Here at Disney Food Blog, there’s only one thing we love more than Disney food – Disney drinks! Grabbing an iced refresher on a hot day is our favorite guilty pleasure. And since there’s a Starbucks in all four parks and Disney Springs, they keep our caffeine addiction going from rope drop to fireworks. Caramel Protein Latte A lot of people don’t know that the Disney Starbucks has the same customizable menu as the Starbucks in your neighborhood. Plus, Disney Parks’ Starbucks often keeps seasonal flavors like pumpkin or caramel brûlée in stock when your local Starbucks runs out (they still had pumpkin spice lattes on New Year’s Day). The sky’s the limit! When Starbucks released a new secret menu item, we had to try it at Disney World. It’s called a Cake Batter Latte, and reviews say it tastes exactly like cake batter! It can be ordered hot to warm up during the freeze, or iced to stay refreshed in the summer heat. Iced Pumpkin Cream Chai To order the cake batter latte in a Venti size (their large), ask for a Venti latte (hot or iced) with: blonde espresso shots oatmilk three pumps of hazelnut syrup three pumps of vanilla syrup (can be regular vanilla or sugar-free vanilla) three scoops of vanilla bean powder If you’re getting the iced version, ask for it stirred! The vanilla bean powder can get clumpy with ice if it’s not mixed well enough. For a grande size (their medium), it’s the same customizations but with only two pumps or scoops of each addition. Iced Apple Crisp Nondairy Cream Chai If you’re not feeling a cake batter latte, Starbucks just released some new drinks that we loved. They brought back their seasonal pistachio flavor with pistachio lattes and a new Dubai Chocolate Mocha, which is a chocolate mocha latte with a pistachio cold foam topping. We also tried the new Dubai Chocolate Matcha, which is a matcha green tea latte with pistachio sauce topped with a chocolate cold foam. Iced Dubai Chocolate Matcha And a fun fact, the cake batter latte at Disney Starbucks will be cheaper than your local Starbucks! Disney charges a flat rate for syrups, while one pump of syrup at your local Starbucks costs 80 cents each. We’re running to Disney to try the new cake batter latte! Stay tuned to Disney Food Blog for more Starbucks news. Our full Starbucks pistachio review! Join the DFB Newsletter to get all the breaking news right in your inbox! Click here to Subscribe! Although we spent a LOT of our Orlando time in Disney World, we also occasionally venture out to other Orlando-area theme parks. We’re sure you’ve seen all our coverage of Universal Orlando, especially when it comes to Epic Universe (which we’re a little obsessed with right now). But we’ve also visited SeaWorld Orlando on occasion, too, to check out special offerings there. LEGO Ninjago Weekends Well, we also love going to LEGOLAND Florida, and recently, we had an opportunity to check out LEGO Ninjago Weekends, which allowed us to tap into our inner ninja potential. So let’s see what this party is all about! LEGOLAND is celebrating 15 years of LEGO Ninjago with LEGO Ninjago Weekends, which is currently running on select dates through February 15th. If you’re visiting LEGOLAND during those dates, you’ll get to experience special activities, see special characters, enjoy special shows, and have all kinds of LEGO Ninjago fun. If you’re arriving on one of those dates, be sure to pick up the LEGO Ninjago Guide, which will give you a full rundown of everything you can see and do during your visit. Your guide One of the fun activities you can participate in is Path of the Ninja. You’ll be training your ninja skills by attending interactive shows and themed activities. Collect a sticker at each activity that you’ve completed. Path of the Ninja Once you have all of the stickers, end your day at the “Ceremony of the Ninja” to receive a prize! The prize is an exclusive LEGO Ninjago coin. SWEET prize If you love scavenger hunts, there’s also the Name That Ninja game, where you have to find eight hidden clues, then use your knowledge of LEGO Ninjago to match each clue to the correct ninja name. Name That Ninja You’ll also be able to have some special LEGO Ninjago character experiences at Heartlake Hall throughout the day. The special show, Lloyd’s Elemental Challenge, puts ninjas to the test as they demonstrate various elemental powers. The show has stunts, special effects, and sweet, sweet ninja moves. Lloyd’s Elemental Challenge Of course, there’s also the Whip Around Dance Party, because even ninjas love to get their groove on. Dance party Be sure to participate in the Ultimate Dragon Build, where you can grab some LEGO bricks and help build an epic dragon. Ultimate dragon build You can pick up a card and some bricks, which will tell you what colors you need for the little block you’ll make. That block gets added to the overall build. It’s sort of like the EPCOT Festival of the Arts Expression Section…but with LEGOS. Let’s go! End your day at the Ceremony of the Ninja, which happens in front of LEGOLAND Coffee Co. at 5:30 PM. Ceremony of the Ninja Of course, you can’t have a special event without special food. Granny’s Apple Fries is serving up Matcha Arts Apple Fries, which is Granny’s Apple Fries served with matcha soft serve ice cream, topped with toasted coconut, mini mochi, and green sprinkles for $18.29. We really couldn’t taste the matcha, so it tasted more like regular vanilla ice cream. The little pieces of matcha are fun, but they don’t add much more than a gummy texture here and there. As always, the apple fries are crispy and unique. Matcha Arts Apple Fries You can also pick up the Balanced Bao Bun at Kickin’ Chicken Co., which is two steamed bao buns filled with crispy tempura chicken coated in Japanese BBQ sauce and topped with fresh cucumbers, carrots, cilantro, chopped peanuts, and spicy mayo for $10.29. We’re sad to report that the tempura chicken tasted like it was made from frozen. The Japanese BBQ sauce is strong and offers a sweet and salty touch. The spicy mayo was cool, but also spicy, and balanced well with the other ingredients. It’s kind of small, but it’s one of the more elevated things you can get in LEGOLAND Florida. Balanced Bao Bun So if you’re looking for a little bit of fun over the next few weekends, head to LEGOLAND Florida and enjoy LEGO Ninjago Weekends. We’ll also keep an eye out for more special events at theme parks in Orlando, so stay tuned to DFB for more. NEW Space-Themed Expansion Coming to LEGOLAND Florida and California DON'T DO IT ALONE! In just a few days, Southwest Airlines is changing the way its boarding process, seating options, and ticket pricing work, and it’s time to prepare, because a lot of people may be thrown off! Southwest Airplanes For the first time ever, the airline’s open-seating, first-come, first-served policy will no longer be in existence starting on January 27th, and instead of boarding in groups A-C with a specific number, you’ll board in groups 1-8 to sit in your seat that’s part of one of three new seating tiers. While many people are upset about these changes, now that it makes the airline a lot more similar to others out there, we can’t lie — there ARE some perks to these changes! No More Guessing As much as we hate paying extra for things, one of the great parts about this change is that if someone has a tight connection, knows they need to sit in a specific type of seat due to a medical issue/concern, or otherwise knows exactly where they’d like to sit on the plane, they can now choose that exact seat. ©Southwest Yes, it will cost extra, which stinks, but for those who really care about where they sit, they now have the option to book it ahead of time and have that peace of mind. Previously, you’d have to hope you checked in with enough time to be one of the early numbers in Groups A or B to get a good seat, and even then, it wasn’t guaranteed. This now allows the option for people to choose their seat if they’d like, but if you don’t care about where you sit, you can still choose Basic and have a seat assigned for you! Tall People Can Have A Bit More Space While many people wish that airline seats had more space, that’s especially true for tall people who find their legs literally pressed up against the seat in front of them. If this is you, while it’ll cost you more, having the option to book a seat with more legroom may very much be worth the cost. ©Southwest This is especially true for longer flights — while five inches of legroom may not seem like a lot, for some people, it may make a massive difference! As a bonus, you’ll be seated in an exit row or at the front of the plane, get earlier access to bin space, get to dine on enhanced snacks, and even enjoy complimentary premium drinks. Rapid Rewards Can Really Help You Out Being a Rapid Rewards member now comes with additional perks, especially when it comes to choosing when you’d like to board. Depending on your point status or if you’re a cardmember, you may not have to spend any additional money on your seating choice or boarding time either. Starting with the changes on January 27th, if you’re a Rapid Rewards member or a Rapid Rewards Credit Cardmember, your status will affect your boarding in the following ways: A-List Preferred: Group 1-2 A-List: Group 1-5 Basic and Choice fares: Group 5 ©Southwest We know these changes may not be the best for everyone, and some people are still upset about them (and we totally get it!), but we can see how some travelers are looking forward to these adjustments beginning in a few days. The Disney Skyliner closes today! This is one of our favorite modes of transportation, a skyway gondola that connects Disney World’s EPCOT, Hollywood Studios, and resorts. It’s closing this week for routine maintenance. Skyliner The Disney Skyliner will be closed from January 25th to January 31st. Disney will provide alternate transportation for guests, notably complimentary buses, but there are even more transportation methods you can take. Here’s how to get around in the meantime! Hotels along the Disney Skyliner will not be able to use the gondolas while they’re closed. The following resorts are impacted: Disney’s Art of Animation Resort Disney’s Pop Century Resort Disney’s Caribbean Beach Resort Disney’s Riviera Resort These resorts will all have complimentary bus transportation offered for guests going to EPCOT or Hollywood Studios instead. They’ll be at the same bus stop that picks you up for Magic Kingdom or Animal Kingdom. We recommend leaving for a Disney bus about an hour before you want to be at the park — they run every 30 minutes, but can sometimes be delayed for traffic or hit capacity during more crowded times like rope drop. Disney World Skyliner If you’re looking to park-hop from EPCOT to Hollywood Studios, or vice-versa, there are still 3 transportation options available. The most popular are the Disney buses with pickup at the front of each park. If you’re in the World Showcase and don’t want to walk that far, our Disney transportation hack has you covered. EPCOT Bus Stop One of the easiest ways to park-hop is by taking the Friendship Boat. The docks are located in the International Gateway of EPCOT and the main entrance of Hollywood Studios. They run about every 20 minutes and connect the two parks with Swan & Dolphin, Yacht & Beach Club, and the BoardWalk resorts. Take a relaxing ride around Crescent Lake to park-hop in style! Friendship Boat Dock Hollywood Studios If you want to get your steps in, Disney has a walking path that connects Hollywood Studios and EPCOT. This typically takes around 30 to 45 minutes, depending on your walking speed, but it is a popular spot for runners staying on Disney property to get moving. The path takes you through the BoardWalk resort, where you can grab a soda or a meal at their quick-service options along the gorgeous Crescent Lake. BoardWalk Inn To take the walking path from Hollywood Studios, head to the bus stop station and turn at the bathrooms next to the Skyliner station, then follow the path along the water. To take the walking path from EPCOT, head down the International Gateway exit towards resorts, then cross the bridge and head towards the BoardWalk. Hollywood Studios Bus Stop If it’s not hot out, it’s a great way to explore Disney on foot. Keep in mind that there is a big hill you need to go over, so if you’re pushing strollers or wheelchairs, you might want to opt for the boats. International Gateway Friendship Boat Reminder, the Disney Skyliner will be closed today until January 31st. But in the meantime, you can get around with Disney buses, boats, or walking paths. As much as it pains us, Animal Kingdom will be without one of our favorite lands in just a short 7 days. DINOSAUR It’s true — while the day originally felt far away (and yet, far too close at the same time), DinoLand U.S.A. in Animal Kingdom is permanently closing in just one week. Yes, something new is coming in its place that we’re looking forward to, but we’re ALSO wondering how many times we can ride DINOSAUR in one week. Back in September 2025, Disney announced that February 1st would be the very last day to experience the remaining parts of DinoLand U.S.A. This includes The Dino Institute Shop, Restaurantosaurus, Restaurantosaurus Lounge, and DINOSAUR, as the other parts of the land are already under construction. By February 2nd, the entire land will be closed for good. DINOSAUR In case you missed it, the rest of the land is already under construction to become Animal Kingdom’s new Tropical Americas, Pueblo Esperanza land, which will include three rides — one inspired by Encanto (located where DinoRama used to be), the DINOSAUR ride area will become a ride themed to Indiana Jones, and a carousel will be added around where The Boneyard used to be. ©Disney || Tropical Americas Land coming to Animal Kingdom The land itself will feature classic Spanish-style architecture, including a large hacienda that will become one of the largest quick-service restaurants in Disney World (most likely taking the place of Restaurantosaurus). The rich, lush color and biodiversity of the Tropical Rainforest will be highlighted everywhere throughout the land, and at the center will be a large fountain where stories will be told by gathering villagers (hooray for more live entertainment!). Imagineers have been taking inspiration from some of the most biodiverse areas in the world, such as the northern part of South America and areas of Central America. Model of Madrigal’s Casita We’re really looking forward to seeing what this new land will look like when complete, and can’t wait to experience all it has to offer, but we WILL really miss DinoLand, seeing as it’s been around since Animal Kingdom’s opening in 1998. Let it go! Let it go! Can’t hold it back anymore…and neither can Disney because Frozen Ever After is closing down for a huge refurbishment. ©Disney Frozen Ever After Hong Kong Disneyland Frozen Ever After is one of my favorite rides in all of EPCOT ever since it opened in 2016 (rest in peace Maelstrom), and I don’t care that it’s almost always busy — I can’t go to EPCOT and not ride it! I’m okay with skipping this ride for a bit because the updates are SO worth the closure. Frozen Ever After will close on January 26th and will reopen sometime in February with updates to the Anna, Elsa, and Kristoff Audio-Animatronics. Everyone, say goodbye to the projected faces because we’re getting new animatronic faces that look more like the movies. Frozen Ever After Right now, the faces are projected onto a blank space on the animatronic that you can see here: Frozen Ever After animatronics (EPCOT) After the update, they’re going to look like this! They look incredible! Hong Kong Disneyland Animatronics If you’re coming to Disney World with a Frozen lover, you can still meet Anna and Elsa at Royal Sommerhus wihch is next to the Frozen attraction in the Norway Pavilion. You’ll meet the sisters separately, but it’s all in the same line, so you can meet them back-to-back. Hello, Elsa! It’s also a great time to enjoy the EPCOT Festival of the Arts, which ends on February 23rd. This festival is sure to be kid-friendly, with chances to join in on an animation drawing class in the American Adventure Pavilion, draw pictures with chalk, and join in on a massive paint-by-number project. Kids Chalk Area There are also tons of different kinds of food that are bright and colorful, and some even have flavors that the whole family will love. One dessert we think kids will go wild over is the Liquid Nitrogen Minnie Cake Pop with cotton candy sponge cake, white chocolate ganache, and colorful chocolate splats. It was light and not too sugary with fun Pop Rocks, too! Liquid Nitrogen Minnie Cake Pop While we’re sad about the closure of Frozen Ever After, we’re so excited for the future that we’ll just count down the days until we can see our favorite Frozen friends in a new light (that’s not a projector light). Make sure you keep following Disney Food Blog for everything you need to know for your next Disney World vacation. 8 GAME-CHANGING DISNEY WORLD ANNOUNCEMENTS FOR SUMMER 2026 Join the DFB Newsletter to get all the breaking news right in your inbox! Walt Disney World offers a litany of dining options across the property’s theme parks, resort hotels, and the Disney Springs shopping district. While the wide variety of options is welcome, it can sometimes be overwhelming for first-time visitors. Fancy For example, if one wanted to have a “fancy” meal in a relatively upscale setting at Walt Disney World without breaking the bank at one of the resort’s (comparatively) priciest restaurants? Well, luckily, that’s where we come in! Ale & Compass Located at the Yacht Club Resort, this hidden gem is a great value. Ale & Compass focuses on New England comfort food, offering breakfast, lunch, and dinner in a cozy, Cape Cod-meets-gastropub environment. Seating Breakfast entrees run from about $16 to $21 each, OR you can do the Continental Enhancement options, where you can choose an entree PLUS get additional Continental offerings off the buffet, plus your non-alcoholic beverage is ALSO included in that price point. The continental option costs $28 for adults (just a few dollars more than the à la carte entree option)! So many choices at Ale and Compass breakast! Lunch and dinner may not offer up a continental enhancement option like breakfast does, but you can still get salads, flatbreads, and main plates for $13-$25 during lunch, while plates during dinner get a little more pricey, but still don’t tend to break the $40 threshold. (Just to give you a point of reference, if you walk inside EPCOT and order an entree from the Regal Eagle Smokehouse QUICK SERVICE, prices are gonna be almost the SAME as Ale and Compass’ lunch options, ranging between $13-$19.) Appetizers Steakhouse 71 Steakhouse 71 — named for the year Walt Disney World opened — is located at the Contemporary Resort. While the idea of a steak dinner at Disney World may send dollar signs spinning through your mind, Steakhouse 71 is (again, comparatively) budget-friendly, offering up steakhouse cuts around dinner time that don’t break the $50 threshold. Steakhouse 71 Burger But don’t think that these “cheaper” steaks are also “cheaper” quality. The cuts we’ve gotten here in the past tend to be moist, juicy, and VERY flavorful. Even Steakhouse 71’s prime rib (a meat that can be rather chewy, depending on where you order it) has been so buttery and tender for us — and we’d gladly order it again. Prime Rib at Steakhouse 71 Just to show you a quick price comparison — the 12 oz Roasted Prime Rib at Steakhouse 71 is $39, while the 14 oz Roasted Prime Rib at Yachtsman Steakhouse is $60. (Yes, you get more prime rib for the price you pay at Yachtsman’s — but, considering those are the only prime rib sizes available, you don’t really have the option to pay for less if you’re looking for a cheaper price point.) Then there’s the BEST part about ordering a steak here: the SAUCE FLIGHT. Many specialty steakhouse sauces from the other steakhouses onsite will automatically charge you for each of your steak sauce accompaniments (that go beyond the typical A1). Meanwhile, the first sauce you receive at Steakhouse 71 will be on the house, and all your other sauces after that will cost extra; however, you can get a WHOLE Steakhouse 71 sauce flight — with EVERY SINGLE Steakhouse 71 sauce available — for only $6. The Steak Frites from Steakhouse 71! STK Orlando (For Happy Hour) Located in Disney Springs, STK brings a modern twist to the traditional steakhouse — including elements like “sleek ambient lighting, a DJ in the main dining room, an indoor fire pit lounge, and a stunning rooftop terrace — combined with a menu that offers steaks, sandwiches, chicken, and fish. Jalapeño Pickled Shrimp Cocktail However, the key time for budget-conscious visits is during Happy Hour. Offered at the following times: Monday through Friday – 2:30 PM to 6:30 PM Saturday and Sunday – 2:30 PM to 5:30 PM Sunday through Thursday- 10:00pm – Close (Available In The Bar, Lounge, & Patio Only) Happy Hour at STK features specialty cocktails, select wines, and food for $3, $6, and $9. Happy Hour menu $3 Happy Hour food options include Oyster on The Half Shell, Tater Tots, and Crab & Corn Fritters, $6 options include Lil’ Brg & Truffle Fries, Wagyu Meatballs, Short Rib Quesadilla, Pastrami Salmon Cones, and Mushroom Arancini, and $9 options include Japanese A5 Wagyu Taco, Jalapeño Pickled Shrimp Cocktail, Beef Tartare, Tuna Tartare Taco, Popcorn Chicken, Crispy Calamari, STK & Frites, and the STK Cheeseburger. ONLY 3 DOLLARS?! $6 beverage options include Modelo Especial or Modelo Negra, while $9 options include Happy Hour Cocktails and Chimay Bottle. STK Steakhouse Summer House on the Lake (For Martini Hour) Located at Disney Springs, Summer House offers an environment reminiscent of a beach house, complete with “charming coastal ambiance” as well as outdoor patios. Summer House on the Lake From 3:00 PM to 6:00 PM on Monday-Friday, Summer House on the Lake offers a Martini Hour promotion. There are three specialty martinis — the Classic, an Espresso Martini, and a Finn Collins — each available for $10. Classic Martini (which we decided to get dirty instead of dry) Beyond martinis, there’s also a great deal on Red, White, and Rosé wine (around $5 a glass), as well as a rotating beer discount (which is $4 per glass)! You think the drink deals are good? Just WAIT until I tell ya about the Martini Hour FOOD deals! The Bottomless Truffle Fries, for instance, are $10 – but they’re BOTTOMLESS (meaning you can fill up on them again and again without having to pay another $10 each time you need a refill). And the Lobby Cut Tavern Style Pizza here is $12 during happy hour! $12, folks! Lobby Cut Tavern Style Pizza Morimoto Asia A final Disney Springs stop, Morimoto Asia offers a HUGE menu for lunch and dinner. Lounge Now, the truth is that many of those options are pricey, but many others are relatively affordable. For example, you’ve got items like: Sushi Rolls (that range from $12-$19 per roll) Small plates and dim sum (that cost $10-$18 per item) Morimoto Spare Ribs (3 count) for $18 (And you can get an even CHEAPER version of that from the Morimoto Asia Street Food window outside of the restaurant – for $15) And noodles and rice bowls (for $20-$36) Morimoto Spare Ribs But hold on… that’s just the BEGINNING: On the weekends, Morimoto Asia has a specialty weekend brunch option with MORE small plates and dim sum options and fairly reasonable price points. You can find these options on Saturdays and Sundays, starting at noon. AND if you’re using the Disney Dining Plan, dinner at Morimoto Asia is USUALLY a 2 table service credit affair… but during lunch, it drops down to a 1 table service cost – meaning you COULD stretch your DDP dollar MORE at Morimoto, just by dining here EARLIER on in the day. Universal Orlando’s Epic Universe has been open for almost a year, but the new theme park still manages to wow us. Perhaps one of our favorite portals in Epic Universe has been Dark Universe because we love the dark and old-school Universal monsters theming. The Burning Blade Tavern That means we’ll pay a visit to Burning Blade Tavern (which lives up to its name) every chance we get for a drink, and maybe a bite to eat. However, if you pop into Burning Blade Tavern soon, you may be able to get your hands on a new souvenir there. Okay, so technically this isn’t necessarily a NEW souvenir because Burning Blade had it back in October, but they ran out really fast because everyone wanted to get their hands on it. Well, if you’ve been looking for the Burning Blade Souvenir Glass, it’s now back in stock and comes with beer for $17.99. Your beer choices for the glass are Reaper’s Reserve, Crooked Can High Stepper IPA, Modelo Especial, Bud Light, Crooked Can Seasonal, Strongbow Gold Apple Cider, and Duvel 6.6%. Souvenir glass We will warn you that it’s not REALLY glass, but a hard plastic, so if you drop it, it’s less likely to break. However, this glass can also save you some money. If you bring the glass back to get more beer, you can get $5 off that beer. Nice, right? So it’s a useful souvenir you can use over and over. Inside the Burning Blade Tavern If you’re looking to grab the glass, we recommend making a trip over there quickly because these sold out fast the first time around. We’ll also keep an eye out for more special Epic Universe souvenirs, so stay tuned to DFB for more. The summer of 2026 is shaping up to be a BIG one at Disney World. While most of the resort’s major projects — like Piston Peak, Villains Land, Monsters, Inc. The Coca-Cola Rooftop Beverage Bar at Disney Springs just released some new drinks, and we had to try them! The bar is known for its fun mocktails and cocktails using both classic Coca-Cola flavors and exotic flavors from around the world. Coca-Cola Bar Flight The Coca-Cola Bar just released a Combo Tray with 14 drinks and eight ice cream floats. You can get both together for $27, or you can get them individually. We were surprised that these had some current and returning flavors from Club Cool at EPCOT! Here’s our full review. The Around the World Tray is $17 for 14 drinks from different countries. Here’s our full review: Stoney Tangawizi from Tanzania — This is an intensely strong ginger beer that has a slightly sweet and sour flavor. It tasted like we were drinking a ginger chew, which we enjoyed! Mazoe Blackberry from Zimbabwe — This is a fruity and sweet blackberry still beverage. It tasted more like a fruit juice than a soda, but it was still good! Del Valle Jamaica & Nada from Mexico — This is a sparkling mineral water with a tart hibiscus flavoring. It tasted like cough medicine to us and was our least favorite. Coca Cola Bar’s Around the World Tray Frestea Green Tea Honey from Indonesia — This is a green tea concentrate with real honey. It’s described as floral and sweet, but it tasted very medicinal as well. Fanta Kolita from Costa Rica — This is a sweet, red soda with bubblegum, vanilla, and floral strawberry flavors. It was very sweet, as if we were drinking a melted fruity popsicle, although it tasted a bit watered down and wasn’t as strong a flavor as the other drinks. Fanta Strawberry from Panama — It’s a sweet and creamy strawberry soda similar to America’s strawberry Fanta, but with a sweet, fruity taste. One of our favorite flavors! Beverly from Italy — This is the same exact bitter apéritif found in EPCOT’s Club Cool. We’re not a fan, but it’s worth trying once! Del Valle Jamica & Nada from Mexico Sparletta Sparberry from Zimbabwe — This is a raspberry cream soda. It tasted like a strawberry sparkling water and was very refreshing! This is another former Club Cool offering that was removed in 2019. Sprite Cucumber from Romania — This tasted like carbonated cucumber water; it was light and refreshing with a strong taste. It’s also another current Club Cool offering! Aquarius Libre from Spain — This is a popular zero-sugar sports drink in Spain. It tasted like lemon water; It was very basic compared to other offerings, but still tasty and refreshing. Fanta Melon Frosty from Thailand — This had a fun and refreshing melon flavor with lots of carbonation. This was on the Club Cool menu before it was changed in 202,1 and we’re so glad it’s back! Another favorite of ours. Fanta Melon Coca Cola Bar Flight Fuse Tea Ice Tea Berries from Georgia — This is black tea with forest flavors and a hint of hibiscus. It tasted like an unsweetened tea with a strong berry flavor. It was fruity but not too sweet, which we loved! Inca Kola from Peru — This is a Lemon Verbena flavored soda, but it tasted like liquid sugar – think bubblegum as a soda. It was surprisingly good, but not at all what we were expecting. This was another Club Cool offering that was removed in 2019. Fanta Sour Plum from China — This is a tart, plum-flavored soda, but all we tasted was barbecue sauce, and it left a horrible aftertaste. This is also a current Club Cool offering with mixed reviews. Sour Plum soda from China The Float Tray is $16 with eight American soda flavors topped with vanilla ice cream. It’s a scoop of vanilla ice cream out of the gallon, so they were all very creamy and more vanilla-forward than a soft serve at other Disney locations. Coca Cola Float — It’s crispy Coca Cola topped with vanilla ice cream. You can’t go wrong with it! Sprite Float — This tasted like whipped cream with a hint of lemon. The Sprite flavor was present but very muted. It worked, but it wasn’t what we were expecting. Screenshot Fanta Grape Float — We did not enjoy this one. The Fanta Grape soda tasted like a medicinal, cough-syrup grape flavor that we weren’t a fan of. Coca-Cola Cherry Float — This is a cherry version of the Coke float! It had a very fruity and strong cherry flavor. It was very refreshing and one of our favorites! Pibb Extra Float — This is made with Pibb Extra, which is a version of Pibb soda that’s more caffeinated with a stronger cherry flavor. It had a slight hint of cherry, but it wasn’t as strong as the Cherry Coke float. This one was still enjoyable despite its weaker cherry flavor. Grape Soda float Barq’s Rootbeer Float — This is a timeless classic! It was very rich and creamy, and we drank all of this in one sitting. Barq’s Red Crème Float — This is a cherry vanilla soda and was one of our favorites! It was surprisingly sweet with a crème soda flavor. Fanta Orange Float — This is Fanta Orange soda with ice cream, so it tasted like an orange creamsicle. This was citrusy, sweet, and creamy – our favorite of the soda floats! Barq’s Red Creme Float While the sodas were very hit or miss, we enjoyed all of the ice cream floats. Find them at the Coca-Cola Bar on the rooftop of the Coca-Cola Store at Disney Springs. Disney Springs is home to NUMEROUS of our favorite dining spots in all of Disney World, and The Polite Pig is normally one of them. Time for a feast! We’ll admit that when we’re in the mood for barbecue, this is often one of the very first spots we think of, but sometimes it doesn’t always impress us. We’ve had a few items here that have fallen flat, but what about one of the BIGGEST offerings they have, the Butcher Board? We tried it out recently to tell you about it in FULL detail so you can know if it’s worth a stop on your next trip! For $46, you can snag the Butcher Board (For 2) over at The Polite Pig, which comes with Pork Shoulder, Smoked Chicken, Brisket, and BBQ Cheddar Sausage with Slaw, House Pickles, two Cornbreads, and a choice of two Market Sides. You can also add Ribs for $7 or Smoked Turkey for $5. Butcher Board Before we even dive in, we have to tell you that you’ll 100% want to grab sauces to eat with the meat, as lots of it was on the drier side. Starting out with the Pork, we have to say that this was fairly moist (although definitely recommend some sauce!), and it had a great smoky flavor to it. We enjoyed the varying textures, as it was soft in some parts and then crispy portions from the outside. Pork The Sausage has a bit of spice to it, so beware of that! You can feel the burn on your tongue, and the spice does build as you continue to chew, so make sure you’ve got some water nearby. It has a great snap to the shell, and the inside is soft and juicy, so this was a win in our book. Sausage Unfortunately, our Brisket wasn’t the best. It was fairly fatty, but also on the drier and chewier side. It had a good smokiness to it, but you will definitely want some sauce for this to help with that chew. Brisket The final meat on the platter for us was the Smoked Chicken, which was extra juicy and had a bit of a kick to it (but not over the top) due to being well seasoned. It was a bit difficult to cut since it’s bone-in, but worth the work. Smoked Chicken We wish we had enjoyed the Cornbread more, but it was pretty dry. They did have a good amount of cornmeal flavor, and are on the sweeter side, but we just found them hard to chew and swallow, being as dry as they were. Cornbread Our Corn on the Cob was pretty solid! The corn kernels were tender and sweet, and we really enjoyed the chipotle aioli and crisp breadcrumbs it was topped with. The aioli is creamy and has a small kick, but again, it’s nothing too wild. Corn on the Cob Our Coleslaw had a nice crunch to it, thanks to the vegetables being fresh, and it has a creamy, thin dressing on it that’s a bit on the vinegary side. If you like sweeter coleslaws, this may not be your thing, but we enjoyed it! Coleslaw Finally, we have the Sweet Potato Tots, which may have been our favorite thing on the plate! They had plenty of sweet potato flavor and were fairly crispy on the outside and very soft and moist on the inside. It’s topped with Parmesan cheese that adds a bit of savoriness and nuttiness, and while there’s parsley on top as well, you don’t taste it much. Some of them were more soggy, just like sweet potato fries often are, but we were still big fans! Sweet Potato Tots Overall, we think this is a solid meal for more than one person as long as you grab those sauces, but did it completely blow our socks off? Not necessarily, which makes us a little sad, so if you’re looking for a meal that really won’t let you down and you’ll leave raving about, this may not be the best choice. We still love The Polite Pig, don’t get us wrong, but some items are more solid than others! And hey, if you’re always looking for opportunities to use more dipping sauces like we are, you’ll love the chance to try a bunch of different sauces with different proteins. Believe it or not, when we head into Disney Springs, sometimes we have a hard time figuring out where we’d like to eat. Big Roman Pizza! There are just so many options! However, if you’re like me, sometimes you want something that’s going to appease a picky palate, be a great deal, and you’ll want to head over to Pizza Ponte. This spot goes unnoticed by SO many, and it’s time to change that, because you can pay only $8 for a truly MASSIVE slice of pizza, and we’re pretty obsessed with that. Pizza Ponte is located in the Landing section of Disney Springs. It’s a quick service location that’s usually open from 11 AM to 11:30 PM. While most meal options are $14.99 and above, if you want a lighter meal or are snacking around Disney Springs, you can snag the Big Roman slice for just $8. This is made with Tomato sauce and mozzarella cheese, so yes, it’s just a normal slice of cheese pizza! Look how MASSIVE! You’ll need two plates and a tray just to carry it — that’s how big it is! This is a solid thin-crust pizza, and if you want a little extra flavor, there is a Pepperoni version available for just $0.50 extra (making it $8.50). This was slightly greasy but very fresh-tasting. It wasn’t burnt or overly doughy, which we really appreciated. It doesn’t have as much sauce as others do, so if you’re someone who prefers a LOT of sauce on their pizza, this may not be for you. Look how hard it is to hold it! We didn’t get a cheese pull from this slice, but it still tasted very fresh, and it pairs wonderfully with the airy, crispy crust. This is a great choice to share with friends if you’re all just a bit hungry and want something more on the savory side, but don’t want to adventure too far out into trying something new, this is a great choice. Or, you can split it between a few younger kiddos, and it’ll be a meal for all of them! Pizza Ponte Looking for more recent reviews? Check out our posts below! More Recent Reviews! It’s no secret that we LOVE a good Walt Disney World snack, especially at Disney Springs. Recently, we to a sojourn to the park’s Italy Pavilion to sample a brand new sweet treat: A literal (in name) Love Potion. The Love Potion Was this snack good enough to have us fall under its spell, or did we leave proclaiming “Love Stinks!”? Let’s find out… Available at Vivoli il Gelato – the family-owned Disney Springs outpost of one of the oldest gelaterías in Florence, Italy, Vivoli’s, which has been scooping out homemade ice cream since 1930 – the $13.00 Love Potion is a milkshake-style drink that contains vanilla gelato, Strawberry Fanta, whipped cream, and sprinkles. We found the Love Potion to be a perfectly acceptable Valentine’s Day treat, but not much more than that. From a flavor standpoint, it wasn’t really that strong, which was slightly surprising. Honestly, the list of ingredients – Strawberry Fanta, whipped cream, sprinkles, and gelato – initially made us think the drink might be too sweet, but in the end, the opposite was true, and we found ourselves wishing it was a bit sweeter! Whipped cream and sprinkles As far as consistency goes, the Love Potion was similar to a traditional root beer float, but with the Fanta in place of the root beer. Look at that color Aesthetically, the drink definitely hit a home run as far as being a Valentine’s treat, thanks to its red color and the cup it was served in. Love Potion Overall, the Love Potion was a solid, if somewhat middle-of-the-road treat. We wouldn’t say we regret trying it, but we wouldn’t go out of our way to have it again. When you need a treat you know even the pickiest eaters will enjoy, this can be a welcomed sanctuary. Stay tuned to DFB for more reviews of Disney World’s newest snacks. 4 Game-Changing Updates Coming to Disney Springs in 2026 Join the DFB Newsletter to get all the breaking news right in your inbox! I am obsessed with Disneyland and Disney World history, as well as learning more about how Disney Imagineers create rides. There’s just so much thought and effort that goes into creating an attraction, and I find it absolutely fascinating. Mickey and Minnie’s Runaway Railway If you’re like me, and your favorite Disney+ shows are Behind The Attraction and The Imagineering Story, well, I’ve got some news for you…Disney Imagineering just dropped a new video with NEW behind-the-scenes details about Mickey & Minnie’s Runaway Railway. Mickey & Minnie’s Runaway Railway opened in 2020 in Disney World and later in Disneyland’s Toon Town in 2023. The ride is a dark ride on a trackless system and was the first EVER Mickey Mouse-themed ride in a Disney theme Park (can you believe that?). Nothing can stop us now… Disney Imagineers recently made a video where they walk through the ride at Disney’s Hollywood Studios and point out some cool little details you may have never noticed. For starters, did you know that Mickey & Minnie’s Runaway Railway has MORE hidden Mickeys than any other attraction in Disney World? You’ll see these hidden Mickeys in light fixtures, the chandelier, and more. You’ll have to look for them all the next time you ride. ©Disney Disney Imagineers also created something for this ride that they had never made before. The pre-show involves a cool illusion where you’re watching a screen and then that screen kinda’ busts through and invites you to step into it. The version of the ride in Hollywood Studios has two theaters for guests to step into for the pre-show, but one of those theaters actually served as the prototype for testing out that effect. It’s not just an effect, though. The screen really does tear apart! ©Disney So there’s also some smoke that comes out during the pre-show, but there aren’t any indicators of where the smoke is coming from. Disney sneakily has the smoke coming from behind the “To Trains” sign…the sign moves so the smoke can come out, and then the sign moves back into position, right, you see it. Say what? ©Disney Imagineers also gave up some secrets on how they created scenes by using the first scene on the ride as an example. This ride was the first time that Imagineers combined projection with UV prints and UV paint. In that first scene, Imagineers figured out what daytime would look like in blacklight, which is certainly a very different way of using blacklight than we’d seen before. ©Disney The Imagineers worked from 2D concept art and then created flats for the elements closest to the ride, while things that are further away are projected. Then they used special techniques with color to make it all look seamless. ©Disney So, have you ever noticed the crab that shows up in every scene in Mickey & Minnie’s Runaway Railway? Well, you need to look for it, because it’s there! Her name is Crustacea, and she was one of the Imagineers’ “little pets” during the design of the tropical scene. They fell in love with her, so now, she’s in EVERY scene. ©Disney The big factory scene incorporates pretty much all the tricks that Disney has used throughout the ride, except that it also uses projections onto moving parts. Factory scene The video also goes into some challenges that Imagineers face when they were creating the ride. This one is worth a watch if you love Mickey & Minnie’s Runaway Railway as much as we do. There’s a lot of detail about how they had to adjust things to make everything look JUST RIGHT. So the next time you ride Mickey & Minnie’s Runaway Railway, be sure to look out for those hidden Mickeys, Crustacea, and all the details that you probably never even notice when you’re on the ride. You’re sure to appreciate it in an entirely new way. We’ll keep an eye out for more fun things like this from Disney Imagineering, so stay tuned to DFB for more. 4 Secrets Imagineers Hid in Disney World Rides Join the DFB Newsletter to get all the breaking news right in your inbox! If you were planning on spending a relaxing day by the pool at Disney World, you need to know about another Disney World hotel pool closure that is starting this week! It is a popular time for Disney to temporarily close pools for maintenance, as cooler weather in Florida makes them less in demand. With this week’s newest pool closure, there are now 5 Disney World hotel pools closed. Bay Lake Tower at the Contemporary Resort We are here to make sure you always know what is happening at Disney World. We have all the details on this week’s closures, so you won’t be caught by surprise. We are rounding up ALL the closures in Disney World this week, so let’s get started! Disney’s Animal Kingdom Harambe Market — Disney’s Animal Kingdom Harambe Market, a quick-service dining location in Animal Kingdom, has temporarily closed as of October 20th, 2025. It will be closed for a few months, and it is currently expected to reopen in early 2026. Right now, hours are showing on the Disney World website starting March 1st, so it is likely to reopen then. While we are sad to see the dining options decrease in Animal Kingdom, there are still lots of delicious options! Harambe Market You can stop by Flame Tree Barbecue or Satu’li Canteen for a tasty, quick-service meal. We aren’t expecting huge changes at Harambe Market during the refurbishment, but we will keep you updated as we learn more! TriceraTop Spin, Chester & Hester’s Dinosaur Treasures, Fossil Fun Games, The Boneyard, Dino Bite Snacks, and Trilo-Bites The first round of closures began in DinoLand U.S.A. on January 13th, 2025. Construction It is definitely a sad sight, but we are also excited to see Pueblo Esperanza! Mama Melrose’s Ristorante Italiano has been closed since May 11th. Recently, the Muppet*Vision 3D sign was officially taken down! Farewell Muppet*Vision Sign Don’t worry, the Muppets won’t be missing from Disney’s Hollywood Studios forever. The Muppets will eventually be taking over Rock ‘n’ Roller Coaster in summer 2026. This Disney’s Hollywood Studios Construction Update Is Making Us NERVOUS EPCOT Frozen Ever After and The Fjording Frozen Ever After and The Fjording, which is the gift shop at the exit of the attraction, will be closing temporarily beginning January 26th. The attraction will be closing for a refurbishment that includes updating the Anna, Elsa, and Kristoff audio-animatronic figures. It is expected to reopen in February 2026, although Disney has not announced an exact date yet. But, we will keep you updated as we learn more! Refreshment Port Refreshment Port located near the Canada Pavilion in EPCOT’s World Showcase is temporarily closed for refurbishment as of January 12th. Not so great news if you were hoping to snag a specialty poutine during the EPCOT International Festival of the Arts. The Refreshment Port is closed However, there will still be plenty of yummy snacks to grab! Disney hasn’t yet announced what will be done at Refreshment Port or when the stand will reopen. However, we will keep an eye and ear out for progress and keep you updated. REVIEW: Here We Have an EPCOT Festival of the Arts Booth That’s Simple Perfection Disney Springs Lime Garage The Lime Garage at Disney Springs is closed for refurbishment from January 12th through March 13th, 2026. There will be a small break in the project for President’s Day Weekend, with the garage reopening from February 11th through February 17th. However, after the busy holiday weekend, the garage will be closed again. Disney Springs Lime Garage There are still plenty of options for parking at Disney Springs, but if you are headed there during a busy time, you might want to give yourself a bit of extra time to find parking. Guests will be able to park at Orange Garage, Grapefruit Garage, Strawberry Parking Lot, and Watermelon Parking Lot during the closure. 4 Game-Changing Updates Coming to Disney Springs in 2026 Disney World Skyliner Beginning January 25th, the Disney World Skyliner will be closing temporarily for refurbishment. It is expected to be closed through January 31st, 2026. During the closure, complimentary bus transportation will be provided to guests, so you will still be able to get wherever you are headed! Disney Skyliner However, we recommend giving yourself a bit of extra time to navigate the bus system and reach your destination! We don’t want you to be late to a dining reservation or Lightning Lane window. The One Rule We Wish Disney World Transportation Would Finally Slash Blizzard Beach Blizzard Beach has been closed since September 8th, 2025! While it has been wonderful having BOTH Blizzard Beach and Typhoon Lagoon open at the same time this summer (which was the first time this has happened in YEARS), that has now come to an end. Blizzard Beach is now closed for refurbishment. Blizzard Beach Have no fear, though, if you are looking for somewhere to cool off and enjoy some fun in the water, Typhoon Lagoon will still be open! Keep an eye on the weather, as Typhoon Lagoon will close when temperatures drop. Beginning February 15th, 2026, Blizzard Beach will be reopening, and Typhoon Lagoon will close for refurbishment. Hotel rooms try really hard to be our “home away from home” when we’re on vacation, but sometimes they’re just lacking things we need. For example, we often travel with a noise machine because we’re not used to the noises (or lack thereof) that we hear in our Disney World hotel room. Charging Station We also know that there can often be an issue with finding enough outlets and ports to plug all our devices in. When you need to charge your iPhone, Apple watch, and Airpods all at the same time, you might have trouble doing that. Well, we found a solution on Amazon, and we wished we’d found it a LOT sooner. Get the 3-in-1 Charging Station for Multiple Apple Devices Yes, you can get a charging station that will charge three Apple devices at the same time. Which means you only need to plug the charging station in because it will wirelessly charge all three. If you’ve got all of these Apple products, this will be a game-changer for you at your Disney World hotel, but also at home, too. Charging Station One thing we also like is that the charging station folds up to make it easy to pack and carry. The center puck folds up to hold your watch on a stand with a display that tells the time. There’s also a blue indicator light that comes on when it detects a device so you know it’s aligned properly on the puck. Charging Station What we really love is the price, though! This is a BARGAIN for what it does, but it’s well-made and hasn’t failed us yet. It doesn’t take up much space, and we even learned that you can charge an iPad on it! How’s that for convenient? This little baby ticks off all the “musts” we need in such a device, and we just had to share our find with you.
