The day is finally here, and we’re so excited to get a taste of the European riviera in the most Disney way possible! Riviera Resort We’ve already brought you a full review of the NEW Topolino’s Terrace character meal AND a look at the new resort LIVE, we’re now bringing you with us on a FULL photo tour of the Riviera Resort! So, what are you waiting for?? Let’s cruise on over to the Riviera! Riviera Resort Exterior Since we’ve been keeping up with all the construction on the resort, we’ve been able to see what the resort’s exterior looks like for a while now. Buuut, now we can get a closer look at the beautiful details! Riviera Resort Exterior The outside features a more simple color scheme with hues of red, blue, white, and gray (that just look so elegant!!). To match the “riviera” theme, there are plenty of fountains and pools with crystal clear water to make guests feel like they’re relaxing on the Mediterranean coastline. Riviera Resort Exterior However, our favorite parts of the resort are its easy access to the Skyliner and its stunning hand-laid mosaics. Riviera Resort Skyliner Station Although it only just opened today, Riviera is one of the four Disney resorts that has a direct line on the Skyliner System! Even if you’re staying at Disney’s Caribbean Beach, visiting Riviera Resort (and trying some of those lemon madeleines with a glass of wine) is only a ride in the sky away! Riviera Resort Skyliner Station Plus, the Skyliners at Riviera Resort give guests easy transportation from the hotel to Epcot and Hollywood Studios! And, like the Disney buses or Monorails, the Skyliners drop you off sooo close to the parks (yaaaas!) so you can hop on Rise of the Resistance or Frozen Ever After pretty soon after you land. Riviera Resort Skyliner Station Although the color scheme might be simple, the mosaics and artwork are beautifully intricate around the resort! While the inside has artwork of some of our favorite Disney Princesses… Riviera Resort Mosaics …the outside features hand-land mosaics with scenes from the films! Tunnel to Skyliner with Mosaics We seriously can’t get over how GORGEOUS the Tangled Mosaic is with its pink and purple colors (just like Rapunzel‘s dress!), lanterns… …and tall tower where Rapunzel lets down her hair to Flynn Rider! Tangled Mosaic And, you can travel all the way from the Riviera to London with the Peter Pan Mosaic too! Peter Pan Mosaic You can follow Peter, Wendy, Tink, and the rest of the gang towards the Second Star to the Right and straight on till morning… Peter Pan Mosaic …over to the Neverland part of the mosaic! When the ship turns golden as Peter captains it, we basically cry every time tbh. Peter Pan Mosaic If you can’t get enough of the mosaics and the artwork (um, we definitely can’t), you can even grab an Art Collection Search Map. Once you find all the spots around the resort and place their corresponding stickers, you’ll receive a gift from the Disney Vacation Club desk! Search Map Even though we love the outside (obvi), we gotta admire the entrance to the resort for a sec. The Riviera Resort logo welcomes guests to relax on the seaside during their vacation, while the chandeliers light up the way to a fantastic time! Riviera Resort Entrance There are plenty of benches for people to sit outside and enjoy the weather or wait for the Magical Express! But, we aren’t leaving the Riviera just yet, so let’s go on inside! Riviera Resort Entrance Riviera Resort Lobby Spoiler alert: It’s so beautiful, it takes our breath away! While you’re greeted with a warm welcome from the sweet Cast Members (Bonjour!)… Riviera Resort Cast Member …you also get treated to a cozy and sophisticated lobby! There are multiple chairs, couches, and tables around the area so guests feel right at home. The light fixtures add a soft ambience that’s relaxing, while the Christmas decorations put you in a festive mood for the holidays! Riviera Resort Lobby There’s also a kid section so your little ones can chill out while Mom and Dad check them in to the hotel for their AWESOME vacation! Kid Section in the Lobby The staircase that leads outside has a slightly bent, wavy feel that reminds us of the ocean and French architecture (Disney really does think of everything!)… Riviera Resort Staircase …and the large windows give you a great view of the pool and tables just out the doors! Riviera Resort Atmosphere Even though we love the lobby, we are SO EXCITED to show you the incredible rooms at the Rivera!! It features an entire living room area… Grand Villa Living Room …where the entire family can laugh and make memories together. Grand Villa Television The villa has a beautiful kitchen with stainless steel appliances, so you can make your own meals outside the park! Grand Villa Kitchen You could even have an entire dinner party (and invite the DFB team, pls) in the dining room! Grand Villa Dining Room The grand villa has three bedrooms. Two of the bedrooms feature two queen size beds so you can sprawl out comfortably! Grand Villa Bedroom (One even has adorable murals above the headboards!!) Grand Villa Bedroom The rooms have a flat screen television… Grand Villa Bedroom …a patio to watch the Skyliners go by… Grand Villa Patio …and a bathroom with a walk-in shower and vanity! Grand Villa Bathroom The toilet is separated, so you can have a lil more privacy away from everyone staying in the villa! Grand Villa Bathroom But, the best room of them all is the master bedroom! The gorgeous room has a massive king size bed, artwork above the headboard… Grand Villa Master Bedroom …beautiful drapes and curtains… Grand Villa Master Bedroom …a chair and foot rest… Grand Villa Master Bedroom …and another TV to watch a show or two before you go to sleep! Grand Villa Master Bedroom The master bathroom is just as gorgeous with two sinks… Grand Villa Master Bathroom …a vanity… Grand Villa Master Bathroom …a walk-in shower… Grand Villa Master Bathroom …and a rounded bathtub (wine and a bath sound like the perfect duo at the Riviera)! And, there’s even a THIRD bathroom in the grand villa, which means you obviously have to use them all!! Grand Villa Master Bathroom These rooms are some of the prettiest we’ve seen on property yet! Although the design and layout are simple, the rooms from the studio all the way up to the grand villa are elegant, yet cozy. Riviera Resort Pools And ooh la la, did you know that Riviera Resort has two pools?? Adults, if you’re looking for a place to relax and get away from the kids, you might want to stretch out by the Beau Soleil Pool! This one is open to everyone, but it is a bit smaller and less…kid-attractive. Beau Soleil Pool The long pool is great for laps or floating on the water… Beau Soleil Pool …or even just to read a book and get in some relaxation! Beau Soleil Pool Chairs There are plenty of pool chairs and a shaded lounge area for guests… Beau Soleil Pool Lounge Area …but our favorite part is the giant pool lounger! (Nap time, anybody??) Beau Soleil Pool Lounger There’s also a hot tub for warming up… Beau Soleil Hot Tub …before you hop back into the Beau Soleil Pool! Beau Soleil Pool Close by, the family-friendly (and bigger!) pool is fun for all ages! Riviera Resort Pool Before hopping into the pool, you can grab some complimentary pool towels… Pool Towels …and a nice spot on the pool chairs to set your things or relax! Pool Chairs While you can go for a swim, you can also take a trip to the Tower Slide! Tower Slide As you spin around, you’ll slide into another mini pool… Tower Slide …watched by lifeguards to make sure that everything is fun and safe (don’t worry, Mom and Dad!). Vivoli il Gelato Cart You can even go back to the basics with Vanilla, Chocolate, or Strawberry and add some sprinkles on top! Vivoli il Gelato Cart Riviera Resort Dining It wouldn’t be a DFB photo tour if we didn’t look at the dining! And, we’re about to take you on a tour of not one, but FOUR new dining options!! Le Petit Café First up, we have Le Petit Café, which is styled after the iconic and beautiful cafés of Paris, France. Le Petit Cafe Sign Before we even get into the food and atmosphere, we love the fact that Abigail Gabble, Amelia Gabble, and Uncle Waldo from The Aristocats are given their moment of stardom at the restaurant! While you can spot Le Petit Café itself on the right side, the artwork is influenced by Van Gogh’s “Starry Night,” which he just happened to paint in France as well! Le Petit Cafe Mural There’s also a collection of vintage plates on the wall that show Mickey and Minnie in various jobs and situations (firefighter Mickey has our heart), so guests can stop by and enjoy before being seated! Mickey Plate Art Le Petit Café is just off to the side of the lobby as you enter the resort, with plenty of expansive seating for guests to lounge and indulge themselves. Le Petit Cafe Seating Although we’ve already seen the menu for Le Petit Café (and for Bar Riva)… Le Petit Cafe Menu …now, we can finally take a peek at the café itself! Le Petit Cafe Coffee Counter While you’re visiting the location, you can try some French pastries like Chocolate Croissants… Chocolate Croissant …Cinnamon Twists… Cinnamon Twist …or the yummy Madeleines (that we can’t get enough of)! Bar Riva Sign We REALLY love the location of Bar Riva since it’s almost like being indoors AND outdoors at the same time! Bar Riva Seating Voyageurs’ Lounge Still craving another cocktail? Then, head over to the Voyageurs’ Lounge for some boozy beverages and small bites! Voyageurs’ Lounge The lounge is inspired by the books that Walt collected as well as his 1935 “Grand Tour” through Europe (the coolest guy ever). Voyageurs’ Lounge Books And, even though you can relax and pick up a book… Voyageurs’ Lounge Books …you can also have some friendly competition with checkers… Voyageurs’ Lounge Checkers …or watch something new and exciting on the television! Voyageurs’ Lounge Books and TV The Voyageurs’ Lounge is also a fantastic place to recharge if you don’t feel like heading back to your room! There are plenty of cozy couches… Voyageurs’ Lounge Seating …chairs, and tables so you can give your feet a short break before heading back into the parks. Voyageurs’ Lounge Seating Plus, the tables even come with a USB port to recharge your devices! Thanks, Uncle Walt! Voyageurs’ Lounge Memorabilia Primo Piatto Primo Piatto is a family-friendly quick-service option that really rounds out the resort’s offerings with a trip to Italy! Primo Piatto Coffee Station We are total fans of the Freestyle Coke machines, so we are SO happy to see them in Primo Piatto! We love all those different drinks and flavors to choose from. Primo Piatto Freestyle Coke Machines No matter what you pick to sip or snack on, you can admire the photos of Walt Disney’s Mediterranean travels hanging on the walls, reminding us of the man who started it all! Primo Piatto Atmosphere There are even some interesting light fixtures (we kinda want these in our house)… Primo Piatto Atmosphere …and floral seats with the same bright color scheme from the exterior of the resort! While you can choose your entrée from options like the Quiche Gruyère, Sour Cream Waffles, or Wood-fired Butchers Steak… Excited to dive into our breakfast selections! …you’ll also get to try some sweets and pastries, all decorated in Mickey and Minnie’s iconic fashion! Breakfast a la Art Pastries For the grown-ups, you can also sip on specialty Bellinis and Mimosas… Classic Bellini …Bloody Marys and more! Topolino’s Terrace Breakfast a la Art Characters Check out our full review of the Breakfast a la Art here! Overall, we have to say that the Riviera Resort is a stunning new Disney hotel. The amount of things to do, eat, and see are outstanding here. While the resort is definitely more on the pricey side (it’s priced more like Grand Floridian and Contemporary Resorts rather than Old Key West or Saratoga Springs), this might be a great option for families who like to spend their time visiting the pools, restaurants, and activities that are offered at the hotels instead of going to the parks on the daily! Stay tuned as we update this post with even more from the resort! Want to know more about the Riviera Resort? Check out all the deets here! Primo Piatto Artwork that adorns the walls includes classic black and white photography of Walt Disney on his travels around the world outlined by decorative wainscoting and a palette of calming, subdued colors. Primo Piatto Primo Piatto’s vintage-inspired lighting is also a nod to its simple, yet elegantly refined sense of style. Primo Piatto Wine and Coffee Station There are cases of grab-n-go ice-cold beverages for you to choose from… Primo Piatto Beverage Station And check out Primo Piatto’s ultra modern-looking Coke Freestyle machines! Who wouldn’t want to refill their Refillable Resort Mugs right here every day, we ask you?! So cool! Primo Piatto Freestyle Coke Machines Speaking of which! There were plenty of Refillable Resort Mugs on hand when we arrived! And can we just have this bar cart, please? It’s so lovely, we just want to roll it home with us! Refillable Resort Mugs There’s even a microwave and toaster available in case you need one! Microwave and Toaster As well as condiments… ON TAP! Isn’t the 21st-century GRAND! Condiments Plenty of coffee fixings as well including various types of milk (including non-dairy almond milk!) Primo Piatto Coffee Station Oh! And we can’t forget to mention there’s grab ‘n go gelato at Primo Piatto, too! Disney has thought of everything! There’s Cherry Vanilla Swirl Gelato! Cherry Vanilla Swirl Gelato As well as Toasted Honey Almond Gelato, mmm! Toasted Honey Almond Gelato But we can’t leave out Vanilla Chocolate Chunk Gelato! These look so delicious! Vanilla Chocolate Chunk Gelato Alright, enough drooling over the to-go gelato! We gotta hurry before breakfast wraps up, after all! We’re ready to order up our first meal at Primo Piatto, pronto! Eats Check out the A.M. offerings of Primo Piatto below! The breakfast menu is broken down into Breakfast Pizzas, Breakfast Sandwiches, and Entrees, including Plant-Based options like the Scrambled “Egg” Bowl! Primo Piatto Menu There’s also a wide selection of Kid’s Meals and Beverages to kick off your day with before heading off to the parks! Primo Piatto Menu Oh, and here’s a look at the Primo Piatto’s Specialty Coffee menu for fellow coffee snobs! Primo Piatto Menu For our eats we picked up a couple of tasty bites. This Warm Sticky Bun we grabbed for $4.29 didn’t stand a chance! It did put up a little bit of a fight, though, as it was VERY sticky! The topping reminded us of peanut brittle (only these were almonds!) and it had a nice crunch! Overall, it was delightful! (But seriously, it was ACTUALLY very sticky!) Warm Sticky Bun And these Blueberry-Lemon Pancakes for $11.29 weren’t messing around either! They were super — as in super THICK! They sorta remind us of Japanese souffle pancakes that are having a moment right now! Plus we have 2 little words for you — mascarpone cream. Yup, sold. Blueberry Pancakes Not sure about you, but we always find room for pizza — especially when its this yummy-looking! Here’s Primo Piatto’s Breakfast Pizza! But we’d eat it morning, noon and night if we could! It’s topped with Italian Sausage, Roasted Tomatoes and a soft-baked egg for $10.29. Breakfast Pizza And while the Breakfast Pizza reminded us more of an open-faced sandwich, there was this good ol’ fashion Ciabatta Breakfast Sandwich with Egg, too! This bad boy features eggs, provolone, mortadella, and vegetable giardiniera (pickled veggies) on a Ciabatta roll for $11.29. Breakfast Sandwich Check out Primo Piatto’s FULL Breakfast, Lunch, and Dinner Menus HERE! And while we finished up breakfast at Primo Piatto, we saved just enough room for some LUNCH! Primo Piatto’s lunch menu offerings include Hearth Baked Pizzas, Hot and Cold Sandwiches, Entrees, and Salad including several Plant-based options, as well as Desserts, too! Check out the tasty Croque Monsieur we ordered for ourselves! Croque Monsieur This tasty classic French ham and cheese sammie starring ham, cheese and Bechamel sauce between toasty bread with even MORE cheese on top. Grab this for $12.99 with your choice of side (we went with french fries!). If you want this even more fun, order it for breakfast as the Croque Madame — this is the same sandwich with a fried egg on top! Croque Monsieur We gotta say, it was our favorite thing that we’d tried so far at Primo Piatto. The bread could have been toasted just a smidge more, but the flavors were seriously on point! We also sampled the Harrisa-spiced Chicken Salad on Pita for $9.49! Harissa Chicken Salad on Pita This dish was also super-enjoyable. The chicken was light and flavorful while the spread itself had a nice mix of textures thanks to some chopped pieces of celery and bits of crushed up almonds! The pita was fresh and went well with the crisp lettuce and tomato. We didn’t pick up too much heat from this, so don’t let the Harissa in the name scare you off! Harissa Chicken Salad on Pita And check out the Tuna Niçoise Salad we scored for $13.99! We had to pinch our arms to remind ourselves we’re at a quick-service restaurant. The presentation of this dish is incredible! And we’re excited to report the flavors didn’t disappoint either! Tuna Nicoise Salad While our salad was dressed a little too heavy with Dijon vinaigrette, the tuna was cooked perfectly and there were some nice briny notes from the Kalamata olives scattered throughout. It’s served with a perfectly cooked egg, crunchy fresh green beans, roasted potatoes, and tomatoes. Tuna Nicoise Salad After eating two meals virtually back to back, we’d ALMOST had our fill. But we dug deep and found the ROOM and COURAGE to continue on! What’s for dessert? How about this adorable Butter Cookie for $3.29! It’s got Artist Mickey on it, whom you can meet at Topolino’s character breakfast! Butter Cookie Read our review of Topolino’s Character breakfast here! Hey, it may be simple, but it’s effective! This little Mickey-shaped cutie really hit the spot! And he was so SOFT he was virtually falling apart in our hands! Butter Cookie And while the beverage and snack selection remains the same throughout the day, Primo Piatto’s dinner menu reflects the same options available for lunchtime, but with the addition of several dinner-time exclusive specialty entrees! We’ll be back for more once we DIGEST a little of what we’ve already tried first! And don’t forget — you can also mobile order your food at Primo Piatto via the My Disney Experience app! Primo Piatto Cashier Station If you do, your food is served in this CAH-UTE to-go packaging! To-Go Packaging at Primo Piatto Including to-go cutlery and a napkin! Tres chic! It’s a great big beautiful today in Walt Disney World! Spaceship Earth If you’re lucky enough to be frequenting the stomping ground of Mickey Mouse this week, you might be interested to know what iconic attractions and locations won’t be open while you’re there. Here’s our weekly report of everything closed for refurbishment in Magic Kingdom, Animal Kingdom, Epcot, and Hollywood Studios! Refurbishments in Magic Kingdom Walt Disney World Railroad Once again we have the sad reality of not being able to ride the Walt Disney World Railroad in its signature loop around the Magic Kingdom. You’ll find the Fantasyland and Frontierland stations closed, but the Main Street Station is at least open for a visit! Swing by to take a pic with one of the iconic steam engines and pass some of the many minutes that we have to wait for this attraction to reopen. Disney World Railroad The Railroad has been closed for a while and will remain closed for the foreseeable future as we haven’t gotten any news of its reopening. We DO know that it closed to allow for construction on TRON Lightcycle Run which we expect to be completed by Disney World’s 50th Anniversary in 2021. Click here to learn everything we know about TRON Lightcycle Run! Though not an official closure, you also might miss out on Big Top Souvenirs, at least early this week. The retail location closed last week due to unforeseen circumstances and will be reopening as soon as possible. That means you could be grabbing those silly souvenirs this week, but we’re not completely sure. Storybook Circus’ Big Top Thankfully, Pete’s Silly Sideshow next door has reopened, but we’ll keep you posted on when Big Top opens its door once again. Refurbishments in Epcot Impressions de France Palais du Cinema remains closed in the World Showcase in Epcot to get ready for the reopening as a two-show venue. On January 17, you’ll be able to swing by the France Pavilion for the return of Impressions de France and for the debut of the Beauty and the Beast Sing-Along! Beauty and the Beast Sing-Along ©Disney The shows will run in a rotation, so we don’t have to say goodbye to Impressions de France and we still get to see the new show! We got a sneak peek at the Beauty and the Beast Sing-Along. Click here to see what we found out! Canada Circle-Vision Theater O’ Canada closed a while ago to prepare for a new Canada Far & Wide show at the Canada Circle-Vision Theater. Canada Construction This week, the closure continues BUT Canada Far & Wide will also be opening on January 17th so that’ll be a BIG day in Epcot! Click here to check out all the info on Canada Far & Wide? And that’s all the closures in Disney World this week! So far, there are no refurbishments reported in Hollywood Studios or Animal Kingdom and we’ll be sure to let you know if there are any changes! Anxious for the new improvements? “Where are you Christmas (ears), why can’t we find you?” Gingerbread Minnie Ears We’ve got a mystery on our hands this holiday season: where, oh where, have all the holiday Minnie Ears gone?! From the Gingerbread Minnie Ears, to the Plaid Minnie Ears, and Peppermint Candy Minnie Ears, we have loooooved the designs Disney has offered us for the most wonderful time of the year. But lately, it seems like they’ve all but disappeared around Disney World, leading us to wonder what happened? We put on our detective caps Ears to figure out what exactly has happened to all three styles of the holiday Minnie Ears! Unfortunately, we’re hearing that the Gingerbread and Plaid Minnie Ears have totally sold out. Major bummer! Buffalo Check Plaid Minnie Ears Oh, and if you find those Redd Minnie Ears ANYWHERE, be prepared to be mobbed with direct message requests to buy them from you. Fugeddaboudit While we’re hearing from cast members that the sold out styles will not be restocked, we were able to find the Peppermint Candy Minnie Ears available at a few select locations around the parks using the My Disney Experience app. Peppermint Candy Minnie Ears on My Disney Experience ©Disney Additionally, you can still shop the Peppermint Candy Minnie Ears online at shopDisney, where they’re available for $29.99. Peppermint Candy Minnie Ears While we’re bummed about most of the collection selling out, we’ve still got plenty of other holiday treats and merch to enjoy during the most wonderful time of year! Recently we sent three of our Disney Parks Moms Panelists on a trip far, far away to the planet of Batuu. What they have returned with are their must-do tips that all travelers will find useful. Let’s see what Eean, Jen, and Kara found in Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge at Disney’s Hollywood Studios. Black Spire Outpost is a 14-acre settlement on the planet of Batuu, divided into three distinct sections: The Resistance, the First Order, and separating the two, a marketplace for adventures, smugglers, and traders. If you find yourself as a new recruit of the Resistance, be on guard as the First Order is always on the look-out for enemies. This is especially the case when you find yourself in the midst of an important mission on Walt Disney World Resort’s newest attraction, Star Wars: Rise of the Resistance, where an R-5 droid will help you escape from the clutches of Kylo Ren. You can also assist Hondo Ohnaka by acquiring a shipment of coaxium fuel and helping your crew by flying that famous hunk of junk, the Millennium Falcon: Smugglers Run (just make sure you choose your pilots very carefully!). Assisting the Resistance can be a draining job, thank goodness for the locations where you can sample some of the most popular foods on Batuu. Our unanimous favorite at Docking Bay 7 Food and Cargo was the plant-based Felucian Kefta and Hummus Garden Spread, but we also recommend trying the Nuna Turkey Jerky at Ronto Roasters and the tantalizing Outpost Popcorn Mix at Kat Saka’s Kettle. Panel Tip: Use Mobile Ordering through your Data Pad (AKA mobile device) at any of these quick-service locations to maximize your downtime waiting in lines. Oga’s Cantina, for all ages, is one of the most infamous watering holes in the galaxy. This is a great place to refuel while listening to DJ R-3X spin his tunes and enjoy some creative concoctions, like the non-alcoholic Oga’s Obsession or the Fuzzy Tauntaun with “Buzz Button Tingling” Foam. Although walk-ins are occasionally accepted, the best way to visit Oga’s is by making reservations up to 180 days in advance on the Walt Disney World website. And be sure to take part in the epic debate of blue milk (Bantha milk) versus green milk (Thala-Siren milk from Ahch-To). You can taste these at the outdoor Milk Stand. Our team was definitely divided on which one was better. Let us know your vote in the comments below. Living your own Star Wars adventure is what Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge and the planet Batuu are all about, so take the time to wander and take in all the details. Inside this 14-acre outpost, guests will find nine retail locations filled with more than 700 unique treasures that can only be found on Batuu waiting to make the trip back home to planet Earth. Included in these locations are authentic spaces that truly let you live out your Star Wars dreams. My favorites are Savi’s Workshop and Droid Depot. Savi’s Workshop allows travelers to create one-of-a-kind lightsabers under the guidance of a group called the Gatherers. Inside the workshop, the Gatherers will share their collection of unusual parts and pieces, as well as kyber crystals, which bring each lightsaber to life. The Force will be strong with you as you assemble your weapon and cherish it for years to come. Not to give away any secrets, but this immersive experience is one you won’t soon forget. Panel Tip: Make reservations for this experience on the Walt Disney World website before you arrive for your adventure as it can fill up quickly. Every great hero of a story has a sidekick, and in Batuu guests can create their own sidekick at Droid Depot. R-series or BB-series astromechs can be constructed in this custom adventure using droid parts and pieces that come out on a conveyor belt. Once you pick your pieces, your new sidekick is activated and can be controlled by a cool remote control. Droids can even be customized with personality-affiliation chips allowing them to be fighters for the Resistance or loyalties of the First Order. Droids with personality chips will react to the planet Batuu and the surroundings they are near, so keep them powered up while on the planet. Droids also even interact with each other! Panel Tip: Personality chips can be swapped out and can only be purchased on the planet Batuu. Buy a few and see how your Droid reacts differently. And fear not about the First Order confiscating your new souvenirs for Batuu at the airport. Lightsabers made at Savi’s Workshop and droids from Droid Depot are TSA friendly items, so it is easy to take them home. Local citizens of Batuu all have unique and funny stories to share. They love to chat, capture image scans for guests, and share local facts. Also, be on the lookout for resistance fighters and the First Order, because you never know who you will run into on Batuu. Panel Tip: Ask cast members where unique image scan spots are located. These unique photos are captured by Disney PhotoPass Photographers and make for some really cool souvenirs to show off when you return home. Enhance your time in Batuu with the Play Disney Parks Mobile App. Your mobile device will turn into your very own Star Wars: Datapad. You can use your Datapad to translate Aurebesh, tune into satellite dishes to eavesdrop on secret conversations, scan the contents of cargo grates throughout Batuu, and even interact with droids and other scenes in the land. Pro Tip: Datapads also have multi-player games that can be used in the queues for Millennium Falcon: Smugglers Run and Star Wars: Rise of the Resistance, which really make the wait in line a whole new adventure for the entire family. We hope you enjoy your visit to Batuu and will live out your own Star Wars adventure. Rising moons to you, and may the Spire keep you! For more great tips on visiting Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge, or for general Disney vacation planning questions, please visit DisneyParksMomsPanel.com for an answer from one of our panelists. Panelists receive compensation for their participation on the Disney Parks Moms Panel. View the full article

We’re feeling quite fancy this morning as we take a jaunt over to the European Riviera. Topolino’s Terrace At least we feel that way because Disney’s Riviera Resort is OPEN today! We’re live from the opening of the NEWEST Disney World Resort hotel and we’re checking out everything there is to see and do over at Riviera. Of course, that means we’re also stopping by Topolino’s Terrace — Flavors of the Riviera to do a FULL REVIEW of their Breakfast à la Art with Mickey & Friends experience, and you’ll definitely see some familiar faces. Let’s get our breakfast on! Atmosphere Topolino’s Terrace is the Riviera Resort’s signature dining space inspired by the cliffsides of the European Riviera, so you can expect to be chowin’ down in some fancy digs. Of course “Topolino” is the Italian name for Mickey Mouse himself, so we’ll be seeing a lot more of the big boss at this breakfast! This dining room is located on the roof of the resort with stunning views of the surrounding area. After all, Riviera is pretty tall! Topolino’s Rooftop Outdoor Terrace The restaurant is completely focused on the view. The outdoor terrace is expansive with a non-obstructive railing so that you can admire the area around you. And there’s some comfy seating so that you can lounge as you admire. Topolino’s Terrace Rooftop Outdoor Terrace And, it looks like they’re set up to have an outdoor bar! We’ll be excited to see that in action. Rooftop Outdoor Terrace Inside, the design is super focused on the views, too! No matter where your table is, you have an awesome view out of one of the many massive windows that line the perimeter of the restaurant! This makes the indoor terrace feel very open and airy and means that the view is breathtaking for every diner. Topolino’s Terrace Breakfast a la Art Atmosphere Seating is comfy and not overcrowded. We especially love the half booths! Topolino’s Terrace | Photo Courtesy @carlyewisel Of course, the space is all decked out for Christmas with pretty garland and a Christmas tree. Topolino’s Terrace Breakfast a la Art Atmosphere The light fixtures are notable, too, with sweeping chandeliers. The main light fixture is particularly unique. I think you either love or hate this one. Topolino’s Terrace Breakfast a la Art Atmosphere Some of the tables have individual chandeliers above them as well. We think they look a little bit like pasta, which is an awesome way to get in the mood for some tasty eats! Topolino’s Terrace Breakfast a la Art Atmosphere Speaking of pasta, check out the display of pasta, cheeses, and wine when you first enter. YUM. Talk about setting the stage for what’s to come. Topolino’s Terrace | Photo Courtesy @carlyewisel The table settings themselves are lovely. It’s a very classic and clean look that matches the color scheme of the restaurant. Topolino’s Terrace Breakfast a la Art Atmosphere The cloth napkins come emblazoned with the Topolino’s Terrace logo… Topolino’s Terrace Breakfast a la Art Atmosphere …and the butter knife (our fave part!) looks just like a paintbrush! We’re getting Animator’s Palate vibes! Topolino’s Terrace Breakfast a la Art Atmosphere We were surprised to see that the restaurant had a few items of Riviera merchandise for sale so you can nab a Mickey and friends plush, a Riviera Autograph book, or the Riviera Signature Minnie Ear Headband. You know…while you eat breakfast?! I guess Disney wants to make sure we don’t miss out on some signature merch! Topolino’s Terrace Breakfast a la Art Atmosphere Oddly enough, this merch is actually listed on the menu? We’re always down to check out some new Disney products but they definitely seem a little out of place on the menu at a fancy restaurant. Topolino’s Terrace Breakfast a la Art Atmosphere But alas, this DOES give us a great segue into a seriously amazing part of this whole breakfast…the characters! Characters Breakfast here has an added dose of Disney magic because you get to dine with Mickey, Minnie, Donald, and Daisy dressed in ADORABLE outfits that make them look like artists of the European Riviera. Topolino’s Terrace Breakfast a la Art Characters Mickey is dressed as a painter, complete with stylish beret. Looks like Mickey has been doing some WORK today. Topolino’s Terrace Breakfast a la Art Characters Minnie is wearing her finest poet garb, fresh from writing love poems to Mickey we’re sure… Topolino’s Terrace Breakfast a la Art Characters …Donald looks like he slipped in to say hi while he was midway through his newest sculpture. We can’t wait to see the completed masterpiece! … Topolino’s Terrace Breakfast a la Art Characters …Aaaaand Daisy is, of course, the most fabulous ballerina around! Topolino’s Terrace Breakfast a la Art Characters Good thing she’s a dancer, too, because, in addition to greeting guests at their tables, the characters dance around the restaurant to some fun European tunes! We love any opportunity to hang out with Mickey and friends so Topolino’s breakfast makes for a super fun experience. Keep in mind though, character breakfasts are especially coveted dining experiences in Disney World, so if you’re looking to hang with this fab four you’ll want to book early! Topolino’s Terrace Breakfast a la Art Characters But enough about the space, let’s eat! Eats Before we even took a look at the menu, we snagged a glass of orange, passion fruit, and guava juice (that’s right, THEY’RE SERVING POG JUICE!!!). Of course, this stuff is delicious. POG juice at riviera resort Then it was time to choose our entree and drinks so we swung open the beautiful and classy menu to take a look. Menu The breakfast menu is mostly prix fixe, much like many high-end character dining experiences around Disney World. Topolino’s Terrace Breakfast a la Art Menu The table starts with an appetizer of shared pastries…and there are a BUNCH of them. Our hearts were fluttering as we watched these tasty European delights arrive. There were chocolate chip muffins and croissants… …AND the specialty of the pastries is the DELISH Epi Bread, which is a beautiful pull-apart bread that looks just like a wheat stalk. Complimentary pastries They are served in a paint-splashed bucket that looks super cute. The pastries come with honey butter, house-made jam, and a chocolate hazelnut mousse that reminded us of Nutella. Yum! Plus, the different spreads look like paints in a palette. Pastries Of course, it wouldn’t be signature dining without a whole bevy of beverage choices. We tried a few cocktails and a few nonalcoholic options. After all, there are a lot of drinks to choose from. As cocktails go, we tried the Riviera Bloody Mary and the Floral Bellini. Drinks The Riviera Bloody Mary was delicious! This guy wasn’t too spicy but had a nice kick. Plus, it comes with Crispy Pancetta, Parmesan, and an Olive on top. Bloody Mary Now, Bellinis are a special thing here at Topolino’s apparently. You can either get a Classic Bellini, or a Floral Bellini (enhanced with house-made floral ice cubes). We ordered the Floral Bellini with Elderflower, Peach, and Citrus flavors. Classic Bellini The flavors were smooth and not too sweet. And the Elderflower-infused ice cube was a great addition! The ice cube brings a nice floral twist to the drink that we didn’t hate. It has a nice well-rounded flavor and stays cold with the ice cube. We’d definitely order this again. Elderflower-infused Ice Cube Next up is the entree course, which is your choice between nine different options like the Wild Mushroom Scramble or the Spiced Sausage Hash. We opted for the Quiche Gruyère, the Sour Cream Waffles, and the Wood-fired Butchers Steak. Excited to dive into our breakfast selections! First, we dug into the Quiche Gruyère, with House-made Pancetta, Roasted Potatoes, Field Greens, and Lemon Vinaigrette. Quiche Gruyere This thing was SO tasty! It’s super cheesy (which you know is our jam). Quiche Gruyere It was seasoned just right and went really well with the potatoes and salad. We tend to like our potatoes a little more crispy tbh, but they were very flavorful. We recommend cutting up the tomatoes in the salad so that you get that acidic burst in every bite! Quiche Gruyere Next up, we tried the Wood-fired Butchers Steak with Polenta, Pomodorracio Tomatoes, Roasted Onions, Wild Mushroom Conserva, and Watercress. Butcher’s Steak The steak has a beautiful char from the grill and it’s extremely tender! This is a hearty breakfast option we can definitely get behind. Butchers Steak The mushroom conserva and the polenta with onions and tomatoes is amazing, too. Everything goes together so well and there’s some crunchy salt on top to really set off the whole dish. Finally, we finished our entree course with the Sour Cream Waffles with Roasted Apples, Chantilly, Orange-Maple Syrup, and choice of Smoked Bacon, Ham, Sausage, or Plant-based Sausage. We chose sausage and it was yummy, but nothing special. The REAL star of the dish was the orange-maple syrup. It literally might be our new favorite thing! Sour Cream Waffles The waffles themselves are a super sweet treat, and they’re soft but not mushy. The apples on top are sweet and easy to eat, so cooked just right. AND the chantilly has an almond and orange flavor and is an awesome topping for the dish. If you like a sweeter breakfast, this one’s for you! Sour Cream Waffles Now, on the nonalcoholic side, we gave the Riviera Resort Blend French Press a shot (How could we not?). This blend was developed by Joffrey’s and it feels super fancy to have the french press brought to your table. Riviera Resort Blend French Press AND, guess what! We found a DFB FOOD HACK with the coffee! Try it with a little bit of that orange-maple syrup stirred in. We know, we know, syrup in coffee?? Trust us, it is so so so good. Overall Breakfast à la Art with Mickey & Friends is a fun experience and is a great choice for families looking for a fancier meal option, but not wanting to keep the kids interested during a lengthy fine dining dinner. It’s also a great choice if you’re looking for some seriously gourmet breakfast options! Topolino’s Terrace Our first impression of Topolino’s Terrace is that it’s a beautiful space with sweeping views, and it makes for an awesome way to guarantee face time with the ever so popular Mickey, Minnie, Donald, and Daisy. Plus, the food is delicious and filling! But Topolino’s is definitely a pricier option. Breakfast at Topolino’s is $41 for adults and $24 for children 3-9 years old so the prices here are no joke. It’s similarly priced to the expensive Chef Mickey’s in Disney’s Contemporary Resort, where you also get to meet Goofy AND have an all-you-care-to-eat meal. Currently the only discount at Topolino’s is for Disney Vacation Club members. So this is more of a splurge than some other character dining options around Disney World. Plus, breakfast doesn’t come with the added benefit of fireworks viewing from the rooftop, so dinner might be a more budget-busting-worthy experience. That said, everything we ate was delicious and service was good. Maybe it wouldn’t be an all-the-time choice for us with those prices, but it is a wonderful experience if you happen to be staying at Riviera. Will we be back to Topolino’s? You bet! Especially because we HAVE to try out the dinner menu tonight! If the character breakfast sounds like something you’d like, you can make reservations up to 180 days in advance online or by calling (407) WDW-DINE. Click here for EVERYTHING we’re seeing at Riviera Resort RIGHT NOW! Will you be snagging a reservation for breakfast at Topolino’s? Tell us in the comments! The newly refurbished Autopia zoomed to life this weekend at Disneyland Paris with a new look and feel – and a few surprises to delight guests! The vehicles have been beautifully repainted with unique color schemes on each car and the track has been re-done. Even the coils reaching toward the sky can be seen in a new metallic color. In fact, keep an eye on the rooftop and you might just catch a light show which tells the story of Discoveryland. Behind the scenes, the attraction is also sporting 1,500 new LED lights in place of projectors which reduces the electric power use from 450 kilowatts to 42 kilowatts! On top of a major energy saving, this lighting system now changes colors before your very eyes. In the video below, artistic director Tracy Eck shares more about her team’s work to update this classic attraction which has its own unique theme at Disneyland Paris, imagining the future as seen by the visionaries of the past! Today’s Disney Doodle by artist Ashley Taylor imagines what Ariel and her sisters would do if they had the chance to visit Epcot during the holidays. According to Ashley, this group of songstress sisters would likely head to a place where they could join in on the sounds of the season. “Ariel and her sisters love to sing!” Ashley said. “It’s easy to imagine them signing up for the Candlelight Choir at Epcot.” View the full article

We just gotta duck over to Disneyland for a quick sec! Brb in a jingle! Mint Julep Bar That’s because the Candy Cane Beignets are calling and we MUST ANSWER! Hold the rest of our calls! We gotta hit up that little magical window in Disneyland’s New Orleans Square A-S-A-P! The Mint Julep Bar’s little Mickey-shaped pockets of fried dough dusted with powdered sugar are delicious enough in their own right — in fact, they’re high up there with some of our most favorite snacks to have while at the Disney parks! And for the holidays, the classic Mickey Beignets often undergo a seasonal overlay like some of Disneyland’s attractions— and thus Candy Cane Beignets were born! Candy Cane Beignets As for Candy Cane Beignet quantities (remember: the more the merrier!), you can go with either 3-pieces for $5.49 or 6-pieces for $8.99. Behold! The glory of that is the Candy Cane Mickey Beignets in all their pepperminty splendor! Candy Cane Beignets A side of chocolate dipping sauce will set you back $1 — which is totally worth it, in our opinion! We like having something to cut through all that peppermint flavor! Candy Cane Beignets And the Candy Cane Beignets are most certainly PEPPERMINTY! The texture of the crushed up candy cane also lends a little crunch to every bite! Candy Cane Beignets If you’re a peppermint purist and enjoy your minty endeavors straight up, the Candy Cane Beignets are definitely great on their own. Here at DFB though, we’re dunkers. And dunkers GOTTA DUNK! (What can I say? We’re saucy.) The chocolate sauce added some nice richness to balance out the sweetness of all that candy cane and confectioners’ sugar! Candy Cane Beignets And don’t forget you can mobile order your Mickey Beignets from the Mint Julep Bar instead of waiting in line! Don’t be shy about also grabbing a Cranberry Julep to wash it all down while you’re at it (read our review of the Mint Julep Bar’s mocktail HERE!). Happy holidays, DFB friends! It’s the merriest time of the year, and Walt Disney World keeps finding ways of surprising us for the holidays — this time with SECRET holiday drinks at Disney’s Coronado Springs Resort! Let’s investigate… Coronado Springs Entrance While visiting the beautiful Disney’s Coronado Springs Resort, we found not 1, not 2, but 3 (!!!) secret holiday drinks. We love for our DFB readers to be in the know, so we’re ready to spill all of our newfound secrets! Three Bridges Bar & Grill at Villa Del Lago Holiday Gran Gin Tonic The first top-secret holiday drink we found is the Holiday Gran Gin Tonic at Three Bridges Bar & Grill. This holiday concoction is made with Tanqueray Gin, House-made Saffron-Orange Tonic, Soda Water, Cranberries, and Rosemary. It is $14.00. Holiday Gran Gin Tonic This drink blew us away when the Cast Member first brought it out, not only because of the look of it but also because of its strong scent. It smelled like a Christmas tree! In fact, the Cast Member told us that it would taste like one too. Huh? We had never tried a Christmas tree, so we weren’t sure what to expect. Holiday Gran Gin Tonic Well, friends, she was right. This cocktail tasted just like it smelled. It was pine-like, fragrant and very herbal. But even more surprising is that we LOVED it! Oh, Christmas tree… Holiday Gran Gin Tonic It is one of the most unique drinks we’ve ever tried in “the World”! Because it is very aromatic, we thought the flavor of it would be overpowering. However, the drink itself is light-bodied and not overpowering at all! The saffron-orange tonic is prevalent, yet balances out the gin. Holiday Gran Gin Tonic The star of the show is the rosemary, which gives this drink its unique, fragrant profile and flavor. This cocktail is great for Guests who are fans of trendy mixology and fashion cocktails — or for those looking for a BOLD twist on a classic favorite! Holiday Red Sangria We found a second “classified” holiday drink at Three Bridges Bar & Grill. The Holiday Red Sangria is made with Garnacha Wine, Magdala Naranjas del Mediterráneo Orange Liqueur, Orange, and Cinnamon. It is $13.00. Holiday Red Sangria This drink is their standard red sangria with cinnamon added to it. We didn’t think this would make a big difference, but it did. As soon as we took our first sip, we were immediately able to smell and taste the cinnamon, which offers a nice “twist” on a fruit-forward red sangria. Holiday Red Sangria The sangria is very rich, which you can tell by its opaque color. The orange flavor from the oranges and Magdala Naranjas del Mediterráneo Orange Liqueur creates a lovely, citrusy contrast against the cinnamon and red wine. Holiday Red Sangria We think the addition of the cinnamon was a nice touch, but it’s still a fairly simple drink which we believe will please most guests who don’t enjoy drinks with too many ingredients. If you like to keep it simple, love sangria, and want to savor every well-balanced ingredient in your cocktail of choice, this may be a great option for you! Barcelona Lounge Cranberry and Blood Orange Sangria In the gorgeous Gran Destino Tower, we found a third secret holiday drink — a cranberry and blood orange sangria. We discovered it in the Barcelona Lounge. However, a Cast Member spilled a little tea and informed us that this secret holiday drink is also available in the Dahlia Lounge located on the 16th floor. Cranberry Blood Orange Sangria This delectable libation was created with a Satinela Wine, Magdala Naranjas del Mediterráneo Orange Liqueur, Orange, and Cranberry Juice. It is $13.00. Cranberry Blood Orange Sangria This was our favorite drink of the day! The Satinela Wine is very similar to a Riesling. It is light, sweet, and refreshing. Cranberry Blood Orange Sangria The combination of the Magdala Naranjas del Mediterráneo Orange Liqueur, blood orange, and cranberry juice added some tartness to the sweet Satinela, but we still consider this a medium-sweet sangria. Cranberry Blood Orange Sangria Overall, this sangria was flavorful, refreshing, and light-bodied! Cheers to that, Barcelona Lounge! This drink definitely made us feel MERRY. Remember, these drinks likely won’t be printed on any menus, but you CAN get them…you just have to ask! We hope you’ve enjoyed this round-up of secret holiday drinks at Disney’s Coronado Springs Resort. Stay tuned as we spy with our little eyes even more holiday goodies at Walt Disney World. Check out our other FAVORITE secret menu items in Disney World HERE! Have you discovered any of these secret holiday drinks at Disney’s Coronado Springs Resort? If you’re looking for a diverse range of souvenirs and gifts to remember your trip to Disney World, the Marketplace Co-Op in Disney Springs has got you covered! Marketplace Co-Op You see, this location is actually comprised of several smaller shops including D-Tech on Demand for all your techie need; Disney Tails, suppliers of fine pet goods; Disney Centerpiece for home decor; stylish menswear from The Trophy Room; and two of its most popular spots, the WonderGround Gallery and The Dress Shop at Cherry Tree Lane! But recently, the Marketplace Co-Op has undergone a MAJOR transformation! What’s happened to the Marketplace Co-Op in Disney Springs? Well, we’ll tell ya! The Dress Shop at Cherry Tree Lane is now where WonderGround Gallery used to be! The Dress Shop That’s right! WonderGround Gallery former digs (in the middle-ish part of the building across from Disney Tails) is now where you’ll now find The Dress Shop! The Dress Shop In case you need your memory jogged, The Dress Shop is that gorgeous boutique where you can find vintage-inspired dresses, jewelry, and accessories along with some exclusive Disney Parks Dooney and Bourke bags! The Dress Shop And now that The Dress Shop has relocated, where did WonderGround Gallery go? Wonderground Gallery Don’t worry! WonderGround Gallery is still under the same roof — they’ve just swapped places with The Dress Shop! So if you’re looking for WonderGround Gallery, head straight to the back of the Marketplace Co-Op! WonderGround Gallery We asked a Cast Member about the reason for the switch-up and they told us the artwork was becoming too cramped in WonderGround Gallery’s former location, so they needed a bigger place. WonderGround Gallery And since many of the items you can buy at The Dress Shop are found in various other locations in Disney World (such as Uptown Jewelers in the Magic Kingdom), they decided to make the move to accommodate WonderGround’s unique selection of artwork and apparel. WonderGround Gallery We’re excited to see WonderGround Gallery’s popularity warrant the need to move into a bigger space! We’ve been big fans of artists such as Jerrod Maruyama (creator of Hipster Mickey!) and Anne Shen — just to name a few! But seriously! One of our favorite items to take home from a trip to Disney is a new piece of art to hang on our walls! WonderGround Gallery Be sure to stop by the Marketplace Co-Op and see the new arrangement for yourself! Are you excited to see the WonderGround Gallery expand in Disney Springs?
