  2. If you’ve ever stayed at Disney’s Pop Century Resort, you already know why people love it. Disney’s Pop Century Resort The Skyliner access is clutch, the theming is pure nostalgia, and the rooms are some of the most practical on Disney property. But even with all those perks, there are a few small things that can make your stay go from “pretty great” to “why don’t I pack this every single time?” Because when you’re coming back from a long park day, the last thing you want is to deal with dead devices, messy suitcases, or struggling to fall asleep. We’ve rounded up a few simple items that can seriously upgrade your Pop Century stay. DISCLOSURE: This post may contain affiliate links, meaning when you click the links and make a purchase, we receive a commission. Keep all your Apple devices charged in one spot 3 in 1 Charging Station Even though Disney has updated a lot of its hotel rooms over the years, outlets can still feel surprisingly scarce once everyone starts plugging things in. Phones, smart watches, earbuds, portable chargers. It doesn’t take long before the nightstand looks like a tangled mess of cables. That’s why a 3-in-1 charging station is such a smart thing to pack. It lets you power your iPhone, Apple Watch, and AirPods all at once while only using a single outlet. Everything charges wirelessly, so you’re not juggling multiple cords across the room. One of the best parts is how compact it is. Most of these chargers fold flat, which makes them ridiculously easy to toss into a carry-on or park bag. At the end of the night, you just drop your devices onto the stand, and you’re done. No outlet hunting required. view ON AMAZON Charge multiple MagicBand+ devices at once MultiCharger for MagicBand+ If you’re traveling with a group, keeping everyone’s MagicBand+ charged can get chaotic fast. One person finds an outlet, someone else needs it for their phone, and suddenly, you’re rotating bands throughout the night. A multi-charger made specifically for MagicBand+ can solve that problem instantly. These chargers usually have several USB-A ports, which means you can power up multiple bands at the same time using the cords that came with them. Some even let you mix devices, so you could charge a couple of bands and still plug in a phone if needed. For families or friend groups, it keeps everything organized in one spot and makes sure nobody wakes up to a dead band before rope drop. view ON AMAZON Add extra outlets with a flat plug power strip Flat Plug Power Strip If your travel crew brings a lot of electronics, a small power strip can be a total lifesaver in a Disney hotel room. A flat plug power strip is especially handy because it sits flush against the wall and works well with the sometimes awkwardly placed outlets in hotel rooms. Many of these include several regular outlets plus USB-A and USB-C ports, which means you can charge phones, portable batteries, watches, and other devices all at once. It’s a simple item, but it can completely eliminate the nightly charging shuffle that tends to happen in hotel rooms. view ON AMAZON Sleep better with a portable white noise machine Dreamegg Portable Travel White Noise Machine Sleeping in a Disney hotel can be trickier than it sounds. Hallway noise, an overactive brain, whatever it is, falling asleep isn’t always easy. This little white noise machine is genuinely tiny, pocket-sized even, but it’s loaded with sound options: classic white noise, fan sounds, rain, ocean, and more. It’s a great tool for light sleepers and for anyone who just needs their brain to finally stop running through tomorrow’s park plan at midnight. view ON AMAZON Try a sound machine that doubles as a night light ©Amazon Another solid option if you want something with a bit more variety is this Soother Sound Machine. It’s got 30 different sounds, from waves and white noise to rain, piano, birds, and even train sounds. It also doubles as a multi-color night light, which is handy if you’re traveling with little ones who need a little something on in the room. Lots of options, small footprint. view ON AMAZON Keep your room organized with a pop-up hamper ©Amazon Living out of a suitcase sounds manageable at first, but after a couple of park days, hotel rooms can start looking chaotic. Clothes end up on chairs, socks mysteriously appear on the floor, and suddenly you’re not totally sure which pile is clean. A collapsible pop-up hamper can fix that instantly. These lightweight hampers fold completely flat in your luggage and spring open as soon as you arrive at your hotel. The mesh design allows clothes to air out, which is especially helpful after those hot Florida park days. And when it’s time to pack up or do laundry, the built-in handles make everything easy to carry. It’s one of those small things that makes your room feel way more organized throughout your trip. view ON AMAZON Pack a travel bathroom spray ©Amazon Let’s be honest for a second. Most Disney hotel rooms mean one shared bathroom, and that can get awkward pretty quickly when you’re traveling with friends or family. A small bottle of bathroom spray can be surprisingly helpful. These sprays work before you go, creating a barrier in the toilet bowl that helps trap odors instead of trying to cover them afterward. The travel versions are tiny enough to fit in a toiletry bag or even a park backpack, and many scents smell fresh and clean without being overpowering. It might feel a little funny to pack at first, but once you have it in your hotel room, you’ll be very glad you did. view ON AMAZON We’re always on the hunt for the latest and greatest Disney souvenirs and essentials, so don’t forget to stay tuned to the Disney Food Blog for more! 5. The Walt Disney Company just hit a major milestone, kicking off a new era of the company with a shareholders’ meeting. ©Disney The meeting began with a goodbye from Bob Iger, followed by new Disney CEO Josh D’Amaro sharing his message to the fans and shareholders, giving a rundown of what has been accomplished in the past year and what is to come under his leadership. As part of that speech, we got an update about Disney’s focus for the future. About 15 minutes into the meeting, D’Amaro addressed the future of the company and what will unify Disney going forward. He said, “We will capitalize on our strengths by focusing on coming together as one Disney.” At this point, a model appeared on the screen with the company’s 7 biggest business ventures, all surrounding a Mickey icon. ©Disney The Mickey icon in the middle features “IP and “Fans” as the two ears, with “One Disney” as the head. Going forward, the goal of the company is to draw consumers in by focusing on the IP that fans know and love. D’Amaro noted that he hopes to keep the relationship strong with the fans, “The heart of that relationship is, and it will always be, our storytelling.” ©Disney In recent years, Disney has done a decent amount of branching out into new ventures, but it seems that the heart of the company going forward will be its storytelling and fan-favorite intellectual properties. D’Amaro used Toy Story as an example of this, noting that the popular film series is already featured in theme parks around the world, on Disney Cruise Line, and in a variety of merchandise, but is also releasing its fifth movie soon. With one successful film series, Disney has been provided with a host of business ventures. ©Disney Going forward, it looks like Disney will attempt to centralize, connect, and stop being so siloed in its ventures. Storytelling, IP, and fans will be at the center of what the company does, and that will spread outward to the 7 main ventures. What are those ventures? Well, based on the chart, they seem to be film, streaming, sports, consumer products, gaming, Disney Cruise Line, and Disney Parks and Experiences. Disney Adventure Film has typically been the basis for storytelling, with many great IP characters and stories beginning there. That reach will expand through streaming services like Disney+
but it doesn’t stop there. “Disney+ will continue to evolve beyond a traditional streaming service to become the digital centerpiece of our company,” D’Amaro said. ©Disney In the past few years, ESPN has been a massive venture for Disney as well. “Our sports portfolio is unmatched,” D’Amaro noted, while sharing that on an average month, ESPN reaches around 80% of adults in the U.S. ©ESPN Of course, one of the most profitable businesses for Disney is the Experiences division. “The power of Disney comes full circle at Disney Experiences,” noted D’Amaro. “Disney has continually raised the bar for what experiences can be, and it’s always evolving.” Magic Kingdom And looking to the future, Disney won’t shy away from the use of new technologies. However, D’Amaro added that, “Disney at its core, is a company that celebrates human creativity.” He went on to praise Cast Members and thank them. “We have the most creative, the most passionate, dedicated people, and it’s because of our people that we’ll continue to create stories and experiences that our fans carry with them for a lifetime.” Cast Members are the MAGIC! Going forward, we’ll be keeping an eye on The Walt Disney Company to see how these new strategies are implemented. We’ll be interested to see what D’Amaro does with his tenure as CEO. 6. We’ve all been there – you’re having an amazing day at Disney World or Disneyland, but when you hop on your phone to check wait times, buy a Lightning Lane, or book a dinner reservation, the dreaded 20% battery notification pops up! INIU Portable Charger This $20 portable charger will solve all of your phone battery problems for good! Our team of Disney experts swears by this gadget to keep your phone going all day long. DISCLOSURE: This post may contain affiliate links, meaning when you click the links and make a purchase, we receive a commission. INIU Portable Charger The INIU Portable Charger is a handheld portable charger that powers your electronics on the go. This kept our phone fully charged from rope drop to fireworks! We loved how this has multiple charging ports, so devices can be plugged in at the same time. It’s also a mix between USB-C and USB-A ports, giving you a variety of options so you can charge everything from phones, watches, cameras, and headphones. INIU Charger We love how small and compact this charger is. INIU describes this as 30% smaller and 15% lighter than other portable chargers on the market, and we could feel the difference! It’s very slim and easily fits into our pockets while we’re on the go. Compared to the chargers we typically carry, it also doesn’t set off the security alarm, so it was much more convenient to get into the park. All of the ports This portable charger lasts all day, but we’re so impressed with how fast it charges. We can fully charge this little guy in two or three hours, but other portable chargers we’ve tried can take hours, if not the whole night. The only downside to this portable charger is that it doesn’t come with a charging cable – you’ll have to purchase a cord separately. INIU Portable Charger This portable charger makes our Disney days 10x easier! We’d recommend this to anyone looking for a portable charger that will have your back for even the longest park days. For only $20, it’s an amazing deal! view ON AMAZON We’re always on the hunt for the latest and greatest Disney souvenirs and essentials, so don’t forget to stay tuned to the Disney Food Blog for more! 9. If you’re heading to Disney World anytime soon, you probably know that the sheer amount of dining options can be somewhat overwhelming. The hacked “float” However, there are certain tips you can keep in mind to make the best of your dining experience. Let’s begin over in Toy Story Land over at Hollywood Studios, where there’s a way to combine two items from Woody’s Lunch Box and the land’s new Popcorn and Snacks cart into a delicious adult concoction. Toy Story Land Popcorn and Snacks You can pick up the $16.50 Coca-Cola with Stoli Vodka cocktail at Popcorn & Snacks — which debuted in January — and then head over to Woody’s Lunch Box and grab a serving of vanilla soft serve, which is available in a pretty decently sized cup for $6.49. The ice cream cup From there (and with an extra clear cup for alcohol in hand from Popcorn & Snacks), you can combine the cocktail with the soft serve to create two Coke & Stoli floats! The total price would be $22.99, split between two people, $11.49 each, a total savings of $10 total vs buying 2 Coke and Stoli cocktails at $16.50 each!!! The soft serve and two cups of alcohol. We evenly split the Coke and vodka concoction between the 2 cups. There was never a point where the mix had the consistency to be eaten like ice cream with a spoon. This is something you will drink with a straw, a spoon, or straight from the cup, with the consistency of a milkshake. Mixed “floats” Beyond some snack combination hacks, there are also some other tips to keep in mind when trying to score your ideal Disney meal: First off, let’s say you didn’t score Advance Dining Reservations for your ideal restaurant. Turns out all hope isn’t lost! When you’re inside your park of choice, you can add your party to the walk-up list for select table-service restaurants on the Walt Disney World app. Check availability at participating restaurants via the app—or by scanning a QR code located in the restaurant’s lobby. There’s no need to visit the host stand to check availability. Use the app to add your party to the walk-up list of an available restaurant. At this time, you can also confirm your party details, including special dietary requests. Once your table is ready, you’ll be notified to proceed to a specified location. If you DO have the reservation you desire, but want a specific table — either for practical purposes like near a bathroom or an exit, or more thematic reasons like being close to windows for a view or sitting in a specific room at, say, Be Our Guest — you can request as much at the check-in desk. Now, the Cast Members on duty may not be able to grant said request, but it never hurts to make it. Be Our Guest Whether it’s a quick service snack hack or getting the table service meal of your dreams, keep these in mind next time you’re planning Disney World meals. Stay tuned to DFB for more Disney World tips. 10. In the 70+ years since Disneyland opened, Disney has built some truly iconic theme park attractions. Rides like Pirates of the Caribbean, The Haunted Mansion, and “it’s a small world” have become culturally ubiquitous. However, there’s perhaps no more pop-culturally iconic Disney attraction than Space Mountain. The lift hill illuminated Everything from the coaster’s exterior to its theme is known well beyond the bubble of Disney’s fans, particularly because the ride maintains an air of mystery since it takes place entirely in the dark. However, we’re here to shed some light on this 50+ year-old favorite. Despite opening 8 years after Walt Disney’s death, the original concept that became Space Mountain came from the company founder’s creative mind in the early 1960s. At that time Walt, fresh of the success of building the revolutionary steel coaster the Matterhorn at Disneyland, approached Imagineer John Hench with the idea of basing the park’s upcoming New Tomorrowland (a renovation of the somewhat underwhelming opening day land) around a “Space Port” attraction that would include a “roller-coaster-style ride in the dark, with lighting and other special effects.” Sound familiar? Walt with the model of the Matterhorn Concept art for the “Space Port” (sometimes called “Space Voyage” was developed by WED Enterprises (the future Imagineering), which was developed by Hench, Clem Hall, George McGinnis, and Herb Ryman. 1966 saw the name “Space Mountain” first used for the project. Due to Walt’s death that December, as well as the technological limitations of the time, the ride was dropped from the New Tomorrowland lineup. However, that wasn’t the end of Space Mountain. ©Disney As work began on the project that came to be known as Walt Disney World in the late 1960s, RCA was contracted by Disney to provide communications hardware and infrastructure for the massive Central Florida resort. Built into that contract was a provision that Disney could pitch RCA an attraction to sponsor at the resort, which RCA would be required to provide $10 million in support for if they agreed to the sponsorship. Fast forward to Disney World’s early years following its 1971 opening, and Disney desperately wanted to install a thrill ride at the nascent resort. Imagineers decided to revive the Space Mountain concept, and then-CEO E. Card Walker was successfully able to sell RCA on the Concept. In fact, not only did the company give the $10 million and sponsor the attraction upon its 1975 opening, but Imagineers partially used RCA technology to settle the technical issues that had initially proved a problem a decade earlier. “Card” Walker @The Walt Disney Company The Magic Kingdom’s Space Mountain, which is the first Space Mountain overall, opened at Walt Disney World in January 1975. The revolutionary-for-the-time indoor coaster was an immediate smash, becoming the resort’s first true thrill attraction, and ushering in a new era for both Disney and the theme park industry overall. Space Mountain under construction. While Space Mountain may FEEL like a high-speed journey through the cosmos, the coaster only reaches a top speed of approximately 27 MPH. The ride fools riders into thinking it’s moving much faster thanks to blasts of cold air, the space travel thematic elements, and, of course, the darkness in which it takes place. View from the top In fact, to this day, there are few bigger “white whales” to chase for major Disney fans than riding Space Mountain with the lights on. Looks a lot more painful with the lights on. While this is rare, it does sometimes happen if there’s an issue with the ride, though it has been offered on a few special occasions as well. Of course, as cool as riding with the lights on is in concept, it’s also a reminder of how important the theming and darkness are to the attraction, as once it’s stripped away, the track is simply that of a typical wild mouse-style coaster. Space Mountain lit up Space Mountain has, of course, become iconic in the 50+ years since the Magic Kingdom attraction opened. Versions have been built at Disneyland, Tokyo Disneyland, Disneyland Paris, and Hong Kong Disneyland. 14. There’s a good chance you’ve been shopping at Disney World all wrong. Emporium Disney World stores are some of the most interesting parts of a park day, and honestly, browsing the merchandise is a whole experience in itself. But there are a couple of unspoken rules that a surprising number of guests completely ignore, and if you’re not careful, you might be guilty of them too. Here’s what to keep in mind the next time you’re perusing the shelves. Leaving Items in the Wrong Place Let’s start with the one that Cast Members probably wish they could gently remind every single guest about. You pick up a mug. You check the price. Maybe you decide you don’t really need another coffee cup in your life. Totally fair. But instead of putting it back where you found it, you set it on a random shelf next to a plush or a stack of T-shirts. Sound familiar? Disney mug It happens constantly in Disney stores. Guests grab something to look at and then leave it wherever they happen to be standing once they decide they don’t want it anymore. It might seem harmless in the moment, but it actually creates a surprising amount of extra work for Cast Members. Disney shops are meticulously organized so that guests can easily find what they’re looking for. When items get dropped all over the store, it throws off that system pretty quickly. Disney merch It can also make the shopping experience confusing for other guests. Someone might see a product in one spot and assume that’s where it belongs, only to realize later it was misplaced. If you’ve ever gone back to grab something you spotted earlier and suddenly couldn’t find it anywhere, there’s a good chance it got moved. Disney merch The fix here is simple. If you decide not to buy something, just place it back where you picked it up. And if you truly can’t remember where it came from, handing it to a Cast Member at the register is completely fine. They’ll make sure it gets returned to the right spot. It’s a tiny effort on your part, but it helps keep the store organized and makes life a lot easier for the team working there. Waiting Until the Exit to Figure Out Mobile Checkout Now let’s talk about a modern problem that pops up in Disney stores all the time. Many shops across the parks allow guests to use mobile checkout through the My Disney Experience app. It’s a fantastic feature that lets you scan items, pay on your phone, and skip the regular register line. Mobile Checkout at Creations Shop in EPCOT In theory, it’s one of the fastest ways to buy souvenirs. In practice, though, a lot of people wait until they’re standing right at the exit to start the process. You’ve probably seen this happen. Someone steps to the side of the doorway and suddenly starts opening the app, scanning items, entering payment information, and figuring out how it all works. Meanwhile, other guests are trying to leave the store, and Cast Members are waiting to verify the purchase. Mobile Checkout Mobile checkout works best when you start the process while you’re still browsing or at least before you reach the exit. Scan your items as you pick them up. Make sure your payment is ready to go. Then, finalize the purchase before heading toward the door where a Cast Member will check the confirmation screen. When everyone waits until the very last second, the exit area becomes a traffic jam. Using mobile checkout the right way keeps things moving and actually saves you the time it was designed to save in the first place. Mobile Checkout These are small things, but they genuinely make the shopping experience better for everyone involved, including you. And when you’re in a park with thousands of other guests all trying to enjoy their day, the little stuff really does matter. As always, we’re here to help you plan smarter for your next Disney trip, so stay tuned to DisneyFoodBlog for more tips you’ll be glad you knew before you hit the parks. 15. There’s something special about discovering Disney magic where you least expect it, like surrounded by taxis, towering buildings, and theatregoers right in the middle of Times Square. New York City has countless sights to see, with iconic spots like the Statue of Liberty, Central Park, the Brooklyn Bridge, or the Metropolitan Museum of Art, but any Disney fan in the city should have Disney Store Times Square on their list of must-visit destinations. I shared my experience shopping at Disney Store Times Square during the holiday season, and am excited to now have a space for anyone browsing Disney Parks Blog to discover all the details about the store’s new product arrivals, upcoming events, and more. Visiting Disney Store Times Square Disney Store Times Square is located in the heart of Manhattan, just steps from the Great White Way, so it is easily accessible if you’re seeing a show (bonus points if it is a current Disney on Broadway production). The two-story space is full of enchantment everywhere you look with overflowing shelves of products, immersive displays, and friendly cast members bringing the spirit of Disney to the Big Apple. Walking into the store feels like stepping out of the concrete jungle and into a storybook – you are immediately transported to a world where familiar characters and stories meet the creativity and charm of NYC. Classic Mickey Mouse and Minnie Mouse plush embrace their status as city symbols, and you can find iconography like pretzels, taxis, and even some of those quintessential landmarks I mentioned across merchandise. Disney Store Times Square is more than a regular retail space or a way to keep the magic alive between vacations; it is a one-of-a-kind celebration of Disney storytelling in one of the world’s most iconic, fast-paced places. For fans (like me) looking to blend their love of both Disney and New York City, this is truly the perfect place to shop. Disney Store Times Square Exclusive Products The exclusive merchandise available here makes Disney Store Times Square an even more exciting destination for dedicated Disney fans and passionate collectors. Items you won’t find anywhere else, like limited edition pins and plush, are designed specifically with this city in mind, capturing the electric essence of New York and allowing you to take home a memorable souvenir. NYC Snow Globes Snow globes are always one of my favorite souvenirs to shop for when I’m traveling – it’s so fun to display them at home and be reminded of all the places I’ve been. These mini snow globes are the perfect way to commemorate your next trip to NYC, showing Minnie Mouse as Lady Liberty and Mickey Mouse soaking up the city, both surrounded by sparkling gold glitter. NYC Pins If you’re an avid pin trader and collector, the Times Square exclusive enamel pins are definitely the first item you should have on your wish list. The Minnie Mouse as Lady Liberty Pin depicts this icon against a shimmering blue background studded with stars, her torch held high. And the Mickey Mouse Marathon Pin showing Mickey alongside the sunny skyline is another favorite of mine! I’m looking forward to seeing these pins (and many others) at the Retro Pin Event being held at Disney Store Times Square later this month. Disney Wishables Shimmer New York City Series I’ve been a longtime lover of Wishables, so as soon as I saw these ones exclusive to Disney Store Times Square start to go viral on TikTok, I knew I needed to secure a box (or several). The mystery boxes contain one of five mini plush variants, including Mickey Mouse (holding a hot dog, of course), Minnie Mouse as Lady Liberty, a classic yellow taxicab, an apple (wearing a Mickey Mouse Ear Hat), and a pizza slice (my personal favorite NYC symbol and food item). NYC Plush Maybe mini mystery plush aren’t your style, but perhaps these Mickey Mouse ”I NY” and Minnie Mouse “Lady Liberty” plush are more your speed. Lady Liberty Minnie Mouse is one of the most popular products sold at Disney Store Times Square, and naturally I think you should take Mickey Mouse (who is dressed for a day exploring the city) home as well to complete this perfect pairing. The small versions of these plush are exclusive to the store in Times Square, but other sizes are available to purchase on DisneyStore.com. More NYC-Themed Merch from Disney Store Wanting to get a taste of the city but not able to visit in-store? You can find select NYC-inspired designs available to purchase on DisneyStore.com, in addition to Disney Store Times Square! Show off your New York spirit in style with apparel and accessories inspired by the skyline views and endless energy of the Big Apple, no matter where you call home. NYC Crewneck Sweatshirts This Minnie Mouse Statue of Liberty Pullover Sweatshirt for Women has me dreaming of chilly fall days in Central Park. The front has a simple design but makes way for a truly show-stopping image of Minnie Mouse as Lady Liberty covering the back. And there’s more where this came from – the Mickey Mouse Pullover Sweatshirt for Men is another comfy cozy option. NYC T-Shirts I often enjoy sprinkling a bit of Disney magic into my office outfits, and I can already see myself styling this T-shirt featuring Minnie Mouse as Lady Liberty with a blazer. Other tees you can shop for on DisneyStore.com include the Mickey Mouse and Friends V-Neck Fashion T-Shirt for Women, Mickey Mouse T-Shirt for Men, and Mickey Mouse T-Shirt for Kids – so there’s something for the whole family or friend group! 17. We’re dedicated festival-goers in Disney World, which means we’re there on opening day for each EPCOT festival. Welcome to the festival! Recently, we kicked off the 2026 EPCOT International Flower & Garden Festival with our whole team. We ate at EVERY food booth, trying dozens of new items and many returning favorites, and all in all, we spent $767.80 just to dine around the park. Along the way, we learned some important things! What We Spent When we visit EPCOT for festivals, we typically aim to eat at every food booth around the festival. Most of the time, these booths have new items for us to try, but occasionally we visit a spot where we’re just eating the same old favorites from years past. Even when booths have new items, we sometimes order the returning items in addition to the new — just to see how they stack up or if they’ve changed at all. Farmers Feast This year, that added up to 94 individual items across 31 different locations around EPCOT. That’s a LOT of snacking! With our whole team, it took about 7.5 hours to get all those locations accomplished, in addition to the other entertainment, activities, and sights that the festival has to offer. We were hustling, y’all. Fleur de Lys Full Spread With 94 different items and a total of $767.80 spent, that’s an average cost of $8.16 per item. The most expensive thing we had was the English Garden for $17.50 at Yorkshire County Fish Shop, and the cheapest was the Lemon Tart for $4.49 from The Citrus Blossom. Lemon Tart If you’re heading to the festival, you can expect to spend on average $6-$10 each for the food items, $6 for a 6-oz pour of a beer, cider, or ale, and between $11-$15 for the specialty cocktails. Keeping those numbers in mind will help you budget wisely. What We Learned First, it’s important to note that not every food or drink item is worth the cost. Depending on your personal tastes and the quality of the items, you may not actually want to pay to eat at every food booth when you visit, and that’s totally okay. We typically advise people to look at the menus, check out our Best of the Fest list (we publish one after every festival; you can see the Flower & Garden one here!), and make a short checklist of items your family must-try. Let’s eat! If each person in your party is getting an individual budget, you could add that to a Disney gift card. At each EPCOT festival, you can purchase reloadable gift cards on wristbands, so they’re easily accessible when you’re going from booth to booth. You can also buy gift cards in advance from places like Sam’s, Costco, or Target to get a discount! Flower and Garden Gift Card! A big warning for your budget is that eating around an EPCOT festival can quickly become more expensive than eating in the other parks. The food dishes are designed to be small plates so you can order more items, and often, ordering 2-3 festival items is more expensive than ordering ONE entree from a Disney World quick service spot. Drinks can also get pretty pricey, with some higher costs on those specialty alcoholic drinks. Stitch However, the Flower & Garden Festival can be a great deal financially if you’re on the Disney Dining Plan using snack credits. Many of the food booth items are redeemable for one Dining Plan snack credit, and if the item costs more than $8-$9, it would be a GREAT use of a snack credit. Jardin de Fiestas Outdoor Kitchen 2026 At the end of the day, we choose to spend the big bucks on day one of the fest so that we can relay all the best times and honest reviews to you guys! By spending opening day hustling through the park, we are able to provide valuable EPCOT festival info for our readers so they can have the best visit possible. That’s what we do, and we love it! 20. When noon hits, Disney experts shift into a whole new Disney Parks game plan. Walt Disney World If you’ve spent any time trying to “do it all” in Disney World, you already know that timing is everything. While rope drop and late-night hours tend to dominate best Disney times discourse, there’s one sneaky time of day that seasoned Disney pros absolutely love to take advantage of: 12 PM. 12 PM offers a window of time for some theme park planning adjustments that are excellent game-changers. Here are four habits expert Disney fans practice at noon that can seriously level up your park day. Get On Rides While Everyone Else Eats Let’s start with the big one. Around noon, a huge portion of park guests start migrating toward food. Mobile order windows fill up, dining reservations check in, and quick-service locations get slammed. Woody’s Lunchbox Meanwhile, ride wait times often dip or — at the very least — plateau into something way more consistent. Noon is one of the best times to get into lines of popular attractions that might have shorter waits than you might expect. TRON Lightcycle / Run It’s not quite rope drop-level efficiency, but it’s one of the best lesser-known windows of the day to knock out a few rides without dealing with peak lines. Seven Dwarfs Mine Train Wait Time They Skip Lunch (For Now) This one might sound a little wild, but the worst time to eat lunch in Disney World is
 well
lunch time. Cosmic Ray’s Starlight Cafe Between 11:30 AM and 1:30 PM, quick-service restaurants are at their busiest. Mobile order return times can get pushed way out, seating is hard to find, and everything just feels way too hectic. Lunch Crowds Disney experts either eat early or they wait. By holding off until 2 PM or even later, you’ll find shorter lines, easier seating, and a much more relaxed dining experience. Plus, if you followed that first tip, you just spent the lunch rush getting more done than the average guest. Do a Quick Reset Check Midday in Central Florida is no joke. It’s super hot, sticky, and your body may be begging for a break. Many Disney experts use 12 PM as a chance to go over a mental checklist. Roy and Minnie Noon is a great time to reapply sunscreen, make sure you’re hydrated, and possibly take a break in some AC or shade. Air conditioning! These quick resets can make the difference between powering through the afternoon or completely burning out before it even gets dark. It’s not the most glamorous strategy, but it’s easily one of the smartest. Consider a Resort Break Leaving the parks is not something everyone thinks to do, and it’s also not something that’ll make you feel good about getting your money’s worth. With that said, by noon, you’ve likely already accomplished a lot, especially if you started your day early. You deserve some rest. Disney’s Port Orleans — Riverside Resort Crowds are peaking, temperatures are rising, and energy levels are starting to dip. Instead of fighting it, know your limits. Heading back to the resort for a nap, a swim, or even just some quiet time can completely reset your day. The Big Blue Pool You’ll come back in the evening refreshed, recharged, and ready to take advantage of lower wait times and nighttime entertainment. Fireworks Sometimes, the best Disney hack isn’t about doing more — it’s about doing something different than everyone else. What are some of YOUR best 12 PM tips? 21. Well, we’ve got a word of warning if you have plans to stay at Disney’s Wilderness Lodge. Wilderness Lodge Boat Transportation Now, there are a lot of benefits of staying at a Disney World property, but one of the best perks is the transportation that can take you to and from the parks and Disney Springs. However, you can’t always count on a specific mode of transportation to be available during your trips. If you happen to be visiting Disney’s Wilderness Lodge soon, you’ll find that one mode of transportation will be unavailable for a short time. The boat dock at Disney’s Wilderness Lodge is undergoing some routine maintenance. We last saw the boat service to Magic Kingdom suspended from January 12th through January 30th. Well, Disney has plans to do even more maintenance at the boat dock, and it will be closed with boat transportation suspended from April 13th through May 1st. The maintenance to the dock itself will last through late July 2026, but you should be able to use the boat transportation as of May 2nd. All subject to change, of course! Boat dock at Disney’s Wilderness Lodge So if you were counting on taking that mode of transportation to Magic Kingdom, Disney’s Fort Wilderness Resort and Campground, or Disney’s Contemporary Resort during that time, you’re just out of luck. However, you will still be able to get to your destination via alternative transportation, aka Disney buses. So you might not get the most SCENIC route to Magic Kingdom, but you’ll still be able to get there, and that’s what counts, right? Wilderness Lodge Bus stop Note that you cannot get direct bus transportation from Wilderness Lodge to the Contemporary, but you can take the bus to Magic Kingdom and hop on the Monorail to get to the Contemporary, so keep that in mind if you’ll be traveling between hotels. We’ll keep an eye out for more closures in Disney World, so stay tuned to DFB for more. 8 Disney World Hotels That Will ALWAYS Crack Down on the Parking Rules Join the DFB Newsletter to get all the breaking news right in your inbox! 23. If your Disney era is less “princess dress at the park” and more “vintage tee that makes people stop and ask where you got it,” then BoxLunch has been quietly winning lately. ©BoxLunch We’ve been seeing some seriously good ’70s-inspired Disney shirts making the rounds, and we have to talk about them. Whether you’re heading to the parks or just living your best Disney Adult life at brunch, these are the ones worth adding to your cart. DISCLOSURE: This post may contain affiliate links, meaning when you click the links and make a purchase, we receive a commission. Check out this Aristocats tee ©BoxLunch The Disney The Aristocats Kittens Embroidered Women’s T-Shirt is basically the definition of cute-meets-classic Disney style. Instead of a big, bold graphic, this shirt keeps things soft and delicate. Marie, Toulouse, and Berlioz appear in an adorable little embroidered scene that feels more like boutique artwork than traditional merch. The details are what really make it stand out. Tiny florals, sweet dessert accents, and other dainty touches give the design a subtle Parisian vibe that totally fits the world of The Aristocats. Even the lettering feels understated, which helps the whole shirt look a little more elevated than the average character tee. This is the kind of shirt you could easily wear to brunch, throw on with a cardigan, or style for a casual Disney Parks outfit without it feeling overly themed. It’s soft, feminine, and just a little bit fancy in the best way. view ON AMAZON Grab this chaotic Joanna tee ©BoxLunch Now, if you want something that screams nostalgia in a completely different way, the Disney The Rescuers Down Under Joanna the Goanna Tie-Dye T-Shirt is a deep cut that longtime Disney fans immediately recognize. First of all, Joanna is front and center here, which already makes this a pretty niche pick in the Disney world. If you grew up watching The Rescuers Down Under on repeat, you probably already know exactly why this shirt is so perfect. The artwork leans hard into a colorful, retro illustration style with bold character expressions and bright pops of color. Joanna looks appropriately chaotic while Bernard, Bianca, and Jake join the scene, making the whole graphic feel energetic and a little wild. The tie-dye base really completes the throwback look. The pastel color blend gives it that vintage “festival tee” energy that feels like something you could’ve discovered in an old thrift shop. It’s playful, loud, and very much an “if you know, you know” kind of Disney shirt. view ON AMAZON Don’t skip this Robin Hood classic ©BoxLunch For fans of the 1973 animated classic, the Disney Robin Hood Group Portrait T-Shirt is one of those designs that feels instantly nostalgic. This shirt features several of the film’s most beloved characters together. Robin Hood and Little John are front and center, with other familiar faces from Nottingham joining the lineup. The entire design sits beneath a bold Robin Hood title that has that slightly weathered, vintage print texture. That distressed look is what gives the shirt its retro personality. Instead of feeling brand new, it almost looks like something pulled straight from the ’70s. If you’re the kind of Disney fan who still finds yourself humming “Oo-de-lally” whenever someone mentions the movie, this one might be calling your name. view ON AMAZON This retro Muppets tee is a vibe ©BoxLunch Then there’s the Disney The Muppets Retro Muppet Poster Mineral Wash T-Shirt, which might be one of the most authentic-looking throwback designs of the bunch. The mineral wash fabric gives the shirt that faded charcoal look that instantly makes it feel lived in. It has the kind of texture that feels like you’ve owned it for years, even if you just grabbed it yesterday. Front and center is a poster-style graphic featuring several of the most iconic Muppets. Kermit, Fozzie, Gonzo, and Animal all appear inside colorful bordered frames that feel like they came straight out of a vintage TV promo poster. It’s playful, nostalgic, and honestly perfect for anyone who grew up quoting The Muppet Movie or watching the classic variety show chaos unfold. And yes, it absolutely looks like something you’d steal from the cool relative in your family who had impeccable taste in 70s pop culture. view ON AMAZON We’re always on the hunt for the latest and greatest Disney souvenirs and essentials, so don’t forget to stay tuned to the Disney Food Blog for more! 24. A popular Magic Kingdom ride has been closed since the end of last summer, and we’re eager to ride it again! ©Disney Buzz Lightyear’s Space Ranger Spin is set to reopen on April 8th with a BUNCH of changes. We’ll be getting new blasters, new ride scenes, a new character, and more. And ahead of the reopening, Disney has shared the first look inside the ride! Then, we got a peek at the NEW handheld blasters. Unlike the old version of the ride, you can remove these from their holster for better aiming. They come in red and green. ©Disney After that, we get a look at some of the ride scenes with the new, interactive targets. You aim your blaster dot at the middle of the target, then shoot. When you hit the target, it’ll light up, and you’ll know you scored! ©Disney The video notes that there are specialty targets throughout the ride — if they look different than the regular ones, aim for them! These targets will score you MORE points! ©Disney And finally, we got a sneak peek at the new scoreboard! It looks like the requirements have changed slightly to become a Galactic Hero. Previously, this ride maxed out at 999,999, but now you can score more than 1 million! You’ll have to earn at least ONE point more to make the threshold of Galactic Hero, now. (This scoring system is more similar to the Disneyland version of the ride.) ©Disney We can’t wait to check it out for ourselves soon! We’ll be taking you along with us, so follow us on social media to see all the updates. For more Disney news, subscribe to our newsletter and our YouTube channel.
