  1. We didn’t mean to become Disney shoe experts…but here we are. One of our favorite shoes After thousands of hours walking the parks in every shoe imaginable, we’ve learned one very important truth: not all “good shoes” are actually good Disney shoes. Here’s what really worked, what didn’t, and what we’d pack again in a heartbeat. DISCLOSURE: This post may contain affiliate links, meaning when you click the links and make a purchase, we receive a commission. At some point, we realized something slightly unhinged about ourselves: we’ve basically turned Disney World into our personal shoe testing lab. Brooks Ghost 17 Between rope drops, fireworks, park hopping, hotel changes, festivals, and full-day touring strategies, we’ve easily logged thousands of hours walking the parks in every kind of shoe imaginable — HOKAs, Brooks, Nikes, Skechers, random Walmart sneakers, sandals, and more. And if there’s one thing we’ve learned the hard way, it’s this: Not all “good shoes” are actually good Disney shoes. These are THE Disney World shoes! So if you’ve ever stood in a shoe aisle wondering whether that pair will survive 25,000 steps in Florida heat…welcome. You’re our people. What We Learned the Hard Way About Disney Shoes Disney walking is its own sport. It’s not a quick jog or a treadmill workout — it’s hours of slow, repetitive walking on concrete, sudden stops for rides, standing in queues, heat, humidity, and sometimes torrential rain just to keep things spicy. Because of that, the shoes that feel fine at Target or on your neighborhood walk can absolutely betray you by 2 PM in EPCOT. Time to tackle Disney World! Over time, we learned to judge shoes based on very specific Disney-only criteria. Heel cushioning matters more than anything else because your heel takes the brunt of the impact over a long park day. Stability is non-negotiable thanks to uneven pavement, curbs, ride exits, and random ankle-twisting moments. Breathability becomes critical in Florida humidity because sweaty feet turn into blister factories fast. Water performance matters way more than you think, because wet shoes are basically emotional damage in sneaker form. And finally, the real test isn’t how a shoe feels in the first hour — it’s how it feels after hour six! That’s where most shoes fail. The HOKA Reality Check Let’s talk about HOKAs, because people have opinions. HOKA Clifton 10 We tested the HOKA Clifton 10 and Rincon 4 extensively, and yes, the cushioning is incredible! These shoes are cloud-level soft, and if you’re dealing with joint pain, plantar fasciitis, or heel sensitivity, they’re genuinely lifesavers. Hokas But…they are bulky. Especially in the heel. They’re not sleek, they’re not subtle, and if you’re even mildly self-conscious about your feet looking big, you will notice it. View on Amazon We also learned the hard way that they are not waterproof, which became extremely obvious during surprise downpours in Disney World. Our Hokas That said, comfort-wise, they’re top tier! View on Amazon But, we’d recommend for the ultimate catch… Did we just find the ULTIMATE rainy day solution? …to just pair them with waterproof shoe covers and call it a day. We have tested these shoe covers, and we promise, they really work. Are they the cutest things in the world? No. View on Amazon Brooks: The Reliable Overachiever Brooks shoes ended up being the quiet MVPs of our testing phase. What shoes do you wear in the parks? They don’t get as much TikTok hype as HOKAs, but in real-world Disney use, they were consistently stable, cushioned without feeling squishy, and easier to walk naturally in for long stretches. View on Amazon They also handled heat better than expected and didn’t trap sweat the way some bulkier shoes do. Brooks Ghost 17s If you want something that feels like a “normal shoe but upgraded for Disney punishment,” Brooks is a very solid pick! View on Amazon The Walmart Shoes Surprise Now here’s where things get interesting. We tested a few budget athletic shoes from Walmart, fully expecting them to fail spectacularly. But to our surprise, we found a pair that genuinely kind of shocked us. Avia Women’s Runners They weren’t luxury comfort, and they didn’t hold up for back-to-back 12-hour park days. View on Amazon But they were surprisingly decent for half-days, travel days, or backup shoes if your main pair gets soaked. They’re so comfy! If you’re on a budget or need an extra pair to rotate between days, Walmart shoes can absolutely work, just don’t make them your only option! View on Amazon The Biggest Disney Shoe Truth Nobody Tells You There is no single perfect Disney shoe. Your ideal shoe depends on your foot shape, your walking style, how long your park days are, whether you’re rope-dropping or casually strolling, your tolerance for bulk versus sleekness, and how much rain you’re willing to gamble with. Brooks Ghost 17s The best strategy we’ve landed on is bringing two different pairs and rotating them. Breaking them in before your trip is non-negotiable, though! View on Amazon Throwing blister patches into your park bag is just smart planning. Moleskin And accepting that wet feet will emotionally ruin your day if you’re not prepared will save you a meltdown. View on Amazon So…What Should You Actually Buy? If you want our real-world Disney ranking, it’s time to walk you through our superlatives that earned their honors. HOKA Women’s Clifton 10 Sneakers The best overall comfort goes to HOKA, the best balance of comfort and stability goes to Brooks, the best budget backup option comes from Walmart athletic sneakers, and the best overall strategy is a two-shoe rotation paired with waterproof covers. We didn’t spend thousands of hours testing shoes on purpose…but since we did, we might as well save you the pain and trust us when we say your feet will thank you for what you’re NOT making them struggle through! We’re always on the hunt for the latest and greatest Disney souvenirs and essentials, so don’t forget to stay tuned to the Disney Food Blog for more! View the full article
  2. In 2025, our team reviewed over 100 restaurants in Disney World! Our meal at Cinderella’s Royal Table Everything from character meals to pool bars to snack stands to signature dining was on our review list, and we had some incredibly memorable experiences eating our way around Disney World. But along the way, we also learned some important tips and lessons — today we’re here to share them with you! The Spots That Pleasantly Surprised Us Of course, one of the most important things we did in 2025 was try a bunch of new snacks and dining offerings. Several of those pleasantly surprised us! One new addition to the menu at Kringla Bakeri og Kafe in EPCOT this year was the Cinnamon Roll with Orange Cream Cheese Icing for $7.49. This was a delicious shock to us! That orange flavor was light and bright without being too overwhelming and paired wonderfully with the cream cheese and cinnamon. We’d definitely put this on our recommended breakfast options list for your next visit. Cinnamon Roll with Orange Cream Cheese Icing Another big addition to EPCOT this year was the adults-only lounge, GEO-82. Not only does this spot have a spectacular view of the park and a super cool location inside Spaceship Earth, but our reporters who reviewed this spot said it might have the best overall drinks and the #1 best charcuterie in all of Disney World. We said what we said! Chef’s Selection Charcuterie at GEO-82 Speaking of lounges, you know we’ve got to talk about The Beak and Barrel, Magic Kingdom‘s only bar! This pirate-themed space may be on the pricey end, but if you’re a big fan of the super-themed lounges they’ve been adding to the new Disney Cruise Line ships, this is as close as you’ll get to those on land. Honestly, worth a visit for the vibes alone! (You may just want to budget a little extra for this stop.) Skull Bar at The Beak and Barrel Back to snack options, there’s a SECOND new cinnamon roll you need to know about in Disney World — the Mickey-shaped Bacon-Pecan-Caramel Cinnamon Roll is available at Westward Ho in Magic Kingdom for $8.49. This was gooey and sweet with crunchy pecans and lots of caramel. A much-needed addition to Frontierland for breakfast. OBSESSED One of our other favorite breakfast spots in Magic Kingdom is Gaston’s Tavern, but now that restaurant is starting to level up its lunch menu as well! We loved the Ham and Gruyere Tart they used to serve here, but we might love the Ham and Gruyere Sandwich even MORE. This is cheesy and savory and has some lovely crispy edges on the toasted bread. It’s $10.79 and served with a side of chips. Ham and Gruyère Sandwich Did we expect that one of our favorite snacks of the year would be on a pool bar menu? Absolutely not! But at Hurricane Hanna’s Waterside Bar and Grill, we tried the Loaded Crab Fries for $11.79. They’re absolutely loaded with crab meat, cheese curds, bacon pieces, and crab bisque, and they are TO DIE FOR. Thankfully, it’s pretty easy to get to this pool bar if you’re walking from Beach Club to Yacht Club along Crescent Lake, because we’ll be back for these again and again. Loaded Crab Fries One of the big restaurant changes of the year was Shula’s closing at the Walt Disney World Dolphin, and Bourbon Steak by Michael Mina opening in its place. This fancy steakhouse has a French fry “bread service” and some of the most melt-in-your-mouth steak we’ve ever tried. Seriously, if you’re interested in adding a nice dinner to one of your vacation nights, this would be near the top of our recommendations. Steak at Bourbon Steak Last on our list of notable new items (and one of my personal faves!) are the Pulled Pork and Pulled Chicken Arepas at The Smiling Crocodile in Animal Kingdom. The Smiling Crocodile had a bit of a tumultuous year with menu changes and weird hours, but now they’re open for lunch with two arepa options on the menu. Since these arrived and I ate them for a review, I’ve stopped by and ordered the chicken one FOUR more times for lunch when I’m in the parks. I can’t get enough. Pulled Chicken Cheese Arepa But those are just the newbies with which we’re currently obsessed! What about the classics that have been around for years? Classics We Loved Yet Again To be the best in the business when it comes to Disney World dining, you’ve got to keep going back to spots you’ve already reviewed to make sure they’re still up to snuff. This means we rotate through restaurants — some popular spots get reviewed every six months while others get visited every year or two, or when there’s a menu change. So, this section is all about the places that impressed us yet again in 2025. First up, we have Swirls on the Water! We visit this snack spot at Disney Springs pretty frequently, because they change their menu with each season or major holiday. One of our go-to items here (and a must-try for classic Disney snack fans) is the Dole Whip Flight. The flavors will change frequently, but it’s a great way to sample unique Dole Whip creations you haven’t tried before in smaller portions. Dole Whip Flight at Swirls on the Water The Cake Bake Shop by Gwendolyn Rogers opened at Disney’s BoardWalk in 2024, and in 2025, The Cake Bake Shop Bakery was a spot that we visited several times. This is a great way to get some of the restaurant’s most spectacular desserts without making a dining reservation, and they have the most incredible cake slices with different seasonal flavors. Look at those layers! If you’ve been a fan of DFB for a while, you know we’re absolute suckers for Les Halles Boulangerie-Patisserie in EPCOT’s France Pavilion. This bakery in the very back of the pavilion always seems to have a long line, and for GOOD reason. Their pastries are excellent, but some of our favorite eats are the savory options, from the Croque Monsieur to the Jambon Beurre to the Lobster Bisque. You’ll find us dining here for lunch fairly often. Jambon Beurre Another DFB fave? Wine Bar George at Disney Springs! This has one of Disney World’s best brunches, and their Mac and Cheese Bites are one of our favorite small bites out there. The vibes are perfect for a chill dinner with friends or a relaxing way to enjoy your day off from the parks. Crispy Mac & Cheese Bites Okay, we’ve got to keep telling you about this hidden gem breakfast in Disney World, because people are not giving it enough hype. Ale & Compass at Yacht Club Resort has an excellent breakfast option where you can enjoy Continental Breakfast-style eats alongside made-to-order entrees. It’s one of the more affordable sit-down meals you can try in Disney World, too. Ale & Compass The EPCOT Resort area is a pretty spectacular dining hub, because another spot we reviewed again this year and loved was Beaches & Cream. This soda shop has classic sandwiches and sides, plus some of the most spectacular ice cream creations on property. Our team fave is the No Way José, which has peanut butter, hot fudge, chocolate, vanilla ice cream, peanut butter and chocolate morsels, whipped cream, and a cherry. No Way Jose Our last entry in this category is another one I personally reviewed — lunch at Steakhouse 71! This restaurant has fast become a fan-favorite since it opened for Disney World’s 50th Anniversary in 2021. Some of our go-to entrees here are the grilled cheese and the stack burger, and of course, you can’t stop by without ordering some of their signature chocolate cake! A look inside! But not everything we ate in 2025 was spectacular…there were some things we’re not super eager to try again. Eats We’re Not Eager to Try Again After years of being empty, a new snack spot opened in the old funnel cake stand at Disney’s BoardWalk. The menu is pretty standard fare, though we were intrigued by “Salt Water Taffy Popcorn.” This turned out to be a prepackaged mix that mostly tasted like sugar and a trip to the dentist. Fun color-wise, but not nearly as exciting as it sounds. Saltwater Taffy Popcorn One rather chaotic meal we had in 2025 was Chef Mickey’s at the Contemporary Resort. While I felt that the food quality had improved for breakfast since the last time I was here, the experience was kind of wild. The character interactions were rushed, and so was the meal. I’ve been to other character meals with Mickey and friends in Disney World that were more relaxed (and where I got to see the characters multiple times). I also found that it seemed like there were constantly other guests in your personal space with the way the booth tables are set up. It’s a classic meal that’s great to do just to say you did, but it’s not the #1 experience for character dining either. Chef Mickey! There are a few different “burger and chicken tenders” quick service restaurants in the Disney World parks, but probably the least of them is Backlot Express at Hollywood Studios. With some other, more interesting dining options nearby, my dry, unseasoned burger wasn’t something I care to enjoy again. They have one or two decent items on the menu, but I would rank most other Hollywood Studios quick service spots higher. (However, they DO have plastic cheese!) Angus Bacon Cheeseburger Lessons We Learned in 2025 One of our reporters visited Frontera Cocina at Disney Springs in 2025, and she described it as “the closest thing to truly authentic Mexican food I’ve ever had at Disney World.” This has been one of the most underrated dining locations in Disney Springs for years, but it’s owned by Chef Rick Bayless, so you know the quality is top-tier. Carnitas Tacos Another spot where our reporters stopped? Jiko. The reviewer described this one as the “crowned jewel of Disney’s Animal Kingdom Lodge dining,” and we couldn’t agree more. Boma and Sanaa are truly spectacular, but Jiko’s experience is just on another level. Really, you can’t go wrong with any restaurant at this resort. Our meal! You know we’re huge fans of Chef Art Smith’s Homecomin’, and that’s nothing new, but in 2025, we tried a new venture — ranking ALL the desserts on the menu. Our reporter said it was “one of the hardest things I’ve ever been asked to rank.” To see the results, click here! Hummingbird Cake I’ve reviewed Tony’s Town Square Restaurant for the blog now two years in a row, and y’all, this place has STEPPED UP. Personally, my big takeaway is that the appetizers are the menu’s strong suit. I would highly recommend the garlic bread with Parmesan fondue or the foot-long mozzarella sticks. They’re not new, but they’re not talked about enough! Delicious! Another spot people aren’t raving about enough? The Daily Poutine at Disney Springs! I’ve loved their basic menu here for years, but in 2025, I got the chance to try several of their seasonal treats, and every single one of them hit for me. If you love fries loaded with toppings, you might want to pick this over some of the more well-known snacks in Disney Springs. Truffle Mushroom Frites Last but not least, I’ve got to mention Maya Grill at Disney’s Coronado Springs Resort. I went here for a dinner dining review, and the fish tacos were excellent, the Pork Osso Bucco was to die for, and the atmosphere was perfect for a romantic date night. Warm lighting, windows that give a great view of sunset, and a live guitarist performing Disney love songs almost made me sad that I was doing this meal alone. Not enough couples are choosing this spot! Spread at Maya Grill So there you have it, some of the biggest takeaways from our 2025 roundup of dining reviews! 5. Welcome to 2026, when we bet a lot of folks are starting to go all in on Disney World vacation planning, and why wouldn’t you? Disney just released a SLEW of great deals that are a good motivator to visit the parks in Orlando, after all. We’ll still be visiting almost every day because we just can never get enough of Disney. Magic Kingdom entrance However, if you are in the middle of your vacation planning, you may want to consider skipping one of the parks. Now, you might think we’d tell you to skip Disney’s Animal Kingdom, since an entire area of the park will be completely closed for a while to make way for a new land. But nope, there’s actually a good reason to skip Disney World’s most popular park, Magic Kingdom. So why would people skip visiting Magic Kingdom? Well, we don’t think EVERYONE will skip Magic Kingdom, but there will be some frustrating things happening in Magic Kingdom very soon. Now, you’re all probably aware of all the construction happening in the park, but we’re not even talking about that. Construction at Magic Kingdom You see, Cinderella Castle is getting a new paint job to go from the pink hues it got for Disney World’s 50th Anniversary Celebration back to its original silver and blue colors. And while that’s exciting, it’s also a big problem for folks visiting Magic Kingdom. ©Disney While the castle is getting painted, it’s going to look a lot different. First, the stones on the castle will probably have numbers on them, because Disney basically uses a paint-by-numbers system with each number corresponding to an exact shade, so that the castle’s colors are JUST so. This is how Disney painted the castle for the 50th. Paint-By-Numbers Castle And if that’s not unsightly enough, you’re also going to see a lot of equipment around the castle, including cranes and lifts that will allow workers to reach the castle’s highest points. Luckily, Disney has said that the cranes will be lowered by noon each day, but this could still create some unsightly photos. Castle painting for the 50th There’s also the chance of seeing some construction walls around the castle. Now, why do we bring all this up? Well, this means that those iconic Cinderella Castle photos that EVERYONE gets on their Disney World vacation are not going to look all that great because of all that extra unsightly stuff. Hopefully, the work will be done sometime in 2026, but those castle photos will be all but ruined while the painting is happening. Castle painting in 2020 Another reason that Magic Kingdom might be frustrating in 2026 is due to crowds. We expect to see a lot of folks in Disney World this year, especially after Disney dropped all those great discounts and deals (which we’re sure had Disney’s intended effect in getting people to book trips). A lot of folks will want to see Magic Kingdom, meaning a lot of folks are going to be IN Magic Kingdom. Add that to the construction, which will create bottlenecks in a lot of places, and Magic Kingdom is going to look and feel more crowded. Magic Kingdom could be crowded this year. So, should you skip Magic Kingdom if you’re visiting Disney World? Well, NO, but you should be aware of these frustrating problems ahead of your visit. We’ll be sharing more of our tips and tricks for having the best Disney World vacation possible, so stay tuned to DFB for more. “Good. 7. Disney California Adventure’s Lunar New Year Festival is back with a fresh lineup of limited-time food. Hotteok-Inspired MIckey Waffles Disney California Adventure has once again rolled out a full lineup of Lunar New Year Festival dishes, and we tasted our way through them ALL! Here’s our complete roundup of what we tried, what surprised us, and what we’d absolutely order again. Disney California Adventure’s Lunar New Year Festival is one of the park’s most colorful and culturally rich seasonal celebrations, honoring traditions inspired by Chinese, Korean, and Vietnamese cultures. The festival runs from January 23rd to February 22nd and features a mix of limited-time food booths, themed entertainment, character meet-and-greets, and festive décor throughout the park. It’s a fan-favorite time to visit, thanks to the blend of vibrant atmosphere and exclusive menu items you can only find during the festival window. Mulan New Year Procession Food is the real star of the show here, with marketplaces offering savory dishes, sweet treats, and specialty beverages inspired by Lunar New Year flavors and comfort foods. Better yet, you can opt to pick up a Sip and Savor Pass to sample multiple items at a discounted rate during the festival, making it easier (and more fun) to try a variety of dishes in one visit. Between the rotating menus, live performances, and appearances by characters like Mulan, Mushu, and Mickey in festive outfits, the Lunar New Year Festival feels like a full sensory celebration, and the perfect excuse to snack your way around Disney. BOARDWALK PIZZA & PASTA Next up we tried out the Korean Pork Belly Pizza for $9.49. It’s made with roasted soy-glazed pork belly with kimchi cucumber, mozzarella, yellow corn, sesame seeds, and kimchi marinara served as a slice or a whole pie (for an additional charge). We loved the mix of sweet, savory, and cheesy flavors. We did expect some heat from the kimchi marinara and kimchi cucumbers, but we didn’t get much flavor from those. The pork belly, which you get a lot of, was tender, and the soy glaze gave it a nice sweetness. The corn added more sweetness and gave off a perfect cheesy corn combo vibe. Korean Pork Belly Pizza We couldn’t pass up an opportunity to grab something sweet, so we also picked up the Pandan Cheesecake. This new dessert is made of Pandan-flavored cheesecake, brown butter graham crust, coconut whipped topping, and strawberry jam, and will cost you $7.79. This is a lovely, light, and refreshing snack. The main flavor comes from the pandan (which has a vanilla-like flavor) and the coconut. The brown sugar graham cracker crust adds a nice cinnamon and sugar flavor to the whole. Pandan Cheesecake SCHMOOZIES! From Schmoozies! we locked-in on the Hotteok-Inspired Mickey-shaped Waffles made of red batter waffles with brown sugar and cinnamon custard, yellow whipped topping, and sprinkles. These are a new offering this year and will cost you $11.29. The Schmoozies waffles are always a big hit with us, and this one is no different. The waffle is a regular Mickey waffle that’s been dyed red, while you’ve got the yellow whipped cream (which we didn’t even feel was necessary and stained our hands yellow). Hotteok-Inspired Mickey-shaped Waffles The star of this dish is the brown sugar cinnamon custard. It has a consistency almost like cake batter, and the spices almost make us think of the holidays. It goes SO well with the waffle batter Disney uses, so the flavors just meld into one beautifully delicious treat. You can’t ever go wrong with Mickey waffles. PARADISE GARDEN GRILL The new Lemongrass Pork Skewers were on our list to try next! It’s made of grilled lemongrass-marinated pork belly skewers served with fried garlic rice, pickled carrots and daikon radish, and a side salad for $18.49. The pork is fatty, rich, and tender, and it just melts in the mouth. Just one of these babies also makes for a very filling snack. We didn’t get much flavor from the lemongrass, though. Lemongrass Pork Skewers Then we set our sights on trying the new Vietnamese Coffee Roulade. It’s a coffee sponge, Vietnamese coffee mousse, coffee cookie crumble, and sweetened condensed milk whipped cream you can snag for $7.29. Honestly, this was just a pretty average coffee cake. The whipped cream added a nice texture and vanilla flavor, while the cake tasted like a 50% chocolate and 50% coffee, so you got a nice balance of flavors. It’s good, but not something we’d go out of our way to get again. Vietnamese Coffee Roulade To drink, we also picked up the Strawberry-Lychee Cocktail made of bourbon, strawberry purée, lychee syrup, and lime juice, garnished with a skewered lime gummy. This one will cost you $17.25. This is a very refreshing drink that’s light on the bourbon flavor, making it very drinkable. The main flavor is strawberry, and it tastes fresh and natural. The lychee adds a floral note that doesn’t stand out too much. Strawberry Lychee Cocktail PYM TEST KITCHEN It was time to get our savory snack on with the new Spicy Pork Belly Grilled Cheese! These are $15.49 and are made with pork belly marinated in Korean spices with white American cheese, spicy aïoli, pickled onions, sourdough bread, and green onion crust served with potato bites. The pork belly is shredded, so you’re not getting that traditional pork belly texture. However, we have to warn you, this is VERY spicy with a lot of flavors going on. There’s a little heat coming from the pork belly, but the spicy aioli is what’s really bringing the heat. Spicy Pork Belly Grilled Cheese The texture of the bread is good, and we’re happy to report that it doesn’t get soggy with all that sauce inside the sandwich. If you like spicy stuff and grilled cheese, this is your new favorite meal. It also comes with a tasty pickled onion cucumber salad that has some nice crunch and tanginess. SPICY CHURROS AT HOLLYWOOD LAND Then it was time to try the new Feng Li Su Churro for $7.50! It’s made of a churro rolled in shortbread sugar, topped with pineapple jelly and cherry-flavored popping pearls. Feng Li Su is a type of Taiwanese pineapple cake, so this churro is giving off summer cake vibes. The shortbread sugar is very grainy, but it makes sense for this snack. However, we wish it had more sugar and less shortbread. The pineapple jelly and popping cherry pearls are a refreshing addition that adds a lot of great flavor. Feng Li Su Churro AUNT CASS CAFE Over in San Fransokyo Square is where we turned to try out the new Year of the Horse Bread! This one will cost you $14.49 to pick up and is made of horse-shaped Boudin sourdough bread and is a plant-based offering for this year’s festival. This is the same sourdough bread you can pick up here in other shapes, but if you haven’t had Boudin sourdough, it’s a MUST. Year of the Horse Bread We also grabbed the Strawberry Green Tea Bread Pudding for $8.49 here. It’s made of strawberry and green tea-layered bread pudding with green tea crème anglaise and whipped topping. Now this one’s only available with a Sip and Savor Pass through February 22nd, but without it, it’ll be around through March 5th and is new to this year’s offerings. The main flavors that come through are the strawberry and the green tea crème anglaise, and those two flavors pair to make a fresh, sweet, and floral-flavored treat. The bread pudding here is always served warm, so it’s wonderfully gooey. We were honestly surprised at how good a green tea dessert could be, but the tea only offers a mild flavor. Strawberry Green Tea Bread Pudding We picked up the new Almond Cold Brew for $7.29 to wash it all down. It’s made of almond cold brew with orange cold foam and is also available through March 5th. Here’s the thing…you can’t taste the almond flavor at all, and the drink is overwhelmed by the orange flavor in the cold foam (which is almost half the drink!). The cold foam has a nice creamy taste, and then you get the mild and bitter coffee flavor at the end of each sip. Almond Cold Brew STUDIO CATERING CO. Time to turn our attention to the Tteokbokki from Studio Catering Co. It’ll cost you $8.29 to try this new festival item made of rice cakes with gochujang sauce topped with cheese, sesame seeds, and green onions. The sauce itself is great. It’s spicy and full of flavor. However, the rice cakes are flavorless, doughy, and rubbery, which just didn’t work for us. However, we were told that the texture is traditionally al dente and chewy, which is exactly what it was, so although it didn’t work for us, others may like it. Tteokbokki There’s plenty more to explore at this year’s Lunar New Year Festival at Disney California Adventure. Be sure you’re following along with us to see it all! 8. One of the BEST festivals has returned to Disney California Adventure in Disneyland! The Lunar New Year Festival runs from January 23rd through February 22nd, 2026, this year, and we’re bringing you everything you need to know. Lucky 8 Lantern Full Spread The festival brings in special entertainment, characters, and more, but most importantly, it brings in food booths with some seriously stellar eats and drinks. We’ve visited the festival and pretty much tasted EVERYTHING, so we’re sharing everything you need to eat and drink at the 2026 Lunar New Year Festival! New Bests These are our favorite items that are making their debut at the festival this year! Let’s take a look at what new items we think you need to try out. Five-Spice Popcorn Chicken at Bamboo Blessings We were super impressed with the new Five-Spice Popcorn Chicken with sweet chile-garlic sauce. It’ll cost you $9.50, and not only was the chicken perfectly moist and very well seasoned, but the sauce was incredible. Five-Spice Popcorn Chicken The sauce does have a kick to it, but the sweetness evens it out very well. We don’t think it’ll be too much for most people, unless you know that you’re spice-adverse as a whole. We’d absolutely get it again! Guava Dragon Fruit Sparkler at Bamboo Blessings If you’re looking for a refreshing drink, the Guava Dragon Fruit Sparkler for $8.50 is a major recommendation from us. This is a non-alcoholic drink with Simply Lemonade, Topo Chico, and guava and dragon fruit syrups garnished with frozen dragon fruit Guava Dragon Fruit Sparkler The dragonfruit cubes were absolutely stunning in this drink and helped with that truly refreshing flavor, but we recommend you stir it up to ensure you get all the flavors. Even if it’s a rainy and colder day, we recommend! Japchae Noodles at Longevity Noodle Co. We absolutely loved the Japchae Noodles with Kalbi short rib for $9.50! Japchae Noodles and Garlic Noodles The Kalbi short rib has a sweet and savory flavor we loved, and the beef was cooked perfectly. The noodles were also cooked perfectly, despite their slightly gelatinous look, and we were big fans of the flavor the mushrooms and veggies added. If you’re looking for something savory, this is a great choice. Unsung Brewing Company Photo Nuclear Orange at Prosperity Bao & Buns Out of the new beers at this booth, the Unsung Brewing Company Photo Nuclear Orange for $18.50 was easily our favorite. Photo Nuclear Orange This tasted like a creamy orange dreamsicle (you know, the ice cream that so many of us loved as kids?), and having that in a beer form? We loved it! Cold Brew Cocktail at Wrapped With Love For the coffee fans, you won’t want to miss the Cold Brew Cocktail for $19.50, which is made with bourbon, Joffrey’s Coffee & Tea Co. Vietnamese-style Coffee, cocoa powder, and condensed milk, garnished with taro chocolate sweet cream and a chocolate wafer stick. A non-alcoholic version is also available for $7.75. Cold Brew Cocktail The main flavor here is the coffee, but the Taro cream added an earthy, sweet flavor we really enjoyed. The bourbon wasn’t overly strong either, which we appreciated, but be sure to stir the drink up before taking a sip since it does sink to the bottom. Returning Bests We had a lot of new items that we really enjoyed, but there are also some returning items that you need to try! Strawberry Milk Tea Macaron at Bamboo Blessings The Strawberry Milk Tea Macaron truly blew us away with how natural the strawberry tasted — there wasn’t a hint of artificial-tasting flavor in there. It does cost $9, but it’s pretty large! Strawberry Milk Tea Macaron Not only is it gorgeous looking, but the milk tea jelly on the inside truly does nail the flavor, creating a perfect balance with the sweetness of the strawberry. We highly recommend! Char Siu BBQ Pork Bao at Prosperity Bao & Buns Not only is the Char Siu BBQ Pork Bao with pickled red onions and jalapeño for $9.25 wonderful to look at due to its gorgeous design, but it’s just as great to eat! Char Siu BBQ Pork Bao It’s a great mix of sweet and spicy, and those pickled onions give the dish a fantastic crunch. The bao was soft and pillowy as ever, and we’d eat this over and over again. Kung Pao Bun at Prosperity Bao & Buns The Kung Pao Bun is plant-based (but we never would have known if it wasn’t for saying it on the listing), and is made with plant-based chicken, toasted peanuts, and scallions for $9. Kung Pao Bao The “chicken” has incredible flavor, and the nuttiness from the peanuts really just adds to that. Then adding in the tanginess of the scallions? Yes, please! Mandarin Orange Cream Puff at Red Dragon Spice Traders The Mandarin Orange Cream Puff, filled with citrus cream and Mandarin compote, is available for $9, and we truly LOVED it. Mandarin Orange Cream Puff The top was crispy, but the rest of the puff was soft, and the mandarin compote in the middle had a baby food-like consistency, which meant it tasted SUPER fresh, and it blended super well with the thicker citrus cream. If you love fruity flavors, do not miss this one. Best Booth Prosperity Bao & Buns Basically, everything at this booth was a hit for us! Both of the baos available were delicious and didn’t let us down in the slightest. The beer flight was also solid, with a few of them really standing out above the rest. If there’s one booth to visit this year, it’s Prosperity Bao & Buns! Full spread at Prosperity Bao & Buns We’ll be on the lookout for even more updates you need to know about from Disney California Adventure and beyond! 10. It looks like a new park is coming right next door to Disney World, only this one features Barbie and Hot Wheels! ©The New Yorker There’s been a lot of buzz around Mattel lately, and how they’re looking to bring their products to their fans in new ways! Now we have word of a new park they are planning to build near Disney World: a new WATER park. According to People, Mattel’s very first indoor water park has found a home in Orlando. They said, “documents show that the Mattel Wonder Indoor Waterparks will be located on an 11-acre lot in Orlando, 10 minutes away from Disney World. The park will be at Vineland Road, not far from Lake Buena Vista Factory Stores.” ©Mattel The space will be a “90,000-square-foot indoor water park with a retractable roof, an outdoor water park and event lawn, a ‘slide zone’ spanning roughly 42,000 square feet, and over 11,000 square feet of retail space.” Talk about an experience — which will feature wave pools, water slides, and lazy rivers throughout the water park. ©Mattel Mattel said back in November of 2025 that they plan on building “Mattel Wonder Indoor Waterparks” in five different locations, which included Florida. It makes sense to put it in the spot that draws people in already, with Disney World and Universal Studios. The park is expected to incorporate iconic Mattel brands such as Barbie and Hot Wheels. ©Mattel The aquatic design firm Martin Aquatic will lead the “concept-to-engineering design” of the water park experience. This is the same firm that has done the likes of Royal Caribbean’s Perfect Day at CocoCay, Universal Orlando’s Volcano Bay, and The Ritz-Carlton Naples. Volcano Bay at Universal Orlando Josh Martin, president and creative director, said he anticipates the park will feature an “exclusive ride that will be a water slide that you can only experience at Mattel.” He also made a point that Mattel is focused more on “classic, iconic elements” and not as focused on characters. “Mattel has an incredible history of board games and Mattel toys and games, and so being able to look at things like Uno, and think outside the box — what if I were to design a water slide that was around Uno? What elements would I include that feel like you’re playing the game?” Disney Uno We’re excited to see how this project turns out. There are going to be lots of good options in Orlando to cool off. The tough thing will be choosing where to go — but that’s a good problem to have. For more theme park news and updates, make sure to stay tuned to the Disney Food Blog. 12. The Walt Disney Company CEO Bob Iger is set to leave the company in 2026. Ahead of that, Iger’s salary increased around 12% from $41.1 million in 2024 to $45.8 million in 2025, according to Deadline. ©Disney However, one thing that many of us are thinking about is who will replace Iger as CEO of the company. Names have been tossed around, but it looks like we’ll have a name revealed soon because Disney says that it’s still on track to name Iger’s successor in early 2026. Disney Chairman James Gorman has stressed the board’s commitment to naming Iger’s successor in early 2026, which means we could have an announcement any day now. Disney also set its annual shareholders meeting for March 16th at 10 AM PST, which could be when we learn who will be taking over as head of the company. Walt Disney Company Headquarters in Burbank Gorman wrote, “Management succession planning remains a top priority for the Board, reflecting its importance to business continuity and long-term shareholder value. Oversight of the process is led by our dedicated Succession Planning Committee, and all directors have actively participated in a rigorous and ongoing evaluation of potential successor candidates, including direct engagement, performance assessment and consideration of leadership capabilities aligned with the Company’s long-term strategy. The appointment of the next CEO will be determined by the full Board, and we currently expect to announce the appointment of the Company’s next CEO in early 2026.” The Walt Disney Company In October 2025, Bloomberg released a report suggesting that Disney had narrowed its search for its next CEO to Josh D’Amaro, Chairman of Disney Experiences, and Dana Walden, Co-Chairman of Disney Entertainment. Bloomberg then polled 700 industry experts, showing that most believe that D’Amaro will be named the next CEO of The Walt Disney Company. Josh D’Amaro at Destination D23, 2023 ©Disney Of course, we won’t know anything for certain until Disney makes an official announcement, and when they do, we’ll be sure to let you know all about it. 13. As we’ve discussed in the past, there are distinct strategies for rope dropping Walt Disney World’s theme parks. However, the approach to one of the parks is about to change… at least temporarily. Hollywood Studios Of all the changes happening at Walt Disney World right now, one park that is changing quite a bit is Hollywood Studios. The park is in the midst of a massive evolution to changes like the new Monsters, Inc. Monstropolis-themed land, the newly revamped Disney Studios area taking over the former Animation Courtyard, and — our focus today — the Muppet takeover of the Rock ’n’ Roller Coaster. On March 2nd, the current iteration of the Rock ’n’ Roller Coaster — the Aerosmith-centric version of the attraction that opened in 1999 — is set to close forever, with the new Muppet-ized version, which should debut in the summer. ©Disney While the new Muppet version is sure to be mega-popular and bring its own crowd flow changes, right now we’re looking at the roughly 4-6 months that the coaster will be closed completely, and how that might change the rope drop strategy of many guests. See, for many years, it was common for guests to head into the park, swing left off of Hollywood Boulevard, and walk down Sunset Boulevard to hit the Rock ’n’ Roller Coaster and its neighbor, the Twilight Zone Tower of Terror, first thing in the morning. (Incidentally, we’d like to know how many saved breakfast for AFTER these two thrilling E-Tickets). However, for the duration of the coaster’s closure, it’s probably unwise to head straight down Sunset Boulevard at rope drop as the only draw will be Tower of Terror. And while we still love the marvel of Disney Imagineering that is the tower, realistically, there are better early rope drop options when considering how the park’s wait times usually shake out. ©Disney For example, guests can instead keep walking down Hollywood Boulevard to the Chinese Theater, and instead try and knock out the still always-busy Mickey & Minnie’s Runway Railway… Mickey and Minnie’s Runaway Railway … or they can head around the theater and instead try to snag a seat on the mega-popular (often with the park’s longest average wait) Slinky’s Dog Dash in Story Story Land. Slinky Dog Dash They can even walk all the way to the park’s — and the galaxy’s — furthest reaches to try and snag a seat with Lieutenant Bek on Rise of the Resistance in Galaxy’s Edge. Rise of the Resistance Speaking of the Star Wars-themed land, there may be another rope drop-worthy ride in Batuu come May, as the mega-popular Mandalorian and Grogu are being added to new missions on Millennium Falcon: Smugglers Run. New missions will be added to Millennium Falcon: Smugglers run in Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge at Disneyland Resort and Walt Disney World Resort featuring the Mandalorian and Grogu. Like we said above, the new Muppet version of the Rock ’n’ Roller Coaster may become a rope drop staple once it opens, but during the period between the “Bad Boys of Boston’s” final encore and Kermit and co.’s debut, it’s probably wise to shift early morning strategy away from Sunset Boulevard. 17. World of Frozen in Disneyland Paris opens in just a few weeks on March 29th. It’s part of their new park, Disney Adventure World, which features Frozen’s Arendelle, Marvel’s Avengers Campus, and Worlds of Pixar with Toy Story and Ratatouille. World of Frozen ©Disney World of Frozen will have a new boat ride, show, restaurant, and multiple shops. Disneyland Paris’ Instagram just released some pictures of the land, and now we’re even more excited about all the new food! The new restaurant, Nordic Crowns Tavern, will have Nordic-inspired cuisine. It’s quick-service open for lunch and dinner with a customizable dining experience. The menu will have 16 possible combinations with bases like mashed potatoes or quinoa, proteins such as grilled salmon or Nordic meatballs, seasonal vegetables, and toppings of tangy cranberry or creamy dill sauce. ©Disney For dessert options, Nordic Crown Tavern offers blue sorbet, vanilla ice cream, snowflake treats, and traditional pastries. Their Instagram had a new picture of the vanilla ice cream – it’s served in a waffle cone bowl with sprinkles and an Arendelle logo topping. The ice cream and sorbet options look customizable with a waffle cone or cake cone bowl, vanilla ice cream or blue sorbet, snowflake sprinkles in white, blue, or purple, and a decorative topping of the Arenelle logo or Olaf. World of Frozen Vanilla Ice Cream Disney also previewed the new snowflake treat! Disney hasn’t released what exactly this is, but it looks like a cake – maybe even a mousse or ice cream cake fitting the frozen treat theme – coated in a hardened vanilla bean frosting. Either way, we can’t wait to dig in! World of Frozen Snowflake Treat Disney previously teased Rúna, a baby troll toy sold at the Fjord View Shop. She reacts to touch, blinks her eyes, moves her ears, lights up, communicates with other trolls, and interacts with locations and characters across the land. Rúna the Baby Troll We predict that Rúna is hiding some snacks. She’s very large for a toy and has a crossbody strap like the character popcorn buckets across the Disney parks. Last year, Disneyland and Hollywood Studios sold an interactive Mickey Mouse popcorn bucket that could blink, turn its head, and talk to you. This time, Rúna could be an interactive popcorn bucket with the land itself! Mickey! World of Frozen will also feature the boat ride Frozen Ever After and a new show with Olaf. You can interact with shopkeeper Oaken and baby troll Mossie around the land, plus personal meet-and-greets with Anna and Elsa. Stay tuned to Disney Food Blog for more World of Frozen news! 18. It’s one of our favorite times of the year over at Disney California Adventure at Disneyland Resort — Lunar New Year! The Lunar New Year Festival is here! Disney California Adventure’s Lunar New Year Celebration runs from January 23rd through February 22nd, 2026. There’s so much to check out during this festival — decor, entertainment, merchandise, and more, but we can’t forget about the food! We’re live from the very first day of the festival to keep you updated on everything new, returning, and the things you can’t miss. The Lunar New Year festival in Disney California Adventure is where Disney gives a “joyous tribute to Chinese, Vietnamese, and Korean cultures.” The multicultural celebration is meant to be filled with “happy wishes for health, luck, and prosperity throughout the Year of the Horse!” Happy Lunar New Year! We started off our day by admiring the gorgeous decor outside the parks — you’ll find most of it in Disney California Adventure, but Disneyland Park is celebrating Lunar New Year as well! Lunar New Year Make sure you grab a Celebration Guide, so you can plan out everything you want to do during the festival. 20. Lunar New Year has hit Disney California Adventure! The festival runs until February 22nd, and we’re pretty excited to try all the food, see the entertainment, and buy way too much merchandise. Lucky 8 Lantern Booth There are different food booths set up around the park, and we’re heading to Lucky 8 Lantern to see what they have this year. We’re bringing you all the details right here so you can decide if it’s worth the stop. Here at Disney Food Blog, we’re pretty obsessed with all the food at Disney festivals. While the festival is short, it’s worth a stop on your trip to get some limtied time food and feel the magic of a Disneyland festival. Ready to check out the menu? Menu While the menu might be small, don’t be afraid to make a stop! Lucky 8 Lantern Menu There are two returning snacks and two brand-new beverages making the lineup this year. The booth will be available until February 22nd and is located in the Performance Corridor. Eats First up, we’re trying the Phở Dip, served with rice noodles, sliced beef, shaved jalapenos, pickled onions, and phở broth, for $9.75. The bun on this was delicious; it was fresh, crispy on the outside, and soft in the center. We really enjoyed the meat, and combined with the noodles and pickled onions, we loved the textures and flavors. Phở Dip You do get a good kick from the jalapeños. We also enjoyed the phở broth, but almost preferred it without so you could really enjoy the freshness. Phở Dip We also grabbed the Chocolate Firecracker, with light chocolate mousse, chocolate ganache filling, chocolate almond dacquoise, and popping candy, featuring DOVE Dark Chocolate, for $8. Chocolate Firecracker This treat has a smooth chocolate mousse center. Pop rocks are a fun topping that adds texture and a fun sensation. We do want to warn you that the dessert will stain your mouth red! Chocolate Firecracker Drinks We also tried the new Red Envelope Margarita made with tequila, orange juice, sweet and sour, raspberry puree, blood orange syrup, and a gold shimmer for $18.50. The gold shimmer in this drink is so pretty! The most prominent flavors were the sweet-and-sour syrup and orange juice. The tequila definitely packs a punch in this drink, too! We didn’t get much of the raspberry puree flavor. Red Envelope Margarita Also new this year, we have the Yuja-Melon Cocktail for $18 made with gin, Lillet Blanc, yuja puree, and rock melon syrup, garnished with a purple orchid. This cocktail was very fruity, with a floral, almost perfumey hint. You don’t taste the gin very much as it is overpowered by the other flavors in the drink. Yuja-Melon Cocktail Overall Our favorites at the booth were the Red Envelope Margarita and Phở Dip. However, we still enjoyed everything at this booth, and the Pop Rocks on the Chocolate Firecracker were a fun element! The Yuja-Melon Cocktail wasn’t our favorite, but if you like very fruity drinks that have a hint of floral, you might really enjoy this one. Lucky 8 Lantern Full Spread We’re trying everything at the festival, so you know what’s worth the money, so make sure you keep following Disney Food Blog for more! 21. Going to Magic Kingdom isn’t always as easy as grabbing your tickets and heading into the park these days — there are some park essentials we don’t leave home without! We often recommend water bottles, sunscreen, comfortable shoes, and more, but if you ask us — there’s one thing you won’t survive Magic Kingdom without. Cinderella Castle A portable charger is an absolute must-have if you’re planning on a full day in the park, especially if you’ll be using the My Disney Experience app or Lightning Lanes. View on Amazon This FuelRod Max10 portable charger is another must-have FuelRod MAX10 FuelRods recently got a MAJOR upgrade! While we still love the compactness and portability of the original one, the FuelRod Max10 packs an even bigger punch. Enjoy the freedom of wireless charging with the MAX10. No cables, no mess—just effortless charging for your devices, as long as they feature MagSafe charging capabilities. You can swap this one out, too! With a 10,000mAh capacity, the MAX10 provides extended power, perfect for charging phones, tablets, and other devices on the go. Plus, charge two devices at once for ultimate convenience on the go. Our only complaint with this one is that it’s a bit bulky, but we love that it can still be swapped out for a fresh one at the FuelRod kiosks! View on Amazon We also love this INIU portable charger INIU Charger This INIU portable charger is FAST! An iPhone 16 can be charged to 60% in just 25 minutes, which can be great when you’re looking for some power but don’t have all day to wait. This portable charger stands out with its unique dual USB-C ports, both for input and output. Unlike others, which only recharge via USB-C port, INIU can charge all devices with your USB-C cables directly. The only downside here is that it can’t be swapped out for other devices, and it’s a bit on the bulky side too. 22. Time is running out for a beloved Disney California Adventure dark ride. Mike and Sulley to the Rescue! Disney California is getting A LOT of new additions in the coming years — including a new Avatar Land, Avengers Campus expansion, and a new Coco ride. However, before these new offerings become available, we’ll need to say goodbye to a long-established family-friendly ride. Here’s what we know… To make way for its new Avatar-themed land (which will take the massive movie franchise to the Disneyland Resort for the first time), Disney California Adventure is making room in its already-established Hollywood Land. A good chunk of backlot area will be permanently removed — meaning we’re saying goodbye to Monsters, Inc. Mike & Sulley to the Rescue! in the process. Mike in Disney California Adventure (he doesn’t move) Disney confirmed in 2025 that the attraction will be permanently removed to make room for the land in early 2026. With winter already here, it’s a good bet that construction will begin this upcoming spring. However, aside from Disney saying the ride will close in early, nothing specific has been confirmed. Monsters, Inc. Mike & Sulley to the Rescue! As of this writing, the ride is still open and operating per usual, and a closing date has yet to be announced. Monsters, Inc. Mike & Sulley to the Rescue! Rumors of the ride closing have been persistent for years, but we can now say for certain that the ride is living on borrowed time. Since officially opening in 2026 (replacing the short-lived Superstar Limo), this family dark ride has taken passengers on a funny, taxi-cab-driven adventure that retells the plot of Pixar’s Monsters, Inc. Charming, nostalgic, and a great respite from the heat and Disney California Adventure’s more thrilling attractions, Monsters, Inc. Mike & Sulley to the Rescue! usually has consistently busy wait times and is in high demand. Monsters, Inc. Mike & Sulley to the Rescue! Losing it — for however long it takes Disney to complete the Avatar land — creates a notable gap in Disney California Adventure’s offerings. Monsters, Inc. Mike & Sulley to the Rescue! As previously mentioned, James Cameron’s Avatar will finally come to the California theme park resort. Unlike Animal Kingdom’s Pandora, this new land will be based on Avatar: The Way of Water and its sequels. ©Disney It will also feature an original, thrilling boat adventure ride — packed with fantastic visuals that offer a truly immersive experience. We’re still learning more and more about the new land and its ride, but we’ll let you know when more details are revealed. ©Disney Unfortunately, the uncertainty of Monsters, Inc. Mike & Sulley to the Rescue! affects upcoming 2026 Disneyland travel planning, especially if you’re trying to get one last ride in. Our recommendation is to make your way to the park as soon as you can and keep it posted right here at the Disney Food Blog for all the latest updates! 23. Disney food festivals are our bread and butter here at DFB, and we’re back with ANOTHA ONE! It’s time for the Lunar New Year Festival at Disney California Adventure at Disneyland Resort. Bamboo Blessings As part of our reviews for this year’s event, we stopped by Bamboo Blessings to check out the menu. Time to take a look at what’s new, what’s returning, and what’s a must-get in 2026. Let’s go! This year, California Adventure is celebrating the Year of the Horse with special festival offerings until February 22nd. That means these booths are only open for a limited time! Menu In the Performance Corridor, you’ll find Bamboo Blessings! This year, the booth is serving the new Five-Spice Popcorn Chicken, as well as the returning Strawberry Milk Tea Macaron. Bamboo Blessings Menu They also have three beverages available, two of which are new — the Guava Dragon Fruit Sparkler and the Guava Dragon Fruit Vodka Cocktail. Eats We started by snagging that Five-Spice Popcorn Chicken with sweet chili-garlic sauce for $9.50. Five-Spice Popcorn Chicken This is crunchy, peppery, moist chicken, and it’s a great vehicle to scoop that sweet chili garlic sauce into your mouth. We adore the sauce! It’s got a tiny kick with a sweetness that evens it out, so it’s a great mix for nearly everyone (unless you’re really spice-averse). We love this sauce! The Strawberry Milk Tea Macaron is made with strawberry buttercream with a milk tea center, and it’s $9. We were very pleasantly surprised here that the strawberry buttercream genuinely tasted like a genuine strawberry, not artificial. The macaron has a crisp outer shell with a soft center, and the milk tea portion in the middle has a spot-on taste with a bit of a jelly texture. The flavors all really balance each other out, so we’re big fans! Strawberry Milk Tea Macaron But what about the beverages? Drinks The Guava Dragon Fruit Sparkler for $8.50 is a non-alcoholic drink with Simply Lemonade, Topo Chico, and guava and dragon fruit syrups garnished with frozen dragon fruit. This was sweet and refreshing, even on a rainy day. The cubes of dragon fruit are beautiful and extremely tasty, but just make sure to stir them up to get all the flavors! Guava Dragon Fruit Sparkler For the alcoholic version, order the Guava Dragon Fruit Vodka Cocktail for $19. It’s made with Vodka, Simply Lemonade, Topo Chico, and guava and dragon fruit syrups, garnished with a lemon wheel. You can also grab the Brown Sugar Milk Tea for $7.75. It’s made with Joffrey’s Coffee & Tea Co. Ceylon Tea, oat milk, brown sugar, maple, and butter pecan syrups, garnished with banana milk-inspired whipped cream. Brown Sugar Milk Tea So, should you hit up Bamboo Blessings in 2026? Overall We think this is a super solid booth this year, especially if you’re looking for a mix of sweet and savory options! If you’re more sensitive to texture, though, you may want to be slightly wary of some of these items, but otherwise, we say it’s absolutely worth a try! Bamboo Blessing booth We’re trying everything at the 2026 Lunar New Year Festival in Disneyland, so be sure to follow the Disney Food Blog for more food reviews to help you decide what to get when you visit. 24. It’s officially festival time at Disney California Adventure! The 2026 Lunar New Year Festival is back until February 22nd, and now that it’s the Year of the Horse, we have new festival food to try across the park. Wrapped with Love Booth There are food booths, entertainment, character signings, and more, and here at DFB, we’re going to try them all! We’re heading to Wrapped with Love to see what you need to try when you visit. Wrapped with Love is a fun spot to check out, so let’s see what’s happening at the booth this year. Menu This booth joined during the 2023 Lunar New Year Celebration, and this year, it features a different menu than in 2025. Wrapped with Love Menu The booth will be available through February 22nd and is located in the Performance Corridor. Eats There is only one food item this year, which is the Quesabirria Eggroll with guajillo pepper consome for $9.50. The Quesabirria Eggroll In the past, this has been a fan favorite, but the 2026 version was a little disappointing. The meat wasn’t as flavorful this year, which made it a bit dull. We would love to see more flavor and more cheese if they bring this back next year! The birria sauce saved this dish, though, because it was super flavorful and helped the meat out. The egg roll wrapper was nice and crispy, and we didn’t notice much grease. Inside the egg roll We’re hoping this one gets better over the course of this year’s festival because it has been a favorite of ours in the past. We’re keeping our fingers crossed that it was just a fluke on the first day. Drinks To drink, we tried the new Cold Brew Cocktail for $19.50. It’s made with bourbon, Joffrey’s Coffee & Tea Co. Vietnamese-style Coffee, cocoa powder, and condensed milk, garnished with taro chocolate sweet cream and a chocolate wafer stick. Cold Brew Cocktail This one is for coffee lovers because that’s the main flavor here. The taro taste was in the cold foam, and it offered a sweet, earthy flavor. The cookie topper was fun and added a crunchy, chocolaty flavor. The alcohol was subtle and not too strong, which we appreciate. We would definitely make sure to stir this up before enjoying because most of the bourbon had sunk to the bottom of the drink. A look at the top. You can also grab this as the Taro Vietnamese Cold Brew $7.75, which is the non-alcoholic version of the drink above. Overall This spot offers some classic eats from this festival, but it failed to live up to past experiences. We will still go back for a drink and to give one of our favorite egg rolls a second chance! It’s a unique take on a classic snack after all. Wrapped with Love overall We’re trying all the food here at Disney Food Blog, so make sure you keep following for more of the best food reviews you need before your next visit.
