Walt Disney World is always so festive that even the classic confections receive seasonal makeovers. Red, White, and Blue Krispie Treat for 4th of July And we’ve really fallen for this Valentine’s Day twist on a beloved park snack: the Mickey Krispy Treat! Valentine’s Day Mickey Krispy Treat That signature Mickey-shaped krispy is sporting a heart design that sets this one apart for the season. And the icing (topped with sprinkles!) used to form it amps up the sweetness in what’s typically a more mildly sweet treat made with marshmallow, butter, and tons of rice krispy cereal. Valentine’s Day Mickey Krispy Treat So, it’s a little extra sweet for YOUR sweet! We found this one at Big Top Treats in Magic Kingdom, but you can keep your eyes — and hearts! — peeled at places all over Disney World like the Main Street Confectionery and Goofy’s Candy Co. in Disney Springs that feature confection cases. Do you love to pick up the seasonal Krispy Treats when you’re in a Disney park? Please let us know with a comment! We’re back again once again at Disney World to check out what’s happening at the resort! We’re going to be taking a trip to the waters of Coronado Springs, Saratoga Springs, and the Port Orleans Resorts today. Disney’s Saratoga Springs There’s a bit of construction happening at Coronado Springs, but we’re going to be mostly diving into two of our favorite subjects: food and merch. We love seeing all these fun activities that you can do when you’re not in the parks! Panchito’s activities board Saratoga Springs Food Update We found two new Valentine’s Day treats just in time at the Artist’s Palette and they’re both covered in chocolate. Yeah, we’re definitely in! The juice is loose once again at Downtown Disney in Disneyland. Jamba is back baby! Jamba The smoothie/juice/bowl chain formerly known as Jamba Juice (never forget) closed it’s Downtown Disney location for a renovation last year, but now it’s time to check out the new digs and see what’s changed. We walked in, ready for a cup of refreshing juice, and the first thing we noticed was the makeover the interior got. The counter is no longer entirely wooden with added elements of tile and marble. Gone is the green paint on the walls, replaced with neutral beige tones. Jamba order counter As you walk in, you can pick up cold sandwiches, water, and other items from the cooler on the right-hand side. Jamba cooler The items on the menu have more or less stayed the same, but now digital menus sit over the counter to help with ordering. The biggest change has been to the online ordering system. Thanks to the new mobile app, ordering online is even faster and easier than before. You place your order and then you can just walk up to the grab-and-go coolers to pick up your delicious juice. Bless you, technology! Jamba digital menu You can stop by Jamba to get your smoothie on from 7:00 AM to 11:00 PM Sunday through Thursday and 7:00 AM to 12:00 AM on Friday and Saturday. What do you think of Jamba’s new makeover? Let us know down in the comments! Related posts: NEWS! We realize the Black Spire Outpost is situated on a far-away alien planet, but things took a truly bizarre turn on Batuu this morning! Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge at Hollywood Studios And right about now, you should be considering yourself VERY lucky if you visited Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge at Hollywood Studios before Rise of the Resistance opened! While we’re used to having to wait longer for Millennium Falcon: Smugglers Run since Rise of the Resistance debuted (luckily we’ll soon be able to use FastPasses for Smugglers Run, so no biggie!) we’re NOT used to waiting in line to enter a Disney World shop! That’s why we were shocked to see a queue outside Droid Depot just before noon today with a 60-minute wait time! Droid Depot Considering you’ll spend $99.99 +tax to build-your-own-droid once you get in, this is ONE expensive wait! But Droid Depot wasn’t alone! Dok-Ondar’s Den of Antiquities also had a line just to go in! We can wait 30 minutes in a standby line to ride one of our favorite attractions or meet a rare character standing on our heads, but to enter a gift shop to spend a bunch of money? This might be pushing it a little. Den of Antiquities This is the first time we’ve personally seen these two Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge gift shops post wait times, and so far we’ve only seen them at Droid Depot and Dok-Ondar’s. We’ll let you know if we see any other shops start doing this as well, so stay tuned for developments! Would you wait an hour to enter Droid Depot? What do you think about waiting to enter a gift shop in Disney World? Let us know in the comments below! An all-new (and quite fabulous, I might add) monthly merchandise series hit the scene in January. Minnie Mouse: The Main Attraction Space Mountain Plush Minnie Mouse: The Main Attraction is a collection inspired by our favorite fashionista, Minnie, with designs focused on favorite Disney Parks attractions! The series kicked off in an out-of-this-world way with the Space Mountain line for January, and we’ll grab our plunder of the new Pirates of the Caribbean line when it makes its debut later this week for February. In the meantime, though, we have a sneak peek at the MARCH design for Minnie Mouse: The Main Attraction… and we think you’ll go MAD for it! ©shopDisney YES! The March design is whirling around the spinning tea cups that make up the Mad Tea Party! shopDisney.com shared this look at the line on Twitter today, which includes — like the other designs — a Loungefly backpack, a mug (or, rather, tea cup!), a trio of pins, a plush Minnie Mouse (complete with a puffy pink bow), and Minnie Mouse Ears topped with what appears to be a Mad Hatter-inspired hat! This, of course, is in keeping with the themed hints we received on the calendar about the monthly designs when the collection was first announced. You can read about the coming featured attractions here! Minnie Mouse: The Main Attraction Sign Speaking of calendars… remember to circle yours for the upcoming lines, as each design from The Main Attraction collection is set to debut on the third Saturday of every month in the Disney Parks and on shopDisney.com throughout 2020! This incredible daytime spectacular celebrates the awe-inspiring moments of magic that are at the heart of so many Disney stories. Today, we’re excited to share details surrounding the parade’s whimsical opening sequence! Mickey Mouse in an all-new sorcerer-inspired costume leads the way, gliding along on glistening swirls of magic that emerge from a giant, 15-foot tall iridescent magical hat. While we already think Disney’s Port Orleans Resort is one of the most romantic places to stay during a Disney World trip, it seems Riverside and French Quarter are stepping up their game even more for Valentine’s Day! Port Orleans Riverside And while we already tried the new Mardi Gras Beignet over at Scat Cat’s Club Cafe, we’re heading back to the Big Easy to sample their Valentine’s Day Cupcake! The Valentine’s Day Cupcake can be found at both Sassagoula Floatworks and Food Factory at French Quarter and Boatwright’s Dining Hall at Riverside for $5.49. It’s a classic vanilla cupcake, with a berry mousse filling and berry-flavored buttercream. Valentine’s Day Cupcake Plus, the Valentine’s Day Cupcake is all dolled up for date night with heart-shaped sprinkles and a “love letter” fondant topper! It almost looks too pretty to eat…almost! Valentine’s Day Cupcake The berry mousse in the center reminds us of strawberries and cream while the berry-flavor of the buttercream is much more subtle. For us, the filling definitely stole the show, but overall, the sweetness of the vanilla cake and richness of the buttercream balanced out nicely! And we hope you have a sweet spot for buttercream, because this little cutie has a TON of it! Valentine’s Day Cupcake If you’re looking for more sweet snacks to satisfy your V-Day cravings, check out the Sugar Crust Chocolate Covered Raspberry Mousse we spotted earlier at Saratoga Spings here! And don’t forget — 10 villainous treats are coming back FOR ONE DAY ONLY tomorrow, a.k.a. Villaintine’s Day! Find out more about ’em HERE! Valentine’s? Galentine’s? We’re actually feeling a bit more sinister this holiday season. ©Disney And, lucky for us, Villaintine’s Day is making its way BACK into Disney’s Contemporary Resort this year with lots of wickedly delicious treats! For one day ONLY on February 13th (since it’s the spookiest number of them all), you can head to the Contempo Cafe for an entire array of themed desserts! Villaintine’s Day Sign from 2019 The treats from last year are returning to cause mayhem in the bakery, and we are SO here for it! If you’re feeling pretty fiery, you can snack on the Hades Cupcake. The vanilla cupcake is filled with pumpkin custard and topped with blue buttercream, silver sugar, and a white chocolate piece. Okay, fine, fine, we’re cool (just freaking out about this one, you guys). Hades Cupcake What’s sweet and devilishly handsome? The Gaston Cupcake is striking a pose at the Contempo with its caramel cake, dulce de leche filling, red and gold vanilla buttercream, a dark chocolate belt, and a (totally stylish) golden belt buckle. Gaston Cupcake While we might never be able to look as fabulous as the Evil Queen, we can still eat like royalty with the Evil Queen Fruit Tart made with blackberries, blueberries, and a white chocolate garnish. Evil Queen Fruit Tart He’s not a codfish anymore ’cause Captain Hook is looking as dastardly as ever with the Captain Hook Cake! The chocolate cake is topped with a swirl of blue and white buttercream, gummy fish, a dark chocolate plank, and a white chocolate piece. Just keep an eye out for Tick-Tock! Captain Hook Cake Long live the king!! The Scar Peanut Butter Pie is BACK with those rich cocoa powder claw marks, chocolate sprinkle rim, and a white chocolate garnish. Scar Peanut Butter Pie We’re talkin’ to our friends on the other side, and they say that the Dr. Facilier Cookie Sandwich is SO GOOD. Two chocolate chips cookies are layered with buttercream and topped with a white chocolate piece and themed sugar sprinkles (so spooooky!). Dr. Facilier Cookie Sandwich Still craving another cookie? Then, the Villain Sugar Cookie is a sweet (and sinister) treat with its black and lavender sprinkles! Villaintine’s Day Desserts Let’s go, girls! The Disney Villainesses are making cake a million times better with their themed treats! You can look stylish like the fashionista herself with the Cruella de Vil Cupcake made of vanilla cake, a cookies and cream filling, red vanilla buttercream, and a fondant cape and green broach. Cruella de Vil Cupcake All of these treats have been casting a spell over us, but especially the Maleficent Flourless Cake topped with a white chocolate purple glaze and dark chocolate horns sprayed with black cocoa butter. (We hope there are no spinning wheels nearby!) Maleficent Flourless Cake Life’s full tough choices, isn’t it? But, we can’t help but want the Ursula Confetti Cake!! The vanilla cake has a blueberry filling and purple buttercream, dark purple white chocolate glaze, black sprinkles, and a white chocolate shell on top! Ursula Cake Check out our full reviews of the Cruella de Vil Cupcake, Maleficent Flourless Cake, and Ursula Confetti Cake here! Need more Disney Villains in your life this holiday season? Cinderella Anniversary Tea Decorations And what a fine centerpiece this pumpkin, we mean carriage, will make! Just look at how it shimmers with the Fairy Godmother’s twinkling magic! Cinderella Anniversary Tea Decorations The room was filled with the aroma of freshly-cut flowers thanks to these gorgeous white roses! Cinderella Anniversary Tea Decorations It looks like Cinderella’s parted ways with one of her glass slippers again! Of course, her footwear makes a great focal point when resting in a bed of pretty flowers! Cinderella Anniversary Tea Decorations Here’s the menu of the Classic Afternoon Tea we’re about to settle into! Notice the variety of teas it features including White Teas, Black Teas, Green Teas, and Caffeine-Free Herbal Teas. There’s even a section of tea-infused cocktails we’ve got our eye on at the bottom! There’s Before Midnight — a Blue Ginger Tea featuring Bombay Sapphire Gin, Tequila Lychee, The Lemon Drop Tea and a Nutty Martini made with Makers Mark whisky bourbon! Classic Afternoon Tea Menu Our hot tea came with an adorable rock candy swizzle for stirring — it reminded us of the Fairy Godmother’s sparkly wand! Hot Tea with Rock Candy Swizzle Stick While the tea was delicious, we couldn’t stop thinking about those infused cocktails, so we ordered a Before Midnight and The Lemon Tea Drop because we were just too intrigued not to try ’em! Tea-Infused Cocktails Before Midnight is just as stunning as Cinderella’s signature ballgown — in fact, it would look just like the skirt of her dress if the drink didn’t spill out when we turned it over! We were all about this shimmery blue beauty! Before Midnight The Lemon Tea Drop was a nice twist on a classic Lemon Drop! Get ready to pucker when you sip this one! The Lemon Tea Drop And now the moment you’ve all been waiting for! It’s time to talk about the special Cinderella Tea Party eats! The menu is separated into Classic Tea Party ($55) and Premium Tea Party ($70) sections. The Premium Tea Party includes the same offerings as the Classic menu, with the addition of sparkling wine, salad, and a farewell truffle. A Kids Tea is also available with the more approachable foods for $35 per child. Afternoon Tea Menu The Classic Tea Party has plenty of Cinderella goodies to enjoy, so we opted for the somewhat cheaper, abridged version. Here’s what landed on our table — as you can see, plan on coming HUNGRY! Classic Tea Party This embarrassment of riches is a lot to take in, so we’ll break it down tier-by-tier and treat-by-treat! Classic Tea Party On the lowest level, you’ll find a selection of Traditional Scones. The adorably Mickey-shaped ones are lemon-based with blood orange glaze on top while the round ones are mocha-flavored with chocolate chips and an espresso chocolate glaze! Traditional Scones On the side, you’ll find blood orange curd, Devonshire cream, and raspberry preserves for slathering those puppies up! Traditional Scones And on the tippy-top most tier, you’ll find a selection of Cindy-inspired sweets such as the Blueberry Cheesecake with a toffee nut crumble, Chocolate Covered Strawberries, Chocolate Carriage Cake Pops (don’t they look similar to the ones we’ve seen at Disney World), and a white chocolate Glass Slipper filled with raspberry mousse with marigolds and freeze-dried raspberries on top! Cinderella Desserts Have you ever seen a more fitting tribute to our girl Cinderella than this spread? It’s truly fit for a princess! Cinderella Desserts And if you thought the desserts were adorable, just wait until you see the special Cinderella-themed Tea Sandwiches! There’s Bruno’s Bone which is ham and cheese along with Broom — a classic peanut butter and jelly sandwich. The Bluebird features cream cheese, with basil and tomato, and is shaped like a friendly songbird with blue bread! Tea Sandwiches The Carriage is pumpkin hummus with radish wheels and walnuts while Lucifer’s Milk Bowl features panna cotta, Grana Padano cheese, fig, and mixed greens. The last one is Sunchoke Espuma served on that vibrant blue bread and had a potato spiral and artichoke tapenade. Minnie Ears at World of Disney And today Disney shared with us two new styles you’ll be able to get your hands on soon! Check out the newest Minnie Ears that will be dropping sometime soon at both Disney parks! Wait a sec… these look VERY familiar! In fact, to us, they look strikingly similar to the Classic Minnie Ears with the poofy satin polka dot bow that the Disney parks are currently selling! In lieu of all the recent Disney Park price increases this morning, we’ve put on our thinking caps to come up with a solution! Disney Parks Balloons And lucky for you guys, it didn’t take us very long to remember something big that happened last year! What was it? SAM’S. CLUB. BABY! Last year we learned it pays to have a Sam’s Club membership — at least, it certainly has its benefits if you’re a person who likes to visit the Disney Parks frequently! This is because Sam’s often sells discounted Disney World and Disneyland tickets. We decided to check Sam’s again to see if there were some great deals to be had after Disney increased their ticket prices yet again. Sure enough, when we compared Sam’s Club’s ticket prices with Disney’s this afternoon, the savings WERE THERE! Pixar Pier Disneyland Ticket Savings Sam’s Club offers a wide variety of discounted Multi-day Disney World and Disneyland ticket options to choose from. First up, Disneyland! Many of these deals include added features such as MaxPass, One Magic Morning or a $25 Restaurant.com gift card. Sleeping Beauty Castle We’ll show you just a few examples. (Note: savings may vary depending on whether or not Sam’s Club has updated their retail prices to reflect Disney’s latest ticket price increases when YOU look at the website.) These 2-Day 1-Park Multi-day tickets include a $25 Restaurant.com gift card and cost $210 per adult and $197 per child. As of today, Disneyland’s 2-Day, 1-Park tickets have increased from $225 to $235 per adult plus tax — and when you throw in the value of that $25 gift card, there are some decent savings — especially if you’re buying tickets for multiple family members! Disneyland Tickets on Sam’s Club’s Website The savings goes up even more when you look at Disneyland 2-Day Park Hopper tickets. Since the cost of these tickets for adults just increased from $280 to $290, you can save some cash money on these, too. Disneyland Tickets on Sam’s Club’s Website Sam’s Club also offers a variety of exclusive SoCal Residents discounts. Some of these deals even come with MaxPass and one Magic Morning, and you’ll see even bigger discounts here. 3-Day 1-Park Disneyland tickets just increased from $300 to $310, so you can save if you’re a Cali resident by snagging your tickets from Sam’s Club instead! And you can pocket even more by getting your 3-Day Park Hopper Disneyland tickets since they’ve gone up from $355 to $365! Factor in that MaxPass, which just increased to $20 per day today, and you’re saving yet again. Disneyland Tickets on Sam’s Club’s Website Walt Disney World Ticket Savings Don’t worry! If you’re traveling to Disney World, we’ve spotted some ticket discounts for you folks as well! Sam’s Club also offers a discounted price on 4-Day 4-Park tickets. If you’re traveling with a group this could really add up! Disney World Tickets on Sam’s Club Now, last year we saw BIG savings on Annual Passes (which also got a massive price hike in 2019), but sadly it looks like Sam’s Club has, unfortunately, discontinued selling those. We did want to mention that they do typically sell discounted Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party and Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party tickets, so be on the lookout for those! While Sam’s Club is always offering discounted rates, we aren’t too sure if these prices will increase a bit thanks to the recent price increases. Either way, you should still be able to save by purchasing your tickets through Sam’s Club. Remember, it does cost $45 to join Sam’s Club, which can change the amount you’re saving a bit. So, be sure to do the math to see what makes the most sense for your family! Will you be buying your next Disney World or Disneyland tickets from Sam’s Club or from somewhere other than directly from Disney? Let us know in the comments below! Some may say we were born to love Mickey Beignets — and those folks wouldn’t be wrong! Disney’s Port Orleans Resort — French Quarter In fact, we seem to have a supernatural sense every time a new one arrives at Disney World, which is why we headed over to Scat Cat’s Club Cafe! While we last made the pilgrimage to Disney’s Port Orleans Resort — French Quarter to try their Cinna-Hot Beignets (which were called Red Hot Beignets last time we were here!) we saw a new item had been added — the Mardi Gras Beignet! Scat Cat’s Seasonal Beignets The Mardi Gras Beignet is a plain Mickey-shaped beignet, but instead of a dusting of powdered sugar, this little guy has been given the “royal treatment” with purple, green, and yellow glaze decorated with crispy pearls! Mardi Gras Beignet The lack of powdered sugar combined with the sweet, rich flavor of the dough and icing make the Mardi Gras Beignet taste just like a yummy glazed donut to us! Plus this thing is as festive as it gets if you’re looking for a treat to satisfy your carnival cravings! Mardi Gras Beignet And at only $2.99, the Mardis Gras Beignet is a steal of a deal! And don’t forget — you can still snag your Cinna-Hot Beignets (the ones without Fireball whisky) for $2.99 each as well! Will you be trekking over to Disney’s Port Orleans Resort — French Quarter to try the Mardi Gras Beignet? Let us know in the comments below!
