The first holiday season of Epic Universe helped propel fourth-quarter theme-park revenue of Comcast, the company reported Thursday. Revenue for October-December 2025 was $2.89 billion, an increase of 21.9% over the same period of 2024. The numbers helped bring the Content & Experiences segment — including the company’s film studios and media businesses — up 21.9%. “We’re really pleased with what we’re seeing from Epic which continues to drive higher per-cap spending and attendance across the entirety of the resort while we are not yet operating at full run-rate capacity,” said Jason Armstrong, chief financial officer, in a conference call with market analysts after the earnings report was released. The theme park debuted in May. “We have made meaningful progress expanding ride throughput, and we remain focused on scaling further over the next several quarters with higher attendance, stronger per-caps and additional operating leverage over time,” he said. Epic’s year was “phenomenal,” said Brian Roberts, Comcast’s CEO. “I think the plans continue to be invest behind that park in the fullness of time,” he said. “But I think this year is the year where we continue to drive the original agenda, which is to fill up our hotels.” Universal Orlando’s hotel occupancy is up 3% and the average daily room rate is up 20%, he said. Attendance and revenue at individual theme parks were not reported. The opening and performance of Horror Unleashed, the year-round haunt in Las Vegas, was not mentioned. Looking at the attractions segment in 2026, Roberts pointed to the opening of a kids park in Frisco, Texas, the Fast and Furious roller coaster debuting at Universal Studios Hollywood and the groundbreaking for a theme park in England. Overall performance for Comcast, which also has broadband, media and film studios businesses, was $32.31 billion in the fourth quarter, up 1.2%. For the full year, company revenue was $123.71 billion, down from $123.73 billion in 2024. Theatrical releases were down 20.2% for the quarter as “Wicked: For Good” and “Black Phone 2” were outperformed by the first installment of “Wicked” and “The Wild Robot” of 2024. Roberts touted the upcoming 2026 films, including “Odyssey,” “Disclosure” directed by Steven Spielberg, “The Super Mario Galaxy Movie” and “Minions 3.” Also coming up are the Super Bowl, Winter Olympics and NBA All-Star Game, which will all be seen on Comcast-owned NBC and Peacock platforms. dbevil@orlandosentinel.com View the full article

Magic Kingdom is packed full of attractions, and while it can feel overwhelming to do them all, you actually might not need to use a Lightning Lane selection on a few of them. Magic Kingdom Crowds With Disney’s Lightning Lane Multi Pass system, guests can now skip the standby lines on many attractions, but at Magic Kingdom, this perk comes at a premium. The park has the highest price point for Lightning Lane, but it also boasts the largest selection of attractions eligible for the system. That said, not every ride is worth burning your Lightning Lane selection on, and we’re breaking down which ones are and aren’t. Booking Fantasyland Attractions One common mistake Disney adults make is booking Lightning Lanes for Fantasyland attractions that rarely see long waits. Rides like “it’s a small world,” the Mad Tea Party teacups, Under the Sea — Journey of the Little Mermaid, and even The Barnstormer often have minimal waits throughout the day, even during peak times. Under the Sea — Journey of the Little Mermaid Not Booking Tier 1 Attractions When you preselect your 3 Lightning Lanes for Magic Kingdom, you can select 1 Tier 1 and 2 Tier 2 attractions. However, after you use your first Lightning Lane of the day, even if it is a Tier 2 attraction, you can book a Tier 1 attraction. If there are still Tier 1 attractions available, that should be what you grab next. These currently are Space Mountain, Tiana’s Bayou Adventure, Peter Pan’s Flight, and Jungle Cruise. Tiana’s Bayou Adventure queue Booking a Ride That You Will Rope Drop If you want to rope drop a ride, especially during Early Entry, you can skip grabbing a Lightning Lane for it. For example, if your plan includes rope-dropping Space Mountain, you can likely skip securing a Lightning Lane for it unless you want to ride both tracks back-to-back. The only reason to do this is if you know you want to ride this attraction multiple times. Space Mountain There are Lightning Lanes That Sell Out Faster Than Others When booking your Lightning Lanes, you’ll want to try to grab those that are likely not going to be available all day. The fastest Magic Kingdom attraction to sell out of Lightning Lanes on average is the newest attraction on the list: Tiana’s Bayou Adventure. There are usually no Lightning Lanes left by 9:15 AM on average. Tiana’s Bayou Adventure! While this next one is currently closed for refurbishment, it will reopen this spring — Big Thunder Mountain. When it was open, it was out of Lightning Lane reservations by 11:12 AM. When the attraction is back up and running, we expect the demand for this ride to increase, as many visitors will want to see what has changed. Big Thunder Mountain Railroad The next three quickest attractions to run out of Lightning Lanes were Peter Pan’s Flight, Jungle Cruise, and the Many Adventures of Winnie the Pooh, which ran out at 12:40, 12:49, and 1:30 PM, respectively. This data will help you make the tough decisions on what to preselect when it comes to your Lightning Lanes. This information, coupled with knowing what attractions your party wants to ride, will help make the decision easier. The Many Adventures of Winnie the Pooh By focusing your Lightning Lane selections on these high-demand attractions, you can maximize your day in Magic Kingdom without wasting passes on rides that are already a short wait. Strategic planning gives you the experience of the park’s must-do rides efficiently while leaving plenty of time for snacks, castle shows, and spontaneous moments. Lightning Lane at Peter Pan’s Flight At Disney World, your time is money, and sometimes using a Lightning Lane on a ride is actually not going to save you time. Our team is in the parks every day, testing out different tips so we can share them with you. The future of the Walt Disney Company could be announced as early as next week, including the identity of the next Disney CEO. ©Disney The Walt Disney Company will hold its next earnings call on February 2nd at 8:30 AM ET. During the call, the company will discuss its fiscal first-quarter 2026 results and provide a closer look at its performance at the start of the new fiscal year. But, experts are predicting that we could learn who the next CEO will be during this call as well. The Walt Disney Company CEO Bob Iger is set to leave the company at the end of 2026, when his contract is up. Ever since the contract expiration date was announced, many have been wondering who would take Iger’s place after he leaves. Disney had said that a successor would be named in early 2026, and now that the new year has rolled around, we’re eager to learn just who it might be. ©Disney Disney Chairman James Gorman has stressed the board’s commitment to naming Iger’s successor in early 2026, which means we could have an announcement any day now. In addition to the upcoming earnings call, Disney also set its annual shareholders meeting for March 16th at 10 AM PST, which could be when we learn who will be taking over as head of the company. ©Disney Gorman told the Los Angeles Times, “Management succession planning remains a top priority for the Board, reflecting its importance to business continuity and long-term shareholder value. Oversight of the process is led by our dedicated Succession Planning Committee, and all directors have actively participated in a rigorous and ongoing evaluation of potential successor candidates, including direct engagement, performance assessment, and consideration of leadership capabilities aligned with the Company’s long-term strategy. The appointment of the next CEO will be determined by the full Board, and we currently expect to announce the appointment of the Company’s next CEO in early 2026.” ©Disney | Walt Disney Company Headquarters Previous reports have said that Disney had narrowed its search for its next CEO to Josh D’Amaro, Chairman of Disney Experiences, and Dana Walden, Co-Chairman of Disney Entertainment. Bloomberg then polled 700 industry experts, showing that most believe that D’Amaro will be named the next CEO of The Walt Disney Company. Josh D’Amaro at Destination D23, 2023 ©Disney While anyone can listen to the earnings call live on February 2nd, we will be listening and letting you know all the updates you need to know if you can’t or don’t want to listen to the webcast. Disney will release its financial results before the opening of regular stock market trading on February 2nd and will then host the earnings call at 8:30 AM ET. ©Disney In addition to potential successor news, we’re eager to learn about the company’s financial results in each segment (Entertainment, Sports, and Experiences). We also expect to hear more updates on streaming services like Disney+ and ESPN, and these have been a fairly big focus in previous earnings calls. Disney Cruise Line has also been a common topic in recent webcasts, so we’re looking forward to hearing more. Walt Disney Company Headquarters in Burbank We will be tuned in to hear about the financial results and listen to Disney discuss the future of the company — including who might be the next CEO. The first Storyliving by Disney community, Cotino, is coming to life in Rancho Mirage, California just minutes from Palm Springs. Last year, the community welcomed its first residents who are discovering the same sense of wonder and tranquility that made the Coachella Valley a cherished retreat for Walt Disney and his family. “When thinking about the story we wanted to tell at Cotino, we were inspired by the idea of a creative oasis: a vibrant community where people can gather, create and share what they love, just like Walt did,” said Walt Disney Imagineering Executive Creative Director Caroline Boone. “That vision shaped everything we’ve done at Cotino. By weaving that spirit of creativity into the design and experience, this is a place that feels both timeless and fresh — unmistakably Disney, yet unlike anything done before.” The Cotino entryway As Cotino continues to grow, new milestones are shaping its vibrant future. Recently, the community celebrated the opening of the Artisan Club and announced the first retailers and restaurants coming to the town center, known as Cotino Bay Beach, Dining and Shops, and anticipated to open in fall 2026. Universal Orlando made it official last week: A roller coaster named Fast & Furious: Hollywood Drift will open at Universal Studios Florida theme park sometime in 2027. Construction is visible from Universal CityWalk. The ride essentially replaces Hollywood Rip Ride Rockit, which was closed in August, and its demolition began soon thereafter. Yes, the new coaster has the same name as a thrill ride set to open at Universal Studios Hollywood this year. No, it’s not the same ride, Universal has confirmed. Yes, the Fast and Furious – Supercharged attraction, a screen-centric motion simulator dark ride in Orlando, is going away in 2027. No, that hasn’t sparked much outrage. Yes, this will have made two attractions in that spot with “Hollywood” in the name, but neither of them in the Hollywood section of the park. Soon after the announcement, the construction walls inside Universal Studios were altered to include a big, stylized car image that touts the 2027 opening. It’s eye-catching but also a slight bummer as it might remind visitors of Rockit’s (now removed) breakthrough curve, which was one of its charms. (Added to the construction wall last month were King Kong posters, which at first glance may look like movie posters. In reality, they’re inspired by a segment of the 1933 “Kong” movie, in which the Carl Denham character puts Kong — “a vicious mindless beast” — on display at the Alhambra theater. Old-school park fans will appreciate that these are mere steps away from the former site of the Kongfrontation ride.) "King Kong"-inspired posters pop up on the construction wall for Fast & Furious: Hollywood Drift coaster at Universal Studios. (Dewayne Bevil/Orlando Sentinel) The Hollywood Drift announcement shared a few details about the Orlando ride. Notably, it will have a 170-foot vertical spike designed to send passengers over “the outskirts of Universal CityWalk.” There’s also mention of a maneuver that gives the “sensation of 360-degree drifting.” Details about the California version include a top speed of 72 mph, four inversions and 4,100 feet of rail. There’s no sign of a vertical spike. Since we are in comparison mode, Jurassic World VelociCoaster at Islands of Adventure goes 70 mph with a height of 155 feet and four inversions. Stardust Racers, the coaster at Epic Universe, tops out at 62 mph with a height of 133 feet and one inversion on each of its two rails. Mako, the SeaWorld Orlando hypercoaster, runs at 73 mph and rolls up to 200 feet off the ground. (Also, the scorpion tail maneuver of SeaWorld’s Ice Breaker tops out at 80 feet tall.) Hollywood Drift makes three coasters that are under construction or announced in Orlando-area theme parks. Galacticoaster is scheduled to open at Legoland Florida on Feb. 27. A “Monsters, Inc.” themed suspended coaster is planned for Disney’s Hollywood Studios, which is also retheming its Rock ‘n Roller Coaster to incorporate Muppet characters this year. Big Thunder Mountain Railroad is expected to reopen at Magic Kingdom this year after an extensive refurbishment. News and notes • The final day to ride Dinosaur at Disney’s Animal Kingdom is Sunday. There has been a ton of buzz around Marvel and the Marvel Cinematic Universe with the highly anticipated release of Avengers: Doomsday coming later this year. We know that Avengers: Secret Wars will follow, but what does the future of the MCU look like after that? ©Marvel Studios There has been rumour and speculation of certain movies and characters taking place as the forefront of the MCU’s next phase, and one of them could be one of Marvel’s hottest characters, Deadpool! Why do we say this? Well, signs are pointing to the possibility of a fourth Deadpool movie in the future. Deadpool joined the MCU fairly recently, with the release of Deadpool & Wolverine in 2024. The third film in the franchise was a huge success, breaking box office records and giving the MCU a different type of look. According to ScreenRant, it was reported by Puck that Deadpool 4 could ALREADY be in the works! Well, kind of. ©Marvel There isn’t a whole lot of detail, and definitely NO confirmation. However, the project would see Ryan Reynolds return as Deadpool for another movie, which is something the actor really wants. The report stated that Ryan Reynolds is “wisely focused” on his next Deadpool movie. It’s a character he and his fans have loved since he first played him in 2016. ©Marvel Obviously, that doesn’t mean that plans are for sure happening for Deadpool 4, but it also doesn’t mean that it’s not. When looking at the box office success of the third movie, the fans’ love for the character, and the MCU looking to restart after Phase 6, it just makes sense that there would be another Deadpool movie! ©Marvel Studios For now, let’s not think too far ahead, as Marvel has TONs of projects coming in 2026! Marvel’s newest Disney+ series, Wonder Man, is officially out on the streaming platform. You can also expect to see Daredevil: Born Again Season 2, a new season of X-Men ’97, a new season of Your Friendly Neighborhood Spider-Man, a new series called Vision Quest, and The Punisher Marvel TV Special all coming to Disney+ this year! ©Disney+ As for theatrical releases, Marvel has two on the slate for 2026, and they’re HUGE! On July 31st, Spider-Man: Brand New Day will drop. The highly anticipated fourth installment of the Tom Holland Spider-Man franchise is sure to deliver an exciting experience. The year will then end with what might be the most anticipated movie of 2026, Avengers: Doomsday, releasing on December 18th! ©Marvel As Marvel fans, we’re really looking forward to this year. We’ll be keeping an eye out for the Deadpool news to see if anything new unfolds — although we doubt it with everything Marvel is focused on this year. If you’re specifically planning on a Disney Valentine’s Day theme this year, we’ve spotted some essentials online that are PERFECT for decorating this year — you won’t want to miss out! DISCLOSURE: This post may contain affiliate links, meaning when you click the links and make a purchase, we receive a commission. The Cutest Table or Shelf Decor! ©Amazon We truly can’t get over how adorable the Mini Mickey Mouse Personality Pose Stone Resin Figurine is! One of our favorite things about it is that, while it’s perfect for Valentine’s Day due to the flowers, it can also fit other times of year too. There’s no need to take it down in between seasons if you don’t want to, because it’s great for spring, summer, and even winter, if you want a splash of color to break up the dreariness. Grab it right here! A Mickey Valentine’s Day Figurine ©Amazon However, if you are looking for a Jim Shore figurine that’s more Valentine’s Day themed, we recommend the Mickey Mouse Holding Heart Personalizable Figurine. We love the detail all around the figurine, especially the stand that Mickey is on, and his ears. We think basically all Disney fans will love it. Grab it right here! A Sign To Go Anywhere! ©Amazon Need a new sign for your front door, back door, classroom door, or a sign for your office to celebrate the holiday? Look no further than the Valentine’s Day Mouse-Shaped Love Letters Wooden Sign! The “O” in “Love” looks just like a silhouette of Minnie Mouse with the castle inside of it (complete with Mickey and Minnie sharing a smooch — adorable!), and the color scheme is EVERYTHING! Grab it right here! Three Adorable Signs For One Price ©Amazon We love a deal just as much as anyone else, and the Valentine’s Day Mouse Table Signs are a steal! The pack comes with three different, smaller signs, all themed to the holiday in a Disney way. One is the same Minnie castle silhouette as seen in the “O” of “Love” in the previous sign, the second is a white heart with Mickey and Minnie in pink sharing a kiss, and the third is pink checkered with hearts and says “Love” (again, the “O” is a Mickey silhouette). Grab it right here! We Love Window Clings! ©Amazon If you’ve got windows in your house that face out towards the street and you want other people to see how much you love the holiday, or YOU just want to be able to look out your window and smile, the Valentine’s Day Window Clings are fantastic! Well, it’s really happening. EVERYTHING (okay, maybe not everything, but a LOT) is changing in Magic Kingdom. Big Thunder Mountain Railroad is changing, Buzz Lightyear’s Space Ranger Spin is changing, Villains Land is being built, and a big Cars expansion is underway. ©Disney Well, Cinderella Castle just HAD to jump on the change bandwagon, too. Disney previously announced that the castle would be losing its pink color scheme and revert back to a color scheme similar to its original silvers and blues. Well, we’ve got big news: the repainting of the castle has already started! We visited Magic Kingdom today and noticed that Disney did not waste ANY time in starting to get rid of the pink color of the castle. It’s already starting to look drastically different. We don’t know a lot about painting castles (except they use a paint-by-number technique), but it looks like the old paint is being stripped off to make way for what we assume will be primer and then the actual paint colors. It’s happening! You can also see where more pink has disappeared on this part of the castle. From what we understand, the moat around the castle will also be eventually drained so Disney can get the equipment it needs close to the castle. Also, cranes will be lowered and out of sight by noon each day, so you can still get some castle photos, but the castle might not look quite like itself (or like its new self) just yet. The pink is disappearing Note that as a result of the work being done on the castle, some changes have been made to three Magic Kingdom entertainment offerings: Let The Magic Begin, Mickey’s Magical Friendship Faire, and Happily Ever After. Be sure to keep an eye on the My Disney Experience app for showtimes and updates. Disney has not yet revealed when the painting might be complete, except that it’s expected to be finished this year, so you can expect to those castle photos to look a little different for a while. We’ll be keeping an eye on construction progress, so stay tuned to DFB for more. “Good. Staying at a Disneyland hotel is a lot different than staying at a Disney World hotel. For starters, you can walk to both of Disneyland’s parks from its hotels. However, Disneyland does not offer hotel rooms at the value resort price point you can get in Disney World (and Disneyland hotels can be quite pricey). Disneyland Hotel However, Disney tried to make staying at Disneyland hotels a little better by offering an Early Entry Theme Park perk where guests staying at Disney-owned hotels could get into the parks early. However, Disney decided to end that perk in 2026, which is going to create a problem for, well, everyone who visits Disneyland. So here’s the deal. With hotel guests getting into the parks 30 minutes before everyone else, many of those visitors are already in the park by the time the park opens. So, rope drop might have felt a little less crowded for non-Disney hotel guests while this perk was active. But that’s changing. Crowds Waiting to Enter Disneyland Now that the perk is ending, rope drop might feel a little more crowded because now those hotel guests also have to stand in line with everyone else. Disneyland rope drop lines can already get pretty long, so they might be about to get even longer. California Adventure entrance So how can you combat the long lines? Well, get to Disneyland early. You will have to go through security anyway, and those lines can also back up in the mornings. Disneyland doesn’t have the fancy security scanners that you’ll find in Disney World, so everyone has to go through a manual bag check. Then go straight to the entrance of whichever park you’re visiting for the day. Disneyland security Your option is not to rope drop and wait to visit the parks a little later in the day. You’ll find shorter lines at both security and the gates, BUT you’ll most certainly find longer wait times at rides than you would if you rope dropped. However, that’s when Lightning Lane Multi Pass might come in handy (and in Disneyland, you even get free digital downloads of all your PhotoPass photos if you buy the service). Lightning Lane entrance for Matterhorn Now, granted, you might not notice a huge difference at rope drop, at least at Disney California Adventure. Disney’s Grand Californian Hotel has a dedicated entrance to the park, and a lot of hotel guests, including those staying at the Disneyland Hotel and Pixar Place Hotel, may be using that entrance for its shorter lines. Also, Disneyland Hotel guests will often take the Monorail directly into Disneyland as it’s closer than walking all the way through Downtown Disney to get to the park’s main entrance. Disneyland Monorail However, it is something to keep in mind if you plan on visiting Disneyland this year. We’ll continue to monitor any changes happening at Disneyland, so stay tuned to DFB for updates. Disneyland Is Opening 5 New Locations in 2026. Here’s the Full List DON'T DO IT ALONE! Need your park ticket to scan it in at the park? Trying to redeem a Lightning Lane pass? Charging a purchase back to your Disney World hotel room? Trying to get into your Disney World hotel room? Want some fun, interactive experiences in the parks? Use your MagicBand! MagicBand+ While not required, MagicBands help make your Disney trip easier, and if you have a MagicBand+, you can interact with statues, shows, fireworks, and attractions throughout Disney World. You can also use them to open your hotel room, scan into the parks, scan into Lightning Lane entrances, and make purchases. They are available in lots of styles, so you can find one you love. DISCLOSURE: This post may contain affiliate links, meaning when you click the links and make a purchase, we receive a commission. We love using our MagicBands at Disney World, but if you have a newer MagicBand+, keep in mind it will need to be charged for interactions! We love getting the special effects while watching nighttime spectaculars or waving at the gold statues around the park. However, keeping the MagicBand+ charged can feel a bit frustrating. Especially when outlets are usually in short supply in Disney World hotels. We are already fighting for space to charge our phones, watches, portable chargers, and headphones — finding space to charge a MagicBand+ can feel impossible! MagicBand+ at Beauty and the Beast Sing Along That is where one of our favorite Disney essentials comes into play. We would like to introduce you to the Kaizen Kreations MultiCharger! This Disney essential is a game-changer for keeping your devices charged. It is super small but gives you additional charging spots for everything (including MagicBands!). MultiCharger for MagicBand+ Each multicharger has 4 USB-A slots, so you can charge your devices. There are three slots on the side, and one on the bottom of the multicharger. The multicharger has a USB-C hub on top and comes with a USB-C adapter, depending on the power brick you are plugging it into. That means one outlet can charge up to 4 devices at once. It is small but mighty, and SO easy to toss into your suitcase or carry-on. No big, bulky power strip needed when you can just pack this multicharger. MultiCharger for all your other devices, too! Even if you don’t have a MagicBand+, this multicharger can come in handy! We especially love it for our MagicBand+, but you can plug any USB-A charging cord into the multicharger. Now you won’t have to choose between charging your MagicBand+ or charging your portable charger; you can charge them all! Get this multicharger here! We are in the Disney parks every single day, and we are always testing products to see if they are worth the money for your Disney trip. This multicharger has been a game-changer for us, and we always make sure it is in our luggage when we are staying at a Disney World hotel. Disney fans, get ready to revisit some classic video games: The Disney Afternoon Collection is coming to Nintendo Switch and Nintendo Switch 2 on February 26 for digital download, with physical copies launching at a later date. The games featured in this collection are based on several animated series that were part of The Disney Afternoon television programming in the 1990s. It’s a nostalgic moment for many of us who grew up during that time, hurrying home after school to watch some of our favorite characters on screen. The classic early 90s games featured in The Disney Afternoon Collection were originally released by Capcom and later chosen by developer Digital Eclipse to be re-released for PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC. Now, Digital Eclipse is finally bringing that collection to the Nintendo Switch and Nintendo Switch 2 with eight great games, which include the Nintendo Entertainment System classics: DuckTales (1989), DuckTales 2 (1993), Chip ‘n Dale Rescue Rangers (1990), Chip ‘n Dale Rescue Rangers 2 (1994), Darkwing Duck (1992), and TaleSpin (1991). Additionally, two Super Nintendo Entertainment System games that were not part of the collection before — Goof Troop (1993) and Bonkers (1994) — are only available for the Nintendo Switch and Nintendo Switch 2. But it’s more than just classic games and iconic animated television series! Here are some of the things you can experience when The Disney Afternoon Collection launches digitally for Nintendo Switch and Nintendo Switch 2 on February 26. Partner For Adventure Team up with a friend to enjoy two-player cooperative adventures in Goof Troop, where Goofy and Max explore the pirate stronghold Spoonerville Island in order to rescue Pete and PJ. In both Chip ‘n Dale Rescue Rangers action platform games, friends can choose to be either Chip or Dale and work together to stop Fat Cat’s nefarious plans. Pogo To Riches In both DuckTales games, take on the role of Scrooge McDuck, who defeats enemies by pogo-jumping on his cane, scouring the whole world for treasure to bring back to Duckburg. Go Totally Nuts! In Bonkers, police officer Bonkers D. Bobcat is on the case to solve crimes across Toontown, while also locating and returning the three legendary Toon Treasures after defeating a series of enemies. Blast The Baddies Looking for some shooting action? In TaleSpin, jump into Baloo’s plane “The Sea Duck” and maneuver through the clouds to fend off incoming enemies and avoid obstacles. Buy upgrades for the plane to increase your chances of beating the boss enemy at the end of each level. Flap In The Night Get dangerous with Darkwing Duck! Six of Darkwing’s greatest enemies: The Liquidator, Megavolt, Dr. Reginald Bushroot, Quackerjack, Professor Moliarty, and Wolfduck have been hired to wreak havoc throughout St. Canard. Players must upgrade Darkwing’s Gas Gun as they complete each stage to subdue the enemy leading up to the final confrontation with Steelbeak, a member of F.O.W.L. (The Fiendish Organization for World Larceny). Rock Out to the Soundtracks These games have banger soundtracks, and players can experience them all in the custom music player. Listen to tracks like the “Moon Theme,” which famously made its way from the video game to the 2017 DuckTales animated series. Peek Behind the Curtain Explore four different behind-the-scenes exhibitions in the Gallery section. Check out the Pencil to Pixel section, which shows how Capcom’s original game artists drew inspiration from Disney animators’ sketches, or see original game ads, artwork, and even original vintage game boxes. Rewind to Save Your Tail Feathers! Fell in a bottomless pit? Took too many whacks from an enemy? Just press the all-new Rewind button to rewind the action of any game and try it again. Now players of all skill levels can complete these challenges. Time Attack Ready for a speedrun? Play through any of the six Nintendo Entertainment System games and try to set your best time, then upload your replays online and challenge your friends. Boss Rush Think you’ve got what it takes? Each of the six Nintendo Entertainment System games has a new mode, “Boss Rush.” Battle against every boss, one after the other, and try to set your best time taking down every Big Bad in the collection. You can now pre-order a digital copy before February 26 for both Nintendo Switch or Nintendo Switch 2. For Nintendo Switch and Nintendo Switch 2, physical copies of The Disney Afternoon will come with a game cartridge along with two sticker sheets, eight retro milk caps, and three collectible cards. There’s a reason Earl of Sandwich at Disney Springs is always busy. Earl of Sandwich If you’ve spent any amount of time at Disney Springs, you’ve probably noticed the steady line at Earl of Sandwich. Known for its warm bread, hearty portions, and reliable menu, this spot has become a go-to for Disney folks looking for something filling without the fuss. We stopped by to put their breakfast to the test, and here’s how it went. Atmosphere Stepping into Earl of Sandwich at Disney Springs feels like entering a bustling, yet relaxed neighborhood favorite hangout; the kind of place where quick service meets inviting comfort without sacrificing flavor or quality. The vibe leans casual and energetic, with a steady flow of hungry visitors coming and going at all hours, making it perfect for grab-and-go meals as well as sit-down bites with friends and family. Ordering line The interior blends bright, contemporary design with warm wood accents and plenty of natural light, creating a friendly environment that’s both welcoming and unpretentious. Dining area Whether you’re fueling up before a long day in the parks, taking a break from shopping, or meeting up for a leisurely lunch, the atmosphere feels lively without being overwhelming, striking the right balance between efficient service and relaxed comfort. It’s the kind of place where the smell of freshly baked bread draws you in, the sound of clinking dishes and lively conversation keeps you feeling at ease, and the casual seating encourages you to linger just a little longer. Decor around the restaurant But enough about the restaurant — what’s on the menu here?! Menu The breakfast menu here offers a warm, satisfying start to your day with the same handcrafted quality the eatery is known for — just in morning-friendly form! While not as extensive as a full breakfast buffet, the options focus on hearty, flavor-packed sandwiches and breakfast favorites that feel both familiar and elevated. Think warm, freshly baked bread piled with eggs, savory meats, melty cheese, and complementary toppings that come together in sandwiches designed to fuel a long day of parks and adventure. Each item feels thoughtfully composed rather than rushed, giving you something substantial and tasty without the typical “fast food” feel. ©Disney In addition to classic breakfast sandwiches, Earl of Sandwich also offers items with a bit more flair for those mornings when you want something a little special. It’s easy to pair your sandwich with a hot cup of coffee, fresh fruit, or a side that rounds out the meal without overwhelming it. ©Disney What stands out most about breakfast here is that it stays true to what Earl of Sandwich does best: solid ingredients, generous portions, and bold flavor combinations served quickly without feeling rushed. Whether you’re craving something classic and comforting or a breakfast sandwich with a little extra oomph, the breakfast menu at Earl of Sandwich hits the mark for anyone seeking quality and convenience before a big Disney day. Menu And now, onto the main event — the food! Eats First up, we grabbed the Sausage, Egg & Cheddar for $8.99. This is made with Sausage, Eggs, Cheddar, and Breakfast Sauce. Sausage, Egg, and Cheddar This breakfast sandwich is one of those simple-but-so-satisfying breakfast sandwiches that just works. It’s hearty, warm, and exactly what you want when you’re heading into a long Disney day and need something filling without being too complicated. Every bite feels like classic breakfast comfort food in sandwich form. Inside of the sandwich The savory sausage is juicy and flavorful, the eggs are soft and fluffy, and the melted cheddar adds that perfect creamy, cheesy bite. What really ties it all together is Earl of Sandwich’s signature breakfast sauce — it adds a subtle, tangy, savory kick that gives the sandwich a little extra personality without overpowering the other flavors. But that wasn’t enough to satisfy our breakfast craving, so we also grabbed the Bacon Breakfast Burrito for $8.99. This one contains scrambled eggs, bacon, roasted potatoes, red peppers, red onions, Roma tomatoes, cheddar cheese & sour cream. Bacon Breakfast Burrito This burrito is basically everything you love about a full breakfast, wrapped up into one warm, portable situation. It might be a little messy as you start biting into it, but it’s hearty, comforting, and perfect if you want something filling that you can actually eat on the go before heading into the parks. This is the kind of breakfast order that keeps you full and happy well past the last few bites. Inside of the burrito Inside the burrito, you get soft scrambled eggs, chewy yet crisp bacon, and golden roasted potatoes for that satisfying, savory base. The red peppers, red onions, and Roma tomatoes add a fresh pop of flavor and color, while the melted cheddar cheese and creamy sour cream bring everything together into a rich, balanced bite that somehow still feels fresh and not overly heavy. We also grabbed the Breakfast BLT for $8.99. It’s made of bacon, lettuce, Roma tomato, and mayonnaise. Breakfast BLT If you love a good BLT, this one is a total comfort-order win. It’s not flashy, but it’s one of those sandwiches that just hits when you’re in the mood for something classic and easy to eat. It’s especially great if you’re not super hungry yet but still want something warm, savory, and satisfying before heading into a park day. YUMMMM The bacon is perfectly crisp with that smoky, salty bite, and the lettuce and Roma tomatoes bring a fresh, juicy crunch that keeps the sandwich feeling light. The mayo adds a creamy richness that melts into the warm bread and balances everything out, making each bite smooth, savory, and ridiculously easy to keep eating. And to really top off our meal, we needed something sweet, so we grabbed this looker — the Ube Yum Yum Coconut Cookie for $5.79. Ube Yum Yum Coconut Cookie This cookie is a vibrant take on the classic sweet treat, and honestly, it might be one of the most fun desserts on Earl of Sandwich’s menu! From the moment you pick it up, you can tell this isn’t your ordinary cookie; it’s chocked full of bright purple hues that hint at the tropical flavors inside, and its soft, chewy texture makes it feel a little extra special for an on-the-go indulgence. So sweet and delicious! The flavor is just as playful as the look! The subtle, earthy sweetness of ube pairs beautifully with the rich, toasty notes of coconut. It’s not overly sugary, and the coconut adds a gentle tropical crunch that gives the cookie a nice balance of texture and flavor. It’s the kind of dessert that leaves you more intrigued after every bite, making it a perfect sweet finish to a sandwich-centric meal or an easy snack while exploring Disney Springs. Nosh or Not This Disney World restaurant is a must-visit if… It’s fast, reliable, and perfect for early Disney mornings. Your food comes out quickly, it’s easy to eat on the go, and you’re not stuck waiting around for a reservation. The food is comforting without being heavy. Earl of Sandwich nails that sweet spot between “hearty enough to keep you full” and “not so heavy that you regret your life choices by 10 AM.” It’s budget-friendly. It’s affordable, portions are generous, and you don’t feel like you’re paying a premium just because you’re on Disney property. For families, solo travelers, and anyone trying to save their snack budget for later in the day, this is a major win. You should skip this Disney World spot if… It can get really busy. Earl of Sandwich is no secret anymore, which means it can get packed during peak breakfast hours, especially on weekends and mornings creeping into the brunching hours. It’s not the place for a relaxed, sit-down breakfast vibe. There’s limited seating during busy times, and it can feel a little chaotic when everyone’s trying to fuel up at once which isn’t exactly the calm start some people want for their park day. The Menu Is Comfort-Focused. If you’re looking for super light, ultra-healthy, or super adventurous breakfast options, you might find the choices a little limited. Overall Breakfast at Earl of Sandwich is one of those underrated Disney food experiences that just makes sense. It’s fast, more reasonably priced, and surprisingly satisfying, especially if you’re trying to fuel up before a long park day without committing to a full sit-down meal. Everything feels comforting and familiar, but with just enough personality to keep it from feeling boring. It’s the kind of place you pop into “just for something quick” and end up thinking, okay, wait…this is actually really good. Character dining has been an essential part of the Disney World experience for decades, with experiences like the buffet at Chef Mickey’s and breakfast at ‘Ohana, among many others, becoming somewhat legendary amongst many guests. We think there are several current Disney World restaurants that could become just as iconic character dining experiences. The Beast at Be Our Guest Restaurant Each of these restaurants already have heavily themed, immersive environments that would feel complete if there were some appropriate characters engaging with guests during their meals. Jungle Navigation Co. LTD Skipper Canteen Located across from the World Famous Jungle Cruise, Skipper Canteen has become a favorite among many Disney aficionados thanks to its heavily themed interior, which is designed to appear as a clubhouse of sorts for Jungle Cruise skippers. Each room is filled with easter eggs to both the classic attraction and the mythology associated with S.E.A. (AKA the Society of Explorers and Adventurers, the group that links several Disney attractions all over the world). Skipper Canteen So what could make it even better? How about characters! Maybe whacky Jungle Cruise Skippers going table to table delivering puns in the style of the ride? Or members of S.E.A. taking a respite from their journeys? REVIEW: Dad Jokes and SECRET Cheese Bread; We’ll Never Stop Raving About This Magic Kingdom Restaurant Or even some resurrected characters from Pleasure Island’s legendary Adventurers Club, which has been retroactively added to the S.E.A. canon over the years. The Adventurers Club! Beak and Barrel Remaining in Adventureland, there’s Disney’s newest lounge: The Beak and Barrel. The lounge features a heavily detailed interior, as well as special effects and even an animatronic parrot. Skull Bar at The Beak and Barrel The only thing missing? Pirates! Think about how cool it would be to have a buccaneer or two — either original pirate characters or pre-established characters from the Pirates of the Caribbean films and attractions — walking the establishment, or perhaps sitting at its bar, regaling guests with their seafaring exploits. FULL REVIEW of The Beak and Barrel in Magic Kingdom Be Our Guest Our final Magic Kingdom entry is probably the one most casual Disney fans would expect to already feature Disney characters: The Beauty and the Beast-themed Be Our Guest restaurant. After all, the massive eatery recreates settings from the animated film, like the ballroom, library, and the Beast’s east wing, in intricate detail. And yet, there are full-blown character appearances to bring the place to life. Be Our Guest ballroom Now, of course, we have to note that The Beast has appeared at the restaurant at times over the years, occasionally with a meet & greet component. However, it definitely feels like there could be more here. Whether it be Beast and Belle appearing together, some enchanted objects from the cast, or even Gaston! REVIEW: The BEST, the WORST, and a HIDDEN GEM Menu Item at Be Our Guest in Magic Kingdom Roundup Rodeo BBQ Moving over to Hollywood Studios, there’s Toy Story Land’s Roundup Rodeo BBQ. Much like Be Our Guest, this heavily themed Toy Story eatery feels like it could be used for a full Toy Story character dining experience. Roundup Rodeo It would even fit in with the land’s theme of being in Andy’s backyard. The Best Restaurants at Disney World in 2026 Each of these Disney World restaurants could definitely use an infusion of character to really up their game! The World of Frozen is going to offer the Frozen Ever After attraction, dining experiences, shopping, and the chance to meet Anna and Elsa in their castle! ©Disney Disneyland Paris shared a look inside Arendelle Castle, where guests will have the chance to meet Anna and Elsa as part of an experience called “Rencontre Royale”. ©Disney Fans of the iconic Disney film will recognize the many pieces that look like they’re pulled straight from the movie. Fans will recognize several of the paintings that Anna dances in front of, like a version of Jean-Honoré Fragonard’s famous painting “The Swing.” Do you recognize it? ©Disney The waiting area will also include two family portraits. One has Anna and Elsa as children with their parents, and the other has Anna and Elsa with Kristoff, Sven, and Olaf. The Senior Manager of Show Design at Walt Disney Imagineering Paris, Emma Yeates, said, “It allows visitors to truly feel transported to Arendelle Castle! From the wallpaper to the paintings, we’ve reproduced iconic pieces from Frozen, as well as portraits of members of the royal family to reinforce this sense of authenticity.” ©Disney Once you get into the room where you’ll meet the royalty of Arendelle, you’ll notice many pieces that look like they’re pulled from the movie. Look at the painting of the king — notice how he’s holding the two pieces Elsa holds on her coronation day?! Apparently, the clock that Anna has her feet up on during “Do You Want to Build a Snowman” is in this room as well. ©Disney Well, guess it’s time to start booking our trip to Disneyland Paris! ©Disney We’re so excited to be immersed in the World of Frozen at Disneyland Paris’ new park!
