If you’re a Disney Adult who’s always had a soft spot for the classics, we’ve got some serious news for your wallet. We love Loungeflys! Three retro-inspired Loungefly mini backpacks are making the rounds right now, and they’re giving major vintage Disney energy. We’re talking about films from the golden era of Disney animation, and honestly, they’re hitting differently. Let’s get into it. DISCLOSURE: This post may contain affiliate links, meaning when you click the links and make a purchase, we receive a commission. Grab This Jungle Book Bare Necessities Mini Backpack ©Amazon The Loungefly Disney Jungle Book Bare Necessities Mini Backpack is basically a wearable screenshot from the most chill scene in the movie. The front features Baloo floating along the river with Mowgli in that carefree, zero-responsibilities kind of way we all aspire to on vacation. The jungle artwork is bright and lush, with pops of greenery and warm sunshine tones that instantly scream classic animation. Flip it around, and there’s an adorable detail of Mowgli climbing onto Baloo for a hug. It feels like the kind of bag that makes strangers in line say, “Wait, is that from The Jungle Book?” Yes. Yes, it is. If you’re a fan of that old-school, hand-drawn Disney vibe, this one delivers in a big way. It’s playful without being over the top, and it pairs surprisingly well with neutral park outfits. View Price on Amazon Shop This 101 Dalmatians Spots and Pups Mini Backpack ©Amazon Dog lovers, this one’s for you. The Loungefly Disney 101 Dalmatians Spots and Pups Lucky Penny Patch Allover Print Mini Backpack is giving major vintage animation energy. The black and white spotted pattern is covered in fan favorite pups like Lucky, Penny, and Patch, and there are subtle red accents that make everything pop. It’s very Cruella-coded without actually being villain-themed, which we kind of love. The hardware has that slightly antique look, and the interior lining keeps the puppy theme going. It’s the kind of detail Disney Adults appreciate because we will absolutely open our bag to show someone the inside print. This one feels extra ‘60s in the best way. Clean lines. Classic characters. Instantly recognizable. If your Disney heart belongs to the era of hand-inked animation cels, this backpack is basically your personality in accessory form. View Price on Amazon Check Out This Sword in the Stone Stained Glass Mini Backpack ©BoxLunch Now let’s talk about the deep cut. The Loungefly Disney The Sword in the Stone Stained Glass Portrait Mini Backpack is a BoxLunch exclusive, and it’s definitely the “you have great taste” option. Inspired by the stained glass look from the film, this bag features portrait-style character details with textured and embossed elements that make it feel a little more elevated. It’s still fun, but it leans slightly more artistic than cartoonish. If you grew up watching The Sword in the Stone on repeat and low-key feel like it never gets enough love in the parks, this is your moment. The stained glass design makes it stand out from the typical all over print styles, and it gives that subtle vintage vibe without shouting it. If you’re like us, you likely remember the golden days of Pixar. Whether you got to head to the theater to see hits like Toy Story, Monsters, Inc., or WALL-E in person, or you watched them on DVD at home (or love to watch them on streaming now), these stories are a large part of many of our childhoods. @Pixar While Pixar has continued to make some great films, they’ve had some ups and downs over the past few years. Now, we have a bit more insight as to why that may be. We also got confirmation that there are LOTS of new Pixar films in the works, including a third installment in the Monsters, Inc. franchise! According to The Wall Street Journal, Pixar Chief Creative Officer Pete Docter admitted that the reason the company is struggling to find its next highly profitable franchise, similar to Toy Story, may be largely due to him and his instruction. He admitted that in his early years of managing Pixar’s group of ambitious creators, he “probably overindexed on, ‘Do whatever you want.’” Pete Docter Three of Docter’s first projects with Pixar were massive hits, and continue to be to this day — Cars, Ratatouille, and Toy Story. Current and former employees at Pixar stated that a large reason for the lack of a hit recently is that “the conflict-averse Docter encouraged new directors to make autobiographical movies that too many audience members struggled to connect with.” Following a few films that didn’t perform well in the box office, such as Elio, now Docter is changing his strategy. Now, he’s encouraging creators to go back to universally relatable concepts, like monsters in closets (Monsters, Inc.) and talking toys (Toy Story). ©Pixar We know Toy Story 5 is on its way, coming to theaters on June 19th, and the article mentions the third Incredibles film we know is coming in 2028, as well as the second Coco film coming in 2029, but then there was a NEW piece of information that stood out to us. People familiar with the matter are reporting that a third Monsters, Inc. installment is on its way! We have no idea when this is planned for, but the idea is exciting nonetheless. If it’s true, it also makes even more sense why the Monsters, Inc. land is currently being built in Disney’s Hollywood Studios. ©Disney Pixar’s first-ever musical is also in the works and is to be directed by Domee Shi, who directed Turning Red. When asked about the film, Lindsey Collins, Pixar’s senior vice president of development, said, “One of the things that brought the initial group together here was a desire to rebel against the traditional Disney musical. This next generation grew up on Pixar, and they’re figuring out their version of rebellion.” Additionally, another film called Ono Ghost Market is in the works as well, though it hasn’t been publicly unveiled by the company yet. It was originally going to be a series, but will now be a movie “inspired by Asian myths about supernatural bazaars where the living and dead interact.” ©Disney Pixar’s newest release, Hoppers, appears to be doing well in theaters so far. Docter commented that, despite mounting financial pressures, he feels Pixar will remain useful to Disney and the world if they just go on making great movies, going on to say, “If we’re going to just crank crap out, let’s shut the doors. I’d rather die trying to make something that we genuinely believe in.” Looking for More Pixar News? Check Out These Posts! There are several reasons to book a Disney World hotel, but there’s one you might want to avoid this year. Disney’s Animal Kingdom Lodge From larger-than-life theming to next-level dining and exclusive perks like Early Theme Park Entry, Disney’s resort hotels are often just as magical as the parks themselves. But here’s the thing, even Disney hotels aren’t immune to refurbishments, and if you’re planning a trip soon, there’s one popular resort you may want to think twice about booking. We’re talking about Disney’s Animal Kingdom Lodge. Yes, we know that the savanna views are incredible, the dining options are some of the best on property, and the theming is so unique, but there’s one thing that’s holding us back from booking a stay here — construction. Animal Kingdom Lodge Refurbishment work began at Animal Kingdom Lodge in October 2025, and it’s going to last a while. From October 2025 through May 2026, guest rooms at Kidani Village will undergo refurbishment. Then, from May 2026 through January 2027, construction will shift to Jambo House. During these timeframes, Disney has indicated that guests may see or hear construction work in the area. While most amenities are expected to remain available throughout the refurbishment, that doesn’t necessarily mean your stay will be free of disruptions. Construction at a resort hotel can mean daytime noise, construction walls in hallways or common areas, and more. This resort is stunning Animal Kingdom Lodge isn’t just any Disney hotel. It’s one of the most immersive stays on property, complete with savannas filled with giraffes, zebras, and other wildlife roaming just outside your balcony. Many guests book specifically for that serene, “escape-from-the-parks” feeling, and construction can take away from that feeling. The Savanna at Animal Kingdom Lodge Animal Kingdom Lodge isn’t alone. Several other Disney World hotels are also seeing refurbishments and updates this year. Disney regularly rotates room renovations across resorts to keep them fresh, which is great long-term, but it does mean that 2026 is shaping up to be a big construction year at Disney World. If avoiding construction is high on your priority list, it’s worth double-checking your resort choice before booking. Disney Is Making 14 Major Changes to Its Hotels. Here’s the Full List. Animal Kingdom Lodge doors Now, let’s be clear. This doesn’t mean no one should stay there during this year. Animal Kingdom Lodge could still be a fantastic choice if: You’re booking a Savanna View room and are willing to request a location away from active construction. You plan to spend a lot of time at Disney’s Animal Kingdom and want to be as close as possible. You’re going for the dining. Because honestly? The restaurants here are incredible. Between signature dining and some of the most unique flavors at Disney World, many guests book this resort just for the food scene alone. If your focus is on the animals, the restaurants, and the overall ambiance, and you’re okay with potential daytime construction noise, you may still have an amazing stay. Breakfast at Boma Animal Kingdom Lodge is still a stunning resort, just maybe not the peaceful escape it’s known for right now. As always, we’ll keep you updated on all the latest Disney hotel construction news, so stay tuned to DisneyFoodBlog for everything you need to know before you book your vacation. 4 Unspoken Rules to Follow in the Saddest Disney World Theme Park Right Now DON'T DO IT ALONE! We’ve got some pretty big news out of Magic Kingdom, where construction is practically everywhere as the park prepares to welcome two new lands. Westward Ho One of those lands is Piston Peak, which is taking the place of where Tom Sawyer Island and the Liberty Square Riverboat used to be, but it’s looking more and more like other areas of Frontierland will be extinct along with the change. We recently checked the My Disney Experience App and noticed that while two Frontierland spots are still showing hours, their physical buildings on the map are GONE! Both Westward Ho, a dining location in Frontierland, and Big Al’s, the outdoor merchandise spot that often sells raccoon hats, bubble wands, and more, no longer have physical buildings represented on the My Disney Experience App. When we asked a Big Al’s Cast Member about this change, we were told that there’s no closing date set, but they do know it is happening, as they’ve started moving merchandise out of the spot and into Frontier Trading Co. This Cast Member in particular told us that he’s pretty sad, as even though he’s outside without air conditioning, he really loves getting to work in an outdoor merchandise location. ©My Disney Experience App Then, we headed over to Westward Ho, and that Cast Member said something similar — while there’s no date set officially, they can feel that the countdown has begun. Recently, they heard that the list of locations for trainers was updated, and Westward Ho was no longer on the list. The Cast Member we spoke to did tell us that she heard a rumor they could be moved to Liberty Square, but there’s no confirmation of that at this time. ©My Disney Experience App We’ll be sad to see these spots go, that’s for sure, but we hope similar Piston Peak-themed spots will take their place when the land opens. We’d hate to be down a merchandise location AND a dining spot for good. It also has us a little concerned about other spots in the land — we hope they won’t close for good, but it’s possible they may need to close periodically to be rethemed to Piston Peak, or just repainted to fit in more with the new land. However, it’s important to remember that while Piston Peak is being added, it hasn’t been announced that Frontierland is not going away or being replaced, but it will be MUCH smaller than before (and in a bit of a weird shape). Piston Peak display in Walt Disney Presents Piston Peak is a new Cars-themed land coming to Magic Kingdom that will include two new attractions — a rally race-themed ride, as well as a family-friendly ride for smaller racers. The area is themed around National Parks, which will hopefully help it blend in with the nearby Big Thunder Mountain Railroad (also under a lengthy refurbishment) and Tiana’s Bayou Adventure. Community and creativity often come together to produce something truly magical. Combine those with a little New Orleans rhythm and a sprinkle of Disney spirit, and you’ll likely have a celebration of togetherness that beautifully showcases the vibrant heart and soul of the Big Easy. Now, that same spirit of joy and unity is coming to life for families across the country, as Tiana’s Joyful Celebration traveling exhibition officially opens its doors at The Children’s Museum of Indianapolis. A brand-new immersive experience produced by the shared vision of Walt Disney Imagineering and The Children’s Museum of Indianapolis, families are invited to not only observe the ongoing Mardi Gras celebration, but to help build the fun with Princess Tiana and friends. Read on to learn more about what’s inside this special exhibit. What is Tiana’s Joyful Celebration? At the very first museum exhibition dedicated to Princess Tiana, expect to see vibrant colors, irresistible rhythms, and the rich cultural traditions from New Orleans that you know and love, some that you may already be familiar with from visiting the Tiana’s Bayou Adventure attraction. Inside the exhibit, Tiana welcomes you into her world with a small request: to bring your very own special spice (and yes, we all know a great Mardi Gras season “parade” needs a little bit of creativity, imagination, and community spirit). Set in 1928 New Orleans, the experience kicks off inside Tiana’s Co-Op, where Tiana and her friends are finalizing preparations for a Mardi Gras season parade in her childhood neighborhood. Yet before the party kicks off, there’s one hiccup: the parade begins an hour earlier than they planned, and Princess Tiana and her friends need the entire community and some critter friends to help put the finishing touches on the floats to make it in time. What Can I Do Inside Tiana’s Joyful Celebration? Once inside, decorate one of many Mardi Gras season parade floats with dazzling colors, lights, and handmade touches, or experiment with classic New Orleans rhythm and sound as you join the Bayou Community Band alongside Prince Naveen. Or, visit Eudora’s dress shop to design masks and parade costumes inspired by the art and artistry of The Big Easy and create light-up sno-ball flavors alongside Mama Odie. No exhibit like this would be complete without some cooking and dancing – be sure to check off a bucket list item in pretend play by preparing Tiana’s father’s legendary gumbo recipe or learn a second-line dance by following step-by-step tutorials from a New Orleans native dancer at the finale float. From food to music, and from dance to design, the exhibition encourages families to learn through doing while also enjoying the spirit of New Orleans alongside Tiana and her pals. When Does This Exhibit Take Place? Now that Tiana’s Joyful Celebration has officially opened its doors to all guests, the party continues through January 3, 2027, at The Children’s Museum of Indianapolis. This officially kicks off a five-year nationwide tour, traveling to at least 12 additional cities across the country (including stops in California, Florida, Michigan, Ohio, and beyond!). What Inspired Imagineers to Work on This Exhibit? Following the opening of Tiana’s Bayou Adventure at Disneyland Resort and Walt Disney World Resort, our Imagineering team recognized that there was still more of Princess Tiana’s story to share. Filled with inspiration, heart, and opportunities for meaningful connection, our team drew from Princess Tiana’s dedication to community, motivating us to share her story in ways that resonate both within the parks and out in the world. Princess Tiana represents the idea that every dream is built with teamwork and heart, guided by sheer determination and ongoing creativity. By bringing her story to museums across the country, families can experience these themes (featuring bilingual signage in English and Spanish and accessible elements in ASL and Braille), welcoming every guest who wishes to be a part of her celebration. This Looks Amazing! How Do I Get Tickets? This festive, new exhibit is included with admission to The Children’s Museum of Indianapolis, and is recommended for children ages 6-10, their families, and their friends. And you’re almost there! To purchase museum tickets and start planning your next visit, click here and get ready to bring your own special spice to this unforgettable celebration of community. Anything Else to Know About The Children’s Museum of Indianapolis? A national leader in educational and hands-on experiences, The Children’s Museum of Indianapolis worked with our teams across Disney Experiences to bring a new chapter in Tiana’s story to life through a completely new lens. The result is a deeply immersive, multisensory exhibition that blends narrative, music, history, and imagination with the interactive freedom that kids and families love inside the museum, a longtime, local favorite and the world’s largest children’s museum with 485,000 square feet of public space. Home to 14 permanent exhibits, USA Today named The Children’s Museum of Indianapolis the best children’s museum in the country for three years in a row, and the museum recently celebrated its 100th birthday in 2025. Whether you’re a promising artist, a curious cook, or an enthusiastic Disney fan excited to experience all that NOLA has to offer, there’s a place for you inside this imaginative setting. Be sure to follow @waltdisneyimagineering and @childrensmuseum on social media to stay up to date on events, tour stops, and more fun coming to Tiana’s Joyful Celebration following the grand opening in Indy. Where does the time go? These first months of the year have been so extraordinarily busy that my writing hasn’t been able to keep up with all I’ve been doing. So here’s a look at multiple special events during the past weeks that I was lucky enough to attend — I hope you were able to enjoy many of these experiences, too. Festival of the Arts Walt Disney World’s Festival of the Arts at Epcot upped the game at its concert series this year. The musical arrangements seemed more dynamic, even though the use of recorded background vocals cheapens the Broadway feel. But the lineup couldn’t be beat: New performers this year included James Monroe Iglehart, who won a Tony Award for his exuberant turn as Genie in “Aladdin,” and not one but two original Broadway princesses: Sierra Boggess, the original Ariel in “The Little Mermaid,” and Susan Egan, the first Belle in the long-running “Beauty and the Beast.” They joined returning favorites such as Josh Strickland, the premier title character in “Tarzan,” Ashley Brown, who debuted the title character in “Mary Poppins,” and Central Floridians Kissy Simmons and Michael James Scott. Speaking of “B&B,” Disney did a special concert devoted entirely to that title — a marketing move, no doubt, as a new national tour of the show is underway (it will arrive in Orlando next spring). Still, it was enchanting to be surprised with a special appearance by Kyra Belle Johnson, who will be starring in that tour. Bravo, Disney, bravo. Central Floridian Jasmine Forsberg, who now has multiple Broadway shows under her belt, performs in Winter Park's Central Park on Feb. 6. (Courtesy City of Winter Park) Winter Park Arts Weekend In another concert, Central Floridian turned Broadway star Jasmine Forsberg headlined the Winter Park Arts Weekend in February. Ooh, it was a chilly night — but Forsberg got a deservedly warm reception. Central Florida Vocal Arts staged the concert, which featured a snappy combo fronted by piano man Julian Bond, dancers from Emotions Dance and singer AJ Morales, who joined Forsberg onstage. “This place is where my love of performing began,” Forsberg told the crowd, pointing out she celebrated her high-school graduation just down Park Avenue at Bosphorous Turkish Cuisine restaurant. Forsberg performed showtune standards (“On My Own” from “Les Misérables” and, appropriately, “Home” from “The Wiz”), a Disney medley and a delightfully country-tinged song she wrote, titled “Go Down This Road.” She learned, as many a performer in Central Park has, that the nearby Amtrak train is going to blast its horn at the worst possible time — in this case, during “Heart of Stone,” her signature song from Broadway’s “Six.” Speaking of that hit show, you can catch Forsberg in the cast of “Six” on Broadway. Pianist Yuja Wang performs Feb. 17 in Steinmetz Hall at the Dr. Phillips Center for the Performing Arts with the Orlando Philharmonic as part of the orchestra's annual Rhapsody gala. (Courtesy Orlando Philharmonic Orchestra) Rhapsody In a concert of a different sort, acclaimed pianist Yuja Wang headlined the Orlando Philharmonic Orchestra’s annual Rhapsody gala. Wang, known for her theatrical style, technical prowess and signature sparkly dresses, returned to Orlando, where she first memorably performed outdoors in frigid temperatures on the Exploria Stadium field during the COVID-19 pandemic. The Philharmonic, conducted by music director Eric Jacobsen, handled some beloved tunes on its own: Brahms’ whirling Hungarian Dance No. 5; Barber’s “Adagio for Strings,” which even in its loudest moments remained pleasingly tender; Barber’s cinematic overture to “The School for Scandal” and Copland’s bold and brassy “Fanfare for the Common Man.” Wang starred in Barber’s Concerto for Piano and Orchestra, creating a feeling of surprise with her interludes in the first movement and then projecting a haunted air over the more sedate second movement. The third movement crackled with energy, but perhaps Wang and Jacobsen weren’t completely satisfied? Among the five — yes, five — encores, Wang and the orchestra repeated the concerto’s entire third movement, to the delight of the crowd. By the way, congratulations to the Philharmonic for raising $650,000 at the event. Julia Mary Kaufman (from left), Tabitha Matthews and Conner Chaumley perform in the Bridge Theatre's "Anne & Emmett." (Courtesy Diana Kelly) ‘Anne & Emmett’ Turning to theater, I was able to take in a special performance of the Bridge Theater’s “Anne & Emmett” for students from local high schools. It was thrilling to see how engaged the young theatergoers were; you could have heard a pin drop at times. And they asked insightful questions at a post-show talkback led by director Karen J. Rugerio. Written by Janet Langhart Cohen, “Anne & Emmett” imagines a meeting of Anne Frank and Emmett Till in the afterlife. The two learn they have much in common: Both were murdered as youths, both the victims of senseless bigotry and hate. It’s a powerful play, and here’s some good news: The Bridge Theater, which was established in 2024 to instill empathy and mutual respect among young people, is reviving the production. With Wayne Brady as executive producer, “Anne & Emmett” will feature an additional student performance, as well as a public show, at East Ridge High, 13322 Excalibur Road in Clermont. Showtime for the general public is at 7 p.m. April 16. Get more information at thebridgetheatre.org. Members of the Pargh family cut the ribbon to officially open the Pargh Event Center at the Rosen Jewish Community Center in southwest Orlando on Feb. 12. (Matthew J. Palm/Orlando Sentinel) Pargh Event Center I saw “Anne & Emmett” at the new Pargh Event Center at the Rosen Jewish Community Center in southwest Orlando. That is the home of the new Arts at the J program, and the spiffy space was formally dedicated Feb. 12 with a ribbon-cutting and the unveiling of new signage across its facade. Rosen JCC executive director Ofira Bondorowsky called the opening of the center, named after a $1 million donation from Andy Pargh in honor of his parents, “an incredible milestone.” The Arts at the J program, which hosted a Central Florida Community Arts jazz concert last week, will continue this spring with the “Comedy for Peace” tour on April 23. Go to rosenjcc.org/arts-at-the-j for more information. “This is a remarkable new chapter for southwest Orlando and Central Florida as a whole,” said Frank Santos, CEO of Rosen Hotels & Resorts, at the official opening. He pledged the center would be a place where “the arts are given room to breathe, grow and inspire.” Pargh, who cut the ribbon with members of his family, said he learned about philanthropy from his parents — and he gave the idea of “giving until it hurts” a fresh twist. “Give till it feels good,” he said. “And tonight it feels really good.” Follow me at facebook.com/matthew.j.palm or email me at mpalm@orlandosentinel.com. We’re not going to lie…we are SO ready for springtime treats in Disney World. We’re ready to eat everything shaped like bunny butts (no, really, it’s such a THING), eggs, popular rabbit characters, and more. New popcorn mix alert! Now, we’ve already tried some spring-worthy snacks at the EPCOT Flower & Garden Festival, but Magic Kingdom isn’t sleeping on the springtime snacks either. If you head on over to Main Street Confectionery, you might just find one of your new FAVORITE springtime treats. Main Street Confectionery has something called the Kernel Kitchen, where you can get popcorn. Now, this isn’t regular old popcorn, though. This is popcorn with just about any kind of mix-in you can imagine. Well, the Spring Popcorn Mix just returned, and we’re not going to lie…you’re going to want to try it. For $17.99, you can get caramel popcorn with M&M’s milk chocolate candies, mini marshmallows, gold sprinkles, and a white chocolate drizzle. OH, YEAH. It’s lighter than you would think Now you might think this would be a heavy treat, but it’s actually very spring-like, light, and airy. It’s got Rice Krispies vibes with the marshmallow flavors, but you also get that chocolate and crunch from the M&M’s. It’s sweet, but it’s not overbearing. All the flavors complement each other beautifully. This is one of those snacks that both adults and kids will love. So good So, yeah, get on over to Main Street Confectionery while this popcorn mix is still available. It’s only going to be around for a limited time. After all, spring can’t last forever. Let’s talk about a very real Disney World problem: it’s 10:45PM, you just got back to your hotel after a full park day, your feet are screaming… and your tummy is rumbling. New food at Contempo Cafe The catch? Many Disney World quick-service restaurants close around 10 or 11 PM. If you didn’t grab something before heading out of the parks, late-night dining options at your resort can feel seriously limited, especially if you’re a night owl or traveling with hungry kids. And that’s exactly why this app hack feels life-changing. Room Service Is (Mostly) Gone You might be thinking, if you’re coming back to your Disney resort late, there must be options, but it might be more complicated than you think! If you’ve stayed at Disney World for years, you might remember when in-room dining (aka room service) was widely available. That service hasn’t returned to most hotels since 2020, and currently, the only Disney World hotel offering traditional room service is Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort & Spa. That’s it. So if you’re staying at a Value, Moderate, or even another Deluxe property, you’re likely out of luck when it comes to Mickey waffles delivered to your door. But there’s a hack. In-Room Dining at the Grand Floridian The DoorDash Trick Yes, even inside the Disney “bubble,” you can order delivery from DoorDash straight to your resort, and honestly, it’s a game-changer. Instead of being limited to whatever’s open at your resort, you suddenly have access to late-night fast food, local restaurants, grocery deliveries, and coffee. It completely opens up your options, especially after park closing. When you go to place your order, be sure to give them the correct physical address of your resort. You can find this in your MyDisney Experience app under Hotel Reservations. ©Doordash Sometimes, you will be asked to meet your delivery driver outside the entrance, in the lobby, or at Bell Services. The best practice might change throughout the day, so it is always a good idea to check before placing your order. For privacy purposes, we would recommend meeting your driver in a common area rather than at your room. It should also be noted that a lot of times, there are inflated prices and fees for using this service, but when you’re hungry, you do what you gotta do! Bell Services Another Smart Move If you’d rather stick with Disney food, there’s another trick that can save you from late-night hunger. Before leaving the park, open the My Disney Experience app and place a Mobile Order for snacks to bring back to your room. Some especially great options are Main Street Confectionery for packaged sweets, candy apples, and treats you can snack on later, or Karamell-Küche in EPCOT for caramel popcorn, cookies, and caramel-covered everything. Grabbing something on your way out means you won’t be stuck staring at a closed quick service location later. Pro tip: Order before fireworks end so you can skip the long lines on your way out. Karamell-Kuche Why This Hack Works After walking 20,000+ steps, waiting in lines, and staying up past your normal bedtime, the last thing you want is to feel stuck without food options. While we’d love to see room service return across Disney World resorts, this app workaround gives you flexibility, and honestly, more variety than traditional room service ever did. Whether you’re craving burgers at midnight, need breakfast delivered before hitting the parks, or just forgot to grab snacks, this is one Disney World trick that can seriously upgrade your stay. Mobile Order window As always, we’ll keep you updated on any changes to in-room dining at Disney World. Until then? Keep this hack in your back pocket, and your future hungry self will thank you. I go to Disney World for my job as a theme park reporter, and in the past few years of doing that, I’ve packed a park bag over 250 times. Let’s pack a park bag together! Yep, that’s right, I did the math, and we’re well into the triple digits here. At home, I have a designated box of theme park supplies and an array of bags to choose from, some specific to the season, park, weather, or itinerary. So today, I’m here to share my expertise with you. Let’s get packing! DISCLOSURE: This post may contain affiliate links, meaning when you click the links and make a purchase, we receive a commission. It All Starts With the Bag Where to start? With your park bag itself. You’ll first want to identify your personal needs for a park day. If it’s a long day or you’re a heavy packer, you should probably choose a larger, more utilitarian backpack. They may not be cute, but you could dress one up with patches or bag charms to make it more Disney-themed. A larger backpack If you don’t pack quite as heavy and you have a look or an outfit you’re going for, a Disney Loungefly is a great option! I have a few of these at home, and I can get all my usual park essentials to fit in them (you just have to be careful about your water bottle size). If you’re looking for one to try out, this Fantasia Loungefly is simply stunning. Fantasia Loungefly It converts between a backpack and a crossbody bag, so it’s very useful in the parks. VIEW ON AMAZON But for the light packers or the winter visits (I find that I need fewer items on my person when the weather’s not as hot and sticky), you can go with a fanny pack. There are some Disney-themed ones out there, or you can go for a basic design and add bag charms and keychains — that’s really popular right now. We’ve used the ODODOS Unisex Mini Belt Bag. ©Amazon This one has an adjustable strap and zipper storage for your smaller items. It also comes in more than two dozen different colors on Amazon. VIEW ON AMAZON My Seven Must-Have Items You may not pack exactly the way that I do, but there are a few items I keep in my bag almost always — I consider them the must-haves for a successful theme park day. First up is a water bottle! My personal favorite is the Owala FreeSip. There are water bottle refill stations throughout the parks, and staying hydrated is an absolute MUST. It’s important to stay hydrated! I simply cannot express to you how thirsty you’ll get on a hot summer day in Disney World, or even on a mild winter day. With all those steps, standing in the sun, and going from park open to park close, you need water to make sure you don’t get ill. VIEW ON AMAZON Next on my list is my tried-and-true Jisulife Handheld Fan. You don’t have to get this same one, but I’m a huge FAN of it (sorry for the pun, I just couldn’t resist ). It has battery life that lasts me DAYS on end, and with three wind speeds, it keeps me cool on even the hottest, most challenging park visits. Mini Fan! It’s rechargeable, and it even has a flashlight on the bottom. It folds up fairly compactly for easy storage. There have been many occasions on my visits when having a small fan has come in handy, so I keep this one in my bag at all times. VIEW ON AMAZON After that, I’m going to recommend a portable phone charger of some sort. As for me, I’m a FuelRod girlie through and through. I love that I can swap them out in the parks to get fully charged versions, so I don’t have to remember to recharge my battery pack before a park visit. FuelRod Now, you can buy these at the stands in the parks (which I have unfortunately done too many times when I forgot a charger at home), or you can shop for them on Amazon ahead of time. Sometimes they’re cheaper online than they are in the parks. VIEW ON AMAZON Now, the goal with my next item is to not have to use it, but I like to keep one on me just in case. A poncho! Our team’s favorite is the FROGG TOGGS Reusable Poncho. It comes with a storage bag, and it’s surprisingly high quality. Frogg Toggs Poncho It rains frequently in Florida — sometimes every day in the summer — and it’s nice to have something you can just throw on, so that you can continue about your day in the parks. This is also good to have on hand if you’re planning to do a water ride. VIEW ON AMAZON My fifth must-have is actually two separate items, and it might not qualify for everyone, but as a girl with long hair, it’s a necessity. I always keep a miniature hairbrush or comb in my bag, along with a couple of hair ties or a claw clip. When you’re hitting the roller coasters and even Dumbo the Flying Elephant, your hair can get pretty windswept. ©Amazon It’s nice to be able to brush out the tangles midday or after a particularly wild ride, and having the hair ties on hand is helpful for when it gets too dang hot to have my hair on my neck any longer. Plus, if I don’t pull my hair back, I simply will not be able to see a thing on Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind. VIEW ON AMAZON Of course, it wouldn’t be my responsibility if I left this item off the list — sunscreen! As I’ve mentioned several times already, the sun and heat in Florida are intense, and I’ve seen wayyyy too many people in the parks with painful-looking sunburns to skip out on the sun protection. ©Amazon We’re fans of the Supergoop! Daily Dose Vitamin C + SPF 40 sunscreen when we’re in the parks. Stays on well, even when you’re sweating! VIEW ON AMAZON Last in my list of must-haves is a good pair of sunglasses, but NOT an expensive pair! I usually get some simple but cute sunglasses from Amazon or Target that’ll match most outfits and do the trick in the parks. I can’t tell you how many times I’ve seen people lose glasses or sunglasses in the parks, so I’m not risking it with something pricey. ©Amazon Every time I forget to pack my sunglasses, I find myself regretting it when I’m standing in the middle of Tomorrowland, holding my hand over my eyes just so I can see where I’m going. The sun is BRUTAL, y’all. Packing Tips Finally, it’s time for some of my best packing tips. If you’re using a larger bag or a bag that doesn’t have a lot of built-in storage, I recommend organizing things with a zipper pouch. Whenever I carry a Loungefly, I often use a small zipper bag to put some first aid items, basic medicine, and an anti-chafe stick (it’s a lifesaver!) in. That way, those things aren’t just rolling around the bottom of the bag. Bags inside of bags! Speaking of zipper bags, it’s a good idea to bring a Ziploc or reusable waterproof zipper pouch. These can be super useful to put your phone and other valuables inside when going on water rides or when it’s raining. They can also be used to store paper items that you don’t want to get wet or damaged (like those adorable character meal autograph cards!). Reusable zip lock bags If your bag isn’t big enough to hold your water bottle inside, I suggest getting some kind of carabiner clip to attach it to the strap when you’re walking. Carrying a bottle all day can be rather annoying, and it increases the chance of you setting it down and leaving it somewhere. You can also use carabiner clips or velcro straps to attach Minnie ears to the outside of your bag when you’re not wearing them! This style of bottle comes WITH a carabiner Don’t use a wallet if you don’t have to! This may seem counterintuitive, but when I’m trying to maximize space in a small bag, I’d rather just put my cards and cash directly into an inner zip pocket than take up bag space with a bulky wallet and cards I don’t need. Most days, I only have four cards on me in the parks — driver’s license, debit card, credit card, and my Annual Pass. Many fanny packs even have built-in billfolds and card pockets. Many bags have an inner zip pocket. Last but not least, I’ll tell you to have a few snacks on hand. If you’ve got the bag space, it’s nice to have a prepackaged snack or two in your bag. I’m all about eating Disney snacks throughout the day, but sometimes you find yourself in need of a pick-me-up in a long ride queue or while you’re waiting to board the Monorail after the fireworks. In the chance that you don’t have time to stop for food, prepare ahead of time, and your future self will thank you. Prepackaged snacks That’s a wrap on my (rather long) advice for how to pack the perfect park bag. Hopefully, this article will help you in your next theme park venture, and you’ll be prepared for whatever the day has in store! If you’re looking for sweet and savory eats at this year’s DCA Food & Wine Festival, head over to Mercado de Antojos! Mickey in sprinkles! The 2026 Disney California Adventure Food & Wine Festival has officially started at Disneyland Resort, and there are LOTS of things to do. From now through April 27th, you can devour some delicious eats and drinks, check out unique entertainment, and more. Wondering just what you can eat at Mercado de Antojos? Well, we’ve checked it out and now we’re sharing our FULL thoughts. Menu Over at the Mercado de Antojos booth, you’ll find you’ll find a savory dish, a dessert, and several cocktails! 2026 Menu Now that we’ve taken a look at the menu, let’s dive into the food itself! Eats First up, we grabbed the new Torta Ahogada for $9.25. This dish is made with Braised pork carnitas, frijoles charros, pickled onion, and salsa. Okay, first off, it was VERY soggy, and this is one of those items that should have been made fresh, rather than in batches to just sit in the booth’s window. As far as flavor goes, the acidity of the tomato sauce is what you taste first, although the pickled onion adds a nice extra tang. The chicken is tender and well-seasoned. However, we’ve had better tortas at Disneyland, so we don’t think this one stands up to those. Torta Ahogada Now it’s time for a little dessert. We grabbed the returning Café de Olla Tres Leches Cake for $8.25. This treat is made with Café de Olla-infused tres leches topped with piloncillo, chantilly, cinnamon, and a Mickey-shaped cookie. We really enjoyed this cake last year, but thought they were a little heavy-handed with the chantilly cream. This year, we felt the balance was a little better. Café de Olla Tres Leches Cake It’s not too coffee-forward, and the cake is moist, while the frosting is light and creamy. The little Mickey cookie on top adds some nice crunchiness. Drinks In terms of drinks, you can get the Brown Soul Brewing Co., Quiero Maiz for $18.50. We grabbed the Paloma Flight for $19.75. You can get the flight or get individual Paloma options for $18.25. The Black Cherry Paloma is made with Blanco tequila, black cherry purée, and sweet and sour, topped with Fresca and garnished with a lime wheel. If you like cough syrup (as in that artificial cherry flavor of cough syrup), you might like this, but we’d recommend skipping it. The Blood Orange Paloma is made with Blanco tequila, Italian aperitif, blood orange juice, and sweet and sour, topped with Fresca and garnished with a lime wheel. We found this one refreshing, with a taste that leaned more towards grapefruit juice. We also couldn’t taste the alcohol, so it was easy to drink. Paloma Flight at Mercado de Antojos The Cantarito-Style Paloma doesn’t have a lot of flavor, but it does have a spicy kick. You can taste a little lime, but the spiciness is really what it’s all about. OVERALL The only thing we’d come back to for this booth is the Café de Olla Tres Leches Cake because we really don’t think the Torta even remotely compares to other tortas we’ve had at Disneyland. As far as drinks go, we’d recommend two out of the three of the flight, but if you’re getting all three, and only like two, it’s still a win, right? Full spread 2026 That’s it for this booth, but there’s a LOT more where that came from! Click here to see FULL reviews of EVERY. SINGLE. BOOTH. at the Food & Wine Festival at Disneyland Resort! Who says you have to choose between a great cocktail and an amazing meal? Inside the lounge! Disney World hotel bars are seriously underrated when it comes to food, and we’re not just talking about your standard bar snacks here. These spots offer full menus with dishes that can absolutely hold their own against some of the table service restaurants on property. Whether you’re looking for a chill spot to unwind after a park day or want to grab dinner without dealing with a reservation, these seven hotel bars have got you covered. Crew’s Cup Lounge at Disney’s Yacht Club Resort If you haven’t tried the sliders at Crew’s Cup, you’re missing out big time. This nautical-themed lounge has a relaxed vibe that makes it perfect for settling in after a long day, and those sliders are absolutely worth the trip. The space itself has that classic New England yacht club feel, and the full bar menu means you can make a whole meal out of it if you want to. Prime Rib Sliders The Prime Rib Sliders here are legitimately one of our favorite dishes at Disney World, and they continue to deliver every single time we visit. You get these incredibly tender, juicy sliders piled high with prime rib on soft onion rolls, served with au jus and horseradish cream on the side. The amount of meat you get makes the price totally reasonable, and that horseradish sauce is the perfect complement with just the right amount of kick. Prime Rib Sliders at Crew’s Cup Lounge We also have to give a shoutout to the Yachtsman Signature Bread if you’re looking to start things off right. The sourdough and onion pull-apart rolls come with roasted garlic and butter topped with hibiscus salt, and it’s honestly tough to share. Yachtsman Signature Bread at Crew’s Cup Lounge The bread is perfectly fluffy inside with that ideal crispy exterior, and spreading that roasted garlic on top is absolutely divine. Crew’s Cup The atmosphere here leans into that sportsman’s lounge aesthetic with lower lighting that makes it feel intimate and cozy. It can get pretty lively depending on when you show up, so don’t expect a quiet, secluded experience, but that energy is part of what makes it fun. Just keep in mind that the food is only available from 5 PM to 10 PM, so plan accordingly. Read Our Latest Review Here Geyser Point Bar & Grill at Disney’s Wilderness Lodge Geyser Point is hands down one of our favorite spots for casual dining at Disney World. Their chicken sandwich is incredible, and the fact that you can enjoy it with a view of Bay Lake makes it even better. This place manages to feel both laid-back and special at the same time, which is exactly what you want when you’re trying to decompress without sacrificing good food. Geyser Point Bar & Grill The setting here is really what sets it apart from other hotel bars. You’re dining outdoors with views of the lake and that beautiful Pacific Northwest theming from Wilderness Lodge all around you. There are plenty of seating options on the patio, and while it is an outdoor spot, they’ve got shade options and even a fireplace for cooler evenings, so it works pretty well in most weather conditions. Geyser Point We recently tried some of their newer menu additions and were seriously impressed. The Charcuterie Flatbread is loaded with salami, brisket, chorizo, bacon, and smoked gouda beer cheese, but it doesn’t feel as heavy as you’d expect because they balance all that meat with tons of fresh arugula and a balsamic glaze. Charcuterie Flatbread The Macaroni and Cheese Bites are a surprisingly good plant-based option with a perfectly crispy exterior and creamy filling, though the cheese flavor isn’t quite going to fool anyone into thinking it’s the real thing. Macaroni and “Cheese” This spot works as both a quick service walk-up counter and a table service lounge, which gives you flexibility depending on what kind of experience you’re looking for. Just keep in mind that if you’re not staying at Wilderness Lodge, getting here will take a bit of extra time out of your day, but we think it’s absolutely worth it for the combination of great food and that stunning lakeside atmosphere. Read Our Latest Review Here Sanaa Lounge at Disney’s Animal Kingdom Lodge The lounge at Sanaa gives you access to some of the best bread service on property without needing a full dining reservation. You can order from the regular Sanaa menu, which means you’re getting those famous naan breads with all the accompaniments, plus other African-inspired dishes that you won’t find anywhere else at Disney World. It’s the same top-tier experience, just in a way more relaxed setting. Sanaa Lounge The vibe in the lounge is super chill compared to the dining room, which honestly makes it the perfect spot to unwind after a long park day. You can grab a seat, order a cocktail, and enjoy that incredible bread service at your own pace without feeling rushed or overly formal. Sanaa Lounge The lounge menu also has other small bites available if you want to round out your meal beyond just the bread service. Samosas with chutney and slaw from Sanaa Lounge This is one of those Disney hacks that not everyone knows about yet, but it’s genuinely a game-changer for people who either forgot to make reservations or just don’t want to commit to a full sit-down experience. Read Our Latest Review Here Steakhouse 71 Lounge at Disney’s Contemporary Resort This retro-inspired lounge lets you order from the full Steakhouse 71 menu without committing to a full sit-down experience. The atmosphere here is really fun, and it’s become one of our go-to spots when we want something a bit more upscale but don’t want to deal with the formality of a traditional table service meal. Steakhouse 71 Lounge The lounge is tucked behind the host stand and can be easy to miss if you don’t know it’s there, but once you find it, you’ll understand why it’s such a gem. While it doesn’t serve the complete dining room menu, it has a fantastic selection of light bites, including crab cakes, onion rings, burgers, and shrimp cocktails. We’re particularly obsessed with getting the crab cakes and onion rings to share. Lump Crab Cakes One of our absolute favorite items here is the Stack Burger, which features a signature beef blend topped with pork belly, American cheese, lemon aioli, red onion, and house-made pickles on a brioche bun. It’s genuinely one of the best burgers at Disney World. If you’re stopping by earlier in the day, the Bacon and Eggs with maple-lacquered pork belly and smoked cheese grits is way more interesting than typical diner breakfast fare. Stack Burger from Steakhouse 71 The lounge is open from noon to 11 PM daily, which makes it perfect for a late-night snack after the parks or even as a lunch escape when you don’t want to deal with the Magic Kingdom crowds. You can hop on the resort monorail or walk over from the park, enjoy some great food in the air conditioning, and be back at it in no time. It’s also a solid stop if you’re doing a monorail hotel bar crawl around the resorts. Read Our Latest Review Here Ale & Compass Lounge at Disney’s Yacht Club Resort Another Yacht Club winner, Ale & Compass Lounge, serves up some seriously good food in a cozy, nautical setting. The New England-inspired menu has plenty of seafood options, and their small plates are perfect for sharing. This spot tends to fly under the radar, which means it’s usually easier to grab a seat here than at some of the more popular hotel bars. Ale & Compass Lounge The Parker House Rolls with spreads are an absolute must-try here. They come with three different options including bacon jam, pub cheese, and citrus butter, but that bacon jam is the real star of the show. It’s sweet with a caramelized onion flavor, and honestly, we could eat it with a spoon. The rolls themselves are super fluffy with a nice crust on top and brushed with butter, making them dangerously addictive. Parker House Rolls We’re also big fans of the Truffle Fries served with roasted shallot mayonnaise. The truffle flavor is present but not overwhelming, and that roasted shallot mayo tastes like delicious caramelized onions that complement the truffle perfectly. The Clams Casino are another solid choice with bacon, peppers, and white wine herbed butter that make for a really addicting salty bite, especially when paired with one of their cocktails. Truffle Fries Speaking of drinks, the Pineapple Mule is light and refreshing with a perfect balance of ginger beer and pineapple that isn’t too sweet. If you’re looking for something sweeter and dangerously easy to drink, the Just Peachy is basically a boozy tropical punch. Pineapple Mule This lounge is ideal when you want a relaxing atmosphere with quality food and drinks, but don’t have time for a full table service experience, or couldn’t snag a reservation at the main restaurant. Read Our Latest Review Here Territory Lounge at Disney’s Wilderness Lodge Can we talk about how Territory Lounge is basically a hidden gem? It’s tucked away just off the main lobby, so it feels totally secluded even though it’s super convenient. That vegan skillet mac and cheese is supposedly meant for sharing, but we’re not judging if you keep it all to yourself. Spicy Macaroni and “Cheese” Actually, let’s talk more about those secret menu items because Territory Lounge is kind of a cheat code for getting table service dishes without needing reservations. The Mushroom Bisque from Storybook Dining at Artist Point is available here for way less hassle than booking the full dining experience. It’s a winner for so many people, and being able to grab it without a reservation is honestly game-changing. Mushroom Bisque from Storybook Dining at Artist Point But wait, there’s more. You can also order items from Whispering Canyon Cafe at Territory Lounge, including their Barbecue Pork Ribs. You get three ribs without having to deal with the whole Whispering Canyon experience, which is perfect if you want the food but aren’t in the mood for the restaurant’s notoriously loud and interactive atmosphere. They also have the Whispering Canyon Pioneer Chocolate Cake available, which is a warm, flourless chocolate cake served with vanilla ice cream that’s seriously rich and decadent. Whispering Canyon Pioneer Chocolate Cake The fact that you can access menu items from multiple table service restaurants in one lounge without any reservations makes Territory Lounge one of the smartest dining hacks at Disney World. It’s centrally located, feels private and cozy, and gives you access to some really quality food that you’d normally need to plan way ahead for. Read Our Latest Review Here Citrico’s Lounge at Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort Here’s the thing about Citrico’s Lounge: it manages to feel both luxurious and approachable at the same time, which is harder to pull off than you’d think. You get access to the full Citrico’s menu here (unlike Enchanted Rose next door, which only offers a limited alternative menu from the same kitchen). Unless you’re absolutely obsessed with live-action Beauty and the Beast, we’d recommend skipping Enchanted Rose in favor of Citrico’s Lounge for a better overall experience. Cítricos Lounge The atmosphere here is absolutely gorgeous with plush Victorian-style seating arranged around shared tables and cascading windows that let in tons of natural light. There’s an extensive bar that stretches well into the space, and if you snag a seat there, you can enjoy views overlooking the hotel grounds and a partial view of Seven Seas Lagoon. The whole space makes you feel fancy without being stuffy or uncomfortable. Citricos Lounge seating Now let’s talk about the food, because this is where Citrico’s Lounge really shines. The Oak-grilled Filet Mignon is so tender you could probably cut it with a butter knife, and while it carries a signature dining price tag, you’ll forget all about that when you taste it. Delicious! The Truffle Macaroni and Cheese is honestly one of the best elevated mac and cheese dishes we’ve had at Disney World. The Clam Chowder is served St. Augustine style with a bisque-like texture that’s creamy and delicious with Cedar Key clams, purple potato, and applewood bacon. A spoonful of clam chowder Don’t skip the bread service either. The ciabatta and olive bread come with guava butter topped with basil salt, and it’s so good you’ll want to learn how to make it at home. The Passion Margarita is a popular choice here for good reason, with passion fruit popping pearls that burst in your mouth. Passion Margarita The service is incredibly attentive, and while you can clearly tell which side is the lounge versus the restaurant seating, you don’t feel any less taken care of. This is the perfect spot when you want a signature dining experience without needing a reservation or dealing with a strict dress code. Just keep in mind that the lounge isn’t huge, so if you’re traveling with a large group, you might feel a bit cramped or need to split up. What do you think of Disney’s live-action remakes? We know that’s a loaded question because there are a LOT of opinions out there about whether Disney should be converting its animated works into live-action movies. ©Disney Regardless of how you feel about live-action remakes, though, many have done very well for the company. The live-action Lilo & Stitch did so well at the box office that Disney decided to make a sequel. However, on the other side of the debate, the live-action Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs didn’t do well for the company. So it’s not always a sure bet that a live-action movie will be a hit at the box office. Well, according to The Hollywood Reporter, Disney has decided not to go down the live-action movie road for another film that it had live-action plans for: Robin Hood. In 2020, Disney revealed it had plans to bring the Oo-De-Lally world of Robin Hood, its animated film based on folklore surrounding an infamous British outlaw known for stealing from the rich and giving to the poor, to live-action life with both live-action and CGI. At the time, Disney had pegged Raya and the Last Dragon director Carlos Lopez Estrada to direct the movie with Lady and the Tramp writer Kari Granlund writing the script. Now, it seems plans for that movie are kaput. ©Disney During a recent Reddit AMA, Estrada confirmed that Disney was not moving forward with the live-action film. “It’s dead, sadly,” he wrote as a response to a question. “I say ‘sadly’ because I actually thought there was something really special (and original!) there. Some truly extraordinary music we had figured out for it.” He also admitted that he keeps daydreaming about doing the film independently (after all, Disney doesn’t own the rights to the Robin Hood folktales) with different characters. Friar Tuck and Robin Hood However, that doesn’t mean Disney is done with live-action movies. The live-action Moana arrives in theaters this summer, while the company is also committed to making a live-action movie based on Gaston from Beauty and the Beast and a live-action Hercules. We’ll keep an eye out for more Disney news, so stay tuned to DFB for more. Okay, beer fans, this booth’s for you! Come along with us to this year’s California Craft Brews Festival Marketplace Booth at the 2026 Disney California Adventure Food & Wine Festival! California Craft Brews booth The 2026 Disney California Adventure Food & Wine Festival has officially started at Disneyland Resort, and there are LOTS of things to do. From now through April 27th, you can devour some tasty eats and drinks, check out unique entertainment, and more. Wondering just what you can eat and sip (with the emphasis on sip) at California Craft Brews? Well, we’ve checked it out, and now we’re sharing our FULL thoughts. Menu Even though California Craft Brews shines the spotlight on beer, you can also grab Chicharrón Nachos here. 2026 Menu A few cocktails are up for grabs, too: California Punch, the Mango Guava Cocktail, and a Tropical Chamoy Michelada. Finally, the aforementioned California brews include Bottle Logic Brewing’s Explorando Mexican lager, Trademark Brewing’s Codebreaker IPA, Russian River Brewing Company’s Blind Pig IPA, and a seltzer: LA Bodega Brewing Company’s La Fresa. These can be enjoyed individually or with the California Beer Flight. Ready to raise a glass (or four )? Let’s go! Eats The new Chicharrón Nachos are available for $9. The plate is made up of Chicharrón, chorizo, cheese sauce, tomatoes, and salsa verde. Chicharrón Nachos You need to eat these FAST, or else they get super super soggy! The chicharróns don’t have much flavor on their own. The flavor comes from the meat the most. It has SO much seasoning, with a long-lasting kick. The meat is very ground up and easy to eat. We liked the nacho cheese in it, along with the tomato, even though they both didn’t add much flavor. We could’ve used a little more tomatoes and onions. Overall, we really enjoyed this! Chicharrón Nachos Drinks The Tropical Chamoy Michelada is new this year. For $21, tomato juice, chamoy, and passion fruit purée are served with Bottle Logic Explorando, and it’s finished with a Tajín Clásico rim. Tropical Chamoy Michelada This drink had an immediate tomato juice taste. You don’t get too much of the lager, with a little bit of lager for the aftertaste. It’s mostly the tomato juice with a little kick from the chamoy. There’s a little bit of zest from the lime, but not that much. Overall, it’s just mostly dominated by the tomato juice, so it’s more of an acquired taste of beer. This is more of an acquired taste! The California Punch returns from its debut last year for $9. This non-alcoholic drink mixes mango purée, guava nectar, cucumber syrup, and lemon juice. It’s garnished with a mango chile lollipop! California Punch Between the blend of unique, fresh flavors (with an emphasis on the fruit) and the flavorful garnish, this drink definitely rises above your average mocktail. It’s a terrific non-alcoholic option. Last year’s Mango Guava Cocktail is back, as well, for $18.00. Essentially, it adds vodka to the California Punch, and is garnished with a rainbow sour belt gummy for a fun (and literal) twist! Mango Guava Cocktail As with the California Punch, we don’t get much of the cucumber flavor, except in a bit of the aftertaste. But simply put, this is a refreshing light and fruity drink. Finally, the California Beer Flight costs $18.50. It’s comprised of Bottle Logic Brewing’s Explorando Mexican lager, Trademark Brewing’s Codebreaker IPA, Russian River Brewing Company’s Blind Pig IPA, and a seltzer: LA Bodega Brewing Company’s La Fresa. Each can be enjoyed individually for $17.00, with the exception of Trademark Brewing’s Codebreaker IPA, which costs $18.50. OVERALL Overall, the booth is fine, but it’s nothing you need to go running to! The nachos are worth the try, but with so much that the festival has to offer, you don’t have to make this spot your priority. Here’s what we got! If you have not yet made your way to The Cake Bake Shop Bakery on the BoardWalk at Disney World, we have one question for you: what are you waiting for? Red Velvet Cake Seriously, this place is a gem, and the Red Velvet Cake is the kind of thing that makes you rethink every red velvet cake you have ever had before it. We aren’t being dramatic. Okay, maybe a little. But only a little. The Details The Red Velvet Cake from The Cake Bake Shop Bakery on the BoardWalk will run you $22. The Cake Bake Shop Bakery menu Yes, that is a real number, and yes, we are here to tell you it is worth it. What Is It, Exactly? This is a three-layer red velvet cake that is absolutely stunning to look at. Red Velvet Cake The exterior is coated in a pink buttercream that is honestly one of the prettiest things we have seen in a Disney World bakery, and the inside layers are filled with cream cheese frosting. The cake itself is deeply, richly red and incredibly moist, and there are what appear to be chocolate chunks worked in as well, adding this subtle depth that you wouldn’t necessarily expect but absolutely appreciate. How Does It Taste? So good. That is the short version. The longer version is that this is the kind of dessert that hits all the right notes without going overboard. Red Velvet Cake It’s sweet, but it’s not that cloying, one-bite-and-you-are-done kind of sweet. You can actually eat a real portion of this thing and enjoy every single bite without feeling like you need to lie down afterward. A few bites in and you’re not already tapping out, which feels likea rare thing in the world of Disney desserts, and we don’t take it lightly. Red Velvet Cake It is genuinely filling, though, so if you are planning to power through the whole slice solo right before a big meal, maybe recalibrate your expectations. But if you are splitting it or pacing yourself between park activities, this is an absolute treat. Red Velvet Cake We’ve ordered this multiple times, and it holds up every single time. That kind of consistency is everything. One Small Note The one thing we will flag is the utensil situation. We received a pretty flimsy spork with our order, which is not exactly ideal when you are trying to cut through three layers of cake. A sturdier plastic fork would go a long way here. Red Velvet Cake For a $22 dessert, a more solid utensil feels like a reasonable ask. It is a minor gripe, but worth knowing so you can mentally prepare or ask for an upgrade at the counter. The Bottom Line The Cake Bake Shop Bakery consistently delivers some of the best baked goods you can find anywhere on Disney property, and the Red Velvet Cake is a prime example of why people keep coming back. It is a splurge, no question, but it is the kind of splurge that feels completely justified from the first bite. If red velvet is your thing, this one is going to be hard to beat. Ready to experience some unique California cuisine? Come along with us to LA Style at this year’s Disney California Adventure Food & Wine Festival. Full Spread from LA Style! The 2026 Disney California Adventure Food & Wine Festival has officially started at Disneyland Resort and there are LOTS of things to do. From now through April 27th, you can devour some tasty eats and drinks, check out unique entertainment, and more. Wondering just what you can eat at LA Style? Well, we’ve checked it out and now we’re sharing our FULL thoughts. Menu Over at LA Style you’ll find a variety of menu items – and most of them are NEW this year! The only item returning is the Junior LA Street Dog, while the other dining option, and both drink items are totally new. LA Style Now that we’ve taken a look at the menu, let’s dive into the food itself! Eats First up, we grabbed Junior LA Street Dog for $8.50! This spin on a hot dog is served with jalapeño mayo, pepper and onion relish, Nueske’s Applewood Smoked Bacon, and crispy onions. Junior LA Street Dog We can see why this one is a returning favorite, especially since it’s not too heavy. The bun was nice and fresh, the hot dog itself was cooked well, and our only real complaint is that there were SO many bell peppers, which made it hard to taste the bacon. The jalapeño mayo definitely had a kick to it, so keep that in mind! Lots of bell peppers! Next up, we tried the new Carbonara Pizzetta for $8. This fun little flatbread-style snack is made with White sauce, Nueske’s Applewood Smoked Bacon, and black pepper drizzle! Carbonara Pizzetta The garlic and parmesan are the two flavors that come out the most in here. Again, the flavor of the bacon is once again masked by other ingredients, but that didn’t take away our enjoyment of it! We loved that the dough itself wasn’t too thick and didn’t overpower the toppings. It was well-balanced overall, so we’d love to see this one return! Drinks In terms of drinks at this menu, we got the family-friendly Cherry Cola Cold Brew for $7.50. This is made with Joffrey’s Coffee 70th Anniversary Blend, oat milk, and vanilla crème and cherry syrups, topped with a cherry cola cold foam and a maraschino cherry. Cherry Cola Cold Brew The cherry cola is the main flavor here, and we really only tasted the coffee on the backend. It lingered on our tongue a bit, but not unpleasantly. The cold foam was so thick it was hard to drink without a straw, as well as a little unbalanced, so we do recommend snagging a straw to mix it all up to even out all the flavors! Definitely grab a straw! Finally, we tried the new Seaborn Strawberry Lemonade Margarita for $18.25. Seaborn Strawberry Lemonade Margarita This is super light and refreshing, and the main flavor here is strawberry! Both the lemonade and the alcohol are just small hints of flavor, so you’ve really got to enjoy the flavor of the strawberry to like this drink, and we’d equate it more to a hard seltzer than a margarita since it’s so light. OVERALL This was a big hit for us overall! We were pleasantly surprised that nothing was too heavy, and the flavors were all pretty well balanced. There wasn’t anything that totally blew our minds, that’s true, but if you know you’ll enjoy these flavor profiles, we say it’s certainly worth trying! It was a solid booth! That’s it for this booth, but there’s a LOT more where that came from! Click here to see FULL reviews of EVERY. SINGLE. BOOTH. at the Food & Wine Festival at Disneyland Resort! While roller coasters might not be the first type of ride that comes to mind when one thinks of Walt Disney World, especially compared to comeptitors like Universal Orlando, the truth is that the “Most Magical Place on Earth” has been a coaster hub since Space Mountain first opened 50 years ago, with major rides like Expedition Everest and Gaurdians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind being some of the resort’s most popular attractions. ©Disney 2026 is shaping up to be an especially major year in Disney roller coaster history, with major refurbishments and reopenings, massive construction projects, and even some alleged changes that could change the future of the resort forever. We’re Seeing BIG Changes at Disney World’s New “Monsters, Inc.” Land BONUS: What’s Going on with Villains Land? Back in 2024, Disney announced that the long-rumored Villains Land was coming to the area “Beyond” Big Thunder Mountain at the Magic Kingdom. While scant details were released, concept art for the land seemed to show a dark and twisted coaster as one of its centerpieces. ©Disney Over the last year, land has been cleared in the area, and it seemed like Villains Land was on track to open in the next several years… until rumors emerged in 2026 that incoming CEO D’Amaro had instructed Imagineers to throw away their plans, including the coaster, and start anew. According to a February article in TheWrap, “The coaster was planned to be the big draw. As the concept art suggested, it was going to be themed to Maleficent, the big bad from Sleeping Beauty, who was later brought to life in the live-action Maleficent films by Angelina Jolie. This was going to be a really-for-real thrill ride…” Ta-da! However, the article goes on to say that the coaster concept is “being converted to a more family-friendly coaster, along the lines of Slinky Dog Dash at Disney’s Hollywood Studios, this time themed to The Emperor’s New Groove. This makes sense, considering that antagonists Yzma and Kronk actually ride a rollercoaster in that 2000 comedy, and how many more guests you can get on the ride with a lower height requirement. (Before you ask, yes, there is a “pull the lever” moment in the ride currently.)” The outlet goes on to say that clarification on the plans are likely to be released at the D23 event in August. ©Disney While the mystery of what’s going on in Villains Land likely won’t be known until the summer at the earliest, 2026 is scheduled to see two major coaster (re)openings before then! We love a good Disney deal or discount, who doesn’t?! ©Disney Having multiple streaming services can quickly rack up that monthly bill. Even having Disney+ and Hulu alone can add up over time. Well, Disney just announced a brand-new bundle deal that can help you save on the Disney streaming service. You’re not going to want to miss out on this huge Disney+ and Hulu deal happening now! Normally, the ad-supported version of the Disney+ and Hulu bundle costs $12.99 per month. However, Disney has a new deal for viewers. From now through March 24th, new and returning subscribers can take advantage of a deal that’ll get you the ad-supported versions of both streaming services for $4.99 a month for THREE months! Do we have your attention now? ©Disney This is a 62% discount from the original price. The deal alone is awesome, and then add on top of that the fact that you’re getting TWO services for such a low price. ©Disney This offer couldn’t come at a better time, as there are a ton of new releases hitting the streaming platform. Things like Zootopia 2, Maul – Shadow Lord, and Season 4 of The Secret Lives of Mormon Wives will arrive on the platforms soon! The three-month period will have more new releases on top of all the content that Disney+ and Hulu already have. ©Disney Something else to note is that this month, Josh D’Amaro, the current Chairman of Disney Parks, Experiences and Products, will become Disney’s new CEO, as Bob Iger steps down. Dana Walden, the current co-chairperson of Disney Entertainment, will become President and Chief Creative Officer. We’re more curious if the leadership change will impact Disney’s streaming service at all, mostly looking at whether prices go up, down, or stay relatively the same. ©Disney Whether you’re thinking of becoming a Disney+ subscriber or you already are, this is a deal you’ll want to take advantage of!
