  1. Every week, we report the average Disney World wait times in every park so that you can be prepared for your next trip to Orlando! Seven Dwarfs Mine Train Disney World wait times have a reputation for being, well, unpredictable. Sure, we can look at past data to get an estimate of the crowd levels in Disney World, but you never know what may happen from year to year. This year, for example, wait times for late October were low, then JUMPED in early November. As we get closer and closer to Christmas, we expect those wait times to increase even more. Is this the calm before the storm? Take a look at this week’s average wait times for proof! This is everything you need to know about the average wait times in Disney World over the past seven days. There are very few waits over an hour, which is incredible. As October turns into November, is this one of the best times to visit the parks? It just might be — but we’ll let you decide! 3. We recently stumbled across a fun snack tradition in Disney World that could make for a magical moment on your next vacation if you’re SUPER lucky! S’mores Popcorn One of our favorite things about walking down Main Street, U.S.A. in Magic Kingdom is the irresistible aroma coming from Main Street Confectionery! This candy shop is home to all kinds of sweet treats, from baked goods to frozen beverages. And we recently found out about a fun Main Street Confectionery experience that’s a sweet lover’s dream come true! Located right near the entrance to Magic Kingdom, Main Street Confectionery is a classic, old-fashioned candy shop that’s your one-stop shop for all things sweet. One unique feature in the confectionery is the Kernel Kitchen, where guests can create their own customized popcorn mix. Kernel Kitchen Guests pick their popcorn flavor, syrup flavor, and whichever toppings they’d like to include on their custom creation, with the price varying by the number of toppings picked. What toppings would you add? And, as if custom popcorn wasn’t exciting enough, on a recent trip to the confectionery, we saw Cast Members choose a lucky guest to be the “Chef of the Day” at the Kernel Kitchen! Chef of the Day at Kernel Kitchen! A Cast Member told us that at least one guest a day is picked at random to be the “Chef of the Day.” They’re invited to create a mix of their choice on a rolling counter that is brought out in front of the popcorns on display. And, as the chef, the Cast Member said they can choose as many flavors of popcorn as many toppings and drizzles as they want. Chef of the Day! After creating the custom mix, the “Chef of the Day” also gets a certificate commemorating their moment in the spotlight! Chef of the Day Certificate We love coming across these magical moments that Cast Members create for guests that make such special, unique memories! If you’re in the mood for something sweet on your next trip to Magic Kingdom, swing by the Kernel Kitchen at Main Street Confectionery, and you might just be lucky enough to get picked to be Chef of the Day. And, if nothing else, you can at least leave with a delicious treat! 4. Coming to Disneyland Paris in 2026 Step Into Disney Adventure World: Walt Disney Studios Park transforms into Disney Adventure World when World of Frozen opens on March 29, 2026. Resort-Wide Refreshes and Dining Delights: Disney Village welcomes new restaurants and reimagined stores, while Annette’s Diner and Disney Sequoia Lodge undergo major transformations to elevate guest experiences. Immersive Upgrades Across Iconic Attractions: From enhanced scenes and props on Ratatouille — The Adventure to story-rich queue additions at The Twilight Zone Tower of Terror, beloved favorites are receiving immersive upgrades. Exciting changes are on the horizon at Disneyland Paris! Just a few weeks ago, we revealed all-new details of the ongoing transformation of Walt Disney Studios Park, soon to be known as Disney Adventure World when World of Frozen opens on March 29, 2026. And the magic doesn’t stop there! Looking ahead to 2026 and beyond, even more projects are taking shape across the resort. Minnie’s Dream Factory Returns After a short intermission, the Dream Factory is back in action on February 7 with an all-new story that celebrates teamwork and creativity. Minnie Mouse takes center stage as the factory’s caring director, leading a dream team that includes Chip ‘n’ Dale as the comedic duo, Donald Duck managing every technical detail, and Daisy Duck bringing her signature energy to keep spirits high. Guests will be immersed in a redesigned appearance featuring playful nods to Minnie and a vibrant new lighting atmosphere. The show will also debut stunning new costumes designed and created at Disneyland Paris, along with brand new surprises. Annette’s Diner Serves Up a Retro Refresh Starting January 5, 2026, Annette’s Diner located in Disney Village will close for a significant refurbishment lasting several months. These changes will bring fresh updates while preserving the retro charm that has made it a favorite since 1992. The renovation includes expanded kitchen space and a complete refurbishment of the dining room, from new floors and furniture to reimagined design elements. Iconic features such as the bar will receive a striking new façade inspired by the metallic aesthetic of classic American diners, while booths will debut an all-new look in vibrant candy-pink and turquoise-blue tones. When it reopens, Annette’s Diner will continue to celebrate the golden age of Rock ’n’ Roll and the 1950s, serving up its signature atmosphere alongside delicious burgers. Ongoing Disney Village Transformation Brings Fresh Dining and Shops The transformation of Disney Village continues with several new experiences set to debut in the coming months and years. The Sports Bar & Lounge recently reopened as a vibrant sports hub featuring a redesigned terrace, immersive décor, and a refreshed menu. Pelé Soccer, the brand’s first European store, offering exclusive soccer merchandise will soon open and early 2026 will bring the largest McDonald’s in France, designed with playful nods to Disneyland Paris. Construction is also underway for Casa Giulia, a two-story Italian restaurant set to open by the end of 2026. The reimagining of the Disney Store into Disney Wonders carries on with a modern retail space immersing visitors in beloved Disney stories. These updates, along with ongoing enhancements to façades, landscaping and signage, promise to make Disney Village an even more dynamic destination. Nature-Inspired Makeover Coming to Disney Sequoia Lodge Following the announcement in April, Disney Sequoia Lodge will begin a refurbishment that is similar in scale to Disneyland Hotel and Disney Hotel New York: The Art of Marvel, beginning January 2026. These updates will elevate the overall experience while preserving the cozy, woodsy charm. This refreshed design will pay tribute to the beauty of nature in new ways, drawing from the rich tradition of forest landscapes celebrated by Walt Disney and his team of animators. Every space from guest rooms and the lobby to dining and shopping areas will be reimagined as an ode to wildlife. The hotel will remain open throughout the renovation, which will be carried out in phases. Cooking Up New Changes at Ratatouille — The Adventure Since October 2025, Disney Imagineers and Disneyland Paris teams have been hard at work on the major refurbishment of Ratatouille: L’Aventure Totalement Toquée de Rémy. A generous serving of technical upgrades and scenic enhancements are being carefully crafted to offer an even more immersive experience. The queue will feature a brand-new scene set in a Parisian artist’s studio, brimming with details from paint-splattered canvases to a fruit basket that might tempt a few curious rats in the neighborhood. Inside the attraction, the updates continue with new props, enhanced projections, and oversized set pieces. These changes promise to add extra flavor to key scenes and enhance the perception of being shrunk to the size of Remy and his friends. Unraveling Mysteries at The Twilight Zone Tower of Terror Beginning in spring 2026, The Twilight Zone Tower of Terror will debut a new covered outdoor waiting area that deepens the attraction’s story. Designed to resemble the remnants of a once-luxurious patio and outdoor pool frequented by show business elites, this space now reflects the eerie disarray of the hotel. Every detail has been carefully chosen to immerse guests in the narrative, while props scattered throughout the queue offer intriguing clues about the hotel’s past. Just steps away, a brand-new merchandise location will open in early 2026, inspired by the charm of 1930s flower shops. Reimagined to seamlessly blend into the Art Deco-inspired style of World Premiere Plaza’s theatre district, this boutique will feature authentic touches such as vintage-style floral arrangements, historical photographs, and even a period-appropriate florist’s fridge. New Magic Along Rivers of the Far West New scenes along the picturesque Rivers of the Far West are coming to Thunder Mesa Riverboat Landing in Frontierland by the end of summer 2026. Drawing inspiration from the original sketches of Disney Legend and Imagineer Marc Davis, these additions will bring fresh storytelling to life with charming details. New figures that have been redesigned and crafted by Walt Disney Imagineering Paris, including majestic buffaloes on a prairie and playful critters, such as raccoons and a skunk, perched on a floating log. And to make the journey even more special, the iconic Molly Brown riverboat, recently refurbished from stem to stern, will provide the perfect vantage point. A Bold New Era Begins at Disney Adventure World These resort changes are happening alongside a bold new era set to begin when Walt Disney Studios Park transforms into Disney Adventure World starting March 29, 2026. The highlight of the second park’s expansion will include World of Frozen, an immersive land where guests can journey through Arendelle on Frozen Ever After, meet Anna and Elsa inside the castle, and enjoy a vibrant daytime show on Viking longships. Adventure Way will also debut with themed gardens, seasonal entertainment, and 14 new dining locations, including the elegant Regal View Restaurant & Lounge. This new promenade will include Raiponce Tangled Spin, a family attraction inspired by Walt Disney Animation Studios’ Tangled and the groundbreaking nighttime spectacular “Disney Cascade of Lights.” For over seven years, producer Ben Spalding envisioned a show that would push the boundaries of nighttime entertainment and with “Disney Cascade of Lights,” that dream will soon become a reality. Building on the success of recent drone shows such as “Disney D-Light” and “Avengers: Power the Night,” this groundbreaking production will come closer to the audience than ever before and feature aquatic drones gliding across Adventure Bay. Working with high-tech partner Dronisos, the team developed drones that are more resistant to wind and rain, paired with stunning projections and vibrant visuals. The innovation doesn’t stop there! The show’s sweeping 360° design will ensure breathtaking views from every angle. And at the heart of the experience is an emotional score recorded at Abbey Road Studios by a 90-piece orchestra, featuring the original anthem “We Can Be Heroes.” We’re excited to share with you a sneak peek of the music you will soon hear in the show. Together, these elements create a spectacular fusion of storytelling, music, and cutting-edge effects. And this is just the beginning! New experiences coming to Disney Adventure World are already under way, including the first attraction set to Disney Animation’s The Lion King and a family-friendly, flying carousel themed to Pixar Animation Studios’ Up, promising even more to look forward to in the future. These exciting projects are only a glimpse of what’s ahead for Disneyland Paris. 5. Disney World is currently undergoing significant changes. Construction is well underway for multiple new lands, including Piston Peak National Park in Magic Kingdom, Pueblo Esperanza in Disney’s Animal Kingdom, and a Monsters, Inc. land in Disney’s Hollywood Studios. To make way for these new lands, numerous areas in Disney World have been closed, and Disney is also working on refurbishments and upkeep. A peek at construction in Magic Kingdom! We are here to keep you up to date on the latest closures, so you don’t find out that your favorite attraction is temporarily or permanently closed after you have made the trek to that area of the park. We are rounding up everything that is closed in Disney World this week so you can be prepared! Let’s take a look at the attractions and locations that will be closed this week, from December 13th through December 20th, at Disney World. Magic Kingdom Buzz Lightyear’s Space Ranger Spin A popular Tomorrowland attraction is closed! Buzz Lightyear’s Space Ranger Spin has been closed for refurbishment since August 4th, 2025, and isn’t expected to reopen until spring 2026. While the ride is closed, it will be getting some upgrades! It’s closed! Buzz Lightyear’s Space Ranger Spin will be getting a new ride scene, new ride vehicles, a new character, and enhanced gameplay elements. Some of those gameplay elements include handheld blasters (soon you can shoot whenever you want!) and reactive targets. We got the chance to take a look at the new ride vehicle and test out the new blasters, and we have to say we were impressed! Liberty Square Riverboat and Tom Sawyer Island An iconic part of the Magic Kingdom is now permanently closed. As of July 7th, the Rivers of America, including the Liberty Square River Boat and Tom Sawyer Island, are permanently closed to make way for the new Cars area, Piston Peak National Park. There are lots of construction walls up in the area now, and the structures on Tom Sawyer Island have been demolished. The river has also been drained! Rivers of America Piston Peak National Park will be replacing this area of Magic Kingdom. Disney has not yet announced an opening date for the new Cars area, but we do know it will feature two brand-new attractions and be themed to look like a National Park. Big Thunder Mountain Railroad On January 6th, Big Thunder Mountain Railroad closed for an extended temporary closure. The “Wildest Ride in the Wilderness” will be closed for at least a year and will reopen sometime in spring 2026. The ride will be undergoing maintenance while it is closed. When it reopens, it will have some “new magic,” according to Disney. Big Thunder Mountain Railroad Disney announced some of the new magic! Riders will see “spectacular natural caverns full of phosphorescent pools, shimmering and illuminating iridescent stalagmites (the ones on the floor) and stalactites (the ones on the ceiling)” — the Rainbow Caverns! We can’t wait to see what other changes might be coming to this ever-popular roller coaster! We have spotted some ride testing happening, which was very exciting. Disney Confirms Magic Kingdom Parade Change Disney’s Animal Kingdom Harambe Market — Disney’s Animal Kingdom Harambe Market, a quick-service dining location in Animal Kingdom, has temporarily closed as of October 20th, 2025. It will be closed for a few months, and it is currently expected to reopen in early 2026. While we are sad to see the dining options decrease in Animal Kingdom, there are still lots of delicious options! Harambe Market You can stop by Flame Tree Barbecue or Satu’li Canteen for a tasty, quick-service meal. We aren’t expecting huge changes at Harambe Market during the refurbishment, but we will keep you updated as we learn more! TriceraTop Spin, Chester & Hester’s Dinosaur Treasures, Fossil Fun Games, The Boneyard, Dino Bite Snacks, and Trilo-Bites The first round of closures began in DinoLand U.S.A. on January 13th, 2025. TriceraTop Spin, Chester & Hester’s Dinosaur Treasures, and Fossil Fun Game were closed down, and construction has begun on the brand-new land themed to the Tropical Americas, Pueblo Esperanza. The Boneyard has permanently closed as of September 2nd. Dino Bite Snacks and Trilo-Bites are also permanently closed as of October 20th, 2025. Pueblo Esperanza Construction It is definitely a sad sight, but we are also excited to see Pueblo Esperanza! DINOSAUR and Restaurantosaurus are still open, but Disney has announced the rest of DinoLand, U.S.A. will be closing for good on February 2nd, 2026. These Animal Kingdom Changes Are Starting To Worry Us Disney’s Hollywood Studios Vacation Fun – An Original Animated Short with Mickey & Minnie — Disney’s Hollywood Studios Vacation Fun – An Original Animated Short with Mickey & Minnie is temporarily closed as of October 20th, 2025, in Disney’s Hollywood Studios. The good news is that it is just a temporary closure, and it is expected to reopen later this year! Vacation Fun Vacation Fun is joining an already lengthy list of closures in Hollywood Studios, including Animation Courtyard and Muppets Courtyard. There is still plenty to do in Hollywood Studios, but be prepared for a fair amount of construction happening! Animation Courtyard Animation Courtyard closed on September 25th, 2025, to make way for Walt Disney Studios. This new area is expected to open in summer 2026 and will be a special nod to the Walt Disney Studios lot. Star Wars Launch Bay will be turned into The Magic of Disney Animation. This attraction will have you interacting and exploring with this fun take on Disney Animation headquarters. Construction walls around Animation Courtyard This area will also feature a new Drawn to Wonderland indoor play area and the current Disney Jr. Play and Dance! show will be getting a makeover. Muppets Courtyard, including Muppet*Vision 3D, PizzeRizzo, and Mama Melrose’s Ristorante Italiano Muppet*Vision 3D AND PizzeRizzo closed on June 8th, and Muppets Courtyard has been walled off so construction can begin on the new Monsters, Inc. land. Mama Melrose’s Ristorante Italiano has been closed since May 11th. Recently, the Muppet*Vision 3D sign was officially taken down! Farewell Muppet*Vision Sign Don’t worry, the Muppets won’t be missing from Disney’s Hollywood Studios forever. The Muppets will eventually be taking over Rock ‘n’ Roller Coaster in 2026. Disney Files New Permits for Monsters, Inc. Land at Hollywood Studios Blizzard Beach Blizzard Beach has been closed since September 8th, 2025! While it has been wonderful having BOTH Blizzard Beach and Typhoon Lagoon open at the same time this summer (which was the first time this has happened in YEARS), that has now come to an end. Blizzard Beach is now closed for refurbishment. Blizzard Beach Have no fear, though, if you are looking for somewhere to cool off and enjoy some fun in the water, Typhoon Lagoon will still be open! 7. Attention shoppers! Trader Joe’s has plans to open a location near Disney World soon! Trader Joe’s (Ablokhin/Getty Images) When we’re in the mood for unique snacks, Trader Joe’s is one of our go-to grocery stores. In fact, we’ve even found plenty of items at Trader Joe’s that make us feel like we’re snacking around the world in EPCOT! If this boutique grocery is also one of your favorite spots to stop, we’ve got good news — Trader Joe’s has plans to open a new location right by Disney World! After recently opening two new locations on Florida’s Space Coast, Trader Joe’s is now focusing on Kissimmee and Maitland for continued expansion. According to the Orlando Sentinel, North American Development Group, the company that owns the Loop West shopping center in Kissimmee, has filed site plans with the city and South Florida Water Management District for a new 12,500-square-foot grocery store on the retail pad north of JCPenney. The proposed grocery store’s size and layout match typical Trader Joe’s designs, which are less than 15,000 square feet. Trader Joe’s In addition, Trelago Market owner Harbour Retail Partners is planning a 12,500-square-foot Trader Joe’s in the Maitland shopping center. Trader Joe’s While the grocer declined to confirm specific plans for the Loop West store, they did confirm that they’re looking to expand to Kissimmee. Spokesperson Nakia Rohde said, “We are actively looking at hundreds of neighborhoods across the country, including areas in Kissimmee, as we hope to open more new neighborhood stores each year.” Trader Joe’s Trader Joe’s is owned by the same German family as ALDI, another one of our go-to favorites for unique finds, but the two chains operate separately. Trader Joe’s began a rapid expansion plan in 2025, announcing it would open 41 new stores across the country by the end of the year. The company is close to hitting its goal with 36 new stores and another nine listed as “coming soon” on its website. 9. If you’ve ever managed to catch a Disney stage production on Broadway (or even on tour or seen Disney on Broadway at the EPCOT Festival of the Arts), you know it’s a real treat. Some of Disney’s most iconic movies have been made into Broadway plays, including Beauty and the Beast, The Lion King, The Little Mermaid, and Aladdin. ©Disney However, audience members who saw Aladdin recently were in for an additional surprise. Stitch, doing what Stitch does best, crashed the show, and he did it for a good cause. Stitch brought his uniqueness to the Aladdin stage on Broadway on December 10th. After the final curtain call of the show, Stitch popped up in a balcony box before joining Genie on stage. Stitch’s appearance was part of Disney’s Holiday Magic Tour, which is an initiative to donate to Toys for Tots. ©Disney Stitch was on stage to bring holiday cheer, but to also encourage audience members to donate toys to Toys for Tots for children who need it most. Disney is promoting its “Make Someone’s Holiday Magic” program to celebrate the joy of giving back through Toys for Tots. Disney is also doing a Holiday Magic Tour to more than 20 cities around the world to encourage Toys for Tots donations, community events, surprises, and more. ©Disney Want to know how you can contribute? Visit Disney.com/HolidayMagic to learn more. You can donate toys in person or online, and you can follow along as Stitch travels with the Holiday Magic Tour. Stay tuned to DFB for more. 10. Walt Disney Presents is an often underrated part of Disney’s Hollywood Studios, but we have a feeling it’s about to be jam-packed for the next few weeks thanks to a new exhibit! Walt Disney Presents has a NEW exhibit! You can head in here to find lots of information and details on how Walt Disney created his films, Disneyland, as well as Disney World before he passed, but there are also additional exhibits added for new films and TV shows that get added to Disney+. Right now, you can find a whole section on some of the new lands coming to Disney World, but the one that’s really catching people’s attention? It’s a display of THREE of Taylor Swift’s tour outfits to celebrate the release of “The End of an Era” on Disney+! The new display is located almost immediately beside the expansions display at the end of the hall, closer to where you can head into the theater to see One Man’s Dream (or whatever other show is playing at that time, as they do change!). When we arrived, there was a pretty big crowd of people around it, but everyone was very nice, stepping back to allow others to take photos and videos. Check out the display! It was very self-controlled, as there weren’t Cast Members around controlling the crowd, but those around do ask that if you come by to take pictures and videos that you scoot as close to the display as possible to let other people get through the highway as easily as possible, especially because scooters and ECVs are larger and need more space. Check out the costumes on display! There are three costumes on display that were seen in Taylor Swift’s Eras Tour, and are also represented in the six-episode documentary, and each one has its own plaque. Karma Bodysuit Jacket and Boots Karma Bodysuit, Jacket, and Boots The Tortured Poets Department Dress and Boots The Tortured Poets Department Dress and Boots reputation Gold Snake Bodysuit reputation Gold Snake Bodysuit As of right now, there’s no official end date for when this display will no longer be available, so we recommend heading to see it sooner rather than later, if you’re able! You can read about each one too! “The End of an Era” is a 6-episode documentary series available on Disney+ that takes you into the rehearsal spaces and backstage of Taylor Swift’s Eras Tour. You’ll watch as The Eras Tour evolves from concept to the worldwide phenomenon that people still can’t stop talking about. It’s an in-depth look into Taylor’s life during the tour as well, and also features family and friends like Gracie Abrams, Sabrina Carpenter, Ed Sheeran, and Florence Welch. ©Disney Two episodes are released a week, beginning with episodes one and two on December 12th (so they’re streaming now!), while episodes three and four will be released on December 19th, and the final two episodes will become available on December 26th. However, you can also watch Taylor Swift | The Eras Tour | The Final Show on Disney+ now, which is the concert movie filmed in Vancouver, B.C., Canada, the final stop of the Eras tour, which also features the entire set of “The Tortured Poets Department” for the first time. ©Disney Looking for more recent Disney+ news? 11. If Flash is one of your favorite Zootopia characters, you’ve got to add this new attraction opening near Disney World to your must-do list! Flash ©Disney One of our favorite underrated things to do in Disney World is to wander around the trails in Disney’s Animal Kingdom to see the animals in their habitats. And soon, a new first-of-its-kind attraction is opening near Disney World that takes that experience to the next level, starring an adorable animal species — SLOTHS! In February 2026, Sloth World, the world’s first and only “Slotharium,” is opening near Disney World! Sloth World will offer guided, small-group experiences inside a rainforest-style habitat where sloths live freely among trees, vines, and natural climbing structures. ©Sloth World Pete Bandre, vice president of Sloth World, said, “We want guests to feel like they’ve stepped into the sloths’ world—not the other way around. There are no cages or barriers—you step right into their environment. It’s peaceful, natural, and unlike anything else. We want every visitor to walk out with a deeper understanding of how extraordinary these animals are, why their protection matters, and how simple actions can help support sloth populations around the world.” ©Sloth World Much like Animal Kingdom, Sloth World is designed around conservation and education. The experience will help guests understand sloths’ natural behaviors and how habitat protections can help support the species worldwide. Each visit is a small group tour led by Sloth World Ambassadors, animal science professionals who specialize in sloth behavior. ©Sloth World Sloth World is located at 6582 International Drive near Disney World, and will be open from 9 AM to 9 PM daily beginning in February 2026. Tickets are $49 per person, and presales have already started, so grab yours now if you plan to visit early next year! This is a Must-Do for Flash Fans! Germany Pavilion Thankfully, there are lots of international sections at grocery stores, but if you don’t want to spend a fortune, we recommend heading over to ALDI. 13. Disney World as a whole is gorgeous during the holiday season. There are decorations all over, special holiday snacks to enjoy around the parks and hotels, and if you head to a particular hotel, you may even notice some ADDITIONAL decorations you can only see there. Fort Wilderness during the holiday season! If you head over to Fort Wilderness, you’ll find numerous holiday decorations up, just like the other hotels, but there’s something very specific to be on the lookout for. You’ll know EXACTLY what they are when you find them — trust us, they’re hard to miss! Fort Wilderness is a LARGE hotel, so much so that you can rent golf carts to get around the resort more easily. Did you know that these golf carts are entirely yours to use during your stay, so if you want to decorate them for the holidays (in a safe manner)…you totally can! You can decorate your golf carts! We stopped by Fort Wilderness JUST to see these, and they did not disappoint. We saw Stitch on a holiday inflatable on top of one of the golf carts, and the three Hitchhiking Ghosts made an appearance on one of the others! It’s the Hitchhiking Ghosts! We absolutely love seeing how creative guests get, and if you go around to the different campsites, you may even see that some of those staying in RVs or campers have decorated their campsite as well. It’s tons of fun! We love them! Now, these guests all brought these items with them, or went outside of Disney World property, and that’s completely allowed! You just need to bring everything with you when you leave, and return your golf cart as it was, as well as leave your campsite completely cleared. Stop by this holiday season! 15. It wouldn’t be the holiday season without trying a few new cookie recipes and scarfing down a couple of seasonal favorites. For me, the Hazelnut Linzer Cookie with Raspberry Jam and Mickey-shaped Almond Black and White Cookie will always be on the list. And this year was no different as Nicole and I embarked on the Holiday Cookie Stroll at EPCOT International Festival of the Holidays presented by AdventHealth. Grab your festival passport because this sweet stroll has 13 cookies to choose from with seasonal beverages available at each Holiday Kitchen. How the Holiday Cookie Stroll Works You’ve just entered EPCOT, and you’re ready to eat cookies all around the world — what should you do first? Grab a festival passport. It is the key to your stroll and on page 36, you’ll find a list of 13 delicious cookies that are available for this experience. The following page is where the stamps happen. With each cookie you purchase, you’ll receive the corresponding cookie stamp in the fun cookie cutouts. By purchasing five cookies, your stamped page will be complete, and you will receive a fun surprise treat from the Holiday Sweets & Treats signifying that you completed the stroll. And trust me, if you enjoy baking your own holiday cookies at home, this one is perfect for you! Now let’s begin… New! Ginger-Molasses Cookie with Cream Cheese Icing Our first stop of the stroll was the Ginger-Molasses Cookie with Cream Cheese Icing within CommuniCore Hall. Starting off strong with the perfect balance of spice and sweet, this new cookie is chewy and coated with a decadent amount of cream cheese icing. Location: Experimental Prototype Cookies of Tomorrow (CommuniCore Hall) Cookie Category and Recipe: Drop Cookie This was just one of the three cookies available. If you tend to gravitate toward cookies with less icing, you’ll also find these options at the same Holiday Kitchen: New! Prototype Cookie: Sugar Cookie with Orange-Cranberry Icing and Dark Chocolate Salted Caramel Spaceship Earth Cookie Our Suggested Pairing Nicole suggested the Ivanhoe Park Brewing Co. Frosted Gingerbread White Stout to increase the gingerbread and molasses flavors, and she was spot on because the brewing company says this seasonal pale is meant to be paired with holiday desserts like gingerbread cookies. Cinnamon-Spiced Chocolate Crinkle Cookie If you love chocolate, the Cinnamon-Spiced Chocolate Crinkle Cookie is the one for you. This rich crinkle cookie tastes like you’re biting into a brownie that’s been dusted with cinnamon. Location: Nochebuena Cocina (between World Showcase and the Imagination! Pavilion) Cookie Category and Recipe: Drop Cookie Nicole noted how it’s very soft when you first bite into the cookie, and you’re met with a fudgy center that’s perfect for those who like chocolate. Bake Disney's Holiday Cookies at Home All of the cookies mentioned in this story were recently featured in Cooking Up the Magic on the Disney Parks Blog. Check it out and grab the recipe for your favorite cookie! Our Suggested Pairing The Ponche Navideño is a warm non-alcoholic Christmas punch. This drink brings the tropics and the holiday together with apples, pears, guava, oranges, dried hibiscus, brown sugar, tamarind, cinnamon sticks, and cloves. Hazelnut Linzer Cookie with Raspberry Jam Now making our way around the World Showcase, the Linzer Cookie is a classic at the festival for a reason. This buttery, melt-in-your-mouth magic is enhanced with a spread of raspberry jam. And this year, you’ll notice the cookie has a new shape for its center cutout – the one and only, Mickey Mouse. Location: Bavaria Holiday Kitchen (Germany Pavilion) Cookie Category and Recipe: Cut-Out Cookie Nicole also shared that it was a nice contrast after trying the Cinnamon-Spiced Chocolate Crinkle Cookie because the jam has a bright, tangy taste compared to the intense chocolate. Our Suggested Pairing We paired this shortbread cookie with Glühwein, a house-made hot spiced wine. This drink is wonderful on a chillier day and will make you feel like you’ve been transported into a Christmas market. These two together feel like a warm hug on a cold December day and will bring holiday cheer as you continue your stroll to the next stop. New! Mickey-shaped Almond Black and White Cookie This cookie has a soft, cake-like texture and is now in the shape of Mickey Mouse. Split down the middle, it features both vanilla and chocolate fondant icing. Location: L’Chaim! Holiday Kitchen (between Morocco and France Pavilions) Cookie Category: Drop Cookie The great debate between Nicole and I was which side should be eaten first. Nicole prefers chocolate first, but I have to disagree. I hope you all try this one and let us know which side is your favorite because there is now a Disney Parks Blog divide. However, there was one thing we both agreed on. The first bite must be the ears. We don’t make the rules; that’s just how it’s meant to be – like how you wouldn’t start a sandwich with a bite in the middle. Our Suggested Pairing We paired this one with an additional Mickey-shaped Almond Black and White Cookie. Just one cookie wasn’t enough! New! Maple Leaf Shortbread Cookie with Maple Buttercream Brand new to the festival this year, we had to include the Maple Leaf Shortbread Cookie with Maple Buttercream on our list. This cookie features maple buttercream and has a nice sweet to salty ratio with the sea salt flakes on top. Location: Yukon Holiday Kitchen (Canada Pavilion) Cookie Category and Recipe: Shortbread Cookie Our Suggested Pairing We decided to double the maple by selecting the Playalinda Brewing Co. Maple Cookie Blonde Ale as our pairing for this cookie. These two together created the ultimate nutty, caramel experience we were looking for and might have been our favorite surprise pairing from the entire outing. Bonus Stop for the Coffee-Mocha Cookie By now you might be slowing down, so why not add a boost of energy with a Coffee-Mocha Cookie topped with coffee-infused buttercream, cocoa nibs, and chocolate-covered espresso beans. Location: Mele Kalikimaka Holiday Kitchen (Between World Showcase and the Imagination! Pavilion) Cookie Category and Recipe: Drop Cookie Our Suggested Pairing Instead of grabbing a beverage here, we decided to walk over to Holiday Sweets & Treats for our final pairing. They had a Festive Flight featuring Hot Cocoa by Joffrey’s that was screaming our names. Perfect for a group, you can taste three different hot cocoas including: Christmas Sugar Cookie Hot Cocoa topped with whipped cream and sprinkles Gingerbread Hot Cocoa topped with whipped cream and a gingerbread garnish Cookie Butter Hot Cocoa topped with whipped cream and speculoos spice Holiday Cookie Stroll Prize Congratulations! You made it to the end of the stroll with a bonus cookie or two. If you also decided to wrap up your stroll with the Festive Flight like me and Nicole, then you’re already in the right place. At Holiday Sweets & Treats, show your festival passport with the five completed stamps to the cast member at the redemption window to claim your victory. Find Even More Sweetness This Season at EPCOT The Holiday Cookie Stroll is just the start of your holiday celebration at the 2025 EPCOT International Festival of the Holidays. 16. Custodial Cast Members take care of some of the most daunting tasks at Walt Disney World, including keeping the resort’s theme parks and hotels up to Disney’s standards. In doing so, there are plenty of things they’d LIKE to say to guests, but don’t. Custodial uniform. From cleaning trash and quick service tables to other… unpleasant messes, these custodians are on the front lines of Walt Disney World guest relations, meaning they often have to hold their tongue and respond pleasantly to any given situation. “Please Throw Your Trash Away in Trash Cans.” Let’s start with the obvious: No Disney World Custodial Cast Members — or other guests for that matter — want to see trash thrown on the ground, especially since the resort has NO SHORTAGE of trash cans, all well within walking distance of each other. So please, take the extra step or two and drop your garbage in a can. Big Top Souvenirs “Clean Up Your Quick Service Tables.” On the same note, if you’re eating in a quick-service restaurant, make sure to drop your trash in the can on the way out. Not only will that make life easier for those on the custodial team, but it also frees up tables quicker and makes restaurant operations smoother. Cosmic Ray’s at Magic Kingdom “Please Let Us Know About Major Spills.” Look, no one wants to talk about unpleasant things, but whether you’re talking about vomit, bathroom accidents, or even just massive food spills, these kinds of things are simply going to happen at a theme park. If it does, telling a Custodial Cast Member immediately is the right call. There’s no need for embarrassment — they’ve seen it all before — and delaying letting them know will just lead to more work. A spilled ice cream cone “Ask Us Directions and Information.” This final one has nothing to do with custodial duties and everything to do with how much Custodial Cast Members know about getting around the parks. They know every time-saving shortcut and under-the-radar spot to watch a parade or nighttime spectacular. Sidewalk Art Next time you’re at Walt Disney World, be sure to keep Custodial Cast Members in mind while cleaning up after yourself. 20. Disney World is undergoing some pretty intense construction right now, and not just in one park — we’re talking about major construction in THREE out of the four parks. ©Disney Disney’s Hollywood Studios, in particular, has TWO new lands on the way — the former Muppets Courtyard is turning into a new Monsters, Inc. Land, and Animation Courtyard is getting a massive overhaul and becoming The Walt Disney Studios. This will include a new attraction called The Magic of Disney Animation, a new playground is on the way, and an updated version of the “Disney Jr. Play and Dance!” show will be part of the land as well. However, it seems that lots of Disney fans aren’t super confident that Disney will deliver on the promises in their concept art, and we’ll be honest — we get why. When we recently talked about how the current state of the new The Walt Disney Studios land looks during construction and compared it to the concept art on our Instagram, follower @blake_koala shared a comment that said, “I’ll be amazed if it’s actually a one for one of the concept art ” Here’s the thing, Blake…we totally see where your concern is coming from. ©bioreconstruct He’s not alone either! Far from it, in fact. There are lots of Disney fans who don’t have a lot of confidence in Disney delivering on what their concept art looks like because, in the past, we’ve seen a LOT of discrepancy between original concept art and what actually happens. Listen, that’s okay, we get it! Things change, especially during construction, but after seeing what happened with CommuniCore Hall and CommuniCore Plaza specifically, we 100% understand the concern. ©bioreconstruct Below, you’ll see some of the concept art Disney released for Communicore Plaza in EPCOT. It looked lively, bright, and fun with lots of seating. CommuniCore Plaza ©Disney Now, we’ll give them this one, because CommuniCore Plaza did come out looking pretty similar to the art! The stage is home to a live show throughout the day (¡Celebración Encanto!, which is lots of fun for kids), and then you’ll still notice music playing at night, but it’s usually a DJ instead of a live band, which we would love to see more of. However, there isn’t much seating to sit and watch the shows, and shade is VERY limited, which doesn’t feel super well thought out. ComminiCore Plaza Stage However, CommuniCore Hall? Well…that’s a different story. Take a look at the concept art below… Communicore Hall ©Disney …and then look at how it appeared on opening day, which, to be fair, was WITHOUT a festival in the park. CommuniCore Hall…there’s nothing here. There was seating, banners…and that was about it. It was a HUGE disappointment to many people on opening day, even knowing that it was intended to be a flex space for festivals. We certainly HAVE seen it come alive for festivals, especially this year, but even still, a lot of fans feel it should be something more (even when festivals aren’t going on), especially since it took SO many years to build. Disney on Broadway exhibit at CommuniCore Hall during Festival of the Arts With all that being said, we’re not surprised people are concerned about whether The Walt Disney Studios area will live up to the concept art. We’ll just have to wait and see, but you can guarantee we’ll be keeping you updated the whole time, so stay tuned to DFB! Rapunzel Owala There are a bunch of different colors and designs out there when it comes to the Owala water bottles, but the hot ticket for a Disney trip is going to be the Owala Disney Princess FreeSip Insulated Stainless Steel Water Bottle. They have an entire collection, and we took the Rapunzel design to the parks to test it out! The inside! It has a soft-close spout that locks with another layer to keep it spill-proof while you’re carrying it around, and especially in your bag. It doesn’t sweat on the outside and keeps your drink cold, along with your ice, for several hours — even on some of the hottest days. Owala FreeSip These bottles are incredibly sturdy, even standing up to being dropped on the ground multiple times. They’re slim enough to hold and fit in the side pockets of many backpacks. We’d totally use this for a long vacation! 22. Your Disney World shoes matter more than your park bag. I said what I said. Cinderella Castle You can bring all the snacks, ponchos, battery packs, and MagicBands you want, but none of it will save you if your feet tap out before lunchtime. After one too many park days where we learned this the hard way, we FINALLY put two of the most hyped comfort shoes to the test: the HOKA Clifton 10s and the Brooks Ghost 17s. We wore them through long lines, never-ending walkways, parade crowds, and all the unpredictable chaos a Disney day likes to throw at you. And by the end, one pair clearly earned the title of the most comfortable shoes for Disney World, and we have thoughts. DISCLOSURE: This post may contain affiliate links, meaning when you click the links and make a purchase, we receive a commission. If you’ve ever spent a day at Disney World, you already know the real villain isn’t the Florida heat or the long lines — it’s the wrong pair of shoes. A day that starts with rope drop energy can quickly end in regret. So after years of trial-and-error and more miles logged than we care to admit, we set out to find the shoes that can survive even the busiest park days. Two pairs consistently stood out: the HOKA Clifton 10s and the Brooks Ghost 17s. After wearing both around the parks, we finally have a clear answer for which one deserves the title of the most comfortable shoe at Disney World. Magic Kingdom Let’s start with the HOKAs, because these shoes shocked us. We didn’t expect to fall in love (especially if you’re concerned about your shoes’ weight, texture, or bulky feel), and yet we did! Hoka Women’s Clifton 10 Sneakers The Clifton 10s are worth every penny. They’re bouncy without feeling unstable, and they offer incredible heel and arch support. If you have high arches, this is the kind of shoe that feels designed specifically for your feet. In fact, the back of the shoe even felt smooth and comfortable from day one, and we never experienced any rubbing or blistering. View prices on Amazon The experience of walking in these is almost cloud-like, but not in the ridiculous “I might jump into orbit with every step” way. It’s a gentle, springy cushioning that absorbs impact and supports your stride without demanding attention. We loved how they fit around the foot, which felt more like a cradle than a standard sneaker, and even though they look bigger because of their thick soles, they don’t feel heavy or bulky when worn. One of our favorite shoes The vertical cushioning gives them height without width, so they still feel sleek on your feet. The biggest surprise for us, though, is that we didn’t mind the bulkier sole. The cushioning feels luxurious without weighing you down, and even after miles of walking, the shoe stays firm and supportive rather than sinking or flattening out. View prices on Amazon Honestly, the only thing we’d change about the HOKAs is the price, because they are undeniably expensive. But they absolutely perform at the level their price suggests. They made our Disney trips easier, and we’ve started rotating them into our everyday wear simply because our feet like them so much. Hoka Women’s Clifton 10 Sneakers They’re built for long-term use, and even after breaking them in, they look and feel brand new. If you’re a flip-flop loyalist, sneaker skeptic, or someone who just never feels fully comfortable in shoes, these might be the pair that finally converts you. View prices on Amazon Now, let’s talk about the Brooks Ghost 17s, a shoe that gets recommended constantly in running circles but also happens to be a fantastic option for theme parks. These are marketed primarily for runners, but honestly, they’re an excellent fit for anyone who wants a reliable, well-cushioned shoe for long days on their feet. Like the HOKAs, they aren’t cheap — but Brooks delivers on their promises. What shoes do you wear in the parks? One huge perk is the 90-day test run policy: if you order directly from Brooks and don’t love them, you can send them back. That kind of confidence says a lot about the brand’s reputation and consistency. View prices on Amazon The Ghost 17s have a distinctly different feel from the Clifton 10s. While the HOKAs feel soft and airy, the Brooks feel structured and smooth. There’s a blend of softness and firmness in the midsole that gives each step a rolling, gliding sensation. Brooks Ghost 17s They feature nitrogen-infused cushioning in both the heel and forefoot, which adds bounce without making the shoe feel unstable. The air mesh upper is extremely breathable (a very welcome feature in Florida weather), and the redesigned kickback collar offers heel support without the friction that some runner-style shoes can cause. View on Amazon At first, the Brooks felt a little heavier than the HOKAs, which makes sense because they have more internal structure. But after walking in them for a bit, they began to mold around our feet in a way that felt increasingly supportive. Bottom of the shoes The toe box hugs without squeezing, and the interior cushioning provides a secure, enveloped feel. This is both a pro and a con: if you like feeling locked into your shoes, you’ll love it, but if you prefer a looser fit, you might consider sizing up half a size. Until they’re broken in, they may feel a little tight — not painfully so, just noticeably snug. But once that adjustment passes, the Ghost 17s are extremely comfortable and capable of handling long days with ease. View prices on Amazon What we appreciate most about the Brooks is how they distribute impact. Instead of feeling the jolt of every footfall, the cushioning redirects force into a smoother motion, giving the impression that you’re gliding rather than stomping. It’s one of the biggest reasons they’re so effective for theme parks. Walking 20,000+ steps a day can take a toll on your joints, and these shoes help reduce that wear and tear substantially. They’re dependable, well-designed, and ideal for anyone who needs a shoe that can keep up with long days and lots of movement. If you’re someone who doesn’t naturally enjoy wearing sneakers, the fact that our flip-flop-loving reporter would willingly buy these again says everything. Brooks Ghost 17s When comparing the two, it’s clear that both are excellent choices, but they shine in different ways. HOKA Clifton 10s feel plush, lightweight, and instantly comfortable. They’re perfect for people who want cushioning, softness, and a shoe that moves with their foot rather than controlling it. Brooks Ghost 17s feel more traditional in design but elevated in execution. They offer structure, breathability, and a gliding step that runners and walkers both appreciate. Both shoes absolutely work for Disney World, but for our tests, the HOKAs take a very slight lead. We love the spring of Hoka The main difference comes down to feel. HOKAs are soft; Brooks are smooth. HOKAs cradle; Brooks support. HOKAs feel like walking on gentle springs; Brooks feel like walking on a rolling cushion of stability. There’s no wrong answer — and truly, they are the top two shoes we would recommend above any others — but the HOKA Clifton 10s offered the best all-day comfort with the least break-in and the most immediate relief. Mickey-themed shoes At the end of the day, choosing your park shoe depends on your personal preferences. If you hate heavy sneakers, value plush cushioning, or need arch support, HOKA is your best match. If you prefer a snugger fit, want tons of breathability, or like having more structure in your step, Brooks is the way to go. Both will absolutely protect your feet throughout your Disney World vacation — and both live up to their hype. We LOVE these! But if you’re asking which one we’d crown as the single most comfortable shoe for Disney World? The HOKA Clifton 10s take the win. While the Brooks Ghost 17s come in a very close second — so don’t count them out, either! 24. Attention 80s fans: Pop on your flight helmets and get ready to take off for the danger zone, because a NEW Top Gun-themed attraction is coming to Las Vegas and seems set to take our breath away. ©Paramount Based on the iconic Tom Cruise film and its sequel, 2022’s Top Gun: Maverick, the multistory installation from Advent Allen Entertainment is set to feature a “Hard Deck restaurant and bar, multiple interactive zones, and a high-performance flight-themed thrill ride fusing cinematic storytelling, precision motion technology, and immersive media to deliver an experience that rivals the intensity and exhilaration of the blockbuster films themselves.” Marie Marks, Senior Vice President, Paramount Global Experiences, spoke about the deal in a press release, writing, ”At Paramount, we hold ourselves to the highest standards when bringing our stories to life through real-world experiences. We’re continually inspired by Mark and Bill’s commitment to excellence and their deep respect for the Top Gun franchise, and I’m incredibly proud of the work our Paramount Experiences design team has done in collaboration with Advent Allen to create this iconic attraction. Top Gun is a story defined by action, emotion, and authenticity, and that spirit is reflected in every detail of this experience.” ©Paramount Global The attraction is being designed by Simtec Systems GmbH, one of the world’s “premier design and engineering companies.” According to Mark Advent, Co-Founder of Advent Allen Entertainment, “We are thrilled to collaborate with Simtec Systems and their brilliant team of engineers and designers to bring this extraordinary vision to life. Selecting the right partner for one of Top Gun Las Vegas’ signature attractions was a pivotal decision. Simtec’s unparalleled expertise perfectly complements our mission to create an entertainment experience that pushes boundaries and captivates ride-goers worldwide.” ©Paramount If this project comes to fruition, it would not be the first ride based on the Top Gun franchise. During the 1990s, there was a Top Gun roller coaster at California’s Great America, which was then owned by Paramount’s Paramount Parks division. Like other Paramount-themed attractions around the country, the branding was removed after the studio exited the theme park business and sold its parks to operators, including Six Flags. ©Paramount The Top Gun project is scheduled to open in 2028, and the company is also allegedly eyeing a potential Orlando location as well.
