  3. Every single Disney World park has a Starbucks location inside, but there’s only ONE place where you can get SECRET Starbucks drinks! Starbucks We’re not heading to Creature Comforts (in Disney’s Animal Kingdom) or Main Street Bakery (in Magic Kingdom) or Trolley Car Café (in Disney’s Hollywood Studios) or Connections Café (in EPCOT)…to get those secret Starbucks drinks, you don’t even need a park ticket! The Starbucks locations in Disney Springs — both the Westside and Marketplace locations — have all the classic drinks you know and love, like lattes, espresso, frappuccinos, and refreshers. But these locations are also known to come up with fun, limited-time drinks to celebrate special occasions! Starbucks In late 2023, they announced ten Taylor Swift-themed drinks to celebrate the Taylor Swift Eras Tour movie coming to the neighboring AMC theater, including drinks like the Skinny Caramel Nonfat La(Tay), Shake It Off Shaken Espresso, and Lavender Haze Iced Tea. They released these drinks throughout the month of October, which is when the movie came out. ©Starbucks We’ve also seen drinks like the Shark Attack (a strawberries and creme frappuccino)… Lots of fun drinks! …along with several Friday the 13th specials! That “Knock on Wood” drink looks especially tasty, and we’re hoping all of these make a return the next time Friday the 13th rolls around. Friday the 13th Specials Several new drinks debuted for the premiere of Raya and the Last Dragon, including the Sisu Drink and the Raya Frappuccino. ‘Raya and the Last Dragon’ Drinks We saw a few new drinks for St. Patrick’s Day one year, like The Shamrock and the Pot-o-Gold. Watch out, McDonald’s Shamrock Shake — Starbucks is coming for ya! Shamrock drink In 2021, the Top of the World Frappuccino came out, made with chocolate whipped cream, cookie crumble “dirt,” green tea, java chips, and whipped cream. This sounds like it’d make a great permanent menu item at the Animal Kingdom Starbucks location. Top of the World Frappuccino Seasonal drinks are also common, like the Frankenfrapp and the Wolfman, which we saw there in late 2020. Halloween specialty drinks The Wolfman is a java mint frappuccino with an espresso shot and strawberry puree. The Wolfman Halloween Drink from Starbucks A few barista favorites included the Happy Bananniversary, the Love is Love drink, and the Mad Tea Party. Mad Tea Party, Bananaversary, and Love Is Love So really you never know what you’re going to get at the Disney Springs Starbucks locations! If you’re looking for an exciting new drink to try or want to celebrate a special occasion, this is definitely the place to go. Starbucks at Disney Springs! 5. Avoiding the crowds in Disney World is like an Olympic sport. Crowds in Magic Kingdom Okay, maybe it’s not quite that intense, but it can be daunting and very challenging nonetheless. So how do you deal during the peak vacation season? If you’re visiting during Spring Break, summer, or the holidays, what’s the strategy? Well, let me tell you our favorite method for avoiding the masses! Extended Evening Hours, Baby! One of Disney World’s BEST hotel perks is Extended Evening Hours. This perk is exclusive to Deluxe Resorts and Disney Deluxe Villa Resorts, but it can help you accomplish so much in the parks! An empty park during Extended Evening Hours in Animal Kingdom Basically, on select nights each week, Disney World will keep one park open an extra two hours for those staying at Deluxe Resorts, and you’ll be able to hop around to some of the park’s top rides, enjoying them with incredibly short wait times and low crowds. Test Track during Extended Evening Hours at EPCOT We’ve been to Extended Evening Hours several times, and our team agrees that it’s one of the most efficient ways to do a theme park. We’ve been able to get quite a few rides and attractions accomplished in short amounts of time, and there’s something relaxing about being in the Disney parks after dark with very few people around. The Problem…and the Solution However, to stay at a Deluxe Resort or a Disney Vacation Club villa, you’ll need to shell out the big bucks. These rooms are often upwards of $400, $700, or $1000 per night. And for many people, that’s simply not in the Disney budget! Riviera Resort The good news is that there are some great ways to save on your stay! First of all, we ALWAYS recommend checking out the Special Offers page on the Disney World website before you book your stay. They often have discounts for Annual Passholders, Florida residents, and even the general public that can help you save on a hotel room. Wilderness Lodge But one of the best ways to save big is by renting Disney Vacation Club (DVC) points. We’re big fans of using David’s Vacation Club Rentals for this. Essentially, you’ll use their system to rent points that DVC owners can’t use. By doing that, you can cut down the cost significantly for a Disney Deluxe Villa Resort. Yacht Club You don’t have to be a DVC member to stay in a DVC room, and the rooms are often nicer than your standard hotel rooms, with a bit more space and a kitchenette that can come in handy. Plus, the DVC hotels in Disney World are some of the nicest places to stay, with great transportation, locations, and restaurants. Grand Floridian Resort So staying at a Deluxe Resort doesn’t always have to break the budget! In fact, getting that extra time in the parks can often make the cost so much more worth it. Who doesn’t love running from ride to ride with minimal lines?! Polynesian Resort Stay tuned to DFB for more tips on how to successfully navigate Disney World during your upcoming vacation. 6. When you work at Disney World, you go to the parks all the time, and you start to see things that you never noticed as a theme park guest. Seven Dwarfs Mine Train After working at Disney World, there are things that I never do anymore during my park day, but there are also rides I always SKIP. We’re here to tell you about those rides! We’re not here to judge you for what you choose to ride in Disney World. Nope, we’re just here to let you know which rides we think you should skip. Journey Into Imagination With Figment Alright, so let’s talk about this quirky little ride tucked away in EPCOT‘s World Celebration — Journey Into Imagination With Figment. Picture this: you’re hopping on a colorful adventure through the power of imagination with our buddy Figment. It’s all about creativity, exploration, and a whole lot of Figment antics. Sounds fun, right? Well, here’s the thing. Imagination Pavilion While Figment himself is as cute and mischievous as ever, the ride itself can feel a bit…dated. I mean, it’s been around since ’83, with a revamp in 2002, but you can still kinda tell. The animatronics are showing their age, and the storyline might not hit the mark for everyone. Journey into Imagination with Figment Sure, it’s a classic, and if you’re a first-timer or if you’ve got a soft spot for Figment then go for it, but if you’re looking for something that’s more of an interactive and visually stunning imagination fix, maybe head over to Mickey and Minnie’s Runaway Railway at Disney’s Hollywood Studios! Peter Pan’s Flight You might have guessed that this one was coming, so let’s get right into it. Peter Pan’s Flight in Magic Kingdom is one of those classic rides that everyone knows about. Now, don’t get me wrong, there’s a lot to love about this ride. Flying over London, and swooping through Neverland, it’s like stepping right into the movie. But… (you knew there was a “but” coming) Peter Pan’s Flight First off, the lines. Oh boy, the lines. They’re consistently crazy long. I mean, we’re talking waits that can stretch for over an hour, even on what you’d think are slower days, and for a ride that’s over in just a few minutes, that’s a big chunk of your day spent standing around. Backed up Peter Pan’s Flight Lightning Lane Sure, the nostalgia factor is real and yes, those classic animatronics and scenes bring back all the feels. But let’s be real, they’re not exactly cutting-edge compared to some of the newer stuff in the park. So, if you’re all about the latest and greatest, Peter Pan’s Flight might not quite hit the mark for you. Now, don’t get me wrong, if you’re a first-timer or you’re absolutely obsessed with Peter Pan, then yeah, go for it. It’s a piece of Disney history, after all. But if you’re looking to maximize your time and get the most bang for your buck, you might want to consider whether waiting in line for Peter Pan’s Flight is really worth it, or if there’s something else nearby that’ll give you a similar thrill without the wait like Pirates of the Caribbean. Slinky Dog Dash When you stroll through Toy Story Land in Disney’s Hollywood Studios and you see this giant, adorable Slinky Dog coaster weaving through the air, it’s hard not to get excited, right? Well, that’s Slinky Dog Dash for you. Slinky Dog Dash Now, I’m not gonna lie, hopping on Slinky Dog Dash is like stepping into Andy’s backyard and embarking on a wild adventure. The twists, turns, and drops make it a total blast, especially for families. Plus, those views from the top of the coaster? Absolutely unbeatable. You can see Toy Story Land in all its glory, and it’s pretty darn cool. But here’s the thing: everyone else thinks it’s cool too. And that means the lines can get crazy long. No, like really, REALLY LONG! Even with all the Individual Lightning Lane options, you might still find yourself waiting for what feels like forever. The line for Slinky Dog Dash Slinky Dog Dash is a hoot, but when you’re staring down a wait time that’s longer than your favorite Pixar movie, you start to wonder if it’s worth it. Sure, the ride’s fun, but is it “stand-in-line-for-two-hours” fun? Personally, if I’m in the mood for similar thrills with shorter waits, I head over to Magic Kingdom and hop on the Big Thunder Mountain Railroad. Na’vi River Journey Let me set the stage for this one: You stroll into Pandora – The World of Avatar at Disney’s Animal Kingdom, ready to be blown away by the wonders of the Na’vi River Journey. You’re promised an immersive journey through the bioluminescent forests of Pandora. Sounds pretty epic, right? BUT. Na’vi River Journey As someone who’s been there, done that, I gotta be real with you. While the queue line gives you a taste of Pandora’s beauty, the ride itself left me feeling a bit underwhelmed. Sure, it’s visually stunning and all, but it lacks that certain spark of excitement and engagement that I crave in Disney attractions. Na’vi River Journey Don’t even get me started on the wait times. I mean, this ride has been open for several years, and yet it still draws crowds like nobody’s business. So the question becomes, is it really worth it? Sure, if it’s your first time in Pandora, go ahead and check it out. But if you’re after some serious thrills, you might want to look elsewhere. Maybe splurge on an Individual Lightning Lane for Avatar Flight of Passage for a truly immersive experience. Frozen Ever After If you’re a fan of Anna, Elsa, and the gang, you’re probably itching to hop on this boat ride in EPCOT’s Norway Pavilion. Hey, I get it. The idea of cruising through Arendelle, belting out “Let It Go” along the way, sounds like a blast. But here’s the scoop from someone who’s been there: It’s not always a must-do for me. Frozen Ever After Sure, there’s a lot to love about Frozen Ever After. The animatronics are top-notch, the music is catchy as ever, and the attention to detail in recreating the movie’s scenes is seriously impressive. Plus, the queue line itself is like stepping right into a winter wonderland. BUT. Frozen Ever After The wait times can be brutal. Even years after its debut, this ride still draws crowds like crazy. Unless you’re willing to shell out for Disney Genie+ (we’ve got a video on using Genie+ in EPCOT right here for you!), you might find yourself stuck in line for what feels like an eternity. If you’re looking for a similar Arendelle adventure with less of a wait, sing along to “Let It Go” during the Frozen Sing-Along Celebration at Disney’s Hollywood Studios. Seven Dwarfs Mine Train This family roller coaster in Magic Kingdom takes you to work with the Seven Dwarfs — down in the diamond mine. I love the amazing views at the top of the hill on this swaying ride and the fun features in the queue line. BUT. Seven Dwarfs Mine Train The wait for this ride is long every day. It has been open for nearly 10 years (!!), and it is still crazy popular. In fact, it’s still an Individual Lightning Lane ride — one where you can purchase a return time to ride it with little to no wait. But is it worth forking over the extra money to avoid waits of an hour or more? Maybe if it’s your first ride. But if you’re looking for thrills, you can get similar ones with less wait (usually) on Big Thunder Mountain Railroad. And if you’re looking for a serious roller coaster, spend that Individual Lightning Lane money on TRON Lightcycle / Run instead. Rock ’n’ Roller Coaster Starring Aerosmith Let’s talk about the Rock ‘n’ Roller Coaster. It’s the high-speed indoor coaster at Disney’s Hollywood Studios where you basically become a roadie for Aerosmith. Now, don’t get me wrong, this ride is like a shot of pure adrenaline. You’re catapulted from 0 to 60 mph in the blink of an eye, all while jamming out to some classic Aerosmith tunes. It’s a wild ride through the neon-lit streets of LA, and it’s definitely got that “wow” factor. BUT. Rock on! For some, the intense launch and inversions may be a bit too much to handle. The darkness of the ride combined with the loud music can be overwhelming for those sensitive to sensory stimuli. Additionally, the single rider line can sometimes be a hit or miss in terms of wait times, making it a gamble if you’re trying to skip the queue. For a thrilling coaster experience with a different flavor, test your bravery on Expedition Everest at Disney’s Animal Kingdom or scream your heart out on Space Mountain at Magic Kingdom! Space Mountain Well, we hope that you now have a few extra ideas of which rides you could skip on your next Disney World trip. We’ll be sure to keep you updated with more Disney news, so follow along so that you’re always in the loop! Looking for more Cast Member tips and secrets? Click here! 7. We’re counting down the days until Disney’s NEWEST theme park expansion, Fantasy Springs at Tokyo DisneySea, opens on June 6th, 2024! ©Disney Fantasy Springs features three kingdoms: Rapunzel’s Forest, Peter Pan’s Never Land, and Frozen Kingdom. Inside the new lands, there are new rides, attractions, and restaurants, and we just got a brand-new look! Tokyo DisneySea just released NEW videos with looks inside the Tangled, Frozen, and Peter Pan lands coming to Fantasy Springs and we’re sharing some of the highlights! Frozen Kingdom Inside Frozen Kingdom, you’ll find a new ride called Anna and Elsa’s Frozen Journey, which takes visitors on a boat ride through the Frozen story. This sounds very similar to the Frozen Ever After ride in EPCOT, but we’ll have to wait and see! ©Disney Not only that, but the land will feature two restaurants: the Royal Banquet of Arendelle and Oaken’s OK Foods. The Royal Banquet of Arendelle is a quick service restaurant that seats about 570 guests, located inside the Arendelle Castle. From what we can tell, there will be a few dining rooms including one reminiscent of the Grand Hall and another that looks like the art gallery. ©Disney Disney said, “Guests who visit this restaurant will be able to join the celebratory banquet and enjoy an offering called ‘Arendelle’s Royal Set.’” This meal is served to guests in a basket and has a full spread of appetizers, entrées, and dessert. Arendelle’s Royal Set At Oaken’s OK Foods, Oaken’s Yoo-Hoo Bread (Cardamom & Meat) is “a variation on the cardamom rolls, a Scandinavian specialty.” The bread is filled with spiced meat and lingonberry jam. ©Disney Check out a full look in the video below! See Inside Disney’s New Frozen Restaurant Here Rapunzel’s Forest Disney shared, “In Rapunzel’s Forest, guests will be transported into the world of the Disney Animation film, Tangled, where the long-haired princess Rapunzel has lived since she was a child.” ©Disney Guests will be able to experience Rapunzel’s Lantern Festival — the very first Rapunzel attraction in any Disney park. On the ride, guests will encounter Rapunzel and the legendary thief, Flynn Rider, and see their love blossom at the Lantern Festival. ©Disney We’re especially excited about a REAL LIFE Snuggly Duckling restaurant! It’ll be a counter-service spot “where Rapunzel befriends the local rough-and-tumble crowd in the film.” The interior of the restaurant brings to life the world of the film in its rooms, recreating places from the film such as the tavern and stable. Guests can delight in gazing upon the décor, which depicts the happily-ever-after stories of the tavern’s lovable ruffians. Here it is!! And, you’ll be able to eat the Duckling’s Dream Cheeseburger, which includes a juicy patty and sausage sandwiched between a yellow duck-colored bun. That is a BRIGHT yellow bun! For those with a sweet tooth, the restaurant will offer the Sweet Ever After Dessert (Lemon and Strawberry), which is inspired by Rapunzel’s memorable line from the film, “And we’re living happily ever after.” How PRETTY! This dessert is served in a container shaped like a frying pan, which Rapunzel uses to protect herself in the film. See a preview of the land in this video below. Check Out Disney’s NEW Snuggly Duckling Restaurant Peter Pan’s Never Land Peter Pan’s Never Land “invites guests to explore the world of the Disney Animation film,” and will be home to two attractions and a counter-service restaurant. ©Disney In Peter Pan’s Never Land Adventure, guests join Peter Pan, Tinker Bell, and the Lost Kids on an epic adventure through Never Land to rescue John from Captain Hook and his band of pirates. ©Disney Fairy Tinker Bell’s Busy Buggies “is an attraction located in Pixie Hollow, the fairy valley in Never Land where Tinker Bell lives. In this attraction, guests board a Busy Buggy, a vehicle made by Tinker Bell, and explore the fairy valley and its changing seasons.” As far as eats over here go, Lookout Cookout is a hideout created by the Lost Kids that also serves as a counter-service restaurant made from parts of a shipwreck that washed ashore in Never Land. Lookout Cookout in Fantasy Springs On the menu are items inspired by the Lost Kids and their self-made hideout, such as Lost Kids’ Snack Box that includes chicken tenders, seaweed fritters, banana chips, and shrimp chips, and a Pixie Dust Soda (Kiwi) that comes with a star-shaped topping that dissolves into the drink, creating a silver sparkling effect inspired by Tinker Bell’s magical pixie dust. It’s pixie dusted! See more in Disney’s video below! We can’t wait to learn more about the new themed lands at Fantasy Springs! That’s a price increase of $3.42 over the 2024 price of $94.28. Grilled Butifarra at Citricos Now let’s look at the Disney Dining Plan prices for children ages 3-9. The Quick-Service Dining Plan child price for 2025 is $24.70 per person, per night of your stay. That’s an increase of 87 cents over the 2024 price of $23.83. The Standard Dining Plan child price for 2025 is $30.78 per person, per night. That’s an increase of $1.09 over the 2024 price of $29.69. Cobb Salad at the Hollywood Brown Derby These prices represent about a 3.5% jump for 2025. Will the Disney Dining Plan save you money over just buying food during your vacation? The answer to that question really depends on how your family likes to dine. You can definitely eat more cheaply than the prices for the dining plan if you stick with quick service, leave Disney World property to dine, or order grocery delivery for snacks and some meals (like breakfast). But many Disney fans love the convenience of pre-paying for your meals with the dining plan and not having to budget in the parks. And you can use your credits on “splurges” like character meals and signature restaurants! Hey, Chef Mickey! 10. Could Disney World be in store for a MASSIVE expansion? Disney World Last year, Disney announced that $60 billion would be allocated toward expansion over a decade and experts have been speculating what that massive budget could yield. From new themed lands to larger-scale expansions, the Disney Parks have the opportunity to grow exponentially, especially at Disney World. In fact, it’s possible we could see a fifth Disney theme park show up in Florida! Speculation about a fifth Disney World park has been prevalent for decades now and has only gotten stronger due to the pressure applied by the nearby Universal Orlando Resort’s expansion. Disney World is legitimately being challenged for Central Florida theme park supremacy and will need more than just land changes and ride refurbishments to maintain its stature as king of theme park resorts. ©Universal In early 2023, Disney confirmed that a fifth Disney World theme park was in play, and, according to WFLA, 70% of the $60 billion will be invested in incremental capacity, “referencing growing attractions.” During Disney’s Q1 earnings call on February 7th, 2024, The Walt Disney Company CEO Bob Iger danced around the idea of a fifth Disney World park but didn’t deny it. “We’re already hard at work, basically determining where we’re going to place our new investments and what they will be,” said Iger. He then alluded to upgrades being made at every Disney location worldwide, including the Disney Cruise Line. With Disney World being a major focus for Disney, we can assume the Florida theme park resort will get some TLC, perhaps in the form of a new park. So what could we see at this fifth park? Let’s speculate! D23 Clues Concept art for DinoLand expansion ©Disney In 2022, Disney teased possible Magic Kingdom expansions at D23 Expo and the conversation came up a year later at Destination D23, with Disney doubling down on the Magic Kingdom plans. During a panel, Disney executives described the plans as something akin to the scale of Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge with new attractions, shopping, and restaurants. If those expansion plans moved to a fifth park, what could they look like? Possible Land Expansion in Magic Kingdom ©Disney Disney previously confirmed a retheme of Dinoland U.S.A. at Disney’s Animal Kingdom to a Tropical Americas land. Some possible options for the land have centered around Zootopia, Encanto, Moana, and Indiana Jones. Those Magic Kingdom expansion plans have included talk of a Coco and a Disney villain-themed land, so we could see one or multiple of these ideas come to fruition at a fifth park. DisneylandForward Clues Concept Art ©Disney The reality of it all is that we’re too far out from the full conceptualization of a fifth park to accurately speculate what we could see in said park. However, it’s also fair to assume Disney has been leaving breadcrumbs. Disneyland is currently in the process of trying to get planned expansion — DisneylandForward — approved, and they have listed some concrete examples as to what might be included in that expansion. ©Disney Over at Disneyland Park, Disney has teased Tangled and Peter Pan-themed lands and attractions, while Disney California Adventure could include Frozen, Zootopia, Toy Story, and Tron attractions and lands. DisneylandForward also includes new hotels, shops, and restaurants that could all be installed if the plan is improved. So why does California’s DisneylandForward matter for a fifth theme park at Florida’s Walt Disney World? DisneylandForward has taken a lot of inspiration from the latest developments at Disney Parks in Europe, Asia, and, yes, Disney World. This indicates that Disney could be looking to duplicate or expand upon existing lands, attractions, and ideas into its newest parks and expansions. NEW Intellectual Property? ©21st Century Fox The Walt Disney Company looks A LOT Different today than it did back in 1998 when Disney World opened its fourth theme park, Animal Kingdom. For starters, Disney now owns Pixar, 21st Century Fox, Lucasfilm, and Marvel Studios. Disney has already played with Star Wars, Indiana Jones, Pixar, and Marvel’s Avengers-themed lands and rides, it’s likely Disney keeps collecting and using different intellectual property like Thanos collecting infinity stones. ESPN Wide World of Sports Complex Just this month, Disney partnered with Fox and Warner Bros. Discovery to make a joint sports streaming platform. As Disney continues to work with other companies outside of the Disney bubble, it only further heightens the possibility that Disney expands its IP collection either through partnerships or purchases. The possibility of a fifth Disney World park is incredibly exciting and while nothing is concrete as of now, we can’t wait to bring you any and all future updates — so stay tuned here at DFB for all the latest! 11. If you clicked on this post, it’s probably because you’re like me and need to plan ahead and know all the rules and requirements before you do anything. Pool Rules at Disney’s Pop Century Resort If I’m going to a new restaurant, I will absolutely look up the menu ahead of time so that I know what I’m going to order once I’m there. Want to go see a movie with me? Hold on, please — I need to look up every review first. And if I’m going to swim at a Disney World hotel pool, you can bet I need to know the rules before I go! For all of us anxious planners, I put together this list of six hotel pool rules you need to know if you want to go swimming during your next Disney World vacation! Food and Drink Are NOT Allowed in the Pool Look at that preposition carefully — food and drinks are not allowed IN the pool, but you’re more than welcome to enjoy your eats BY the pool. Relax by your resort pool! Guests can bring their own food and drinks to enjoy by the pool, and most pools even have pool bars and nearby quick service restaurants that you can visit to grab a bite to eat or a fun drink. The Drop Off Pool Bar at Art of Animation Just make sure to keep all the food and drinks out of the actual pool! Glass Containers Are Prohibited While we’re on the subject of bringing things to the pool, I should mention that glass containers of any kind are definitely not allowed in the pool OR the pool area. This couldn’t come into the pool area! If you have a drink in a glass container, you’ll need to leave it in your hotel room (or pour it into a non-glass container). Keep an Eye on Your Little Ones! It’s required at all Disney World hotel pools that children under the age of 12 must have adult supervision. Keep an eye on your kids! So, no sending the kiddos to the pool while the parents grab an afternoon nap in the hotel room or head off to the adults-only Victoria & Albert’s Restaurant! You’ll have to wait until they’re 12 years old or older for that. Swim Diapers Are Required for Kiddos in Diapers Any diaper-age child must wear a swim diaper in the hotel pools. Doubloon Lagoon Pool This rule is for safety and sanitation purposes. According to the CDC, “Swim diapers can delay diarrhea-causing germs, like Cryptosporidium, from leaking into the water.” However, the CDC notes that “even though swim diapers and swim pants might hold in some solid feces, they are not leakproof,” which is why Disney also has a DIARRHEA rule that you need to follow. Click here to learn about that Diarrhea rule! Water Play Areas are for Kiddos Only While we’re on the subject of kiddos at the pool, you should know that those water play areas are for the little ones only. Splash Pad Most hotel pools in Disney World also have some kind of water splash pad or toddler pool area. Kids must be 48″ or under in order to use these amenities. You CAN’T Pool Hop…Usually There are some pretty awesome hotel pools in Disney World, but you usually CAN’T swim at a pool if you’re not staying at that hotel. There are a few exceptions to that rule: If you’re staying at Port Orleans — French Quarter, you’re welcome to spend some time lounging by the Doubloon Lagoon Pool, but you’re also welcome to visit Port Orleans — Riverside, where you’ll find Ol’ Man Island. It’s home to a large pool, a spa, a kiddie pool, a wading pool, and a short but fun water slide. Ol’ Man Island If you have an upcoming trip planned for any of the three All-Star Resorts in Disney World, you’re in luck. No matter which All-Star Resort you might be staying at (Sports, Music, or Movies) you can visit any of the All-Star pools! At All-Star Music, there are the Calypso and Piano Pools, All-Star Movies has the Fantasia and Duck Pond Pools, and at All-Star Sports, you’ll find the Surfboard Bay and Grand Slam Pools. Grand Slam Pool Folks who stay at Disney’s Yacht Club and Disney’s Beach Club Resorts have their choice of pools at both of these resorts, too! For those looking for some leisurely hangs, you can check out the Tidal, Admiral, and Dunes Cove Pools. But the best pool at Yacht & Beach Club — and quite possibly all of Disney World — is Stormalong Bay. It features a sand-bottom pool, a pirate ship slide, and a lazy river. Stormalong Bay at Disney’s Yacht & Beach Club Hopefully this helps you prepare as you plan your upcoming trip! 12. Can you believe it’s almost time to start planning your 2025 Disney World vacation? Cinderella Castle at Magic Kingdom Yep! Disney JUST opened booking availability for 2025 vacation packages, and we have all the details regarding what you can expect as far as pricing and monthly availability goes. Booking for 2024 vacations didn’t open until May 31st, 2023 — so this is definitely sooner than a lot of folks expected. Despite how early it may seem, let’s jump into 2025 TICKET PRICING! Well, we are seeing ticket price increases across the board for 2025. Keep in mind that these ticket prices are only through October 2025 — which is all Disney shows us right now on the website. The cheapest tickets for 2025 fall at $119 while the most expensive tickets fall at $169. In 2024, the cheapest tickets fell at $109 while the most expensive ones fell at $164. So, we see an average increase of about $5-$10. We’ll start with the most basic ticket option: 1 Park Per Day. This option shows the price breakdown per park. In 2025, these tickets will shoot up to $184 per ticket for Magic Kingdom (was $179 on this day in 2024), $169 per ticket for EPCOT (was $164 on this day in 2024), $179 per ticket for Disney’s Hollywood Studios (was $174 on this day in 2024), and $159 per ticket for Disney’s Animal Kingdom, which saw no price increase. ©Disney However, those are just the prices for this date in 2025. Let’s take a look at what pricing looks like for March, one of the most popular months to visit Disney World. These prices show the price breakdown if you purchase your tickets as a package rather than per park. These tickets fall between $154 and $169, which is very similar to the March 2024 calendar. In fact, a lot of the days in March saw no price increase. ©Disney September is another pretty popular month to visit Disney World, as the weather is beginning to cool and some schools have even begun their fall breaks. However, the beginning of the month is typically pretty empty compared to the summer months. In 2025, the prices range from $119 to $144, which is a bigger gap in price — but overall cheaper than May. This is also comparable to the 2024 prices, with a few increases there and there. ©Disney Finally, let’s take a look at Park Hopper and Park Hopper Plus tickets. These are the most “deluxe” tickets you can buy, as they allow you to visit up to four parks in a day. On this day in 2025, regular Park Hopper tickets are priced at $248. On the same day in 2024, these tickets were priced at $144. For the Park Hopper Plus option, tickets fall at $268 in 2025, compared to 2024’s price of $164. So, we see a $4 increase for both tickets which is nominal, but adds up quickly. ©Disney And there you have it! If you’re planning a 2025 Disney World vacation, it’s important that you’re aware of these price increases — no matter how small. These things seriously add up, and your budgeting will be SO much easier if you’re aware of these changes from the get-go. 14. We’re eagerly awaiting the opening of Fantasy Springs at Tokyo DisneySea! The Snuggly Duckling is coming to Tokyo!! The new port opens June 6th, and will have Tangled, Peter Pan, and Frozen lands! There will be NEW rides, NEW souvenirs, and (most importantly to us, perhaps) NEW restaurants! Now, we’ve got a sneak peek at some menu items coming to Fantasy Springs! Disney just released the details on some of the food coming to Fantasy Springs, including (wait for it) … Roast Beef POPCORN!?!?! Let’s get into it! The Snuggly Duckling That’s right, the tavern that attracts Corona’s rough-and-tumble crowd in Rapunzel is coming to life in Fantasy Springs! Mural at Snuggly Duckling This will be a counter-service restaurant, and the menu items will include Duckling’s Dream Cheeseburger. That is a BRIGHT yellow bun! Disney says the cheeseburger will include a juicy patty and sausage sandwiched between a yellow duck-colored bun. We’re curious about the toppings on this burger — cabbage, onion, tomato, and is that some sort of relish or aioli? For dessert at Snuggly Duckling, you’ll be able to order the “Sweet Ever After.” How PRETTY! The presentation on this looks gorgeous, right? Disney says this dessert (which looks like it could be a tart or Dutch baby, perhaps?) will have lemon and strawberry flavors. It’s served in a frying-pan shaped container in a nod to Rapunzel’s weapon of choice! Disney says Snuggly Duckling will be available on Mobile Order when it opens! Want a look inside the restaurant? Click here! Royal Banquet of Arendelle This restaurant is another counter-service location, this time in the Frozen land. Disney says this one will be big — with seating for 570 people! Royal Banquet of Arendelle certainly looks grand! Here you’ll be able to order “Arendelle’s Royal Set.” Arendelle’s Royal Set Disney says this meal will be served in a basket, and includes a variety of dished from appetizers to dessert. LOOK at that Olaf Dessert! And is that a bao bun on the side? Oaken’s OK Foods Yoo-Hoo!! Oaken also has a restaurant coming to Tokyo DisneySea! We met Oaken in Hong Kong Disneyland! Oaken’s OK Foods will serve “Oaken’s Yoo-Hoo Bread.” Oaken’s YooHoo Bread This is a variation on Cardamom Rolls, a Scandinavian specialty. These will be filled with spiced meat and lingonberry jam. The presentation here looks great! Lookout Cookout This hideout created by the “Lost Kids” is in — you guessed it — Peter Pan’s Neverland. This is also a counter-service location that will seat 250 people. Lookout Cookout in Fantasy Springs The “Lost Kids Snack Box” will include chicken tenders, seaweed fritters, banana chips, and shrimp chips. Lost Kids Snack Box in Fantasy Springs And Disney promises that the “Pixie Dust Soda” here actually sparkles! It’s pixie dusted! This is a kiwi-flavored drink. That star on the top melts into it, changing the color and adding silver sparkles! Popcorn Wagon And now we have come to the moment you’ve all been waiting for … ROAST BEEF POPCORN. Rrrrroast beef??! This is available at a snack cart in Peter Pan’s Neverland. Disney says it is a “robust flavor seasoned with salt and black pepper, and aromas of roasted meat and gravy.” OK. We’re a bit skeptical, but we see how this could work. Are you planning a trip to see Fantasy Springs in Tokyo? Our friends at Small World Vacations can help you book your trip, and their services are free! Keep following DFB for the latest Disney news! 15. Disney just made a ton of huge announcements about the NEW Fantasy Springs theme park expansion at Tokyo DisneySea. ©Disney We got a first look inside the new Frozen– and Tangled-themed restaurants, checked out the new merchandise, and even got to see several menu items coming to the various restaurants inside. But we were NOT ready for this announcement: ROAST BEEF POPCORN. Yep, Roast Beef Popcorn is a snack that will be available inside the Peter Pan-themed land at Fantasy Springs. This snack will be on the menu at the Popcorn Wagon, which is designed to look like “a boat pieced together from colorful slabs of old wood.” Peter Pan’s Never Land ©Disney What exactly IS Roast Beef Popcorn, you might ask? Disney said that it has a “robust flavor seasoned with salt and black pepper, and aromas of roasted meat and gravy.“ This is the first time that this unique popcorn flavor will be available at Tokyo Disney Resort. Rrrrroast beef??! Although this is the newest unique popcorn flavor coming to Tokyo Disney Resort, it’s definitely not the first time that Disney has released a fun popcorn flavor at this park that’s not what you’d expect for the savory snack! In the past, we’ve seen flavors like Soy Sauce and Butter, Honey Popcorn, Curry Popcorn, Milk Tea Popcorn, Strawberry Popcorn, Corn Potage (Corn Soup) Popcorn, Orange Marmalade Popcorn, and so many more. Curry Popcorn Tokyo Disney Resort is also known for its AWESOME popcorn BUCKETS, and we’re frequently very jealous of their souvenir buckets! Take Your Pick Aside from the Popcorn Wagon, Peter Pan’s Never Land will also have two new attractions: Peter Pan’s Never Land Adventure (where you’ll join the Lost Kids on an epic adventure through Never Land to rescue John from Captain Hook) and Fairy Tinker Bell’s Busy Buggies in Pixie Hollow (when you’ll ride in a buggy made by Tinker Bell herself!). ©Disney There will be a quick service restaurant, too, called Lookout Cookout, which can seat about 200 guests. This is a “hideout created by the Lost Kids,” made out of “parts of a shipwreck that had washed ashore in Never Land.” The restaurant is stocked full of items that the Lost Kids discovered and added to their collection. You’ll get a glimpse of the Lost Kids’ daily lives, too, including their hammocks and pajamas! Lookout Cookout in Fantasy Springs The menu is full of food inspired by the Lost Kids, like the Lost Kids’ Snack Box (with chicken tenders, seaweed fritters, banana chips, and shrimp chips)… Lost Kids Snack Box in Fantasy Springs ©Disney …and the Pixie Dust Soda (Kiwi), which has “a star-shaped topping that dissolves into the drink, creating a silver sparkling effect inspired by Tinker Bell’s magical pixie dust.” It’s pixie dusted! Lookout Cookout will accept Mobile Order. If you’re hoping to book your vacation to Fantasy Springs, make sure to talk to our friends over at Small World Vacations for help planning your trip! The Snuggly Duckling sign at Tokyo DisneySea This looks exactly like the Snuggly Duckling sign in Rapunzel’s Tangled Adventure! ©Disney And the exterior of the restaurant looks VERY similar to the animated version, too — though it’s not quite at the “severely slanted floor” angle — of the imaginary version. Here it is!! And here’s another look at the exterior. The Snuggly Duckling in Tokyo DisneySea Inside, the restaurant looks appropriately rustic for that rough crowd the Snuggly Duckling tends to draw! 19. Disney’s NEWEST theme park expansion, Fantasy Springs at Tokyo DisneySea Park, is opening on June 6th, 2024, with three AMAZING immersive lands. Now, we’ve got a first look inside one of the new restaurants coming to the Frozen-themed land! ©Disney Fantasy Springs is made up of three kingdoms: Rapunzel’s Forest, Peter Pan’s Never Land, and Frozen Kingdom. There’s also a new hotel, the Tokyo DisneySea Fantasy Springs Hotel. Inside the new lands, there are new rides, attractions, and restaurants. Let’s go inside the Royal Banquet of Arendelle for the FIRST TIME! According to a new press release from Disney, Fantasy Springs is located between the Lost River Delta and the Arabian Coast lands in Tokyo DisneySea. The Fantasy Springs entryway will have an archway featuring characters like Peter Pan, Rapunzel, Anna, and Elsa. ©Disney Inside Frozen Kingdom, guests will find a new ride called Anna and Elsa’s Frozen Journey, which takes visitors on a boat ride through the Frozen story. This sounds very similar to the Frozen Ever After ride in EPCOT. ©Disney The land will also have TWO restaurants: the Royal Banquet of Arendelle and Oaken’s OK Foods. Royal Banquet of Arendelle ©Disney The Royal Banquet of Arendelle is a quick service restaurant that seats about 570 guests, located inside the Arendelle Castle. Royal Banquet of Arendelle ©Disney It looks like there are a few different dining rooms inside, with one that looks like the Great Hall and another that looks like the art gallery (where Anna sings “For the First Time in Forever” in the movie). Royal Banquet of Arendelle ©Disney While you’re dining, don’t forget to look for books and artwork that nod to the movie! Royal Banquet of Arendelle ©Disney You can use Mobile Order at The Royal Banquet of Arendelle. ©Disney Disney said, “Guests who visit this restaurant will be able to join the celebratory banquet and enjoy an offering called ‘Arendelle’s Royal Set.'” This meal is served to guests in a basket and has a full spread of appetizers, entrées, and dessert. ©Disney At Oaken’s OK Foods, you can grab Oaken’s Yoo-Hoo Bread (Cardamom & Meat), which is “a variation on the cardamom rolls, a Scandinavian specialty.” The bread is filled with spiced meat and lingonberry jam. ©Disney We can’t wait to learn more about the new themed lands at Fantasy Springs! 21. Disney recently announced that Tiana’s Bayou Adventure in Magic Kingdom will now be opening in the summer of 2024! Tiana’s Bayou Adventure When the ride re-theme had initially been announced its opening timeline was set for late 2024. Now that Disney has moved up the opening date (we’re still waiting for a specific date to be announced), we can’t help but keep track of all the new updates we’ve been seeing! We stop by Tiana’s Bayou Adventure every time we visit Magic Kingdom (which is A LOT), and we’ve started to see some BIG updates happening. Let’s go through six of the most recent (and some of the BIGGEST) changes to the ride that we’ve noticed on the outside. Log Changes The plan for the ride vehicles on the new ride is that the same logs from Splash Mountain will be used. However, we recently saw a change to the logs. While they were lined up at the bottom of the drop, we noticed the fronts of the logs were completely empty. Br’er Rabbit used to be on the front, but he has seemingly been removed from all the logs. Tiana’s Bayou Adventure Ride Vehicles For comparison, here is what the logs looked like before when they were being used for Splash Mountain. Splash Mountain ride vehicles We don’t know if Disney plans to add Princess and the Frog characters to the logs or simply leave them blank, but we’ll be watching for any other changes! Blank logs for Tiana’s Bayou Adventure Water Is Flowing If you stop by Tiana’s Bayou Adventure, you may notice water in the ride track outside! Tiana’s Bayou Adventure filled with water Water in the track is a HUGE step in the right direction towards opening! We know that the ride will use the same track as Splash Mountain, and the fact that there is water in it, means we’re certainly getting closer to enjoying the new ride. Ride Testing Water in the track also means that Disney can test the ride! Ride testing has been occurring at night, and we caught a glimpse of it while in Magic Kingdom one evening. 23. We’ve been keeping you updated on the measles outbreak situation currently developing in Florida. ©Mayo Clinic Our last update two days ago spoke of cases in Broward County, but now cases have popped up in Central Florida as well. According to the Orlando Sentinel, a Polk County resident aged 20-24 has been diagnosed with measles. It’s unclear how the person contracted the disease, but the case was reported to the Florida Department of Health on Saturday. As of Sunday, all eight cases in Broward County, which began being reported multiple days ago, were in younger children and teens. ©FloridaSmart “About 1 in 5 unvaccinated people who get measles are hospitalized, as many as 1 in 20 kids who get measles will develop pneumonia. About 1 in 1,000 will develop brain swelling that can cause permanent injury,” according to the Centers for Disease Control. In fact, “Unvaccinated people have a 90% chance of becoming infected if exposed.” ©Maine.gov In 2022, Polk County had a 95.8% vaccination rate against measles in kindergartners, and Dr. Kenneth Alexander, chief of the Division of Infectious Diseases at Nemours Children’s Health in Orlando has stated that vaccinated individuals should not be concerned about this outbreak, as 2 doses of the measles vaccine is 97% effective. ©Central Florida Development Council To avoid contracting this highly contagious disease, the CDC recommends “children get two doses of the vaccine, with a first dose at ages 12 through 15 months, and the second dose at 4 through 6 years of age.” Parents of unvaccinated children in Broward County were advised to make their own decision about sending their child to school amid the outbreak by Florida Surgeon General Joseph Ladapo, who has since been criticized for this decision.
