We have to say it is a B-E-A-U-TIFUL day to be eating our way around the Disney California Adventure Food and Wine Festival! Although we’ve already seen some delicious booths like I Heart Artichokes and Cluck-A-Doodle-Moo, we’re not done yet! Garlic Kissed Next up on the docket, we’re heading over to the Garlic Kissed booth to try some interesting creations made with one of our fave flavors. Oh garlic, how we love you! With some new and returning hits, this booth is sure to be a tasty locale. Food Nothing like a full menu of yummy-looking food to get us in the mood to try things out! Garlic Kissed Menu The returning fave at this booth is the Black Garlic Soy-braised Pork Belly Banh Mi for $8. This was a super-filling option at the booth last year! It’s a mini french roll filled with pork belly and seasoned mayonnaise, then topped with sliced jalapeños, pickled carrots, and daikon. Black Garlic Soy-braised Pork Belly Banh Mi If you were a fan of this dish last year, expect to find the same banh mi with good pork belly and really no surprises. Black Garlic Soy-braised Pork Belly Banh Mi Interestingly enough, this is the only returning item. Wait! No more Creamy Mac & Cheese??? Waaaah…..!? Well don’t despair, there’s a new mac in town and its name is Carbonara Garlic Mac & Cheese with Nueske’s Bacon for $8. Carbonara Garlic Mac & Cheese with Nueske’s Bacon Our fears were certainly put to rest because this was a STAR dish for us at the festival this year! When you mix LEGIT pieces of bacon with super flavorful crumbs on top, you have a full plate of WOW. Carbonara Garlic Mac & Cheese with Nueske’s Bacon Beverages As for drinks, both of the sippin’ options are new this year! We tried out the Aperol Cocktail for $14.75 which was a mix of Aperol, Vodka, Ginger Liqueur, Simply Grapefruit, Simply Orange, and Ginger Beer! Aperol Cocktail This drink really packs a punch! Aperol has a very specific and perhaps polarizing flavor that we found could be a love-it-or-hate-it situation for you. Regardless, it is a STRONG drink. Aperol Cocktail Or if you’re more of a wino, there’s a light and refreshing Sauvignon Blanc from Winter Hills in Marlborough. Grab a glass for $14. Our fave item from this booth? It has to be that Mac & Cheese!! Cheesy pasta AND bacon? How can we pass that up? Click here to check out ALL of the booths at the Disney California Adventure Food and Wine Festival! Last year we saw the debut of the all-new booth, Berry Patch, at the Disney California Adventure Food and Wine Festival! Berry Patch Booth We are thrilled to see this booth return in 2020 with brand new eats and berry-inspired drinks, which will be the perfect refresher between the many savory options at the festival. Come along with us as we check out everything this berrylicious booth has to offer! Food Berry Patch Menu We started off our adventure at the Berry Patch by picking up the NEW Raspberry-Lychee-Rose Custard with Mixed Berry Compote for $6.00. Raspberry-Lychee-Rose Custard with Mixed Berry Compote To our berry trained palettes, the custard tasted straight up like yogurt with jam on top. The flavors were fine and all, but for the $6 price tag, we wouldn’t put this on our Food and Wine shortlist. Raspberry-Lychee-Rose Custard with Mixed Berry Compote Also, new this year is the Oikos Greek Yogurt California Berries Summer Pudding for $5.50.We heard it “contains trace amounts of alcohol” and well–we are at the Food and Wine Festival after all, so bottoms up! Oikos Greek Yogurt California Berries Summer Pudding We didn’t detect any booze inside but found this dessert to be super light and refreshing. The textures might not work out for you since the bread was a little mushy, but others in our group really enjoyed it! Oikos Greek Yogurt California Berries Summer Pudding Drinks While you’re already in the Berry Patch, you can pick up one (or three!) of the new refreshing drinks! Adults can try the Blue Marble Hard Seltzers (Alcoholic) in either Berry or Tropical flavor for $13.00 each. We opted for the non-alcoholic Ruby Citrus Sparkler for $5 which is also kiddo-friendly! Ruby Citrus Sparkler We found the Ruby Citrus Sparkler to be super yummy! It’s perfectly light and fruity — just be sure to mix it up while you go as the berries tend to fall to the bottom! Berry Patch Berry Patch is definitely bringing berry back this year, so be sure to stop by if you’re looking for a sweet and refreshing tart treat! Artichoke lovers rejoice because I “Heart” Artichokes has returned to the 2020 Disney California Adventure Food and Wine Festival! I Heart Artichokes Booth Get ready for some savory bites and all new beverages as you come along with us for a full review of this booth! Food I Heart Artichokes Menu First up, we check out a snack featured here last year: Fried Artichokes with Lemon Aïoli. This vegetarian offering will set you back a cool $7! They have removed the Blue Diamond Almonds this year. Fried Artichokes Maybe it was just a bum batch, but our Fried Artichokes we were kinda bland. Texturally, they were a little overdone for our liking. If you really do heart artichokes though (like the name of the booth says!) you might still enjoy this little dish! Fried Artichokes The booth also offers another returning vegetarian option– Artichoke Toast with Artichoke Cream Cheese (an addition to the dish this year) and Olive & Artichoke Tapenade for $6.50. Artichoke Toast This dish was really tasty, especially if you’re an olive lover — if not, this one might be a hard pass since it is very tapenade-y! The spread itself was our favorite part while the crostini was nicely toasted but still soft in the middle! We’re talkin’ total yum factor! Beverages To wash down the fried artichokes or toast, you can grab a Spanish Lolea Red Sangria for $11.00. Or, for a lower alcohol option, you can try out Brooklyn Brewery’s Special Effects Non-Alcoholic Lager (Alcohol regulations apply) for $10.00. It’s official — we HEART Artichokes! We still “heart” artichokes and were happy to see two menu items return from last year! Make sure you, too, “heart” artichokes if you’re looking to try out these snacks because no amount of bread or frying will hide that you are eating artichokes! You know we’ve loved ourselves some Cluck-A-Doodle-Moo sliders and wings ever since this booth debuted in 2018! We were super stoked when we found out this Food and Wine Festival favorite would be returning to Disney California Adventure in 2020! Cluck a Doodle Moo Booth And while we were a little bummed to find out the Salt and Vinegar Parmesan Chicken Wings and Grilled Beef Tenderloin Slider with Chimichurri Sauce that we LOVED last year have been switched up, we can’t wait to try their new selections! Food This year, Cluck-A-Doodle-Moo is serving Ranch Fried Chicken Wings with a Buffalo Hot Sauce Drizzle for $8. Ranch Fried Chicken Wings While these wings were good, we found that the hot sauce overpowered the ranch flavor, so if you’re averse to spicy foods, you’ve been warned! These left us kind of missing last year’s Salt and Vinegar Parmesan Wings! Ranch Fried Chicken Wings with Buffalo Hot Sauce Drizzle And while there’s still a Beef Tenderloin Slider on the menu, this year’s version features a new sauce and comes topped with caramelized onions. The French Onion Grilled Beef Tenderloin Slider costs $8.50. French Onion Grilled Beef Tenderloin Slider The French Onion Slider was a highlight of this booth for us! The meat was cooked medium and came out super tender. It had a great flavor but was not overpowering! Disney should seriously consider adding a full size version of this to one of their restaurants because we would totally order it! French Onion Grilled Beef Tenderloin Slider For the first time, Cluck-A-Doodle-Moo is dishing out a dessert! We’ve been ready to dig into this new Chocolate Hazelnut Crunch for $6.50. Chocolate Hazelnut Crunch This hazelnut ball had mousse, ganache, and a whole hazelnut in the middle. It was certainly yummy, but very hazelnut-centric which came across as very one-note. Chocolate Hazelnut Crunch But hey, if hazelnut is your flavor of choice, you’d probably enjoy this treat! Beverages Don’t let its silly name fool you — Cluck-A-Doodle-Moo’s beverage list is SERIOUS business! Cluck a Doodle Moo We spotted a ton of new brews including the Kronenbourg 1664 Blanc Witbier for $11.75! Can’t make up your mind? Go with one of Cluck-A-Doo-Moo’s Beer Flights! For $15, you can sample these four local beers or buy them by the glass for the prices shown below! Pizza Port California Honey Blonde Golden Ale – $11.75 Golden Road Pineapple Cart Wheat Ale – $11.75 Coast Brewery Watermelon Wheat Ale – $11.75 King Harbor Brewing Cerveza Hermosa Mexican Amber Lager – $11.75 For $16, you can choose the Michelada Flight which includes a different array of beers, which are also available for purchase separately for the prices shown below. Pizza Port California Honey Blonde Michelada – $12.25 Golden Road Pineapple Cart Michelada – $12.25 Lost Coast Watermelon Wheat Michelada – $12.25 King Harbor Brewing Cerveza Hermosa Michelada – $12.25 Despite the changes to the menu, we were still happy to see Cluck-A-Doo-Moo at Disney California Adventure’s Food and Wine Festival! At Walt Disney World Resort, we know how important it is to give guests options so they can plan their visit in a way that’s right for them. As we continue to grow, we’re introducing a new Disney Dining Plan option for Disney Resort hotel guests and a new ticket add-on, the “Water Park and Sports Option,” to help guests discover more of our offerings, at a great value. Disney Dining Plan Plus Starting Feb. 27, Disney Resort hotel guests can add Disney Dining Plan Plus to their vacation package. A Disney dining plan offers something for everyone as it is a convenient and flexible way for Walt Disney World guests to pre-pay for meals and eat at dining locations throughout our four theme parks, Disney Resort hotels and select locations at Disney Springs. With Disney Dining Plan Plus, guests get two meals per night of their package stay to redeem at either table service restaurants, quick service locations, character dining experiences, or a combination – giving them more flexibility. In addition, the Disney Dining Plan Plus option includes two snacks per night, one Disney Resort hotel refillable drink mug (which can be used at any Disney Resort hotel quick-service location), and at each meal, unlimited refills of fountain sodas, single-service teas and brewed coffee, or one non-alcoholic specialty beverage, and for guests 21 and older with valid ID, one beer, wine or cocktail. Meals can be redeemed in any order and in any combination. Unused meals and snacks rollover day to day so you can use them whenever you want during your stay. To learn more about what is included with each meal and how the new Disney Dining Plan Plus compares to the other Disney dining plan options, visit Disneyworld.com/dineplans. As Walt Disney World Resort continues to grow, there are so many amazing dining experiences for guests to enjoy, from new table-service restaurants like Toledo – Tapas, Steak & Seafood and Topolino’s Terrace – Flavors of the Riviera, to favorite quick-service options like Docking Bay 7 at Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge and Satu’li Canteen at Pandora – The World of Avatar. New Water Park and Sports Option The Water Park and Sports Option, available as an add-on to select theme park tickets for $70 plus tax, allows guests to choose between enjoying the splashiest thrills at Disney’s Typhoon Lagoon or Disney’s Blizzard Beach, living their basketball dreams at The NBA Experience, attending events at ESPN Wide World of Sports Complex and testing their abilities at Disney’s Oak Trail Golf Course, FootGolf at Disney’s Oak Trail Golf Course, Disney’s Fantasia Gardens Miniature Golf Course or Disney’s Winter Summerland Miniature Golf Course. This is a great option whether you’re visiting for the first time or looking to enjoy Disney in a new way! The total number of admissions you receive with this option is based on the length of your theme park ticket. For example, with a 3-day ticket that includes the Water Park and Sports Option, you will receive three visits to any of these locations. And, it’s flexible! You can use all your admissions on the same day or repeat the same experience across multiple days. Click here to learn more. Walt Disney World Resort is bustling with excitement right now, with groundbreaking lands like Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge, Toy Story Land, and Pandora – The World of Avatar, seasonal festivals, and three new films at Epcot and more.
