As an avid Disney fan who has been to the parks hundreds of times, I’ve experienced my fair share of Disney disasters! Disneyland From losing my cell phone in the parks to extreme sunburn to literally stepping in someone else’s sick while wearing sandals (yes, that happened to me in EPCOT!), I’ve seen and been through quite a bit. But there’s one horrifying lesson I learned in a Disneyland bathroom, and I want to share it with you so you can learn from my mistakes! During a recent trip out to the West Coast, I visited California Adventure on a particularly sunny day. Since it was bright outside, I opted to wear my favorite sunglasses to the park, hanging them on the front of my shirt whenever I walked indoors momentarily. Disney California Adventure However, I was also wearing a v-neck shirt, and that choice of storage for my sunglasses proved to be a major problem when I stepped into a bathroom stall, leaned over the toilet to grab a seat cover, and promptly watched my sunglasses complete the fall of doom into the bowl below. Fishing them out before the toilet automatically flushed was not an experience that I would like to repeat! Restrooms in Lamplight Lounge I learned a few things that day, the first being that the miniature pack of Clorox wipes I had stowed in my backpack were particularly useful! I’d already been using them to clean off sticky tables and wipe snack residue from my hands, but when my sunglasses took a nose-dive into potty water, I had never been so thankful for those wipes. (I also washed the sunglasses twice with soap and hot water, just in case!) Clorox Wipes Also, that disastrous visit to the bathroom made me realize that Disney park bathrooms are sorely lacking in storage space! It would be incredibly beneficial for them to have small shelves in the stalls for things like wallets, sunglasses, or your phone. As it is, most of the Disney World and Disneyland Resort public bathrooms only have hooks on the walls or doors. And that doesn’t help the people with smaller belongings! Disney bathrooms need more storage! Finally, I’ll let you know that it’s probably a bad idea to hang your sunglasses on your shirt while galavanting around the theme parks. (And yes, I do own a glasses case — I was just being lazy at the moment! ) Outside of this incident, I’ve also had my sunglasses fly off my shirt during a roller coaster (thankfully, the person behind me caught them in a SPECTACULAR display of reflexes!), so you’ll either want to keep a glasses case or a glasses chain on hand to prevent these problems. Disney100 Ray-Ban sunglasses Hopefully, you learned from my mistakes and you’ll join me in my dream of bathroom shelves for public restrooms — they would be so useful! Stay tuned to DFB for more theme park tips and updates. Disney Experts Share 20 Pieces of Advice You Shouldn’t Follow Anymore — Click Here! We’re getting closer and closer to Disney World opening a NEW ride! Tiana’s Bayou Adventure Concept Art ©Disney Tiana’s Bayou Adventure is being constructed in both Magic Kingdom and Disneyland, but the Magic Kingdom version is set to open FIRST this summer. Disney has been sharing sneak peeks and details of what we can expect with the new ride, and now we’ve got even more updates to show you! Previously, we got a look at some of Tiana’s “critters” that you’ll see throughout the attraction, many of which are playing various instruments. (I’m personally partial to Beau on the cello!) ©Disney But now, Disney has shared a SECOND group of critters! Here are their biographies according to Disney: Octavia the Bobcat – Octavia plays the vaksin, a single-note horn instrument popular in Rara music. She’s an adventurous bobcat kitten, and she loves climbing and hanging out in trees almost as much as she loves performing. This daredevil almost never gets scared. Pawpaw the Bobcat – Not only is Pawpaw Octavia’s devoted grandfather, but he also taught her how to play the vaksin! Pawpaw lives to make Octavia smile and has the view that everything has a way of working itself out – he’s seen it all but isn’t jaded. Claude the Louisiana Black Bear – Claude is a salt of the earth kind of bear (or, as they say in the bayou, “salt of the mound”) who plays his horn along with the other members of his family. He’s a tinkerer who loves to create with things found in the forest, and is frequently funny without intending to be, especially when it comes to his home-grown creations. Bernadette the Louisiana Black Bear – Bernadette loves to enjoy life, from splashing in the waters of her bayou home with her cub, Sebastián, to playing the horn with her mate, Claude. She’s a clear thinker and is warm and supportive. Bernadette loves to sink into the bayou waters and munch on plants (so long as Sebastián is clearly within sight). Sebastián the Louisiana Black Bear – Though he’s definitely a “mama’s cub,” Sebastián charted his own musical course as a drummer, despite his parents being devoted horn players. He’s happy to follow his friend Octavia’s adventurous lead as they explore and play, and is fascinated with the small details in the bayou, like the insects and mushrooms. Phina the Gray Fox – Phina’s enthusiasm extends beyond her drumming, as she’s constantly thinking of new ideas with optimism and energy! This imaginative fox is continually starting new projects with excitement, and her friends accept and celebrate her unique thinking. ©Disney In addition to the new slew of critters, Disney shared a first look at the Tiana’s Bayou Adventure attraction poster! The yellow and green design features Tiana in her new outfit posing in front of the mountain. There are sketches of some of the critters and Princess and the Frog characters throughout. ©Disney We can’t wait to get more information about this ride soon, hopefully including an opening date! Disney says that there are more critters to introduce still, so we’ll be waiting with bated breath for upcoming announcements. It’s time to make a McDonald’s run! YUM Here at DFB, we LOVE McDonald’s. It’s a super quick and consistent place to grab a bite to eat while you’re at Disney World (or at home), and sometimes that is just what you need after a few days of having adventurous meals. We’re also a huge fan of their Happy Meal toys, because, let’s be real — they’re too cute (or… interesting) to not want to pay attention to. McDonald’s has officially released a NEW set of Happy Meal toys, so we NEED to give y’all the update we are positive you want. We’ve seen some fun toys in the past, like small puzzles, squishmallows, and Disney figurines just to name a few. We love seeing what they come up with next and are oddly fascinated by these small toys. Their newest toy is no exception, either! ©McDonalds If you’ve ever played Just Dance, this is the toy for you! This toy features a character from Just Dance that has a variety of dance moves for you to do! But… if it’s a toy, how can it show you dance moves like it does in the game? Let’s talk about it! ©McDonalds This is what the toy comes with! The toy comes with a cutout of the character, a stand for you to put them in, a few cards featuring dance moves, and of course — instructions! You’ll follow the instructions, place the cutout in the stand, and then spin it! When you spin it, one of the sides should land leaning on the table — and that is the dance move you do! Each side of the stand corresponds with one of the cards that demonstrates the dance moves. ©McDonalds Here are all of the characters! We think this is SO fun, and we can’t wait to get our hands on it so that we can relive our 2012 lives when we LIVED to play Just Dance. You can grab these toys at locations throughout the U.S., let us know what character you get! McDonald’s We’re obsessed with these toys, and we can’t wait to see all of the dance moves. We’re keeping our eyes out for all of the fun Happy Meal toys news, so keep checking in with us at DFB to see what we find next! 10 of the Best Fast Food Values in Disney World Need Disney Restaurant Advice? We’re in the heat of Spring Break season in Disney World, and the parks are HOPPING! Crowds Some of the busiest times to visit Disney World are the weeks before and after Easter, and this year is no different. We’ve seen incredibly high wait times, limited availability with Disney Park Passes, and very high prices for Genie+. That trend continues on the morning of Tuesday, April 2nd! For the past several days, Genie+ has been continually hovering at $39 per person for the multi-park option, which is the highest price we’ve ever seen it. Even Animal Kingdom, which is often the cheapest park, has been priced at $29 per person. Genie+ On top of that, all five of the Individual Lightning Lane options (Seven Dwarfs Mine Train, TRON Lightcycle / Run, Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind, Rise of the Resistance, and Flight of Passage) were completely sold out shortly after 9AM, which is when the last Disney World park opened this morning. Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind Several popular Genie+ Lightning Lanes also booked up within the first few hours of the day, including Frozen Ever After, Remy’s Ratatouille Adventure, and Slinky Dog Dash. Keep in mind that these could pop back up later in the day as people modify and cancel their plans, so keep refreshing the app and checking back. Slinky Dog Dash If you’re going to Disney World this week, remember to pack your patience! The parks will be very crowded and the wait times will be high, but if you rope drop, use Genie+ effectively, and set a list of priorities, you should be able to still have a great vacation. We believe in you! It will be busy! Stay tuned to DFB for more updates from Disney World this week and all the tips you need to conquer your vacation. Staying in a hotel room can be exciting and daunting at the same time. Disney’s Animal Kingdom Lodge Hotel Room Exciting because it means you’re on vacation, but nerve-wracking because you have no way of knowing who has been in that hotel room before you or if it’s been cleaned properly. If you’re as anxious as some of us are about germs, here are a few things you should NEVER use in your hotel room. The Iron Now, hear us out. Ironing may be the last thing you likely want to do on your vacation, but some people who have to travel for work or for special events very much may use it. However, did you know there was an internet trend where people admitted to using the iron to reheat certain types of food, like pizza? Ironing board and in-room safe YIKES. Yes, we’re not kidding. Irons aren’t typically something the cleaning crew at hotels think about people using for food, so we totally wouldn’t expect them to check it for cheese residue. But if you don’t have to iron your clothes, maybe stay away just in case. Coffee Pot We know coffee is a morning essential for many people (we are also those people), but using the coffee pot in your room isn’t something we’d necessarily recommend because again — it may have been rinsed out by the people before you, but then if it looks clean and unused, why would the cleaning crew think to fully clean it? Coffee Pot Now, a coffee maker is a little different, but we’d still say proceed with caution and don’t use any of the reusable coffee mugs in the room (unless you fully wash them before you use them). Disposable cups should be fine, as well as using your own cup or mug, but just be check the coffee maker before you start and make sure it doesn’t look gross. Shower Products If you’re someone who has very specific shower products you use, whether it’s because you have sensitive skin, your hair requires specific care, or you’re allergic to certain scents/products, DO NOT use the shower products in your hotel room. Shower Products While there’s nothing wrong with these products, per se, they’re typically not the highest quality, so if you’ve got skin or hair that’s very sensitive, you’ll definitely want to bring your own products. However, these are otherwise great in a pinch, especially if you’re at Disney! TV Remote This is likely one you’ve heard before, especially if you’re a germaphobe. Lots of people use the TVs in their hotel rooms, which means many people touch them. Sometimes you’ll see them in a bag, indicating they’ve been cleaned, but otherwise, there’s no way to guarantee that the remote hasn’t been touched by approximately 1,000 people before you without being cleaned. TV Remote When in doubt, we recommend bringing some cleaning wipes with you and just wiping it down quickly to get rid of any leftover germs. It’s quick, easy, and it’ll bring you some peace of mind — while you’re at it, you can wipe down some other high-touch spots in the room! Pixar Place Hotel Room Ultimately, most hotels do a great job with cleaning in between guests (Disney especially), but it’s always good to be prepared with some wipes of your own if germs are a concern for you. Sauce lovers can OFFICIALLY breathe a sigh of relief D-Luxe Burger We know A LOT of things have been happening with our favorite sauces in Disney World recently. Between Chicken Guy cutting their sauce collection in HALF (we’re still trying to heal from that one), and having a very hard time finding Honey Mustard at various quick-service restaurants throughout Disney World — we’ve been going through it over here. It has felt like the things we love have been taken away from us time and time again — until right now. We can’t help that we LOVE our sauces. They’re an important part of any meal, and seeing these things being taken away with little to no explanation has been hard. Luckily, sauce lovers can take a breath and celebrate a victory. These were the ONLY sauces! We took a visit to D-Luxe Burger to check out their sauce situation. After some harsh disappointment recently where they took some of their self-serve sauces away, we felt the need to go check back in for an update. We know that you could still get the sauces at the counter if you asked, but we like the idea of being able to grab any of them whenever we wanted… like we said, we LOVE sauces over here. Inside D-Luxe Burger Well, when we walked in we were met with a MIRACLE. We saw all 6 shiny sauce dispensers, lined up and ready for us to use. It truly felt like a life-changing moment, and we felt such a huge weight being lifted off of our shoulders. We love having sauce options! Now, you are able to get their Chipotle Mayo, Garlic Ranch, Truffle Aioli, Barbeque, 1921, and Buffalo Ranch sauce to your heart’s content. This is a miracle! We’re hoping that these dispensers are back out for the long haul, because we’re not sure how much we can handle them being taken away from us again. Now, we’re hoping Chicken Guy will follow suit and bring back ALL of their saucy goodness, too! SOME of the sauces! We always have an eye out for any restaurant updates and changes, so keep checking back in with us at DFB to see what we find next! 15 Cheap But Filling Disney World Snacks For When You’re Ballin’ On a Budget What is your favorite sauce that can be found at Disney World? Are you traveling to Disney World with a little one? Conservation Station There are certainly challenges to bringing a baby to Disney World, but people do it every day. You have to think about your baby’s comfort. You might have to pick a good stroller (or rent one) for walking around the parks. You’ll need to make sure you pack all your necessities, including diapers. But we just found something VERY useful in one part of Disney World that may help you if you find yourself in need of a diaper. If you’re in Disney’s Animal Kingdom, you may want to visit Conservation Station at Rafiki’s Planet Watch. To do that, you have to take the Wildlife Express Train to get there. Here’s the problem, though: the Wildlife Express Train may not have enough space for your stroller. If you’ve got a baby, what do you do? The Wildlife Express Well, you can park your stroller nearby, but what if you forget your diaper bag or other essentials? What if you need to change a diaper? Well, Disney’s got you covered! You can get Pampers Diaper Changing Kits in the vending machine at Conservation Station. Convenient, right? These machines have snacks, too, just in case you need them. Diaper Changing Kits Each diaper changing kit, which costs $3.50, comes with two diapers plus wipes. If you happen to need more wipes, you can find a pack of 16 in the machine, too. Wipes are available, too. This is actually a great thing for Disney to have thought of because so many strollers don’t fit on the Wildlife Express train. We guess Disney DOES think of everything. Of course, if you need other baby essentials, each park in Disney World also has a Baby Care Center. Baby Care Center Stay tuned to DFB for more! We’ve dined in space. We’ve dined outside (inside) at a retro drive-in movie theater. We’ve dined beside a GIGANTIC aquarium. Disney goes ALL-OUT with its restaurants. But a challenger has entered the arena. Space 220 There is a restaurant that literally takes you on a culinary adventure. No, we’re not just talking about a unique menu with exotic dishes. No. This restaurant is part dining room-part-attraction. You have to see it. Admittedly, the name feels a little silly, and the price is pretty high, but you need to look past all that. Eatrenalin (as in, “eat” + “adrenaline”) first debuted in November 2022 in Rust, Germany. You can find the experience at Europa-Park Resort, but make sure to carve out plenty of time for this meal. From start to finish, your Eatrenalin experience lasts over two hours and involves an eight-course meal. The prices range from 255,00 € to 645,00 €, or about $275.08 to $695.77, depending on the dining package you choose. ©Eatrenalin According to the website, this is a “multisensory production, during which all details are perfectly aligned in order to send your senses on a unique journey.” Here’s a look at the restaurant. From the outside, it looks like a rather mysterious building, but what until you see what’s inside. ©Eatrenalin This is your ride vehicle, a.k.a. a floating chair that will take you from room to room as you eat, drink, and take in all the physical and audio-visual elements. During the experience, you may end up in a variety of environments including an ocean scene and spacelike atmosphere. ©Eatrenalin OK, this is pretty amazing, right? This isn’t the first time we’ve shown this place off, but honestly, it’s too good not to discuss it again. ©Eatrenalin Let’s talk about the food. This restaurant offers all kinds of intriguing options, including crispy duck, nigiri with shiso, short rib, and a blood orange dessert. Each course has a special name, like “Indulgent Introduction,” “Waterfall,” “Discovery,” “Ocean,” and “Taste.” ©Eatrenalin This may be one of the most UNIQUE dining options we’ve EVER seen. Surprise! We found something NEW in EPCOT! EPCOT We’ve been so busy looking out for clues about the final stages of the EPCOT Transformation that a SECRET new Disney show snuck right in and shocked us ALL! Wait until you see what we found in the World Celebration Gardens at EPCOT. OK, first, a little background. A brand-new Festival Area is coming SOON to EPCOT. This space will act as the new “home base” for EPCOT’s seasonal Festivals and live events when it opens on June 10th, 2024! Yes, you read that right. It’s opening this June! Look out for CommuniCore Hall and CommuniCore Plaza in EPCOT’s World Celebration, along with a new Mickey & Friends character meet-and-greet area. ©Disney CommuniCore Plaza will be an outdoor space where guests can experience all the EPCOT festivals. It will also include a new area for large-scale concerts or intimate performances that extend out into the nearby gardens. CommuniCore Plaza ©Disney Up until now, no one seemed to pay much attention to this part of the description: “intimate performances that extend out into the nearby gardens.” But something caught out eye, and now, those words make a whole lot more sense! World Celebration Gardens On March 31st, we spotted something NEW near one of the new “hero features” (big artistic elements like topiaries and sculptures) in the World Celebration Gardens. At first, we were a little confused. What’s up with this structure? Is it a stage? We checked the My Disney Experience app, but no new entertainment was listed in EPCOT. What is THIS?! From there, we spoke to a Cast Member, who told us that a NEW show is debuting in EPCOT called Forces of Nature. According to a Cast Member, the show will take place at 10:15AM, 11: 15AM, 12:15PM, 1:10,2:10PM, and 3:10PM. Let’s check it out! The new acrobatic show was about 15 minutes long, and comes from the same company that provides the Art Defying Gravity entertainment during the EPCOT Festival of the Arts! There were five AMAZING acrobatic performers who performed some impressive stunts on a large globe-like stage. We couldn’t look away. Forces of Nature There was music. There was dancing. There were poses we could NEVER do ourselves. STUNNING! We had so much fun watching this show. What a fun show! We won’t spoil the story for you, but as the name implies, there was a lot of nature-inspired movement in the show. Check it out! As we mentioned, the show is not currently listed on the My Disney Experience app, but Cast Members told us they expect the show to take place daily. This was SO fun! We were SO lucky to catch this new show in EPCOT; come check it out during your next visit! In the meantime, we’re always on the lookout for the latest Disney news, so stay tuned for more. It’s Spring Break in Disney World…which is a nightmare for a lot of people. But it doesn’t have to be! Main Street, U.S.A Yes, Spring Break and Easter weekend are notoriously busy times in the parks, and that has stayed true this year. Genie+ is selling out at record-high prices, and Park Passes are filling up — but we’ve got tips on how to stay sane and still have an awesome Disney vacation! Now it’s time to take a look at the wait time patterns from the past week so you can prepare for your upcoming trip! Take a deep breath because (spoiler alert) they’ve increased. Like, a LOT. Take a look at this week’s average wait times — going from highest to lowest! Magic Kingdom Wait Times Despite the decreases in wait times last week, things have made a harsh turnaround in Magic Kingdom. For example, Seven Dwarfs Mine Train went from a 67-minute average to a 90-minute average! And that’s just the start…keep scrolling to see the rest! We’ve seen a lot of these lately with the long lines! EPCOT is a fan-favorite park and with the Flower & Garden Festival in full swing, it’s PLENTY busy. Although we would always like to think that our Disney World trips are going to be perfect, sometimes they’re not. Hi, guys!! You can’t count on things to go right. Sometimes, the weather is just awful. It’s either super rainy or it’s just so hot that you can’t see straight. Or maybe your favorite ride is closed. Maybe the crowds are just getting to be too much. We’ve all faced these things. So we’re going to tell you about times we thought we were just about to give up, and then tell you how we carried on. We dealt with miserable weather Everyone on the DFB team has faced some miserable weather in Disney World. There are days when the rain NEVER lets up (and when it’s winter, it can get cold, believe it or not). Or there are other days where it’s so hot and humid that it makes you feel so BLAH. We know everyone wants to maximize their time in the parks because they paid for those tickets, but get this: You paid for your hotel room, too. Rainy day in Magic Kingdom So what we do is take a break We leave the parks and go back to our hotel room. We mobile order some food and snacks, and sometimes we just change out of our wet or sweaty clothes and into our pajamas and watch Disney+ from our hotel bed. This is one of the best ways to recharge, and we promise you’ll feel better after. 6 Places You DO NOT Want To Be in Disney World When It Rains We missed a character meet and greet There’s just so much to do in Disney World that it’s way too easy to miss something like meeting your favorite character. That can be really disappointing (especially if you have kids who want to meet that character, but we Disney adults can get disappointed, too). So you just might think you’ll be leaving Disney World without meeting that character. Dug But wait! Unless it’s your last day in Disney World, you may have an opportunity to see that character in a different park. Many of the characters appear in all four parks, so all you need to do is check the My Disney Experience app for their appearances and times. Where to Find All the Disney Character Meet-and-Greets in Walt Disney World We got overwhelmed by crowds Y’all, even when Disney World ISN’T super busy, sometimes the crowds in Magic Kingdom can be…a lot. This is the most popular park and you’ll know that the minute you rope drop and see the long lines waiting to get in. Dealing with all that, especially when it’s a busy day, can get to be too much. We’ve been overwhelmed by crowds before — we’ll admit it. Crowds at Magic Kingdom can be a lot So here’s what we did: We left. Yep, we left Magic Kingdom. If you just need to get away, you can head back to your hotel or you can hop on the Monorail and visit the Polynesian Village, Grand Floridian, or Contemporary Resorts. (Pro tip: go to the Polynesian if you want to grab a Dole Whip). Or head to Disney Springs…on weekdays, it’s hardly that crowded at all. Sometimes you don’t need to tough it out. You can have a great time ANYWHERE in Disney World. Disney World Crowds Have Gotten Unpredictable. Here’s How To Make That Not Matter. We didn’t get that dining reservation we wanted Have you always dreamed of dining at Cinderella’s Royal Table, but just couldn’t get a reservation before your trip? It’s a bummer, for sure, but there’s always hope! First, we’re going to recommend that you get the DFB Guide To Walt Disney World Dining so you can find suitable alternatives or even learn how to snag last-minute reservations. Cinderella’s Royal Table Don’t forget, though, that you can also keep checking because folks don’t have to cancel reservations until two hours before their reservation, so you might snag one that way, too. Plus you can check the Mobile Dine Walk-Up Waitlist and get into that restaurant that way. Get the DFB Guide to Walt Disney World Dining Here! We forgot to buy that souvenir we wanted Imagine this: You’re in a Disney World shop and you see the PERFECT souvenir in a park, but you decide to buy it later. But then you forget that you were going to buy it later and you’ve left the park. Oh no!!! The good news is that you may still be able to get that souvenir before you go home. Forgot to get that souvenir you wanted? If you’re out of park days, you can always check for that item at Disney Springs or even at your hotel gift shop (although those shops are generally pretty small). You may even find that souvenir at the Orlando International Airport. If all else fails, check The Disney Store website when you get home to see if it’s available online. STOP Shopping for Souvenirs in Disney World (Do THIS Instead!) So, yes, it’s easy to get frustrated at Disney World when things don’t quite go according to plan, but there’s usually a way to make it better, we promise! Magic Kingdom is expecting a few new attractions in 2024! Magic Kingdom Most notable is Tiana’s Bayou Adventure, of course, but we also have the new Country Bear Jamboree on the way this year. However, there is this very…strange one. Here’s everything we know about a bizarre new attraction coming to Storybook Circus. Smellephants on Parade was announced in July of 2023 as a new attraction coming to Storybook Circus. It’s going to be presented by Scentsy and is described as a “family-friendly ‘search and sniff’ adventure.” Yes…search and sniff…in a theme park. ©Disney Here’s a closer look at the concept art. If Disney sticks to its original plans, we expect to see a big old elephant by the Storybook Circus entrance. But this isn’t any old elephant. He’s covered in a popcorn pattern! If we had to guess, it’s safe to assume he will smell like POPCORN. ©Disney Back in November, we started to notice signs in Storybook Circus that said “Presented by Scentsy,” and a Cast Member told us to get ready for the experience. Scentsy sign! “Presented by Scentsy” signs started popping up all over the place! Could this indicate that “Smellephants on Parade” will be spread throughout Storybook Circus? We’ve noticed signs all over the area, so it could indicate that this interactive experience will take up more than one small part of Storybook Circus. Plus, the concept art only shows one elephant, yet the experience is called “SmellephantS on Parade.” Maybe more scented elephants will be spread around the area! And another one! With all that new signage, we were hoping that meant something BIG was coming soon. Well, after that, we didn’t see anything else happen in the area until February 2024. Dumbo sign with Scentsy addition In February, we noticed that bushes and foliage were removed over near the Casey Jr. Splash ‘n Soak Station, making the area look pretty bare. Having the bushes out of the way would make it easier to install the new attraction, but again, nothing happened. More land cleared That brings us to this March. We noticed that Disney filed a permit for “the installation of show sets.” The address listed on the permit coincides with where Storybook Circus is (and where Smellephants on Parade will be), so it’s highly likely these sets are for the new attraction. ©Orange County, Florida What else do we know? Well, we can look for clues in EPCOT! That’s because EPCOT is home to another Scentsy attraction! During the EPCOT Flower and Garden Festival, Scentsy sponsors the Blossoms of Fragrance experience, where you can check out some garden-inspired scents by visiting scent stations set up near some floral topiaries. Let’s get smelling! Those stations have little signs for you to lean in and smell some springtime scents. While Disney hasn’t revealed exactly what “Smellephants on Parade” will include, we’re wondering if it will be similar to the Blossoms of Fragrance experience. What do you think? Blossoms of Fragrance Garden We’re really hoping to get more information on this attraction soon because we have to admit that we don’t have much information to work with. Come on, Disney! Tell us MORE! We’ll be sure to let you know as soon as we hear more, so stay tuned to DFB! Join the DFB Newsletter to get all the breaking news right in your inbox! Click here to Subscribe! It’s no secret that this is a busy time of year for Disney World. Crowds in Magic Kingdom It’s the Spring Break travel season, which means a LOT of folks have flown into Orlando International Airport and are heading for Disney World. We’ve seen some pretty serious crowds recently, along with some high Genie+ prices, and it looks like that could be the case next week. In fact, if you’re someone who still needs a park pass reservation to visit Disney World, you’ll find that one park is completely SOLD OUT for three days next week. So here’s the deal: not everyone needs a park pass reservation to get into Disney World’s theme parks. In fact, if you have a date-based ticket, you’re good to go. However, some ticket types still require a reservation. That includes Annual Passholders, Cast Members, student groups, and others. Magic Kingdom entrance For those with theme park tickets or resort guests, Magic Kingdom park pass reservations are completely gone on April 1st, 2nd, 3rd, and 4th. However, the other three theme parks are available on those dates. You’ll also find availability for all four parks on April 5th and 6th. If you’re planning on visiting Magic Kingdom next week, though, we recommend grabbing those reservations ASAP. Magic Kingdom Park Passes aren’t available for annual passholders on four days this week. For those with an Annual Pass, Incredi Pass and Sorcerer Passholders still have availability for all four parks for the whole week. Again, though, that could change quickly, so if you’re visiting Magic Kingdom, make that reservation ASAP. ©Disney However, those with a Pirate Pass or Pixie Dust Pass are blocked out from all four parks for next week. ©Disney The Spring Break season will be winding down soon enough, but this summer could be pretty busy, at least in Magic Kingdom: Not only is Tiana’s Bayou Adventure set to open this summer, but the Country Bear Jamboree is set to reopen with a brand new show. This could be one of the busiest summers we’ve seen in a while! We also took a look at park hours. Magic Kingdom will be open from 8AM-11PM every day next week. Extended Evening Hours are on April 3rd from 11PM-1AM. ©Disney The hours at EPCOT are 9AM-9PM all week. Extended Evening Hours are on April 1st from 9PM-11PM. ©Disney At Hollywood Studios, the hours are from 9AM-9:30AM on March 30th and April 6th. The hours are from 8:30AM-9:30AM on April 1st through 5th. An After Hours event is on April 3rd from 9:30PM to 12:30AM. ©Disney Finally, Animal Kingdom is open from 8AM-8PM on March 31st and April 1st through 5th. The hours for April 6th are from 8AM to 7PM. ©Disney As always, we recommend checking for park pass availability on the Disney World website if you need to make a reservation. You’ll also want to keep an eye on park hours on the website or the My Disney Experience app because those can change, too. If you’re like us, you probably don’t feel settled at the airport until you’ve dropped off your luggage, made it through security, and laid eyes on your gate. In fact, we often can’t breathe that sigh of relief until we’re in our seat, on the plane, and ready to take off. Anyone else? Orlando Airport The airport can be a BUSY place — especially during a holiday like Thanksgiving, spring break, or Christmas. But there are ways to combat the crowds! Don’t want to wait in the standby line at the airport? Turns out there are all kinds of secret “skip-the-line” services you can use at the airport; you just have to know where to look! We’ve told you about MCO Reserve. We’ve shared all kinds of tips about how to prepare for a long TSA line at the Orlando Airport. But there’s one MORE service we need to talk about — and using it is free! ©Orlando International Airport There’s a special program called Delta Digital ID, and with the support of the Transportation Security Administration, eligible Delta SkyMiles Members can save some time at the airport! The service is still being tested, but you can try it out NOW at five airports, including Atlanta (ATL), Detroit (DTW), Los Angeles (LAX) and New York (LGA and JFK). We HATE waiting in long lines at the airport! OK, so here’s how it works. Delta Digital ID uses “facial matching” to allow members to use dedicated bag drops and security lines, “allowing you to breeze through without having to take out your phone or wallet.” That’s right — imagine a world where you don’t even need your phone or wallet at the airport. Now THAT’S the future. ©Delta Where do we sign up?! Well, to be eligible for Delta Digital ID, you must: Be a SkyMiles Member (It’s free to join) Enroll in TSA Precheck (and have a Known Traveler Number) Have a valid U.S. passport That’s all you need! As long as you qualify, this service is free to use, and participation is optional. Keep in mind that TSA Precheck is free for active military members, DoD civilian employees, and other qualifying citizens, including those with select Travel Rewards Credit Cards. ©Delta To activate Delta Digital ID, you must enter your passport information and TSA PreCheck Known Traveler Number in your Delta SkyMiles profile. Then, opt into Delta Digital ID within your SkyMiles profile or at check-in using your Fly Delta app. Once you’re at the airport, look for a green “Digital ID” sign at dedicated bag drop locations and security lines. Orlando International Airport This handy feature can help you save some serious time at the airport! We’ll keep our eyes out for updates to see if Delta rolls out this service to more airports. In the meantime, we’re always on the lookout for the latest travel news, so stay tuned for more.
