  1. If you’re anything like me you need a sip of caffeine just to get you through the day…especially a Disney Park day. While I’m out enjoying the parks, I always stop by the Joffrey’s Coffee kiosks to see what new specialty beverages are brewing and I’m so excited to see some of those offerings coming to their Disney Springs location in The Landing just across from The BOATHOUSE. If you haven’t been in a while, I’d encourage you to stop by because they’ve been working on adding a little extra magic inside that’s sure to make you smile. When you walk in the location, you’ll spot a brand-new ripple station that will print a little Disney magic right on top of your latte. How does it work? Simply choose which character you’d like on your latte (characters include Mickey Mouse, Minnie Mouse, Goofy, Donald Duck and Simba) or download the ripples app to print your own selfie as a work of art. Next, a barista will create your hand-crafted brew, place it inside the ripple maker and ta-da—you have an Instagrammable latte! As I mentioned earlier, you’ll also be able to find delicious specialty drinks that were once only available in select Disney Parks now available at Disney Springs. My favorite is the Lion’s Latte (you all know I have a soft spot for anything themed to The Lion King!) This beverage is a decadent blend of espresso with white chocolate and coconut and is available hot or iced. Another fun beverage comes straight from Andy’s Backyard—the Round ‘Em Up Latte is made with cookie butter, dulce de leche, topped with whipped cream, animal crackers, and sprinkles. (also available hot or iced.) In addition to these amazing beverages, you’ll also find fan-favorites like cold-brew Nitro, cappuccino and espresso as well as flavored and seasonal lattes. Also, since Joffrey’s Coffee is the Official Specialty Coffee of Walt Disney World Resort, Disneyland Resort and Disney Vacation Club, you’ll find pre-packaged blends inspired by your favorite Disney Signature Restaurants. (Ask a barista for more details.) Not a big coffee fan? No problem! Joffrey’s also serves an incredible selection of hot or iced teas and a variety of other spirited drinks. Hot chocolate, donuts and other sweet treats are also available if you have a sweet tooth. Planning to visit soon? Don’t forget to snap a photo of your practically-perfect beverage! Be sure to tag your photos with #DisneySprings and #JoffreysMoments for a chance to be featured on social media. Don’t forget to follow @joffreyscoffee and @joffreyscoffeeandtea for updates on new beverages offerings as they become available. View the full article

  6. It seems Future World isn’t the only thing that’s a little tricky to navigate at Epcot right now! Beauty and the Beast Sing-Along Theater But while we’ve been figuring out how to wrap our heads around the maze of construction walls that is Future World right now, we’ve just found out Epcot’s cutting back the hours on some of its shows and experiences! While previously, Disney World’s website reported the last showing for The American Adventure was slated for 9 PM, starting February 23rd, the final performance will start at 8:15 PM instead! Screenshot From Epcot’s Website Our friends waaaay up North have also cut back their showtimes for Canada Far and Wide! The last showing will be at 8 PM starting February 23rd! Screenshot From Epcot’s Website Get the details on the new Canada Far and Wide here! Also starting February 23rd, the last screening of Awesome Planet will be at 8 PM — that’s an hour earlier than it is currently! Screenshot From Epcot’s Website Find out more about Awesome Planet HERE! Kidcot Fun Stops, the hands-on learning stations you’ll find throughout Epcot, will now be wrapping up at 8 PM starting on February 23rd as well. Screenshot From Epcot’s Website Meanwhile, Reflections of China will also conclude for the evening with its last showing starting at 8:15 PM starting February 23rd! Screenshot From Epcot’s Website Read about Wondrous China coming to China Pavilion here! The remastered Impressions de France has an already super-limited run already now that it shares a theater with the Beauty and the Beast Sing-Along, but starting February 23rd, you’ll only have from 6:30 PM to 8:00 PM to enjoy it! Screenshot From Epcot’s Website And lastly, the final performance for the new Beauty and the Beast Sing-Along will be 6 PM instead of 7 PM starting February 23rd! Screenshot From Epcot’s Website Learn more about the new Beauty and the Beast Sing-Along here! We can’t be certain how long these changes will be in effect for, but we checked the times on the Walt Disney World website all the way through April for the Beauty and the Beast Sing-Along times and found the final show was scheduled for 6 PM every evening. We’ll let you know if we see more Epcot attractions following suit, but for now, you might want to think about shifting some of your advance dining reservations around if you were hoping to catch any of these shows in the evening! Why do you think Epcot has reduced the hours of these attractions? Let us know in the comments below! 7. Are you smelling what we’re smelling? That’s right, fellow Soarers! We can’t wait to sniff the sweet, fragrant scent of orange groves when one of our favorite Disney attractions returns for a special, super-limited run! Soarin’ Over California ©Disney And if you’re super-stoked to hop on a hang glider and see the original Soarin’ Over California in all its glory, we now have confirmation on just HOW LONG that’ll be! Soarin’ Over California will be returning to the very place where it all TOOK off in the first place — Disney California Adventure Park. As you may recall, we knew that Soarin’ Over California would return when Disney California Adventure’s Food and Wine Festival kicked off, but we didn’t know how long it would be sticking around for. Soarin’ Over California We now know you’ll be able to ride the classic version (which was later replaced with Soarin’ Around the World) from February 28th, 2020 through April 21st, 2020! And on top of this, on March 11th, 18th, and 25th, Annual Passholders will have access to the ride for an extra hour! We’re anticipating the classic Soarin’ will be as popular as it was last year (which probably has something to do with why it’s coming back!). We hope you find some time to make it over there! 8. It’s true: Epcot’s Future World lost a dining location when Electric Umbrella closed its doors over the weekend. This expected closure came as just one part of the massive transformation currently taking place at Epcot. Electric Umbrella behind construction walls And even as we say goodbye to some old haunts, we are MORE than excited about what’s to come, both in the years ahead and in the near future with one of the presumed highlights being the Space 220 Restaurant, currently under construction right by the Mission: SPACE attraction! So, let’s take a peek! Space 220 Concept Art ©Disney While we’ve been keeping an eye out for any and all updates on this dining location which will deliver guests to the Centauri Space Station, today brings us a first glimpse at a bit of newly revealed exterior décor of Space 220! Space 220 Construction We can at last make out paint colors in hues of blue including a bold blue circle within the design, peeking out from behind the greenery and fences (reminders of our home here on earth ). Space 220 Construction It is exciting to see progress on this highly anticipated location, especially since the opening — originally slated for the end of 2019 — has met with delays. Space 220 Construction But it hasn’t slowed down our excitement about Space 220 one bit. And if you feel the same, you’ll want to learn everything you need to know BEFORE Space 220 Restaurant opens! Find out everything you need to know BEFORE Space 220 opens in Epcot by clicking here! And get in the know about Epcot’s MASSIVE transformation here! We can’t wait to bring you more details on this restaurant — which will be unlike any other dining location in Walt Disney World — soon! Are you hoping to dine at Space 220 Restaurant? 9. The Epcot Transformation is one of the BIGGEST park makeovers we’ve ever seen — and it’s just getting started! Epcot Entrance While we’ve been keeping you in the loop with all the new restaurants and attractions as their construction sites progress, now it seems Epcot’s evolution is REALLY kicking into high gear! And even if you normally consider yourself to be a pro at navigating Epcot, it can be really tricky given how unfamiliar it’s lookin’ and feelin’ these days! Never needed a map to get around Epcot before? You might want to grab one THIS time to help you traverse the endless sea of construction walls we’re about to show you! It shows the new pathways and can help guide you to your destination! Epcot Park Map And while the World Showcase isn’t greatly impacted at the moment (other than the France pavilion’s construction as Remy’s Ratatouille Adventure takes shape for its summer 2020 opening), Future World and Epcot’s main entrance are virtually unrecognizable in their current state. Cast Members with Signs for Attractions See the current state of Epcot’s France pavilion and Remy’s Ratatouille Adventure HERE! Entrance As you can see, now that the Leave A Legacy monoliths have been removed and a significant portion of the turnstiles are now blocked off, you have to go to the extreme left turnstiles of the front gate to enter. Epcot’s Main Gate Future World West To access Mission: SPACE, (and subsequently the new Space 220 Restaraunt when it opens!), Test Track, the temporary Mouse Gear location, playground area, The Epcot Experience and onward to the World Showcase, you’ll want to head left. The signage is color-coded, and you’ll be directed towards Future World West’s attractions with reds, pinks, and purples. Attraction Signs The Epcot Experience is where you’ll get to see Epcot’s big plans for the future along with Eats at Epcot Experience — a new quick-service restaurant! The Epcot Experience at the Odyssey Center Read our FULL REVIEW of The Eats at Epcot Experience HERE! Keep in mind you’ll still be able to access the World Showcase from both Future World West and Future World East for the time being! And ALL of the attractions are still open, they’re just a little more difficult to access. Attraction Signs The walkway to Epcot’s Future World West runs alongside Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind which is taking over the Universe of Energy’s former show building which you’ll see on the left. Future World Walkway We’re so pumped to ride Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind when it opens 2021, but for now, we’ll just have to wait and watch as its construction progresses! Guardians of the Galaxy Coaster Construction See the latest construction happening at Epcot’s new Guardians of the Galaxy coaster here! It’s also important to note the restrooms near Guest Relations as you head to the Guardians of the Galaxy path are now closed due to construction. Restrooms Near Guardians of the Galaxy From Mouse Gear to the playground, you’ll walk through this LOOOOOONG, seemingly-endless corridor of construction walls! This path leads you to Future World East! Future World Walkway Future World East If you hang a right at Spaceship Earth, you’ll end up over by The Seas pavilion. This is how to get you’ll get over to The Land and Imagination pavilions as well, before continuing on towards the World Showcase. All of the Future World East signage and walls are designated with blues and greens. Attraction Signs Future World East and West Breezeways Remember the breezeways that formerly brought you to Future World West and Future World East? Well, BOTH breezeways are now blocked off and traffic is being rerouted through these temporary pathways because the area behind Spaceship Earth is completely inaccessible. Future World Construction Spaceship Earth and “No Man’s Land” Spaceship Earth remains accessible (for now), but beyond that point is No Man’s Land. Epcot Read more about Spaceship Earth’s refurbishment coming soon HERE! When you exit from riding Spaceship Earth, you’ll still leave through the same door, but you’ll have to go to your left now that the area behind it is walled off. And whereas before you could walk around to the back of Spaceship Earth to get to Pin Traders, Electric Umbrella, Fountain View Starbucks, Club Cool, and the original Mouse Gear location, well, such is no longer the case! Spaceship Earth Exit Even though we witnessed the destruction of some of these classic Epcot pitstops a few months ago, now that Electric Umbrella is closed forever and Pin Traders is shuttered, access to the area behind Spaceship Earth is entirely closed off. Construction walls wrap around this whole area of the park, and we have a feeling it could be quite a while before we see this part of the park again! Even when we do, we’re expecting it to look VERY different! This area behind Spaceship Earth will evolve into Dreamer’s Point, — and we can’t wait to see it! Spaceship Earth Exit Find out more details about Dreamer’s Point here! Here’s a peek at the former Mouse Gear! But do not fear, there is a temporary Mouse Gear location set-up in Epcot. Mouse Gear Construction Now that Pin Central is officially closed (as of this weekend!) it’s also walled off and obscured from view. Pin Central Construction Meanwhile, Electric Umbrella has finally folded up and is also hidden behind walls. We don’t know exactly what will fill Electric Umbrella’s former space, but stay tuned for future updates! Electric Umbrella Construction Read about the Electric Umbrella Closure here! Just what exactly is going on behind these construction walls that warrants such a large chunk of the park being closed off to guests? In addition to Dreamer’s Point, Future World will grow into three new neighborhoods — World Discovery, World Nature, and World Celebration! We’re talkin’ a MAJOR transformation of epic Epcot proportions! Epcot Construction Read more about the new neighborhoods coming to Epcot HERE! Guest Services Still feeling a little turned around? Guest Relations is located next to Spaceship Earth with Cast Members happy to point you in the right direction! Guest Relations Pathway Between Future World and the World Showcase Thankfully Epcot’s Festival of the Arts has helped make some of these construction walls less of an eyesore. They’re playing host to the festival’s interactive murals, like this one you’ll find directly behind No Man’s Land facing Spaceship Earth. We wonder if there will be some way to pretty up these rather sad-looking walls when Epcot’s other festivals begin — like Epcot’s Flower and Garden Festival which kicks off next month! Festival of the Arts Mural And you’ll find festival merch booths throughout the area immediately surrounding the Paint-By-Number mural which also leads over to the temporary Starbucks location and eventually the World Showcase! Remember, no matter which way you head, left or right, you’ll end up here at some point! World Showcase Outdoor Shops Exit To leave Epcot, there’s now a temporary exit location set-up on the far right from the park’s main turnstiles. Epcot Park Exit Yikes! That was a lot of walls, but we hope this gives you some idea of how you’ll be getting around at Epcot — at least, for now! And of course, we’ll keep you updated as Epcot continues to re-shape and restructure its many paths to accessing its various classic and coming soon attractions! Are you excited to see the finished Epcot Transformation? Let us know in the comments below! Related posts: Electric Umbrella Has Officially CLOSED at Epcot! 10. We wrap up this year’s Disney Parks Moms Panel Awards with our panelists’ top picks at the Disneyland Resort. There were not a lot of changes this year, but we do have a brand-new winner for favorite restaurant! Let’s check out this year’s top vote-getters. Favorite Snack Who does not love a good snack? Our panelists love snacks, and apparently, at Disneyland Resort, there simply is no snack like the churro … the winner supreme once again! Not sure where you can try this delectable treat? Churros are available at Churro Carts, Señor Buzz Churros, and the Cozy Cone Motel. Honorable mentions in this category go to corn dogs, that were a super close second this year, as well as the beloved Mickey beignets. Favorite Restaurant Move over Blue Bayou Restaurant, there is a new winner this year. For 2020, the panelists selected Napa Rose as their favorite restaurant. The upscale restaurant is known for its extensive wine list and outstanding menu items, but it’s also a favorite because of the Disney Princess Breakfast Adventures. Blue Bayou Restaurant was a close second with a great deal of nods going to Carthay Circle Restaurant and Carnation Cafe. Favorite Attraction to Enjoy with a Preschooler While there might have been an upset in our restaurant category, the favorite here remained the same. Yes, “it’s a small world” took the top honors once again. The nostalgia of the ride brings back many great memories for our panelists, and they love sharing the attraction with their little ones now. Peter Pan’s Flight was a very close second. Maybe next year Peter Pan! Favorite Show We wrap up this year’s Disneyland Resort Awards with the winner for the favorite show, and once again the top honor goes to “World of Color.” Our panel loves everything this show offers and calls it one of the best ways to end your best day ever at Disneyland Resort! Congratulations to this year’s winners! We hope you enjoyed this award season as much as we did, and we look forward to next year’s awards. Remember for more great tips on planning your next Disneyland vacation, or for general Disney vacation questions, visit DisneyParksMomsPanel.com for an answer from one of our panelists. 11. JAMBO, friends, from Disney World’s Animal Kingdom Lodge! Uzima Springs Pool Bar We’re back underneath the thatched roof that covers Uzima Springs Pool Bar to try another one of the new cocktails exclusive to this location! Because even though it’s still winter, temps are heading into the high 80s here in Orlando this week. So what better time to try the new frozen Safari Mudslide? You may recall our recent visit to Uzima Springs when we sipped on the African Sunset. (And you can read the review of that frozen fruity refresher here!) Along with the Flamingo Mule, the Safari Mudslide completes this new trio of beverages. Uzima Springs Pool Bar Exclusive Drinks The Safari Mudslide ($14.00) is a spin on the classic cocktail, adding Amarula Liquor to the Kahlua and Vodka (Snow Leopard, in this instance). Safari Mudslide The creamy mixture is presented in a glass drizzled with chocolate syrup. What’s not to love, right? Except… Safari Mudslide Even though all the ingredients lend to what should be a stellar drink, our blend was surprisingly heavy on the milk base, with barely any flavor coming through from the alcohol. It was basically like drinking frozen milk. This is especially a bummer given the unique and terrific taste we enjoy from Amarula, which is a key ingredient in our beloved Zebra Domes, after all. Zebra Domes We’re hoping ours was an off mix, because the components are all there for a great pool sip, especially for those who prefer drinks that are less sweet than the African Sunset. That said, we really did enjoy the African Sunset, so we can recommend that choice from the exclusive beverages. Safari Mudslide And, of course, it’s never a bad day to enjoy pretty much anything at Disney World’s beautiful Animal Kingdom Lodge! Which new drink would you choose at Uzima Springs Pool Bar? Ahead of the big race, NASCAR Cup Series drivers Ryan Blaney and Bubba Wallace high-tailed it over to Walt Disney World from the speedway to experience Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge at Disney’s Hollywood Studios. During their visit, Bubba and Ryan strolled through merchant shops in the Black Spire Outpost Marketplace. The duo befriended several Kowakian Monkey-Lizards, a favorite pet for denizens of the galaxy’s underworld, at the Creature Stall. These NASCAR Cup Series drivers are pros when it comes to driving race cars. How well did they fare when piloting the fastest hunk of junk in the galaxy? 18. While Walt Disney World is getting ready for its big 50th-anniversary celebration next year, there’s been a frenzy of construction and refurbishment happening throughout its theme parks and resorts! Cinderella Castle And while our attention has been focused a lot of Epcot right now as we get ready for Regal Eagle Smokehouse, Space 220 Restaraunt, Remy’s Ratatouille Adventure, and Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind to debut, we just found out something MAJOR is about to happen at Magic Kingdom! Magic Kingdom is the beating heart of Disney World, and until now it’s managed to stay relatively normal throughout the preparations for 2021’s big bash. Other than having its front entrance reconstructed and Tomorrowland’s upcoming TRON Lightcyle Run attraction, the rest of the park has remained almost untouched… until now. TRON Lightcycle Run Construction And while Disney World centers around Magic Kingdom, Magic Kingdom itself revolves around Cinderella Castle — the park’s classic icon. In a statement just released by Disney today, Cinderella Castle “is about to get even more magical” with a “royal makeover” — which in Disney-speak means it’s about to undergo a refurbishment! Cinderella Castle Disney went on to state, “You may notice this exciting work taking place as these stunning enhancements begin in the coming weeks, continuing through summer. But don’t worry! We’ll still get to catch all of our castle favorites like “Mickey’s Royal Friendship Faire” and “Happily Ever After”. Mickey’s Royal Friendship Faire Disney also released an artists’ concept of what the new castle will look like! To us, the color scheme for the newly renovated Cinderella Castle appears to have a pinkish hue! They’re also adding a sparkly gold overlay like they did with Sleeping Beauty Castle! ©Disney Artist Concept for New Cinderella Castle Even though Disney is promising guests will still get to see its famous Castle shows, at this time we’re not sure if this means the entire castle will be covered like Disneyland’s was for Project Stardust or not. We’ll cross our fingers and toes that Cinderella Castle won’t be hidden behind scrim during your Disney World vacation this spring or summer, and we’ll keep you in-the-know of any and every update as this massive project progresses! 22. Did you snag your FastPasses for Mickey and Minnie’s Runaway Railway yet? You know, the zany, trackless dark ride that takes you into Mickey and Minnie’s wacky cartoon world and where anything (and we mean ANYTHING!) can happen? Mickey and Minnie’s Runaway Railway sign Well, you might want to grab one (if they are still available) because the new attraction opens on March 4th, 2020! While we already knew the new Hollywood Studios’ attraction and first dark ride to EVER feature Mickey and Minnie Mouse would be packed with loads of new technology and special effects during a special preview we attended, we didn’t know until this morning that Mickey and Minnie’s Runaway Railway actually has 2 plots AND tons of secret surprises! Mickey & Minnie’s Runaway Railway Concept Art ©Disney See our FIRST LOOK at Mickey and Minnie’s Runaway Railway HERE! According to The Orange County Register, not only will this be the first time we’ll get to kick back and enjoy a train ride alongside our best pals Mickey and Minnie, but according to Walt Disney Imagineering’s Kevin Rafferty (who’s worked on numerous projects including Radiator Springs Racers, Toy Story Midway Mania, and Twilight Zone Tower of Terror), this attraction will be the “first one ever that has a B story in addition to the A story. It’s very clear and it’s very fun.” Mickey & Minnie’s Runaway Railway Concept Art ©Disney Find out everything you need to know about Mickey and Minnie’s Runaway Railway before it opens here! Regarding the secondary storyline, Rafferty went on to explain, “Everybody will see it… It’s subtle, but you will see it.” ©Disney Rafferty went on to discuss the new ride will also include many Hidden Easter eggs, stating, “This is the kind of attraction that there’s so much going on… Every scene is so jam-packed. It’s 10 pounds of potatoes in a five-pound bag… There’s so much to see… So many nods to such great stuff that hearkens back to the Disney studio and little nods to different things, even Imagineering. It’s going to take you many, many rides through to actually see everything. And you probably won’t even then.” Mickey & Minnie’s Runaway Railway We also learned that riders will encounter hurricanes, waterfalls, and even stampeding bulls. We can’t WAIT for our first go-around on Mickey and Minnie’s Runaway Railway when it opens March 4th and we’ll be there LIVE with our review (BOTH a spoiler-free and spoiler-version) — so don’t turn that dial!
