While Disney World is already buzzing about the new Spike the Bee Sipper coming to Epcot’s Flower and Garden Festival this year, we recently discovered another special treat to “bee” excited about! Bee Cupcake That’s right! We just spotted this adorable Bee Cupcake buzzing around the Animal Kingdom! While we already shared a sneak peek with ya, we needed to try this adorable cupcake out for ourselves. Celebrating our yellow and black stripey friends, the new Bee Cupcake is an orange cake filled with honey-flavored custard topped with buttercream, white-chocolate honeycomb, and sugar bees! Bee Cupcake Hey, it might not be springtime quite yet, but this cupcake is so cheery and BRIGHT, it definitely has us thinking about what types of flowers we’ll be planting in our gardens this year! Today, we’re continuing our special cartoon poster series celebrating the March 4 debut of Mickey & Minnie’s Runaway Railway at Disney’s Hollywood Studios with new art inspired by the fun “Potatoland” short. As you can see, our new “Potatoland” poster features Mickey Mouse, Goofy and Donald Duck at the entrance of a one-of-a-kind theme park! In the video short, Mickey and Donald try to make Goofy’s dream come true by building a surprise theme park of potatoes! You’ll soon be able to experience the surprises of Mickey’s cartoon universe like never before at Mickey & Minnie’s Runaway Railway. During each adventure, you’ll enter the NEW Mickey Mouse cartoon short “Perfect Picnic” for an one-of-a-kind adventure where anything can happen. Why? Because here, mouse rules apply! Outer Rim Lounge at Disney’s Contemporary Resort Outer Rim at Disney’s Contemporary Resort has been featured lately as a hot spot for fun, specialty beverages. After Villaintine’s Day, we were hoping to see their menu continue to offer seasonal drinks, and we’re happy to report that they’re celebrating the marathon with two specialty cocktails available this weekend only! Starting on Saturday, February 22, sip on two specialty drinks, The Princess Medal and The Glass Slipper, as a perfect way to wind down after the run! The Princess Medal & The Glass Slipper The Princess Medal mixes Passion Fruit Syrup, all-natural lemonade, Freixenet Brut, and GOLD PIXIE DUST! Sounds like a perfect, refreshing, shimmery glass of sparkle and glitter! The Epcot International Festival of the Arts is entering into its final stretch, and there is still plenty of new artful fun and entertainment this weekend! The Disney on Broadway Concert Series has dazzled thousands of guests since its January debut. Five outstanding Broadway star duos have brought sensational fun and entertainment to the America Gardens Theater stage, and we are thrilled to introduce you to the sixth and final pair of performers! Syndee Winters, most recently known for playing Nala in “The Lion King” on Broadway, and Michael James Scott, also known as the Genie in “Aladdin” on Broadway, are first-time Disney on Broadway Concert Series performers this year. Performing this weekend, this Florida-grown duo will alternate nights of performances with fellow Broadway stars, Ashley Brown and Josh Strickland. You can catch all four performing together in a series of special joint performances on Feb. 24, the last night of the Epcot International Festival of the Arts. It seems like every time we stroll down the aisles of our local grocery stores lately, there’s another new Disney treat to try! Hollywood Boulevard We noticed some menus saw a little shake-up and there’s new merch for your next red carpet premiere. Let’s jump in! Hollywood Studios Food Update Sci-Fi Dine-In We noticed some new items had been added to the dine-in tribute to B movies. The Barbecue Platter has been completely removed, but we’ve also seen the Falafel Burger replaced by the far out Flying Saucer Burger. The Spicy Martian Margarita did not survive the purge either and has been replaced by the Habanero Lime Martian Margarita just in time for National Margarita Day this Saturday. Sci-Fi Dine-In new menu If you want a barbecue fix, Regal Eagle at Epcot is now open! Pixar Place Folks, we’re going to have to get our Key Lime Pie experience somewhere else now, because Neighborhood Bakery is no longer selling the pie popsicle. No word yet on if this is a permanent change, but fingers crossed it’ll be back soon! Hollywood Studios Moment of Zen After braving the 5th dimension on Tower of Terror, we spotted a PhotoPass photographer who was taking glamour shots just outside of Tower Hotel Gifts. We haven’t seen the photographers in this area before and the Hollywood Tower Hotel just makes for such a great backdrop, even if it is haunted by Rod Serling. My godson loved pirates when he was a tot. He would dress up as Captain Hook – red-feathered hat, tall boots, and menacing hook – during trips to the grocery store, the playground and of course when he explored Disney theme parks. He was also engrossed in the fantastic tales of Captain Jack Sparrow and his scallywags. I think most youngsters are intrigued by the mysterious, and sometimes unsavory pirate scene. Whether it’s embarking on a quest for hidden treasure, sailing the seas or singing along with rogue pirates, there’s plenty of pirate-themed ventures for little ones throughout the Vacation Kingdom. Here are just a couple of ways “to get your pirate on” at Walt Disney World Resort. Pirates of the Caribbean – Families are swept away into a pirate’s world on this iconic Magic Kingdom Park adventure. Little ones will love the sailing voyage that includes an encounter with Black Beard, a pirate raid with villainous Captain Barbossa and Captain Jack Sparrow, and more during this scenic peek into 17th century pirate life. And good luck trying to get “Yo Ho, Yo Ho a pirate’s life for me” unstuck from your mind. The nearby Adventureland gift shop features all sorts of swords, eye patches, gems and countless treasures sure to engage your little one. Captain Hook’s Pirate Crew – Shiver me timbers. Captain Hook is looking for new recruits at a treasure seeking, high-energy sailing escapade at Disney’s Beach Club Resort. Parents can drop off their little one (ages 4 and up) and they can learn all about being a buccaneer on the high seas. Kids will learn pirate lingo, solve puzzles and gather clues on land before cruising around Crescent Lake on a quest for some pirate booty. The fun-filled evening culminates with a feast fit for pirate. It’s an ideal option for parents looking for a way to entertain their youngsters while they are on a date night at Disney. Pirate Rooms – There’s even sea-worthy quarters fit for swashbucklers at Disney’s Caribbean Beach Resort. These special pirate rooms decked out with nautical accents, furniture crafted from crates and barrels, and authentic ship-themed beds will surely delight me hearties! If you want to amp it up even more, there’s a pirate themed in-room celebration where Captain Jack leaves clues leading to a treasure chest overflowing with pirate-themed goodies. And don’t forget you can spot Captain Hook and Mr. Smee during the daily “Festival of Fantasy Parade” that winds thru Magic Kingdom Park. Disney has been releasing TONS of new ears lately. From the new Pirates of the Caribbean ears to the new United Kingdom-inspired ears, we’ve seen a wide variety of options. Pirate Minnie Ears But we don’t think we’ve ever seen a pair quite like these… Get ready because Disney is releasing a pair of ears that look just like Mickey Balloons! Much like the balloons you’ll find throughout the parks, these ears are clear and even have Mickey’s adorable little face on the inside! ©DisneyStyle We seriously cannot wait to snap dozens of pics with the balloons in front of the renovated castle in these new ears! Disney keeps getting more and more creative with their ears and we’re eager to see what they come up with next. While the details Disney’s shared about this experience are almost as mysterious as the powers of the Forbidden Eye, we figured we’d pass along what little info we know so far! Indiana Jones Adventure Next month, Annual Passholders will get to go on an after-park hours ride of the thrilling Adventureland attraction — Indiana Jones Adventure! The dates of this after-hours adventure are set for March 4th and March 5th. Wristbands will be required and will only be given out while supplies last! World of Disney at Disney Springs We’re going on a shopping spree today and looking at A TON of merch that’s made its way to the springs. Let’s dive in! Disney Springs Food Update We decided to check-in at Exposition Park to pick up some yummy treats from the food trucks, but we were shocked to see several of the trucks are missing right now! The case of the missing food trucks! The Mac and Cheese Truck was the only truck we saw. Don’t worry, the food trucks sometimes do move to other areas of the resort, but we’ll let you know once we learn more about the situation. Disney Springs Merchandise Update Ever After Jewelry Co. With another week quickly coming to an end, it’s time to share the latest edition of our new series featuring must-do weekend experiences at the Walt Disney World Resort. If you’re visiting this weekend, head to EPCOT to try the new, and distinctly patriotic, Regal Eagle Smokehouse: Craft Drafts & Barbecue in The American Adventure Pavilion. This new fast-casual restaurant is named after the “regal-est” of eagles, Sam Eagle from The Muppets. At Regal Eagle Smokehouse, you’ll find a variety of backyard barbecue selections from across the country including Kansas City Smoked Chicken, Memphis Dry-Rub Pork Ribs, a plant-based BBQ Jackfruit burger, and more. And while we’re still a few weeks from the March 6 opening of Disney and Pixar’s “Onward,” new merchandise from the film is already available at the Walt Disney World Resort. This weekend, embark on a “quest” to World of Disney for T-shirts, hoodies, Barley & Ian plush toys, deluxe figurine sets, pins, Funko Pop Figures – there’s even a wizard staff! My fellow Disney food fans, do we have a treat for you today! DogEatz Treatz Well, okay… it’s not exactly a treat for you. Disney has just been blessing us with Baby Yoda surprises today! We finally got to see what the Build-A-Bear Workshop The Child plush was going to look like. The Child plush Disney also just recently revealed a whole slew of new Baby Yoda plush figures and other merch that took our breath away, but the Baby Yoda invasion is not over! We’ve spotted a new shirt in Disneyland that you’re definitely going to want to “Force” yourself to buy! Over at Downtown Disney’s World of Disney, we found this new The Child Spirit Jersey that almost matches the adult version. The light green tones perfectly blend with our little green friend here.
