  1. Before you head out for a full day at Magic Kingdom or EPCOT, you’ll want to grab some breakfast to power you through the day! Chef Mickey’s Waffle, Pancakes, and French Toast While sometimes only a Mickey Waffle will do, other times you may find yourself looking for a more unique breakfast treat! We recently stopped by a Walt Disney World resort and found one delicious (and beautiful!) breakfast item for you avocado toast fans, and one breakfast entree you might want to skip! As we walked into Disney’s Caribbean Beach Resort, we were totally transported to a tropical paradise! For our latest breakfast adventure, we headed into Old Port Royale. Caribbean Beach Inside, we stopped at Centertown Market, a quick service spot at Caribbean Beach, to check out what breakfast bites we could find. We were greeted by a sign featuring the mobile order QR code for the restaurant. Centertown Market Mobile Order None of the registers were in use, but physical distance markers were on the ground where you would wait in line. Centertown Market Condiments were self-serve here, as were napkins and utensils. We were pleased to see those single-serve utensil dispensers like what we’ve been seeing at the 2020 Taste of Epcot International Food and Wine Festival! Centertown Market Cast Members kindly served us our coffee from behind the beverage stand. Centertown Market Drinks Station Then, we took our coffee and breakfast items and found a nice spot outside to sit and enjoy! Caribbean Beach First up was the Avocado Toast!! Of course, this isn’t the only place to get Avocado Toast around Disney World. But we were really impressed with this offering. This dish features a slice of toast loaded with avocado, tomatoes, oranges, pickled onions, and sriracha mayonnaise. It was beautiful, colorful, and, most importantly, delicious!! The avocado was fresh and chunky, not mushy or overripe. The mandarin oranges added a nice sweetness, and the pickled red onions balanced things out with a pop of flavor and a great added texture! Centertown Market Avocado Toast The layer of sriracha mayonnaise on the bottom really brought the whole dish together and added some moisture, making it more of a sandwich than just toast. This was also a filling breakfast option, and a really good find for vegetarians. This avocado toast can be all yours for $7.99. The Open-faced Ham & Cheese Omelet, on the other hand, was unfortunately not as big of a hit for us. The omelette features cage-free eggs filled with ham, cheddar cheese, and it’s topped with fresh arugula. We got ours with some bacon and sausage. Centertown Market Egg Omelette For us, the omelette was more like a flat and thick egg pancake with bits of ham and a layer of cheese. It didn’t taste very fresh. This dish was $10.29. We’d recommend opting for the Avocado Toast or some Mickey Waffles instead! We love to see delicious breakfast items around Disney World. We’ll definitely be checking out more breakfast items in the future and let you know what delicious new treats we find! Click here to read all about what it’s like to eat breakfast with Disney characters since the re-opening! What is your favorite Disney breakfast dish? Let us know in the comments! 4. We love catching a glimpse of the construction going on at EPCOT’s France pavilion from our eyes in the sky — Disney Skyliner! France Construction But today we couldn’t believe how much progress they’ve made! Before you proceed, click here to see what the France pavilion looked like back in February of this year so you can compare! As we made our way along the waterway, we could see the additions to there France pavilion are looking very LOVELY! The trees were lush and green while new benches and lamp posts have been installed! France Construction EPCOT’s construction really appears to be zipping along! Earlier today we saw work being done on the new PLAY! Pavilion and also scoped out the new fountain near EPCOT’s entryway in Future World. Although the France pavilion is an entire World Showcase away, it was bustling with workers and heavy machinery as well! France Construction We can’t wait to walk the “streets of Paris” when the construction is finished, especially at nighttime when they’ll most certainly look très romantique! Remember — it’s not just Remy’s Ratatouille Adventure that’s going in back here but a new restaurant, La Crêperie de Paris, as well! France Construction As we began to wrap around the back of the pavilion, we spotted workers on the rooftops… France Construction …and a large Cast Members-only section that won’t be visible to guests who are standing inside EPCOT once the project is done. France Construction Cast Members are still actively working on the exterior of the buildings and sadly, we don’t know what things are looking like inside! France Construction That being said, it’s tough to say whether or not Remy’s Ratatouille Adventure and Le Crêperie de Paris will open this summer as originally scheduled or not, but we’ll keep you updated with any info we find out! Check out the new Macaron Minnie ears we spotted at the France pavilion here! Are you looking forward to riding Remy’s Ratatouille Adventure when it opens? Let us know in the comments below! 5. The Disney World parks have now reopened, but some attractions and entertainment offerings are still unavailable, including several shows which involve live performers. Disney World While Disney had planned to call performers back for rehearsals ahead of the park reopenings, the Actor’s Equity Association unanimously rejected Walt Disney World’s plan for the safety of its members due to the absence of testing in the proposal. However, it appears that the impasse has drawn to a close. According to Deadline, the Actor’s Equity Association has applauded Disney’s recent commitment to providing free, on-site coronavirus testing for employees and their families, and announced today that they’ve signed an agreement with the Resort to allow union members to return to work. Magic Kingdom Testing is currently available for Disney World Cast Members and family members at Disney’s main gate office complex near Animal Kingdom. The test is a self-administered nasal swab which allows users to swab inside their vehicle under the supervision of trained medical personnel. Results are then delivered within three to five business days. Disney’s Animal Kingdom Equity represents about 750 Cast Members, many of whom perform in stage productions around the Resort. No dates have been announced yet for the resumption of actor-staffed productions in Disney World, but we’ll continue to keep an eye out for any additional updates! Take a look at the NEW pylons that have been installed near the EPCOT entrance! Which Disney World stage production is your favorite? Let us know in the comments! 6. It’s been a REAL nail biter watching our favorite park characters move forward in the DFB Park Characters Throw Down or admit some major defeats. Mickey & Friends Motorcade We’ve had to say goodbye to friends like the sweetest Disney Princesses, Woody and Buzz (say it ain’t so!), and multiple members of the Fab Five. But, the next round might prove to be the most difficult! Everything has narrowed down to the Finals, where we were left with some of the most iconic characters in the Disney Parks. Although we had a feeling the next round would break some hearts, we had to say au revoir to Pluto and Goofy before diving into the last round. PLUTO! Although we usually pair Mickey and Minnie together, they’re going head-to-head as they battle it out for the top DFB Park Characters spot! Are you going to choose Minnie with her wonderful smile and fabulous style? Or, are you going to go with a classic like Mickey since he’s the mouse who started it all? Final Round! The choice may be tough, but it’s YOURS!! You can wrap up your picks with the printable bracket and by voting on our Instagram in the LAST round tonight! Once we’ve figured out which character has won the bracket, we’ll announce which mouse will reign supreme. 8. One of our top tips for visiting Disney World is to make sure you stay HYDRATED! Free Cup of Water And while guests can get free cups of water at quick service restaurants around the parks, we like to bring along a reusable water bottle as well to make sure we’ve got a backup stash! So, when we spotted some cute new water bottles on our visit to EPCOT today, we just had to share! Hey, if you’re going to carry a reusable water bottle on your vacation, why not make it Disney?? While strolling through Mouse Gear in EPCOT, we found this adorable Vacation Mode Water Bottle! Vacation Mode Water Bottle The design of the bottle has Mickey rocking his shades with a palm tree in the background, which is giving us some serious tropical vibes. In fact, this water bottle would pair well with the other tropical merch we’ve spotted in the parks recently! Vacation Mode Water Bottle If you’re ready to switch on vacation mode, you can snag this water bottle for $22.99! Vacation Mode Water Bottle A few weeks ago we found a gorgeous light pink Best Day Ever Water Bottle at Downtown Disney. And today, we spotted a SUPER shiny version of the Best Day Ever Water Bottle at Mouse Gear! Best Day Ever Water Bottle We can’t help but think of Tangled when we hear the phrase “best day ever!” And instead of a period between each word, it features Mickey heads and Cinderella Castle! You can add this to your collection for $27.99. Best Day Ever Water Bottle We can definitely see ourselves sippin’ in style with these water bottles! 9. We’re back again in Disneyland’s Downtown Disney today! Ballast Point Brewing Co. Today has been quite the time for discovery in the shopping and dining district with the reopening of Ralph Brennan’s Jazz Kitchen and the arrival of the new Together Again Masks! But, we’ve also got some GREAT news for all the coffee lovers out there, just in time for Pumpkin Spice season around the corner! When we were in Downtown Disney two weeks ago, we noticed that the Starbucks location near the LEGO Store had surprisingly closed. Although there was a note on the door, there was no notice about when the location would reopen. The location across from World of Disney remained open. Closure Sign at Starbucks Today, the closed Starbucks reopened to guests AGAIN. While there are distancing measures in place with markers, plexiglass barriers, and more, people going to the district can place their orders through Mobile Order. Starbucks And, in case you’re wondering, Pumpkin Spice Lattes should be back at the ‘bucks around August 27th (and we’re literally counting down the days). Since there are A LOT of differences in a reopened Downtown Disney, we’ll continue to keep you updated on everything you need to know about returning! 10. Ah EPCOT, the land of festivals and food (oh, and some pretty amazing rides too)! EPCOT As we walked around EPCOT today, we noticed one of the 2020 Taste of Epcot International Food and Wine Festival food booths had closed down. But, as they say, when one snack spot closes, another one opens! (They totally say that right?) Well, we found a newly reopened snack spot in EPCOT that can satisfy some of your basic Disney snack needs! If you haven’t already walked into the Odyssey Events Pavilion to check out Walt Disney Imagineering presents the Epcot Experience, you definitely should check it out on your next trip! You’ll get a peek at the newest updates coming to EPCOT. EPCOT Experience After you get incredibly excited about the future of EPCOT, you can check out Eats at the EPCOT Experience, a relatively small counter-service spot inside the Odyssey pavilion where you can grab some quick snacks and drinks. Eats at the Epcot Experience Earlier this year, this spot got quite a few substantial food items added to the menu like Chicken Nuggets, a Pepperoni Flatbread, and even a Sliced Turkey and Mozzarella Sandwich. But now the menu has now been reduced back to just a few snack items including Pop-Secret Popcorn, a Mickey Pretzel with Cheese Sauce, and some frozen treats like Mickey’s Premium Ice Cream Bar and a Frozen Strawberry Lemonade Cup. Eats at the Epcot Experience Menu There are also a few alcoholic drink options available like some seasonal beers… Eats at the Epcot Experience …and seasonal hard ciders. Eats at the Epcot Experience Sadly, we didn’t find any flavored popcorn here. While Eats at the EPCOT Experience has a relatively small menu, if you’re looking for an air-conditioned spot where you can quickly grab a classic Disney snack, then this may be a good spot for you to check out. Eats at the Epcot Experience If you’re looking for some more exotic eats, then you’ll definitely want to eat your way through the many booths that are part of the Food and Wine Festival! Or, you can pop into a restaurant in one of the World Showcase pavilions, like Les Halles Boulangerie-Patisserie in the France pavilion. Regardless of where your taste buds take you, we hope you have a delicious adventure! Click here to check out a construction update on EPCOT’s upcoming Play! pavilion! 12. We can’t believe EPCOT has been open for almost an entire month now! Food and Wine Festival Time really flies when you’re out and about enjoying the Taste of EPCOT International Food and Wine Festival. This year the festival features over 2o signature global marketplaces scattered throughout the World Showcase this year! We’ve been frequent visitors of the China booth since the festival began, and we’ve polished off more than a few Mongolian Beef Bao Buns which you can read our review of here! But check out this other nice treat we enjoyed on our way through China today — the pavilion’s massive gift shop, House of Good Fortune, has reopened. Let’s go check it out! House of Good Fortune When EPCOT reopened last month, only select restaurants, shops, and entertainment were operating. But in the following weeks, more businesses have slowly begun to welcome back guests and now it looks like we’ll be adding House of Good Fortune to the list! Plexiglass barriers have now been installed at the cash registers and social distancing markers have been placed on the ground for guests to stand at while waiting to checkout. House of Good Fortune There’s also a defined “way in” and “way out” to keep guests from bumping into each other as they come and go! House of Good Fortune Those in-the-know know House of Good Fortune isn’t JUST a gift shop! Towards the back of the store, you can snag some truly one-of-a-kind cotton candy creations! But don’t get your cotton candy dreams and hopes up just yet! The area where the Cotton Candy Artist, Wenbo Zhang, normally spins his web of sugary magic is still closed! Grab ‘n Go Area is Still Closed And since the grab ‘n go area is also still closed, a few snacks packaged teas have been relocated to the gift shop area. Snacks at House of Good Fortune Next time you’re passing by the China pavilion, stop by House of Good Fortune and scope the place out for yourself! Who knows — maybe some of its good luck will rub off on you! Click here to read all of our Taste of EPCOT food booth reviews! 13. It’s getting harder and HARDER to contain our pure cookie joy over the new Gideon’s Bakehouse that’s coming soon to Disney Springs! Photo Credit: Gideon’s Bakehouse on Instagram We’ve been pretty amped up about the new location which will offer timed cookie drops, giant cake slices, and an explosion of artist collabs when it opens — like these handmade Gideon’s mugs they’re selling at their Orlando shop right now! We recently scouted out the current location of Gideon’s Bakehouse in Orlando at the East End Market to catch a glimpse of what’s to come. But today, one of our readers happened to walk by the new Gideon’s Bakehouse’s storefront in Disney Springs and snapped a few rather-interesting pics of the work-in-progress! Thank you @tkub1218 for being so hip to the cookie jive! New Signage at Gideon’s Bakehouse The signs that have just been installed on the exterior of the new Gideon’s Bakehouse make the shop look more like a bookstore than a bakery! It’s hard to make out exactly what they say, but we definitely see the word, bookseller! New Signage at Gideon’s Bakehouse Given the eclectic vibe of the current Gideon’s Bakehouse which tons of hardcover books and vintage-inspired objects, we’re betting the new Disney Springs location will have a similar look and feel! Current Gideon’s Bakehouse’s Location in Orlando Annnd now we’re even MORE excited to step foot inside the new bakery when it opens later this year! We’ll let you know what other elements we see added to the building as we count down the days to Gideon’s Bakehouse’s yet-to-be-announced grand opening, so stay tuned! Islands of the Caribbean Food Booth After talking with a Cast Member, we were informed that the booth will be closed until further notice. We were not given details on why the location closed in the first place, but we will give you all the details when we have more information. 22. The EPCOT Transformation seems to be hitting its stride now that the park has been reopened for a while. EPCOT Earlier today, we stopped by the front of EPCOT’s to check out the new pylons that have just been installed for World Celebration’s reimagined fountain. But that’s not all the progress that has been made. Last week we shared a brief look at the construction taking place on the PLAY! Pavilion. Once opened, this spot will be a brand new experience for guests that will be housed entirely inside the former Wonders of Life pavilion. Now, we’re back to take a closer look. Former Wonders of Life Pavilion A few months ago, Disney filed permits for work that will take place inside the pavilion. Today, we saw active work taking place outside. As we approached the building, we could see construction workers working on the roof of the structure! They have even removed one of the triangle panels, leaving what looks to be a hole in the building. Former Wonders of Life Pavilion Here’s what the Play! Pavilion is supposed to look like once completed. PLAY!
