The material allowed the rain to slip right off, and between that and the lack of sleeves, we didn’t feel steamed or hot underneath. On top of that, the poncho was large enough that our backpack was able to fit underneath it comfortably, while still keeping the bag and our backs completely covered from the rain. If all that wasn’t enough, the poncho even comes with a waterproof storage bag, meaning we were able to quickly pack it up and throw it in our backpack as soon as the storm ended without worrying about anything in there getting wet. Located in World Nature near The Land, the booth offers an $8.79 Tuna Poke Bowl. 2026 Nectar Menu The bowl is packed with edamame, avocado, mango, pickled red onions, seaweed salad, furikake, and umami sauce on a bed of sticky rice. From our first bite, we couldn’t get over it. The sushi rice was nice and sticky, the tuna was high-quality, the pickled veggies had a tangy crunch, the seaweed salad added brininess, and the mango brightened up everything with a dollop of fruity flavor. As we said in our original review, we think it might be our new favorite lunch at EPCOT, thanks to all these flavors and its generous portion size. A closer look at the Tuna poke bowl For $6.29, you can get a Poke Bowl with all of the same ingredients, minus the tuna, in the same portion size. Poke Bowl You can wash down your bowl with a Frozen Island Escape. This $4.79 non-alcoholic drink is made with Minute Maid Peach and Mango Smoothie, with an Outshine Frozen Mini Fruit Pop serving as the garnish! Frozen Island Escape While there are a litany of delicious new options at the 2026 Flower & Garden Festival, the Poke Bowls at Nectar might just be our FAVORITE, and a major draw at this year’s fest. It’s almost that time of the year where everyone sports their favorite green shirt and clothes and celebrates St. Patrick’s Day…and well, you can find a lot of ways to celebrate in Disney World. Luck of the Irish Donut Disney Springs is especially a great place to celebrate the holiday, especially with Raglan Road throwing its annual Mighty Festival, but there’s another place you’ll want to stop by if you’ll be visiting Disney World on or right before March 17th. That’s Everglazed Donuts & Cold Brew, who have a special donut available for the big day. Meet the Luck of the Irish Donut. It’s a donut with vanilla icing, dipped in green shamrock candies and topped with Lucky Charms, Sour Patch crumbles, a gummy rainbow, vanilla buttercream, and a chocolate gold coin…you know, in case you have even more luck. Seriously, after you eat this donut, you might want to play the lottery because you’ll be feeling VERY lucky. Granted, this is Everglazed’s standard donut underneath everything, but that donut is dense, fluffy, and fresh. We feel luckier just holding it! We loved the sprinkles…they weren’t just cute, but they also added a nice, sweet crunch. Our favorite part, though, was the Lucky Charms on top. They added a nice, snappy texture and flavor to everything. The vanilla buttercream was creamy and sweet, but not too much so. The rainbow was basically an Airhead rainbow strip, but we loved it. The chocolate coin was also a nice addition, especially if you love chocolate. All those toppings Should you run to Everglazed to grab this donut? Well, if you’re in Disney Springs, why not? We’re sure kids are going to love it, too, what with the Lucky Charms and all, but we also thought the donut was “magically delicious.” We’ll be covering even more special snacks in Disney World, so stay tuned to DFB for more. There are Disney World hotel rooms people rave about, like they personally descended from the heavens on a cloud of pixie dust and refillable mug coffee. Port Orleans — Riverside Room And look, some of them are lovely. But “lovely” and “worth that price” are not always the same thing. Sometimes you’re paying extra for a view you’ll barely enjoy, a location that sounds better on paper than it feels at midnight after a 14-mile park day, or a room category that has somehow achieved icon status despite being wildly inconvenient in real life. Disney has a lot of genuinely great hotels, but not every fan-favorite room is the slam dunk people make it out to be. Caribbean Beach So let’s talk about the overhyped hotel rooms, room types, and resort stays that might not deserve the pedestal. And because we’re not here just to stir the pot and flee, we’re also giving you smarter alternatives for each one. 1. Savanna View Rooms at Disney’s Animal Kingdom Lodge Yes, the savanna is gorgeous. Yes, seeing giraffes and zebras outside your room is objectively cool. Yes, Disney leans hard into that selling point, with Animal Kingdom Lodge built around four lush savannas with more than 200 hoofed animals and birds roaming outside. Savanna View rooms are a major premium category, there for a reason. ©Disney But here’s the tiny chaotic detail nobody wants to say out loud: you are probably not in your room enough to justify what you’re paying for that balcony moment. You’re up early for rope drop, breakfast, buses, snacks, the emotional roller coaster of mobile ordering, and then by the time you get back to the hotel, you are one pair of blistered feet away from becoming part of the bedding. That expensive savanna view often turns into, “Cool, a giraffe. I have 11 seconds to appreciate it before I collapse face-first into a Disney pillow.” Savanna View Room at Animal Kingdom Lodge This room works best for people planning genuine resort time. If you’re doing a slower trip, a rest-heavy deluxe stay, or an anniversary where the hotel itself is part of the vacation, fine. But if you’re a park commando with a dining reservation addiction, this is probably a splurge you’ll barely use. Don’t hang things on your balcony Try instead: A standard room at Animal Kingdom Lodge, then spend time in the resort’s public viewing areas and book a meal at Sanaa, which also offers savanna views. 2. Family Suites at Disney’s Art of Animation Resort Art of Animation’s Family Suites are popular because they sleep up to six, come with more room to spread out, and give bigger groups a layout that is definitely more functional than stuffing everyone into a standard hotel room like caffeinated sardines. Disney specifically markets them as spacious suites for larger parties. Finding Nemo Room But this is where the math starts giving side-eye. If you need all that space, great. But if you’re booking one of these for a smaller group “just because it would be nice,” the price jump can get awfully bold awfully fast. At that point, you’re paying a premium for themed square footage at a Value resort. A very fun Value resort, yes. Still a Value. Art of Animation That’s the thing. These suites are best when you are truly maximizing them with a bigger family or group. If not, the price can creep into territory where you start wondering whether you should’ve just booked two standard rooms somewhere else and let everybody have breathing room and a second TV war zone. Try instead: A family suite at All Star Music, or even a standard room at Art of Animation if the suites feel like overkill. 3. Pretty Much the Whole Riviera Resort I said what I said. Disney’s Riviera Resort is beautiful. It’s polished. It’s calm. It has good dining, fancy vibes, and Skyliner access to EPCOT and Hollywood Studios. Disney absolutely positions it as a stylish deluxe villa resort with upscale accommodations and convenient transportation. Living space But the nightly rates can feel like they were set by someone who looked at a nice tile floor and lost all restraint. Riviera is one of those resorts where the appeal makes perfect sense until the price enters the chat. Then suddenly you’re asking harder questions. Like: “Do I love this resort, or do I love the Skyliner?” Because those are not the same thing. And if the answer is “mostly the Skyliner,” there are cheaper ways to get that benefit. That doesn’t make Riviera bad. Not even close. It just makes it a resort that often costs more than the average guest really needs to spend to get a lot of the same practical perks. Try instead: Pop Century or Caribbean Beach if Skyliner access is your priority. If you want deluxe energy, look at BoardWalk or Beach Club when the price difference isn’t massive, especially if walkability to EPCOT matters more than elegant wallpaper. 4. Second- and Third-Floor Rooms at Caribbean Beach Resort Caribbean Beach gets points for atmosphere, Skyliner access, and that “I am on vacation and possibly in a sunscreen commercial” energy. The resort has six villages and Skyliner transportation, both of which are part of the appeal. But here’s the catch that can turn your magical return home into a full stair-climbing tragedy: many buildings are walk-up style. So if you’re on an upper floor, there’s a solid chance you’re hauling yourself, your backpack, your refillable mug, your sleeping child, and your increasingly hostile legs up stairs at the end of the day. Disney’s Caribbean Beach Resort This is not just a problem for guests with mobility concerns. It’s annoying for literally anyone who has spent all day speed-walking from Fantasyland to France. Upper-floor rooms here can feel like a trap disguised as a room request. Caribbean Beach Resort Try instead: Request a first-floor room at Caribbean Beach, or look at Pop Century if you want Skyliner convenience without the sprawling-island-marathon energy. 5. Saratoga Springs and Old Key West Rooms These resorts have fans. Passionate fans. Loyal fans. The kind of fans who will appear in your comments with color-coded justifications and a map. And to be fair, both resorts offer spacious villas, pools, dining, and easy access to Disney Springs. Disney highlights Old Key West’s sprawling grounds and multiple pools, while Saratoga Springs is positioned as a full resort-and-spa experience. Disney Springs transportation is also a real perk. Saratoga Springs For a lot of regular vacationers, though, these resorts can feel overwhelmingly spread out, with more space than convenience. The internal bus loop situation can feel like a side quest nobody asked for. You can be technically “at your resort” and still feel 14 business days away from your room. If you are the type of guest who values convenience, compact layouts, and not accidentally touring your own hotel before breakfast, these can be a hard sell. Disney’s Old Key West Resort Try instead: French Quarter for a smaller footprint, or BoardWalk/Beach Club if you want a deluxe stay where location does more of the heavy lifting. 6. Moderate Resort Rooms in General This is the category that starts fights at family group dinners. Disney’s Moderate resorts sit between Value and Deluxe, which sounds sensible enough. They generally offer more immersive grounds, nicer theming, and a few upgraded amenities over the Value tier. Port Orleans French Quarter But if your priority is mostly a place to sleep, shower, and recover before your next theme park sprint, the jump from Value to Moderate can feel a little… aspirational. Like you’re paying a hefty premium for vibes, a slightly calmer pool situation, and the privilege of saying, “Well, it’s not a Value.” Sometimes the upgrade is worth it. But sometimes it’s just a prettier path back to your room. Coronado Springs Resort Room Try instead: Pop Century if transportation matters, or spend the extra money strategically on a Deluxe only when the location radically changes your trip. 7. Rooms Near Elevators This is the room request people make because it sounds smart. And in theory, it is smart. Less walking. Easier luggage hauling. Faster exits in the morning. Great. A lot of patterns going on here! In practice? Congratulations on booking yourself front-row seats to Elevator: The Musical. You get the dinging. The rolling suitcases. The children are discovering indoor acoustics at 6:12 AM. The late-night hallway chats from people who have just returned from EPCOT and are suddenly philosophers. It is convenient with a side of ambient chaos. If you’re a heavy sleeper, maybe you can power through it. If not, this is one of those “helpful” room locations that can backfire hard. Tower of Terror Try instead: Request a room that is close-ish to transportation or amenities, but not directly next to the elevator or ice machine. There is a middle ground, and it is much less shouty. 8. Grand Floridian Rooms Here we go. The Grand Floridian is iconic. It’s one of Disney World’s flagship deluxe resorts, famous for its Victorian style, dining, and proximity to Magic Kingdom. It is, without question, fancy. Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort and Spa But depending on your taste, it can also feel less “whimsical luxury” and more “wealthy aunt’s very serious sitting room where you are not allowed to touch anything.” For some guests, that elegant atmosphere reads sophisticated. For others, it reads vaguely like a high-end retirement community with better scones. And when you factor in the rates? You really have to want that specific aesthetic. Some people adore it. Others spend the whole stay wondering why they paid that much to feel like they should lower their voice in the hallway. Try instead: Wilderness Lodge if you want deluxe magic with more personality, or Beach Club if you want a premium resort that feels a little more relaxed and vacation-y. The Bottom Line Not every expensive Disney World hotel room is a bad choice. But some of them are being sold to people who don’t actually vacation in a way that makes those upgrades worthwhile. That’s the trick. Disney’s Wilderness Lodge The “best” room is not the one with the flashiest label, the fanciest balcony, or the strongest fan club. It’s the one that matches how you travel. If you’re barely in the room, don’t overpay for the view. If convenience matters, don’t let sprawling-resort propaganda sweet-talk you. If your budget has limits, don’t let a pretty lobby convince you to make reckless financial decisions in mouse ears. Because at Disney World, there is a big difference between a room that looks impressive online and a room that actually makes your trip better. We’re on the new Disney Adventure cruise ship this week, and we were blown away by the new Spellbound Lounge. It’s a mysterious lounge inspired by the Evil Queen from Snow White with some wickedly tempting treats! Spellbound Of course, we had to stop and check it out and try one of these poisonous drinks for ourselves. We tried The Queen for $16, which was made with Ciroc Vodka, grape, lime juice, agave, and Pommery Brut. The Queen This drink didn’t entirely blow us away. According to our Cast Member, this is the most popular drink. It was sweet and fruity, thanks to the grape, but was pretty acidic due to the lime juice. It was balanced and sweet, but we think drinking a whole glass would have been too much. One thing we did love was the smoke coming out of the lit-up cube! It was like a dry ice effect, but something that lasted the whole drink. We loved all the details around the bar, though. Obviously themed to the Evil Queen and Snow White, there were tons of references to the movie with mirrors… Mirrors …apples… The menu …and daggers. The heart and dagger! There was a lot of oozing and dripping symbolism, too. Dripping by the bar The trees and twisting branches were pretty cool to see. It felt like we were going into the forest. It felt like we were in a forest! We could have spent hours admiring all the details — we just probably would have ordered a different drink to sip on. Looking for more details! We’ve got great news out of Disney Springs, especially if you’re looking to park there on busy evenings and weekends! Lime Garage While you can head to Disney Springs via a free Disney bus from any of the theme parks or hotels, many people prefer to bring their own cars, or the cars they rented for their trip, so they’re in control of where they park and can leave whenever they’d like without having to wait for a bus. For the past few months, though, parking has been harder than usual, as the Lime Garage has been closed. The good news? It’s finally back open! The Boathouse, one of the popular restaurants at Disney Springs that happens to be located closer to the Lime Garage than other parking lots, made a post on their social media, letting people know that the Lime Garage is now back open! @theboathouseorlando on Instagram The garage was first closed from January 12th through February 11th, then reopened briefly from February 12th through 16th, then closed again from February 17th through March 13th. The garage is officially back open for good, making parking much easier. The Orange Garage and Lime Garage are often the most popular to park in due to their proximity to multiple offerings (I myself usually find myself parking in Orange Garage). Also popular is the Watermelon Lot, which is closest to Cirque du Soleil and House of Blues. Lime Garage parking If you’re heading into Disney Springs and find all three of these to be full, though, you can also head to the Grapefruit Garage across the street and take the pedestrian footbridge over. The Mango Lot is also tucked beside the Watermelon Lot and is not known about by many (but now you know!), and then the furthest parking lot is the Strawberry Lot, located on the back side of the Cirque du Soleil building. We can’t believe we can officially say that we have sailed from Singapore on the Disney Cruise Line’s newest ship, the Disney Adventure! Sorcerer Mickey Topiary in Imagination Garden We have never seen a ship in the Disney Cruise Line fleet quite like this one. There is so much to see and do, and the theming is impeccable. One thing that really stands out with this ship, which is both unique and breathtaking, is that there are seven uniquely themed areas. We got to visit and explore every themed area, and we have been excited to show you everything! Disney Imagination Garden The Disney Imagination Garden is like the centerpiece of the Disney Adventure! The courtyard is beautifully decorated, with a Sorcerer Mickey topiary, golden “trees” that provide shade, and the first Disney castle on a Disney cruise. The Castle on the Disney Adventure You’ll also find a stage in the area for all sorts of entertainment for you to enjoy during your cruise, including the Let’s Set Sail dance party, Avengers Assemble!, and Duffy and The Friend Ship. Disney Imagination Garden The Disney Imagination Garden also offers a great spot for meet-and-greets with characters. Right next to the area is where you’ll find two dining locations — Gramma Tala’s Kitchen and Mowgli’s Eatery. We loved this spot, and could’ve spent so much time here just relaxing. Gramma Tala’s Kitchen Toy Story Place Let’s head to the upper decks for a second to check out Toy Story Place, which spans a lot of the upper decks of the cruise! Toy Story Place! This place is fun for the whole family, but especially for kiddos! There is tons to do here, like the Sunnyside Family Pool, Woody and Jessie’s Wild Slides, the Flying Saucer Splash Zone, the Toy Story Splash Pad, and multiple whirlpool spas. Woody and Jessie Wild Slides Not looking to get wet just yet? You can go to Toy Story Place to watch films play on two jumbo screens throughout the day. Or how about something to eat? Of course, you can check out Pizza Planet, as well as Wheezy’s Freezies, for a sweet frozen treat. This is in the conversation for the best area for families, so it gets pretty busy almost all day long. Toy Story Place Disney Discovery Reef Let’s stick with the Pixar theme and head to our next spot, Disney Discovery Reef. Well, it’s not just Pixar themed here, but it is a big part of the area! This area is inspired by iconic Disney films, including The Little Mermaid, Finding Nemo, Lilo & Stitch, and Luca. This is an open-air area, giving you a great view of the sky and lots of sun. The area has beautiful coral reef displays, and you can even see Dory and Nemo. Discovery Disney Reef However, this place TRULY shines at night, turning into a stunning bioluminescent scene! You need to be here during the day and the night; it’s like two different experiences. Discovery Reef at night Of course, there is dining and entertainment in this area. Here you’ll find Cosmic Kebabs, Bewitching Boba and Brews, Taverna Portorosso, Palo Café, Palo Trattoria, and Mike and Sulley’s Flavors of Asia. Down there is Disney Discovery Reef! Marvel Landing Shall we head back up to the upper deck to see where all the Marvel fans will be heading? Marvel Landing is located at the very top of the ship, and you’ll see why. Here, you can meet a few different Marvel characters throughout the day, but its main draw is that there are THREE RIDES in this land — like, three Disney attractions on this cruise! Marvel Landing If you’re looking for thrills, Marvel Landing is the spot for you. We’re not kidding, there are ACTUAL rides on this cruise ship! The attractions are called Groot Galaxy Spin, Pym Quantum Racers, and Ironcycle Test Run — which is the first roller coaster ever on a Disney cruise! Ironcycle Test Run on Marvel Landing Groot Galaxy Spin is similar to Dumbo at the parks. It’s a spinning attraction for all ages. Pym Quantum Racers is another family-friendly ride similar to Tomorrowland Speedway, but it was very slow, and we saw it break down quite a few times. Marvel fans, assemble here! Marvel Landing! Wayfinder Bay Let’s stay on the upper decks and check out Wayfinder Bay! This is the place you come to chill and relax. Wayfinder Way has a wading pool, tiered deck seating, and entertainment themed to Moana. Wayfinder Bay Come here for a nice dip in the pool and check out the giant screen near the pool that offers an experience for interactive events and live shows like Moana: Call of the Sea. Or, stop by the Wayfinder Bar, where we grabbed a few drinks! The big screen! This area isn’t adult-only, but it wasn’t a chaotic part of the ship either. This may be one of the calmer parts of the ship, since it is more geared towards relaxation. Trust us, you’ll need some time at Wayfinder Bay! Let’s relax! Town Square Let’s head back down and check out Town Square, which we ADORED. We aren’t exaggerating when we say it’s like stepping into a fairytale! Here you’ll find theming elements inspired by Cinderella, Tiana, Anna, Elsa, Rapunzel, and all your favorite Disney princesses. Town Square The place had lots of dining and shopping areas. However, the big draw is the stunning Walt Disney Theatre, where you can watch live Broadway-level performances throughout your vacation. If there’s anything you need to mark down as a must-do on your cruise, it’s this! Walt Disney Theatre Some other things you can check out in this area are the Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique and an elegant tea party experience meant for royalty called the Royal Society for Friendship and Tea. There’s also the Marvel Style Suite for those who want to become a superhero. Disney villains fans should check out the Spellbound lounge as well. Marvel Style San Fransokyo Street Lastly, let’s head to San Fransokyo Street, which will shock you with its theming! This whole area is inspired by the fictional city from Disney’s beloved animated movie, Big Hero 6. Here you’ll find Edge and Vibe, clubs for tweens and teens disguised as shops on the square. Edge is a high-energy hangout for tweens aged 11–14, featuring gaming, music, and activities. Vibe is a trendy lounge for teens aged 14–17, offering movies, socializing, and video games. Nightlife is for the kids in this area! San Fransokyo Street Another thing that took our breath away was Baymax Cinemas, where you can sit down, relax, and watch a Disney movie. Also, check out some special shopping opportunities at Duffy and Friends Shop. You can also take part in the Duffy and Friends Discovery Quest, where you can follow clues to lost items around the ship and get a special prize. Hey Baymax! There is so much more fun to be had in the Big Hero Arcade. Also, be on the lookout for Baymax, who often comes out to say hi to guests! If you’re planning on visiting Disney World, you’ve probably already read our many posts about how to choose a good park bag. We definitely have our favorites, although one of our favorite brands is probably Loungefly because it has such unique and fun designs themed to our favorite Disney characters and movies. This Loungefly is everything However, there’s one new Loungefly bag that we just got that we are OBSESSED with. Not only is this one of the prettiest Loungeflys we’ve ever seen, but it’s so versatile, and we love using it in the parks. So, of course, we’re going to tell you all about it. But first, we just have to show it off, because this is the PERFECT statement bag for someone who loves Mickey or maybe even someone who’s Disneybounding. The iridescent color scheme is GORGEOUS. We also love the embroidered Mickey design on the front against the blue crushed velvet fabric. We always get a lot of compliments when we have this bag with us. Isn’t it beautiful? However, it’s also big enough that you can put your iPad in it, or maybe even some books or a small gaming system, which could come in handy when standing in line. It has typical backpack straps, but it also has a handle at the top, so you can carry it either as a backpack or tote. As a backpack However, you can also change out the backpack straps with a crossbody strap so that it’s also a crossbody bag! Isn’t that genius? So you can wear this bag in one of three ways. We will warn you that, because it’s bigger than a traditional Loungefly mini backpack, it may not be as convenient to take it on some rides. You might want to consider putting it in a locker, in that case. Also, the vinyl can get scratched, so you’ll want to be careful with it. With the shoulder strap However, because it is a bigger bag, you can put a lot more stuff in it. It has lots of organization and pockets, unlike a typical Loungefly mini backpack. In all honesty, we wish Loungefly would make more bags like this. There are so many construction projects in Disney World right now, it’s a little hard to keep track of them all. That’s why we’re here, though, to help you stay updated on them all! ©Disney For months now, we’ve been anxiously awaiting updates on NUMEROUS of Disney World’s upcoming attractions across the different parks, and now, all in one week, we got a TON of updates spanning Magic Kingdom, Disney’s Hollywood Studios, and Disney’s Animal Kingdom! Disney’s Hollywood Studios Animation Courtyard Animation Courtyard closed on September 25th, 2025, to make way for Walt Disney Studios. This new area will open on May 26th, 2026, and will be a special nod to the Walt Disney Studios lot. Star Wars Launch Bay will be turned into The Magic of Disney Animation. This attraction will have you interacting and exploring with this fun take on Disney Animation headquarters. Most recently, Disney announced that a new Animation Academy experience called Olaf Draws! will be added into this new area, and it’s been…controversial, to say the least! ©Disney This area will also feature a new Drawn to Wonderland indoor play area and the current Disney Jr. Play and Dance! show will be getting a makeover. During the transformation, you will still be able to visit “The Little Mermaid – A Musical Adventure” and Walt Disney Presents. Muppets Courtyard, including Muppet*Vision 3D, PizzeRizzo, and Mama Melrose’s Ristorante Italiano Muppet*Vision 3D AND PizzeRizzo closed on June 8th, and Muppets Courtyard has been walled off so construction can begin on the new Monsters, Inc. land. Mama Melrose’s Ristorante Italiano has been closed since May 11th. Most recently, we got a look at the land as a whole, and we can see that almost all Muppets theming has been removed from the area, with the exception of the PizzeRizzo sign. ©bioreconstruct Don’t worry, the Muppets won’t be missing from Disney’s Hollywood Studios forever. The Muppets will eventually be taking over Rock ‘n’ Roller Coaster in summer 2026. Rock ‘n’ Roller Coaster Starring The Muppets Disney has already made tons of progress on the new version of this iconic attraction! The previous name of the ride has already been removed from multiple locations, including on the guitar, which is now behind the scrim and scaffolding. Scrim in front of Rock ‘n’ Roller Coaster Disney is also already putting new paint on the car at the entrance to this area, so it looks more like the Electric Mayhem’s iconic van. New paint job! KRNR The Rock Station is also currently closed, and we’re curious to see if it’ll reopen as a new snack spot, just rethemed, in the near future! Closed! We’ll be keeping a close eye on this spot — we know a lot is to come! March Prices CONFIRMED For Disney World’s Lightning Lane System EPCOT Refreshment Port Refreshment Port located near the Canada Pavilion in EPCOT’s World Showcase is temporarily closed for refurbishment as of January 12th. Not so great news if you were hoping to snag a specialty poutine during EPCOT’s International Flower & Garden Festival. The Refreshment Port is closed However, there will still be plenty of yummy snacks to grab! Disney hasn’t yet announced what will be done at Refreshment Port or when the stand will reopen. However, we will keep an eye and ear out for progress and keep you updated. CONFIRMED: These 10 EPCOT Festival Snacks Are the BEST Ways to Spend Your Dining Plan Credits Disney’s Animal Kingdom On February 23rd, Disney temporarily closed Rafiki’s Planet Watch and the Wildlife Express, which takes guests over to this part of the park, to make way for the new Bluey attraction coming to the park for Cool KIDS’ SUMMER on May 26th. For the time being, you can still visit the Wilderness Explorer badge offerings, as well as a few character meet and greets, at the train station. The signs are covered up! Since February 2nd, it’s been official that DinoLand U.S.A. is officially closed to make way for the new Tropical Americas land, Pueblo Esperanza. Don’t get us wrong, we’re looking forward to what’s new, but especially since we just recently saw the DinoLand sign come down, we’re missing DINOSAUR and the rest of this uniquely themed land already! Most recently, we’ve seen updates that show the exterior fountain and Iguanodon statue have been removed outside of the former DINOSAUR attraction. ©Bioreconstruct We’re also seeing lots of progress on the new carousel attraction coming to this land, which is very exciting! ©Bioreconstruct This new land is expected to open sometime in 2027 with three new rides, a new restaurant, shopping spots, a beautiful fountain, and more, so we’ll be sure to keep you updated on all the latest! If THIS Doesn’t Happen in Disney World in 2026, Disney Adults Will Riot Blizzard Beach On February 15th, 2026, Blizzard Beach reopened in Disney World, and Typhoon Lagoon closed for refurbishment. Visiting during the summer and don’t want to worry about tons of crowds in one park? Typhoon Lagoon will reopen again on May 12th, 2026, so for the majority of the summer, we’ll have both water parks open again. Blizzard Beach This Disney World Park Upgrade Costs $49 But Is Totally Worth It Disney World Hotels Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort & Spa This week is finally the week that the new Grand Floridian’s Tea Room Experience opens in the Garden View Lounge! This spot reopens on March 19th, 2026, and reservations are going to be HARD to come by for quite some time, so be prepared. Garden View Lounge This hotel has been undergoing refurbishments all over for quite some time now, but we know that sections of the hotel — specifically the porte cochere — will continue to undergo refurbishment through early 2027 at least. Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort and Spa We certainly hope it’ll actually be able to hit this timeline — we’re a little tired of seeing construction all over this beautiful hotel! Bay Cove Pool Area — Bay Lake Tower at Disney’s Contemporary Resort This week, the Bay Cove Pool, the water play area, and the whirlpool spa at Bay Lake Tower at Disney’s Contemporary Resort will temporarily close for maintenance. From January 26th through early May 2026, the pool area will be unavailable. Disney’s Contemporary Resort During the closure, guests can still use the Bay Lake Pool, the feature pool, the water play area, and the whirlpool spa at Disney’s Contemporary Resort. Disney’s Saratoga Springs Resort For those looking to dine at this hotel, you need to know that the Turf Club Bar & Grill and Turf Club Lounge will both be under refurbishment from mid-March through mid-September 2026. To break it down, in early April, the Turf Club Lounge will close for refurbishment and will reopen in early August. In the meantime, the Turf Club Bar & Grill will remain open with a pop-up bar serving a modified Lounge food and beverage menu. The Turf Club Lounge Then, from early to mid-August, the Turf Club patio will close for refurbishment, and finally, from mid-August through mid-September, the Turf Club Bar & Grill will be closed for refurbishment, but the Turf Club Lounge will be open. Leisure Pools — Disney’s Yacht Club Resort and Disney’s Beach Club Resort Disney’s Yacht Club and Disney’s Beach Club Resort are currently undergoing visible exterior maintenance. The maintenance could affect views and may require alternate routes at times. In addition, two of the resort’s leisure pools will close for routine maintenance. At Disney’s Yacht Club, the Admiral leisure be will be closed for maintenance through early May 2026. Admiral Pool At Disney’s Beach Club, the Tidal leisure pool will be closed for maintenance through early May 2026. During the construction, guests may see or hear construction work, but it will only be done during the daytime hours. Crew’s Cup Lounge — Disney’s Yacht Club Resort On February 23rd, Crew’s Cup Lounge closed for refurbishment until May 2026. Crew’s Cup Lounge While we don’t have a specific reopening date yet, we do know that when the lounge reopens, Yachtsman Steakhouse will close instead, also to go under refurbishment. Turtle Pond Pool, Turtle Pond Pool Spa, BBQ Area, and Playground — Disney’s Old Key West Resort Starting early January through early February 2026, the Turtle Pond Pool, Turtle Pond Pool Spa, the BBQ area, and the playground at Disney’s Old Key West Resort will be closed for routine maintenance. Turtle Pond Pool at Old Key West During the closure, guests can head over to the Sandcastle Pool or one of the resort’s leisure pools. There are two different leisure pools available: the South Point Pool and Miller’s Road Pool. Surfboard Bay Pool and Kiddie Pool — Disney’s All-Star Sports Resort From January 2026 through April 2026, the Surfboard Bay Pool and Kiddie Pool at Disney’s All-Star Sports Resort will be closed for maintenance. Don’t worry, though, if you are in the swimming mood, you will still have plenty of options for pools. You may just need to travel a bit farther. Surfboard Bay At Disney’s All-Star Sports, the Grand Slam Leisure Pool will still be open. As well, you can also use any of the pools at the other All-Star Resorts. You can use the Calypso Pool and Piano Pool and kiddie pool at Disney’s All-Star Music Resort or the Fantasia Pool and Duck Pond Pool and kiddie pool at Disney’s All-Star Movies Resort. Promenade Fine Art Gallery — Disney’s BoardWalk Inn and Resort The Promenade Fine Art Gallery will be closing its Disney’s BoardWalk location on October 20th, 2025. However, the Promenade Fine Art Gallery isn’t closing for good, and it will just be moving to a new location. Promenade Fine Art Gallery The gallery hasn’t announced yet where that new location will be, but we will keep you updated as we learn more! Jellyrolls — Disney’s BoardWalk Jellyrolls at Disney’s BoardWalk officially closed on April 19th, 2025. This entertainment venue has provided our team with countless memories, and we know many others are also sad to see it close. Jellyrolls had its final farewell performance on April 19th and closed its doors forever on Disney’s BoardWalk. Jellyrolls However, this isn’t the end for Jellyrolls, as the bar has said they are “making a move.” We don’t know many details about that move yet, but we will keep you updated. Get ready to dive into more stories with the beloved Blue Heeler family that has captured the hearts of so many. Disney+ will be debuting more Bluey mini-episodes, as well as a STAGE SHOW — let’s look at the details! Disney+ is expanding its Bluey offerings with new content arriving both this month and later this summer. Disney just announced that Bluey’s Big Play – The Stage Show will be premiering on the streaming site on March 16th. This stage show is a special televised version of the popular touring theatrical production, featuring live performances of fan-favorite Bluey characters brought to life by world-class puppeteers. ©Disney Bluey’s Big Play – The Stage Show is an original story by Bluey creator Joe Brumm and music specially composed by Joff Bush. As much as we all like to pretend that real life pauses the moment we step into Disney World, the truth is, life still happens. Even in EPCOT. EPCOT And when you spend as much time in Disney World as we do, you start to realize that emotions can run the full spectrum here. One minute you’re eating the best snack of your life, the next minute your phone buzzes with stressful news from home, or maybe the fireworks just hit you right in the feelings. Hey, we’ve all been there. Sometimes you just need a good cry. A happy cry, a sad cry, an overwhelmed cry because it’s 97 degrees out, your kids are melting down, and you haven’t eaten in 7 hours. And if that moment hits while you’re wandering around EPCOT, don’t worry, we’ve got you covered. Morocco Pavilion If you start crying in the Morocco Pavilion, you can always claim it’s because the architecture is just that beautiful. But there are actually a couple of low-key spots here that work especially well if you need a moment. One option is the Fez House, located toward the front-left side of the pavilion. It’s an indoor gallery space that can sometimes be completely empty, making it a peaceful place to sit and collect yourself. Fair warning, though, it can get a little echoey, so maybe keep the loud sobbing to a minimum. Fez House Another great option is the back bazaar area of the pavilion. While it’s not air-conditioned, there are plenty of shaded tables and chairs tucked away from the main walkways. Plus, you might even spot a sangria cart nearby, which could help the situation. Bazaar in Morocco Spaceship Earth If you’re going to cry in EPCOT, you might as well do it in the park’s most iconic attraction. Spaceship Earth is honestly one of the best rides for a discreet emotional moment. Why? It’s long, dark, and there’s the comforting voice of Dame Judi Dench guiding you through human history. Plus, the ride moves slowly enough that you can take a few deep breaths, gather yourself, and exit feeling at least slightly more emotionally stable. Spaceship Earth The Restrooms by Figment Sometimes the best crying spot is the simplest one: a quiet bathroom with good air conditioning. To the far right of the entrance to Journey Into Imagination with Figment, you’ll find one of EPCOT’s most underrated restrooms. Many guests walk right past it without realizing it’s there, which means it’s usually much less crowded than other bathrooms in the park. If you need a few minutes alone to regroup, splash some cold water on your face, or simply escape the crowds, this is a surprisingly solid option. Imagination Pavilion World Nature If you’d rather cry somewhere outdoors, head toward World Nature. There’s a little bench built into one of the large planters that faces across the water toward The Land Pavilion. It’s a bit tucked away from the main path, which means people rarely walk directly over there. That makes it a great place to sit quietly, look out over the water, and process whatever you’re feeling without a ton of foot traffic around you. Plus, the area is usually shaded for much of the day, so you won’t be sitting in the blazing sun while you’re having your main-character moment. And honestly? Looking across at one of EPCOT’s best pavilions while taking a breather isn’t the worst way to reset. Great for crying. At the end of the day, if you’ve gotta cry, there are certainly worse places to do it than Disney World. And the good news? EPCOT is also full of ways to cheer yourself back up. Go grab your favorite festival snack, hop on your comfort ride, or stop by to say hi to Mickey. Sometimes that’s all it takes to turn the day around. If you’ve visited Disney’s Animal Kingdom recently, you’ve probably noticed that the park is in the middle of a HUGE transformation — and it’s only going to get more noticeable. Bluey and Bingo Construction walls, land expansions, and long-term projects are already changing how the park operates day-to-day. Well, Disney’s about to add another major layer to the mix as early as this May. Here’s what you need to know about an offering that could make Animal Kingdom a little more crowded than usual… Starting May 26, 2026, characters from the hit show Bluey will arrive at the park — and their debut could make navigating Animal Kingdom even more interesting than it already is. ©Bluey x CAMP Bluey and Bingo will officially appear in a new experience called Bluey’s Wild World at Animal Kingdom’s Conservation Station — a quieter corner of the park that many guests already reach by riding the Wildlife Express Train. The experience will include meet-and-greets with Bluey and Bingo, dance parties, interactive play moments, classic Bluey games like “butterfly keepy uppy”, and even tie-ins with Australian animals featured in Jumping Junction! Conservation Station It seems like Australian animals like kangaroos or wallabies could be making their way to the former Affection Section petting zoo! Kangaroos This experience will feature characters from one of the most beloved IPs in the world right now — bringing guests into an area of the park that is usually less crowded. Get ready for some long lines and heavy foot traffic. Essentially, this new addition will force families to create new game plans — whether they want to experience the attraction or not. ©Disney The timing of this arrival is fascinating — as Disney is fully in the thick of replacing DinoLand U.S.A. with the new Tropical Americas land. One simple tip could be the difference between a magical vacation and an $800 mistake. Magic Kingdom Planning a trip to Disney World can get expensive fast, especially if you’re traveling with a large group or family. Between souvenirs, food, and hotel stays, it’s easy to watch your budget disappear before you’ve even made it to your second park day. But one of our readers recently shared a simple planning trick that helped their family avoid spending an extra $800, and it might work for you, too. Buying Park Outfits Before Your Trip If you’ve been to Magic Kingdom recently, you’ve probably noticed the sea of matching family shirts walking down Main Street, U.S.A. The coordinated outfits are practically a tradition at this point, and honestly, we love the energy. But here’s where things can add up quickly. Fantasyland Crowds Our reader told us their extended family trip included ten people, and everyone wanted matching shirts for each park day. When they first looked at custom vacation shirts online, the average price hovered around $20 per shirt. That might not sound too bad until you do the math. Ten people multiplied by $20 per shirt multiplied by four park days equals $800. That’s a lot of money for shirts that might only be worn a handful of times. ©Amazon Instead of going with custom shirts for every day of their trip, they looked for similar themed shirts on Amazon before leaving for their vacation. They found plenty of Disney-inspired options for significantly less, often around $8 to $12 each, depending on the style. By ordering ahead of time, the family still got the fun coordinated look they wanted without blowing hundreds of dollars on outfits. It also meant they weren’t tempted to buy shirts inside the parks, where merchandise prices tend to be even higher. Bring Your Own Water Bottle Here’s another expense that sneaks up on a lot of visitors. Bottled water in the parks usually costs around $4 to $5 each. If you’re visiting during the hotter months in Florida, which is most of the year, you’re going to be drinking a lot of water. Rapunzel Owala Let’s say each person in your group buys three bottles of water during the day. For a family of four, that can easily climb to $48 to $60 in a single day just on water. Now stretch that across a four-day vacation, and you’re suddenly looking at close to $200. The easy solution is to bring a reusable water bottle into the parks. Disney World has filtered water refill stations in multiple locations, and most quick service restaurants will also give you cups of ice water for free if you ask. But it is important to note that Florida water has a distinct taste that may not be for everyone. So you may still find yourself buying water and using the bottle to ensure it stays cold longer! Water Bottle Refill Station By TRON Refilling throughout the day takes just a minute and can save you a surprising amount of money over the course of your trip. Look Into DVC Rental Agencies Now let’s talk about one of the highest costs of any Disney vacation. Hotels. Staying at a Disney resort is an incredible experience, but those nightly prices can get pretty steep depending on where you stay. Deluxe resorts in particular can climb into the $600 to $900 per night range during busy travel seasons. DVC Villa at Wilderness Lodge That is where Disney Vacation Club rental agencies come in. Disney Vacation Club members sometimes rent out their unused points through reputable rental companies. Guests can then book rooms at Disney Vacation Club villas for a much lower price than booking directly through Disney. We’re talking hundreds of dollars less per night in many cases. It can be one of the easiest ways to experience resorts like Disney’s Polynesian Village Resort, Disney’s Animal Kingdom Lodge, or Disney’s BoardWalk Villas without paying full deluxe resort prices. From rides to lands to hotels, and yes, even to restaurants, you’ll be hard-pressed to find a time when somewhat at the resort isn’t in the midst of change. Yachtsman Steakhouse Currently, one of Disney’s most popular hotel dining corners is in the midst of a refurbishment that involves two closures, which combined will take up the better part of 2026, and based on precedent could mean some very different eateries opening on the other side. As part of a larger refurbishment project at the Yacht Club, two of the resort’s most popular restaurants — Yachtsman Steakhouse and its connected Crew’s Cup Lounge — are both closing for months-long closures this year. The lounge — a “cozy outpost” featuring a wide selection of beers, wine, cocktails, and a menu of lounge favorites including the delectable Prime Rib Sliders — was the first to close, shuttering on February 23rd for a refresh that Disney says will last through May. Then, presumably, once The Crew’s Cup reopens, the larger Yachtsman Steakhouse — a nautical New England-style steakhouse. featuring a menu of steaks, seafood, and other dishes — is scheduled to close in May for a refurbishment of its own. According to Disney, the steakhouse should reopen sometime in August. Yachtsman Steakhouse While Disney hasn’t released many details about any potential changes coming to the popular Yacht Club locations, the fact that each refurbishment at these interconnected eateries are scheduled to extend out for 3 months each would seem to indicate that they’ll likely look pretty different inside once they’re reopened. Yachtsman Steakhouse For example, when Narcoossee’s at the Grand Floridian went through a long refurbishment a few years ago, the restaurant… The old Narcoossee’s … looked quite different when it reopened. Narcoossee’s We may get a good idea of just how different the Yachtsman Steakhouse will look come August when the Crew’s Cup reopens in May. But if you are a longtime fan of these two locations, mentally prepare yourself for big changes beacuse based on what we’re seeing, they’re right around the corner. With all the construction going on at Disney World, it seems like we keep getting updates on new patents and permits for upcoming projects! ©Disney We’ve been seeing permits for Monstropolis coming to Hollywood Studios, Tropical Americas coming to Animal Kingdom, and the huge expansion coming to Magic Kingdom. We’ve recently been hearing more and more about Piston Peak coming to Magic Kingdom, and now we have MORE to share! Now, there’s a NEW patent that you’ve gotta see, because we seriously think it has to do with the new Cars ride. The newest patent was published just a couple of days ago, on March 12th, and is for a “New Ride System Featuring a Free-Range Vehicle Platform.” What’s interesting is that even though the patent was just published, it was actually filed all the way back on September 11th, 2024. Disney’s US 2026/0072453 A1 Patent Although it isn’t confirmed, the diagrams of the ride system in the patent look like they would be an outline of the “rally race” type ride that is coming to Piston Peak. What’s most interesting is what stands out in the abstract of the patent, which states the ride system “may include a track including uneven terrain, a plurality of ride vehicles positioned on the track, and a fleet controller (e.g., a wayside controller). The ride vehicles may be adapted to traverse the uneven terrain, such as along a respective chosen path of multiple paths based on respective user control. The user control may be configured to select the chosen path and adjust the speed and the direction of the ride vehicle along the chosen path. The fleet controller may provide an override control of the ride vehicles along the track based on the chosen path, the speed, and the direction of the ride vehicles. The fleet controller may define a default position and pacing for the ride vehicles. The user control may be configured to adjust the position and pacing of an associated ride vehicle from the default position and pacing, respectively.” Disney’s US 2026/0072453 A1 Patent There’s a lot to unpack here! For starters, it sounds like guests would enter a vehicle that they can ACTUALLY drive along the track. Not only that, but a track that they CHOOSE, while avoiding obstacles. Similar to Millennium Falcon Smugglers Run, it sounds like you’ll actually be controlling the vehicle. ©Disney We’re thinking that the fleet controller mentioned in the abstract is for when kids aren’t able to control the vehicle. It sounds like this would be Cast Members who have the ability to take over the vehicle — helping it move smoothly, avoid obstacles, and move to different tracks. We don’t know this for sure, but it seems like it could be a good hunch. Disney’s US 2026/0072453 A1 Patent Of course, it’s important to remember that this patent could have NOTHING to do with the rally race ride coming to Piston Peak. It could be for a completely different ride we see in the distant future, or a ride that never even comes to life at all. That being said, based on what we’re seeing and what we’ve seen before for the ride, we don’t think it’s far-fetched to think this could be for the big ride coming to Magic Kingdom!
