Two weeks after stuffing our tummies with Thanksgiving turkey, we’re getting prepped for a Christmas feast! Disney’s Contemporary Resort While we’ve spotted some Christmas menus at restaurants like Raglan Road and Terralina Crafted Italian, it looks like there’s another holiday meal being cooked up over in Disney World! The Wave at Disney’s Contemporary Resort announced their Christmas Day Special and it sounds, in a word, YUM! The Wave On December 25th, 2019, in addition to their regular Dinner Menu, The Wave will be offering a Christmas Day Special of Carved Prime Rib with mashed potatoes, sautéed green beans, and au jus. The Wave Christmas Day Special Menu ©Disney The Christmas Day Special will be available for $34, and can be ordered in addition to the restaurant’s regular Dinner Menu. It certainly seems like a feast worth celebrating on Christmas day! You can check out the rest of the menu details here! Will you be dining at Disney World for the holidays? The Play Disney Parks app is a pretty fun addition to the parks! Play Disney Parks App From letting you aid the Resistance (or side with the First Order) in Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge in Disney World, to playing a Matterhorn Mountaineer in line for Matterhorn Bobsleds, the app has really helped guests to be a part of the story of their favorite characters in the Disney parks. And now it looks like the Play Disney Parks app will be helping us go on an adventure with our favorite archaeologist! We previously announced that the Indiana Jones Adventure would be joining the Disney Play App, and now we know in what capacity! “Indiana Jones Adventure – The Gifts of Mara” will be the newest feature added to the Play Disney Parks app — and it’s a real blast from the past! Indiana Jones Adventure If you visited Indiana Jones Adventure when it first opened in Disneyland in 1995, you might remember the decoder card that each visiting guest received. This decoder card helped guests translate and decipher the “Mara-glyphics” throughout the line as they waited to board the ride. Now, that decoder is back – in digital-form! Indiana Jones Adventure – The Gift of Mara ©Disney The new interactive feature will allow guests to use the app while in line for Indiana Jones Adventure, to “decode the ancient glyphs, along with some new symbols and codes that have been added throughout the queue, to piece together the legends of Mara”. Each part of the code that you translate will reveal part of a map – once you have completed the map, you might just receive a message from Mara! Indiana Jones Adventure – The Gift of Mara ©Disney We are SO excited to go on this adventure for our guy Indy, and think the new addition will have us actually looking forward to standing in line! To experience “Indiana Jones Adventure – The Gifts of Mara” for yourself, make sure you have the Play Disney Parks app downloaded for when you’re standing in the queue for the Indiana Jones Adventure! This feature should be available to enjoy NOW! Learn more about the achievements you can unlock with the Play Disney Parks app here! Welcome, my friends! Who’s ready for some nostalgia? When Indiana Jones Adventure first opened back in 1995, guests would receive a decoder card that helped them translate and decipher the Mara-glyphics hidden throughout the queue as they waited to board their troop transports and head out on their adventure. I’m excited to share that as of today, this is no longer a memory of the past – the fan-favorite decoder is back – and with more features and fun than ever before – with a new digital version, available in the Play Disney Parks mobile app!* The queue for Indiana Jones Adventure has always been an interactive experience, allowing guests to take part in the storyline from the moment they head towards the Temple of the Forbidden Eye. The Play Disney Parks app, which was created to allow guests to interact with Disney Parks and the environment like never before, will take this adventure to the next level with the latest in-queue experience called “Indiana Jones Adventure – The Gifts of Mara.” As guests explore this game within the app, they will be able to once again decode the ancient glyphs, along with some new symbols and codes that have been added throughout the queue, to piece together the legends of Mara. Each translated code will reveal a single portion of a map. Guests can complete the maps to receive digital achievements, and finish a set in order to piece together a special message from Mara herself. Take a look at this video, to discover a bit more about how “Indiana Jones Adventure – The Gifts of Mara” works: “Indiana Jones Adventure – the Gifts of Mara” is the latest in-queue experience to be added to the Play Disney Parks app, which brings unique in-park experiences and family-friendly activities to life here at Disneyland Resort, as well as at Walt Disney World Resort. On the app, guests also love engaging with other experiences including the Star Wars: Datapad inside Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge, Disney trivia, earning unique digital achievements and more, all of which bring the surrounding Disney Parks experiences to life. If you haven’t already, be sure to download the Play Disney Parks app from the App Store or Google Play today, and keep your eyes peeled for the secret Mara-glyphics to decode! *Message, data and roaming rates may apply. Availability subject to handset limitations, and features may vary by handset, service provider or otherwise. Coverage and app stores not available everywhere. If you’re under 18, get your parents’ permission first. Some features require separate theme park admission. As wonderful as Christmastime is at Disney World — with all the sights, sounds, parades, fireworks and FLAVORS, the holidays are also a time of giving! Disney Springs’ Days of Christmas And this Disney Springs restaurant has teamed up with a local charity to give back to folks who are feeling the generous spirit of the season! In partnership with XL1067 Orlando’s #1 Hits Station, Wolfgang Puck Bar and Grill has a dropbox for their annual Christmas toy drive. The donations they receive will go to www.babydj.org, an organization that gifts the toys to central Florida families who otherwise wouldn’t be able to afford them. Photo Courtesy of @wgpgorlando Currently, you can bring an unwrapped toy to Disney Spring’s Wolfgang Puck Bar and Grill in Disney World. And to thank you for your generous donation, you’ll receive a free cup of hot cocoa and a half-priced app! Wolfgang Puck Bar and Grill With so many shops located in Disney Springs, it should be relatively easy to pop in, purchase a toy, and drop it off at Wolfgang Puck! And to reward yourself for being awesome, be sure to swing by Jock Lindsey’s Hangar Bar to see their holiday overlay and sample some seasonal eats and drinks! We’re coming up on the New Year and that means that colder weather is coming! Holiday Tree of Life Awakenings The winter season brings alllll sorts of fun to Disney World! We’ve had a blast at Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party and other holiday festivities and we can’t wait to ring in the new year in the most magical ways around. But, there are some parts of winter at Disney that aren’t as welcome. One example? Those pesky seasonal ride closures! Find out which two Disney World attractions will be closed in early 2020! Water rides are certainly a little high maintenance, and they’re a bit cold in the winter! So, it’s no surprise that we’re seeing the usual winter maintenances coming soon for Kali River Rapids in Animal Kingdom and for Splash Mountain in Magic Kingdom. “A Frozen Holiday Wish” at the Magic Kingdom According to the Walt Disney World calendar for Kali River Rapids, the attraction will be closed from January 6 to March 21. Of course, this could change but we can definitely expect to see a significant closure for refurbishments! Kali River Rapids As for Splash Mountain, you can say “See you later!” to Br’er Rabbit from January 6 to February 27. Splash Mountain No worries though! These closures are as-usual for winter months at Disney, so we can expect to be back on our fave water rides again in the Spring. Just remember, “You may get wet!” Click here to check out this week’s update of Disney World refurb closures! Sad to see these two attractions go for a little while? There’s no denying that Disney really knows how to hit it out of the park with innovation and exciting trends. Cinderella’s Castle Disney World But, what about some of Disney’s ideas that didn’t work as well? From unpopular color trends to divisive treats, we’re taking a look at a few weird Disney ideas that didn’t quite catch on. 1. FuelRods Price Increase This was a trend SO divisive that it ended in a lawsuit!! Back in October, Disney announced that they were increasing the price to exchange FuelRods, which are a portable charger that you can buy around the parks for $30, and (until then) had been available to exchange for free whenever you needed it. The proposed change would have increased this from free to $3 to swap. Swapping Fee Sticker The news was met with outrage from the Disney community, and the parks quickly switched back to the original, complimentary swapping. This was one Disney trend that fans nipped in the bud FAST! Read more about the FuelRod fee reversal here! 2. Dapper Yellow Color Trend Don’t get us wrong – this sunshine-y color definitely had its upside. The striking shade of Dapper Yellow brings an immediate smile to your face, and there’s no arguing that wearing it makes it easier for your party to track you down in a busy park! Dapper Yellow Spirit Jerseys That being said, the eye-catching color was a bit too vibrant for some Disney fans, which might be why the color trend didn’t catch on quite as well as others, such as Millennial Pink. What, no one wanted to look like a Disney World banana?? But, while Dapper Yellow might have been a miss, it didn’t take long for Disney to bring about another slew of hits. We still have serious heart eyes for the current color of the moment, Arendelle Aqua! Read more about the short-lived Dapper Yellow HERE! 3. Automated PhotoPass Photos This one should come as no surprise! Not long ago, Disney tried yet again to get fans on board with automated cameras at meet-and-greets. Instead of having your photos taken by a PhotoPass Cast Member, certain meet-and-greets became a photo booth of sorts, placing an automated camera in a themed box that would take a few shots for you automatically. Themed Photo Box in Royal Summerhus Problem was, so many great candid shots were lost and no one could really tell when pics were being taken! This was one change that was met with some fiery feedback, and it wasn’t too long before human photographers were brought back on the scene at many locations. We can’t say we’re too upset that the automated photographers didn’t catch on – we love having Cast Members around to capture the most magical shots! Learn more about the outrage that was Automated PhotoPass 4. (Most of) The Designer Ears We firmly believe you can never have enough Minnie Ears. But, when it comes to designer Minnie Ears, we can understand why the trend hasn’t quite caught on. While we’ve swooned over designs from the likes of Heidi Klum, Alex and Ani, and COACH (just to name a few), we can’t deny that the price tags can often come with a bit of sticker shock! Heidi Klum Ears The intricately beautiful designs are totally Instagram-worthy, but the high price tag also makes us a bit more wary to wear them around the parks for the day. The first designer ears had double-digit price tags, but once they skyrocketed into the hundreds, we were shook. With many more design collaborations ahead, we’re interested to see what happens with this trend in the future. If we do ever decide to hop on board the designer ears trend, we’ll just make sure not to wear them on Splash Mountain! While most ears haven’t sold out, there is a very notable recent exception. The new Coach ears sold out incredibly fast (6 hours!!), even with their steep price tag. Coach purses sell for hundreds of dollars and have a slew of devoted fans, so this wasn’t TOO shocking. So does that mean the RIGHT brand or artist really can drive the sales enough that guests will be willing to shell out a LOT of cash for these babies? Time will tell! We’ll stick to our standard priced pairs for now, TY. Read more about the super trendy SOLD OUT Coach ears here! 5. Icing on Pretzels (and Other Unappetizing Treats) In theory, icing on anything doesn’t sound like a bad plan. But, the actual presentation? Well, that can turn into a bit of a mess. Case in point is the Pumpkin Spice Pretzel dipped in orange icing that appeared (and disappeared…then reappeared) this holiday season at Thirsty River Bar and Trek Snacks in Animal Kingdom (a treat that has quite the mystery surrounding it, if you want to read further). Pumpkin Spice Pretzel While this dessert is actually delicious, the poor Cast Members tasked with putting the icing on this pretzel truly are in for a hard task each and every day! It’s just impossible to get it to look quite right, and unfortunately, the end result looks a bit unappetizing! It looks like plastic cheese attacked a poor, innocent pretzel! The trend for Instagrammable treats at Disney is strong, but ones like this are understandably just not catching on! Read more about the saddest Disney pretzel here 6. Mac & Cheese with Gummies We are BIG fans of gummies, so it hurts us to say this, but….they simply don’t belong on EVERYTHING. Take, for example, the Pumpkin Chipotle Mac & Cheese. Or really any sort of mac and cheese… Pumpkin Chipotle Mac & Cheese This Halloween offering included cavatappi pasta mac & cheese topped with a pumpkin cheese sauce, cranberries, pumpkin seeds, and…. gummy worms?! While we understand the creepy, crawly topping (and, in some cases, have found it works quite well!), this is one we just cannot understand. Unfortunately, it didn’t add anything good to an otherwise flavorful dish, and this is a case where gummy bears were not “slimy, yet satisfying”. This isn’t the only savory treat Disney has attempted to put gummies on this year. We’ve also seen them on burgers! Read more about this spooky mac and cheese here! 7. Sporks Ok, we WISH we could say sporks caught on in Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge but…not so much. Docking Bay 7 Spork Galaxy’s Edge in Disneyland and Disney World attempted to introduce the coolest looking sporks as the eating utensil of Batuu, but guests were a little TOO here for it. Guests immediately began pocketing the unique sporks and saving them as a souvenir or worse, selling them online for a hefty price tag. We enjoyed them while they lasted. Read more about how a few guests ruined the sporks for everyone here! What will be the next Disney trends that just don’t stick? Disney is always upping their game with new unique food trends and merchandise so it surely won’t be too long til the “next big thing” hits the parks and we’ll be ready for the hits and the misses! Which Disney ideas have been your favorite, and which were you fine to see fade away? Let us know in the comments below! There’s no doubt that there are many sights during the holidays at Walt Disney World Resort that elicit heartfelt reactions of awe, wonder, and joy. From Cinderella Castle resplendent in all her winter glory, Main Street charmingly bedecked for the holidays, or the communal grandeur of the “Candlelight Processional” at Epcot, the resort seems to overflow with seasonal visual delights for all ages. I’m sure we all have our favorites. For me, nothing beats securing a curb seat and anticipating the incredible sight of numerous marching toy soldiers coming down Main Street U.S.A. as part of “Mickey’s Once Upon a Christmastime Parade” in the Magic Kingdom. Seeing those colorful synchronized soldiers from the vantage point of the curb not only provides a great view but definitely makes you feel like a little kid again. I wonder, though, how many of my fellow guests on Main Street recognize (or understand the origins of) those iconic marching soldiers? Are you curious? If so, settle in and set your Mickey Mouse watch back 58 years. If you were a Disney fan back in 1961 you most likely would have been a fixture at your neighborhood movie theater (this is all speculation on my part – I wasn’t even born yet!). Throughout the year you would have enjoyed such Walt Disney screen hits as “101 Dalmatians” (#1 box-office winner of 1961), “The Absent-Minded Professor” (#5), and “The Parent Trap” (#6). For the holiday season you may have topped off your Disney fandom for the year by seeing Walt Disney’s screen adaptation of the popular 1903 Victor Herbert operetta, “Babes in Toyland” (the Walt Disney Studios’ first true film musical). Since its debut in 1961 the film has become a Christmastime audience favorite and can currently be enjoyed on Disney+. “Babes in Toyland” was nominated for two Academy Awards (Best Costume Design and Best Scoring of a Motion Picture). It stars Disney Legends Annette Funicello (“The Mickey Mouse Club”), Ed Wynn (best-known as Uncle Albert in “Mary Poppins”) and Tommy Kirk (“Old Yeller,” “The Shaggy Dog,” “Swiss Family Robinson,” etc.), along with Ray Bolger (famed as the Scarecrow in “The Wizard of Oz”) and pop singer Tommy Sands. A highlight of “Babes in Toyland” is the expert stop-motion animation work of veteran Disney artists/animators/Imagineers and eventual Disney Legends, Bill Justice and X. Atencio. Their primary contribution to the film is my favorite part of the movie – a whimsical battle between the villainous Barnaby (Ray Bolger), the heroic Tom Piper (Tommy Sands) and a work room full of animated toys. Today, “Babes in Toyland” lives on at Disney Parks through its fanciful legion of parading soldiers (long before the rise of storm troopers). However, you might wonder how the toy soldiers made the leap from the big screen to Main Street? In the early 1960s Bill Justice was tasked with designing an all-new Christmastime parade for Disneyland which showcased an incredible array of Disney film classics and characters. Justice’s design efforts resulted in “Fantasy on Parade,” which premiered on December 18, 1965, with Walt and Lillian Disney in attendance. The parade afforded Bill Justice a reunion of sorts with the iconic marching toy soldiers he helped produce for “Babes in Toyland.” In designing the parade, Justice created an amazing corps of soldiers that performed choreographed drills and played instruments while marching to, what else, “March of the Toys”! Now, more than five decades after their initial debut in both “Babes in Toyland” and “Fantasy on Parade,” the marching toy soldiers have become a symbol of, and synonymous with, Disney holiday celebrations. Accruing countless parade miles down Main Street, U.S.A. in California and Florida, they have also been featured in almost all of the TV specials through the years highlighting the Holidays at Disneyland Resort and Walt Disney World Resort. This season, when you enjoy a performance of “Mickey’s Once Upon A Christmastime Parade” in Magic Kingdom Park (or “A Christmas Fantasy Parade” at Disneyland park), you’ll be witnessing a Disney tradition marching before your very eyes – a tradition that goes back five incredible decades and two generations of smiles and memories. It’s officially the holidays! That means time with friends, family, and (our fav!) FOOD! Main Street Bakery Cinnamon Roll with Extra Icing! And one recipe we constantly get requests for more info on from you, our dear readers, is the long lost Main Street Bakery Cinnamon Roll (it was SO GOOD!). Well, we’re going to show you how to bake like a BOSS this holiday and whip these up for your family on Christmas morning! We PROMISE…it’s not that hard! (Seriously!!) For those unfamiliar, before Starbucks took over the Main Street Bakery in the Magic Kingdom in 2013, one of the star attractions was the warm, gooey, sweet, practically-perfect cinnamon roll the size of your head served there! We loved it so much we practically wrote love sonnets about it. It was THAT GOOD. And while a great version of it can still be found at Gaston’s Tavern, it was just never quite the same for us. Read more about the OG Main Street Cinnamon Roll vs Gaston’s version HERE! We’ve shared the recipe for the original Main Street Bakery Cinnamon Roll but what if you’re NOT Betty Crocker in the kitchen? We got yo’ backs! We just so happen to know our way around a kitchen pretty well and we’re going to walk you step by step through making these beauties and even share some BOMB tips to make your foray into baking a surefire hit. Brace yourself for the adoring compliments from your family when they’re wowed by your sweet skillz and let’s get baking! TIP: if you’re looking to have this for breakfast in the morning, you’re going to want to do the first steps the DAY BEFORE. Yup, you can do the hard work the day or night before then wake up, pull these out the fridge to bake and look like you just effortlessly dominated breakfast. Ain’t nobody got time to be waking up at the crack of dawn to proof cinnamon rolls. Sleep is our friend. Cinnamon Rolls Recipe: Walt Disney World’s Main Street Bakery Yield: 8 or so MEGA Disney World sized rolls Ingredients: Cinnamon Rolls 1/2 cup warm water 2 packages yeast 2 tablespoons sugar 1 (3 1/2 ounce) package instant vanilla pudding 2 cups milk 1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted 2 large eggs, beaten 1 teaspoon salt 8 cups all-purpose flour 1 cup unsalted butter, melted 2 cups brown sugar 2 tablespoons cinnamon Cream Cheese Frosting 1 8-ounce package cream cheese, softened (room temperature) 1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened 1 teaspoon pure vanilla extract 3 cups powdered sugar 2 tablespoons milk Process: First up, let’s gather all our ingredients… Ingredients First, in a small bowl mix your warm water, sugar, and yeast. (We only had rapid-rise/bread machine yeast, which works the same here with one tiny exception we’ll share later) Yeast Mixture (yum?) In a big bowl or a stand mixer, make the pudding according to the instructions of the box (2 cups cold milk and the pudding mix. Mix til it thickens up.) We used French Vanilla pudding because pro tip: French Vanilla in pudding=more vanilla-y flavor! Regular vanilla works just fine too. Mixin Up Dat Pudding In goes the melted unsalted butter (YES unsalted. It matters. Use the right butter, guys.)… Melted Butter …2 beaten eggs and salt. Whip that all up til well mixed. Eggs It’s gonna look a little thick and lumpyish now. That’s ok! Lumpy Pudding Now, dump in your oh-so-appetizing yeast mixture and give it a good mix. Add Yeast Now you’re going to want to add all 8 cups of flour into the wet stuff gradually. This is easiest in a stand mixer but if you’re doing it by hand, we recommend a sturdy spoon to stir. With our mixer we started with the paddle attachment. We’re going to add the flour in 4 batches, mixing well each time. Round 1… Round 1 of Flour Not too bad. Little lumpy. Round 2… Round 2 of Flour Ok, getting a little thick here. Round 3. Round 3 of Flour At this point do as we say, not as we do — if using a mixer, switch to your dough hook. If you’re rockin’ and rollin’ by hand, you’re good to keep going. Get the rest of the flour in there. THIKK Dough We gave in and switched to our dough hook. Note, this makes a LOT of dough, so even in a mixer, it’s a lot for it to handle. Ours kept creeping up over the top of the dough hook. Baking is messy guys…but worth it! Shaggy Dough Your dough is going to be a hot mess right now. Shaggy and lumpy. Hang in there! If using a mixer keep going! It’ll get silkier as it mixes. If using a spoon, go ahead and dump your dough onto a floured surface and start kneading it with your hands til it gets smoother (it’ll take 5 or so minutes). Way Smoother At this point, using a mixer or your hands, you’re going to want to knead the dough by hand the last step of the way. Flour is your friend here, but don’t go crazy. On a Floured Surface If you’re new to kneading, just get the hardest part of the palm of your hand and smush into the dough pushing away from you. Fold it over itself and repeat til it feels nice and soft. Kneading When it’s ready it will look roughly like this. Finished Dough Now, grab a bowl and oil it up (cooking spray or olive oil are all great choices). Plop your dough it and cover it with plastic wrap. This baby is ready to rise! Ready to Rise! Now here’s where your yeast matters — if using regular, active dry yeast, you want to let this rest in a barely warm spot (if your oven has a Proof setting, that will be your new BFF) until the dough doubles in size (roughly. Ain’t gonna be perfect here!). The dough will rise, you’ll deflate it by punching it down with your hands, then let it rise again. You’re letting the yeast do its thing and get the dough all puffy. If you cheated like we did and used Rapid Rise/bread machine yeast, you skip this first rise and just do one rise (so no rise, punch it down, rise again. Just rise and done. We’re all bout them shortcuts. Also — it was late and we didn’t want to go to the grocery store. ) While you’ve got some time to kill, let’s make the cinnamon filling… TIP: The original recipe says to melt butter, brush it on the dough the sprinkle cinnamon and sugar on top. MESS CITY. We’re talkin’ sloppy rolls. You want to bake these like a pro, mix the filling into a paste. First dump your brown sugar, cinnamon, and room temperature butter in a bowl (if you forgot to get your butter room temp…it happens…pop it in the microwave for NO MORE than 10 seconds). Filling Ingredients Give it a good stir. It’ll be thick, but that’s ok. Mixed Filling Set this aside til you need it. Back to our dough… Oh Hai There Puffy Dough It’s hard to see from the pictures, but after a couple of hours (it took about 2 for us) that dough is about doubled. Regular yeast users, smash the dough down, re-cover it and wait again. It’ll rise faster the second time. Yeast cheaters like us move on to the next step — rolling out the dough. Puffy Dough Ready to Roll Flour your surface and grab your rolling pin. Roll the dough roughly into a 34×21 inch rectangle. This doesn’t have to be perfect, you can eyeball it. Rolled Dough Grab your filling mix and plop it around the rectangle as evenly as you can. Filling Mix on Dough Grab a spatula or knife (or your hands) and spread the mix as best you can. It’ll work its magic while it bakes so it doesn’t have to be perfect. Spread Out Filling Now we roll! Grab a short side and roll this baby up! Rolled Up TIP: You weren’t going to cut these with a knife were you? Go to your bathroom and grab that floss you pretend you use instead! Trust us… Floss Time Slip the floss under the roll and cross the ends over the top and pull. Voila! Perfectly sliced, no smushed rolls here! Floss Cutting Look how pretty! Cinnamon Roll Keep going til the roll is all sliced. You’ll want to space out the cuts about every 2 inches. Cutting the Rolls Spray a 9×13 inch baking pan (metal, ceramic, glass…it all works fine here!) with cooking spray or rub down with oil. Place your rolls evenly around. (We had 2 that didn’t fit, so we cut them in quarters. Nothing wrong with that! Smaller nibbles! ) Rolls in Pan At this point, you’re done for the night! Cover the rolls with plastic wrap and pop the tray in the fridge. Get some sleep! If you’re looking to keep going, just skip the trip to the fridge. Covered Rolls TIP: Grab a stick of unsalted butter and leave it out on your counter overnight for the frosting. You want perfect frosting, don’t you? Leave This Out. You’ll Thank Yourself in the Morning. If you let them hang out in the fridge overnight, don’t be shocked when you wake up if they’ve puffed a little since you last saw them — that’s normal. Next Morning It’s time to let your rolls warm up and rise before you bake them! If you have that Proof setting on your oven, use it! If not, leave these out room temp to warm up. We popped ours in our oven on Proof and about an hour later were met with puffed, ready to bake rolls. They should all be touching. Ready to Bake Preheat your oven to 350 degrees. When hot, pop the rolls in! Depending on your oven, they can take anywhere from 15-30 mins. Ours were perfect at 25 minutes. Baked Rolls YUM. But what’s missing? Oh…yea: FROSTING! Since you left your butter out like we told you to (you did, didn’t you?!) dump the stick of unsalted butter, a package of cream cheese, and 3 cups of powdered sugar, and vanilla extract in your mixer or a bowl. Frosting Ingredients Whip this up with your mixer or by hand with a spoon or whisk. What Dreams are Made of DON’T EAT IT YET. Stop! Put the spoon down! Yummmmmmmm Only thing left to do: frost the warm cinnamon rolls! Off to a Good Start… Use. It. All. Need More Frosting! Perfect. Oh My. Now, show your family what a pro-pastry chef you are and enjoy the adoration. You. Are. The. BOMB! YESSSSS The result? SO moist and deliciously fluffy. The frosting is just cream-cheesy enough and oozes down evverrrywhere in the rolls! So Moist Close your eyes, take a bite and pretend you’re on Main Street, U.S.A. WORTH IT! Yeasted rolls can be SCARY for newer bakers but we promise, follow the steps above and you’ll be shocked when you have a HUGE plate of perfect cinnamon rolls in front of you in no time. Ok, not “no time”…they do take a bit of work, but so worth it and your family will love them (if you share!). Have you made the Main Street Bakery Cinnamon Rolls before? What did you think? If you’ve got a sweet tooth, you might want to listen up! Main Street, U.S.A. Today we spotted some mischevious and uber yummy new gummy treats! That’s right, over at Main Street Confectionary, there’s a bunch of new candy courtesy of Goofy’s Candy Company and we just HAD to try a few of the new gummy choices! It’s hard to think of a place more full of sugary goodness than Main Street Confectionary, so it comes as a little surprise that these tasty new treats have found a home here. BONUS! They feature our fave mischievous blue alien. We snagged two of the new Stitch Extreme candy flavors! We saw two fun flavors that we just had to try — Stitch Extreme Sweet Heat and Stitch Extreme Sours. Stitch Candy We started off with the Extreme Sweet Heat which we were REALLY excited about! Sweet and a little spicy? Sign us up. These guys are described as Spicy Mango Gummies. The shape is an interesting choice since it kind of looks like a bean. Maybe they were going for the shape of a mango? Stitch Candy Whatever they were going for, these things are YUMMY. They’re super aromatic so you can smell them right when you open the bag. When trying them out we found that they actually have a nice amount of heat and a yummy sweetness to them. The sweetness hits you right after the heat, so it doesn’t burn your mouth. Overall, very good gummies. We love them! Stitch Candy On to the sour ones! The Extreme Sours are described as Sour Cherry Berry Rainbow Sticks and they are so colorful! These little candies are so cute, but not nearly as potent so they really just smell a little sweet when you open the bag. Stitch Candies Ok, so we liked the mango ones a little better, but the sour gummies are good too! They taste pretty much like regular fruity sour candy, but that’s fine with us because we love a good sour gummy! Stitch Candies If neither of those strikes your fancy, or if you’ve just got a serious candy craving, there are MORE flavors to choose from! Check out the Sour Taffy… Stitch Candies …the Warheads Sour Chewy Candy Cubes… Stitch Candies …aaaand the Warheads Sour Twists Chewy Candy! Stitch Candies Overall, these are some pretty tasty candies! If you’re looking for a sweet treat with a kick, stop by Main Street Confectionary and keep an eye out for these new treats! You can snag the 5-ounce bags for $6.29 or the 14-ounce bags for $7.99 (maybe get all of them, just sayin’). Love Disney Candy? Check out these Disney Parks Pez dispensers!
