  1. O Canada! Canada Pavilion in The World Showcase January 17th, 2020 is set to be a big day over at Epcot as we’ll see the debut of several entertainment offerings around the park. In addition to the Beauty and The Beast sing-a-long in the France Pavilion and the Planet Awesome in the Land Pavilion, our friendly neighbors in the north will be premiering a brand new film. Canada’s Circle-Vision Theater in Epcot will be premiering Canada Far and Wide on January 17, 2020. Narrated by Catherine O’Hara and Eugene Levy, we’ve already seen a bunch of signage added to the pavilion for the film. Canada Far and Wide We are now just weeks away from the premiere and returning to the pavilion to scoop things out. The ‘theatre closed’ sign is still up. Canada Pavilion It’s a little FAR, but we spy the installation of the new Canada Far and Wide sign! (Look reeeeeal close…it’s that tiny thing in the middle of the pic!) Canda Far and Wide Here, we’ll help. We’re getting closer, people! Canda Far and Wide sign We all all “aboot” this new show coming to the Canada Pavilion and can’t wait to check it out! We hope you’ll be following along on January 17, 2020 as we check out this new offering along with everything else coming to Epcot! Are you excited for this new entertainment offering at the Canada Pavilion in Epcot’s World Showcase? Let us know! Related posts: What’s Popping? Changes To Cult-Favorite Epcot Snack Review! 2. While you might be spending the holidays in Disney World, we’re channeling a little bit of paradise this Christmas! Caribbean Beach Resort If you want a break from the gingerbread, peppermint, and sugar cookies, we’re taking you with us to the Caribbean to sip on two fruity drinks! Banana Cabana at Disney’s Caribbean Beach Resort is serving up the Island Time Seasonal Margarita for the holidays with a pear-iffic twist! Banana Cabana Cocktail Menu The seasonal sip is renamed the Desert Pear and mixed up with Don Julio Reposado Tequila, Grand Marnier, Sweet-and-Sour, and Pear Syrup for $14. Desert Pear After we took our first sip, the booze hit us HARD with the Desert Pear! But, after we mixed it up a bit, the pear flavors really stood out more compared to the tequila and Grand Marnier. Desert Pear Our favorite part about this drink, though, was that it didn’t taste like a regular margarita! It wasn’t tart like a usual marg, but unique with its light and refreshing flavors (we could definitely have more than one of these bbs!). Desert Pear If you want a bit less strong, Banana Cabana is also pouring up the Goombay Smash with Cruzan Disney Select Single Single Barrel Rum, Parrot Bay Coconut Rum, Plantation Original Dark Rum, Sweet-and-Sour, and Pineapple Juice for $13. Goombay Smash If you’re a pineapple fan like we are, the Goombay Smash tastes just like a treat straight from the beach! The pineapple flavors are more prominent than any other flavor… Goombay Smash …Buuut, the light kick of booze really adds a nice finish to the pineapple so it isn’t overly sweet. Goombay Smash While you may not be staying at Caribbean Beach, the resort is one of the Skyliner stations (it’s the hub of all of them, actually!) so you can easily swing by to have a drink or two at Banana Cabana (yaaas!). You can check out all the other drinks we find around Disney World by subscribing to our newsletter! Have you tried the Desert Pair or Goombay Smash yet? Let us know in the comments below! The Child ©Disney We’ll THREE fun surprises — to be exact! Wanna know more about these top-secret Mandalorian references scattered around Disney World? Keep reading to find out what we’ve revealed so far, and where to spot ’em! Toydarian Toymaker in Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge In the beginning, there was Baby Yoda — the very first Mandalorian Easter egg we ever spotted. Well, maaaaybe??? He certainly looked like the little bouncing bundle of joy to us when we spotted him in a hanging basket at Toydarian Toymaker, but a Cast Member we spoke with would neither confirm nor deny our hypothesis. Baby Yoda We stopped by the Black Spire Outpost today to pay our respects to the little green dude, but he must’ve been out riding in his space egg as his little nest up there was empty. We certainly hope he finds his way back to Batuu, so keep your eyes peeled for him! Read more about the first time we spotted “The Child” in Disney World HERE! Dok-Ondars Den of Antiquities in Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge Just down the road at Dok-Ondars Den of Antiquities, we spotted another reference to the exclusive Disney+ series. Check out the Mandalorian Armor on the wall! Looks like the Mandalorian’s helmet, blaster and banner have become part of Don-Ondars collection! Madalorian’s Armor We wonder how that sneaky Dok-Ondar acquired them…hmmmm! See the must-have Star Wars merch that was just released at Dok-Ondar’s today HERE! Jock Lindsey’s Hangar Bar in Disney Springs Now is when things get really strange, because while our first two Mandalorian Easter eggs were at least INSIDE the Star Wars universe, we’re heading into Indiana Jones territory for this last one! Check out this “prop” piece set waaay up in the rafters of Jock Lindsey’s Hangar Bar in Disney Springs! That looks an awful lot like IG-88’s head to us! Even if you haven’t watched him hunting Baby Yoda in The Mandalorian yet, you might recall this bounty hunter droid from the second film of the original Star Wars trilogy — TheEmpire Strikes Back! Bounty Hunter Droid Or it could just be an old, rusty coffee maker, but no, it’s definitely him! (Some Cast Members have told us they believed this to be the real prop from the film, others aren’t as sure!) Did you know Jock Lindsey’s Hangar Bar got a holiday makeover this year? Read about it here! Yes, it’s true! You never know what you’ll find at Disney World with a well-trained Jedi eye! We’ll let you know as soon as we spot some more Mandalorian Easter eggs, but for now, here’s more Baby Yoda! Have you spotted any Mandalorian Easter eggs that haven’t made out list? 16. Ahhh, it’s Christmastime! And, that means we’re grabbing all those holiday drinks available for the season in Disneyland! Snickerdoodle Cold Brew Even though we’ve been trying House-made Horchata and the Snickerdoodle Cold Brew, we’re heading to Starbucks for a new way to sip some of our favorite drinks! Although we’ve seen Starbucks merchandise featuring Disneyland and Disney California Adventure separately, now both parks are joining together for the Disneyland Parks Tumbler! Disneyland Parks Tumbler One side features Sleeping Beauty Castle made of some of Disneyland’s rides (hey, Mr. Toad!!)… Disneyland Side …while the other has Carthay Circle front and center with Disney California Adventure’s attractions! Disney California Adventure Side The tumbler also comes with a reusable green straw that’s slightly angled for easier sipping (yes, please)! So, the only question we have is which drink are we gonna try first in our new Disneyland Parks Tumbler?? Disneyland Parks Tumbler And, with the holidays just around the corner, this would be a great gift for both the Starbucks and Disney lovers in your group of friends and family! 18. HAPPY FRIDAY to you and CHEERS from the Mexico Pavilion in Epcot’s World Showcase! Mexico Pavilion It’s always a FIESTA at this pavilion with no shortage of yummy bites and drinks for you to partake in! While La Cava del Tequila will ALWAYS be #1 in our hearts, Choza de Margarita is an excellent option right on of the pavilion that offers a walk-up bar complete with delicious margaritas and some tasty snacks. Choza de Margarita We’re back here today for the arrival of TWO new margaritas… because the only thing better than one margarita is TWO margaritas. DUH! Choza de Margarita Menu That’s right! Two new cocktails have made their way to the walk-up’s Signature Margaritas Menu. Choza de Margaritas Signature Margarita Menu Introducing the Spicy Blackberry Margarita and Smoky Pineapple Margarita. New Signature Margaritas The Spicy Blackberry Margarita features Mezcal Gracias a Dios blanco, lime juice, blackberry puree with a hint of jalapeño and a black ant salt rim. Spicy Blackberry Margarita Priced at $14.50, this was absolutely delicious and the perfect balance of sweet and spicy. Have no fear in regards to the ant salt rim, it legit JUST tastes like salt! (and you can always ask for regular salt if it creeps you out!) Spicy Blackberry Margarita The Smoky Pineapple Margarita features Mezcal ilegal blanco, pineapple-ginger juice, and Ancho Reyes Chile liqueur. Tajin Chile-lime powder adorns the rim. Smoky Pineapple Margarita Priced at $15.50, this one was a balancing act between the sweetness of the juice and the smokiness that the Chile liqueur provided. We thought the tajin power rim did a nice job of blending these two distinct flavors. Smoky Pineapple Margarita It’s another two winners for us from this outside stand churning out some pretty creative craft beverages. Margaritas here tend to be quite boozy so we recommend washing them down with the stand’s delicious Empanada de Barbacoa. Empanada de Barbacoa Priced at $10.50, we love these two Barbacoa Beef Empanadas and side of Corn Esquites that make up a meal in themselves at a VERY reasonable price! Empanada de Barbacoa We’ll be back in this pavilion VERY soon when the Neil Patrick Harris NEW craft margarita lands inside at La Cava del Tequila next week! 19. While we’ve already temporarily lost the Disney World Railroad at the Magic Kingdom due to TRON: Lightcyle Run construction, now it appears we might be losing another beloved train! Big Thunder Mountain in Magic Kingdom It’s too soon to be totally sure what’s going on with Big Thunder Mountain Railroad, but we DID see some very concerning stuff today that’s got us like, “Hey Big Thunder, you alright?” Big Thunder Mountain Railroad isn’t currently showing up on any refurbishment schedules for Disney World, and the dates for the Frontierland attraction aren’t grayed out like they normally appear online when a ride is expecting to be closed. But what’s got us worried is the times schedule. Similar to what we spotted earlier with Electric Umbrella’s closure being postponed, as you can see starting May 4th, 2020, there are “No Times Available” for Big Thunder Mountain Railroad. Big Thunder Mountain Railroad’s Website And when you fast-forward a few weeks, you’ll see the times for the attraction become available again starting May 22nd, 2020. Big Thunder Mountain Railroad’s Website That’s giving us the sneaking suspicion this train ride won’t be going anywhere between May 4th, 2020 to May 21st, 2020. We’ll let you know as soon as we have confirmation that Big Thunder Mountain Railroad will be closed during this time, but until then, better enjoy some prospecting just in case it does! Were you hoping on riding Big Thunder Mountain Railroad during this time? Are you bummed it might be closed? Let us know in the comments below! Related posts: What’s New at Magic Kingdom! 20. IT’S HERE! The Rise of Skywalker has premiered at theaters around the world, wrapping up the saga and the story of our heroes (and villains). The Rise of Skywalker Opening Night! Whether you’ve seen the movie or you’re going to soon, you can step right into the action of the film in Disney World! Y’know, before or after you visit Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge for Rise of the Resistance, that is! “The Saga Continues” with the NEW The Rise of Skywalker Exhibit at Star Wars Launch Bay in Hollywood Studios! Before we start our journey through the galaxy, there will be SPOILERS later on in this post about the film! We’ll remind you when we get closer! ;D The Rise of Skywalker Exhibit While the Stormtroopers have an iconic look, there are so many AWESOME troopers and soldiers that appear in The Rise of Skywalker! The First Order Helmets Two of our favorites happen to be the First Order Jet Troopers (they can fly now?!)… Jet Trooper Helmet …and all of the Knights of Ren, like Ushar and Vicrul! (Alexa, play “Welcome to the Black Parade.”) Ushar’s Helmet The Dark Side is bringing its A-game this time around with new weapons, armor, and MORE! The Dark Side Exhibit While there’s the Sith Troopers (um, and an actual suit from Lucasfilm?!)… Sith Trooper Armor …we also see the First Order utilize new tech like the F-11ABA Heavy Canon… F-11ABA Heavy Cannon …and thermal detonators (no, not the Coke bottles we’ve seen in Galaxy’s Edge.) Thermal Detonator Kylo Ren is back again, hungry for power, but also uncertain about who he’s meant to be. Even though many of the Jedi lightsabers have amazing Kyber crystals, Kylo’s saber is extremely unique with its crossguard blades that almost have a life of their own. Kylo Ren’s Lightsaber During Rise of Skywalker, Kylo uses some help from the Knights of Ren on ships like the First Order TIE Fighter to go on a hunt through the galaxy (we won’t spoiler what for!). And, they have some interesting weapons of choice for themselves, like Vicrul’s scythe. Yeahhh, we wouldn’t want to be stuck in combat against that thing! Vicrul’s Scythe and First Order TIE Fighter Alright, here we go! If you haven’t seen The Rise of Skywalker, there are SPOILERS AHEAD FOR THE MOVIE! There WILL be a discussion of some of the plot, characters, and more. Okay, you’ve been warned!! Let’s keep going. Opening Night Carpet We’re hyperspace skipping over to the Light Side of the galaxy, where the Resistance is receiving help from friends both old and new. The Light Side Exhibit So… Leia has officially become one with the Force (and we are still crying about it). One of her final wishes was to make Poe the new General, and we can’t help but feel super proud of him. Poe Dameron’s Costume Our boy has grown sooo much from The Force Awakens to now. He’s been a pilot, the dad of BB-8, a great friend — and now he’s even climbed the ranks from Captain to General. (Yes, the real Oscar Isaac wore this costume. Swoon!!) Poe Dameron’s Costume The costs of the Battle of D’Qar were high in The Last Jedi. Poe not only lost his high-ranking title for his actions during the fight, but he also lost his ship, Black One too. ): Poe’s X-Wing Starfighter However, he’s bonded with his new Starfighter in The Rise of Skywalker, showing off his shootin’ and flyin’ abilities as he attacks the First (er, FINAL) Order during the momentous final battle. Poe’s X-Wing Starfighter Still, the Final Order isn’t the only thing that our heroes have to worry about. After Rey discovers Ochi‘s ship, she finds out from D-O that he was the droid of a Sith assassin sent to capture her. And, even though D-O might be a Sith droid, he’s as sweet as they come. D-O We just want to hug him whenever he rolls around with his newly non-squeaky wheel!! We can’t help but love the Star Wars droids, you know. D-O Just like D-O, we happened to meet some new characters during our journey with the Resistance (and we are very happy with the amount of girl power brought to the film). Resistance Weaponry While we all have been pretty curious about Poe’s past, we finally find out on Kijimi that Poe was once a spice runner (yes, that’s a type of drug in the Star Wars universe) alongside Zorii Bliss. But, he left her high and dry a long time ago, leaving a bit of animosity (and unrequited love) between the pair. Zorii Bliss’s Blaster Over on Kef Bir, though, Finn discovers a connection to Jannah — the leader of a rag-tag bunch of First Order deserters. Jannah and Finn were both taken captive as children and forced to become Stormtroopers, but soon had a “feeling” that what they were doing was wrong. (And, now they’re a force to be reckoned with!) Jannah’s Bow Completing our trio, Rey was able to rebuild her (originally Luke’s) lightsaber that was destroyed during her Force fight with Kylo Ren (which was pretty epic) in The Last Jedi. Being the last true Jedi herself, she’s able to forge together the remnants from the saber based on the Jedi texts in her possession. And, we all know what else she finds out from those texts during the film! (; Rey’s Lightsaber Wow, we’re still reeling from everything that happened during The Rise of Skywalker. While we’re sad to bid our friends “good journey,” the Force is definitely strong with them and the movie! Have you seen The Rise of Skywalker in theaters yet? Let us know in the comments below!
