  1. If you tuned in to the #DisneyParksLIVE event earlier this week, you saw the red-carpet premiere of Mickey & Minnie’s Runaway Railway at Disney’s Hollywood Studios. What you didn’t know at the time was that the moment was made even more special due to some of our very own cast members who had the opportunity to bring their families to take part in the ceremony. We had a chance to speak with some of the parents – our cast members – just before the big moment. Even after 31 years as a cast member, Sharon Richardson still gets excited when new things open. “Working here is amazing every single day, but moments like this are the icing on the cake!” The evening of the dedication was the first time Sharon experienced Mickey & Minnie’s Runaway Railway with her family. What made the night even more memorable was the fact that her son, Sean, was one of the lucky kids who helped open the attraction with Mickey, Minnie and pals. Cast member Melanie Gagne shared how much she enjoyed the attraction during her cast member preview. “It’s really nice to be in the story, it was such an immersive experience!” Melanie was thrilled to bring her family along for the evening and her daughter, Savannah, was looking forward to blowing the train whistle in front of the crowd and all of the livestream viewers at home. “There hasn’t been this kind of opportunity in the past for us where you get to bring your family for the opening of a ride. I was very excited to get to share that moment with them and be some of the first to experience it!” The #DisneyCastLife is full of these types of surprise magical moments and unique opportunities, and the dedication ceremony sure was a special one for these cast families! I hope you’re able to experience Mickey & Minnie’s Runaway Railway soon and make some memories there with your own family. View the full article

We present to you: the Best of the Fest for the 2020 Epcot Flower and Garden Festival! Click here to see ALL THE FOOD at the 2019 Epcot Flower and Garden Festival! Spaceship Earth Pecan Cake at Magnolia Terrace The brand-new Magnolia Terrace food booth definitely brought some South to our mouths, but their Pecan Cake was the biggest hit with us! For $4.75, it tasted was a lot like a praline (but BETTER) because of how dense it was! But fair warning — it was SUPER sweet. The Pecan Cake comes fully loaded with Maple Whipped Cream featuring Burton’s Maple Syrup. It’s a Flower and Garden MUST if you ask us! Pecan Cake Wanna see what we thought of the new Magnolia Terrace? Read our FULL REVIEW here! Pineapple Beer Flight at Pineapple Promenade Why hurt your brain by choosing between Pineapple Promenade’s three delicious beers when there’s a simpler solution: get the Pineapple Beer Flight for $9.50! You’ll get to enjoy tasting sized pours of Collective Arts Brewing Piña Colada Sour, Maui Brewing Co. Pineapple Mana Wheat, and SweetWater Brewing Company Goin’ Coastal IPA with Pineapple! Each one is seriously tastier than the next! Pineapple Beer Flight Violet Lemonade at Pineapple Promenade Pineapple Promenade is ALSO where you’ll find one of Flower and Garden Festival’s most EPIC bevys — the famous Violet Lemonade! Frozen Desert Violet Lemonade at Pineapple Promenade Do you heart pineapples, too? Click here to read our FULL REVIEW of Pineapple Promenade! Choriqueso Torta at Jardin de Fiestas Three words: Mexican sloppy JOE!!! The Choriqueso Torta is literally the loose meat sandwich of our dreams. The crumbles of spicy Chorizo (this is highly-seasoned ground pork) along with a pile of melty Monterey Jack Cheese, and creamy Avocado Mousse is EVERYTHING. The Jalapeños add another pop of heat and the fresh Bolillo Roll it’s served on is mmm mmm tasty! For $7, we’ll be scrounging up the funds for another, and ANOTHER! Choriqueso Torta Check out what else we’d order again at Jardin de Fiestas HERE! Zeppole at Primavera Kitchen Next stop: Italy! That’s where you’ll find this returning Best of the Fest Zeppole! Zeppole Check out what else we “mangia-ed” on at the Primavera Kitchen in our FULL REVIEW here! Crispy Citrus Chicken with Orange Aïoli and Baby Greens at The Citrus Blossom The Citrus Blossom first bloomed at Epcot’s 2019 Flower and Garden Festival, and while you probably already know about the adorable Orange Bird Sipper you can get from this haven of lemon, orange, and lime, you might not know about one of its star dishes! The Crispy Citrus Chicken with Orange Aïoli and Baby Greens for $5.75 made our Best of the Fest list when it debuted last year, and we’re bestowing it with our highest honor again in 2020! Don’t sleep on this citrusy delight! Crispy Citrus Chicken Wanna know how the rest of The Citrus Blossom’s menu stacks up? Read our FULL REVIEW HERE! Orange Cream Shake in a Souvenir Orange Bird Sipper Cup at The Citrus Blossom Speaking of adorable Orange Bird Sippers, you didn’t think we could leave this lil guy off the list, did you? In fact, it seems even though he originally debuted at the fest last year, a lot of folks didn’t get the chance to claim one for themselves! You see, he sold out VERY quickly and even though he was restocked towards the end of the festival, he just as popular as EVER BEFORE! Having gotten our hands on an Orange Bird Sipper with the Orange Cream Shake for $15 we happen to know why! It’s one of the CUTEST and BEST tasting drinks at the Fest — think melty orange creamsicle thoughts! Just expect to wait in some hefty lines for him! Orange Blossom Wine Slushy in Orange Bird Honey Peach Freeze with Blueberry Vodka at The Honey Bee-stro But there’s a contender for the cuteness crown this year! A challenger has entered the RING and his name is Spike the Bee! Over at The Honey Bee-stro is where you’ll find the brand new Spike the Bee Sipper buzzin’ about the festival (but if Bee-stro is closed like it was today, you can get him at Pineapple Promenade)! And he’s not just a handsome face — his Honey Peach Freeze drink is seriously LEGIT! Look out Orange Bird — there’s some stiff competition this year! Spike the Bee Sipper Local Wildflower Honey-mascarpone Cheesecake at The Honey Bee-stro What else is buzzworthy at The Honey Bee-stro? How about the Local Wildflower Honey-Mascarpone Cheesecake with Orange Blossom Honey Ice Cream? It’s garnished with Fennel Pollen and Meringue Kisses. The sweetness from the honey with the creaminess of the cheesecake makes our hearts skip a beat! And for $5, it’s still one of our Best of the Fest favorite eats! Local Wildflower Honey Mascarpone Cheesecake Now Bee-stro wasn’t open on the festival’s opening day yesterday, but we’re including it in our Best of the Fest anyway since we know it’s coming back and we want you to be ready for it! We’ll review it again as soon as the booth opens, and will update this post as needed! Bon Bon Chicken Skewer at Lotus House Get ready to shake your bon bon! This dish isn’t much of a looker, but the Bon Bon Chicken Skewer with Sesame and Peanut Sauce is new this year, and it’s PACKED with so much flavor! The sauce is what really sets this skewer off for us! We definitely recommend adding it to your festival eats bucket list for $6.50! Bon Bon Chicken Skewer Marco Boba at Lotus House Marco? POLO! If you LOVE iced coffee drinks, look no further than the NEW Marco Boba! It’s a delicious mixture of Amaretto, iced coffee, milk, and of course boba pearls! Marco Boba Click here to read our FULL REVIEW of Lotus House! Grilled Street Corn on the Cob with Savory Garlic Spread at Trowel and Trellis Oh hello, Grilled Street Corn from Trowel and Trellis! Grab the veggie alternative to Disney World’s giant turkey leg for yourself for $5.75! Grilled Street Corn Bloomin’ Blueberry Lemon and Ginger Tea at Trowel and Trellis We’ll always lay our spades down (at least for a quick sec) to sip on a glass of this tasty Bloomin’ Blueberry Lemon and Ginger Tea for $4.50! It’s a non-alcoholic option that tastes so dang good, we don’t even miss the booze! Bloomin’ Blueberry Lemon and Ginger Tea Of course, you can also opt for the spiked version of the Bloomin’ Blueberry Lemon and Ginger Tea (which has Tito’s Handmade Vodka in it!) and comes in a Trowel & Trellis souvenir mason jar for $15.50! Bloomin’ Blueberry Lemon and Ginger Tea with Tito’s Handmade Vodka Wanna see what we thought of the rest of Trowel & Trellis’ sips and snacks? Click HERE! Canard Confit à l’Orange at Fleur de Lys Fleur de Lys has switched up one of these classics and this year is serving a Braised Duck Confit à l’Orange with Mashed Sweet Potatoes for $6.25! We thought the flavors were especially on point and if you love duck, you’re gonna wanna try this one fo’ sure! The meat was perfectly cooked and the flaky, rich crust was sheer yumminess. Despite having such a fancy name and list of ingredients, the flavors are very approachable! Canard Confit a L’Orange Get the 411 on the rest of Fleur de Lys menu of eats and drinks here! Salmon Flower Ikura at Hanami Okay, by now the word has probably gotten out that we absolutely LOVED everything at the Hanami food booth. But if we could only highlight a few items for you to try, the Salmon Flower Ikura is a festival-MUST! For $8.25, it’s fresh-cut Salmon, Salmon Roe, Spinach and Watermelon Radish, served atop a bed of Chilled Ramen tossed with Poke Sauce! Although the salmon is uncooked, the flavor is very mellow, and the fish isn’t slimy at all. It was a little oily, but the flavors married well — plus the little “planter” it comes served in is just the sweetest thang ever! Salmon Flower Ikura Furano Martini at Hanami Meanwhile, the Furano Martini was also killin’ it today! For $7.50, the drink consists of Vodka, Lavender Syrup, and Yuzu Juice! The lavender sprig garnish didn’t seem to care for the drink as much as we did (he was looking a little limp!), but we were fans of the complexity and sweetness this plucky drink had to offer! If you like craft cocktails, this is for you. Furano Martini Click here to READ our GLOWING review of Hanami’s menu HERE! Fried Cauliflower with Capers, Garlic Parsley, and Chili Ranch Sauce at Taste of Marrakesh Cauliflower FOR THE WIN! We know what you’re thinking — where’s the BEEF? Where’s THE CHEESE??? Funny you should ask! We too are always surprised by how delicious this festival eat is — even though there isn’t a shred of cheese in sight! The crispy pieces of Fried Cauliflower are super nummy while the brininess of the Capers and spiciness from the Chili Ranch Sauce is the real deal! See what your thoughts on Fried Cauliflower are for $7! Fried Cauliflower with Capers, Garlic, Parsley, and Chili Ranch Sauce Check out what else Taste of Marrakesh is serving at this year’s Flower and Garden Festival HERE! Additional Locations Tropical Breeze from Joffrey’s in The American Adventure Pavilion This drink costs $11.99 and it’s the perfect palette cleanser after a long day of eating! Its slushy consistency is made with lemon, coconut syrup, and pineapple rum! And while we enjoyed all of the seasonal beverages each of Epcot’s Joffrey’s locations was serving (none of them tasted very boozy!), this one was hands-down our favorite! It’s basically summertime in a cup! Tropical Breeze Check out the other Flower and Garden drinks Joffrey’s is stirring up all over Epcot HERE! Mini Funnel Cake at Funnel Cake Stand The Funnel Cake Stand in the American Adventure Pavilion knows how to crank out some tasty funnel action! This year, they’ve got a Mini Funnel Cake we’re truly nuts about! It’s topped with Lemon Cheesecake Ice Cream, Blueberries, and Powdered Sugar and costs only $7! The blueberry and lemon struck all the right chords with us while the ice cream is tart and rich. If you don’t dig lemon, don’t be scared away! Ours wasn’t overly lemony at all and didn’t make us pucker up, we swear! Mini Funnel Cake Check out our FULL REVIEW of the new Mini Funnel Cake HERE! Popsicle Trio at Refreshment Port We were absolutely gobsmacked with this next dessert — Refreshment Port’s Popsicle Trio! You get 3 (THREE!) mini popsicles for $5 including honeydew, raspberry-mint, and coconut lime! Aren’t they just the CUTEST? The only thing is, you don’t have much time to look at them before they start to melt, so you gotta hurry! This might be our favorite three-fer of all time! Don’t miss it! Popsicle Trio Fried Green Tomatoes at Refreshment Port Fried Green Tomatoes with blue crab-fennel salad, remoulade, and smoked paprika oil for $6.25 was also Best of the Fest material! Who knew the Refreshment Port was bringin’ their A-game this year? We didn’t get much of the paprika, but we found this to be a delicious, salty snack nonetheless! The crab itself is the perfect texture and was complimented nicely by the crunch of the tomatoes! Fried Green Tomatoes Read our review all Flower and Garden’s Refreshment Port menu HERE! BEST Booth of the FEST Hanami Our pick for BEST of the FEST booth is clear to us! If you only have time for to visit ONE Flower and Garden Festival food booth, stop by Hanami! 2020 Hanami Booth We ATE and LOVED EVERYTHING on Hanami’s NEW MENU! Read our FULL REVIEW HERE! Runners-Up for Best Booth of the Fest Jardin de Fiestas Mexico Pavilion’s Jardin de Fiesta was also a stand-out for us, so we gotta give them a shout out! Not only was their Choriqueso Torta a big home run, but also their Chilaquiles de Pollo, Quesadilla al Pastor, and Mango Mexican Lucky Margarita! Jardin de Fiestas Spread Check out everything we ATE at Jardin de Fiestas HERE! Fleur de Lys Just say oui to Fleur de Lys! Trust us — you’ll be glad you did! The French-inspired eats and cocktails are super delicious! In fact, we might be coming back for another Tarte aux Oignons et Chevre, Éclair Chocolat Framboise, and La Vie en Rose Frozen Slushy tomorrow — don’t judge us! Fleur de Lys Offerings Best of the Fest for Kids Flower and Garden Festival food booths aren’t just for adults! There are plenty of kiddo-friendly foods as well! Take, for example, the Frushi at Hanami! You get three pieces for $6 and it’s a great introduction to Japanese cuisine, minus the raw fish! Strawberry, Pineapple and Cantaloupe are wrapped in Sweet Rice and Pink Soy Wrap served with Whipped Cream, Drizzled Berry Sauce and Toasted Coconut! It’s as adorable to look at as it is tasty to EAT! Might have to get one for the adults, too! Frushi! Honorable Mention for Kids Cookie Butter Worms and Dirt at Flavor Full Kitchen We think Flavor Full Kitchen also has one of the best offerings your “little gardeners” will enjoy — the Cookie Butter Worms and Dirt for $4.50! Normally when you think of “worms” and “dirt” desserts, you think of a pudding you eat with a spoon, but this version is actually a drink! Have fun slurpin’ up that gummy worm that the shake comes topped with! Cookie Butter Worms and Dirt Instagram Winner Chinese Cotton Candy at Lotus House Is there anything more magical than a big fluffy cloud of cotton candy shaped like a flower, WE ASK YOU??? You’ll find these edible sugary creations have once again made their way back to the Lotus House! The 5-Layered Spring Fantasy for $16 is notably our favorite, but you can also get cotton candy fashioned into a heart, butterfly, star and other blossoms by the master of sugar artistry, Wenbo Zhang! He’s not always in, but when he is, watch out! Chinese Cotton Candy Click here to see PHOTOS of the FOOD at the 2020 Epcot Flower and Garden Festival! Impossible Farmhouse Meatball Take a look at everything at Trowel & Trellis on this year’s menu here! Looking for somethin’ a little sweet and a little spicy? Then the Pineapple Skewer with Tajin Seasoning is a GREAT pick at the Refreshment Outpost for $4.75! 15. The 2020 Epcot Flower and Garden Festival has arrived, just in time for us to snack and sip around the World Showcase! Flower and Garden Passport And, although there have been PLENTY of new things to nosh on, we’re taking you with us to check out a returning booth that we can’t get enough of! The Taste of Marrakesh is back to add some Mediterranean flavor to the 2020 Flower and Garden Festival. And, we’re so happy to see the booth bringing back the menu items from last year that we loved! 2020 Taste of Marrakesh Booth Food 2020 Taste of Marrakesh Menu While you stop by, you can try the Harissa Chicken Kebab with dried fruit couscous salad and cilantro oil for $8 (which is basically a staple of Mediterranean food)… Harissa Chicken Kebab with Dried Fruit Couscous Salad And their Fried Cauliflower with Capers, garlic parsley, and chili ranch sauce for $7 is also a dish we like to garden party with! You KNOW we’re all about that Chili Ranch Sauce!! ;D Fried Cauliflower with Capers, Garlic, Parsley, and Chili Ranch Sauce To wrap things up, the Walnut Honey Baklava is a flaky pastry packed with sweet flavors that melt in your mouth. For only $4.50, it’s also a pretty sweet deal! Walnut Honey Baklava Oh, and don’t forget to grab one of the drinks that the Taste of Marrakesh is offering this year! While you can have the Casa Beer for $4.50, White Sangria for $6, or Larroque Chardonnay, Meknes for $6… Larroque Chardonnay, Meknes …we recommend splurging on the Desert Rose for $9! It’s a sparkling wine topped with pomegranate liqueur — and while there’s a kick from the wine, the pomegranate adds a hint of tartness to the sweet drink (making it even better). Desert Rose Taste of Marrakesh’s menu of tasty foods and drinks sure hits the spot year after year — no wonder it’s managed to stay the same for 2020! If you like to get down at Epcot’s Flower and Garden Festival with LOTS of fresh flavors and SPICE, make sure you stop by this outdoor kitchen located in Morocco’s pavilion! Check out the rest of the returning AND new items at the Flower and Garden Festival food booths here! Have you tried some of the Mediterranean food at the Taste of Marrakesh? 16. The work has begun on the massive transformation coming to Cinderella Castle! ©Disney Artist Concept for New Cinderella Castle While we have started to notice the construction happening around the castle, we also saw some changes on Disney’s website to indicate an impact on the live stage show that happens in front of the castle! Beginning on March 9, 2020, the number of daily showtimes for Mickey’s Royal Friendship Faire will be reduced from five shows daily to three. Mickey’s Royal Friendship Faire On Disney’s website, the shows happening as of March 9 are in the evening: 5:15 PM, 6:30 PM, and 7:30 PM. So, adjust your schedules accordingly! It looks like, as of now, there will be no morning or early afternoon performances! © Disney Disney reports that the transformation on Cinderella Castle will be complete sometime this summer. 17. Back for its second year, we’re here to dig up some dirt on Trowel & Trellis, Epcot’s all plant-based 2020 Flower and Garden Festival food booth! Trowel & Trellis Booth So grab your tastebuds and best pair of galoshes while we head over to check out the menu! Food Trowel & Trellis is returning to the festival this year with pretty much the same menu, except for a few minor changes! Trowel & Trellis Booth We’re so glad to see one of our favorites again — the Grilled Street Corn on the Cob with Savory Garlic Spread for $5.75. It made our Best of the Fest list last year and it’s still a winner, baby! The cheesy, garlicy on-the-go treat is kinda like the vegetarian equivalent to walking around Disney World with a classic giant turkey leg! Grilled Street Corn Meanwhile, the Impossible Farmhouse Meatball with Lentil Bread, Spinach, Marinated Vegetables, and Creamy Herb Dressing for $5.75 is making us think meat? What meat? Who needs beef when you can get this much flavor from a delicious meatless bite? Don’t get us wrong, we’ll still be partaking in massive amounts of meaty festival treats, but for a vegetarian option, we think even meat-eaters might be surprised this one! Impossible Farmhouse Meatball The Chocolate Pudding Terrarium with Avocado Cream, Matcha Crumble, and Baby Herbs for $5.25 is also back from last year but no longer includes pomegranate seeds — which we’re happy about. Texturally, this dessert is much more enjoyable in 2020! Chocolate Pudding Terrarium Beverages The cold-pressed juices haven’t made their way back to the festival this year, but Trowel & Trellis’ other drink offerings have! The non-alcoholic Bloomin’ Blueberry Lemon and Ginger Tea featuring Twinings of London for $4.50 is still bubbling and brewing. By the way, it tastes as delicious as it did last year when it was a Best of the Fest hit with us! Bloomin’ Blueberry Lemon and Ginger Tea Bloomin’ Blueberry Lemon and Ginger Tea featuring Twinings of London® with Tito’s Handmade Vodka served in a Mason Jar. The booze and souvenir glass it comes in are worthy of the upgrade! This spiked version will set you back $15.50. Bloomin’ Blueberry Lemon and Ginger Tea with Tito’s Handmade Vodka The last beverage at Trowel & Trellis this year is Playalinda Brewing Company Tropical Wonderland Wheat Ale for $4.50 It’s brewed in Titusville, Florida and it’s got just a hint of an islandy taste which we really enjoyed! Playalinda Brewing Company Tropical Wonderland Ale If you liked Trowel & Trellis last year, there’s some good news — not much has changed! And if you haven’t dabbled in plant-based cuisine yet, NOW’S YOUR CHANCE! The portion sizes and prices are pretty non-committal, so what do you have to lose? Check it out and let us know what you thought of Trowel & Trellis’ meatless eats! Follow along with our LIVE coverage of Epcot’s 2020 Flower and Garden Festival HERE while we STUFF ourselves SILLY! 18. The highlight of our Spring is here… The 2020 Epcot International Flower and Garden Festival! Epcot Flower and Garden Festival From now through June 1st, attendees can stand in awe at the countless topiaries throughout the park, dance the night away at the Garden Rock Series, and our personal favorite, eat and drink from a large selection of limited-time offerings. In addition to the festival-exclusive Outdoor Marketplace Kitchens found throughout World Showcase, our favorite year-round spots will also be contributing to the action! And when we’re craving a good craft brew, Block and Hans in the American Pavilion is a sure bet, so we were excited to check out what special menu items were available. Block & Hans Craft Beer Let’s have a look at their offerings for this year’s festival! Block and Hans Festival Menu BEVERAGES This sparkling mead sounded delightful! The Redstone Meadery Black Raspberry Nectar is priced at $10.75, and is a rather small serving size, which is due to its higher alcohol by volume. Redstone Black Raspberry Nectar Mead If you’re a sweet drink lover, than you’ll enjoy this beverage quite a bit. We’re actually quite grateful this comes in a smaller size, because the sweetness would definitely be too much in a larger portion. Overall the drink doesn’t taste strong despite the high ABV, and tastes just like a sweet wine. Redstone Black Raspberry Nectar Mead Also listed as part of the festival was the always wonderful Arendelle Aqua Lemonade. While the bright blue drink disappeared very briefly from the menu prior to the Flower and Garden Festival, it’s officially back as an option! The frozen lemonade with Monin cotton candy is a non-alcoholic offering on the menu. Arendelle Aqua Lemonade However, you also have the option of adding in Ole Smoky Blackberry Moonshine if you need a little afternoon festival pick-me-up! Arendelle Aqua Lemonade With two refreshing special options on the menu, Block and Hans is definitely a nice pit stop to make on your journey to drink ’round the world during the Flower and Garden Festival! 19. Greetings from the Epcot International Flower and Garden Festival! While touring around the booths, we stopped by Refreshment Outpost to see what festival offerings we could try. Refreshment Outpost Booth We love seeing the Refreshment Outpost getting in on the Flower and Garden Festival action this year, and if you’re a cider fan, you’ll really appreciate what they have to offer! Refreshment Outpost continues to be a festival spot where you’ll find a plant-based food offering. We also noticed that they are offering an array of cider beverages! 2020 Menu If you’re looking for a healthy snack option, check out the Pineapple Skewer with Tajin Seasoning. 2020 Menu This spear is a pineapple lover’s dream, complimented by the salty, spicy sour Tajin. This reminds us of our old Tajin Dole Whip hack from Disneyland! Pineapple Spear The pineapple skewer costs $4.75. Pineapple Skewer with Tajin Seasoning As for beverages, it’s all things cider at the Refreshment Outpost! The ciders featured this year are the 3 Daughters Raspberry Lemonade Dry Hard Cider, Short’s Brewing Company Starcut Ciders Mosa Hard Cider, and Ciderboys Banana Bliss Hard Cider. Refreshment Outpost Spread If you’re a cider fan and you can’t decide which one to try, why not all three? You can sample your way around the Refreshment Outpost with a cider flight! Cider Flight We found the banana and lemonade flavors to be our favorites this season! If you’re a fan of cider, we think you will enjoy all three selections. The cider flight costs $9.50. 20. The 2020 Epcot International Flower and Garden is FINALLY upon us! And yes, we’re loving exploring all the gardens and eating our way through the Outdoor Kitchens — but we definitely need a little extra energy to see it all. Mickey and Friends Topiaries JOFFREY’S TO THE RESCUE. You guys know we love us some Joffrey’s Coffee & Tea Company, so you can imagine we were excited to try out the FOUR exclusive Flower and Garden offerings at the Epcot kiosks. Each kiosk has a different specialty on offer, so let’s get tasting! The four BRAND NEW offerings are located around Epcot, so you’ll have to do some walking if you want to try them all! Each drink is themed around a fresh ingredient, and all four of them are frozen alcoholic cocktails. No matter which one you’re snagging, it will cost yah $11.99. America Joffrey’s Booth First up, we’re stopping by the Future World East Joffrey’s. The Future World kiosk features the Spring Berry Bliss, made with frozen strawberry and coconut syrup, topped with raspberry vodka. Spring Berry Bliss Menu Of the four this was our least favorite, but it was still REALLY good. Hey, it’s a high bar! If you like berry flavors a lot, this could easily be a favorite for you! Spring Berry Bliss Our next stop was the Showcase Plaza Joffrey’s! This booth is offering the Passion Flower which, yes, is in fact as pretty as it sounds! This cocktail is made with frozen passion fruit and tea, infused with lemon vodka. Passion Flower Menu None of the four cocktails really tasted like alcohol (so these are great choices if you want an easy sippin’ drink!), but this one especially didn’t have any alcoholic taste! If you like sweet tea, then you’ll definitely want to snag this blend. Passion Flower Then it was on to the Joffrey’s in the Canada Pavilion. We were super pumped to try the Orange Splash here, since a mix of frozen lemon and orange vodka sounded absolutely delicious! Orange Splash Menu Well, guess what folks — the Orange Splash is exactly as delicious as it sounds! If you’re looking for something refreshing and tart, Canada should be your next stop! Orange Splash And the FINAL stop was the The American Adventure Joffrey’s, where they’re serving up the Tropical Breeze. This one has some serious piña colada vibes, made with a mix of frozen lemon, coconut syrup, and pineapple rum. Tropical Breeze sign This was HANDS DOWN our favorite of all of the Joffrey’s drinks! While they were all really good, this one tasted like summer in a cup. Totally delish! Tropical Breeze We definitely liked all four of these drinks, so get out there and drink your way around the Joffrey’s carts to check out these speciality flavors available during the Flower and Garden Festival in Epcot! Want to see ALL of the food pics from Flower and Garden? We’ve got you covered! Click here! Which of these frozen cocktails seems like the tastiest to you! Let us know in the comments! 21. The adorable li’l Orange Bird soared into our lives last year at The Citrus Blossom and we haven’t been able to forget about it since! The Orange Bird Sipper RETURNS to Disney World at this year’s Flower and Garden Festival in Epcot! Come along with as we find out whether the Orange Cream Shake is as good as last year’s slush! Food The Citrus Blossom is staying true to its roots and is serving up the same foods we saw last year (but we can’t complain!). 2020 Citrus Blossom Menu Lobster Tail with Meyer Lemon Emulsion and grilled lemon is a gluten-friendly option perfect for seafood lovers who need a protein boost to make it from booth to booth! The lemon works well with the lobster and it’s a pretty good serving size for $8.25. Lobster Tail with Meyer Lemon Emulsion You can also try the Tuna Tataki Bowl with spicy yuzu glaze, mango, avocado, and pappadam crisp. There’s a lot of different flavors working here, from the spiciness of the glaze to the fruitiness of the mango that makes an interesting combination for $6.25. Tuna Tataki The Crispy Citrus Chicken with orange aïoli and baby greens is a nice break from the seafood. We enjoyed the tang from the aïoli on the crispy outer shell of the chicken. This is also a great gluten-friendly choice for $5.75. Crispy Citrus Chicken We can’t forget about dessert and the Citrus Shortcake with orange chiffon cake, lemon curd, mandarins, whipped cream, and citrus crumble brings both the sweet and sour flavors to work in harmony. You can try it for yourself for $4.50. Citrus Shortcake Beverage Now on to the reason many of us are here: Orange Bird! This year, the “Orange Cream Slush” transformed into the non-alcoholic Orange Cream Shake and is served in the precious Orange Bird Sipper Cup. This hot commodity will run you $15.00. Orange Bird Sipper You can also pick up Islamorada Beer Company’s Coconut Key Lime Ale, First Magnitude Brewing’s Lemon Hefeweizen, or Heavy Seas Brewery’s TropiCannon Citrus IPA either separately for $4.50 each or sample the beer flight for $9.50. Beer Flight Also returning from last year is the Orange Sunshine Wine Slushy, but we’re so glad it did! This citrus-sweet beverage is very refreshing for $6.50. 22. It’s a great time to visit Walt Disney World! Spring is in the air and we’re celebrating with the return of the 2020 Epcot International Flower and Garden Festival. Remy Topiary Dance the night away at the Garden Rocks Concert Series, snap some cute pics with all of the topiaries, and of course, eat and drink to your til your hearts content with limited-time offerings. In addition to the outdoor kitchens exclusive for the event, a number of year-round spots get in on the action with their own offerings! 2020 Refreshment Port Menu The Refreshment Port is a popular World Showcase walk-up known for their delicious specialty poutines. For the festival, they will be serving three exclusive items. FOOD We were anxious to try the Fried Green Tomatoes with blue crab-fennel salad, remoulade, and smoked paprika oil. Fried Green Tomatoes This was SO. GOOD. While we didn’t pick up much of the paprika, we found this dish to be a delicious, salty snack. The crab itself is the perfect texture and was complimented nicely by the crunch of the tomatoes! They’re priced at $6.25. Fried Green Tomatoes Next up is the Popsicle Trio featuring Honeydew… Popsicle Trio — Honeydew Raspberry-Mint… Popsicle Trio — Raspberry Mint …and Coconut-Lime! Popsicle Trio — Coconut Lime Beautiful AND tasty, you have to be prepared to eat these little guys FAST because ours quickly started to melt! Popsicle Trio This is definitely a good snack option to split, otherwise, you’ll be racing against time if you eat these solo. These cute little guys are $5.00. Three popsicles for $5.00… YES PLEASE! BEVERAGES And now to sip on something refreshing! 2020 Refreshment Port Menu — Drinks We got our hands on Short’s Brewing Company Start Ciders Squishy Hard Cider. Priced at $11.25, we found this cider to be not as dry as the beers we tried over in Canada, and that the berry flavor was more pronounced than the fruit flavors over at Northern Bloom. 23. We’ve been having a ball chowing down on EVERY new snack at sip at Epcot’s 2020 Flower and Garden Festival! By now you’re probably wondering how we manage to stay so svelte! It’s all about HOOFING IT to all the food booths scattered throughout the World Showcase! Epcot Flower and Garden Festival Passport But in addition to the 16 Outdoor Kitchens, did you know a bunch of additional locations like to get in on the flowery food fun? That’s why we’re headed to the Funnel Cake stand in the American Adventure Pavilion next! Last year, this patriotic homage to fried doughy delights was serving up crisp batches of Key Lime Funnel Cake topped with Crumbled Graham Cracker and Whipped Cream! But in 2020, there’s a much different treat in store for those seeking funnel cake sanctity! Funnel Cake Stand Menu This year, the Funnel Cake stand is betting small with their new Mini Funnel Cake offering! Topped with Lemon Cheesecake Ice Cream, Blueberries, and Powdered Sugar for $7, this little guy is a GOTTA-HAVE. That’s right! We’re talkin’ best of the fest here ladies and gents! The mini funnels have been winners at the past several festivals and this one is another must get. Mini Funnel Cake The blueberry and lemon combo is perfect and it’s just the right amount of sweet. The ice cream brings a nice level of tartness and a good amount of creaminess. Plus, it’s got a lot of great lemon flavor without any of the pucker! We’d recommend this dessert for one hungry sweets-lover or to share if you’re trying a lot at the fest! Mini Funnel Cake Head on over to the Funnel Cake stand in the American Adventure Pavilion to get your sweets fix in the most fruity and delicious way possible! 24. We’re eating and drinking our way around the 2020 Epcot International Flower and Garden Festival! Epcot Flower and Garden Festival Now through June 1, dine around World Showcase from an impressive variety of Outdoor Kitchens, feast your eyes on the gorgeous topiaries throughout the park, and get your groove on at the Garden Rocks Concert Series. Our favorite part is (you guessed it) ALL THE FOOD! We’re so happy to welcome back one of our favorite booths, Bauernmarkt: Farmer’s Market! Bauernmarkt Outdoor Kitchen FOOD We’re SO relieved because they kept ALL of our favorite food items this year! Bauernmarkt Menu For a quintessential German snack, the Potato Pancakes with house-made apple sauce is a delicious option that also happens to be plant-based! The potato pancake was SUPER creamy despite not having butter in it! If you’re a fan of applesauce, you may not be weirded out by the consistency. If applesauce isn’t your thing, this probably isn’t the eat for ya. There was a nice sweet and salty combo thanks to the applesauce, though. And overall we really enjoyed these little potato pancakes. You can try it for yourself for $4.50. Potato Pancake with Applesauce If you prefer something a little meatier, there’s also the Potato Pancakes with caramelized ham, onions, and herb sour cream for $4.75. This is also better texture-wise. The potato pancakes don’t get all soggy since there isn’t apple sauce on top. Potato Pancake with Caramelized Ham, Onions, and Herb Sour Cream The holy grail of cheesy goodness is back! The toasted pretzel bread with blacked forest ham and melted gruyere cheese is here to make all your carby dreams come true. We’re ready to dive into this cheesy goodness again for $5.50. Toasted Pretzel Bread with Black Forest Ham and Gruyere For a sweet treat, the Warm Cheese Strudel with mixed berries is available once again for $4.50. We won’t say no to more cheese! Warm Cheese Strudel with Mixed Berries BEVERAGES This year we have the Apfelschaumwein, a sparkling wine with apple liqueur. You need to really like apples for this one, so it’s not for everybody. It tasted like boozy apple juice to us. You can see what you think of it for $10.00. Apfelschaumwein on the right A booth favorite, the Stiegl Brewery Radler Zitrone returns along with two new options, M.I.A. Brewing Hugo and Bitburger Premium Pils. They are available individually or as part of a beer flight. Stiegl Brewery Radler Zitrone Doing the flight is a good way to sample all the different beers, but it’s not mind-blowing. German beer is consistently good for us! M.I.A. Brewing Hugo Each beer is $4.50 separately or you can tackle the flight for $9.50. Bitburger Premium Pils This outdoor kitchen continues to be a highlight of the festival! Prost, my friends! Check Out ALL the 2020 Flower and Garden Festival Menus HERE! 25. When we cloud our minds at work with thoughts of delicious and beautiful festival foods, one treat readily pops into our heads… 2020 Hanami Booth FRUSHI!!! It just wouldn’t be an Epcot International Flower and Garden Festival without our fruity sushi fix! And if you know what WE know, Hanami located in Japan’s pavilion is THE PLACE to get your Frushi on! But while Frushi has managed to return for another year (we don’t think we can bear ever seeing it go!) the Chilled Soba Noodle Salad and Japanese-style Fried Chicken Karaage with Nanban Sauce we enjoyed in 2019 haven’t made it back on the menu this year! 2020 Hanami Menu Time to see what’s taken their place! Food First, let’s look at what’s returning! The DFB dictionary defines “Frushi” as the perfect bite-size portions of Strawberry, Pineapple and Cantaloupe wrapped in Sweet Rice and Pink Soy Wrap served with Whipped Cream, Drizzled Berry Sauce and Toasted Coconut! For $6.00, you get three pieces Frushi awesomeness! Frushi! NEW this year, Hanami is serving a Menchi Katsu Slider! Menchi Katsu Slider For $6.00, this snack features a Japanese-style Panko-breaded Beef Patty topped with Tonkatsu Sauce, Mayonnaise, Cucumber, and Pickled Lotus Root! Menchi Katsu Slider This slider was super yummy and filling! It tastes like a crispy deep-fried hamburger! The Tonkatsu sauce and mayo added a lot of flavor and we would have liked to see even more sauce on ours. The lotus and cucumber gave the burger a bit of freshness. We suggest slipping the pickled lotus inside the slider to make it easier to eat! Also, NEW in 2020 is the stunning Salmon Flower Ikura: Fresh-cut Salmon, Salmon Roe, Spinach and Watermelon Radish, and Chilled Ramen tossed with Poke Sauce for $8.25. Salmon Flower Ikura This dish is AB-SO-LUTE-LY gorgeous! We love how it looks just like a potted plant — so does it taste as GOOD as it LOOKS?! Salmon Flower Ikura Heads up, this is for the fish fans! If you’re not that wild about raw salmon, you likely won’t enjoy much of what this has to offer. Even though it’s so pretty, we think you’ll want to eat this rather quickly. It seems best consumed cold – which can be tricky if you’re enjoying this pretty little flower pot on a hot Florida afternoon (so…most afternoons!). We also found this to be a little on the oily side, but overall, it was really refreshing and flavorful. Another yummy dish for Hanami! Beverages Hanami’s drinks include imported Kirin Draft Beer for $4.50 which was also available last year (or year-round in the Japan Pavilion!). There’s also a new Strawberry Nigori Sake for $7.50! Strawberry Nigori Sake If you’ve ever been averse to trying sake, this may be a good drink to first try it out! Heavy on the strawberry flavor, we found this sake to taste almost creamy due to the unfiltered cloudiness. Kind of like a boozy strawberry milkshake sip! Strawberry Nigori Sake Lastly, the Ichigo Sun cocktail has been replaced with the Furano Martini for $7.50! Furano Martini Made with Vodka, Lavender Syrup, and Yuzu Juice, this mixed drink tastes like a LEGIT cocktail. And for $7.50, we have no complaints (We did have to pluck the lavender sprig out of ours. We weren’t fans of fuzzy plants in our drink!). With a simple ingredient list, we were wowed by how complex this drink tasted. We really enjoyed this drink. Furano Martini If you’re swinging by Hanami to pick up your must-get Flower and Garden Frushi, you’re not alone! But why not try one of Hanami’s new menu offerings while you’re at it, and see whatcha think! This booth was a slam dunk this year!
