  1. If you’re planning a trip to Disney World, you’ve probably been thinking about where you want to eat. Between parks and resorts, finding the right spot to eat can be pretty difficult — that’s why we’re here to help you with that decision. Old Key West Resort We recently stopped by Turtle Shack Poolside Snacks at Old Key West to see what was cookin’, and now we’re bringing you our FULL review. Is it worth a stop on your next trip to the Most Magical Place on Earth? Find out here! Atmosphere This dining spot is a pool bar, sitting right next to one of the resort’s main pools. It has a cute pool bar theme to it and a lot to offer. You’ll have to find seating around the pool, which there are lots of, so you wouldn’t need to worry about that. Turtle Shack Poolside Snacks! The location allows for lots to do while you’re enjoying food, treats, or drinks. There’s a pool, a shuffleboard court, and a game room. But enough about the restaurant — what’s on the menu here?! Menu Don’t be fooled by what the dining spot’s called — it may have “snacks” in the name, but it has entree-level dishes. They have a charcuterie plate, pizza, hot dogs, sandwiches, and more! They also have their fair share of snacks and treats, including cookies, fruit cups, and ice cream. ©Disney They also have lots of beverage options for kids and adults — including beer, cocktails, juices, frozen slushies, and more! ©Disney And now, onto the main event — the food! Eats First up, we grabbed the Sunset Vegetable Wrap for $11.49. This was seasonal crisp vegetables, key lime vinaigrette, on a spinach tortilla. If you love all-vegetable-based dishes, this one is definitely for you. We feel like protein would have made this better and given it more flavor. That being said, this wasn’t bad. Vegetable Wrap There were a lot of vegetables in the wrap — carrots, soy beans, cabbage, and kale, to name some. It’s a fine choice for an all-veggie dish, but we probably wouldn’t get it again. It was a little soggy, and for the options on the menu, we think some are just more appealing. This was fine! We also wanted to try the Buttermilk Chicken Sandwich for $12.79. We got ours with house-made chips as the side. This was a piece of fried chicken with melted cheese, a tomato, and lettuce on a brioche bun. That’s all that’s on it, you’re probably thinking that sounds dry, it 100% was! Buttermilk Chicken Sandwich! Ok, yes, it was very dry, but it really wasn’t that bad! We grabbed a couple of ketchup packets and threw them on the sandwich. It didn’t do much, but it made it better. The chicken tasted good, and the bun was great, but there was not a lot of flavor with this thing. You could not taste the cheese at all, which was disappointing! For its price, we don’t think it’s worth it, but you can’t expect too much from a poolside quick service spot. Overall, we really didn’t mind it; it just wasn’t amazing — maybe it was just ours. It was very dry! Drinks To drink, we picked up the Piña Colada Slushy for $6.99. This was the best thing we got! Warning: drink it fast, because you’ll lose that slush texture sitting in the sun by the pool for too long. This was crazy refreshing and crazy tasty! Frozen Piña Colada The drink isn’t overly sweet, and it was very light. We probably could’ve had three of these without even noticing. Taste-wise, it tastes like any other Piña Colada, but frozen. Nothing crazy special, but it tasted great! This was so good! There was no way we were passing up the Turtle Krawl for $15.50. This had Siesta Key White Rum, Parrot Bay Coconut Rum, and Sailor Jerry Spiced Rum with Grenadine, Pineapple, Orange, and Key Lime Juices. You can get this at Olivia’s Cafe at the same resort, so this drink isn’t exclusive to hear in case you want to try it. Turtle Krawl It’s a little bit sour, and as far as fruity alcoholic drinks go, you can taste the alcohol in this one. It may have been the orange and lime that made it sour, but it caught us by surprise. Interestingly enough, the drink gave us a grapefruit taste, even though it didn’t have any in it. It was a nice, refreshing cold drink, but the sour may catch some off guard. It was a little sour Nosh or Not This Disney World restaurant is a must-visit if… If you’re at the pool at Old Key West! To be honest, this is really the only reason you should go here. We don’t think it’s worth coming out of your way for. If you’re staying at the Old Key West! Same as our point with the pool, if you’re staying at the resort, it’s a nice spot with snacks and drinks you can check out. You should skip this Disney World spot if… You’re anywhere BUT Old Key West! This really isn’t worth the journey from any resort or park. It’s deep within the resort (we had to take a bus from the lobby area), and doesn’t have anything special. You want more food options! If you are at the resort, we would rather go to Olivia’s Cafe (which isn’t that pricey). It has more options and better food. Overall This place had good food and good drinks, but there is no reason for you to come here unless you’re at the resort, or really if you’re spending the day at the pool. There are so many food options across the Disney World Resort, it just wouldn’t be worth the time spent getting here. If you are at the resort, it’s definitely a cute and tasty spot, especially if you’re out for a pool day. This was good! In the meantime, we’ll be on the lookout for more restaurant updates from Disney World and beyond. Make sure you stay tuned to the Disney Food Blog for the latest Disney news and more! 2. Picture this: it’s a cool fall day, the autumn vibes are all around, and it’s a perfect day in Magic Kingdom. You know what that means? It’s time to get something to drink — how about some cold brew? Who’s ready for more Halloween snacks? There are tons of fall treats around the parks right now to celebrate the season, and while some of them in Magic Kingdom are exclusive to Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party, there are also plenty that you can grab any time of day. We’re happy to share that a new snack has just arrived in the park that’s available all day long. The Cauldron Cold Brew at Auntie Gravity’s Galactic Goodies will cost you $5.79, and is made with Joffrey’s Coffee Cold Brew with Pumpkin-spiced Foam and Sprinkles. Cauldron Cold Brew This is a VERY light cold brew. It’s only slightly watered down from the melted ice, but overall, it isn’t a strong cup of coffee at all. We could barely taste the pumpkin spice foam, and the drink itself has almost no sweetness, which our reporter liked, as they didn’t want it to be an overly syrupy sweet Halloween coffee. Instead, it just tastes like a mild cold brew with a little creaminess from the foam. It’s very light! However, since the pumpkin spice doesn’t really come through and the sprinkles don’t add anything beyond decoration, it may not be as pumpkin-y as you would like. This more tame flavor does make it approachable for people who don’t want a sugar bomb or heavy artificial flavors, though, and we think it’s nice and light, easy to drink, with great visual appeal. The sprinkles really only add to the look, not the flavor Looking for more recent reviews? Check out our posts below! More Recent Reviews! 3. We are OBSESSED with Disney ducks, and, yes, that includes the #1 duck, Donald Duck. We often take photos of other ducks in Disney World, too, though, because they are SO sweet. The BOATHOUSE However, there’s a restaurant in Disney Springs that could be more obsessed with ducks than we are. Not only do they have a drink that’s duck-themed, but they also have some pretty cool duck merchandise, including a NEW duck souvenir that we just can’t get enough of right now. Seriously, this DUCK is EPIC. If you’ve ever visited The BOATHOUSE in Disney Springs, you’re probably familiar with the famous Duck Duck Razz cocktail that comes with its very own rubber duck (and started what has become a trend of tiny animals in drinks in Disney World). The infamous Duck Duck Razz! Recently, The BOATHOUSE also released a fun frozen Duck Duck Razz that came in an EPIC tumbler with a duck in an Amphicar. That was pretty epic. Frozen Duck Duck Razz Well, a brand NEW duck souvenir has arrived at The BOATHOUSE, and you’re going to love it. It’s a Ceramic Duck Sipper Cup for $25, and it’s a HUGE version of The BOATHOUSE duck imagined as a sipper. Yep, this gigantic duck can hold your favorite drink! Just LOOK AT IT. We love it! The duck’s head twists off so that you can put your drink in the rest of its body. The head screws off Now, it doesn’t come with a straw, but there’s a hole where you can fit pretty much any straw. Place for straw We were told this little guy is SUPER popular. If you want to grab him, The BOATHOUSE can also make sure he’s pre-packaged and wrapped with bubble wrap (because he is breakable). But what a fun souvenir, right? Also, you can use your Annual Passholder and Disney Vacation Club discount when you purchase it. SWEET, right? 6. Gliding high above Disney World on the Skyliner feels like magic, but the Cast Members who load you in know a few truths they’ll never actually say out loud. Skyliner The Disney Skyliner is a gondola connecting EPCOT and Disney’s Hollywood Studios with several Disney Resorts. The friendly Cast Members who are operating this free form of Disney transportation have some things to tell you, but they won’t, so we will instead! 1. Be Ready The Disney Skyliner doesn’t stop and wait for you — it’s a continuously moving gondola system. That means when it’s your turn to board, you need to be ready to step in quickly. Cast Members won’t say it out loud, but they’re silently rooting for you not to hold up the flow. Have your stroller ready to move, your backpack zipped, and your crew prepared before you reach the loading platform. A little preparation makes the process smoother for you, the Cast Members, and the long line of guests behind you. Skyliner 2. Don’t Sit There Motion sickness and the Skyliner don’t mix well, especially if you pick the wrong seat. Pro tip: always sit facing forward in the direction the gondola is traveling. Sitting backward might seem like no big deal, but for those who get queasy easily, it can quickly turn magical views into a not-so-fun experience. Cast Members won’t call you out, but they’d love for you to know this trick before you settle in. Inside the Disney Skyliner 3. We Can Hear You Here’s a little secret: the Skyliner isn’t exactly a private booth. Sound carries, and both Cast Members at the stations and fellow riders in nearby gondolas can hear more of your conversation than you think. Whether you’re gossiping or venting about your day, it’s good to remember you’ve got an audience. Keep it family-friendly, and maybe save the juiciest details for when you’re back on the ground. Skyliner 4. We Know You’re Just Here for The Skyliner Let’s be honest, the Skyliner is so fun, it feels like a ride all on its own. Cast Members can always tell when guests are hopping on just to enjoy the trip, not necessarily to stay at a connected resort like Disney’s Riviera Resort. And guess what? They don’t mind one bit! There’s no rule against treating the Skyliner as a free Disney attraction, so go ahead — ride, relax, and take in those sweeping views of the parks. 7. A state of emergency has been issued for Hawaii ahead of potential inclement weather from Hurricane Kiko. Hawaii Hawaii is an ultra-popular travel spot as both a stand-alone destination and a coveted cruise ship port. But residents and visitors to the state will need to be mindful of potentially dangerous storm conditions in the coming days. On Friday afternoon, Hawaii’s acting governor, Sylvia Luke, issued an emergency proclamation ahead of possible inclement weather posed by Hurricane Kiko. The state of emergency is in effect across the entire state. Temple in Oahu A press release from the governor’s office states, “The proclamation activates emergency measures and resources to protect public health, safety, and welfare. Tropical storm-force winds, heavy rainfall, and high surf associated with Hurricane Kiko could begin affecting portions of the state as early as Monday, September 8, 2025.” Aulani As of Friday, officials said Hurricane Kiko is a major hurricane located approximately 1,200 miles east-southeast of Hawaii. It is forecast to approach the islands as a tropical storm early next week. In preparation for the storm’s arrival, the governor’s office urged residents and visitors to monitor updates, follow official guidance, and have emergency supplies on hand. Aulani The disaster emergency relief period is in effect now through Friday, September 19th, 2025, unless extended or terminated earlier. 8. Celebrities love Disney as much as we do, and they spend a surprising amount of time visiting the parks on their days off. Storytellers Cafe It’s incredible how many celebrities often visit Disneyland, although it makes sense because Disneyland IS so close to Hollywood, after all. Recently, the stars of Freakier Friday, including Jamie Lee Curtis, paid “The Happiest Place on Earth” a visit. Matt Damon was recently photographed with Donald Duck there. Emma Roberts has been spotted there, too. Even more recently, though, High School Musical star Ashley Tisdale was spotted in Disneyland with her family! That’s right, Sharpay herself (not to mention Candace from Phineas and Ferb) recently enjoyed some time with her family at Disneyland. Tisdale posted a photo to her Instagram account of herself and her family enjoying the Mickey’s Autumn Adventures Buffet at Storytellers Cafe at Disney’s Grand Californian Hotel. Disney also posted a photo of the beautiful family. ©Disney You, too, can enjoy Mickey’s Autumn Adventures Buffet at Storytellers Cafe through November 16th. This character dining experience includes a buffet PLUS a chance to meet Mickey, Minnie, and their friends in their fall-themed outfits. It’s all part of Halloween Time in Disneyland, which (in my opinion) is the most magical time of ALL! Storytellers Cafe We’re sure we’ll see even more celebrities stopping by Disneyland during this special time, so we’ll keep an eye out to see who else drops by the resort. 10. Alright, whoever is cutting onions needs to knock it off. ©IMDb The Disney Parks, movies, and all forms of entertainment are undoubtedly packed with loads of nostalgia that keep Disney Adults coming back for more. While lots of said nostalgia can put a smile on your face — such as walking down Main Street, U.S.A., watching a classic like Hercules (1997) for the hundredth time, or listening to bops from the Jonas Brothers — there’s plenty that can reduce even the toughest person to tears. Music is especially good at evoking some strong emotions, and these 10 nostalgic Disney songs — whether you hear them at home on your TV or while strolling around the parks — can cause many Disney Adults (even myself, a grown man) to tear up! “Remember Me” — Coco (2017) Disney and Pixar’s Coco is PACKED with iconic music that helps tell a story rooted in Mexican culture that appeals to families all over the world. If I had to pick one song, though, that feels like a gut-punch every time I hear it, it would have to be “Remember Me”. Miguel and Dante When Miguel plays “Remember Me” to Coco on Héctor’s guitar, the waterworks start. Just thinking about the song is triggering. “When She Loved Me” — Toy Story 2 (1999) Sarah McLachlan is no stranger to making us cry with “Angel”, the song featured in those heartbreaking anti-animal cruelty commercials, but it’s her hit “When She Loved Me” from Disney and Pixar’s Toy Story 2 that has really stuck with us after all these years. ©IMDb The song recounts Jessie — the toy cowgirl — being abandoned and forgotten by her previous owner with plenty of melancholy and longing. There’s no other way to put it — the song is both beautiful and depressing, creating all the feels every time we hear it. “Married Life” — Up (2009) The first song on this list without lyrics, “Married Life” from Disney and Pixar’s Up, can be heard in all sorts of media and is featured at the Disney Parks — making it one of the most accessible songs in Disney’s archive. ©Disney The song plays during the opening sequence of the film, which depicts the love story of Ellie and Carl and their life together. The song — just as life — has ups and downs, picking up during joyous moments and slowing down and pulling out instruments during darker moments, such as Ellie’s failed pregnancy and her passing. This song is tied to beautiful filmmaking and one of Disney and Pixar’s most mature pieces of storytelling. It’s packed with hope, love, loss, and humanity. And, wow, does it do its best to overcome you with emotion. “Baby Mine” — Dumbo (1941) We’re going waaay back for this next one, which packs an incredible maternal punch. ©Disney “Baby Mine” from Dumbo is a lullaby sung by Dumbo’s mother, Mrs. Jumbo, who is caged in a circus wagon. With tears in her eyes, she reaches her trunk through the bars and rocks Dumbo to sleep as she sings to him. We also see other baby circus animals with their moms in this scene that beautifully depicts motherhood and the loving bonds between a mother and her baby. “Reflection” — Mulan (1998) Mulan has a lot of inspiring moments that can cause you to swell with emotion, and the “Reflection” number is a good example of that. ©Disney A powerful song about finding your identity and mustering up the strength to be yourself in the wake of failure and judgment is something everyone can relate to. It plays to a very real struggle that Disney Adults surely know a thing or two about. “You’ll Be In My Heart” — Tarzan (1999) The 90s just had so many great animated Disney films with banger musical hits, like Phil Collins’ “You’ll Be In My Heart” from Tarzan. ©Disney Another song about paternal love, Collins originally wrote this for his daughter and called it “Lullaby”. In the context of the film, it’s sung by Tarzan’s adoptive gorilla mother, Kala, who urges baby Tarzan to stop crying as she will love him forever and keep him safe. The older we get, the more sentimental this song gets. “When You Wish Upon a Star” — Pinocchio (1940) We can’t reminisce about nostalgic Disney songs and omit Disney’s signature song! The Blue Fairy Debuting in Disney’s Pinocchio classic, “When You Wish Upon a Star” has since become The Walt Disney Company’s feature song, appearing in commercials, in the parks, and as an intro to many of the company’s films. When we hear this song, we’re overcome with a rush of nostalgia that dates back to childhood. It’s a song that says “welcome home.” “Rainbow Connection” — The Muppet Movie (1979) Though the rights were acquired by Disney decades after its release, we’re counting The Muppet Movie as a Disney film and adding the beloved “Rainbow Connection” to this list. ©Disney The song was and remains a huge hit, and it’s not hard to see why. Wonderfully performed by Kermit the Frog, this song softly describes the beauty of realizing your purpose and the joy that comes with making others happy. It’s an optimistic piece of music that will always have relevance. “Nemo Egg (Main Title)” — Finding Nemo (2003) Another song without any lyrics, “Nemo Egg (Main Title)” from Finding Nemo, is a tune you’ll hear at the Disney Parks that can quickly transport you into a total state of emotion. ©Walt Disney Studios Composed by Thomas Newman, this score is soft and lovely, but also has some weight to it. Played at the beginning of the film, it can be heard as Marlin comforts his lone surviving egg (Nemo) after a barracuda attack that sees him lose his wife and the other eggs. This heartfelt melody finds a way to lull us into a warm embrace despite the chaos and destruction. “You’ve Got a Friend in Me” — Toy Story (1995) What better way to sum up our entire history with Disney than Toy Story‘s “You’ve Got a Friend in Me”? ©Disney/Pixar Since watching this first feature film from Pixar, we’ve grown up quite a bit, and Disney and Pixar have been with us throughout our journey. Randy Newman’s song perfectly captures our feelings of nostalgia, and every time we hear it, we feel like kids again. It’s this feeling that draws us back to Disney time and time again. Howdy! Not gonna lie, I had to fight back tears while writing this one. These songs represent some of my most beloved Disney memories and how I felt when hearing them initially. I’m sure many of you felt the same way. Disney is an integral part of our lives, just as it is in yours. Spirit Airlines As a result, the airline has been taking a hard look at the cities it serves and has already cut many routes to popular cities. Recently, though, the airline announced it would be cutting even MORE routes to popular cities, according to CBS News. Spirit Airlines, which is based in Florida, recently confirmed that it would cut routes to and from the following cities as of October 2nd: Albuquerque, NM Birmingham, AL Boise, ID Chattanooga, TN Oakland, CA Columbia, SC Portland, OR Sacramento, CA Salt Lake City, UT San Diego, CA San Jose, CA Spirit Airlines The company also confirmed it would cancel plans to launch service in Macon, GA, which was set to start on October 16th. Just last month, the company claimed it had “substantial doubt” about staying in business, citing less demand for leisure travel as well as “adverse market conditions.” Spirit Airlines plane Other airlines have recently swooped in to grab some of the routes that Spirit is dropping, including United Airlines and Frontier Airlines. 14. A beloved Magic Kingdom attraction is getting a much-needed upgrade! Big Thunder Mountain Railroad Big Thunder Mountain Railroad was closed in early January 2025 for a lengthy refurbishment and still remains closed today. While the ride isn’t slated to reopen until some point in 2026, Disney recently revealed some MAJOR upgrades that you can see and experience once “the wildest ride in the wilderness” is back up and running! Disney finally gave us tons of Big Thunder Mountain refurbishment updates! In an official release, Disney teased “new magic” coming to the ride, which opened initially in 1980. Story Disney teased a revamped plot, saying, “The story of Big Thunder Mountain Railroad dates back to Olden Times, or rather, Golden Times, during the early days of America’s first major gold rush. When Barnabas T. Bullion struck gold in the Big Thunder region, he saw a future full of riches and hustled to start the Big Thunder Mountain Company.” Mr. Bullion ©Disney However, “Bullion quickly found himself in a battle with the forces of nature”, and “strange and unexplainable things started happening” in the mine, such as failed machines and cave-ins. When the attraction reopens in 2026, “the unsuspectin’ passengers who board the runaway trains will learn just how wild the wilderness can get.” Refurb Details Disney is calling the project “a mountain-top to cavern-deep refurbishment meant to keep the classic attraction in tip-top shape, ready to delight guests who want to ride the rails for years to come.” The company teased some pretty cool additions that will debut next year. ©Disney One new feature will be “spectacular natural caverns full of phosphorescent pools, shimmering and illuminating iridescent stalagmites (the ones on the floor) and stalactites (the ones on the ceiling)” — but with a twist. “The Rainbow Caverns certainly are beautiful… but they ain’t as friendly as they first appear. In fact, that menacing rumble from deep within the mountain may be a sign that we ain’t welcome.” ©Disney All in all, the ride will also feature a new, smoother track, new lighting and effects, and an exterior touch-up of the ride to help it fit into the new Piston Peak Cars expansion. We’ll let you know about new Big Thunder Mountain updates as they roll out! 15. Who’s ready to skip the lines? Lightning Lane We keep track of all of Disney World’s Lightning Lane prices so you can know the cheapest and most expensive days to buy its skip-the-line system. The numbers are in for September, so let’s see what it’s going to cost if you want to skip the long lines at Disney World. There are three different types of Lightning Lanes: Lightning Lane Multi Pass, Lightning Lane Single Pass, and Lightning Lane Premier Pass. EVERYTHING YOU NEED TO KNOW ABOUT LIGHTNING LANES IN DISNEY WORLD Let’s talk Lightning Lanes Multi Pass is going to be your “generic” Lightning Lane, where you’ll choose rides you want to skip and only have a certain number you can book at the same time. Rides can tell you out for the day before you book them, but this is typically the most affordable option compared to the number of passes you get. Lightning Lane Single Pass will let you skip the line at a single attraction, once. It’s only for certain attractions and usually costs around the same as a Multi Pass, but you’ll only get to go on one of the attractions one time. These attractions are super popular in the parks. Lightning Lane Premier Pass is the ultimate Lightning Lane, where you get to skip the line at every attraction that has Lightning Lane without having to prebook. You simply show up and they let you through. This is your most expensive option. Mickey & Minnie’s Runaway Railway Lightning Lane We only have data up to September 24th, but this will give us a clear idea of what the Lightning Lane Passes cost in September 2025. 16. If you’re heading over to EPCOT soon, don’t expect to dine at its newest lounge. GEO-82 GEO-82 is a new 21+ lounge at EPCOT that opened to guests in June. Months later, we’re still struggling to book reservations! Surprisingly, the same can be said about the GE0-82 Fireworks Experience! Dates are practically booked up into November. Which may lead you to ask, “How can I get in?” While the prices were a turn-off for some, the vibe is immaculate at this Spaceship Earth-themed lounge, and the cocktails were out of this world. Look at this entrance! As an adults-only lounge, this spot offers a nice getaway from the hustle and bustle of EPCOT. You’re even handed a cold “tranquility scented towel when you enter! It’s all very upscale, and offers a sophisticated menu that features “global flavors blended with culinary artistry in classic cocktails and small plates.” Scented towels We loved several things we tried! The Truffled Ahi Tuna with Japanese Whisky Barrel-aged Soy-Truffle Ponzu, Citrus, Scallion, Tobiko, and Black Sesame Seeds is $23 and absolutely beautiful. The texture really stands out, and the acidic flavors work super well. The ponzu adds a touch of complexity to the overall flavor, and — overall — it’s tough to find something this elevated in the parks. Truffled Ahi Tuna The Caramelized Leek Martini for $26 is made with Ford’s Gin, Dolin Dry Vermouth de Chambéry, Caramelized Leek, and Pickled Onion. It’s incredible that this thing actually works, but the leek-infused gin and a regular gin mixed together create a great balance of pungent, tangy, and savory flavors with a hint of sweetness from the caramelization. Not everyone will enjoy this, but if you like pickled onions in your salad or eating pearl onions, you may dig this. We certainly did. Caramelized Leek Martini The Strawberry-Black Pepper Sour costs $25 and is made with Campari Liqueur, Luxardo Maraschino Liqueur, Strawberry, Lemon, and Black Pepper. It’s unique, but offers a lovely strawberry flavor, and is sort of like a daiquiri meets a martini with that touch of black pepper zing. Great strawberry flavor The gorgeous Clarified New York Sour for $26 is another winner and is made with Old Forester 1920 Prohibition Style Bourbon, Lustau Amontillado Sherry, Yuzu, Lemon, and Red Wind Float. Each sip has a different taste, and the bourbon is milk-washed, which softens the traditional, bitter edges of the bourbon. We found this to be a great introduction for those looking to get into bourbon. Clarified New York Sour We also tried the Exclusive Disney Select Bourbon Flight for $49 and had lots of strong thoughts. The flight comes with Uncle Nearest Single Barrel, Woodford Reserve Single Barrel, Blanton’s Gold Single Barrel, and Stagg Private Barrel. It’s served on a Spaceship Earth tray with the bourbons in order from lowest proof to highest. One important element to note about GEO-82 is that you are currently limited to ordering two drinks at a time per person. The bourbon flight counts as two drinks, so you have to finish the flight before getting your next drink. Exclusive Disney Select Bourbon Flight The Uncle Nearest and Woodford Reserve are beautiful sipping bourbons, the Blanton’s Gold is a common bourbon many may have already tried, and the Stagg Private was incredibly complex. Overall, bourbon lovers are going to have a blast trying these four small pours. We really enjoyed all four bourbons How to Get a Reservation But enough glazing the lounge…let’s get down to brass tacks. With no walk-up list available, reservations are your only chance at experiencing GEO-82. So how can you snag one? Sit at at the bar…trust us. You can try to book the Fireworks Experience at $179 per person — which gets you “a tasting tower of savory light bites, sweet selections, Champagne poured tableside, and event-exclusive cocktails” along with incredible views of “Luminous: The Symphony of Us.” But as I previously mentioned, even this is booked up. Luminous as seen from GEO-82 You can always bank on cancellations. You don’t see any reservations right now? Check again. And then check again after that. Oh, and then check again after that. While I was writing this, a random October weekday had one reservation open up for a party of two, so you never know. It is free to check the My Disney Experience app, and it never hurts to look. Keep refreshing. GEO-82 The best advice, though? Book 60 days out at 6 AM ET. This is when new reservations open up, and it’s better to fight in real-time (digitally, of course) for a spot rather than banking on people to cancel their visit to the most popular location in EPCOT right now. Liquid I.V. — which you can buy right now on Amazon — contains a bunch of salt, sugar, and vitamins. Each stick is packed with a ton of sodium, potassium, and glucose (sugar), with sodium being the primary ingredient. You’ll also find C and B vitamins. Altogether, these ingredients help your body retain fluids, absorb water when paired with electrolytes, restore muscle function, and maintain wellness. Special flavors also come with some natural flavoring to add some tartness. ©Amazon So far, we know it’s not a phony product and actually works. Whether you’re trying to recover from a hangover or have had a bad spell of dehydration, Liquid I.V. actually does deliver faster than water alone. These packs are also convenient and diverse. The single-serve packets are easy to throw in your park bag, and they come in fun flavors that make plain water taste better. You’ll also find blends like Energy (with caffeine), Sleep (with melatonin), and Immune Support. It’s also allergy-friendly, gluten-free, soy-free, and vegan — making it universally usable. Liquid I.V. Hydration Multiplier There are, however, some notable downsides. We already mentioned how salty each pack is, and if you’re not actually losing a lot of fluid (say, you’re just strolling through an air-conditioned building or chilling on Living with the Land), you probably don’t need it. It’s also sugary and can cause energy crashes if you’re drinking it all day. Water fountain and refill station If you don’t feel like Liquid I.V. is a necessity, it’s also a sunk cost. For most Disney guests, plain water is enough. Electrolyte powders are mainly useful if you’re sweating hard, sick, or dehydrated from travel. And Disney LEGALLY has to offer free water, which you can find all over the Resort. If you bring your own bottle from home, you can fill up and never pay for a drink. Every quick-service restaurant offers free cups of ice water if you ask, and some other locations will often give you water too. Water Fountain Refill Station Still, it never hurts to have a few packs in case of an emergency. It all comes down to your packing preferences. We’ve been saved by Liquid I.V. before, and we’ve also been fine without it. If you’re interested in picking up a pack for yourself, click the link below! 20. If you’re traveling to Disney World and you’re planning to drive or rent a car at the airport, you’ll need to know about parking at Disney World hotels, as well as the theme parks. Bring Disney to your car! For example, you’ll need to know that you can’t drive directly to Magic Kingdom — instead, you have to park at the Transportation and Ticket Center and take the Monorail to Magic Kingdom. However, there are two unspoken parking rules that we see people breaking ALL the time, so we wanted to give you a heads up to make parking at Disney World a little easier and more convenient. If you’re driving to the parks, there are a few things you should be aware of as you enter the parks. When you get to the park entrance, you can and SHOULD drive to the shortest line at the parking toll booths. You may think you’re supposed to go to the one on the driver’s side, but you don’t have to do that. Driving in Basically, if a light at a parking toll booth is green, that booth is available. We see people (allllll the time) immediately pull into the longest lines because they think that’s where they’re supposed to go. But look around and check those booths with a green light with shorter lines, and you’ll get into the parks a lot faster. Driving to EPCOT Okay, now let’s talk about parking. Once you’re through the booths, you’ll notice that all four parks have two lanes you can choose to drive through. Okay, so we see so many people getting in the lane with the most cars, because, again, they think that’s where they’re supposed to go. So you end up with a backed-up line of cars trying to park. Parking lot at Hollywood Studios Well, here’s what you should do: get in that second lane (the one with the shorter line of cars). There will be a Cast Member alternating lanes at the end because guess what? BOTH lanes will be parking at the same time, so if you’re in the lane with the shorter line, you could park faster than you would otherwise. That might not ALWAYS be the case, but it will still help traffic flow for everyone if you don’t just get in the lane with the most cars. Animal Kingdom parking lot So you’ll want to keep those things in mind if you’re driving in Disney World? However, if you’re staying at a Disney World hotel, you can take advantage of Disney’s FREE transportation to get to and from the parks, too. Mickey pumpkin wreath in Magic Kingdom When it comes to Halloween decorations, everyone (yes, everyone) loves the Mickey light-up pumpkins. They’re a fan-favorite every year, and they sell out all the time. Disney just released new Mickey pumpkins online, cute, small versions of them, and they are instantly popular! Get the Mickey Light-Up Pumpkin ©Disney Store It doesn’t take much for us to fall in love with this Mickey Mouse Halloween Pumpkin Light-Up Decor! The decoration is said to be made for indoor use only, so just be aware of how you choose to use it. This decoration is smaller than the iconic light-up jack-o-lantern, but it is also a lot cheaper. Of course, this one pairs very well with the Minnie Mouse pumpkin! View online Pair it with this Minnie Mouse Light-Up Pumpkin ©Disney Store You can’t have Mickey without the Minnie Mouse Light-Up Pumpkin! Just like the Mickey one, it is recommended that this be used as indoor decor. This is also a smaller piece in comparison to the popular full-size light-up jack-o-lantern. 22. The EPCOT Food and Wine Festival is HERE, and we were there on day ONE, doing all things and EATING all the things. But there was one thing we hadn’t done…at least until now. Breakfast! This year, Disney World brought back the Parisian Breakfast at Chefs de France to the EPCOT Food & Wine Festival. And we haven’t been able to do that since 2019, so we decided to check it out to see if it’s still as good as we remember. Atmosphere Chefs de France is located in the France Pavilion. When we arrived, there was a long line to get in. We were hearing some people complaining about the experience because instead of having people staggered for reservations, the buffet just opened up to everyone at the same time, so it felt a little disorganized. This could be one of those opening day kinks that quickly gets worked out, though, so don’t let that deter you! There was a line to get in One thing to note is that an early breakfast reservation won’t get you into the park early, so you’ll have to enter the park when it opens and book it over to the France Pavilion to get to the restaurant when it opens for the breakfast buffet. Or you can use the Early Theme Park Entry hotel perk if that’s available to you. Inside, there is plenty of seating, with tables and chairs. There are multiple dining spaces, including two sunrooms. Seating Some booth seating is also available. Booth seating Once your table is ready, you’ll be escorted through the dining room and past the buffet to your table. During our visit, this was a shared dining experience, so we shared a table with other people. That said, we were a party of one, so you may not have the same experience. One note to add: it can get loud in here. Table The buffet is out in the open and has two different sides, but both have the same food. The buffet will be available during this time every Friday and Saturday from 9 AM through 10:30 AM. But enough about the restaurant — what’s on the menu here?! Menu So this is a buffet with a large selection of baguettes, breads, croissants, pastries, sliced meats, charcuterie, cheese, quiche, and more. You also get unlimited mimosas, fruit juices, and freshly brewed coffee. The cost is $64.95 per person. ©Disney And now, onto the main event — the food! Eats So this is more of a light bite buffet, but we will say the meats were great, although there aren’t a lot of options. The cheeses, though, well, they are the BEST here. The goat cheese (the little balls of cheese in the photo) is super savory and tart and SO creamy. It also spreads so easily over the bread. Cheeses The breads are also fantastic. The baguette we had was wonderful — toasted on the outside, soft and pillowy on the inside, just like you would expect a good baguette to be. Baguette However, we were a little disappointed with the croissants. They’re pretty basic. Just a simple buttery croissant. This is similar to what you’d find elsewhere, like at a grocery store. They don’t really taste like a house-made pastry either. The croissants disappointed us However, with that said, one of the best we had was the egg croissant, which had a really thin layer of scrambled eggs mixed into its center. It was buttery and crispy on the outside, and the layer of egg was just right, neither too thick nor too thin. Egg croissant The quiche was very eggy, which is basically what quiche is billed as. We would have preferred more veggies in it, though. It also didn’t have a lot of flavor. The tomato and a little dollop of cream cheese on the top help, but not enough. Quiches The seasonal fruits are nice and fresh. You get a good selection of strawberries, cantaloupe, melon, blueberries, and pineapple. Seasonal fruit Overall, you don’t get a lot of hot foods. This is mostly cold selections, so keep that in mind. Drinks We obviously had to try the unlimited mimosas. Now these are pretty standard, a champagne with orange juice. It’s tart and it’s bubbly. We also loved that they met you at the door with a mimosa. NICE. Mimosa We were offered coffee when we got to the table. We ordered it black, but they’ll bring cream and sugar out for you. Coffee It tastes like regular Joffrey’s coffee, but it was potent, so you might like to add that cream and sugar. Nosh or Not Book this special breakfast buffet if… You’re celebrating a special occasion. This buffet is a great way to celebrate a birthday, anniversary, or any other event. You want a “true” Parisian light bite breakfast. This is a traditional light Parisian breakfast with light bites and mostly cold food. Dining inside the beautiful Chefs de France also adds to that Parisian ambiance. Unlimited mimosas. If anything, you’re getting your money’s worth here just by indulging in unlimited coffee and mimosas. You should skip this breakfast if… You don’t want a quick breakfast. This is a table service experience (albeit a buffet), so it will take a while to dine here. If you just want a quick French breakfast, head over to the nearby Les Halles Boulangerie Patisserie instead. You don’t like eating with strangers. You may share a table with other people (or be seated close by), so if that’s not your thing, you might not want to book a breakfast here. You’re on a budget. $65 is a lot to spend on breakfast, so if you’re on a budget, you might want to save those $$$ and spend them at the food booths at the EPCOT Food & Wine Festival instead. Overall In the past, we’ve really enjoyed this buffet, and it’s nice to see this option back in EPCOT. The food was pretty enjoyable, with some items better than others, but it is mostly cold food. It’s not the best breakfast buffet in Disney World, but it is one of the most unique and sophisticated. This would make for a great special occasion breakfast or even a breakfast date with your closest friends, especially with the unlimited mimosas. 25. For decades, LEGO and Disney have joined forces to bring beloved stories and characters to life in brick form, delighting both kids and adult fans alike. LEGO Store at Disney Springs From magical castles and Pixar favorites to Star Wars and Marvel blockbusters, these sets aren’t just toys. They are collectors’ treasures that capture the heart of storytelling in a detailed, buildable form. For many fans, LEGO Disney sets offer the perfect blend of nostalgia and creativity, making them centerpiece display pieces as much as they are playful builds. DISCLOSURE: This post may contain affiliate links, meaning when you click the links and make a purchase, we receive a commission. LEGO has teamed up with Disney to bring us set #10365: Captain Jack Sparrow’s Pirate Ship, a stunning Icons series build that revisits the eerie allure of the Black Pearl, once known as the Wicked Wench, in breathtaking detail. Designed specifically for adult builders aged 18 and up, this model boasts a whopping 2,862 pieces, forming a grand structure that measures about 26″ tall and wide, and around 10″deep. The release for this set will kick off with early access for LEGO Insiders on September 12, before the general launch on September 15, 2025. But get this, you can already buy it from the Disney Store! ©LEGO Buy Online ©LEGO This isn’t just a static display piece. LEGO’s designers packed it with interactive charm. A clever gear mechanism lets you deploy all eight cannons at once, while the ship’s wheel actually turns the rudder. Want to go from display mode to sailing mode? You can! The hull splits at the waterline for an angled display or a dynamic “sailing” pose. The build also reveals interior detail when you remove parts of the deck. Inside, you’ll find a richly furnished captain’s cabin and a cargo bay. Additional touches include a detachable rowboat, a figurehead styled as a minifigure, and special cloth sails for added realism. View on Disney Store No pirate ship is complete without its ragtag crew. This set includes eight exclusive minifigures: Captain Jack Sparrow, Will Turner, Elizabeth Swann, Hector Barbossa (with undead pieces), Gibbs, Cotton (with his parrot), Anamaria, and Marty. These favorite characters bring life to the model, which is perfect for reenacting classic scenes or spinning your own tales of swashbuckling adventure. ©LEGO This epic build is priced at $379.99 USD. Early purchasers from LEGO.com will receive a special Gift with Purchase: a small, 151-piece Captain Jack Sparrow’s Compass set, making for another fun display piece. While that price puts it in the upper tier of LEGO sets, the intricate mechanics, iconic theme, and collectible value make this a standout both on the shelf and in any fan’s collection.
