to know. Steakhouse 71 Did you know that you can order to go from many of Disney’s most popular hotel restaurants? That’s right! No need to grab an Advanced Dining Reservation or wait around for a table! You can simply mobile order takeout using the MyDisney Experience App. But before you place your order, you’ll want to take note of these 6 things! 1. Don’t Expect the Full Menu When ordering takeout from a Disney table service restaurant, don’t expect to see the entire menu pop up on the My Disney Experience app. Some entrees, specialty items, or even fan-favorite appetizers may not be available for mobile order. This can be disappointing if you had your heart set on a signature dish. Before making plans, it’s a good idea to preview the to-go menu in the app so you know exactly what your options will be. Kona Cafe 2. To-Go Doesn’t Always Mean Fast Just because you’re ordering to go doesn’t always mean it will be lightning-fast. Many times, you’ll still wait about as long as you would if you were dining in, since the kitchen prepares orders in the same flow as the dining room. To save yourself from getting hangry, place your order a bit in advance so it’s ready when you’re truly hungry, instead of waiting around with an empty stomach. Sanaa 3. Only Certain Restaurants Offer Takeout Takeout from table service restaurants isn’t available everywhere, so don’t assume your favorite spot will have it. Currently, options include restaurants like Sanaa at Disney’s Animal Kingdom Lodge, Ale & Compass at Disney’s Yacht Club Resort, and Kona Café at Disney’s Polynesian Village Resort. Since the lineup can change, it’s best to check the My Disney Experience app during your trip to see which restaurants are offering this convenient feature. Three Bridges Bar and Grill 4. Quality Isn’t Quite the Same While Disney does a good job with packaging, takeout meals don’t always live up to the same standard as when they’re served fresh at your table. Food may not be quite as hot, and items like fried dishes or steaks can lose their texture on the journey from the kitchen to the pickup area. It’s still a nice way to enjoy a sit-down meal on the go, but if presentation and temperature matter most to you, dining in might be the better choice. Wailulu Bar & Grill 5. A Cheaper Alternative to Food Delivery If you’re staying on property and thinking about grabbing dinner from an outside delivery service like DoorDash, Disney’s to-go meals could actually save you money. DoorDash, Uber Eats, and other services often add delivery fees, tips, and sometimes even inflated menu prices. Ordering directly from a Disney restaurant through the app means you’ll only pay Disney’s listed price plus tax, and there are no surprise charges sneaking in. Ale & Compass 6. The Best Way to End a Busy Park Day After walking miles around the parks, sometimes the last thing you want to do is sit through a long meal at a busy restaurant. That’s where Disney’s table service takeout really shines. Imagine picking up your favorite entrée, heading back to your resort room, and enjoying it while curled up in bed watching a Disney movie. It’s a cozy, stress-free way to end your day, especially for families with tired kids or adults who just need a break from the crowds. 9. Disney World is home to so many tasty treats! Caramel Apple Crisp All four parks have many different snack options, but one that stands as THE food park is EPCOT! It has a variety of food options for guests, and with the Food and Wine Festival going on, all foodies should be going there. We recently tried a new dessert at EPCOT, and we had to share our review of it with you! We know it’s the Food and Wine Festival right now, but we had to stop by one of our favorite spots that’s at the park year-round. We’re talking about Karamell-Küche in the Germany Pavilion. Karamell-Küche If you’ve been to EPCOT and don’t recognize the name, we bet you’d recognize it by the smell. This shop in the World Showcase is where you can grab treats like caramel popcorn, candy apples, caramel butter bars, whoopie pies, and other treats! Look at all these treats! We’ve found that snacks here have great quality and the flavors are truly unmatched — which is why we’re here time and time again. So, when this new dessert dropped, we couldn’t miss it! Check out the Caramel Apple Crisp Pie for $8.99. Caramel Apple Crisp Pie Ok, we’re going to start with a big complaint here…WE WANTED MORE OF IT! It’s so good, but there isn’t enough of it. Don’t get us wrong, we really enjoyed this mini pie, but we found it a bit pricey for how big it is (or how little). It’s tough because the price doesn’t justify the treat for us, but when you bite into it, it’s so good! It’s small but really good! You get notes of that fresh caramel paired with the apple crisp. The pie had some crunchy elements that seemed to be like pecans or seeds. The pie is easy to cut into, and the crust crumbles nicely. There were smaller cinnamon apple bites that added an amazing freshness to the treat. We honestly just wish this were bigger! We would buy it, and honestly, even pay twice as much for it, if it were a bigger portion. It doesn’t stick to the roof of your mouth like other ones. It was just nice, light, and crispy! It was so tasty! As always, Karamell-Küche delivered a very tasty treat! Be sure to keep following the Disney Food Blog to get our reviews on all sorts of Disney eats and treats! However, Disney has filed a permit suggesting that even more work is coming to the hotel, this time at its entrance. Disney just filed a new permit with Orange County, Florida for a new project there to make updates to the employee parking lot at the hotel, as well as to the main entrance, which will connect to two new roundabouts that are currently being constructed with another project that will update World Drive to improve traffic control around Magic Kingdom and the Magic Kingdom resort area. Grand Floridian entrance If driving to the Grand Floridian, note that construction could change how you approach the hotel, although Disney hasn’t confirmed any details about that yet. Changes are also coming to the entrance to the Grand Floridian’s wedding pavilion. That parking lot will be affected by the changes on World Drive, so a new driveway will be constructed at the wedding pavilion. Grand Floridian wedding pavilion So that’s just more construction you’ll have to keep an eye out if you’re visiting or staying at this hotel in the near future. We’ll be keeping an eye out for updates on how this construction might affect hotel guests, so stay tuned to DFB for more. NEWS: A NEW Bar Is Coming to Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort! 13. What's New at Disneyland Paris for Halloween? The Lucky Nugget Saloon to receive a haunted makeover this Halloween season Main Street, U.S.A. will come alive with new Halloween-themed projections Jack Skellington and Sally from Tim Burton’s The Nightmare Before Christmas are coming to Frontierland Beginning October 1 to November 2, 2025, Disneyland Paris will transform into Disney Halloween Festival packed with spine-tingling blend of thrills and brand-new surprises for the season. The Unlucky Nugget Saloon Comes to Frontierland Inspired by the iconic Phantom Manor attraction, The Lucky Nugget Saloon will transform into The Unlucky Nugget Saloon! It is rumored that a grand reception was to be held here in honor of the neighboring Ravenswoods in celebration of the upcoming nuptials of their daughter, Melanie. But the restaurant has inexplicably fallen into disrepair, prompting locals to rename it “The Unlucky Nugget.” The restaurant remains open to curious visitors, but warns that they should expect their visit to be somewhat… spirited! This limited–time experience will include ghostly decoration, as well as Halloween-themed menus during Disney Halloween Festival. Main Street, U.S.A. Comes Alive with New Projections As night descends on Main Street, U.S.A., the charming area will take on a hauntingly magical glow. Building facades will come alive with spectral projections, adding a seasonal twist for the first time at Disneyland Paris. Meet Disney Villains & Mischief Makers Step into the wonderfully wicked world of the iconic Disney Villains as Cruella, Maleficent, Jafar, and more take center stage at Disneyland Park. Over in Frontierland, you can find the Pumpkin King, Jack Skellington, as well as Sally from Tim’s Burton’s The Nightmare Before Christmas. Miguel from the Pixar Animation Studios movie Coco is also bringing Frontierland to life. Mickey’s Halloween Celebration Cavalcade Returns The fan-favorite “Mickey’s Halloween Celebration” returns with Goofy, Chip ‘n’ Dale, Daisy Duck and more. José Carioca and Panchito from the Walt Disney Animation Studios film The Three Caballeros are joining Donald Duck on his float this year, while Mickey’s Illusion Manor float returns, including his sudden change of attire. We’re thrilled to share that Chip ‘n’ Dale will also debut in all-new Halloween outfits this year. Eerie-sistable Goodies and Treats Await Indulge in fang-tastic treats that will haunt menus all around Disneyland Paris, including the vanilla-filled éclairs inspired by Phantom Manor’s ghostly residents. And the Halloween treats don’t stop there, embark on a whimsical treasure hunt presented by M&M’s. With a special map in hand, adventurers will search for mystical doors scattered throughout the park, uncovering colorful clues along the way. For those looking to discover new Halloween merchandise, there’s plenty of goodies on the way. This year, Mickey Mouse, Minnie Mouse and Stitch plush toys will be donning their sorcerer costumes, while Mike from the Pixar Animation Studios film Monsters, Inc. will be dressed as an adorable pumpkin in the form of a shoulder plush. Thrill-Seeking Adventures Await This Halloween At Disneyland Paris, there’s over 53 attractions for both youngsters and adults to enjoy. This Halloween season, brave the eerie Phantom Manor or “drop” in at the gravity-defying Twilight Zone Tower of Terror. Extended Park Hours and More Surprises On October 31, you’re invited to wear your Halloween costumes to Disneyland Paris. For just this one day, prolong the ghoulish glee as opening hours will be extended until 11 p.m. And that’s not all, upon park closing, one last spellbinding adventure is in store! Be sure to catch the show “A Nightfall with Disney Villains,” which will electrify Sleeping Beauty Castle prior to the start of the nighttime spectacular “Disney Tales of Magic.” We can’t wait for the frightful fun that awaits as Halloween creeps closer. 14. There is a lot changing in Disney’s Animal Kingdom right now. Tree of Life in Disney’s Animal Kingdom A brand-new show will be coming to the Tree of Life, Zootopia: Better Zoogether. However, the biggest change has been the phased closure of DinoLand U.S.A. to make way for a brand new land, Pueblo Esperanza. Now we’ve recently gotten word of when the rest of DinoLand will close for construction in early 2026, leaving many guests booking one more trip before the extinction of the area. Disney adults across the globe are adjusting their 2026 vacation plans after the announcement that the iconic Dinosaur attraction at Disney’s Animal Kingdom will close permanently on February 1st, 2026. First opened in 1998, Dinosaur has long been a fan-favorite, thrilling guests with its intense ride through prehistoric times and innovative animatronics. For many Disney enthusiasts, it’s more than just a ride, but a nostalgic journey that has been part of countless family trips. DINOSAUR The closure has created a sense of urgency among Disney fans, with many planning trips specifically to experience the ride one last time. Guests are not only seeking to relive their favorite memories but also to capture photos and enjoy the attraction while it still exists. This phenomenon is reminiscent of past attraction closures, where fans flocked to parks to make the most of a limited-time experience, proving how deeply Disney rides become part of personal and generational memories. Dinosaur The attraction’s closure comes as part of the construction of the new Tropical Americas area at Animal Kingdom. Also closing that day is The Dino Institute Shop, Restaurantosaurus, and Restaurantosaurus Lounge. The expansion’s construction will open in 2027. Construction Walls featuring Artwork for Tropical Americas Dinosaur will be turning into an Indiana Jones attraction as part of the area’s transformation. Disney aficionados know how full circle appropriate this is, as Dinosaur’s ride system, track layout, and physical experience were clones of the original Indiana Jones Adventure, which opened at Disneyland in 1995. ©Disney For anyone who has always loved Dinosaur, now is the time to plan your last ride. 16. Have Disney vacation questions? planDisney has the answers! Our panelists are back once again with more planning tips in our Ask planDisney video series presented by State Farm, sharing their best advice for young families visiting Disneyland Resort. Play Areas Just Their Size When it comes to creating unforgettable days, Disneyland has fun around every corner, and that includes play spaces designed especially for little ones! Panelists Tara and Kriss explore some of their go-to spots and answer the question: “Where can kids burn off energy at Disneyland?” In Disneyland park, families can wander through Mickey’s Toontown, home to Goofy’s How-To-Play Yard and CenTOONial Park, or set sail for adventure at Pirate’s Lair on Tom Sawyer Island, where caves, bridges, and trails invite little ones to explore and discover. Over at Disney California Adventure park, Redwood Creek Challenge Trail is an outdoor playground packed with slides, swings, and climbing nets. These areas are perfect for midday breaks, giving kids a chance to play and roam while parents take a breather. planDisney Pro Tip Build playtime into your itinerary between attractions. Not only does it help toddlers get their wiggles out, but it also gives parents the perfect window to check wait times, mobile order snacks, or plan the next stop in the Disneyland app.* Watch the full video to catch the panelists’ top play area picks and stick around until the end to see Tara reveal her favorite secret spot for little ones to recharge! Say Hello to Disney Friends Meeting Disney characters is often the highlight of a park day, and panelists David and Kriss are here to answer a top question: “Where can you go with little ones to meet characters at Disneyland?” Families can meet favorite Disney characters throughout the parks, from Disney Princesses at Royal Hall in Disneyland park to Pixar pals at Pixar Pier in Disney California Adventure park. Character dining is another fun way for kids to interact with multiple characters in one stop, giving them one-on-one time while enjoying a meal. The panelists especially recommend “Minnie & Friends – Breakfast in the Park” at Plaza Inn in Disneyland park and Storytellers Cafe at Disney’s Grand Californian Hotel & Spa. Advanced reservations are highly recommended for character dining experiences and can be made on Disneyland.com or the Disneyland app up to 60 days prior to your visit. planDisney Pro Tip Be sure to check the Disneyland app for character appearance times and locations. You might even stumble upon a surprise encounter while strolling through the parks, so always be on the lookout! Check out the full video for the panelists’ favorite character spots and keep an eye out for the fun characters they meet along the way! More Magical Moments: Attractions and Shows Beyond play areas and character greetings, there are plenty of rides and shows tailored to younger guests. Classic attractions like “it’s a small world” and Dumbo the Flying Elephant in Disneyland park or family-friendly favorites The Little Mermaid ~ Ariel’s Undersea Adventure and Inside Out Emotional Whirlwind in Disney California Adventure park are perfect first rides for little ones. Kids can also dance along at “Disney Jr. Mickey Mouse Clubhouse Live!” (or “Mickey’s Trick and Treat” during Halloween Time) in Disney California Adventure park or enjoy Fantasmic! in Disneyland park together, adding an extra dose of magic to round out the day. planDisney Pro Tip Use the Disneyland app to filter attractions by “Any Height” so you can quickly spot the rides your whole family can enjoy together. And don’t forget to check showtimes so you can catch a performance nearby in between. 18. You know you’re a Disney Adult when a new park map makes you excited. Even though we know our way around the parks like the back of our hands, we still like picking up a map from time to time to see if we’ve missed any big changes and keep it for our scrapbooks. New map! A new map was recently released at Magic Kingdom, and we’re spilling all the details with you. We love that Elsa is on the cover to represent the new nighttime parade, Disney Starlight: Dream the Night Away. This new addition to Magic Kingdom is bringing on the sparkling lights with other characters like Peter Pan, Mirabel, Asha, and the Blue Fairy. Elsa We also got a new look at the overall map. We’re ready for new expansions like the Villains Land and Piston Peak, the Cars-themed land, to hit the areas, but we have quite a few years before that happens. Let’s open the map! For now, the whole area is empty! This is where Tom Sawyer Island and the Rivers of America were, so once Piston Peak starts saying “coming soon,” we’re going to be left with a lot of greenery on the map. The Villains Land is going behind Big Thunder Mountain, which is also getting its own renovation to open early next year. EMPTY! Whether you’re a local who comes all the time or a first-timer stepping into Magic Kingdom, grabbing a map can help you discover experiences you never thought of. While all the information is available in the app, it’s nice to see it all listed out, which is also great for little ones to help choose where they want to go based on pictures. Everything you need for a perfect day All the height requirements, restaurants, and stores are also listed if you’re looking for somewhere new to try! Bathrooms are also on the map, so you can easily see which one is closest without having to ask a Cast Member. 21. There might be nothing more magical than sitting down and having dinner when your favorite princess greets you at the table and chats with you for a minute. You get to eat some great food, all while meeting different characters without ever leaving your table. Dopey! We love character dining at Disney World, but one of our favorite restaurants is having some scheduling issues right now that you should know about if you’re planning to visit next month. Story Book Dining at Artist Point, located at Disney’s Wilderness Lodge, isn’t showing any reservations past October 5th. While all of the dates could be booked out, we find that unlikely, and this might be hinting towards downtime. ©Disney Some of our readers have brought this up to our attention, and when we went to check it ourselves, we weren’t able to book past October 5th. We spoke with a Cast Member who mentioned that the dates might have filled up, so we should keep checking back and try same-day reservations. Appetizers This could also have been a glitch in the reservation system, as restaurant hours are still posted for those dates. When Disney starts hinting at a closure, temporary or permanent, they usually adjust the times to reflect the changes. Evil Queen If Story Book Dining is on your “must do” list, we highly recommend continuing to check for reservations since the system could open more. You can also try same-day reservations, but it might be helpful to have a backup plan in case it is going under a refurbishment. Closer to October 5th, we should hopefully have more answers. Grumpy! This restaurant is one of our top character dining spots at Disney World. You get to meet Snow White, Dopey, Grumpy, and the Evil Queen. We find this restaurant is usually a bit calmer than other popular spots like Cinderella’s Royal Table and Chef Mickey’s. Desserts REVIEW: IS STORY BOOK DINING THE BEST CHARACTER MEAL IN DISNEY WORLD? The whole space is a little darker (but not too dark that you can’t see your food) and lit up with a gorgeous tree with twinkling lights. They offer a prix fixe menu that always has us coming back for more. It can be hard to find a character dining restaurant that offers great food along with a fantastic character experience, but Story Book Dining is usually near the top of our list for it. The menu We’ll keep checking back for more updates, but in the meantime, make sure you keep following Disney Food Blog for more tips and tricks for your next vacation. 22. There are a lot of rules when visiting Walt Disney World. Some official, some not. However, there’s one that drives parents crazy. ©Amazon I’ve been covering Walt Disney World’s theme parks for 7 years, and in that time, I’ve spoken to a lot of parents about visiting the parks with their children. In many of those conversations, the same rule comes up over and over… Anyone who has visited a Walt Disney World park in the last few decades is likely familiar with the security process that accompanies any of the resort’s theme parks. There are bag checks and metal detectors before reaching the tapstyles. These entry points can be especially frustrating for parents pushing young children in strollers. Magic Kingdom entrance To enter through security, all children need to leave their strollers. Yes, that includes kids who are all buckled in, or even those who are napping. That can obviously chuff some parents, especially those who are hoping for their youngster to get a bit of rest before the metaphorical (and sometimes literal) sugar rush of being in a Disney park. EPCOT’s entrance Children being required to leave a stroller as it goes through security isn’t the only stroller rule at the “Most Magical Place on Earth.” According to Disney, the following guidelines are also in place: Strollers larger than 31” (79 cm) in width and 52” (132cm) in length are not permitted. Stroller wagons are also not permitted. Strollers are not allowed on escalators. Use of strollers is permitted on elevators and ramps, available at certain locations. A child must be removed from his or her stroller while riding on a parking lot tram. Do not leave personal belongings in an unattended stroller. Strollers may be moved by a Cast Member due to operational needs. Not acceptable stroller parking While this security rule is understandable and necessary, it does tend to bother parents trying to bring their children into Walt Disney World’s theme parks. Stay tuned to DFB for more on Disney’s rules. Join the DFB Newsletter to get all the breaking news right in your inbox! Click here to Subscribe! WE KNOW DISNEY. YOU CAN, TOO. 23. You guys, it’s a seriously good year for Universal Orlando Resort. Celestial Park in Epic Universe Back in May, the resort opened up a brand-new theme park, Universal Epic Universe. The new park has been received fairly well with its popular IPs, unique rides, and shockingly delicious theme park food. But did you know Epic Universe has several offerings that are award-worthy? Yep, the theme park was recognized multiple times by the Golden Ticket Awards. In total, Universal Orlando was recognized five different times by the Amusement Today Golden Ticket Awards. “We are honored to have received five 2025 Golden Ticket Awards this year,” said Karen Irwin, President and COO of Universal Orlando Resort. “We are committed to developing the most innovative, immersive experiences imaginable and creating a vacation experience like no other. Our amazing team members take tremendous pride in delivering exceptional experiences to our guests every day, and this incredible recognition is a result of their hard work and dedication.” Universal Orlando The first of the awards goes to Volcano Bay, which won Best Water Park. This is noteworthy because it’s the first new winner in that category in 26 years. This park is generally a fan-favorite water park in the Central Florida area due to its theming, incorporation of technology, and innovative attractions. Volcano Bay at Universal Orlando The other four awards all go to Epic Universe. Best New Coaster was awarded to Stardust Racers in Celestial Park. The thrilling ride reaches speeds up to 62 mph and heights up to 133 feet. It’s definitely not one for the faint of heart! Stardust Racers Best New Dark Ride goes to Monsters Unchained: The Frankenstein Experiment. This ride has received a LOT of praise since Epic Universe opened because of its massive (and very impressive) animatronics and incredibly themed queue. Monsters Unchained: The Frankenstein Experiment In similar fashion, the Best New Theme Concept goes to Darkmoor, the fictional village where Dark Universe takes place. This space has a creepy and ominous vibe that you feel as you walk through the graveyard, dine inside the crypt of Das Stakehaus, or stroll through the halls of Frankenstein Manor. Welcome to Darkmoor Finally, the Best New Attraction Installation goes to Epic Universe’s most popular ride, Harry Potter and the Battle at the Ministry. This ride often has a multi-hour wait, and many have called it the best ride in the park. Harry Potter and the Battle at the Ministry So if you’re planning a trip to Universal Orlando, make sure to check out these award-winning offerings during your vacation! Congrats to Universal for these accomplishments. Stay tuned to DFB for more Universal Orlando news. Click Here to See the Best Things to Eat in Epic Universe! 24. Don’t look now, but in a few months, Disney’s first ship to set sail out of Singapore will go on its maiden voyage. ©DisneyCruiseLine Get ready for December 15th, as that’s the day the Disney Adventure embarks on its first voyage. This new ship will feature seven themed areas, a ton of dining experiences, and new attractions. You know what else the brand-new ship will offer? Merchandise! Speaking of, we got a first look at a piece of merch exclusive to the Disney Adventure, and Marvel fans are going to love it! The cover art was done by Leinil Francis Yu, and the penciler was Ron Lim — who is best known for the Infinity Gauntlet series, Thanos Quest, and Silver Surfer Rebirth. Pretty cool! ©DisneyCruiseLine (Avengers Assemble Show) The Disney Adventure will have lots of exclusive merchandise to offer guests. The Disney Adventure will not only be the first Disney Cruise Line ship to set sail from Singapore, but it will also be the first Disney Cruise Line ship to have a World of Disney store onboard. ©DisneyCruiseLine This World of Disney onboard is said to carry Disney Cruise Line-specific merchandise. Something that’s very exciting is that Disney has said the merchandise will have a “wide range of never-before-seen designs inspired by the rich natural beauty and cultural icons of Southeast Asia.” ©Disney You’ll get tons of opportunities for shopping on the Disney Adventure, as it will have nearly 17,000 square feet of retail space. Of course, we mentioned World of Disney, but the ship will feature so many shops that have never been seen on a Disney Cruise before. This includes the first-ever National Geographic Store at sea and the first-ever Duffy and Friends Shop. ©Disney Palace Treasures and 3 Wishes will offer an “elevated shopping experience” to Concierge guests. You’ll find things like luxury goods, fine jewelry, clothing, souvenirs, and more! ©Disney We’re really excited for the Disney Adventure to set sail for the first time. We can’t believe it’ll be in a few months. For more Disney news and updates, be sure to stay tuned to the Disney Food Blog. 25. Hot Disney World days are no joke — we’ve been there time and time again, and we know firsthand that having a way to cool down during the day is incredibly important. Let’s stay cool! We’ve tried lots of different ways to keep cool in the parks — cooling towels, cooling fans, and handheld fans, but with as hot as it is, we decided to kick it up a notch. We tried a Waist Fan, and let’s just say — this thing is POWERFUL! DISCLOSURE: This post may contain affiliate links, meaning when you click the links and make a purchase, we receive a commission. Want A Powerful Fan To Keep Cool? This Waist Fan is FOR YOU! Waist Fan This Waist Fan costs just $25 on Amazon, and while it’s a little bulky, it’s totally worth it for its cooling power. This will work best for someone who carries a lot of heat around the middle of their body, as you can clip it to your clothes or use the belt to attach it to you, but you can also put it on the lanyard and wear it around your next if you feel like you frequently overheat on your face. It worked great for us! While we think this works fantastic outside, you can also use it inside — for us, it amplified the AC so much, it was almost overwhelming! This has three different modes, but we really think it’s only worth it on its highest level for those supremely hot days. If you’re someone who overheats easily for any reason, we also think this is a must-grab. It does so much! However, we do see where it could be a little heavy for those with smaller frames, and if you’re someone who would be bothered by the sound of the fan all day, it may not be the best fit for you. But if staying extra cool is most important above all else, this is the way to go! Grab it here! We’re always trying out new products in the park to help you grab what you need to make your trip the biggest success, so stay tuned to DFB!
