Every single time we go to Disney World, we run into the same problem — a dying phone! Cinderella Castle Whether it’s from checking wait times, taking photos and videos, or mobile ordering food, our phone always seems to struggle maintaining its battery life. Thanks to this find on Amazon, our life has been saved (literally)! DISCLOSURE: This post may contain affiliate links, meaning when you click the links and make a purchase, we receive a commission. We love the INIU Portable Charger INIU Portable Charger Every Disney World trip we go on, we make sure to never forget our trusty INIU Portable Charger! This is a handheld portable charger or power bank for your electronics on the go. The charger is 38% off and is sitting at BELOW $20 right now. It’s a heck of a deal! The charger has multiple charging ports for devices to be plugged in at the same time. It’s also a mix between USB-C and USB ports, giving you a variety of options for various plug types for things like phones, watches, cameras, headphones, and more to charge. Portable Charger The charger is small and compact, and it charges faster than its previous model, even when plugged up to charge while in use. Also, it doubles as a small flashlight, so if you double-tap the power button, you can toggle that small light off and on. The biggest pro has to be the faster, longer charge for when plugged in and that it’s capable of holding a longer charge than the original model we tried. INIU Portable Charger It comes with a carrying strap already attached to it, which is nice, but there’s no charging cord included to use with it when you need to charge the power bank. Since sometimes these can be different wattages to charge properly, it would have been ideal to have included a cable and block meant to charge the power bank, rather than guessing and hoping you don’t send it too much or too little power when charging it. INIU Charger It 100% made our trip easier. There are lots of portable chargers out there, but this one is much slimmer than what we typically carry around. It doesn’t set off the alarm at the security scans like we’ve had Fuel Rods do in the past. It’s reliable, durable, capable, easy to use, multifunctional, and priced well — we’re giving it a 5/5! FULL Review of The Sanctum on The Disney Destiny
Disney4me posted a topic in Disney Food/Restaurants
We’ve been enjoying our preview of the Disney Destiny, the newest ship in the Disney Cruise Line fleet. We’ve seen heroes and villains, and we’ve enjoyed EVERY minute of it. These drinks are so cool Well, one of the lounges on the ship takes you inside Doctor Strange’s sanctum. So come with us as we visit The Sanctum to learn more about the mystical arts (and have a drink or two in the process). Atmosphere The Sanctum is based on Doctor Strange, so the entire lounge has a whole mystical vibe going on. You’ll spot a lot of details that might look familiar from the Marvel Cinematic Universe and Doctor Strange movies. The Sanctum We also love that there are a lot of different types of seating in the lounge. You’ll find large booths… Look at this booth! …smaller tables with comfy chairs… More seating …and a few seating areas that are tucked away for ultimate privacy in case you need to discuss some private mystical arts research you’ve been working on. This lounge really FEELS like a place to lounge. This booth is VERY tucked away Before you take a seat, though, be sure to look around at all the details. You’ll spot quite a few Marvel Easter eggs. Inside The Sanctum You’ll certainly feel like you’ve stepped into Doctor Strange’s world. The place is littered with magical artifacts that Doctor Strange has collected over the years. Artifacts You’ll even find some mystical arts-related details on the carpet. Check out the carpet details You might notice quickly that The Sanctum is more than just a lounge. You might also catch some tableside performances by mixology sorcerers. A Mixology Sorcerer But enough about the lounge — what’s on the menu here?! Menu The menu features food and drinks inspired by the mystical arts. The menu You’ll be able to drink a variety of alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages, including mocktails, spirits, and coffee. You’ll also find a few snacks on the menu (including waffles). The Sanctum Menu And now, onto the main event — the food! Eats We weren’t really here to check out the food, but we had to try the Mystic Waffles with Custard or Mixed Berry, served with Maple Syrup or Hazelnut Spread for $5. It is a tiny portion, but for that price, what do you expect? The waffle itself was fresh (and it’s served warm, so you can tell they’re making them to order). It was crispy, moist, and comforting. The custard wasn’t overpowering, and it was so creamy that it melted in the mouth. Mystic Waffles We had previously tried the Mixed Berry option, but we think the custard version is even better. Now, we wouldn’t go out of our way to get this, as you can get so much food that’s already included with the price of the cruise. But if you want a fun dessert or need a snack while enjoying drinks in The Sanctum, it’s a good option for that. Drinks To drink, we ordered the Infinite Bubbles, made with Empress Gin, and Crème de Violette Joto, The Citrus One Sake for $17. This drink packs a PUNCH. Like that first sip makes you feel like you’re being sucked through a portal to an alternate universe. The main flavor is the gin, which is slightly floral, although the sake adds a touch of sweetness. You also get a subtle black cherry flavor after a few sips, but this drink is basically a one-note mystic spell. Infinite Bubbles The Vapors of Valtor (you have to love these drink names, right?) is made with Grey Goose Altus, Butterfly Pea Lemon, and Fever Tree Ginger Beer for $25. This drink SCREAMS butterfly pea. It’s very floral, but then you get some acidity from the lemon. It’s light and sweet. The ginger beer adds just a touch of flavor. We would say it’s sort of like drinking a garden, so if that’s your thing, this one’s for you. Vapors of Valtor The Mirror Dimension is made with Stoli Elit, Lychee, Strawberry Pink Peppercorn, and Fever Tree Lime & Yuzu for $22. This was a well-balanced drink with a nice sweetness from the lychee and yuzu. It’s also very interesting to look at. The Stoli Elit comes in at the back end with each sip, so you get that nice vodka flavor. It’s not a drink we’d go out of our way for, but if you don’t like super-sweet drinks, it’s a good option. Mirror Dimension It also comes in a glass that reacts to your touch, sort of like those lightning balls at the science museum. SO cool. The glass is so cool! The Distortion Effect is made with Angel’s Envy Single Barrel High Seas Edition, and Lillet Rouge Bitters for $25. This is like an old fashioned, if the old fashioned had even more whiskey in it. It’s a LOT of whiskey, y’all. It tastes pretty much like you’re drinking whiskey straight. We’re also shocked at how big this drink is. We’ll be seeing multiverse portals for sure after knocking one or two of these back. But, yeah, if you love whiskey, this is your drink. The Distortion Effect Next up was the Eye Opener, which is made with Saigon Baigur, Lemon, Smoked Oolong Tea, and Amaro Montenegro for $15. It’s VERY unique, but not a favorite of ours. It’s simple, too, but the taste was…a lot. It kinda’ has a breakfasty thing going on because it’s savory and robust, thanks to the tea, which is the most forward flavor. It’s served in two glasses, but the server explained that you can enjoy it by yourself, if you want. The presentation is also cool. They bring it to the table, and the cup hooks onto the teapot, which tilts and pours. Disney really thought a lot about making these presentations seem mystical. Eye Opener Next up, we tried The Incursion, with Absolut Citron, Cointreau, Aperol Lillet Blanc, and White Cranberry for $16. Yes, this is basically a Cosmopolitan, and that’s about all we have. If you love a good Cosmo, order it. Otherwise, we think there are far more interesting drinks on the menu. The Incursion We also ordered The Darkhold, with Amaro Averna, Patrón XO Cafe Agave Nectar, Milk, Salted Caramel Ethel M Chocolates for $15. Y’all. We would fight Scarlet Witch for this drink. It’s a nice dessert drink that’s served warm with a fun presentation. It comes out with a Moka pot with the drink in the top half. The server pours it out in front of you and then unscrews the bottom, where a truffle comes out. Below that is a salted caramel foam that dissolves into the drink when poured in. The Darkhold It’s a nice after-dinner drink that’s sweet and easy to sip on. You can taste a bit of the alcohol, though. The truffle was also really nice. It has a thin chocolate shell, and the inside is SO creamy. Nosh or Not Transport yourself to The Sanctum if… You’re a big Marvel or Doctor Strange fan. There are so many details in this bar alone that you’ll recognize from the MCU and Marvel Comics that you could spend HOURS here just checking it all out. You want unique drinks with cool presentations. We’ll admit that we were wowed by some of the presentations of these drinks. You really feel like you’re watching magic happen in real time. You want a lounge experience that’s different. This bar definitely feels like a lounge, and it’s a pretty comfy spot to stop by and get a drink, but at the same time, it’s also like you’ve stepped into the MCU, with theming that’s top-notch. You should skip this Disney World spot if… You’re not a big Doctor Strange fan. Although you may enjoy this bar on its own merits, everything here, including the drinks, is themed around the world of Doctor Strange. That may or may not be your thing. You’re on a budget. The drinks here aren’t exactly inexpensive, so you might want to skip if you’re on a budget. You want a quick drink. During our experience here, there were 12-15 tables plus the bar, but only a few servers to handle all the tables. That could change when the bar officially opens, though. Overall We were blown away by the theming in The Sanctum, and we picked up on a lot of details based on what we know from all the MCU movies. Die-hard Doctor Strange fans will certainly want to visit, but if you’re interested in anything Marvel, we think you would appreciate. The drinks are also well-presented (sometimes in unique ways) and well-thought-out, so we think this lounge is worth your time and money. There’s a NEW hotel coming to Disney World, and we’re keeping a close eye on construction. Lakeshore Lodge Concept Art ©Disney Disney Lakeshore Lodge is currently being constructed on the shores of Bay Lake in the Magic Kingdom area. It’s going to be a hotel that blends Disney stories with the natural environment, and we can’t wait to see it in person! But long before that happens, we’ve got a construction update to share. I recently made a trip to Disney’s Wilderness Lodge on a day reporting in Disney World, and while I was there, I headed out to the boat dock to hitch a ride to Magic Kingdom. From the boat launch, you can spot Lakeshore Lodge clearly across the water! Let me just say…things are coming along quickly. There it is! Zooming in on the construction a bit, you can see that the structures are formed for the hotel rooms in the tower-style buildings, and it looks like they’re in the process of adding glass doors to the balconies. There’s still plenty of exterior theming to be done, as things look a little bare at this stage. A closer look Based on construction, it looks like the hotel will also be home to multiple A-frame waterfront cabins. Some of these frames have been installed, but they don’t have much in the way of interior support yet — they’ve got a long way to go on some of these. But seriously, it looks like these cabins are going to have spectacular views! The cabins! This resort is set to open in 2027, so we have another full year before construction is complete, at least. They’re making really quick progress so far, and we can’t wait to get more details in the coming months. So far, the information is pretty basic. via @bioreconstruct on X/Twitter We’ll make sure to keep you in the loop as we get more announcements. Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party has returned for the 2025 season, and we’re ready to PARTAYYYY! Magic Kingdom During Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party! This party offers some spectacular entertainment, unique characters, and a holly jolly atmosphere, but one of our top priorities when we stop by is the FOOD (it’s in our name, after all). Last year, we had some really delicious eats at the party that sadly haven’t returned for 2025! Main Street Bakery At the Starbucks on Main Street, U.S.A., there has previously been a treat called the Letter to Santa. This was made with flourless chocolate cake, hot cocoa mousse, and marshmallow topped with chocolate pieces. Letter to Santa Sadly, this cute little mailbox-shaped treat won’t be making a return in 2025. Plaza Ice Cream Parlor In 2024, we tried the Peppermint Cookie Sandwich at Plaza Ice Cream Parlor, and it was a MUST for peppermint fans with peppermint ice cream sandwiched between two oatmeal-peppermint chip cookies and rolled in candy cane pieces. Peppermint Ice Cream Cookie Sandwich This reminded us a lot of the ice cream sandwiches that used to be served at Dino-Bite Snacks, and we’re sad to see that it has been removed from the menu this year. Casey’s Corner Casey’s Corner typically gets some version of holiday-themed hot dog and fries each year, and last year’s offerings were the Holiday Dinner Loaded Fries and Holiday Dinner Hot Dog. The fries were topped with turkey and gravy, fried onions, and cranberry sauce. A whole Thanksgiving meal! Holiday Dinner Loaded French Fries The hot dog was an all-beef hot dog with turkey and gravy, fried onions, and cranberry sauce. We’ll be interested to compare the fries and hot dog to this year’s versions. Aloha Isle Magic Kingdom’s most famous DOLE Whip spot had two floats on the menu last year that won’t be coming back. First was the Holiday Pineapple-Orange-Guava Float with pineapple-orange-guava juice, coconut soft-serve, and a spiced pineapple tree. This was refreshing and fun, and we’ll definitely miss it! Holiday Pineapple-Orange-Guava Juice Float The other item was the Cranberry Citrus Float made with Sprite Winter Spiced Cranberry and fruity boba pearls topped with DOLE Whip. Golden Oak Outpost Over in Frontierland, Golden Oak Outpost had a couple of things that aren’t coming back, starting with the Holiday Chicken Nugget Platter. It had chicken nuggets with sage butter and cranberry barbecue glaze served with mashed potatoes and corn. This was kind of like if you turned a kid’s meal into a holiday dish. Holiday Chicken Nugget Platter The Fried Ice Cream Christmas Tree also won’t return in 2025. It was peppermint ice cream rolled in cereal, topped with green cookie butter whipped cream and festive sprinkles. This was one of the party’s more unique treats, but peppermint ice cream can really be hit or miss. Fried Ice Cream Christmas Tree Pecos Bill Tall Tale Inn & Cafe Another two treats joining this list were available at Pecos Bill in 2024. First was the Salted Caramel Horchata, which was a fun, festive twist on this classic beverage. Salted Caramel Horchata The Chocolate Eggnog Tart is also not returning, which is a shame because it was so stinkin’ cute with its little reindeer antlers. It was simply a chocolate tart topped with eggnog mousse and chocolate antlers. This little reindeer is the cutest! Sleepy Hollow Refreshments Three sweet treats have left Sleepy Hollow Refreshments. First was the Brownie Peppermint Bark (fairly self-explanatory in description), along with the Milk and Cookies Mousse. That one was a brown sugar cookie cake topped with chocolate chip cookie dough mousse, milk mousse, and chocolate chip cookies. Milk and Cookies Mousse The Holiday Red Velvet Waffle Sundae is also gone, which is a shame! It was a massive red velvet waffle topped with M&M’S Milk Chocolate Candies, peppermint ice cream, and hot fudge. Definitely made for someone with a sweet tooth. Holiday Waffle Sundae Pinocchio Village Haus Pinocchio Village Haus is getting a menu overhaul for this year’s event. Typically, the offerings here are Italian-adjacent, which stands for last year’s Baked Brie Flatbread. Baked Brie Flatbread The other item we tried here in 2024 was the Black Forest Parfait, made with flourless chocolate cake with chocolate mousse and cherry chantilly, topped with brandy-cherry compote and chocolate popping candies. Black Forest Parfait The Friar’s Nook Quite a few things are leaving The Friar’s Nook in 2025. Say goodbye to the Italian Beef Tots, Sugar Cookie Hand Pie, Toasted Marshmallow-Panna Cotta Tart, and Eggnog Shake. Italian Beef Tots This spot often gets loaded tots and interesting hand pies, so the menu varies a bit from year to year with flavors. Storybook Treats Sugar plum-vanilla soft-serve swirl dipped in celebration cake cone dip topped with marshmallows and almonds made up the Sugar Plum Vanilla Soft-Serve Sundae at Storybook Treats. Sugar Plum Sundae This one stuck around for two years, and it was pretty darn delicious, so we’ll be sad to see it go! Hopefully, we’ll get something truly spectacular in its place. Cosmic Ray’s Starlight Cafe There’s a pretty significant shake-up at Cosmic Ray’s Starlight Cafe in 2025. They’re dropping the Christmas Cookie Cake Roll, Christmas Punch, and Peppermint Éclair. Peppermint Eclair However, they are keeping some beloved entrees on the holiday party menu, so this is a good place to stop for a more filling meal. Auntie Gravity’s Galactic Goodies Last but not least, we’ve got to mention Auntie Gravity’s, which is losing the Lump of Coal In Your Stocking and Smoky Chocolate Brownie Sundae, the latter of which was one of 2024’s most unique treats. Lump of Coal in Your Stocking We’ll make sure to keep you in the loop with any more holiday snack reviews — there are quite literally dozens of options to try around Disney World this season. Disney+ has changed quite a bit since it first rolled out in 2019, and it doesn’t sound like those changes will be stopping anytime soon. ©Disney We recently saw a new horizontal navigation bar with separate tabs for “For You,” Disney+, Hulu, and ESPN roll out, and Disney is promising more personalized recommendations, too, based on what you’ve watched in the past. But, during a recent earnings call, Disney revealed that even more personalization is on the way — with some help from AI. The Walt Disney Company held its earnings call for Q4 and the entirety of fiscal year 2025 on November 13th, and we learned a bit more about the future of Disney+. During the question-and-answer portion of the call, CEO Bob Iger and CFO Hugh Johnston were asked about how Disney+ subscribers would be able to engage with parks and other assets (like Disney Cruise Line) on the app. ©Disney Iger said that Disney+ is in the midst of rolling out the biggest and most significant changes to the app in terms of products. He continued by saying that there would be even greater personalization in the future with a more dynamic Disney+ overall. Disney has already turned Hulu into its premier “global entertainment brand,” and they are looking to create a “one app experience” with the help of Artificial Intelligence to create a “portal to all things Disney.” ©Disney In addition, there is also an opportunity for more commerce on the app — meaning you’ll be able to shop Disney products directly from Disney+, as well as content and integration that will entice people to visit the theme parks and Disney Cruise Line. Plus, with the recent EPIC Games partnership, there are also opportunities for games to be added to the app (though Iger did add that a majority of this partnership will be based on EPIC platforms). Cinderella Castle The final thing Iger said regarding Disney+ changes was that he was excited about AI being able to provide users with an “engaged experience,” with future opportunities to potentially create and consume user-generated content from others. Of course, we don’t have many more details about potential AI integration or what that might look like, but we’ll let you know if that changes. ©Disney We’ll be on the lookout for more Disney+ updates you need to know about! If you’ve ever strolled through EPCOT’s United Kingdom Pavilion, you know it’s full of cozy charm with cobblestone streets, red phone boxes, and a classic pub that feels like it’s been plucked straight from across the pond. But our readers from the UK are sharing their rules for visiting! UK Pavilion We asked our readers on Facebook what they ALWAYS or NEVER do when visiting the UK Pavilion, and let’s just say… they did not hold back! Here are the unspoken rules our British readers swear by when visiting EPCOT’s little slice of home, and why it should matter to you. 1. Never Buy a Drink You’d Never Touch Back Home “Who actually in the UK drinks Harp?” asked Gemma McKenna, and that sentiment got a LOT of nods from fellow Brits. While EPCOT might boast an impressive international drink menu, locals from across the pond say the UK Pavilion’s selection feels a bit… questionable. Simon Cavendish, though, admits he orders a snakebite (a half-cider, half-lager mix) because it reminds him of his teenage years, and Disney is the one place he can enjoy it without judgment. Cheers to that! Fish and Chips and a Snakebite 2. Beware the Fish and Chips Debate Fish and chips may seem like the obvious order here, but apparently, it’s a controversial choice. Gemma McKenna and Simon Cavendish say they “never” get them because they “just don’t taste as good as back home.” Others, like Helen Bullard, always go for it anyway because she loves the Rose & Crown’s version (even if the portion size is “un-Britishly big”). And Jo Pagdin says she can’t resist because it’s the only place she’s found that serves proper malt vinegar. Verdict? You’ll have to taste (and judge) for yourself. Fish and Chips 3. Don’t Expect the Bathrooms To Feel British According to Andrew Sims, the first sign you’re not really in the UK is the word “Restrooms” instead of “Toilets.” And Stacey Warren-Clarke was quick to add that the stalls definitely aren’t built to British standards because the gaps between the doors can be… well, alarming. If you are from the UK, prepare for a little bathroom culture shock before you wash your hands and move on! UK Restrooms 4. Prepare To Laugh (or Cry) at the Prices “HOW MUCH??????” was Dan Miller’s immediate reaction after checking the UK Pavilion merchandise. From T-shirts to teacups to tins of shortbread, our readers can’t help but chuckle (or groan) at the price tags. Stacey Brady also mentioned she laughs every time she sees how expensive the chocolate bars are, especially when she knows she could get them for a fraction of the cost back home. But hey, that’s Disney pricing for you! Merchandise 5. It’s Not a Real Trip Without a Pint (Even a Pricey One) Helen Bullard’s husband insists on grabbing a Guinness every single time, even if it’s “ridiculously high priced.” Why? Because it’s an imperial pint, and that makes it feel just a bit more authentic. Sure, it might not be the cheapest pint he’s ever had, but sipping it while people-watching in EPCOT’s version of a cozy pub? Priceless. Guinness 6. Chat Up the Cast Members James Newton told us he always talks to the Cast Members to see if anyone’s from his hometown, and apparently, that’s a bit of a UK Pavilion tradition! Many guests love that the pavilion is staffed with folks from all over the United Kingdom, so you might just run into someone from your neck of the woods. It’s a small world, after all, and spotting a familiar accent adds a little extra magic to your visit. United Kingdom crowds 7. Skip It Altogether For some, the UK Pavilion isn’t exactly a must-do. Esme Bailey said her family usually just walks straight through: “We can get it all at home, so we’d rather spend the time finding new things to try and do.” And honestly, fair enough, when you’ve traveled all the way to Florida, you might be more interested in the sushi in Japan or pastries in France. EPCOT’s all about exploring the world, after all! UK Pavilion 8. Petition for Greggs Dan Miller joked that the UK Pavilion desperately needs a Greggs, and anyone who’s ever had one of those famous sausage rolls knows he’s right. Imagine grabbing a warm steak bake or jam doughnut while strolling through EPCOT, because that’s the kind of magic British guests are dreaming of. United Kingdom Pavilion It might not be exactly like home, but that’s part of its charm. It’s a place where familiarity meets a touch of Disney magic (and maybe a slightly overpriced pint). Disney is always dropping new announcements, and it just shared a bunch, mostly about how the company is doing financially. Magic Kingdom Recently, Disney released its fourth-quarter fiscal year 2025 earnings report and held its earnings call. The Walt Disney Company shared new information about Disney+, the theme parks, and more. Ready to learn more? Financial Results First up, we’ve got a glimpse at Disney’s financial overview. Revenues for Q4 were similar to Q4 2024 with $22.5 billion. Things actually improved year-to-year, with a 3% increase for the fiscal year, totalling $94.4 billion in revenue. Pre-tax income also increased from last year, with a fiscal year total of $12.0 billion. Chip and Dale For the various segments of the company in Q4, Entertainment had an increase in operating income, while the Sports division saw a loss as compared to Q4 of last year. Experiences had a record full-year operating income of $10 billion. Disney+, Streaming, and Entertainment Of course, everyone’s usually curious about the updated Disney+ subscriber count. As of September 27th, 2025, it sits at 131.6 million. That’s a 3% increase in subscriber count during Q4 2025 alone. Hulu is now at 64.1 million subscribers. ©Disney As far as film success goes, Disney reported that the live-action Lilo & Stitch remains the highest-grossing Hollywood film at any global box office this calendar year. It also got 14.3 million views in its earliest days on Disney+, which is the streaming service’s largest premiere ever. ©Disney Perhaps one of the most interesting notes from the call is that Iger shared a hope to use AI in the future to make “Disney+ a portal to all things Disney.” The idea is that it would create opportunities for commerce, engagement for people to go to the parks and cruises, games, and EPIC integration. They also plan to use AI to provide users with an engaging experience, including the opportunity to create and consume user-generated content. ©Disney Coming soon, Disney is hoping for success with Zootopia 2, Avatar: Fire & Ash, and The Devil Wears Prada 2. Strong television contenders this quarter were High Potential and Alien: Earth, as well as Dancing with the Stars and Tempest. Disney Experiences (Theme Parks, Cruise Line, Merchandise) Disney Experiences covers our favorite theme parks, cruise ships, and merchandise. Operating income increased at Disney Experiences as compared to 2024, largely attributed to growth with Disney Cruise Line. Disney CEO Bob Iger reports that demand for the cruise line is high currently, despite increasing capacity with multiple new ships (the Disney Treasure launched in Q1 2025). Disney Wish Iger also noted during the Q&A session that Disney Cruise Line has the highest guest satisfaction of any of the vacation offerings throughout the company. The Disney Destiny will have its maiden voyage on November 20th, 2025, and the Disney Adventure will be on March 10th, 2026, making these two cruise ships the newest additions to the lineup. There are more ships on the way, expanding Disney Cruise Line, and increasing the number of guests that can be on board. Disney Destiny stateroom Looking into 2026 with the parks, Iger shared that advance bookings are up 3% for Q1, and they’re up for the year overall, so they have a positive outlook on attendance. He even noted that the opening of Universal Epic Universe has seemed to affect Disney’s competitors more than it has affected Disney World. The changes in attendance they noticed due to the park opening were in line with expectations. Cinderella Castle There are also major Disney Parks expansions, including four new lands coming to Disney World, a large expansion in Disneyland, a makeover for Disneyland Paris, and a whole new park coming to Abu Dhabi. ESPN Recently, Disney launched the full ESPN direct-to-consumer service, and so far, the response has been good from fans. The app includes multiview and sports betting, and has attracted new viewership in line with Disney’s goals. They strive to get people to stay in the bundle rather than using linear channels, and this has helped achieve that. ©Disney It’s attracting more advertising, and the algorithm has been useful for users. Bob Iger called it “a step in the direction of solidifying ESPN’s future.” So far, about 80% of signups have been for the trio bundle. ESPN Wide World of Sports Complex Why is all of this important? It gives us a true insight into how the Walt Disney Company is doing. It can show clues as to what they’re working on next and what areas they want to focus on. We know sometimes the numbers seem like the unimportant part to the consumer, but it all connects to your experience in the parks, on the cruise ships, and watching your favorite movies. While we’re in the Disney World parks nearly every day and can see what crowd levels look like, what rides are struggling, and warn you about potential trends to watch out for, we can’t see the numbers that The Walt Disney Company can. Magic Kingdom That’s where their Earnings Calls come in! Each quarter of the year, The Walt Disney Company hosts an earnings call to update shareholders on what’s going on inside the company, as well as share an earnings report. This includes what areas are profitable, what needs a little help, and sometimes, if we’re really lucky, some new information about upcoming attractions, films, and more. On November 13th, Disney held their Q4 earnings call that we listened in on, and we got a BIG update on what theme park attendance is looking like right now. The Disney Experiences division covers Disney’s theme parks, Disney Cruise Line, and merchandise. During the Q4 earnings call, Disney shared that revenue from Disney’s domestic parks and experiences has increased by 6% from $5.5 billion in 2024 to $5.8 billion in 2025. EPCOT However, in a report filed with the SEC, Disney reported that “declines in U.S., global, and regional economic conditions, such as recessions, other less severe slowdowns in economic activity and/or inflationary conditions typically adversely affect demand for our products and services and/or costs to operate our businesses, reducing our revenue and earnings.” The company reported theme park attendance was down 1 percent. However, higher spending by guests, strong hotel bookings, Disney Cruise Line’s growth, and growth at Disneyland Paris helped offset that drop. Disney’s Hollywood Studios Operating income was up 9% from $847 million in 2024 to $920 million in 2025. Disney noted that operating income increased due to Disney Cruise Line’s growth, thanks to more passenger cruise days. This was partially offset by higher fleet expansion costs due to the launch of the Disney Treasure in the first quarter. By comparison, in Q3, attendance at Disney’s domestic parks and experiences garnered $2.5 billion, an increase of $294 million versus Q3 in the fiscal year 2024. Disney Treasure On the international side, Disney’s revenue is up 10% from $1.5 billion in 2024 to $1.7 billion in 2025. Operating income was up 25% from $299 million in 2024 to $375 million in 2025. Disney attributes international operating income primarily to growth at Disneyland Paris, a well as an increase in attendance at international parks, an increase in guest spending, and the higher costs of new guest offerings. Disneyland Paris Keep in mind that Disney has TONS of projects coming soon to their parks over the next few years, especially over in Disney World. In Magic Kingdom, a new Cars-themed area is in progress, as well as a new Villains Land. In Disney’s Hollywood Studios, a Monsters, Inc.-themed land is on the way, and Animation Courtyard is currently transforming into Walt Disney Studios. Then, in Disney’s Animal Kingdom, Zootopia: Better Zoogether! has just opened up in the Tree of Life Theater, and Pueblo Esperanza is well underway over in the former DinoLand U.S.A. areas. We’ve got great news if you typically fly Southwest Airlines to Disney World! Luggage Check Earlier this year, Disney began testing a pilot program that allowed guests at Disney World Value hotels — who were flying on Southwest Airlines — to have their bags delivered directly to their flight out of Orlando International Airport. Now, it looks like that program is being expanded, and we’ve got all the details! Beginning November 18th, guests arriving on domestic Southwest Airlines flights at Orlando International Airport (MCO) and staying at select Disney World hotels will have the option to skip baggage claim and have their bags delivered directly to their resort. Luggage transfer in Disney World! The service will be provided by a third-party — BagCheck — who will facilitate transportation of luggage from the airport to Disney World hotels within “approximately four hours” of arrival. All travelers need to do is check their luggage at the Southwest bag drop area or ticket counter to utilize this service. The luggage assistance desk! Folks will be receiving an email about this service this week, which you can read below: Dear Guest, We’re excited to share a new pilot program for guests flying Southwest Airlines into Orlando International Airport (MCO) and staying at select Disney Resorts Collection hotels. This convenient service lets you skip baggage claim and have your checked luggage delivered directly to your Disney Resort hotel. If you’d like to take advantage of the service, your registration window opens 30 days prior to departure and closes 5 days prior to departure. For more information and to register, click here. Sincerely, Walt Disney World Resort® Southwest Planes at Orlando International Airport At this time, it’s unclear if the service will be expanded to more than just the value resorts. For now, the Airport Luggage Transfer service is available at the following hotels: Disney’s All-Star Movies Resort Disney’s All-Star Music Resort Disney’s All-Star Sports Resort Disney’s Art of Animation Resort Disney’s Pop Century Resort Southwest at MCO Disney has updated its website with information about how the service will work when it rolls out: Fill out the registration form for the Airport Luggage Transfer at Disney service anytime from 30 days to 5 days prior to your departure flight. You will need your Disney Resort confirmation number and your Southwest Airlines confirmation number when you register. You will receive a confirmation email after registering. Upon arrival at Orlando International Airport, skip baggage claim and head directly to Walt Disney World Resort. Your luggage will arrive at your Resort hotel in under 4 hours. Baggage claim at MCO! We’re thrilled to see this service expanding, as it hopefully means more hotels will be participating in the Airport Luggage Transfer in the future. The Disney Destiny, the latest ship from the ever-expanding Disney Cruise Line, is just about ready to for guests, and we got to see some of the ship’s NEW elements up close during a special preview cruise! The ship, which will have its maiden voyage on November 20th, is themed to Heroes and Villains, and be based on “on the legacies of beloved Disney stories, characters, and theme park attractions” according to the company. Cafe Megara For the Destiny, Disney’s Imagineers were “inspired by the dynamic duality of every great Disney story when developing this new ship, where opposing forces of light and dark drive characters to rise to their purpose.” That theming carries through to the ship’s dining areas, including Cafe Megara, based on Meg from Hercules. The cafe is loaded with easter eggs and references to the 1997 movie, and we spotted a lot of them for ourselves! Cafe Megra If you look at the decor, you can find lightning bolts and other symbols from the film. See the clouds and lightning bolts above? The flower Hercules gives Meg in the film is forever stationed on the bar’s countertop. Deep cut after deep cut. Each of the stools has the silhouette of a character from the film on the back… Stools at Cafe Megara … even the kids’ seats. Herc! The theme wraps the space as well, with references to the film on the walls. Notice Pegasus in the wallpaper? See him? Another area looks like it’s right out of a sketchbook, complete with the Greek key design and other classically Greek elements. Sketchbook-style artwork. Of course, the cafe isn’t all easter eggs. There’s a full menu for guests to choose from. The menu… There are freshly made juices… “From Olympus…” …specialty drinks (including Illy espresso!)… Cafe Megara Menu …cocktails… Coctails …coffees… Of course, the cafe has coffee… …and even essentials like water, kombucha, teas, and more. Essentials at Cafe Megara Cafe Megara ties into the Disney Destiny’s heroes theme in some subtle ways and offers a solid menu to boot! MEG! Let the Christmas treats at Disney World start rolling in! Gingerbread Brownie! We’ve been going all around Disney World to try a bunch of the new holiday treats, and there was another one we were dying to get at the Gasparilla Island Grill at the Grand Floridian Resort! If you’re in the mood for some Christmas goodies, you’re going to want to see what we think about this one. Disney World resorts are honestly slept on when it comes to getting treats. Everyone’s mind always goes to getting something from one of the four parks, and understandably so. However, we’re here to tell you that you need to stop by the resort hotels from time to time. Grand Floridian We’ve been to the Gasparilla Island Grill more times than we can count. They have some delicious food offerings for breakfast and lunch. When we heard about the holiday treat that was there, we didn’t waste any time! Gasparilla Island Grill The treat is called the Gingerbread Brownie, and it’s available for $6.79. We’re about to order! This is super cute to look at! They have a couple of brownie options at this location, so it made sense that they made this new one for the holidays. It’s more of a dulce de leche brownie, and it was great. We loved the flavor, but we really wish there was more gingerbread flavor to it! Here it is! The only thing that really screams gingerbread with this is the little gingerbread house that sits on top. It looks like the house is going to fall off, but the icing sticks it in place very well. The gingerbread house is stupid cute — it’s like a mini constructed house. It has Mickey motifs on the front and back, and it’s covered in icing, with icicle detailing. It’s put together with chocolate as well! Look at the little house! The caramel icing on top is supposed to have a gingerbread spice to it, but we couldn’t taste the gingerbread at all. It tasted more like the dulce de leche caramel, and the icing is very goopy and sticky. Lots of icing The brownie is very dense and thick — especially in the cooler air. It was more of a fudge brownie than a cake brownie. Let’s take a bite! The brownie is more for looks than for taste, to be honest. It’s worth it for the mini gingerbread house, which looks adorable and is the only thing that tastes like gingerbread with this snack. Other than that, the brownie and icing are good, but they won’t blow you away. It was tasty! For more Disney food reviews, make sure to stay tuned to the Disney Food Blog! With the holiday season just around the corner, it’s almost time for Advent Calendars! ©Disney Right now, there are several options available on Amazon, including thisBluey option that we absolutely loved! Some books teach you how to draw, and others are for coloring! On top of that, so many of the BEST episodes are in this Advent Calendar in book form.
