Y’all. It is HARD being a fan of streaming shows because you just never know what their fate will be and when your show might wind up canceled. ©Apple You really get into a show, and next thing you know, it’s canceled — and you’re often left with a cliffhanger of an ending. We’ve seen it happen with a lot of popular shows, too, leaving many fans scratching their heads and asking, “WHY?” Well, if you’re a fan of Mythic Quest on Apple TV+, you’re going to be asking the same thing because Variety has confirmed the series has been officially axed by the streaming subscription service. Mythic Quest is a comedy that follows the staff of a video game studio that has created a popular MMORPG game. The cast included Rob McElhenney (who also co-created the show), Charlotte Nicdao, Hornsby, Danny Pudi, Ashly Burch, Imani Hakim, Jessie Ennis, and Naomi Ekperigin. The series recently aired its season four finale before Apple TV+ announced its cancelation. ©Apple TV+ HOWEVER, there is some good news. The series will get an updated finale episode with a new ending that will premiere on Apple TV+ next week. Mythic Quest executive producers Megan Ganz, David Hornsby, and Rob McElhenney said: “Endings are hard. But after four incredible seasons, Mythic Quest is coming to a close. We’re so proud of the show and the world we got to build—and deeply grateful to every cast and crew member who poured their heart into it. To all our fans, thank you for playing with us. To our partners at Apple, thank you for believing in the vision from the very beginning. Because endings are hard, with Apple’s blessing we made one final update to our last episode—so we could say goodbye, instead of just game over.” ©Apple TV+ Mythic Quest was one of the first original shows produced by Apple TV+, and since its first episode, it’s been a hit with critics and fans alike. The show’s four seasons currently have a 97% rating on Rotten Tomatoes. Stay tuned to DFB for more. Okay, I’ve got a big beef with Disney World’s Lightning Lane Multi Pass. Lightning Lane Multi Pass pamphlet So here’s the deal…I’ve been going to Disney World for almost 30 years (my first trip was in 1996 during the Birthday Cake Castle debacle — and yes, I was a little upset). I’ve also been going to Disneyland since 2014 (y’all, this is already making me feel old). I love both, although there are some things I think Disney World does better (hello, park security), and I think there are some things Disneyland does better (ALL the characters). But I do have one MASSIVE gripe about Disney World’s Lightning Lane Multi Pass that I need to get off my chest. So Lightning Lane Multi Pass is a service that you pay for each day that lets you skip the standby lines at rides and access the shorter Lightning Lanes. It’s usually a huge time-saver and I generally buy it when I visit both Disney World and Disneyland. But there’s one massive thing I find wrong with Lightning Lane Multi Pass in Disney World. Mickey & Minnie’s Runaway Railway Lightning Lane Okay, so if you buy Lightning Lane Multi Pass in Disneyland, you get unlimited downloads for each day you buy the service of ALL your PhotoPass photos. This includes ride photos, but also any photos you pose for with a Disneyland photographer, including Magic Shots. Immediately, that makes Lightning Lane Multipass worth it in Disneyland and Disney California Adventure, especially considering that you’d otherwise pay $99.99 per day with Disney PhotoPass+, a service that ONLY gets you photos. Disneyland Photopass photographer However, if you pay for Lightning Lane Multi Pass in Disney World, you only get ride photos and videos. You do NOT get any other PhotoPass photos or Magic Shots. Instead, if you want digital downloads of ALL your PhotoPass photos, you’re going to have to pay for them through Memory Maker, which is $185 if you pay in advance of your trip. This is also nonrefundable, so if you end up with a ton of photos you hate, you’re just going to have to live with them. ©Disney This is one thing that Disneyland absolutely does better: You should be able to get all your photos in Disney World, too, if you purchase Lightning Lane Multi Pass. Even if you opt for the more expensive Lightning Lane Premier Pass, you STILL don’t get those photo downloads — and that pass is NOT cheap (anywhere from $129 to $449 per day, depending on the date and park). PhotoPass I get it — the two parks are unique in their own ways and they operate differently. One is a tourist destination, while the other tends to cater to more of a local base. But still, I’d feel a lot better about paying for Lightning Lane Multi Pass in Disney World if I knew I could get all my photos, too. It’s a minor complaint, but Disney World needs to learn to offer more value to those who purchase these extra paid options like Lighting Lane Multi Pass that were once 100% free (I still miss you, FastPass+). Stay tuned to DFB for more. If you needed another reason to stay at Disney’s Pop Century Resort this summer, Disney just gave us one! Pop Century Resort When staying at this resort, you get fun theming, a new coffee bar, access to the Skyliner, and now, a big perk! Disney dropped a lot of news recently about hotel and ticket deals for this summer and new activities for kids in the parks. The other new perk, specifically for this hotel and a few others will begin this summer as well. This summer, guests staying at select resorts – Disney’s Art of Animation Resort, Disney’s Pop Century Resort, Disney’s Caribbean Beach Resort, and Disney’s Wilderness Lodge – will be able to enjoy even more Disney-themed activities designed for families with kids. Hippy Dippy Pool Disney shared that these activities will include character visits with set times. This is to help you plan your day to make time for these characters. This is a program we’ve seen in a few places in recent months, and now this will be regularly scheduled all summer. Wilderness Lodge sign That’s not the only reason to stay at Pop Century. We recently reported on a Southwest Luggage service that has been added to this resort. You can send your bags straight to the airport without worrying about checking your luggage at Orlando Airport if you are flying Southwest. Southwest Luggage If you are staying at a Disney Value Resort hotel, you can drop your checked baggage off with Luggage Assistance. This allows your bags to be delivered directly to your flight. At this time, this service is ONLY available for Southwest Airlines flights departing from Orlando International Airport. Luggage Check This is a HUGE perk for Disney World hotel guests — you can save a LOT of time at the airport! Disney suggests that at the beginning of your stay, you should check in at your Disney Value Resort hotel and call or visit Luggage Assistance to take advantage of this service. It’s basically Star Wars time of year, and we are SO HERE FOR IT. Yep, a huge celebration of all things Star Wars is happening RIGHT NOW in Disneyland called Season of the Force — and it even includes some new food items. Ewok! But beyond the food, we’ve also just attended the first Star Wars Nite of the year, AND we’re looking forward to May the 4th. Of course, that means that a lot of new Star Wars merchandise is dropping in shops, and we just found some brand NEW Starbucks Discovery Series Star Wars mugs focused on planets that you’ll only find in a galaxy far, far away. The new Star Wars Starbucks Discovery Series mugs have arrived — we found them in Star Trader in Tomorrowland in Disneyland. Several planets are represented, too, including Geonosis. This mug features The Mandalorian, Yoda, Mace Windu, and more. Geonosis There’s also a mug representing Kashyyyk, the home of the Wookiees. So yes, Chewbacca is on this mug, as well as the trees native to the planet, as well as more Wookiees. Kashyyyk Of course, one of the most iconic planets in Star Wars is Tatooine, where a young Luke Skywalker grew up and Ben (formerly Obi-Wan) Kenobi lived as a hermit. So, of course, there’s a Tatooine mug with Luke’s father, Anakin, as a boy, characters from the prequel movies, Jabba the Hutt, a cantina band, and more. Tatooine These mugs are a must for Star Wars fans, and they are quite the collectibles. If you want to get your hands on them, you’ll need to head to Disneyland ASAP. They’re not online yet (believe us, we checked), but if they do drop online, we’ll be sure to let you know. Stay tuned to DFB for more — and May The Force Be With You. An iconic entertainment venue on Disney’s Boardwalk is closing in Disney World soon! You only have ONE week left to grab a few more drinks and sing along to the dueling pianos at Jellyrolls, so make that one week count. Jellyrolls Jellyrolls at Disney’s BoardWalk is officially closing on April 19th, 2025. This entertainment venue has provided our team with countless memories, and we know many others are also sad to see it close. Inside Jellyrolls, you will find two dueling piano players who take requests from the audience. It is an exciting, boisterous atmosphere as the audience sings and dances along to the songs. If you want one last hoorah before Jellyrolls says goodbye to the BoardWalk, this is your last week! Dueling Pianos at Jellyrolls However, this isn’t the end for Jellyrolls, as the bar has said they are “making a move.” We don’t know many details about that move yet, but we will keep you updated. Jellyroll’s final night in Disney World will be a first-come, first-serve final farewell performance. Doors will open at 6 PM, and the dueling pianos will start at 6:15 PM. Admission is $22 per person, and you must be 21 or older to enter. Keep reading below to see what other attractions and locations will be closed this week, April 12th through April 19th! Magic Kingdom Playground at Dumbo the Flying Elephant The indoor children’s playground inside the Dumbo the Flying Elephant queue closed for refurbishment on February 24th, 2025. While the playground is closed, the ride is still open and available for kids of all ages to soar through the sky! Dumbo the Flying Elephant The indoor playground is expected to reopen in Spring 2025. Hall of Presidents The Hall of Presidents closed at Magic Kingdom on January 20th. Hall of Presidents The attraction will be closed until later in 2025, though Disney has not shared a specific date. We will keep an eye out for updates, though! The closure is likely to change the current president, as January 20th marked Inauguration Day. While it is closed, other maintenance and routine work may also be happening. Astro Orbiter If you want to blast off into space, you’ll have to head over to Space Mountain because Astro Orbiter is temporarily closed for refurbishment! Astro Orbiter Astro Orbiter closed as of January 13th and is planned to reopen in the summer of 2025. No specific date has been announced for the high-in-the-sky ride, but we’ll keep our eyes peeled for an update from Disney. The ride has currently been completely dismantled and is being refurbished elsewhere. It definitely looks a little barren as you are walking into Tomorrowland right now! I Paid $480 for a Magic Kingdom Fireworks Cruise, and I Would Do It Again Big Thunder Mountain Railroad On January 6th, Big Thunder Mountain Railroad closed for an extended temporary closure. New track at Big Thunder Mountain The “Wildest Ride in the Wilderness” will be closed for at least a year and will reopen sometime in 2026. The ride will be undergoing maintenance while it is closed. When it reopens, it will have some “new magic,” according to Disney. We can’t wait to see what changes will be coming to this ever-popular roller coaster! Tomorrowland Terrace Tomorrowland Terrace is a quick-service restaurant that has been closed since the 2020 pandemic-related closures, but even before that, this spot was only occasionally open. Tomorrowland Terrace Once in a while, you’ll see the dining room open as a rest area (and it’s still being used for the Magic Kingdom Fireworks Dessert Parties), but it’s usually all roped off and empty. Disney hasn’t announced when this spot could finally reopen, but we’ll be watching for updates. If you’re looking for a nice spot to hang out in Disney World and take a rest, this could be it! Tortuga Tavern Just like Tomorrowland Terrace, Tortuga Tavern is also a seasonal restaurant in Magic Kingdom. It has been a bit since we have seen it open. Most recently, it was used as a cookie location for Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party. Tortuga Tavern We had previously spotted shrubs around the restaurant as they worked on the flooring. However, all the shrubs have been taken down now. We don’t know exactly when/if this restaurant will reopen, but we will keep you updated if we learn more! What I Wish I Knew Before I Visited Magic Kingdom in 2025 EPCOT Test Track Test Track closed on June 17th, 2024 and Disney is giving this ride a BIG makeover! Test Track Disney has shared that the new version of Test Track will take inspiration from the old ride, World of Motion, that was originally there when the park opened in 1982. Disney shared more details at D23: The Ultimate Disney Fan Experience, and an updated opening timeline was just announced! We’ll be able to ride Test Track once again in late summer 2025. Restaurant Marrakesh Restaurant Marrakesh is currently closed as a dining location in the Morocco pavilion of EPCOT’s World Showcase, and there’s no word yet on when the restaurant could fully reopen. Restaurant Marrakesh Occasionally, we’ll see it open as a lounge or Kidcot Fun Stop. So, if you’re in the Morocco Pavilion, check it out to see if it’s open. We’re watching for updates on when the full restaurant could reopen! Something NEW Just Arrived at the Germany Pavilion in EPCOT Animal Kingdom It’s Tough to Be a Bug It’s Tough to Be a Bug is officially closed for good. This attraction in Disney’s Animal Kingdom invited you to join the bug kingdom on an adventure. While the show didn’t usually make it to the top of favorite attractions in Disney World, it has now officially closed to make way for a new show. It’s Tough to be a Bug! It’s Tough to Be a Bug closed on March 17th. The show is permanently closed to make way for a brand-new show, “Zootopia: Better Zoogether!” expected to debut in winter 2025. TriceraTop Spin, Chester & Hester’s Dinosaur Treasures, and Fossil Fun Game were closed down, and construction has begun on the brand-new land themed to the Tropical Americas, Pueblo Esperanza. The walls have been up since the closure, and things have been disappearing from behind the walls. Almost everything has been taken down behind the walls, including the large green dinosaur. DinoLand Construction It is definitely a sad sight, but we are also excited to see Pueblo Esperanza! DINOSAUR, Restaurantosaurus, the snack stands, and The Boneyard remain open. Disney hasn’t announced an official closing date for the rest of DinoLand. However, they have announced that “2025 is your year to visit before it goes extinct!” My Very Blunt Reason for Not Riding This Animal Kingdom Ride Disney’s Hollywood Studios Lightning McQueen’s Racing Academy The Cars-themed show featuring Lighting McQueen permanently closed on October 8th, 2024, to make way for a brand-new Villains show. Lightning McQueen’s Racing Academy The Cars show was previously housed in the Sunset Showcase building, but the last day for guests to enjoy it was October 7th. The new Villains show officially has an opening date! The show will debut on May 27th, 2025. We also recently saw that they have begun to dismantle the outdoor exhibits from Lightning McQueen’s Racing Academy. Voyage of the Little Mermaid As well, Voyage of the Little Mermaid is currently closed in Disney World. A bit ago we saw that the iconic Voyage of the Little Mermaid marquee has been removed! So far, it is still missing, but we are curious what, if anything, will take its place. Voyage of the Little Mermaid Disney is going to introduce a new, updated show in this spot, though it will still be themed to the animated movie The Little Mermaid! The new show will be called “The Little Mermaid — A Musical Adventure,” and will be debuting on May 27th, 2025. It will be a “fully reimagined theatrical production inspired by the Walt Disney Animation Studios classic.” “Aisle Lice” Are Causing Chaos in Disney’s Hollywood Studios, and We Need to Talk About It Disney Springs Starbucks on the West Side The Starbucks on the West Side of Disney Springs is temporarily closed for refurbishment. It closed on March 3rd, and it is expected to reopen in mid-summer. Starbucks is undergoing refurbishment Have no fear, though — you can still get your Starbucks fix in Disney Springs! You know that moment when you’re STARVING in the middle of Magic Kingdom and all you can think about is pancakes? Pancakes! The My Disney Experience app is packed with features — but there’s one sneaky little tool that most people totally miss. If you’ve ever found yourself wandering aimlessly, trying to figure out which restaurant has that one thing you’re craving, this tip is going to change the game. We’re talking about searching for specific food items and letting the app tell you exactly where to find them (and how to get there). Let’s break it down. You Can Search for Specific Dishes in the App Yes, you read that right. You can type in a specific food — like “pancake,” “churro,” or “mac and cheese”—and the app will pull up every restaurant or snack stand that’s currently serving it across Disney World. This includes Table Service, Quick Service, and even snack carts if they’ve got it listed. ©Disney This is a HUGE win for picky eaters, foodies on a mission, or honestly just anyone who gets a random craving mid-park-day and needs it satisfied ASAP. Instead of scrolling endlessly through menus or trekking halfway across the park only to find out the place doesn’t even have what you’re looking for, the app does the work for you. ©Disney All you have to do is tap the search icon (the little magnifying glass in the bottom menu), type in your dish, and boom — results pop up with restaurants that are currently serving that item. It’ll Also Tell You Exactly How to Get There Here’s where things get even better. Once you tap on a restaurant from your search results, the app doesn’t just give you the hours and menu. It gives you walking directions from wherever you are on Disney World property. So if you’re standing in front of Big Thunder Mountain and you just have to find the nearest Mickey Waffle, the app will literally guide you to it step-by-step. ©Disney No more pulling up Google Maps or guessing your way through Fantasyland while hangry. ©Disney This feature is especially helpful if you’ve got kiddos who’ve set their hearts on something specific, or if you’re trying to stick to a dining plan for the day and want to make sure everyone gets their favorite snacks without wasting time. Why This Is Such a Big Deal The My Disney Experience app can be overwhelming if you don’t know where to look. There’s a LOT packed into it — mobile orders, wait times, dining reservations, showtimes, ride statuses, you name it. But this one tiny feature? It flies under the radar. ©Disney If you’re trying to maximize your time in the parks (and let’s be real, who isn’t?), this little search trick is a lifesaver. Quick Tips to Use It Like a Pro Be specific but flexible. Searching “cheeseburger” will get you more results than just “burger.” The app picks up keywords from the item names and descriptions. Use it to plan ahead. If you’re park-hopping later and already dreaming about dinner, do a quick search during lunch to scope out your options. Pair it with mobile order. Once you’ve found the dish you want, check if that location offers mobile ordering so you can skip the line. So next time you’re standing in the middle of EPCOT debating where to eat, remember: the answer is in your pocket. And it’s not just giving you restaurant names — it’s handing you exactly what you’re craving, with directions on how to get there. Now if only the app could carry your food for you. ©Disney In the meantime, stay tuned to DFB for all the latest from Disney. Universal Orlando is getting set to open Epic Universe on May 22nd (and you can check out our preview here), but the company isn’t slowing down in bringing new theme parks to the WORLD. Universal Orlando Universal is busy constructing Universal Kids Resort in Frisco, Texas, for example. Plus there’s a whole new Universal horror experience coming to Las Vegas. But the company isn’t close to done — a new Universal theme park was recently announced for a theme park just outside of London, and according to the BBC, it looks like that theme park could have a Lord of the Rings land. WAIT? WHAT? That’s right. A new Universal theme park is coming to Bedford, U.K. (pending some final approvals), just about 60 miles outside of London. The BBC is reporting that sources have informed it that one of the properties that will be represented in the new park will be Lord of the Rings. Wait…will we get a Smaug meet and greet? Will we get to drink with hobbits in a pub? Will there be an animatronic version of Golem? The possibilities are endless! ©New Line Cinema However, we don’t know much more than that. Universal Destinations has stated that it’s too early in the process to know what kind of attractions the new theme park will have. However, the BBC is also reporting that James Bond and Paddington may also be represented in the new park, per a source close to Universal. Universal also revealed new concept art for what looks a lot like a James Bond stunt show. ©Universal Other properties you can expect to see in the new park could be inspired by Back to the Future, Jurassic Park, and Minions. More concept art was released, showing an area that could be dedicated to Jurassic Park. ©Universal U.K. Culture Secretary Lisa Nandy said the theme park would be an opportunity to show off “great British creations to the world.” This would set this theme park apart from other Universal destinations around the world. Interestingly enough, though, the park will not include a Harry Potter-themed area because the U.K. rights to Harry Potter belong to Warner Bros. However, the Warner Bros. Studio Tour London isn’t too far away. The new park is expected to open in 2031. Stay tuned to DFB for more. Pirates of the Caribbean is one of the most beloved Disney classic rides. Pirates of the Caribbean Disneyland Now, it’s no secret that if you’ve been on Pirates of the Caribbean in both Disney World and Disneyland, you’ll understand that there are some differences. Most would even argue that the Disneyland version of the ride is far superior. Well, this ride does tend to be very popular in Disneyland, but if you’re planning on skipping the standby line this weekend for the Lightning Lane, we’ve got some bad news for you. Pirates of the Caribbean is not being offered on Lightning Lane Multi Pass right now. That’s right. The only way to ride Pirates of the Caribbean is by using the standby line. The ride is not being offered through Lightning Lane Multi Pass for a limited time. Now, this change seems to be temporary, as the ride is set to return as a Lighting Lane Multi Pass option on Tuesday, April 15th. Lines for this ride can get long, but there’s no way to bypass them today. Disney did not state why this ride has been temporarily removed from Lightning Lane Multi Pass, but as we said, it does seem to be temporary. If you want to ride it without a long wait, you’ll want to consider rope-dropping the ride. You can also keep an eye on the ride’s wait time on the Disneyland app and try to book it over to the ride once the wait time drops. Pirates of the Caribbean We’ll be keeping an eye out for more ride changes in Disneyland and Disney World, so stay tuned to DFB for more. Want to Learn More About Disneyland? As air travel becomes more expensive — and at least in perception — less safe, some younger travelers are re-embracing bus ridership as an alternative. ©Southwest Airlines As a slew of price increases, baggage policy changes, and high-profile accidents have caused bad press for the aviation industry over the last couple of years, numbers have steadily risen for commercial bus transportation. According to a spokesperson for FlixBus (the parent company of Greyhound), “ridership across the Greyhound and FlixBus network grew by a double-digit percentage year-over-year” in 2024. This is “compared to 2023, continuing an upward trend.” According to Kai Boysan, the CEO of FlixBus, ”Intercity bus ridership has been steadily rising as more long-distance travelers reconsider their options, recognizing buses as a natural alternative to flying or driving. Fear of flying is nothing new, and many travelers have always preferred to stay grounded for a variety of reasons, whether it’s personal comfort or more control over their journey.” While it may be true that fear of flying is nothing “new”, there seemingly several specific reasons for the increase. The most press-worth is likely the string of crashes and other incidents that have plagued the industry in the early months of 2025. ©Greyhound Despite the fact that flying remains one of the safest modes of transportation according to statistics, the coverage of incidents like a small plane crash in Philadelphia, a plane rollover in Toronto, and several cataloged near misses on airport runways has led to a climate of paranoia. According to Google Trends, searches for the phrase “Is it safe to fly?” surged in the month of February. However, these safety concerns are not the only reason that bus travel has gained favor. Other major factors include costs of flights, as well as airline’s ever-changing (some would say nickel & dimeing) baggage policies, such as Southwest’s reversal of their longtime “bags fly free” policy. In addition to the financial issues, bus travel cuts out many of the hassles that hinder flying for many. There are no cumbersome security lines wait in or baggage carousels to loiter by, and most major (and many minor) U.S. cities have direct bus routes between them. ©Greyhound Another major reason for the increase in bus travel, especially among younger travelers, may be environmental. According to a 2023 study from Wanderu, Intercity buses are the “most sustainable mode of transportation in the U.S.” The report claims that buses are 550% more fuel efficient than cars on a per-passenger basis, and that “taking the bus instead of flying can decrease your carbon footprint by up to 77.5%.” Finally, the amount of modern amenities offered on commercial buses has grown considerably. According to Boysan, “Traveling via bus is much different than the past and has evolved into a modern, tech-driven experience, offering free Wi-Fi, power outlets and spacious seating that make long trips more comfortable and convenient.” He added, “When you compare bus fares to rising airfare costs, especially for last-minute bookings, it’s clear why more travelers are seeing intercity buses as a practical option. People want more control over their travel experiences, and intercity buses are stepping up to meet this demand.” ©Greyhound As dissatisfaction with air travel continues to fester among many US travelers, bus ridership continues to grow. There is one BIG reason to avoid staying at Disney’s Polynesian Village Resort in 2025. Island Tower Island Tower at Disney’s Polynesian Villas & Bungalows opened in December 2024, and we thought that might have been the last we saw of construction at the hotel. However, that does not seem to be the case for another whole year. Unfortunately, this construction might cause you to think twice before booking your 2025 Disney World vacation here. On Disney’s website, they shared that “some areas of Disney’s Polynesian Village Resort and Disney’s Polynesian Villas & Bungalows are being refurbished through 2026″. Guests may see and hear some daytime construction, starting at 9:00 AM. Construction at hotels can cause some headaches with loud noises, eye sores, and even things not accessible. Disney’s Polynesian Village Resort But that’s not all. Additionally, “some views of the theme parks and other surrounding areas may be impacted“. It’s not clear if this would be theme park view rooms or the theme park view from the common areas of the resort. But if this is something that is a make-or-break to you, you might want to stay at other Disney hotels with that view, including Disney’s Contemporary Resort, Bay Lake Tower, or Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort & Spa. Beach While we love the theming and the food at this resort, you might want to delay staying here until all of the construction work is complete. This resort is beautiful, and seeing it at its full potential seems like a good reason to hold off spending your vacation here. Okay, so a lot is happening in Disney Parks around the world. Disney World and Disneyland are getting new lands and new rides, as well as new shows, and more! Disneyland Paris Across the pond, though, Disneyland Paris is getting an entirely reimagined park as Walt Disney Studios gets transformed into Disney Adventure World. And adventure is out there in this new park because Disney just dropped some NEW ride news and details…and we’re pretty sure this is going to thrill fans of Up. Yes, a new Up ride is coming to Disneyland Paris. The ride will be located in Adventure Way, across from the previously announced Raiponce Tangled Spin ride. A lot is happening in Disney World and Disneyland, but Disney’s international parks are also getting a lot of huge updates. Disneyland Park Entrance Over in Disneyland Paris, work is underway to transform Walt Disney Studius Park into Disney Adventure World, which will feature entirely reimagined lands, as well as a land dedicated to The Lion King. Now, we’ve heard a little bit about some of the progress being made on Adventure World, but Disneyland Paris just dropped a TON of details about Adventure World, as well as other big plans being made for the resort. Adventure World will invite visitors to step into the adventures of some of Disney’s most iconic movies. The project will transform about 90% of Walt Disney Studios into something new, which will include new lands, including the Lion King land and World of Frozen. Disney recently revealed that the park’s Adventure Way will feature a new family-friendly ride themed around Up. This swings-type ride will be located across from Raiponce Tangled Spin. ©Disney Speaking of the Raiponce Tangled Spin, the ride vehicles have arrived, so we have a first look at those. Also, GREAT news: Mandy Moore, who originally voiced Rapunzel in Tangled, will reprise her role for announcements for the ride. ©Disney Adventure Way will also have a brand-new restaurant, Regal View Restaurant & Lounge. This will be a character dining experience with princesses. The restaurant will also offer a great view of a new nighttime show (we’ll get to that in a bit). ©Disney Okay, let’s talk about that new nighttime show. The show will happen above a new lake, Adventure Bay, and will include giant water screens, fountains, special effects, and new water drone technology. ©Disney Adventure Way has themed gardens with more than a thousand trees, 100,000 shrubs, and statues of Woody and Jessie in the Toy Story Garden. It sounds STUNNING! ©Disney We also got even MORE details about the Lion King land and its new ride. This all-new water ride will “plunge guests deep into the heart of the Pride Lands.” There, Simba will take you on an adventure that will include some of the most iconic songs from the 1994 animated film The Lion King. Disney released brand-new concept art to show what the ride will look like. ©Disney Disney also announced the opening date for World Premiere in Adventure World: May 15th, 2025. This will be the brand new park entrance with a completely reimagined interior with new decor and a new storyline. ©Disney Stepping inside will drop guests in the middle of a glamorous Hollywood premiere. This area will also feature a new quick service dining spot, The Hollywood Gardens Restaurant. Disney is also adding a new snack kiosk called Searchlight Kiosk, as well as a shop called Mickey’s of Hollywood Boutique. ©Disney After World Premiere, there’s the World Premiere Plaza, which is inspired by Broadway and London’s West End. This area will have several theaters celebrating Disney and Pixar stories, including TOGETHER: A Pixar Musical Adventure, Mickey and the Magician, and Frozen: A Musical Invitation. The area will feature new pathways, colorful murals, new landscaped areas, and Art Deco-inspired street furniture. This area is expected to be completed in 2026, ahead of the official opening of Disney Adventure World. ©Disney Want to see what the whole of Adventure World will look like? If you’re visiting Animation Celebration in Walt Disney Studios on April 19th or later, a scale model of Adventure World will be on display. ©Disney Disney even dropped an update about World of Frozen. Imagineers continue to work on the new land, including North Mountain, which used nearly 400 tons of metal. It was then covered with sculpted concrete and hand-painted. Imagineers are also busy putting together the interior of the Frozen Ever After ride. ©Disney Over in Disney Village, new shops and restaurants are on the way. Two new shops recently opened there, Disney Glamour and Disney Style. A LEGO store, as well as Deco by Disney, will open on April 19th. In the fall, the Disney Store will close to become a reimagined shop, Disney Wonders. ©Disney Here’s concept art of the interior of that shop: ©Disney New restaurants are also coming to Disney Village. Brasserie Rosalie will expand to offer a terrace called Petite Rosalie. ©Disney Sports Bar & Lounge will reopen with a brand new look. A McDonald’s will open in 2026, as well as a new Italian Restaurant, Casa Giulia. ©Disney Finally, Disney Sequoia Lodge will receive a huge update. Starting in 2026, the hotel will undergo a transformation and get a new design “that pays homage to the beauty of nature while its theming will add nods to both classic and recent Disney characters who call the forest home.” ©Disney Whew — that is a LOT, but it’s exciting seeing so many changes and updates in Disney Parks across the world. Disneyland Paris Since opening 33 years ago, Disneyland Paris has seen lots of changes and new experiences. Now, we are in the midst of their largest transformation to date, as we wait in anticipation for their brand-new Disney Adventure World to come to life! If you’ve been following along with the construction, you’re in for a treat. Disney just announced a BIG update about its resorts. Disneyland Paris has celebrated some huge milestones lately. Since 2018 alone, they’ve reimagined their Disney Village and opened the Avengers Campus! Soon, in 2026, we will finally see the opening of Disney Adventure World — the reimagining of Paris’s second Disney Park! This park will feature so many fun and unique new experiences, including a new Lion King ride and the World of Frozen. ©Disney Part of the fun of going on a Disney vacation is staying in a beautiful Disney Resort hotel. Disney just has a way of making each of its hotels feel unique and magical in its own way. From themes of Pixar, adventure, camping, Hawaii, and so much more — each hotel stay is a completely different experience! In the last four years, Disneyland Paris has completely transformed the Disney Hotel New York – The Art of Marvel and Disneyland Hotel in stunning ways! Now we have information on what the next hotel refurbishment project will be. ©Tripadvisor Disneyland Hotel Paris Disneyland Paris just announced that Disney Sequoia Lodge will be next to undergo a big transformation. Disney stated that after the work they put into the other two hotels, it was time to give the iconic Sequoia Lodge a makeover. Disney will be enhancing the experience at this resort while still preserving its wooden décor and warm atmosphere. All over the resort, rooms and spaces will be completely reimagined — giving the resort a new modern touch. ©Disney The resort’s brand-new design will display the wonders of nature, and its theming will feature some of our favorite Disney forest friends — like Bambi! Work on the hotel will begin in 2026, and it will happen in phases. Don’t worry, though; if you are planning a Disneyland Paris vacation, the hotel will remain open during construction! ©Disney That’s not the only change happening at Disneyland Paris when it comes to resorts. The process of replacing the bungalows at Disney Davy Crockett Ranch is still underway. The new interior spaces are inspired by the adventures of your favorite Disney ducks — such as Donald Duck, Daisy Duck, and the Junior Woodchucks. ©Disney We won’t have to wait too long to book, as June 12th will be the first day you can start booking the first set of new bungalows. Any reservations made will be for stays beginning after the summer of 2025. ©Disney We’re so excited about the new changes coming to Disneyland Paris. In a couple of years, Disneyland Paris vacations will feel completely different! Craving those warm, cheesy, buttery Red Lobster biscuits but you find yourself in Disney World? Disney Springs We just found the perfect solution for your biscuit fix — and no, it doesn’t come with seafood. Chef Art Smith’s Homecomin’ in Disney Springs is serving up cheddar cheese drop biscuits that are SO close to Red Lobster’s Cheddar Bay Biscuits, it’s honestly kind of spooky. If you’re the type who dreams about those golden, cheesy bites, Homecomin’ might just become your new go-to Disney World dining spot. Here’s what you need to know. The Biscuits That Deserve Their Own Fan Club Chef Art Smith’s Cheddar Cheese Drop Biscuits are no joke. First of all, yes — they’re drop-style biscuits, just like the ones you get at Red Lobster. No perfectly cut rounds or fancy layers here, just rustic, golden-topped goodness that’s baked to be soft, cheesy, and just the right amount of crumbly. The cheddar cheese drop biscuit And we’re not just talking “kind of cheesy.” These biscuits are loaded with sharp cheddar and buttery flavor in every single bite. We’re not exaggerating when we say we could eat a whole plate of these and skip the rest of the meal — and honestly, that wouldn’t be a bad plan. Inside the biscuit They’re served warm (obviously), and you get your choice of topping: either blackberry fig jam or sawmill gravy. Yes, jam or gravy. One sweet and fruity, the other rich and savory. We don’t usually like to pick sides, but if you’re going all-in on the biscuit life, go gravy first. Trust us. Where, When, and How Much? Let’s talk logistics. You can get these biscuits a few different ways: During brunch (which happens Saturdays and Sundays), you can order them as an individual item for $10. That includes the jam or gravy. Worth it? Every penny. At lunch and dinner, you can grab them as a side for $8. Still generous, still addictive. Or — you might luck out and get them included with some of the entrees, depending on what you order. Homecomin’ So whether you’re committing to a full brunch at Homecomin’ or just stopping by for a biscuit fix on a shopping break in Disney Springs, you’ve got options. And if you’re sharing? You’ll definitely want more than one order. Just saying. Why These Biscuits Hit Different There’s something extra comforting about the Homecomin’ version of these biscuits. Maybe it’s the Southern hospitality vibe. Maybe it’s that Chef Art Smith (yes, Oprah’s former personal chef!) knows his way around comfort food like few others in Disney World do. But there’s a homey, from-scratch feel to these biscuits that makes them stand out. Also? They’re not trying to be fussy. These are straight-up, unapologetically indulgent, made-for-butter-dipping, biscuit-lovers-only kinds of carbs. And that’s why we love them. The cheddar cheese drop biscuit So, if you’re wandering Disney World thinking, “Man, I could really go for some of those Cheddar Bay Biscuits right now,” you know where to go. Chef Art Smith’s Homecomin’. Cheddar cheese drop biscuits. Jam or gravy. No wrong answers. In the meantime, we’ll be on the lookout for any restaurant updates from Disney World and beyond. Flying is almost always a stressful experience. Orlando International Airport However, if you’re flying out of Orlando International Airport (MCO) anytime soon, there are some NEW rules you can follow to make the experience go much smoother. Use MCO Reserve The Orlando International Airport offers the MCO Reserve service, which “allows travelers to reduce stress by planning ahead and reserving a dedicated time slot for their party to go through TSA security screening.” Flyers scan their MCO Reserve QR code at a specific MCO Reserve line, then move directly to TSA to screen their boarding pass and ID and proceed through the standard TSA security screening, cutting a considerable amount of time from the process on most days. ©Orlando International Airport Dedicated MCO Reserve terminals are available at Terminals A, B and C. There are only a limited number of slots available each day, however, and travelers may book their time slot up to 7 days in advance. Screening times are available from 5:00 AM to 5:00 PM for flights departing between 6:30 AM and 8:30 PM. Book Your Parking In Advance MCO offers the option of booking parking in advance, which can be very beneficial in locking down a spot. ©MCO You can book on MCO’s website, as well as check the status and price for the airport’s various lots. ©MCO In addition, travelers can also also pay for certain lots using a SunPass. Simply park as usual, then “pay as you exit by using the specially marked E-PASS/SunPass lanes. The parking fees will be deducted from your E-PASS/SunPass account. No additional fees will be charged.” Stay Up to Date on Airline Baggage Policies The airline industry is in a time of transition when it comes to bag policies. For example, Southwest Airlines recently announced a change to its longtime stance on checked bags, confirming that the airline is ending its “Bags Fly Free” policy beginning in May. Meanwhile, competitor Spirit has been cracking down on personal items, forcing travelers to rapidly condense backpacks and bags at their gates. ©Southwest Airlines No matter what airline you’re flying, it’s imperative to be aware of their policies so you don’t find yourself scrambling at the airport. Keep Track Online There are two ways you can cut down on MCO delays before even leaving for the airport! The airport’s website – – flymco.com – – provides official, real-time tracking date for both each terminal’s security checkpoints as well as flight departure status. Remember Your Real ID Beginning on May 7th, travelers flying domestically in the U.S. will be required to show a REAL ID-compliant license or accepted alternative in order fly. According to the Department of Homeland Security, the REAL ID law was enacted based on recommendations from the 9/11 Commission that the government “set standards for the issuance of sources of identification, such as driver’s licenses.” The Act established “minimum security standards for state-issued driver’s licenses and identification cards and prohibits certain federal agencies from accepting for official purposes licenses and identification cards from states that do not meet these standards.” Those over the age of 18 who do not present a REAL ID-compliant license or any of those acceptable alternatives beginning on May 7th will “not be permitted through the security checkpoint.” Minors are not required to provide identification when traveling with a companion within the United States. ©Department of Homeland Security If you’re traveling through MCO soon, be sure to follow these rules to make the experience as painless as possible. Stay tuned to DFB for further travel tips. 5 Things I Wish I Knew Before Waiting 45 Minutes in Line at the Orlando Airport Join the DFB Newsletter to get all the breaking news right in your inbox!
