Details That Bring the Space to Life As with any Disney location, the magic is in the details. The floral patterns, plush fabrics, and gentle hues of green, blue, and gold create a serene atmosphere that feels connected to nature. Organic shapes appear throughout the room, portraying the flowers and leaves you’d find in a flourishing garden, creating a lush escape for anyone who enters. Packing for Disney World is a little like packing for an extremely magical survival challenge. ©Getty Images You’re going to be hot. You’re going to be thirsty. Your phone battery is going to start acting like it has personally given up on your vacation by 2PM. And somehow, despite all your best intentions, there will come a moment when you’re standing in the middle of a theme park thinking, “I really should’ve brought that.” That’s where this list comes in. If you’ve got a Disney World trip on the calendar for this year, there are a few park-bag heroes you really don’t want to forget. Some of them are obvious. Some of them are a little more sneaky-genius. And all of them can help make your day smoother, cooler, less blistery, and significantly less chaotic. Park bag essentials Because yes, Disney World is magical. But it’s also Florida. Which means your packing strategy should include equal parts pixie dust and practical decision-making. Technology Let’s start with the one thing that has basically become a modern park essential: a portable phone charger. Your phone is doing a lot of heavy lifting at Disney World these days. You’ll likely be checking the My Disney Experience app throughout the day for reservations, Mobile Order, wait times, maps, and other vacation details. Disney MagicMobile is also still part of the technology toolkit for guests using eligible phones or smart devices, and Lightning Lane planning continues to live in that same digital universe. Translation: if your phone dies, your park day gets dramatically more annoying. Bring a charger that can last all day, and honestly, if you’ve got room, bring a backup. Your future self, standing in line with 8% battery and a rapidly rising sense of doom, will be deeply grateful. view ON AMAZON Stay Cool & Protected from the Heat and Sun Disney World in the sunshine is lovely. Disney World, when the heat starts body-slamming your will to live, is a different story. Cooling towels are still one of the smartest things you can toss in your bag, especially if you’re visiting in late spring, summer, or early fall. Cooling Towels Sure, you can grab a cooling towel in Disney World, but it’s also going to cost you a pretty penny for one of them. That’s not that bad, especially when you feel like you’re slowly melting into asphalt. What if we told you there’s a better option? Lotion, stick, spray, mineral powder, whatever works for you. It is the quiet little thread holding your entire vacation together. The good news is that Walt Disney World has water bottle refill stations throughout the resort, including the parks, water parks, and Disney Springs. Disney even specifically encourages guests to bring reusable water bottles. Hydro Flask That means a reusable bottle is one of the easiest, smartest things you can pack. A collapsible one is great if you’re tight on bag space. An insulated one is great if your relationship with cold water is borderline emotional. Either way, bring one. Dehydration is not the souvenir anyone asked for. view ON AMAZON Keeping Your Park Essentials Safe and Organized There are two kinds of Disney park people: those who can float into the parks carrying nothing but vibes, and the rest of us. If you’re bringing the essentials, go for a bag that won’t make you regret every life choice by lunchtime. A small backpack, belt bag, or crossbody can be a lifesaver, especially if it keeps your hands free and your stuff organized. Easy to organize! Also, don’t go overboard with bag size. Walt Disney World’s property rules still limit the size of bags, coolers, and backpacks allowed into the parks, and oversized options can slow you down at security. Disney also prohibits loose or dry ice in containers, though reusable ice packs are allowed. Basically: pack smart, not like you’re moving into Cinderella Castle. view ON AMAZON Save On Snacks Yes, you should absolutely eat Disney snacks. This is not an anti-snack platform. We would never betray a churro like that. But packing a few of your own snacks is still a power move. Disney allows guests to bring outside food and nonalcoholic beverages into the parks for self-consumption, as long as they’re not in glass containers. ©Amazon That means granola bars, crackers, gummies, trail mix, applesauce pouches, protein snacks, and other easy grab-and-go options are all fair game. These can be especially helpful for kids, for early mornings, for long waits, or for those moments when your group suddenly becomes dramatically hungry and just a little feral. Reusable snack bags are great here, and bonus points if you pack one or two extras for stashing leftovers. Because abandoning half a giant cookie should be illegal. view ON AMAZON If the Shoe Fits… There is no Disney World meltdown quite like the one triggered by bad shoes. You are going to walk a lot. Then you are going to walk more. Then Disney will somehow whisper, “What if you also crossed the entire park for a snack?” and you will do that too. So bring shoes that are broken in. Not “probably fine.” Not “cute enough to risk it.” Broken. In. Sneakers are great for many people. Supportive sandals can also work well. Quick-dry shoes are especially helpful if rain is in the forecast or you know you’ll be hopping on water rides. Flip-flops can be handy around the hotel pool, but for full park days, make sure whatever you wear can go the distance. We love the cushion! And yes, pack blister supplies. Anti-chafe balm, blister bandages, moleskin, whatever your feet tend to need. Disney First Aid can help in a pinch, but it’s much nicer when your feet never launch a rebellion in the first place. view ON AMAZON Sandals These Teva Sandals are great on a hot or rainy day at Disney World if you don’t want to worry about dealing with wet shoes. They have an easy hook-and-loop closure that comes on and off quickly to help get the fit just right. They are even machine washable! SO many of our team members wear these on the daily in Disney World. Their comfortable, reliable, and breathable. The perfect sandals for the parks! view ON AMAZON Blister Prevention and Care Days at Disney World consist of lots of walking…and then more walking…and MORE walking. With all of the walking, those annoying blisters start to pop up. We’ve tried many methods to help, but we’ve found that the best way to go about them is using a select few of Band-Aids on Amazon. You should bring at least one of these with you on your Disney vacation! ©Amazon These Hydro Seal Band-Aids are perfect hydrocolloid gel bandages that establish a moist, optimal comfort for healing! They’re said to help accelerate healing and reduce scabbing. When you see visible swelling to a white bubble, that confirms active absorption, so you know that the bandage is working. view ON AMAZON Once a blister appears, it’s important to keep it protected and padded. A mini medicine pouch with pain reliever, allergy meds, and stomach remedies? Tiny but mighty. A change of socks? Weirdly powerful. Fresh socks in the middle of a long day can feel like being reborn. The Fort Wilderness Resort and Campground has been a staple at Walt Disney World since (nearly) the very beginning. The campground was always planned for the Vacation Kingdom, primarily to serve as a cost-effective alternative to the opening day Contemporary and Polynesian Village Resorts, and was advertised in promotional materials from the start. However, construction delays pushed the campground back slightly, with Fort Wilderness opening about 6 weeks after the rest of Walt Disney World on November 19th, 1971. Fort Wilderness Over the last 50+ years, the resort has become a favorite for guests who want to capture a part of the great outdoors during their Disney World stay. However, as one of our team members learned, the campground is NOT for everyone. A member of our DFB team recently stayed at Fort Wilderness as part of a weeklong family vacation, and while they stressed that they loved their cabin itself, the size of the resort’s sprawling property — today, Fort Wilderness features over 800 campsites and over 400 cabins — led to some issues. The amenities inside the cabin were worth every penny. There’s so much space, a kitchen, and the bathrooms are wonderful! BUT……..they aren’t kidding when they call this place remote. Room inside The Cabins at Disney’s Fort Wilderness Resort So, first off, there’s the transportation issue. Guests staying at Fort Wilderness have access to an internal bus system that transports them around the campground to both a boat dock for watercraft to the Magic Kingdom, or to a bus stop that connects to EPCOT, Hollywood Studios, and Animal Kingdom. Boat at Wilderness Lodge However, at times, the waits for the internal buses can be so long that waiting for one would end up causing our team member and their party to miss the external bus to the parks, and be forced to wait another 20 minutes for the next one. In fact, at times, they found it better to walk the 10 minutes from their cabin to the bus stop instead. Furthermore, when heading home from the parks, they chose to use the Minnie Van service, which drops guests off directly at their cabin. This kept them from having to lug a sleeping toddler on multiple buses just to get back to the cabin. Minnie vans Distance was a factor when it came to enjoying the resort’s amenities, as most of the cabins and campsites are pretty far from the food, pool, and merchandise areas. House-Smoked Beef Brisket Sliders The resort does offer golf cart rentals that make it easier to get around. These electric golf carts are equipped with windshields and headlights for night driving, and are available to Guests 18 years of age and older with a valid driver’s license. Drivers must be 16 years of age or older with a valid driver’s license, and all drivers must have their license on them when operating the cart. However, the price, which costs between $75 to $100 per day, tax included, can be prohibitive, especially for those who are spending most of their time in the parks. Fort Wilderness Disney will allow guests to bring their own golf carts, but “for the safety of everyone at the resort hotel, you must be prepared to present proof of insurance upon check-in and sign an agreement and waiver.” It’s the Hitchhiking Ghosts! While the Fort Wilderness Campground has been a major part of Walt Disney World since its earliest days, the large campground’s sprawling grounds might not be for every guest. I think the biggest thing is that this just wasn’t right for this family. They like to go go go and be at the parks as much as possible, and staying here simply just slowed them down. We’ve been on a WHIRLWIND trip across the globe lately — and when we say whirlwind, we mean it! ©Disney After setting sail on the Disney Adventure’s maiden voyage, we were supposed to head to Disneyland Paris for a preview of the brand-new World of Frozen at the newly renamed Disney Adventure World, but things didn’t exactly work out as planned. The good news, though, is that we’re still getting a preview of World of Frozen — so mark your calendars for March 20th! After disembarking from the brand-new Disney Adventure cruise ship in Singapore, we prepared to board our flight to Paris… except our connecting flight was delayed… and ultimately cancelled. This meant we would miss the original preview of the new World of Frozen and Adventure Way at Disney Adventure World! In just over a week, the newest section of Disneyland Paris, Disney Adventure World (formerly named Walt Disney Studios Park), will officially reopen its numerous new sections, including World of Frozen, new restaurants, a new Tangled ride, and so much more. The new land officially opens on March 29th, but we’ll be getting a preview of it and will be bringing you EVERYTHING you need to know! ©Disney Disney Adventure World will feature five distinct lands with more expansions on the way. The “new” park includes an enhanced entrance that lets guests step on the red carpet, as well as World Premiere Plaza, where Disney and Pixar stories will come to life through shows, attractions, and special character meet-and-greets! ©Disney Frozen Ever After will also be coming to the World of Frozen, in a version that takes inspiration from already established versions in Hong Kong Disneyland, Tokyo DisneySea, and EPCOT in Disney World. The land will even get a roaming Olaf animatronic! Frozen Ever After at EPCOT We’re also very excited for a daytime show that will be staged on Viking longships in Arendelle Bay — in addition to plenty of themed shopping experiences. World of Frozen, a land themed to Walt Disney Animation Studios’ “Frozen” will open alongside the debut of the park’s new name, Disney Adventure World, in 2026. As for dining, Nordic Crowns Tavern will be a new quick-service restaurant open for both lunch and dinner that features decor “that tells the story of the kingdom through galleries of paintings and royal artifacts.” Here, patrons can enjoy a customizable dining experience inspired by Nordic cuisine. ©Disney The Regal View Restaurant & Lounge will be a new table-service restaurant in the land, serving breakfast, lunch, and dinner. This Princess character meal will let guests meet Belle, Merida, Jasmine, Aurora, Mulan, and Ariel! ©Disney We also learned that there will be 14 brand-new food and beverage locations along Adventure Way. La Terrasse Panoramique will serve hearty bread bowls, New York rolls, and comforting hot beverages. Café Luminosity will feature an original hot dog with four signature recipes, paired with sweet treats like cinnamon rolls. Regal View Restaurant Adventure World The park’s promenade will feature themed gardens and a variety of live entertainment. There will be a Tangled Garden and a Toy Story Garden, along with seasonal entertainment like Rapunzel and Flynn’s Musical Encounter in spring to Mary Poppins and the Pearly Band in summer, Miguel’s Latin Festival in fall, and a variety of character greetings starting next November. If you’re heading to the airport soon, you’re going to want to get there earlier than usual due to massive delays hitting airports across the country. The airport closest to Disney World, the Orlando International Airport, has had a total of 348 delays and 160 flight cancellations — yikes! MCO TSA Precheck According to CNN, hundreds of Transportation Security Administration (TSA) workers who are going without full pay have quit, while others have taken unscheduled time off, causing massive delays at airport security. According to the Department of Homeland Security, more than 300 TSA agents quit on Friday, March 13th. This is the first weekend that TSA workers have missed their first full paycheck since the partial shutdown began in mid-February after Homeland Security funding, which oversees TSA, was lapsed. TSA lines at MCO On Sunday, March 15th, CEOs of major airlines, including American, Delta, Southwest, and JetBlue, have written a letter to Congress urging them to restore funding and find a bipartisan solution to ensure federal aviation workers are paid during shutdowns. MCO Airport The letter said, “It’s difficult, if not impossible, to put food on the table, put gas in the car, and pay rent when you are not getting paid.” Hundreds of TSA employees have quit this time around, and Everett Kelley, the national president of the American Federation of Government Employees, a union that represents more than 46,000 uniformed TSA workers, said it is “no surprise.” “Most Americans would quit their jobs if they didn’t get a paycheck on payday,” Kelley said. MCO Airport Security If you have an upcoming trip, you might want to consider rescheduling if possible, but if you are still planning on going to the airport, make sure you are prepared to wait and come early to account for the longer lines. While programs like Clear and TSA PreCheck can help limit some of the wait, keep in mind that these lines are also likely backed up. The spot, dubbed “Midnight Magic,” follows a father and son as they share a quiet ritual aboard a Disney ship, tracing their relationship across the years, from childhood to adulthood and into grandparenthood. Fair warning: keep a tissue handy because it’s a tear-jerker (in all the best ways). “Disney has brought families closer together for generations,” said Asad Ayaz, Chief Marketing and Brand Officer, The Walt Disney Company. “This campaign embodies what guests tell us time and again: that the Disney experiences they cherish most are the ones spent with the people they love. We’re grateful to make that kind of Disney magic a reality.” The creative team behind this short film drew inspiration from how Disney creates moments of real connection, sometimes in moments of grandeur and sometimes in the quiet moments they share as a family. When you’re deciding what shoes to bring to Disney World, you may have done research to hear what other people have said about the shoes they brought. On Cloudswift Sneakers For months now, we’ve heard people raving about both HOKA and On Cloud sneakers, and seen them tons in the parks. There are lots of other brands out there, but these are the shoes that consistently get top reviews. If you’re deciding between the two, though, you’re likely looking to only purchase ONE pair, instead of spending money to buy one of each, since they’re both EXPENSIVE. We’ve tried both of them out in the parks extensively, and can now confidently say that ONE of these shoes is clearly more comfortable than the other. DISCLOSURE: This post may contain affiliate links, meaning when you click the links and make a purchase, we receive a commission. Now, it’s important to note here that this is largely based on personal preference, and everyone’s feet are different! For one person, there may be a brand of shoe that’s super uncomfortable, while it’s the only choice for someone else. We had one reporter try out BOTH of these shoes, and now we’re sharing our findings. On Clouds On Cloudswift Sneakers We see people wearing On Cloud sneakers in the parks ALL the time, so we figured it was time to try them out ourselves. We grabbed the Women’s On Cloudswift Sneakers, which currently run about $189 on Amazon. The truth is, these are fine, but they’re nothing to write home about. They felt like any other tennis shoes to us, and that’s not great for how expensive they are. On Cloudswift Sneakers These are supportive, don’t get us wrong, but the cushion and bounce just wasn’t really there, and when you’re walking on ground as hard as Disney World, especially for how LONG you’re walking around, you need something that’s really going to support you. Now, we see TONS of people walking around these in Disney World all day, so we think it’s absolutely worth a try to test these out in a store, and see how they feel for you — they may be a perfect fit! Check them out here! HOKAs HOKA Clifton 10 And now we have HOKA shoes, specifically the HOKA Clifton 10s. These currently cost about $156 on Amazon, and these are the shoes you’ve likely heard people talking about over and over and over again. Are they really worth all the hype, though? In our opinion, YES, majorly so! The cushion and bounce here are unmatched, and it really made us feel supported. In fact, our reporter happened to be 20 weeks pregnant when she tried these shoes, and her feet didn’t hurt any more than on a normal trip (when NOT pregnant, that’s a big deal), and she feels that’s all due to the HOKAs. We love our Hokas In fact, our reporter went as far as saying that when she tried the On Cloudswift sneakers, she just couldn’t wait to put the HOKAs back on. We didn’t have any blisters with these, which is a huge win, especially after days and days of walking multiple miles each day. 2026 is rolling along, and I can’t believe we’re already almost in April. For us Disney World fans, that’s pretty awesome because there’s a LOT coming to Disney World in April and beyond. ©Disney An attraction that we’ve been desperate to reopen is finally getting its time to shine; a rare event is coming back to Animal Kingdom, and more is coming in April 2026. April 5th — Last Day for Early Bloom at the EPCOT Flower and Garden Festival Farmers Feast At the Farmers Feast booth in CommuniCore Hall, the menu changes three times throughout the festival. The current one, Early Bloom, runs till April 5th before it changes over to the Springtime Menu from April 6th to May 10th. The new menu will offer Heirloom Tomatoes and Fresh Mozzarella along with Grilled Beef Strip Loin and Peach Cobbler, which we loved last year. April 8th — Buzz Lightyear’s Space Ranger Spin reopens ©Disney FINALLY! We’ve been waiting and waiting for this refurbishment to be over so we can get Galactic Hero again, and our dreams will finally come true on April 8th. Buzz Lightyear’s Space Ranger Spin will reopen with new blasters, which are handheld and shoot different colored lasers, along with a new show scene and interactive targets. April 16th to 20th — runDisney Springtime Surprise Weekend ©runDisney While all three races are already full for the weekend, you should keep in mind that the Springtime Surprise Weekend can cause massive crowds in the parks, along with road closures. This year’s themes include Zootopia, Inside Out, Winnie the Pooh, and Aladdin. April 22nd — Earth Day Princess Atta Usually, Animal Kingdom throws a big celebration for Earth Day! We’ve seen rare characters come out to say hi. We’ve seen characters like Koda and Kenai from Brother Bear, Max and Goofy, and even Princess Atta from A Bug’s Life. We’ve also seen Tinkerbell and Fawn along with Jane and Terk out sometimes, too, so if you love meeting characters, you might want ot head to Animal Kingdom on the 22nd (and secure your park reservation now!). April 24th — Fantasmic time changes Fantasmic! As the sun sets later, Disney pushes back some showtimes, and starting on April 24th, Fantasmic at Hollywood Studios moves from 8:30 PM to 9 PM. This show can get busy, so we recommend lining up early. But one reason we love to see Fantasmic over other nighttime spectaculars is that you get loaded into an amphitheater, get seats, and don’t have to stake out your spot for hours ahead of time. Disneyland Resort has tons of construction going on inside the parks right now, but outside the gates, there’s a lot happening as well. One of those happenings? The Anaheim Transportation Network’s ART buses are shutting down. Disneyland Resort This really affects people staying at the Good Neighbor Hotels around the area (hotels that aren’t directly owned by Disney, but are affiliated with them), as it affects the shuttles many of them use to get to the parks. This current service is set to shut down on March 31st, and at the time, there was no replacement in sight. However, that’s all changed now! Many of the Disneyland Good Neighbor Hotels already have individual shuttle services to the parks, but not all of them. Many guests were concerned about the ATN going away, concerned that they’d have to get rideshares or walk (even late at night) instead of taking a shuttle. Thankfully, the City of Garden Grove, located just south of Disneyland Resort, has stepped in and will now be offering a shuttle to go from TEN different Disneyland-area hotels to the parks. ©D23 There will be a small fee for the shuttle, so it won’t be completely complimentary, but it will likely be cheaper than a rideshare. The ten hotels included will be: Sheraton Garden Grove Hyatt Regency Orange County Embassy Suites by Hilton Anaheim South Delta Hotels by Marriott Anaheim Garden Grove Anaheim Marriott Suites Hilton Garden Inn Anaheim/Garden Grove Homewood Suites by Hilton Anaheim-Main Gate Area Residence Inn Anaheim Resort Area/Garden Grove Great Wolf Lodge Southern California (this hotel is currently not listed as a Good Neighbor Hotel) Hampton Inn & Suites Anaheim/Garden Grove Disneyland security There will be three different routes between these hotels and the parks, and more details are expected to be announced soon, as this will start up before the end of the month. In a statement, Mayor of Garden Grove, Stephanie Klopfenstein, said, “Garden Grove is proud to welcome visitors from across the region and around the world. The Disney Adult Varsity Jacket is $79.99 at Costco, and it’s seriously perfect for your upcoming Disney trip or if you’re just a fan of the main mouse. How familiar are you with this sneaky Lightning Lane hack? Kilimanjaro Safaris Lightning Lane If you plan on using Lightning Lane Multi Pass, Lightning Lane Single Pass, or Lightning Lane Premier Pass before your next Disney trip, it’s CRUCIAL that you know the ins and outs of each skip-the-line service before dropping a dime on your selected choice. Since the new Lightning Lane system debuted, we’ve been testing it out nonstop in order to discover the best tricks and info to help YOU master it during your Disney days. While there are now plenty of tried and true tips, there’s one specifically relating to Lightning Lane Multi Pass that Disney Adults use — and it can be confusing until you really sit down and consider what’s actually going on. Lightning Lane Multi Pass is an excellent way to get onto some pretty high-demand rides. Lightning Lanes bypass the standby line in favor of a modern-day FastPass, and Lightning Lane Multi Pass gets you access to most rides (the biggest ride at each park is usually slotted into the Single Pass eligibility). Nowadays, you get to book your Lightning Lane Multi Pass selections in advance, and you can select up to three. Most people will focus on the rides that have the longest waits, but this can sometimes be a mistake. Slinky Dog Dash Lightning Lane Instead, Disney Adults and Disney experts suggest using ONLY TWO advanced Lightning Lane reservations for those big-ticket attractions. The third can actually be used strategically elsewhere. Haunted Mansion Lightning Lane Picking an attraction that typically has walk-on wait times as your third Lightning Lane selection can actually give you a leg up later in the day! Mad Tea Party One of the rules of Lightning Lane reservations states that once you use a reservation, you can continue to book new ones, one at a time! So once you use a Lightning Lane reservation on something like Mad Tea Party early in the day, you can immediately start to book some more serious rides. Lightning Lane at Remy’s Ratatouille Adventure in EPCOT The reality of a Disney day is that you’ll try to get on more than three rides. In this case, being able to book more and more E-ticket attractions as early as possible is a game-changer. The most popular attractions can run out of Lightning Lane availability by 11 AM, especially during peak seasons. By going with this suggested Lightning Lane method, you can use your less-in-demand reservation almost immediately, early in the morning, giving yourself ample time to keep stacking popular attractions or to just knock out as many rides as possible. Even with Lightning Lanes, the popular rides can still have a bit of a wait, so making reservations where you solely prioritize them days in advance might not bode well for your park experience in the afternoon and evening. Lightning Lane at “it’s a small world” The Disney Parks are a game of time. Wait times for rides like The Barnstormer or “it’s a small world” may not seem like much — and they’re not. But if you’re using Lightning Lanes on these kinds of attractions, you might be able to simply walk on. If the standby lines were each 15 minutes and you skipped each one, congrats — you just saved yourself an EXTRA HOUR to spend as you like. Doing this earlier in the day — especially — gives you the freedom to try to tackle one of those Single Pass rides with a long wait later in the day. And — as an added bonus — you won’t feel like you’ve wasted your entire day in queues. Trust us — this method has saved our sanity on more than one occasion. From quick bites between activities to elaborate rotational dining restaurants. Tonight, we’re trying Animator’s Palate Restaurant, so come along with us! Atmosphere This restaurant is a unique dinner show celebrating Disney and Pixar animation. Your drawings will come to life right before your eyes! This is part of the ship’s rotational dining. Let’s go inside! Entrance When you first enter the restaurant and sit at your table, the color palette is a simple black and white. Simple black and white palate You’ll see simple sketch artwork on the walls, also done up in mostly black and white colors. Surrounded by Art As your meal progresses, though, color starts to fill the room…and the walls. By the end of your meal, everything comes to life in full vibrant color, music, dancing portraits, and more. The room comes to colorful life The place setting at each table encourages you to create your own artwork and draw a character. Draw your own character At the end of the evening, the characters you drew come to life on the walls and dance for you and everything! It’s what we drew! But enough about the restaurant — what’s on the menu here?! Menu The menu features a variety of Asian-inspired small plates, like a Dragon Roll, Wonton Soup, and Chicken Satay. Small Plates menu Entrees include Butter Chicken, a Pan-Seared Branzino Fillet, a Beef Tenderloin dish, and more. Several desserts are also available. Entrees and desserts And now, onto the main event — the food! Eats You start your meal with a Bread Service. The breads include a Spring Onion Cheese bread, Soft White Bread, and Whole Wheat Rolls. Bread service For our starter, we grabbed the Chicken Satay with Coconut Rice, Cucumber, Kepap Manis, and Roasted Peanut Dipping Sauce. The chicken is well-cooked, but still juicy. It also has a lovely char on the outside, but it isn’t crunchy. The peanut sauce was just okay, though. It was runny and a little too sweet for our liking. The rice was perfect. The cucumber was SPICY — that surprised us…in a good way. It was vinegary and packed a little bit of a punch. Chicken Satay The Dragon Roll is a Spicy Tuna Roll with Freshwater Eel, Avocado, and Unagi Sauce. This was a solid, well-prepared sushi roll with an interesting fish. However, it had that straight out of the fridge thing going on that we might expect from grocery store sushi, and not fine dining sushi. However, we guess we can say it would make great grocery store sushi? Dragon Roll For entree, we ordered the Laksa Lemak made with Prawn, Tau Pok, Laska Leaf, and Chili. Now, this dish was unfamiliar to us, so we were really excited to try something new. Laksa Lemak is a popular Malaysian noodle soup, and this one had a wonderful broth that was spicy, but didn’t have a heavy fish seafood taste, although there were prawns in the soup. The prawns were meaty and cooked beautifully, too. We also loved how the Tau Pok soaked up the flavor while still remaining springy. Laksa Lemak The Pan-Seared Pacific Scallops are served with Truffle Cremini Mushroom Risotto, Toasted Hazelnuts, and Arugula-Lemon Oil Drizzle. This was one of our favorite entrees that we had with the rotational dining. The scallops were well-cooked, so they weren’t overtly chewy, although they did have a bit of grainy texture that some people might not like. The risotto was another big surprise for us. It was perfectly cooked, not too sticky, and the truffle flavor was beautifully done and didn’t overpower the dish. You also get a LOT of mushrooms. The arugula-lemon oil also adds a subtle touch of flavor. Pan-seared Pacific scallops Of course, you’ve got to make room for dessert, which we did. The Salted Caramel Cheese Cake sounded AMAZING, so we grabbed that. It’s a Vanilla Cheesecake with Dulce de Leche Glaze and Peanut Butter Rice Crisp. We’ll just tell you it tasted as good as it sounds. This might have been our favorite dessert while on our cruise. The cheesecake is soft and creamy, while the dulce de leche glaze adds flavor and additional texture. It wasn’t too sweet, but it had that classic caramel flavor. The peanut butter rice crisp base is a stroke of genius because you get that nice, light crunch with it. SO good We also ordered the Almond Pear Tart with Poached Pear, Almond Frangipane, Matcha Soil, and Vanilla Ice Cream. This was another big hit with us. You had these gorgeous poached pears over an almond frangipane that offered a fruity and nutty flavor. The matcha soil tasted more like green tea leaf than powdered matcha, and it paired nicely with the other flavors. Almond Pear Tart However, we’ve said it before. Disney tends to go way too thick with the pastry shells, and they tend to be dry. That was the case for this dessert, too, so we just mostly ate the filling. Overall Of all the rotational dining restaurants we visited on our cruise, this one might just be our favorite. The restaurant’s theme is always a fun one to dine in, but the food here really surprised us in so many great ways. This was probably one of our favorite meals on the Disney Adventure, and all three courses were delicious and satisfying. This is the kind of restaurant you go to when you want to make a core memory. Even when you’re on vacation, relaxing, a lot of us still need coffee to get through the day. Alley Cat Café We loved exploring the Disney Adventure and all the multiple dining options available on board, and that includes all the different coffee stops on board. EPCOT’s International Flower and Garden Festival has officially kicked off, and if you’re going to the festival, there are a few rules to follow to help you avoid wasting money! Yacht Grub Full Spread This year’s festival runs until June 1st, and our DFB team was there on opening day to hit every Outdoor Kitchen, see all of the merchandise, and take in every part of this festival. We’ve learned a few lessons so far about this year’s festival, and trust us, you can spend a lot of money here! To make sure you don’t waste any of your money, here are 7 rules you need to follow on your upcoming trip to EPCOT. Not Using Our Map and Ebook The DFB team has created some great resources for you to use for planning out your EPCOT festival day this spring. Above, you can get our downloadable Flower and Garden Festival map and checklist so you can easily see where each booth is before you get all turned around in the park looking for Beach Grub. We also have our DFB Guide to this year’s festival, updated with everything you need to know. Using these two resources can help save you time, which is money when we’re talking Disney World! Do Your Research There are a LOT of Outdoor Kitchens (aka Food Booths) at this festival, and each booth offers a lot of items, so it can start to feel overwhelming. We recommend doing some research before you go to see what’s worth your money! We were there on opening day and tried a ton of dishes to review to let you know our thoughts on who would like it and who should skip it. What sounds good on paper might have been a miss for our reporters. This can help you decide between dishes. ALL of the DFB Outdoor Kitchen Food Booth 2026 REVIEWS Fleur de Lys Full Spread Be Realistic Let’s be real, I think we might have all had a time at EPCOT where our eyes were bigger than our stomachs, and suddenly we’ve ordered one of everything on the menu. Realistically, between the heat of Florida, the thrill rides, and the heavy dishes, you might not be able to eat as much as you thought. Try to be conservative when ordering. If you’re still hungry, you can hit the booth back up for round 2! BRUNCHCOT Full Spread Sharing is Caring Speaking of not wasting food and money, a great idea is to share dishes if you’re going with others. While a few portions are on the smaller side, many dishes can easily be shared. Sharing will save you money, and it will give you more of an appetite to try more dishes. Captain’s Board Use a Disney Giftcard One way to avoid overspending is to use a Disney Giftcard with a set limit. Once the money is gone, that is an easy way to know it’s time to move on to rides or admire the topiaries. There is even a special Flower and Garden festival gift card you can add money to, and it comes on a handy bracelet, making it easy to keep up with. Flower and Garden Gift Card! Use Your DDP Snack Credits Wisely If you have the Disney Dining Plan, you can actually use your snack credits at food booths for the festival! This is a great use of your snack credits, as many of these items can run $7-$9. However, not all snacks are equal in value. You aren’t going to want to waste that snack credit on a $5 that is pretty small in portion; instead, opt for a snack that is greater than $7, and bonus points if you can share it! We’ve made a handy list of the best ways to use those credits this year! CONFIRMED: These 10 EPCOT Festival Snacks Are the BEST Ways to Spend Your Dining Plan Credits Canard Confit Bring Your Own Water With the heat and all of those snacks, you’re going to get thirsty quick! Be sure to bring a refillable water bottle to keep yourself not only hydrated, but also to keep yourself from buying $4 bottled water at every few booths. There are several water refill stations around EPCOT, and you can grab free ice water from any quick-service restaurant. Easter has arrived at Disney World, and there are so many new sweet treats to celebrate! Painted Egg Whoopie Pie We stopped by Disney’s Yacht Club resort to try their new Easter egg whoopie pie. It’s Easter in a dessert! The Painted Egg Whoopie Pie is $5.79 at The Market at Ale & Compass. It’s two cinnamon sponge cakes sandwiched between a maple buttercream filling, then topped with pastel chocolate and springtime sprinkles. Painted Egg Whoopie Pie This whoopie pie had a very strong cinnamon flavor from the sponge cake. We couldn’t taste much of the maple in the buttercream; it seemed more like vanilla to us. The sprinkles added a nice crunch that we really enjoyed! We weren’t a fan of this being sold at room temperature since the chocolate topping melted onto our fingers. Either bring a fork or refrigerate it for a cleaner experience! Painted Egg Whoopie Pie We’d recommend this Whoopie Pie for anyone looking for a nontraditional Easter treat. The cinnamon-forward taste reminded us of something we’d eat in the fall, which is nice if you’re looking for something that’s still Easter, but isn’t a traditional spring flavor. This was not what we were expecting – but that’s why we enjoyed it! It was a unique and refreshing change from the Easter treats we’ve tried. The ODOCARE Mouse Ears have two solid black, plush Minnie ears featuring a popping red bow with white polka dots in the center. For an interesting surprise, the black fabric was fuzzy! It almost felt like a pet’s fur; they were so plush. It added a fun texture without being too fancy – these ears don’t need too many bells and whistles for a classic look. So fuzzy! These ears are so much lighter (and cheaper!) than the ears you’ll buy in the Disney parks! These are so much more comfortable than the park ears. The Disney ears can make our heads hurt after a while, but these ears stayed comfy all day long! On the headband straps, there’s some loose fabric that makes it feel a bit cheaper, which is really the only giveaway that they’re not official Disney ears. Time for a closeup! We’d recommend these ears to anyone who enjoys wearing Minnie Ears and dressing up for the parks. We got a red and white bow, but they make 12 different bow colors to match with any outfit. We just wish they made a kids’ size! If you’re a movie buff and obsessed with all things Hollywood, there’s really only one place in Disney World where you can go to enjoy a meal and see all kinds of film memorabilia. A HUGE burger That restaurant is Planet Hollywood, a dining spot you’ll find in Disney Springs. Here, you can dine among Hollywood royalty (well, more like props, costumes, and things used by Hollywood royalty). Now, we’ve dined here in the past, and let’s just say we never quite fell in love with it, but we’re giving it another go to see if it can redeem itself. So join us! Atmosphere As we mentioned, this restaurant has a theme, and it’s HOLLYWOOD. There’s even a red carpet leading you inside. Let’s go in! Follow that red carpet inside and up the stairs. You’ll eventually reach the end of the carpet and the host area. Waiting for a table There’s a gift shop just to the right of where you’ll wait for your table. Gift Shop While you’re waiting, be sure to keep an eye out for some fun movie-related items. You’ll see display cases with costumes and props from iconic movies, like a dress from 27 Dresses. Dress from ’27 Dresses’ When you make it to the dining area, you’re surrounded by big screens and a massive seating area. This is probably the largest seating area of any restaurant in Disney World. Huge TVs The restaurant actually has three floors, and each has its own theme. You’ll want to explore all three levels to see all the movie memorabilia. You’ll find both tables and chairs, as well as booths, in the seating areas on each floor. LOTS of seating But enough about the restaurant — what’s on the menu here?! Menu The food here is described as American casual, which means standard appetizers like Nachos, Garlic Bread, and the World Famous Chicken Crunch. A variety of salads is also available. ©Disney Entrees include Guy Fieri! Big Bite Burgers… ©Disney …Guy Fieri! Signature Sandwiches ©Disney You can also get Pastas and Grill Specialties. ©Disney You can order additional sides and dessert, too. ©Disney To drink, you can order Non-Alcoholic beverages… ©Disney …as well as some Signature Cocktails. ©Disney Beer and wine are also available. Drinks To drink, we picked up the Black Pearl Mai Tai for $12.99. It’s made with Cruzan white rum, lime & orange juices, Reàl passion fruit syrup & grenadine with a Myers’s dark rum float (which means it’s Captain Jack Sparrow-approved). This is sweeter than a regular mai tai, and it’s not really a classic mai tai because the base is mostly juice. Black Pearl Mai Tai However, this drink does have those tropical flavors that make you feel like you’re on vacation. If you love a traditional Mai Tai, though, you may not appreciate it as much. Eats First up, we grabbed the High Roller Sampler, which is a great way to enjoy four of the appetizers available on the menu. For $42.99, you get the World Famous Chicken Crunch, Texas Tostados, Buffalo Wings, Guacamole with Roasted Corn & Fried Jumbo Shrimp. This baby is HUGE, but it is meant to serve four people. High Roller Sampler The Fried Shrimp didn’t really impress us. The breading was loose and just couldn’t cling to the shrimp very well. The shrimp also tasted like it had a bit too much seasoning. The sauce is a classic sriracha sauce, and it was tasty, but this was our least favorite thing on the sampler. Fried Shrimp Okay, moving on…the Guacamole was OUTSTANDING enough to make us forgive the shrimp. It has all these beautiful layers of ingredients and flavors, including guacamole, roasted corn, serrano peppers, and cotija cheese. They’re served with corn tortilla chips, but we were pretty much dipping almost everything in the sampler in it. Guacamole The World Famous Chicken Crunch is chicken tenders with honey mustard sauce. The breading is just perfect, making them delightfully crispy, with the chicken inside being juicy and tender. If you love a good chicken tender, this is for you. They’re served with a Creole mustard sauce, but they’re honestly good on their own. World Famous Chicken Crunch The Buffalo Wings are classic wings with medium buffalo sauce. They are well-fried and served with your choice of blue cheese or ranch. Nothing special, but if you love that classic Buffalo Chicken Wing thing, you’ll love these. Buffalo Wings The Texas Tostadas are so fun because they have crispy Gyoza skins, which makes for a nice twist. They’re topped with BBQ chicken, sautéed onions, a blend of cheddar & Monterey Jack cheeses & drizzled with sour cream & BBQ sauce and served with pico de gallo. The barbecue sauce is delicious, and they were packed with flavor. This is the one item on the sampler that really surprised us. We also loved them dipped in the guacamole. Texas Tostadas For our entree, we ordered the Bacon Mac-n-Cheese Burger for $22.99. This is a Guy Fieri! smash-grilled burger with Applewood smoked bacon, six cheese mac-n-cheese, cheddar, LTOP, crispy onion straws, and donkey sauce on a brioche bun. It’s called a Big Bite, and it ain’t kidding! This burger is HUGE. It’s PACKED with mac and cheese, so you’ve got that nice creamy cheesiness, which, OBVIOUSLY, pairs well with the salty bacon. Bacon Mac-n-Cheese Burger There’s even more melted cheddar ON TOP of the mac and cheese, because, well, you can NEVER have too much cheese. You can still taste the burger, though, under all those toppings, and there’s a nice crispiness that comes from the onion straws. This is a solidly good burger. ALL that cheese After all that food, we threw caution to the wind and also ordered dessert because YOLO! So we got the most decadent-sounding sweet treat on the menu, the White Chocolate Bread Pudding for $12.95. It’s a white chocolate bread pudding served with vanilla ice cream and a sweet whiskey sauce. YES!!! Seriously, this was the BEST way to end the meal with all those layers of soaked bread pudding that are alternatively firm and soft. We will say the white chocolate doesn’t really come through that much, but the flavors are still delish. White Chocolate Bread Pudding The fresh whipped cream is also a nice touch because when it melts, it basically becomes something like a crème anglaise, especially when mixed with the ice cream, which is what many bread puddings are usually topped with. We will warn you that this dessert is HUGE, so it’s absolutely shareable. Nosh or Not This Disney World restaurant is a must-visit if… You want a classic burger and fries meal. Now, there are plenty of other items on the menu at Planet Hollywood, but the Guy Fieri! Burgers are worth the hype, and probably what you’d want to order here. You love music. If you want to visit a restaurant with great music, music videos are constantly playing on the massive TV screens, so it could be just the thing to lift your spirits. It’s also a great environment for occasions like birthdays. You have picky eaters in your group. Not only can you get solid burgers and fries here, but the menu has a lot of classic American staples that pretty much anyone in your group will love, including kids. You should skip this Disney World spot if… You’ve been to a Planet Hollywood before. Okay, so here’s the thing. If you’ve already visited a Planet Hollywood in another city, there’s nothing really different or unique about the Orlando location. You want a high-quality table service meal. Although we enjoyed our meal here, you can get a higher-quality meal at other restaurants in Disney Springs. Yes, Planet Hollywood is great for picky eaters, but if you want a more memorable meal, you won’t find it here. You’re on a tight budget. Although the menu here is fairly casual, the prices are not. Burgers will run you $20 and more, which might seem low by Disney standards, but you can get the same kind of food throughout Disney for less. If it’s a burger you want, head on over to D-Luxe Burger instead to save some $$$. Overall We’ll admit that we generally have low expectations when we visit restaurants like Planet Hollywood, but this visit exceeded those expectations in almost every way. The burgers are solid, the menu has a lot of variety, and enough choices for picky eaters, and the desserts are satisfying enough for anyone with a sweet tooth.
