Disney Springs in Walt Disney World has a new food truck joining them later this month! And we’re pretty sure there’s going to be some excitement! 4R Cantina Barbacoa Food Truck Local Orlando residents may be familiar with the latest food truck to call Disney Springs home. The new food truck is the newest concept for 4R Restaurant Group, home of the 4 Rivers Smokehouses. 4 Rivers is introducing the 4R Cantina Barbacoa Food Truck in the Disney Springs Marketplace (note: not in the Disney Springs Food Truck Lot on the West Side) later this month! 4R Cantina Barbacoa Taco Cone This new food truck will debut a variety of new signature dishes, including Nachos, Tacos, Quesadillas, as well as a Taco Cone and Burrito Bowl filled with choice of meats like Brisket Barbacoa or Pork Sofrito. The 4R Cantina Barbacoa Food Truck will also offer standout vegetarian options like the Squash Blossom Burrito. HUGE thanks to DFB instagram friend @allyinfantasyland for tagging us in these awesome pics from her preview! 4R Cantina Barbacoa Taco Nachos AND HEADS UP, FELLOW DESSERT FANS! Dulce De Leche Churro Balls and Dessert Nachos are on the menu! The Dessert Nachos are flour tortilla chips tossed in cinnamon sugar then topped with Nutella drizzle, strawberries, pineapple and blackberries! 4R Cantina Barbacoa Dessert Nachos 4R Restaurant Group Founder and CEO John Rivers was inspired to create this new concept and menu during his recent culinary adventures in Mexico City. The food truck’s dishes will feature signature 4 Rivers meats such as brisket and pulled pork, but they’ll be prepared using traditional barbacoa techniques – methods with roots in the Caribbean and fine-tuned in Mexico. The 4R Cantina Barbacoa menu has been crafted with the same pride and passion that has earned 4 Rivers Smokehouses some of the culinary world’s highest accolades, including recently being named “America’s Best Barbecue Chain” by The Daily Meal. The 4R Cantina Barbacoa Food Truck at Disney Springs will be the only 4 Rivers location to offer service seven days a week – including Sunday. Following in the philanthropic footprints of the 4R “Barbecue Ministry,” all net proceeds from sales every Sunday will support The 4R Foundation, which in 2017 funded more than 950 local schools, churches and charitable organizations. All other 4 Rivers Smokehouse locations will remain closed on Sundays. Look for this food truck to roll in to the Marketplace in Disney Springs in late-August. While many still have several weeks left before school resumes, others are already in the throes of reading, writing and arithmetic. School is one of those necessities in life, but it does not mean you cannot learn in style. Great fashions, backpacks and so much more can be found at Disney Springs, and this week the Disney Parks Moms Panelists are here to give you some back to school shopping tips at one of their favorite destinations. For panelist Crystal B., Uniqlo is a great spot for back to school shopping! She loves the affordable prices, and finds it to be a great spot to stock up on basics, as well as unique Disney merchandise. “DisneyStyle is my new favorite store in Disney Springs!” exclaims Tania L. “From hats proclaiming you live in Fantasyland to shirts professing your love of Disney snacks, there’s something for everyone with Disney flair. I even picked up Mickey Waffle keychains for my daughters to hook on their backpacks for school.” And while we are on the subject of backpacks, the panelists all agree that Curl by Sammy Duval, Kipling and Vera Bradley have some of the best backpacks around. They also agree that you must make time to stop in at World of Disney for the ultimate Disney shopping experience. “My kids love to talk to their friends about their Disney trips.” Robyn M. said. “So, we like to pick up a backpack, water bottle, or lunch bag at World of Disney so they can bring a little of the magic with them to school. They also have the cutest pens, and my daughter always stocks up for her desk.” It is quite easy to see that the panelists can find something for everyone at Disney Springs, but while shopping, Anna S. reminds guests to look for the sales! “Having just returned from a quick shopping trip to Disney Springs, the best tip is to search the sales,” explained Anna. “Almost every store is having an end of summer sale, and there were great deals to be had on things like Vera Bradley book bags, Sephora makeup palettes, and even inspirational notes and journals at Sugarboo & Co. (this store makes me feel good even when things aren’t on sale).” From shopping tips at Disney Springs to planning your next Disney vacation, the Disney Parks Moms Panelists are here to answer all your questions. For a personalized response from one of our knowledgeable panelists, visit DisneyParksMomsPanel.com, and we hope everyone has a great school year! View the full article

This August I’ve got some delicious new bites on both coasts to share with you, and first up is some exciting news coming straight from Disneyland Resort – River Belle Terrace in Disneyland park is now serving breakfast! If you’re looking for a bit of down-home southern breakfast cooking, then River Belle Terrace is the perfect place to start your day. Take a seat in the shady terrace and choose from a selection of delicious morning dishes like Monkey Bread! Made with warm and buttery sweet bread, this southern skillet dish comes with pecan butter, candied pecans, and powdered sugar. You can also enjoy dishes like the Country Biscuits and Gravy, Becky Thatcher’s Fried Green Tomato, or even Short Rib Skillet with sunny side-up eggs, signature potatoes, onions and peppers, and Texas toast. Oh, and I can’t forget about the MICKEY PANCAKES! These Mickey-shaped pancakes come with maple syrup, whipped butter, seasonal berries, and chicken sausage or Applewood smoked bacon. Seating for this new breakfast at River Belle Terrace is available on a first-come first-serve basis. Reservations are also available for lunch and dinner only. To see the full menu and book reservations, visit the Disneyland Resort website or call (714) 781-DINE (714 781-3463). There’s also a new Fish Taco Plate over at Disney California Adventure Park – just stop by Cocina Cucamonga Mexican Grill on the Pacific Wharf to get it! It comes with corn tortillas, citrus cabbage slaw, mango habanero sauce, cilantro-lime rice, and black beans. At Walt Disney World Resort, a new month means new monthly bites at Magic Kingdom Park! At Casey’s Corner, August’s Hot Diggity Dog of the Month is the Cheesy Dog, an all-beef hot dog topped with queso, cheddar, and seasoned cheese puffs. At Pinocchio Village Haus, the Flatbread of the Month is a delicious Bacon Mac and Cheese Flatbread. In Fantasyland, The Friar’s Nook is serving Pub Tots topped with beer cheese, bacon, and chives. And if you’re craving a juicy brat, then you can try the Brat and Tots. This bratwurst comes topped with sauerkraut and served with delicious potato barrels. Over at Epcot, there’s a tasty new Stow Away Mary at Refreshment Port. This classic Bloody Mary comes with vodka, garnished with pimento-stuffed olives, a cherry tomato, celery, jumbo shrimp, and smokehouse jerky. Craving some mac and cheese? Stop by Liberty Inn at The American Adventure pavilion to try this yummy Macaroni and Cheese All-Beef Foot Long Hot Dog! Near Test Track, you can get some fun stuffed pretzels at the Pretzel Cart. Try the Cream Cheese, Jalapeño Cheese, or Salted Caramel Warm Stuffed Pretzels. Finally – I’ve got a couple announcements direct from Disney Springs! The first? STK Orlando is now serving lunch 11am-2:30pm Monday-Friday and brunch 11am-3pm Saturday and Sunday! Heirloom Tomato and Burrata Salad, Tuna Tartare and Crispy Rock Shrimp are just a few of the delicious salads and appetizers to start your meal with. You can also enjoy a raw bar with Oysters, Shrimp Cocktails, Ceviché, and Alaskan King Crab. For the main course, you can enjoy steaks, sandwiches, and burgers such as the Linz Angus Burger with American cheese, lettuce, tomato, onion, and chips. And for the sides? Pair your entrée with one of STK’s amazing sides such as the Parmesan Truffle Fries, Lobster Mac and Cheese, or Grilled Trumpet Royale Mushrooms. Another exciting announcement from Disney Springs involves a brand-new food truck! Coming in late August, 4 Rivers is introducing the 4R Cantina Barbacoa Food Truck in the Disney Springs Marketplace. Inspired by the culinary culture of Mexico City, this food truck boasts a barbacoa-style menu with dishes including Taco Cones and Burrito Bowls. These items are filled with signature 4 Rivers meats such as brisket and pulled pork, but prepared using barbacoa techniques. The food truck will also offer standout vegetarian options like the Squash Blossom Burrito. And for dessert, tempt your taste buds with decadent sweets such as the Dulce de Leche Churro Balls! If you’re getting hungry after reading this, then be sure to come on out and try these new bites!
