From the treats you can find at the Gingerbread House to the holiday options at Gasparilla, there’s so much to choose from. Why, it almost looks like he’s wearing a holiday sweater…we’d talk to him at a Christmas party, for sure! Peppermint White Chocolate Eclair Just look at that gorgeous pâte à choux pastry sliced down the middle and topped with a peppermint mousse filling! The top “bun” is dunked in milk chocolate, then drizzled with white chocolate and hit with little red and green sprinkles! Peppermint White Chocolate Eclair When we sliced into the Peppermint White Chocolate Eclair, two things happened! First, our mouths started to water! Second, we had to keep ourselves from devouring it in two large bites! Peppermint White Chocolate Eclair But in all seriousness guys, the Peppermint White Chocolate Eclair was SUPER yummy! While it definitely tasted minty to us, the peppermint flavor wasn’t overpowering. Plus the richness of the pastry and chocolaty-ness really helped to cut through the mint! Mickey and Minnie sit by the fire as Figaro plays with leftover holiday ribbon. Minnie and Daisy bake cookies, including some dog treats for a curious Pluto. Celebrating the release of “Frozen 2,” we have a new design featuring Anna, Elsa, Olaf, Kristoff, and Sven as they venture “Into the Unknown” together. Beaches & Cream Located between the Yacht Club and Beach Club Resorts in the Epcot Resort Area, Beaches and Cream is a staple in Disney, serving up ice cream, burgers, hot dogs, and more in a boardwalk-style restaurant. Since August, the beloved shop has been closed for refurbishment. 12. Bring out the spoons and get ready to return to one of the most popular restaurants at Walt Disney World Resort! That’s right, Beaches & Cream Soda Shop is set to reopen at Disney’s Beach Club Resort on Dec. 26, 2019. The popular restaurant will return with those classic fan-favorite flavored sodas, malted milkshakes, hot-off-the-grill items, and of course the beloved Kitchen Sink. When Beaches & Cream Soda Shop reopens, you’ll find even more room to enjoy those diner dishes and desserts. As part of an improved layout and enhanced experience, the restaurant has expanded to offer more space, inviting returning fans and first-timers more opportunities to scoop up a spot. In addition, a fresh new look embraces the timeless charm of an old-fashioned soda fountain. Throughout the playful eatery are subtle pops of color found within its beach-inspired design. Soft shades of teal, almond and rose adorn the walls and décor, along with accents of yellow and blue. Colorful, decorative balls reminiscent of beach balls are scattered throughout, while a collection of blue, amber, and pink beaded glass globes hang overhead highlighting the center of the space. At the counter, bistro-styled barstools are situated in front of scalloped aqua tiles and rose-colored banquettes line the tables along the wall. And prominently situated near the counter is a tall, bright jukebox, a staple within this turn-of-the-century soda fountain, featuring hits that span the decades. Framed antique mirrors and artwork of Mickey and friends at the beach complete the space. In addition to all of these colorful transformations, you’ll find a number of new items sprinkled throughout the menu, including a Seared Salmon Filet Sandwich (with bacon aïoli, lettuce, and tomato on a house-baked multi-grain bun), a French Dip Sandwich (topped with crispy fried onions and swiss cheese and served on a toasted French roll), and a selection of loaded tots like the Sock Hop Topped with cheese sauce and green onions. There’s also a plant-based loaded tots with plant-based chili, cheddar cheese, sour cream, and green onions. Another plant-based option on the menu will be the Plant-Based Burger featuring a plant-based patty with plant-based mayonnaise and caramelized balsamic onion jam on a house-baked multi-grain bun. And to satisfy your sweet tooth, there are plenty of sweet treats on the menu, including the popular specialty shakes and sundaes as well as seasonal cheesecake and Old Fashion Apple Pie! And another new dessert is COOKIE FRIES! This yummy dish comes with marshmallow cream, chocolate, caramel, and strawberry dipping sauces and it’s not just delicious, it’s plant-based too! And of course, if you’re up to the challenge, you and your friends can take on the famous Kitchen Sink sundae with scoops of vanilla, chocolate, strawberry, cookies and cream, and mint chocolate chip ice cream smothered in every topping available! 14. Exciting news! The all-new “Magic Happens” parade will make its debut at Disneyland park, beginning Feb. 28, 2020. As we previously shared on the Disney Parks Blog, “Magic Happens” celebrates awe-inspiring moments of magic that are at the heart of so many Disney stories. Mickey Mouse leads this new daytime spectacular down Main Street, U.S.A., revealing a parade of stunning floats, beautiful costumes and beloved Disney characters. “Magic Happens” will also feature an energetic musical score and a new song, co-composed by singer-songwriter Todrick Hall. Here are some highlights of the new parade, including a few more sneak peeks: From Walt Disney Animation Studios’ record-breaking hit “Frozen 2,” Anna and Elsa explore the mysteries of an enchanted forest protected by Nokk, the mystical water spirit, as their friends Kristoff, Sven and Olaf tag along. On her voyager canoe, Moana journeys forth on the crest of a towering wave, inspired by beautiful koa wood carvings and inset with dazzling, animated glimpses into the magic the ocean holds. Joining Moana on her journey is legendary demigod, Maui, making his Disneyland Resort debut on his own magical island, along with Moana’s adorable pet pig, Pua. Miguel appears in person for the first time, celebrating the magic that happens when he strums the guitar of Ernesto de la Cruz in the Disney and Pixar film, “Coco.” This spectacular float bridges the Land of the Living and the Land of the Dead with vibrant marigolds, and fantastical alebrije spirit animals join the procession, along with Miguel’s dog Danté. The regal grand finale of “Magic Happens” celebrates magical moments from several classic Disney stories, including the happily-ever-after scene from “Sleeping Beauty” with a trio of fairies and Princess Aurora’s gown shimmering between hues of pink and blue. “Magic Happens” will remind us we don’t need wings to fly, that shooting stars were made to wish upon, and that magic doesn’t stop at midnight. Stay tuned to the Disney Parks Blog for more fun details about this extraordinary parade, as we get closer to opening day on February 28! View the full article

  19. All these holiday treats at Disneyland sure are getting us into the holiday spirit! Disneyland Holidays The most wonderful time of the year has arrived at the Happiest Place on Earth! And by “most wonderful time of the year,” we obvi mean CHURRO SEASON. From the Sugar Plum Churro to the Sugar Cookie Churro, Disneyland has been serving up their classic treat with some truly festive twists (see our holiday churro RANKINGS here!). Today, we’re heading over to Disneyland to try out another cheery treat — or should we say cherry treat! Check out our Disneyland Holiday Churro Rankings HERE! Disneyland knows their churros, so we were excited to check out their newest holiday edition: the Christmas Tree Churro! Christmas Tree Churro The churro comes covered in green sugar, with a side of cherry pie dipping sauce, which actually comes with a full cherry in it! Christmas Tree Churro Even though it comes covered in green-colored sugar, we found this to taste just like a regular churro by itself! The cherry pie dipping sauce, on the other hand, is DELICIOUS! It comes with a full cherry in a dipping sauce that really tastes like cherry pie. It’s not too sweet, and definitely adds a great flavor to the churro! Christmas Tree Churro That being said, if you’re not a massive cherry fan, we’d recommend just sticking with a regular ol’ Disneyland churro (they’re great, you won’t regret it!), as the only real difference to be had here is the cherry pie dipping sauce. Christmas Tree Churro If you ARE a cherry fan, than head on over at The Snackin’ Place, ’cause you’re going to want to pick up the Christmas Tree Churro, available there for $6.25! Food & Wine will be coming to California Adventure February 28 through April 21 and will feature a variety of Festival Marketplaces where you can chow down on some tasty eats! I hope you come back to roost at the Cluck-a-Doodle-Moo booth!) Salt and Vinegar Parmesan Chicken Wings And the third Marketplace to return is Nuts About Cheese. Fingers crossed the Fiscalini White Cheddar Lager Soup served in a Mini Boudin Sourdough Bowl comes back with it because YUM. 24. We’re officially in December and I’m full of holiday spirit. My shopping is nearly complete and I’m looking forward to spending time with my family and friends in Ohio in just 2 more weeks. (Crossing my fingers for some snow!) One of my favorite holiday traditions is watching seasonal films on repeat until Christmas. I’m such a stickler for the classics but I love watching new ones every year like “Noelle,” an original holiday film now streaming on Disney+. This is a must-watch film filled with so many cute characters, funny holiday puns, and very merry magic. Those of you who have visited Disney Springs recently might have noticed we took a few elements from the film and added them to our very own Disney Springs Christmas Tree Trail. If you haven’t had the chance to visit yet, don’t panic—you can explore our winter wonderland through January 5, 2020. With fun “Noelle” activities plus new food and beverage and merchandise, there are so many reasons to visit this season. Here are a few of my favorites: New Disney Christmas Trees As soon as I heard my favorite Disney movie “The Lion King” was getting an inspired tree this year I squealed! I was among many that had Lion King fever when the live-action film debuted this past summer and our Holiday Services knocked it out of the park with so many great details and décor. The team also payed homage to “Aladdin” this year with a tree adorned with all your favorite characters and icons (even its own magic carpet). While you’re taking an up-close look at the decorations, you’ll notice a few ornaments in lanterns—these are actual ornaments that can be purchased inside Disney’s Days of Christmas near the exit of the Christmas Tree Trail. The Elforium Are you in love with the themed Disney posters scattered throughout the Disney Springs Christmas Tree Trail? You’re in luck! An all-new collection of Christmas Tree Trail merchandise is available at the Elforium including t-shirts, postcards, luggage tags, tumblers and more. I’ve been in love with these posters since they debuted 4 years ago and I’m always excited to see new ones pop up. Make sure you stop by The Art of Disney and visit the Print on Demand kiosk where select poster designs are available to purchase as prints (a great holiday gift for a Disney fan!) Feeling inspired to decorate your own tree at home? There’s an impressive collection of ornaments available as well (some even pre-personalized). Ask cast members about our “Bundle and Save” promotion—select ornaments* are $20 each (plus tax) when you purchase three. (*Valid for ornaments priced at $21.99-$24.99 each. Personalization available for an additional cost. See store for more details.) Noelle Kringle’s Café & The Egg Noggery If you’re looking for something sweet or salty to snack on make a stop at Noelle Kringle’s Café featuring classic snacks like popcorn and Mickey pretzels and festive sweets such as Mrs. Claus’ Churro Bites with Peppermint Chocolate Sauce. Adorable refillable souvenir popcorn buckets are also sold here including the popular Mickey Christmas Tree and Snowman designs. (Available while supplies last.) Just a few steps away is the Egg Noggery where holiday spirits are aplenty like the “Claus-mo,” “Florida Yule,” “Winter Wonderland” and “Thank Garland Frozen Hot Chocolate.” Disney+ “Noelle” Photo Opportunity and Dance Party Keep an eye out for an adorable photo with Noelle and Nick Kringle near the exit of the Christmas Tree Trail then bust a move with your holiday crew at our DJ Dance Party happening 7-11 p.m. daily. (Located near EARL OF SANDWICH.) Also you catch a glimpse of the actual costumes from “Noelle” inside the windows at the World of Disney store just across the way from Basin. Do you have a favorite tree in the Disney Springs Christmas Tree Trail this year? I’d love to know in the comments below! Share your photos during your visit using #DisneySprings on social media. 25. We’re about the blow the roof OFF the big top with this BIG announcement! The iconic white tent at Disney Springs We now know the NAME of the new Cirque Du Soleil show when it debuts next spring in Disney Springs! Oh — and the new name (and newly released photos) are VERY telling of what direction this new Cirque Du Soleil production is headed! Alright, we can’t filibuster like a circus ringmaster ANY LONGER! The name of the new Disney Springs Cirque Du Soleil Show IS… ©Cirque Du Soleil Concept Art …Drawn to Life! And as you can see from the concept art just released today, Disney’s newest Cirque Du Soleil show is drawing much of its inspiration from, well… Disney! In this new show, we’ll be introduced to Julie, who, according to Cirque Du Soliel, is, “a courageous and determined girl who discovers an unexpected gift left by her late father: an unfinished animation piece.” ©Cirque Du Soleil Concept Art Guided by a surprising pencil, she embarks on an inspiring quest sprinkled with her Disney childhood memories. Through this journey, she learns to imagine new possibilities and animate the story of her future. Check out these images of headpieces for a new character we’ll encounter in Drawn to Life dubbed Mr. Pencil! Not sure why his name isn’t Mr. Paintbrush, but we’ll just have to wait and see! ©Cirque Du Soleil Concept Art Unlike La Nouba, Cirque Du Soleil’s previous show which ran in Disney Springs for 19 years, Drawn to Life is a “collaboration between Cirque du Soleil, Walt Disney Animation Studios and Walt Disney Imagineering!” Look at some of the makeup designs for the new cast below! ©Cirque Du Soleil Concept Art And there’s even this sneak peek of a new Drawn to Life costume! It’s from a sequence called, Dream of Color — while the top resembles a partially rendered sketch, the lower part is made of leather with a metallic finish! GORG! ©Cirque Du Soleil Concept Art There’s also an image of this animator’s table, possibly a prop? ©Cirque Du Soleil Concept Art While we can only speculate about some of the new stuff we’ll be seeing in Drawn to Life, one thing’s for sure — the new show will be PACKED with some serious star power. Check out these performers practicing their acrobatics on the Russian swing! ©Cirque Du Soleil Concept Art There’s also an image of a performer training on an aerial pole… ©Cirque Du Soleil Concept Art …and this performer flying high above his peers via teeterboard! ©Cirque Du Soleil Concept Art Drawn to Life will open for previews March 20, 2020, while the show will make its official debut April 17, 2020. Currently, you can purchase tickets online here!
