  1. While Disneyland is famous for churros and pretzels, it’s also a great place for some fritters! Royal Street Veranda The newest treat in the parks is a sweet take on a classic treat you are going to want to check out (Fruity fritters?? Um, yes pls). While we’ve previously tried the Cure All Fritters for the Haunted Mansion Anniversary, the Royal Street Veranda is now frying up Berry Cheesecake Fritters! Royal Street Veranda Sign These fritters have a fresh strawberry filling, which is fried and then topped with powdered sugar! And, they even come with a cheesecake frosting dip for a lil extra sweetness. (Plus, you know we couldn’t avoid making a Hidden Mickey!! ;D) Hidden Mickey Fritters? Although fritters usually might have a jelly or jam filling, the Berry Cheesecake Fritters come with freshly sliced strawberries. Buuut since the fruit is warmed, they have a strange texture that we didn’t love too much. While the outside is crispy, the fruit on the inside is quite mushy (so we would have liked the jelly better instead, tbh). Berry Cheesecake Fritters The dip, though, is the best part of the fritters! The cheesecake flavor is on the lighter side, so the dip reminds us more of a cream cheese frosting (which we totally can’t get enough of!). It adds an extra bit of sweetness to the fried batter that ties the fritters together a bit more. Cheesecake Frosting Dip If you really love fritters or you just want some of that cheesecake dip (guilty as charged), you can get the Berry Cheesecake Fritters for $5.49! Berry Cheesecake Fritters And, you can check out the Candy Shoppe Sundae for another dessert while you’re in the area! Check out more Disneyland Food Reviews Here!! 2. If you’ve ever been to the Disney Parks, you’ll know that ice cream and cotton candy are practically snack staples. Downtown Disney’s Uva Bar While we’ve already given you a sneak peek at the newest (and SWEETEST) sundae coming to Downtown Disney, we had to taste one to see if this really is the sugar rush of our dreams! That’s right! The Candy Shoppe Sundae has been swirled up at UVA Bar and Cafe, and it tastes just as epic as it looks! Candy Shoppe Sundae The sundae is piled high with vanilla ice cream, Jolly Rancher cotton candy, Pop Rocks, whipped cream, and strawberry sauce. So basically, it’s a cavity in a glass! ;D Vanilla Ice Cream and Strawberry Sauce! If you think that Black Tap Craft Burgers and Shakes has some crazy desserts, the Candy Shoppe Sundae is one of the most fun treats we’ve had in Downtown Disney! Let’s Dig In!! The vanilla ice cream caused the cotton candy to cave in, but the light flavor pairs wonderfully with the sweet strawberry sauce and slight crunch from the Pop Rocks. Sweet and Fruity Flavors The entire glass is basically filled with cotton candy… so this treat is definitely for all you cotton candy lovers out there! (Disneyland cotton candy is some of the best!) Candy Shoppe Sundae If you’re looking for a sweet way to spend your day, you can grab the Candy Shoppe Sundae for $10. You may have to ask for it at UVA since we didn’t see a sign for it! You can see all the new things we spotted on our last trip to Downtown Disney HERE! Check out more Disneyland Food Reviews Here!! 3. S-U-G-A-R, jump into your racing car! Vanellope’s Sweets & Treats It’s time to cruise on over to the Disney Dream ’cause we’re trying some of the most adorable Easter treats around! If you’ve ever been on the Dream, you’ll know that Vanellope’s Sweets & Treats is a great spot for dessert on the high seas. This adorable sweets shop is celebrating Easter early with special holiday treats! Vanellope’s Interior But, before we taste anything… we’ve gotta stop for a minute to admire how CUTE Vanellope’s is! It’s like you’re stepping right into the world of “Sugar Rush,” complete with plenty of candy… Vanellope’s Candy and Snacks …and even a few photo opportunities with some of your favorite Wreck It Ralph characters! (It’s a good thing that’s not a double stripe Candy Cane, Vanellope!) Vanellope Herself! Now to the treats, Stinkbrains! Although there are so many things to choose from (ice cream, cupcakes, cookies), the new Easter treats caught our eye at Vanellope’s. Easter Treats The Easter Bunny Cupcake is a carrot cake topped with lemon buttercream, a white chocolate shavings, and a chocolate bunny. Easter Bunny Cupcake While we usually LOVE a good carrot cake, we have to say that this one is a bit too dry for us. It didn’t have that soft melt-in-your-mouth texture that we really go for in a carrot cake! Most of the moisture from the comes from the thick lemon buttercream on top (literally, it’s piled so high, you guys). And, although we think that the buttercream has a nice tart flavor, it doesn’t really work with the carrot cake. Easter Bunny Cupcake The lemon is pretty overpowering compared to the carrot cake, so the flavors just don’t combine together like we were hoping (sad face). Even if you are a carrot cake STAN, you might want to skip this treat and hold out for a good ole’ cream cheese frosting and carrot cake combo instead! Easter Bunny Cupcake Next up is the Easter Blondie Brownie, topped with a chocolate truffle mousse, sprinkles, a sugar “nest”, and jelly bean “eggs”. Easter Blondie Brownie Um, this might just be one of the cutest Easter treats EVER!! Just look at it! Easter Blondie Just like the Easter Bunny Cupcake, we aren’t really digging the flavors of the Easter Blondie Brownie either. The blondie doesn’t have much of a taste, so it’s a little too bland. The chocolate mousse on top is rich and tasty, but there isn’t enough of it to make up for the lack of sweetness from the blondie. We did love the addition of the jelly beans, though, for a burst of fruity flavor!! Easter Blondie Even though we didn’t really vibe with the Easter treats, Vanellope’s is still a must-see spot to visit if you’re on the Dream! If you still want that adorable Insta photo out at sea, you can grab the Easter Bunny Cupcake and Blondie Brownie for $4.50 each! 4. For Erin and Hannah Herman, today, February 21, is affectionately known as the “Hannahversary,” marking 10 years to the day when Erin adopted Hannah from an orphanage in Kazakhstan. It was an extra special day because together they ran the Disney Princess 5K at Walt Disney World even though a decade ago, doctors doubted Hannah would ever walk. As an infant, Hannah had been left in a maternity hospital in Kazakhstan. She was also born with a severe club foot, and the adoption agency told Erin that it was likely Hannah would never walk. Despite this challenge, Erin brought Hannah back to her hometown of Cincinnati, Ohio where they immediately began treatments including surgery and physical therapy. More than one year later, at the age of two, Hannah walked for the first time. Since then, Hannah has continued to defy the odds, running and swimming competitively. Her goal is to complete a triathlon and today, Hannah took a step toward that goal by completing the Disney Princess 5K. Hand-in-hand with her mother, who helped rewrite Hannah’s story from her infancy, Hannah conquered all 3.1 magical miles! View the full article

  15. When cast members Michael and Scott Stile first started working at Walt Disney World Resort five years ago, they never could have guessed it was only the beginning of what would become an identical career journey. As Central Florida locals, the love these brothers have for Disney began at a young age. The fond memories they have of experiencing the Disney magic as kids is what ultimately ignited their passion for wanting to create that same magic for others. From their early days as convention guides to joining the Disney Professional Internship Program, the pair eventually landed their dream roles on the industrial engineering team. And, best of all, they were together every step of the way. As associate industrial engineers, they are able to combine their passion for magic-making with their love of all things STEM. Michael, Scott and their team help make sure a visit to Walt Disney World is as magical and seamless as possible by applying science, technology, engineering and math concepts to the guest experience, including exciting new offerings like Disney Skyliner and Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge. “We never could have planned how closely our Disney stories would play out,” Scott said. “It’s an incredible experience getting to work together each day at a company we love.” We love learning about such unique stories of our cast members and celebrating their career growth—and it’s even more special when that growth happens alongside a loved one. If you, too, are interested in exploring the many STEM opportunities available at Walt Disney World Resort, visit disneycareers.com to learn more. View the full article

  17. The Marketplace at Disney Springs has always been the go-to destination for personalized Disney merchandise. From our talented customization artists at Disney’s Days of Christmas (who hand-paint and hand-letter the most beautiful ornaments) to Disney’s Wonderful World of Memories where you can get your favorite pair of Mickey ears embroidered, there are so many fun ways to add a personal touch to your Disney finds. One of my favorite personalization experiences is D-Tech on Demand at Marketplace Co-Op. This unique tech boutique opened as one of the original six stores in 2014 and continues to be the ultimate destination for customized mobile phone cases, MagicBands, accessories and more. Today, I’m excited to share that our Disney Parks Merchandise Team has continued to evolve the D-Tech on Demand experience and is now offering MADE—a new and expanded way to customize and create your own Disney merchandise. With MADE, you’ll now be able to create customized apparel, including short and long-sleeved T-shirts, (even Disney Springs designs) from a library of Disney art to celebrate everything from family vacations, birthdays, seasonal holidays and more. (Don’t worry, you’ll still be able to customize phone cases, MagicBands, magnets, and commemorative bricks as well.) Creating your design is as easy as selecting the accessory or apparel item you’d like to customize, Disney art, choosing a color, and adding your name. Purchases are ready for pick-up in just a few hours or conveniently delivered to your Disney resort or shipped home. Guests will start to see this new brand transitioning at current D-Tech on Demand locations inside our retail stores including: Magic Kingdom Park – Tomorrowland Light & Power Co.*, Frontierland Trading Post, and Curtain Call Collectables Disney’s Hollywood Studios – Star Wars Launch Bay and Celebrity 5 & 10 Shop Disney Springs – Marketplace Co-Op* and NBA Experience Disneyland Resort – Star Wars Launch Bay and Star Traders (*At this time, customized apparel options are available exclusively at Tomorrowland Light & Power Co. and Marketplace Co-Op.) New designs and art will be continually added to the MADE experience throughout the year so be sure to always check and see what’s new. I’m so excited to see what you create! Share your photos with us using #DisneySprings for a chance to be featured on our social media channels. View the full article
