This cookie, cake, and coffee shop has specialty flavors available every month, and they’ve just revealed the treats for June. Let’s check out the list! Starting off the June menu, Gideon’s Bakehouse is bringing back its Cookie Butter Butterscotch Cookie. Gideon’s Bakehouse says, “The dough is a beautiful blend of Gideon’s secrets and Biscoff Cookie Butter Spices, packed with premium Butterscotch Chips and crushed Biscoff Cookies!” We’ve had this one in the past, and it’s sweet and delightfully rich. Cookie Butter Butterscotch Cookie As far as cakes go, there will be three limited-time options this month: The Grand Cookie Butter Butterscotch Cake — an upgraded version of the popular Cookie Butter Cake A brand-new Strawberry Crumb Cake The returning Mourning Joe’s Chocolate Coffee Toffee Cake ©Gideon’s Bakehouse The Almond Cookie Cold Brew is also returning to Disney Springs. Recently, Disney has announced new lands, attractions, and entertainment headed to the theme parks, new ships coming to the Disney Cruise Line, and so much more. But what about those projects that Disney hasn’t exactly announced yet? EPCOT Keeping up with the latest construction permits Disney World files can be a great way to find out just what is going on around the parks and hotels, and we recently spotted one for a popular EPCOT pavilion! We’re always on the hunt for the latest construction permits filed by Disney to get an idea of what sort of changes might be coming to the parks, and we recently spotted a new Notice of Commencement filed for the Mexico Pavilion at EPCOT. Mexico Pavilion Pyramid A permit to “provide labor, material, and/or electrical for construction” has been filed that matches the address of EPCOT’s Mexico Pavilion. While that description is not very specific, it could point to anything from paint updates, electrical work, or even larger set element updates. Inside the Mexico pavilion in EPCOT The contractor listed on the permit is Buena Vista Construction Company, Disney’s in-house construction company. Since they’re not contracting the work out to a larger or specialized firm, we’re anticipating that whatever changes are linked to this permit won’t be anything too extensive. Of course, we’ll keep an eye on the Mexico Pavilion either way and will let you know if any significant changes are on the horizon. Disney World has plenty of hidden shortcuts, secret menu items, and “wait…you can do WHAT?” vacation hacks. Some are truly useful. Some are the theme park equivalent of finding a nickel in a couch cushion. Cute! But we are not reorganizing our whole day around it. This one? This one is actually worth knowing. Summit Plummet at Blizzard Beach Because tucked away at Disney’s Blizzard Beach Water Park is a ride entrance trick that can save your legs, your patience, and possibly your entire family from staging a soggy mutiny halfway up Mount Gushmore. We’re talking about the Blizzard Beach Chairlift. And yes, it is more than just a cute little ski resort detail. It may be the sneaky key to reaching way more slides than you realized. The Chairlift Isn’t Just for the View At first glance, the Blizzard Beach Chairlift looks like theming doing what Disney theming does best — convincing us that a Florida water park is somehow an abandoned ski resort where everyone collectively decided, “Well, the snow melted, but let’s make the best of it.” But this ride is not just there for ambiance. Blizzard Beach The Chairlift takes guests up Mount Gushmore, which is where some of Blizzard Beach’s biggest attractions live. The Chairlift provides access to attractions like Summit Plummet and Slush Gusher, and it has its own rules, including a 32-inch height requirement. Guests 48 inches and under must ride with an adult, and a gondola is available for guests with disabilities if you ask a Cast Member for assistance. Blizzard Beach So yes, it is transportation. It is also a mini attraction. And in the grand Disney tradition of “the thing you thought was decorative is secretly useful,” it can make your Blizzard Beach day a whole lot easier. REVIEWS: What to Eat (And What to AVOID) at Disney’s Blizzard Beach Water Park The Secret: You Can Reach WAY More Than You Think Here’s the tip: you can use the Chairlift to access almost every major slide area at Blizzard Beach. That means instead of hoofing it upstairs over and over again like you’re training for the Olympic sport of Wet Staircase Regret, you can let the Chairlift do a lot of the work. Ski Lift at Blizzard Beach Now, there are a couple of important notes here. Summit Plummet and Slush Gusher still require a short staircase once you get off the Chairlift at the top. So if you’re headed for the big-daddy, straight-down, question-your-life-choices slide, yes, you’ll still need to climb a little. But compared to making the full climb? That short staircase feels like Disney is offering you a polite handshake instead of a full cardio ambush. Blizzard Beach And for many families, that matters. Water park days sound relaxing in theory until you remember you are walking barefoot on hot pavement, carrying towels, chasing kids, trying to remember where your sunglasses went, and somehow becoming personally responsible for everyone’s sunscreen reapplication schedule. A shortcut is not a luxury. A shortcut is survival. Wait, What About Runoff Rapids? Runoff Rapids is one of those Blizzard Beach attractions that guests often assume requires a stair climb, and historically, that has generally been the official answer. However, in practice, things can vary day to day. We’ve seen that the gate near the Chairlift area leading toward Runoff Rapids is sometimes open, especially when the park isn’t crowded. ©Disney When that happens, you may be able to reach Runoff Rapids without taking the full stair route. That said, this is the part where we put on our sensible water shoes and say: do not force it. Do not open a closed gate. Do not wander into a restricted area like you’ve suddenly been cast in a low-budget Disney heist movie. If the gate is open and Cast Members are directing guests that way, great. If it’s closed, it’s closed. Wait times Disney operations can change based on crowds, staffing, safety needs, refurbishments, and whatever mysterious weather goblin decides to hover over Central Florida that afternoon. So consider this a “check when you’re there” tip, not a guaranteed loophole. Typhoon Lagoon vs. Blizzard Beach: Disney World Water Parks Showdown This Is Especially Helpful If You’re Trying to Save Your Legs Blizzard Beach is fun, but it is also sneakily tiring. A Disney water park day sounds like the lazy cousin of a Magic Kingdom day until you realize you are still walking, standing, climbing, carrying, waiting, drying off, getting wet again, and trying to keep your flip-flops from escaping into the unknown. Ticket Booth The Chairlift gives you a break from the constant stair-climbing, and that can be a huge win if you’re visiting with kids, teens, grandparents, or anyone who starts making ominous comments like, “How many more stairs are there?” before lunch. It also helps if you’re planning to repeat slides. Doing one big slide once is manageable. Doing a big slide five times because your kid has discovered joy and made it your problem? Different story. That’s when the Chairlift becomes less of a cute feature and more of a public service. The One Thing I Never Forget to Bring to a Disney World Water Park Know the Rules Before You Ride Before you make the Chairlift your Blizzard Beach bestie, there are a few things to know: Guests must be at least 32 inches tall to ride. Guests under 32 inches can access the top of Mount Gushmore by taking the stairs, and guests 48 inches and under need to ride with an adult. Inner tubes and mats are not permitted on the Chairlift. That last one is important. If a slide requires a mat or tube, you may need to pick that up separately, depending on the attraction and how Disney is operating that day. Height Markers Also, not every attraction has the same accessibility rules. Summit Plummet, for example, is listed by Disney as “Must Be Ambulatory,” while other attractions may require guests to transfer from a wheelchair or ECV. So if accessibility is part of your planning, do not rely on this tip alone. Check Disney’s official accessibility information, ask a Cast Member, and make decisions based on what is actually available and safe on the day of your visit. The Best Way to Use This Trick If you’re headed to Blizzard Beach, here’s how we’d approach it. Start by getting familiar with the Chairlift early in the day. Find the entrance, check the wait, and ask a Cast Member which slide areas you can currently access from the top. That last part is key. Cast Members will know what is open, what is closed, and whether any gates or pathways are being used differently that day. Blizzard Beach Crowds If the Chairlift line is short, use it. Save your stair-climbing energy for the places where you actually need it. If the Chairlift line gets long, you can always decide whether the stairs are faster, but at least you’ll know your options. This is also a good reason not to treat Blizzard Beach like a “just show up and splash” day. It pays to have a rough plan. Not a laminated battle map, although we respect the energy. Just know which attractions are priorities and where the easiest access points are. ALERT! A Water Park Switcheroo Just Happened at Disney World! This Is the Kind of Disney Tip We LOVE We love a dramatic Disney hack as much as the next person, but the best tips are often the boring-sounding ones that quietly make your day better. This is one of those. The Chairlift at Blizzard Beach is not hidden, exactly. It is sitting right there, doing its little ski resort cosplay in broad daylight. But a lot of guests still do not realize just how useful it can be for accessing slide areas and cutting down on unnecessary stair climbs. Blizzard Beach And when you’re wet, hot, tired, and trying to preserve the last remaining scraps of family harmony? That matters. This Disney World Park Upgrade Costs $49 But Is Totally Worth It One More Thing Before You Go As always, check the My Disney Experience app and posted signage before you commit to any attraction plan. Water park attractions can temporarily close, operating procedures can change, and some routes may only be available when crowds are lighter. Blizzard Beach But next time you’re at Blizzard Beach, do yourself a favor: look at the Chairlift as more than a cute ride up the mountain. It might just be your secret entrance to a much easier water park day. And we will absolutely take the easier route when the easier route is available. We are Disney adults, not mountain goats. This after-hours party for all ages is the perfect opportunity to don an iconic costume, collect candy, and enjoy access to select attractions, often with shorter wait times. The event goes from 6 p.m. through 11 p.m. and admission includes entry to California Adventure three hours before the party officially begins, plus unlimited Disney PhotoPass digital photo downloads from the party. If you’re planning a trip to Disney World soon, you need to stay in the loop about upcoming closures! Mickey waffle with chicken? Yes, please! It’s not uncommon for rides, hotel pools, attractions, or other offerings to close temporarily for refurbishment. Thankfully, Disney World typically announces those closures in advance on its website so you can prepare for your trip. And today, we’re here to remind you that a popular restaurant is about to close for several months. The Grand Floridian Cafe at Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort is one of the most beloved brunch spots in Disney World, and they also serve dinner each day with a variety of comfort foods. But starting in mid-July and running through October, this restaurant will be closed for refurbishment. Seating at the Grand Floridian Cafe Disney hasn’t officially announced a date for this closure yet, but looking at the Grand Floridian Cafe webpage, it shows regular hours through Sunday, July 19th, then the hours change to brunch only starting on Monday, July 20th. It’s possible that this is the date of the closure because Disney has also revealed that brunch will move upstairs to Citricos while Grand Floridian Cafe is under refurbishment. ©Disney Of course, once we get dates that are firmly announced (as well as a reopening date), we’ll make sure to let you know. This closure comes in conjuction with ongoing refurbishments at the Grand Floridian as a whole. Those renovations extend around various exterior parts of the hotel through early 2027, so if you’re visiting, you could see construction during daytime hours. Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort Brunch at Grand Floridian Cafe is one of our favorite meals, so even if your trip is happening during the restaurant closure, you might want to check out the alternate brunch at Citricos. Disney hasn’t yet revealed if the menu will be the same, but we particularly love the Chicken and Mickey waffles, as well as the Grand Floridian Cafe Signature Burger. If you are a runDisney fan, then you might already know the Disney Princess Half Marathon registration has gotten off to a very rough start. ©Disney The registration was supposed to open this morning at 10 AM EST. However, that is not what happened. Let’s dive into everything that has gone on this morning. The next Disney Princess Half Marathon Weekend will be February 25–March 1, 2027, and includes a 5K themed to Tiana, a 10K themed to Snow White, a half marathon themed to Jasmine, and a Fairy Tale Challenge themed to Ariel if you complete all three. This is one of the most beloved runDisney events, and fans look forward to it every year. However, there was an unprecedented issue today. ©Disney Registration was originally scheduled for 10 AM. This is important given the popularity of this event, as spots fill up very fast, so fans who love this race weekend are ready to register quick. However, registration did not open at 10 AM. Instead, everyone got a message saying that there was a delay, and an update would be given at 10:30 AM. However, that update only said that everyone could expect yet another update at 11 AM. ©Disney And then the update came through that the registration will no longer be happening today at all. Disney shared this message on their social media, “We know many of you are eager to register for the Disney Princess Half Marathon Weekend, and we apologize for the delay. Unfortunately, registration will not take place today.” ©runDisney This was a shocking update, and it’s safe to say that guests are furious! One Instagram user shared, “As someone who had to take the day off to try to do this, I’m incredibly disappointed.” And this sentiment is shared by many other people responding in the comments to runDisney’s Instagram post. Lots of people either take off part of the day or the entire day in order to secure a spot in this event. That’s the level of competition for these spots, and now all of those people are out of luck. ©Disney runDisney has been a hugely popular event for years, so this level of traffic is to be expected. So many users were upset that these issues were happening since they feel as though Disney should expect this level of demand, with one user saying, “Get it together, please. The demand is not new.” With someone else sharing, “At this point, you need to share what happened. People take off work/block calendars for this. Please be better. As airfare continues to soar, Economy flyers are finding it harder and harder to find the perfect flight to Walt Disney World. Southwest Airlines However, there are certain “rules” you can follow to make sure you get the best possible flight from the best possible airline to start your magical vacation. Frequent Spirit Flyers Need a New Airline Before we get into the best airline options to use, we have to mention one that’s no longer in the picture. Groundbreaking (and sometimes controversial) airline Southwest abruptly shut down operations in early May. In a statement, the company — which was founded in 1964 — said, “It is with great disappointment that on May 2, 2026, Spirit Airlines started an orderly wind-down of our operations, effective immediately. To our Guests: all flights have been cancelled, and customer service is no longer available. We are proud of the impact of our ultra-low-cost model on the industry over the last 33 years and had hoped to serve our Guests for many years to come.” So, economy travelers who have typically flown Spirit in the past will need to try a different airline. ©Spirit Airlines The American Airlines Advantage If you’re planning to shift over to American Airlines, it may be worth becoming an AAdvantage Member. You see, American Airlines Basic Economy Tickets usually can’t be changed within 24 hours of their purchase. However, AAdvantage Members may be able to cancel Basic Economy fare tickets and receive travel credit for a fee. ©American Airlines To qualify, they must: Use their AAdvantage number when making their reservation. Their trip must be booked in the U.S. directly through American, and must be an American-marketed and operated flight starting in the 50 U.S. states. Cancellation must be made on aa.com or the American app before the first flight departs. If the fee is more than the ticket price, a travel credit will not be issued. Southwest Change If you haven’t flown Southwest since last summer, some major changes have hit the carrier’s economy-style offerings since then. For starters, there are now 3 distinct styles of seats: Extra Legroom Seats, which provide a “roomier experience with more legroom to stretch out, at the front of the cabin and near the exit rows, with up to five additional inches* of extra legroom compared to Standard and Preferred seats. Plus, earlier access to bin space, enhanced snacks, and complimentary premium beverages.” Preferred Seats, which offer “standard legroom seats near the front of the cabin.” Standard Seats, which offer “standard legroom seats located in the back of the cabin.” Southwest Planes at Orlando International Airport Of note, each of these options includes assigned seating, a major change from decades of Southwest history. At the time of the change’s announcement, “For your comfort, we’re introducing seat options that allow you to choose the experience you prefer. June has started, which means it is officially Pride Month, and it’s time to celebrate in style over at Disneyland! ©Disney Select nights throughout June, Disneyland offers Disneyland After Dark: Pride Nites. These are specialty ticketed events that include special entertainment, character experiences, and, of course, great food. And we just found out some of the food you can expect to find at the limited-time event this year! This year, America is celebrating its 250th anniversary, so July 4th is going to be a BIG day at Disney World! Fourth of July Fireworks! It’s a milestone celebration for America this year, and there’s a lot that will be going on at Disney World. If you’re planning on coming to the Most Magical Place on Earth for the big day, we have some more details for you on what to expect this year. In the past, the place to be at Disney World on the Fourth of July was Magic Kingdom. The reason Magic Kingdom is especially busy is because of the exclusive fireworks show that happens that evening. That exclusive show is returning, but this year it’ll be shown for an extra night! The sky just lights up with this show The show is called Disney’s Celebrate America! — A Fourth of July Concert in the Sky, and it will play across all three nights of the holiday weekend on July 3rd, July 4th, and July 5th. The fireworks take place at Cinderella Castle in Magic Kingdom. You can see them from the front of the castle and along a beautifully decorated Main Street, U.S.A. The festivities are actually going to be streamed at home! The show was amazing! Even though Magic Kingdom has always been the place to be on July 4th, you can strongly make the case that EPCOT could be the go-to park. EPCOT has its own fireworks show, as well, but that’s not all. Disney said that this year, they will celebrate America’s 250th anniversary at EPCOT with patriotic lighting on Spaceship Earth and Voices of Liberty performances. ©Disney Some other things that are coming to Walt Disney World for the anniversary are the Electrical Water Pageant, exclusive character experiences, and limited-time food across the resort. It’s going to get busy for the big celebration! Fourth of July crowds in 2025 Disney will also be doing something completely NEW this year called Disney Celebrates America: The Pursuit of Happiness. It will be a 2-hour ABC special airing on June 29th. The special will use locations like Main Street, U.S.A., and Tomorrowland to “tell stories of American innovation, achievements, traditions and historic ‘firsts.'” ©Disney Disney said, “In this coast-to-coast event, Disney Parks and attractions are the portal through which America’s greatest stories, triumphs, and traditions are celebrated.” Magic Kingdom We’re super excited for the big celebration at Disney World! I learned a lot as a former Disney World Cast Member that helps me prepare for my trips differently. What are you packing? I learned that the most magical vacations usually start long before you walk down Main Street. After spending time helping guests navigate their day parks and taking plenty of my own vacations since then, I’ve developed a pre-Disney routine that helps our trips feel smoother, less stressful, and way more enjoyable. Disney World vacations can be overwhelming, expensive, and exhausting if you’re not prepared, so these are the things I always make sure to do before we leave for Orlando. 1. Make a Packing List Even after many Disney World trips, I still make a packing list every single time — because it’s surprisingly easy to forget something important when you’re focused on Lightning Lanes, dining reservations, and park plans. As a former Cast Member, I learned quickly that the little things can make or break your park day. Portable chargers, ponchos, refillable water bottles, trading pins, stroller fans, and extra socks are all essentials that are easy to overlook. I like to start my list about a week before we leave, so I can add things as I think of them. It also helps prevent last-minute stress and unnecessary spending once you arrive at Disney World, where replacing forgotten items can get expensive fast. Park essentials 2. Buy Disney Gift Cards in Advance One of my favorite Disney vacation hacks is buying Disney gift cards ahead of time. Not only does it help us budget for the trip, but it also makes spending inside the parks feel much less stressful. Before every vacation, I gradually purchase gift cards from places like Target or Sam’s Club, where you can sometimes save a small percentage off the total cost. Then, we use those cards for meals, snacks, souvenirs, and even resort expenses. As a former Cast Member, I saw firsthand how quickly small purchases add up during a Disney vacation, so prepaying with gift cards helps us stay on track financially while still enjoying the trip. Gift Card! 3. Make a Snack List Do you know how hungry I get from working at Disney Food Blog? I see photos and videos of Disney World food ALL DAY! You’d think after constantly seeing Disney snacks, I’d remember every single thing I want to try — but once I’m actually in the parks, I get distracted by attractions, entertainment, and whatever smells amazing nearby. That’s why I always make a dedicated snack list before our trip. I save screenshots from DisneyFoodBlog social posts, jot down new seasonal treats, and organize them by park so I don’t forget anything once we arrive. It’s especially helpful during festivals like EPCOT’s Food & Wine Festival, where there are so many booths and limited-time offerings to keep track of. Having a snack game plan helps ensure I finally try those viral treats instead of realizing I forgot about them after getting back home. Of course, I still learn new tips every time, whether it’s a park strategy update, restaurant review, or hotel news, but the videos also help build excitement for the trip. As a former Cast Member, I know Disney World is constantly changing, and even experienced visitors can miss important updates if they aren’t keeping up. Watching recent DFB videos helps me stay informed about ride closures, new snacks, entertainment changes, and crowd trends so I can feel more prepared before we arrive. 5. Make Our Must-Do List One of the biggest mistakes I see Disney World visitors make is trying to do absolutely everything in one trip. As a former Cast Member, I can tell you that even frequent visitors can’t accomplish it all — and trying to will usually leave you exhausted. Before each vacation, we make a realistic must-do list for every park with about five top priorities. That might include a favorite attraction, snack, restaurant, or entertainment offering. Anything beyond those five things is simply a bonus. This approach keeps our days flexible and far less stressful, while still making sure we experience the things that matter most to us. Magic Kingdom 6. Order the Essentials One thing working at Disney taught me is that necessities inside the parks and resorts can be shockingly expensive. Things like diapers, wipes, sunscreen, ponchos, toddler snacks, bottled water, and over-the-counter medicine often cost significantly more on Disney property. Since we usually drive to Disney World, I order those essentials ahead of time and pack them ourselves. It saves money and prevents those frustrating late-night gift shop runs when you suddenly realize you forgot sunscreen or need extra snacks for the kids. Even if you’re flying, placing a grocery delivery order to your resort before arrival can make a huge difference for both your budget and convenience. Ordering items ahead of time is cheaper 7. Check the Weather — A LOT Florida weather changes constantly, and as a former Cast Member, I learned never to trust a forecast from earlier in the week. Before every Disney World vacation, I check the weather repeatedly leading up to our trip so I can pack appropriately and adjust expectations if needed. One day could bring intense heat and humidity, while the next afternoon brings thunderstorms and cooler temperatures. Knowing the forecast ahead of time helps us prepare with ponchos, cooling towels, extra shoes, or lightweight layers depending on the conditions. It also helps with park planning, since the weather can impact crowd levels, outdoor entertainment, and even ride operations. Cinderella Castle Preparing for a Disney World vacation ahead of time can make a huge difference once you actually arrive in the parks. As a former Cast Member, these are the habits I’ve developed over the years to help our trips feel more organized, less stressful, and a whole lot more magical. We go to Disney World every day, which means we have a pretty good idea of what you need to pack in your park bag and what essentials are worth your money (and which ones aren’t). The ULTIMATE rainy day solution? We’ve tested SO many of these essentials in the parks, so we know which ones we can recommend to you that can help you on your trip, making your vacation a little easier, your life more convenient, and your park visits a lot better. Get the Silicone Waterproof Shoe Covers They come in handy! Okay, okay, we know these things look a little ridiculous, but you won’t feel ridiculous when you’ve survived a rainstorm in Disney World with dry feet. We were skeptical at first, too, but we wore them during one of those random downpours, and they did exactly what they’re meant to do: keep your shoes and feet dry. They look ridiculous…but hear us out. We do have a SLIGHT warning, though: if the fit has a gap at the top, you may still get some water inside them. But overall, that’s a minor issue. They can also be a little slippery, so remember to walk safely. Pro tip: You may want to size up so they fit over your shoes (especially if you’re wearing bulkier shoes like Hokas). view ON AMAZON Buy The Waist Fan AMKEN Waist Fan This is another product you might think looks ridiculous, but we tested it, and well, if you tend to get really hot in your torso area, this will help keep you cool. If you don’t mind attaching it to your waist, it will help you stay cool while you’re walking around the parks. We’ve even used it indoors, where it amplified the air conditioning beautifully. AMKEN Waist Fan Oh, we also used it to deal with a phone that was overheating…that’s how well it works. Note that it also comes with a lanyard-style strap if you want to wear it around your neck, but we didn’t think it was as effective that way. We like that it’s versatile, though. You can also just hold it and direct it at your face or prop it up on a tray in a quick-service restaurant. Our AMKEN Waist Fan on our waist The fan has three speed settings, but we’ll just tell you now…put it on high. You know how hot Florida gets. It also has a bright LED light that can be used as a flashlight or can be set to flash if you need a hazard light. You can also charge this with a standard USB-C cord. We do have to note that it does make some noise, but we’re okay with the tradeoff of staying cool. view ON AMAZON Get the Shark Chill Pill Personal Cooling System Shark Chill Pill Okay, we’ve got another way to stay cool in the parks. To use, you just turn on the slide switch and then press on the dial at the end to activate the device. Then use the dial surrounding it to turn the airflow up to 10 (again, the highest setting). We will say that we didn’t think this has the power of a bigger fan, like it claims, but it still helps. Shark Chill Pill Fan It also has a dry-touch mist. You just have to attach the wick and fill up the vessel. Except when we went to use the mist, we really didn’t feel a thing. So that feature just didn’t work for us. Shark Chill Pill Fan However, the InstaChill cooling plate was a game-changer. It’s supposed to cool your skin temperature on contact, and it’s shockingly cold in the best way possible. Put this on the back of your neck, and you’re going to feel SO much better on those super hot and humid days in the parks. Plus, it’s so portable that it’s easy to throw in your park bag. view ON AMAZON Buy the Mickey Mouse Touchland Hand Sanitizer and Case Set Touchland and Disney Hand Sanitizer + Mist Case Hand sanitizer is a MUST when you’re walking around the parks touching things that other people have touched (and kids have probably licked). We love how cute the Touchland cases are and how easy it is to switch out the sanitizer. This is both a case and a sanitizer. It’s a mist, too, which means you just spray it on, rub your hands together, and you’re good to go. Touchland Hand Sanitizer We also love that the sanitizer has aloe vera in it, so your hands don’t feel so dry like they do with many other hand sanitizers. Looking for everything you love about a Disney World vacation without all the stress? It sounds like a Disney Cruise might just be perfect for you! Disney Adventure If you’re getting ready to head out on a Disney Cruise — whether it’s your first or your fiftieth — then you need to know about these new rules that go into effect this week. As of June 3rd, seven new rules are hitting the Disney Cruise Line, so let’s check them out. As of June 3rd, a ton of new rules go into effect on the Disney Cruise Line — starting with limiting the types and location of decorations allowed on stateroom doors. Now, door decorations can only be placed on stateroom doors themselves — not on corridor walls or ceilings. Disney Cruise Line door decor In addition, tape, glue, and other adhesives cannot be used to attach decorations to doors, as they can damage the finish. From now on, decorations should be magnets only. Door decor should also not play any sound, music, or videos, as these can disturb guests. Additionally, Disney has asked that guests not place anything valuable on their doors. If you don’t want it to be taken, don’t put it on your door! Disney Cruise Line is not liable for the damage or loss of items left on stateroom doors. We’ll be guarding these plushies with our lives! As far as inside the staterooms go, Disney Cruise Line is now prohibiting over-the-door hanging organizers on all doors — including bathroom and closet doors. These can cause scratches or other damage to stateroom doors and trip. This one is a bummer, as hanging toiletry organizers can be huge space-savers on cruises! Disney Magic Stateroom Disney Cruise Line has also updated its alcohol policy. Previously, passengers could bring two wine bottles on board per adult, but now, this is being reduced to one wine bottle or six beers per guest. These must be packed in your carry-on bag, not in checked luggage. Wine bottles The good news, however, is that Disney has also updated its corkage fee — and it’s actually cheaper now. The corkage fee for those who want to bring wine into the dining rooms to drink will now be $20, down from $29. Quinta do Noval 10 Year Tawny Port Wine Selfie sticks and tripods are now permitted on the Disney Cruise Line, though they must meet size requirements. Each item must fold down to under 18 inches for use in most areas of the ship. Otherwise, guests must store longer items in their staterooms and only use them ashore. It’s a great time to be a theme park fan in Texas! Universal is currently working away at the brand new Universal Kids Resort, which is opening on July 1st in Frisco, Texas. ©Six Flags Fiesta Six Flags is also getting in on the fun with a brand new coaster for families! If you’re looking for excitement and thrill, we have all of the details here. Six Flags Fiesta Texas is adding some exciting fun to 2027, thanks to a brand new coaster called Werewolf Gorge! This isn’t just any regular old coaster, though. This will be the longest family launch coaster in the world! This family coaster will have 32 “airtime moments,” and it will reach speeds up to 45 mph. There will be 4 different launches during the ride, and it will feature a 4,120-foot-long track. ©Six Flags Fiesta To put it into perspective, the Slinky Dog Dash track is 2,789 feet long in Hollywood Studios. So this coaster will be LONG! The story of the ride is that in the late 19th century, the rail and mining industries were booming, leading the Silver Strike Mining Company to big success. Over the years, some strange things started happening at the mine, including rumors of wolf sightings, miners gone missing, and eerie howls echoing through the tunnels. ©Six Flags Fiesta Now, the mine is abandoned, but visitors can still tour the haunted site. Jasper Bunyan is your tour guide who will lead you along the way. You can check out the exhibits dedicated to cryptids and critters before you get into one of the “old, cobbled-together vehicles” for your tour. You can see the full ride preview here! This coaster will have a height requirement of 39”. The ride will open sometime in 2027, but Six Flags hasn’t confirmed an official date just yet. Recently, our team got to check out Dollywood again, and this coaster feels pretty familiar. If you’ve been, this seems like a slightly longer version of Big Bear Mountain. This might be because both coasters were manufactured by Vekoma, so you can probably expect a pretty similar experience! Big Bear Mountain! As you’ve heard us say time and time again, staying hydrated at Disney World is genuinely one of the most underrated parts of trip planning. We love Owalas! You’re outside for hours, walking miles in the Florida heat, sweating through every layer you thought was a good idea, and if you’re not actively keeping up with your water intake, your body will let you know about it. Buying bottled water every time you get thirsty adds up fast, too, and nobody wants to drop $5+ on water every few hours when that money could go toward a DOLE Whip. That’s why having a reliable reusable water bottle is one of the smartest packing decisions you can make, and after testing the Owala Disney Princess FreeSip Insulated Stainless Steel Water Bottle during a full park day, I’m officially a convert. Little Mermaid Owala If you’ve somehow missed the Owala craze, here’s the quick version: it’s an insulated stainless steel water bottle with a push-button lid and two ways to drink. You can sip upright through a built-in straw, or tilt the bottle back and drink from the wide-mouth spout opening. The lid locks to prevent accidental spills, and the base is slim enough to fit in most cup holders. I grabbed the Ariel colorway, which is a soft, shimmery blue-green with a tiny glittery seashell detail. It’s subtle Disney done right. You’d know what it’s referencing if you’re a fan, but it’s not screaming “theme park tourist” at anyone. The Leak Issue Is Real, and This Bottle Doesn’t Have It Here’s something I need to address head-on: I love my Stanley, but I cannot take it anywhere that involves a bag. The leaking is a known problem, and it’s kept that bottle as a desk-only situation for me. The Owala, though? Not a single drip. Not once across an entire park day did I worry about it soaking my bag, my phone, or anything else in there. That alone would’ve been enough to win me over, but the insulation performance pushed it over the top. Little Mermaid Owala I put ice in the bottle at 8 AM. There was still ice in it at 10 AM the next morning. That’s a full day in the Florida sun, multiple refills, and hours of sitting in a warm bag, and the ice just kept going. I refilled it about five times on a full park day, which sounds like a lot until you factor in how easy it is to hit a refill station between attractions without stopping to buy anything. Hydrating in line for rides, while walking between lands, at any moment you want without fumbling for your wallet. That’s the kind of convenience that actually changes how a park day feels. Little Mermaid Owala The built-in straw is also a bigger deal than I expected. It pulls out easily and makes drinking on the move genuinely simple. No unscrewing, no tilting awkwardly. You just drink. The One Thing I’d Change We love Owalas! If I’m being thorough: the exterior does pick up smudges and marks pretty easily. It’s not a dealbreaker, not even close, but if Owala ever adds some kind of coating to keep it looking cleaner, that would be a real upgrade. My only other note is that I’d buy the next size up at this point, not because 24 oz isn’t enough, but because I loved it so much I want more of it. That’s a good problem to have with a water bottle. Bottom Line Little Mermaid Owala This is now one of the best water bottles I’ve owned, and I’ve owned a lot. It kept ice cold for over 24 hours, didn’t leak once, made it easy to drink while walking, and looks genuinely cute doing all of it. We’ve got all of the details here! Disneyland Resort has officially partnered with Lyft to save you some money this summer! If you’re staying at a Disneyland Good Neighbor Hotel, you qualify for discounts when going to and from the theme parks. Disney shared that this will give guests “an easy and reliable way to move between their hotel and the Disneyland Resort area, enhancing the overall guest experience with flexible, on-demand transportation.” ©Disney If you’re a new Lyft user, you can use code 50MAGIC for 50% off two rides. If you’ve used Lyft before, you can use code XL10 for 10% off one XL ride to the parks. This special is running from May 28th until September 8th, so it won’t be forever. If you don’t know, Disney works with several Good Neighbor Hotels. ©Marriott These nearby partner hotels vary in proximity to the parks. Some of them are easily walkable, while others require transportation like buses, shuttles, or rideshares. A hotel may look close on a map, but still take significantly longer to reach than expected once crowds, crosswalks, and traffic enter the equation. We’ve made this mistake before, so don’t be like us and end up buying rideshares you didn’t budget for. These hotels can be across the street or miles down the road, depending on which one you select. The Anaheim Hotel There are 57 official Disneyland Good Neighbor Hotels, and not all of them offer easy access to the theme parks, so this discount can be a great way to save a little bit before you meet up with Mickey. They aren’t all created equally, and they aren’t operated by Disney, so be sure to do your research before selecting your hotel if you stay at a Good Neighbor. An iconic Disney Springs staple is CHANGING soon, and we’ve got all the details! Key Lime Pie Shake After nearly 30 years at its current home, Ghirardelli Soda Fountain & Chocolate Shop will be temporarily relocating to the Disney Springs Town Center while its Marketplace location undergoes a renovation. The renovations are expected to reopen sometime in Spring 2027 — here’s what you need to know. Later this summer, Ghirardelli Soda Fountain & Chocolate Shop will be closing at its original location and will reopen at a new, temporary location in the Disney Springs Town Center area. The updated shop in the Marketplace is expected to reopen in Spring 2027. The remodeled store will feature increased guest seating, more efficient guest checkout, and a “few surprises.” Ghirardelli at Disney Springs “Disney Springs has been a cherished home for Ghirardelli for nearly 30 years, and we are proud of the magical chocolate memories we’ve helped create for guests from around the world,” said Lacey Zane, Vice President of Restaurant & Retail at Ghirardelli Chocolate Company. “Our longstanding relationship with Disney is an important part of that story, and this next chapter allows us to thoughtfully evolve the space while honoring its legacy. We look forward to continuing to serve guests at our temporary location in Town Center during this transition and unveiling an updated space in 2027.” Ghirardelli During the transition, visitors can still enjoy Ghirardelli’s World Famous Hot Fudge Sundaes, signature chocolate treats, and full menu at the temporary location. As of now, the temporary location has not yet been revealed, but it will be located nearby in the Town Center area of Disney Springs. Once we find out the new location and an official moving date, we’ll be sure to let you know. Sweetheart Sundae The good news is that you won’t have to go without your Ghirardelli fix during the renovations, since the full menu will still be available! Plus, when the renovated location reopens, it will come with an even better guest experience. Sounds like it will ultimately be a win-win for chocolate lovers everywhere! We’ve tried literally EVERY cake at the Cake Bake Shop on Disney World’s BoardWalk, and we have PLENTY of thoughts. Cake Bake Shop cakes From chocolatey goodness to peanut butter crunch and beyond, there’s a reason this spot is so popular. While the cake slices aren’t exactly cheap, they’re MASSIVE, delicious, and made with quality ingredients. So, when we saw that Cake Bake Shop teased a NEW flavor coming soon, our minds were racing with what the possibilities might be! UPDATE! The new cake slice has been announced — the Marshmallow Dream Cake! It’s available for a limited time and is made with layers of rich French Valrhona chocolate cake filled with silky chocolate ganache, fluffy marshmallow buttercream, and mini marshmallows, all frosted in dreamy blue marshmallow buttercream ribbons and topped with Pixie Shimmer® mini marshmallows. via Cake Bake Shop on Instagram It’s true — the Cake Bake Shop is releasing a NEW cake flavor soon, and our mouths are watering just thinking about it. While we don’t know exactly which flavor will be coming, Cake Bake Shop revealed some hints on their social media that promise something “chocolatey, fluffy, and sweet as can be.” Tell us more, Cake Bake Shop! Our top pick is the Peanut Butter Crunch Cake. It’s layers of chocolate cake with peanut butter buttercream, chocolate ganache, and crunchy chocolate pearls between the layers. That chocolate was rich and sweet, and the ganache complemented the peanut butter nicely. The peanut butter buttercream was our favorite part, though — a delightful peanut butter flavor and some excellent texture from the crunchy pearls that made it more unique.
