  3. Calling all Disney World Annual Passholders! A popular Disney World restaurant just made a new announcement, and it might mean you can SAVE on your next trip! Disney World Annual Passholder Entrance Annual Passholders get exclusive discounts in Disney World, like 20% off merchandise at most gift shops and 10% off food at many restaurants inside the parks and at the hotels. Some restaurants in Disney Springs offer discounts as well, and one just announced that they’re DOUBLING their discount! Morimoto Asia in Disney Springs is a popular table service restaurant that’s led by Iron Chef Masaharu Morimoto. Annual Passholders previously could get a discount of 10% at this restaurant, but now that discount is doubling! Morimoto Asia Morimoto Asia shared that the 20% discount applies to all regular-priced food and non-alcoholic drinks served during lunch hours (11:30AM through 3:30PM Sunday through Monday). The discount does not include the sushi bar, and major holidays are also excluded (such as Mother’s Day, Thanksgiving, and Christmas). Morimoto Asia The lunch menu at Morimoto Asia includes options like dumplings, egg rolls, shumai, spare ribs, ramen, shrimp tempura, lettuce wraps, and more. Shumai The restaurant recently introduced a new Weekday Lunch Menu, which is made up of different kinds of Bento Boxes. The boxes include miso or hot & sour soup, steamed white or brown rice, a variety of sides, and an entrée like Orange Chicken, Kung Pao Cauliflower, or Miso-Glazed Chilean Sea Bass. The boxes cost between $24 and $29. Morimoto Asia With DOZENS of places to eat at Disney World, we know it can be tough to plan your meals. 4. Listen, it can be a CHALLENGE to survive Disney World without any caffeine! Shaken espresso We’re constantly on the lookout for opportunities to drink Starbucks or Joffrey’s coffee or have a Diet Coke along with our meals in the parks. It’s what’ll keep you going when you’re on day six of your vacation and you’re running on magic and fumes! And if you’re visiting Starbucks in the Disney Parks on your next trip, we’ve got a little secret you might want to know. The Disney World Starbucks locations will serve all your basic and popular drinks, including some of the seasonal options like peppermint or pumpkin beverages. However, not ALL of the limited-time Starbucks options will show up on the in-park menus! Trolley Car Cafe We noticed this recently when we stopped by Trolley Car Cafe in Hollywood Studios. We were hoping to try the seasonal Luck of the Matcha Creme Frappucino, but it wasn’t listed on the menu! However, when we asked a Cast Member at the counter, they told us they had all the ingredients to make the drink, so we were able to order it anyway. Luck of the Matcha So now we know that even if a beverage isn’t listed on the menu, we could still ask to see if Starbucks can make it — just like a secret menu! Starbucks is known for offering lots of customizations, and we’ve been able to try a variety of off-menu options here in the past. Just in case, it’s probably a good idea to know the ingredients list for the off-menu item you want to order. You can order off-menu items! If you’re interested in ordering this particular drink, the Luck of the Matcha Creme Frappucino is $6.75 and made with Matcha Creme with matcha powder and caramel syrup, whipped cream with caramel drizzle, and caramel crunch topping. We thought the matcha was just the right amount and combined really well with the caramel flavor. It wasn’t too sweet, and it was essentially like drinking a matcha milkshake. Like drinking a milkshake! We’ll keep you in the loop with any more snack reviews and hacks from Disney World, so stay tuned to DFB for the latest! 5. Gina Carano‘s Hollywood career has been a topic of contention for years. In 2021, #FireGinaCarano became a trending Twitter campaign following Carano’s association with a controversial image reposted online. Disney took notice and ultimately fired the actress via a statement from a Lucasfilm spokesperson. The Mandalorian Since her termination, the actress has been pretty vocal, even teaming up with Elon Musk (fellow Disney critic) to file a complaint in California federal court against Disney and Lucasfilm. The lawsuit is ongoing, but Carano still has more to say. In an interview with The Hollywood Reporter, Gina Carano shared her side of the story after being “canceled” by Disney and the internet. Echoing her previous statements, Carano believes that she was fired for sharing her Republican opinions on social media and feels “unfairly targeted and bullied both by the public and her work peers,” per The Hollywood Reporter. via The Hollywood Reporter, Jesse Grant/Getty Images Carano’s lawsuit states, “Defendants (Disney and Lucasfilm) went so far as to try and convince Carano’s publicist to force Carano to issue a statement admitting to mocking or insulting an entire group of people, which Carano had never done.” The claim is referring to a post that Carano shared stating, “being a Republican is like being Jewish during the Holocaust.” This was one of several social media posts the actress shared about her right-wing opinions. ©Disney When asked about the situation and subsequent firing, Carano told The Hollywood Reporter, “I just laid down and cried and cried,” adding, “I curled into a fetal position. It’s not that I didn’t think that something like that could happen. It was that I couldn’t imagine they would put out this horrendous statement about me after working with me — the most powerful entertainment company in the world saying that about me.” Here’s What Carano Said Before Her Termination In a statement announcing Carano’s termination, a Lucasfilm spokesperson said, “Gina Carano is not currently employed by Lucasfilm and there are no plans for her to be in the future. Nevertheless, her social media posts denigrating people based on their cultural and religious identities are abhorrent and unacceptable.” ©Lucasfilm Carano went on to praise Elon Musk, the person responsible for funding her lawsuit against Disney, for helping her “fight back” against what she called “one of the most aggressive unnecessary cancellations in Hollywood history.” Carano has yet to directly speak with Musk. ©Getty Images via The Hollywood Reporter The actress admitted that she resisted participating in a Disney-ordered Zoom meeting with 45 members of Disney and Lucasfilm’s LGBTQ affinity group. She later stated that she has no regrets about how she handled things. The lawsuit is ongoing, but Carano shared she’s not interested in the money. Instead, she explained, “I’m thinking about clearing my name. I’m thinking about finally being healthier and having this monkey off my back and telling my story and just getting on with my life. Finally.” Stay tuned for more updates. Elon Musk Funds ‘Star Wars’ Celebrity Gina Carano’s Lawsuit Against Disney Join the DFB Newsletter to get all the breaking news right in your inbox! 6. Could Tiana’s Bayou Adventure open SOON in Disney World? Concept art of the new ride ©Disney Disney has announced that the new Magic Kingdom ride will open this summer, and now that we’re in March, we’re getting close to that opening time! We recently spotted a huge clue that the ride might open sooner than we expected. We’ve been keeping a close eye on Tiana’s Bayou Adventure (which is currently surrounded by construction walls) in Frontierland, and a few weeks ago, we spotted some changes happening with the scaffolding. Disney started to take down the scaffolding towards the top of the mountain, and now even MORE has come down! There’s practically no scaffolding at all on the top of the mountain and just a bit on either side. Lots of the scaffolding is gone! There is still quite a bit along the left-hand side of the mountain, so Disney might have moved from working around the top to focusing on the sides. Scaffolding Bit by bit, that scaffolding is being taken down as Disney gets ready for the grand opening this summer. All the greenery looks gorgeous on the mountain. We love the big trees around it and the flowers on the top! We’re getting close! Disney has also started testing the ride vehicles, which look very similar to the ones used for Splash Mountain. We’ve frequently seen water running through the ride. Ride vehicles have been testing The ride didn’t have water running through it this morning… No water… …but when we went back this afternoon, it was filled with water! We might see some ride testing later in the day! Water! The storyline of Tiana’s Bayou Adventure takes place after Disney’s The Princess and the Frog. The premise is that Tiana is hosting a big Mardi Gras party, but she’s missing an important ingredient! We’ll get to go on an adventure with Tiana and some of her pals to find that essential ingredient. Tiana’s Bayou Adventure Concept Art ©Disney We’ve already seen a sneak peek at the Tiana animatronic coming to this ride. Tiana, Prince Naveen, Louis, and Mama Odie will be joined by more characters from the original film. Disney notes that guests can expect to find some “familiar faces” on the ride including Eudora (Tiana’s mom), Charlotte, “Big Daddy,” the King and Queen of Maldonia, and Naveen’s brother Prince Ralphie. ©Disney Tiana’s Bayou Adventure concept art One of our favorite things about the Princess and the Frog movie is the music! So of course, music is an important part of this ride, too. Disney said that the ride will have original music “inspired by the songs from the film.” It’s been confirmed that Jenifer Lewis (the voice of Mama Odie) will be featured in the new ride, so we’re hoping to hear “Dig a Little Deeper” when we ride! ©Disney One of the things we’re MOST excited about is the queue! Normally a ride’s queue is the worst part of the experience (no one likes waiting in a long line), but Tiana’s Bayou Adventure will have the smell of fresh beignets pumped into the queue! OK, now that we’re thinking about it, that might make the wait even MORE torturous because then we’ll just be craving beignets the whole time. Ooh, progress! That’s why we’re hoping that the Tiana’s Beignets dish at Golden Oak Outpost sticks around (so we can grab some beignets right after we ride). The beignets are supposed to be a limited-time menu addition, but it seems like a no-brainer for Disney to keep them there full-time! Tiana’s Famous Beignets Some of the Splash Mountain elements are remaining for Tiana’s Bayou Adventure. The ride will still feature a thrilling, 5-story drop, and it’ll last about 11 or 12 minutes. Disney confirmed that Tiana’s Bayou Adventure will feature a few “subtle nods” (also known as Easter Eggs) to Splash Mountain throughout the ride. ©Disney Stay tuned to DFB, and we’ll be sure to let you know about all the updates at Tiana’s Bayou Adventure! 7. Finally! One Disney World ride has been closed for MONTHS, and we can’t wait for it to reopen. Animal Kingdom Disney frequently uses the winter months to work on refurbishments for outdoor water rides since those attractions tend to be less busy while the weather isn’t so hot. One ride in Disney’s Animal Kingdom has been closed for over two months, but it’s finally reopening TOMORROW! Kali River Rapids in Disney’s Animal Kingdom closed on January 8th, 2024, for a long refurbishment. When the ride initially closed, there was no reopening date announced. However, we started to see clues about its reopening a few weeks ago! Disney’s website now shows that Kali River Rapids will reopen TOMORROW, March 15th, 2024. Kali River Rapids The ride lists opening times from 9AM to 8PM on March 15th and 16th, 9AM to 7PM on March 17th through the 23rd, and 9AM to 6PM on March 24th through the 31st. Throughout April, the ride will continue to be open from 9AM to 6PM. Kali River Rapids Make sure to take note of those opening times, because they’re not the same as the opening times for Animal Kingdom. Animal Kingdom usually opens at 8AM (an hour earlier than Kali River Rapids), and the park is currently listing closing times past when Kali River Rapids closes on some days (usually 7PM or 8PM, even when Kali River Rapids closes at 6PM). So you can’t count on the ride being open the entire time that Animal Kingdom is open. Kali River Rapids Part of the reason why Kali River Rapids opens late and closes early might be because you can get SOAKED on this boat ride, and people don’t usually want to be walking around in the early morning or late evening weather soaking wet (it’s just too cold!). Keep that in mind no matter what time of day it is — when you see those warning signs letting you know you might get wet, they’re not joking! A good time to ride is mid-afternoon on really hot days, because then it’ll feel good to get splashed with cool water. Kali River Rapids Another ride that tends to close early in Animal Kingdom is Kilimanjaro Safaris. This safari ride is a must-visit, so we recommend going there early in the day so you don’t miss out or get stuck with a long wait! Kilimanjaro Safaris We’re super excited that Kali River Rapids will reopen soon, but we’re still waiting for one more long-term closure to end. Over in Disney’s Hollywood Studios, Rock ‘n’ Roller Coaster is still closed, and this ride isn’t listing opening times at all yet. Last year, when this roller coaster closed for a long-term refurbishment, it didn’t reopen until May 26th. We’ll be watching for more updates on that closure! 8. When Bob Iger returned to Disney in 2022, he did so with a few important objectives in mind. ©Disney Perhaps the most glaring, though, was the need to choose a successor to replace him once his contract (which has already been extended once since his return) was finally up. Fans and experts have both weighed in to give their thoughts on who the next CEO of The Walt Disney Company might be and now, it seems we may have an update. According to a new report from Bloomberg, the Walt Disney Company board is focusing its efforts on four division heads as part of its search for Bob Iger’s successor. They’re candidates whose names have been tossed into the ring before: Dana Walden, co-chair of Disney Entertainment; Jimmy Pitaro, former ESPN president; Disney Parks chair Josh D’Amaro; and Alan Bergman, Walden’s other co-chair at Disney Entertainment. Walt Disney Company Headquarters ©LA Times “People with knowledge of the matter” told Bloomberg that as part of the process, Disney could appoint a chief operating officer or president to serve for a time before Iger officially exits. For now, his contract is slated to end in 2026 — but no decision on a successor is expected this year. ©Disney | Walt Disney Company Headquarters Iger has reportedly been spending time with the internal candidates to give them an idea of how he does the job, along with giving them exposure to other areas of the business they may not be familiar with. We do know that the board committee formed in 2023 met six times last year and has been working with a search firm along with conducting interviews. ©Disney Of course, this could be complicated by Disney’s annual shareholder meeting coming up on April 3rd, when a proxy vote will be held to determine whether or not Nelson Peltz, Jay Rasulo, and Blackwells Capital will end up with board seats at the company. One thing is for sure, we’ll be keeping an eye on the latest developments on Bob Iger’s successor. ©Disney Stay tuned to DFB as we continue to bring you the latest updates about Bob Iger and The Walt Disney Company. 12. Disney has a lot of big plans for its theme parks in the future! Disney California Adventure CEO Bob Iger has previously announced plans for expansions at several theme parks, many of which are currently under construction (hello, Fantasy Springs at Tokyo DisneySea!). But one expansion we’ve been crossing our fingers for is the Disneyland Forward project out in Anaheim, CA. And coming soon, there could be some big updates! The idea with Disneyland Forward is that Disney wants to change areas that were traditionally zoned for specific uses such as hotels or parking lots. The way the zones are designed currently, Disney cannot use zones that are specified districts for anything other than what it’s zoned for. To do this, Disneyland needs approval from the City of Anaheim. And they’ve been working on getting that approval for quite some time. Carthay Circle Restaurant One of the biggest hurdles was the Anaheim Planning Commission meeting on March 11th, 2024. During that meeting the second topic on the agenda was the Disneyland Forward plan, and that one proposal lasted over 5 HOURS before a vote was cast. The long night ended after 11 PM PT with a 5-1 vote to recommend the project to move forward. Pixar Pier According to the Orange County Register, the next big step is for the Anaheim City Council to vote on the proposal. This meeting will take place on April 16th, 2024. The proposal includes $1.9 billion worth of theme park expansions. Disney California Adventure Another key point of the proposal is that it requests permission for Disney to build more thematic elements, including as many as four structures that measure up to 300 feet tall. “The general intent is to establish a building height hierarchy in which most theme park elements will range from 40 to 250 feet high, with up to four structural thematic elements/icons that may be up to 300 feet in height to establish visual interest and orientation within the theme park,” says the draft document. Haunted Mansion in Disneyland These would dwarf some of the current thematic elements like Sleeping Beauty Castle and the Matterhorn, which are 77 and 147 feet tall, respectively. Currently, Guardians of the Galaxy — Mission: Breakout is the tallest thematic element on Disneyland Resort property, standing at 187 feet. Mickey & Minnie’s Runaway Railway in Disneyland We’ll be interested to see how this vote goes during the next meeting. Disney first proposed the Disneyland Forward project back in 2021, so the progress has been slow so far. We’ll keep you updated with any more changes and news! 16. Disney hasn’t had the best time with premieres lately. ©Disney | Walt Disney Company Headquarters Poor box office results led to Disney ceding its crown as Universal Studios became the top-grossing production company for 2023, and Disney+ has yet to become profitable (though CEO Bob Iger is still confident that it will be by the end of 2024.) Streaming is a top priority for Iger, so perhaps that’s why this showrunner was fired before his show even officially premiered. Beau DeMayo, creator and executive producer of the upcoming Marvel series on Disney+, X-Men ’97, has been fired just one week before the premiere, Variety has reported. ©Getty Images DeMayo had completed work on the first two seasons of the show prior to his exit, and he will not be attending the Hollywood premiere on March 13th. He also deleted his Instagram account, where he had been sharing artwork and answering fan questions about X-Men ’97. A continuation of the popular ’90s Fox Kids show, X-Men: The Animated Series, DeMayo wrote and produced the new show. It’s unclear why he was fired from the project so close to the premiere date, but he will not be involved with potential future seasons. ©Marvel In addition to X-Men ’97, DeMayo was also a writer on Marvel and Disney’s Moon Knight and the upcoming Blade film. You can catch X-Men ’97 streaming on Disney+ starting March 20th. ©Marvel Stay tuned to DFB as we bring you the latest entertainment news, Disney news, and more! 17. Things are always changing in Disneyland — after all, that’s what Walt Disney wanted. Downtown Disney Rides close and new rides arrive. Entire lands get updated. New lands get added. Expansions are planned. Restaurants also close. That last bit might be the saddest part for us, by the way. We learned recently that a restaurant would close in Disneyland’s Downtown Disney dining and shopping district, but we’ve got some good news: the restaurant has delayed its closing date by a week. We recently told you that Tortilla Jo’s in Downtown Disney would permanently close on March 31st, 2024. Well, that closing date has changed. The restaurant will now close a week later, on April 7th. You’ll be able to make reservations for Tortilla Jo’s up through that date on the Disneyland app. Walk-in dining will also be available through its final day. Tortilla Jo’s As much as we’re going to miss that tableside guacamole (seriously, SO good), Downtown Disney will be getting three NEW Mexican restaurants by Michelin-starred Chef Carlos Gaytán. Look out for Paseo, Centrico, and Tiendita. Tiendita will be a counter-service location, offering up Chef Gaytán’s “heritage flavors on the go, with quick service Mexican street-food staples” like Esquites and Tacos al Pastor. ©Disney So if you’re wanting to order up that amazing guacamole, you’ll have one extra week to get over to Tortilla Jo’s. The counter service location Taqueria at Tortilla Jo’s, which offers customizable tacos, burritos, and bowls, will also be closing. Tortilla Jo’s Seating Stay tuned to DFB for more. 18. The Central Florida Tourism Oversight District (CFTOD) has been experiencing quite a staff shakeup lately. Reedy Creek Improvement District Once the Reedy Creek Improvement District, the CFTOD was taken over by Florida Governor Ron DeSantis, who quickly appointed his own members to the board. Since then, we’ve seen a mass employee exodus in the district and more recently, some changes to those DeSantis-appointed board members. Now, yet another CFTOD board member is out. Glen Gilzean isn’t the only Central Florida Tourism Oversight District board member to leave his post recently. According to the Associated Press, board chairman Martin Garcia has parted ways with the CFTOD. ©Central Florida Tourism Oversight Board Communications director for DeSantis, Bryan Griffin, sent an email thanking Garcia for “successfully navigating” the transition of the district from the former Reedy Creek to the DeSantis-controlled Central Florida Tourism Oversight District. Griffin continued that Garcia “developed a new district focused on transparency and the elimination of corporate welfare.” ©Central Florida Tourism Oversight Board Livestream As of now, it’s unclear whether Garcia left on his own accord or if he was pushed out, and he has not made any statements. ©Central Florida Tourism Oversight Board Livestream This comes after Glen Gilzean, former District Administrator for the Central Florida Tourism Oversight District (CFTOD), was tapped by DeSantis to step in as interim Orange County Supervisor of Elections. Gilzean’s position remains empty on the board, but DeSantis has recommended Stephanie Kopelousos for the position. Kopelousos was a top DeSantis adviser who most recently served on his campaign for president. The CFTOD board will need to approve Kopelousos’s appointment before it’s official, but as the board members were appointed by DeSantis, the change is likely to pass. Glen Gilzean ©Central Florida Tourism Oversight Board Livestream We’ll keep you updated on how these changes might impact the district as it pertains to Disney World. 19. If there’s one thing we love here at DFB, it’s a Disney World LOUNGE! Port Orleans Resort — French Quarter Lounges are like the hidden secret of Disney World dining — all the delicious eats of a sit-down restaurant with the laid-back atmosphere of a bar or quick service spot. They often have some of the best menu items across property, and you don’t need reservations to dine in them! Recently, one lounge changed up its menu, so you know I had to stop by to check out the new eats and bring you a full review. For this review, I’m taking you along with me to Scat Cat’s Club — Lounge! This spot is located at Port Orleans Resort — French Quarter, inside the main building, and it serves Louisiana-inspired cuisine. Scat Cat’s Club — Lounge signage We’ve had some really delicious eats here in the past, but with some menu shakeups, will it be just as good? Atmosphere Scat Cat’s Club — Lounge is located right next to Scat Cat’s Club — Cafe (I know, super confusing naming situation here!). While the cafe is open most of the day to serve beignets, the lounge is only open starting at 5PM. The entrance to the lounge Right at 5, I was able to walk in and pick a seat from an empty restaurant. The seating here is casual — a mix of tables with chairs and lounge chairs. The dining area There’s a stage in the middle of the club for a jazz band to perform, but they weren’t there during my visit (they only perform on Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays). There’s also a small dance floor off to the side. They’ve got a stage for jazz band performances on the weekends. You can order at the bar, or you can be seated and have a server come to your table. It’s a great vibe for a relaxing evening after a long park day! One of the seating areas Now that we’ve taken the tour, let’s get into the menu. Menu Since it’s a lounge, there’s a vast beverage menu, including an array of specialty cocktails and draft beers. Specialty beverages You can order many of the cocktails found at other Disney World restaurants here, as well as the Agave Garden mocktail. Drinks menu But what was I there for? The EATS! There are four new items on the menu — the Andouille Nachos, the Gumbo Poutine, the Spinach and Artichoke Dip, and the Shrimp Beignet Po’ Boy. What’s on the menu I do have some bad news about the menu as well — they removed the Scat Cats Beignets with dips that were previously on the menu. Now, your beignet options include classic Mickey beignets or the Baton Rouge Beignets. Eats For my meal, I decided to get three of the four new items. I ordered the Andouille Nachos, the Gumbo Poutine, and the Shrimp Beignet Po’ Boy. Look at that spread! Full spread I started out with the Gumbo Poutine so my fries wouldn’t get soggy. This dish is $12 and topped with gumbo, cheese curds, and cheese sauce. Sounded delicious to me! Gumbo Poutine And honestly? THIS is what poutine is supposed to be like, my friends! These fries were loaded in gravy and the cheese sauce was so creamy and cheesy. The cheese curds were nice, big chunks that added a squeaky and chewy textural element. Yum, yum, YUM The one downfall here is that the fries were undercooked a bit. They still had some chew to them that could be a smidge off-putting. Other than that, they were seasoned with Cajun spices and had a tiny bit of a kick. Cheesy gravy fries…who doesn’t love that? Moving on to my next dish, I had the Andouille Nachos for $13. These are topped with andouille and red bean chili, cheese sauce, trinity pico, and sour cream. The chips are corn tortilla chips. Andouille Nachos These were loaded down and got a little toppings-heavy on the top layer, but the flavors were delicious! They also have some pickled jalapenos and cilantro on top which weren’t listed on the ingredients list but added to the blend of textures and flavors. My big warning here is that these nachos are SPOICY. (Yes, that’s spicy with an extra vowel because it needs it!) They’re loaded down with toppings! After about four chips, my mouth was starting to burn, and I was chugging water like a sucker. The chili was soft and the chips were nice and crispy, but the cajun spice in chili kind of overpowered the other parts of the dish. These were SPICY Last but not least, I tried the Shrimp Beignet Po’ Boy for $15. This is a beignet bun topped with fried shrimp, lettuce, tomato, Cajun remoulade, and house-made pickles served with potato chips. However, mine was served with fries on the side, so it’s possible they were out of chips at the time. Shrimp Beignet Po’ Boy The fries were the same ones that came with the poutine, and like the poutine, they were a smidge undercooked. They’re seasoned with Cajun spices, so they have a tiny bit of heat as well. The fries But the sandwich was the real star here! The shrimp were juicy and a little bit crispy on the outside, and the lettuce and tomato really brightened up what could have been a very heavy sandwich. The beignet bun was much better than I expected because it wasn’t covered in powdered sugar…so it really just tasted like a particularly fluffy bread. Inside the sandwich So now that we’ve gone through all the eats, what were my thoughts? Overall Overall, I LOVED my meal here at Scat Cat’s Club — Lounge! The atmosphere was relaxed, the service was great, and most of the food was spectacular. The poutine was particularly delicious to me, and I would definitely try that sandwich again. Scat Cat’s Club — Lounge I’m certainly sad that they got rid of the Scat Cats Beignets (who wouldn’t want to eat beignets with pimento cheese and pepper jelly?!), but these new menu items help cushion the blow a little bit. Nosh or Not? Kick back and relax in the bayou if… You’re staying at Port Orleans. If you’re staying at Port Orleans on either the French Quarter or Riverside sides, I definitely think this restaurant is a must! It would be lovely to come one night when the band is performing and enjoy a delicious lounge meal. You don’t want to make dinner reservations. Since it’s a lounge, you don’t need to plan in advance to visit this spot! When they open, you can either walk right up to the restaurant or check the My Disney Experience app to see if the Walk-Up Waitlist is available. No reservations are required! You love Louisiana fare. The food here is all Louisiana and bayou-inspired, so if that’s your jam, this is a must! Some of the items even have a kick to them, so those with a tolerance for spicy foods will be happy. Keep on rollin’ past if… You’re dining with kids. This isn’t exactly a super kid-friendly atmosphere, with the lounge setup and the more adult-oriented menu. Your little ones will probably prefer Sassagoula Floatworks next door or a spot at Disney Springs instead. You want super hefty portions. Since this restaurant is a lounge, the food is served small plates-style, so the portions aren’t as big. You can order as many items as you want, but if you’ve got a hearty appetite, you may want to look elsewhere. You have picky eaters in your group. With some of the eats being spicy and most of them being rather inventive, this isn’t your chicken tenders and fries kind of place. Should you go here? That’s a wrap on my visit to Scat Cat’s!
