  5. Back in autumn, as the leaves were falling and the temperature was cooling down, I shared a Fall Fashion update featuring some of my go-to Disney Springs stores. Zara, UNIQLO, Lucky Brand, Anthropologie and Sephora all got a mention, and while they still rank high on my list of “must-shop” stops, I wanted to put the spotlight on a few other venues as we gear up for warmer weather. Whether you fancy fashion, make-up or accessories, there are plenty of venues here at Disney Springs that can help get you ready for spring. Below are just a few of my favorites … For Floridians, or those that just wish they were, the bright hues found at Lilly Pulitzer are a year-round staple; they feel even more relevant this time of year. At nearby Vince Camuto, the latest trend pairs casual footwear with high-end looks for a truly unique style sensation. (I’m also loving their new handbag collection – though I’ll admit I have a purse obsession, so I may be biased!) Steps away, Tommy Bahama features fashions with light, flowy fabrics that are equally at home on a tropical getaway or a weekend jaunt to the farmer’s market. For those with a flair for fashions that are flirty and fun, Francesca’s offers some fantastic finds. T-shirts, dresses, and accessories of all kinds are available here. Haven’t visited Shore yet? You should. The beach-inspired lifestyle brand is a unique boutique in the heart of Town Center – in fact, with only two locations, this is your only chance to shop their looks outside of Sarasota. If Disney designs are your desire, Tren-D is your store. With so many cute clothing options and hats, baubles and scarves to match, it’s impossible to pick just one. That said, anything featuring “Bambi” feels especially fitting for spring. Of course, your best springtime accessory is great skin, so protect yours with sunscreen from our newest location, Kiehl’s Since 1851. For the finishing touch, find your new spring look with make-up from MAC Cosmetics. The colors below are from their new “Work It Out” collection, but if you prefer something more subtle, there are plenty of colors to choose from! Which spring look are you most excited to try? Share in the comments below – I’d love to know! View the full article

  19. The luck of the Irish is with us today! To celebrate St. Patrick’s day, our artist, Brittany Ungvarsky, created a pot of gold and she can show you how to create your very own. She’s taken simple garden rocks and made them into magical treasures. Here’s an idea – become an honorary leprechaun by painting some of your very own special rocks and leaving them around your local area for others to find. You’ll make their day! You can find the St. Patrick’s Day display template here and the instructions to assemble the display here! May your St. Patrick’s Day be as memorable as your first visit to a Disney Park. Cheers! 20. This past weekend, Tahj Mowry from Freeform’s “Baby Daddy” visited Disney’s Animal Kingdom and he was kind enough to share some of his pics with the Disney Parks Blog. Tahj’s showed us how strong his selfie game was in front of the majestic Tree of Life. And he knew no visit is complete without concurring Expedition Everest – Legend of the Forbidden Mountain. Tahj also got to check out the “Festival of the Lion King” performance and even got a picture with the cast. We’re so jealous! To catch more of Tahj, be sure to watch “Baby Daddy” on Mondays at 8:30/7:30c on Freeform. View the full article

(And heads up: a few of these treats will stick around through the rest of the month!) We’ve already shared some of the treats you will spot around the Disney World parks earlier this week, but now let’s take a look at the Leprechaun-snacks you’ll find in Disney World’s shopping, entertainment and dining district! Disney Springs in Disney World Even outside of the highly recommended Mighty St. Patrick’s Festival at Raglan Road (get all the details here!), there is still plenty of Irish-themed grub to go ‘round. And folks 21 and over can raise a glass of green beer or a Sham-Rock-Arita at Dockside Margaritas. @sprinkles Twitter Look for Mickey’s annual wearin’ of the green on the St. Patrick’s Day Caramel Apple at Goofy’s Candy Co. and Candy Cauldron. 25. ARRRRR ye lookin’ for some treasure, matey? Because if ye be, there’s plenty to be plundered (or, you know, politely purchased by the usual means ;-D ) at the Pirates of the Caribbean 50th Anniversary Celebration in Disneyland’s New Orleans Square! Golden Churros This Saturday, March 18th, marks the official anniversary, so these special treats are only available for a VERY limited time! Let’s start – with the help of our favorite west coast Pirate, Heather Sievers — with the most glittering jewel of the bunch… the Golden Churro! Golden Churro sign Set sail — ahoy! — for the nearest Churro Cart to get one of these beauties. Golden Churros Because the Golden Churros are not only completely Instagram-ready… Golden Churros … they also taste as good as they look, thanks to the hearty dusting of GOLD! Gold Dust The Gold Dust is actually a lemon sugar that works really well with the always crispy-on-the-outside and soft-on-the-inside classic Churro. I wish we could say the same for the Lost Treasure Beignets. Lost Treasure Beignets Found at the Mint Julep Bar and Café Orleans, the same lemon-sugar that glitters the Churros is dusted onto the Beignets, but it just doesn’t translate as well. Lost Treasure Beignets Heather thinks a dipping sauce — like raspberry preserves — could’ve spruced these up, but, alas, there is none. Lost Treasure Beignets Oh, and with those Biegnets, you’re also looking at a picture of the Jolly Roger Punch, located at Counter Service locations in New Orleans Square. Heather likened this spiced tropical fruit blend (with pineapple, orange, and mango) to P.O.G. Juice, which is found in several Table Service Restaurants (albeit under various names) in Disney World. Jolly Roger Punch So, yes, with fruit flavors that override the spice, the Jolly Roger Punch is very POG-ish. Ergo… YUMMY! So, “Drink Up, Me Hearties, Yo Ho!!” Don’t forget that you can start your morning throughout the celebration with a delicious Caribbean Breakfast Burrito. Caribbean Breakfast Burrito sign It’s packed with Andouille sausage, rice, black beans, cheddar cheese and sweet potatoes, giving it a New-Orleans-meets-the-Southwest vibe. Oh, there are some NOT “really bad eggs” in there, too. (A little Yo-Ho-Humor for all of you singing the attraction’s theme song in your head while reading this post!) Caribbean Breakfast Burrito You’ll find it at Royal Street Veranda and the Mint Julep Bar, IF you’re one of the early Pirates that catches the worm… or something like that . It is a BLAST to celebrate FIFTY YEARS of pillaging, plundering, and not giving a hoot with these specialty snacks (along with a few others… read all about them here) in Disneyland! If it’s a Pirate’s Life for YOU, too, we hope you get the chance to join in the Pirate Party this weekend! Is Pirates of the Caribbean YOUR favorite attraction? Please let us know with a comment!
