  1. First-time visitors often race to the biggest rides in Magic Kingdom, but in doing so, they could be missing some of the park’s most underrated attractions! Magic Kingdom When you’re planning your first day at Disney World’s opening day park, it’s easy to focus on the headliners with the longest wait times or the most hype online. But that can lead you to overlooking classic rides that offer air conditioning, shorter lines, and charm. These are the kinds of attractions that don’t always make the “must-do” lists, but end up being guest favorites once experienced. 1. Tomorrowland Transit Authority PeopleMover The PeopleMover is one of those attractions that first-timers often walk right past. Either because it’s tucked away in Tomorrowland or because they assume it’s “just a slow ride.” But this elevated cruise is actually one of the best ways to take a break while still seeing the park, offering fantastic views of Tomorrowland and even sneak peeks inside attractions like Space Mountain. It’s a relaxing, continuously loading ride with, at times, short waits. Making it a great stop when the crowds start to feel overwhelming, and your feet need a break! PeopleMover — a must-do! 2. Dumbo the Flying Elephant If you’re visiting without little kids, Dumbo is an easy one to skip. After all, it looks like a classic kid ride, but this is one of Magic Kingdom’s most iconic attractions. Flying high above Fantasyland is just as magical for adults as it is for kids. Plus, the indoor queue (that has an air-conditioned play area) and the double-sided ride system help keep waits moving. It’s a feel-good experience that’s worth making time for. If you’re like me, the kid inside of you will be grinning ear to ear! EVERY Magic Kingdom Ride and Attraction — 2025 Guide Dumbo the Flying Elephant 3. Walt Disney’s Carousel of Progress Many first-timers skip Carousel of Progress simply because they don’t know what it is, or they worry about committing 20 minutes to a show-style attraction. But this rotating theater is a piece of Disney history created by Walt Disney himself, and it’s one of the best places in the park to cool off, sit down, and enjoy some classic storytelling. Even better? Updates are coming to the attraction, giving longtime fans and first-time guests alike a reason to experience it now before the changes take effect. Soon, the Carousel of Progress in Magic Kingdom will be updated with an animatronic figure of Walt Disney himself! ©Disney 4. Under the Sea – Journey of the Little Mermaid This attraction is surprisingly easy to miss, thanks to its tucked-away location in Fantasyland. Hidden between Gaston’s Tavern and Storybook Circus, it can be easy to miss if you don’t know your way around the park just yet. Journey of the Little Mermaid is a charming, colorful dark ride with animatronics, music from the film, and usually manageable wait times. It’s a great option when nearby rides have long lines, and it offers a relaxing experience that first-timers often wish they hadn’t skipped. I’ve Tried Every Ride Hack in Magic Kingdom, And I’m Sharing the 3 That Work Every Time Under the Sea – Journey of the Little Mermaid Honorable Mention: Enchanted Tales with Belle While it’s technically a show, Enchanted Tales with Belle deserves a mention because many guests skip it without realizing how interactive and special it is. The details, impressive effects, and personalized storytelling make it such a fun and unique experience. It’s a great way to slow down and enjoy some immersive Disney magic without a massive time commitment. Enchanted Tales with Belle Whether it’s your first visit or your fiftieth, Magic Kingdom has plenty of hidden gems that are easy to miss if you don’t know where to look. 3. A Disney World Cast Member was harmed by a stunt at the Indiana Jones Stunt Spectacular. Indiana Jones Epic Stunt Spectacular The Cast Member stepped between the crowd to stop a runaway fake prop that weighs 400 pounds, according to the BBC. The Cast Member is now recovering. The incident happened in one of the first scenes of the show when a prop boulder begins to roll down a ramp towards Indiana Jones, which is a recreation of a scene from Raiders of the Lost Ark. The incident was filmed, and it shows the fake boulder veering off course before bounding off the ramp towards the crowd. The prop boulder The Cast Member then jumps between the prop and the audience to stop it from bounding into the crowd. In a statement released shortly after the incident, Disney shared, “We’re focused on supporting our cast member, who is recovering. Safety is at the heart of what we do, and that element of the show will be modified as our safety team completes a review of what happened.” Indiana Jones In the video, the Cast Member doesn’t immediately get up after being hit. At that point, several other Cast Members are seen running to his side. Disney has previously shared that this boulder weighs up to 400 pounds and is made of rubber. The Cairo sequence. On the day of the incident, one of the shows was canceled, and Wednesday’s show didn’t include the boulder prop, according to the Associated Press. According to the Disney World website, the show is still playing with showtimes at 10:45 AM, 12:00 PM, and 1:15 PM. The show follows stunt actors as they break down and recreate the stunts performed by Indiana Jones and Marion in the famous films. We’re glad to hear the Cast Member is recovering. 4. Perhaps you think Taylor Swift is ubiquitous these days, so you won’t be shocked by a Walt Disney World appearance of sorts. In this case, three of her tour costumes can now be seen in Walt Disney Presents, a walk-through attraction at Disney’s Hollywood Studios theme park. The trio are on mannequins behind glass in a single showcase, and Disney says they were each worn by Swift during her famed Eras Tour. Visitors can see the black and gold serpentine bodysuit (designed by Roberto Cavalli) that was part of her “reputation” set, a Vivienne Westwood dress that has the lyrics of “Who’s Afraid of Little Old Me?” on it, and a blue bodysuit that was topped with a red fringe jacket for “Karma,” the final song of the show. The exhibit is in support of “The End of an Era,” a six-episode docuseries on Disney+ as well as the streamer’s “The Final Show.” The Swift display turns into a selfie hotspot in the Walt Disney Presents attraction. (Dewayne Bevil/Orlando Sentinel) The costumes have been attention-getters during the busy holiday season. Folks are drawn to the shininess and the shows. I heard a woman comment that they made her feel like Swift was “normal-sized … and that’s good to show.” The outfits are stationed right before the large display of upcoming attractions in the works for WDW, including Tropical Americas at Disney’s Animal Kingdom, “Cars” rides at Magic Kingdom and the “Toy Story” land that’s under construction at Hollywood Studios. Overall Walt Disney Presents is a flashback sort of attraction, detailing subjects like Walt’s childhood, historic technology, development of theme parks and paraphernalia associated with Mickey Mouse Club. Standing across from the Swift exhibit is a partially exposed animatronic of Abraham Lincoln. Or as a young passerby called it: “Honest Abe comes back as the Terminator.” The exhibit of Swift’s costumes remains at DHS until Jan. 23, Disney says. 5. NEW YORK — I’m standing in a room in which a waterfall cascades from the heavens and pours by extending down past my feet into … well, the inky blackness of forever. Obviously this isn’t real. But it’s sure disorienting. A woman walks by and reaches out her hand as if to steady herself. I understand the feeling. I’m standing in the “Waterfall Infinite” room of the Arte Museum in New York City. “Experience the spectacular moment of standing in a gravity-defying and surreal space,” the entrance sign reads. That is the effect. I am taking time away from my normal New York haunts on Broadway to check out the Arte Museum because one has been announced for Orlando. Korean company d’strict is planning to bring its immersive-art concept to International Drive’s ICON Park in 2027. The first Arte Museum opened in South Korea in 2020 and has since expanded across Asia and into North America. You can find them in cities such as Hong Kong, Las Vegas and Dubai. But is an Arte Museum actually an art museum? Well, yes and no. I’m not going to be a snob and say digital creations don’t qualify as art. Of course they do: They express the vision of the creator and inspire some sort of feeling in those who view such installations. But this experience is a far cry from contemplating the beauty of Old Masters. The “Waterfall Infinite” installation, for example, uses mirrors to create its illusion; mirrors are liberally used throughout the museum’s different rooms — and, it must be said, with excellent results. "Waterfall Infinite" uses mirrors to create a dizzying, flowing effect at the Arte Museum in New York City. Orlando is expected to get a similar attraction in 2027. (Matthew J. Palm/Orlando Sentinel) In the “Flower” room, the smell of roses is piped through the air. Digital imagery lets petals swirl and scatter under your feet as you walk. Those who enjoy the lighting effects in the flagstones at Epcot will be delighted by this. “Wave” traps rushing water in a state of futile rage, with a fresh-water smell in the air. It’s the sound design, though, more than anything else, that makes this particular effect work. Flowers, waterfalls, waves: Are you sensing a theme? The theme of all the Arte Museums is “Eternal Nature,” with the idea being to use “innovative digital techniques to distill the essence and magnify the raw power, delicacy and grandeur of nature into new artistic value.” At the Arte Museum in New York City, visitors walk through different themed environments such as "Flower." Orlando is expected to get a similar attraction in 2027. (Matthew J. Palm/Orlando Sentinel) Some would argue the old techniques — plein air painting, photography — illustrate the power and appeal of nature just fine. But Arte Museum is deliberately trying to go beyond the actuality of nature’s wonder. “By infinitely expanding real space through mirrored surfaces and infusing scent and sound into each piece, viewers are placed on the boundary between reality and the surreal, heightening their sense of immersion,” d’strict says in its signage. Eyes glowing, a ghostly tiger stalks the digitally projected "Forest" at the Arte Museum in New York City. Orlando is expected to get a similar attraction in 2027. (Matthew J. Palm/Orlando Sentinel) “Forest” brings a digital stag brimming with flowers, a ghostly white tiger with eerie glowing eyes and more. It’s beautiful but a bit like watching a plotless movie. Nearby, there’s a giant fuchsia and cobalt “Sun” that provides an obligatory photo opportunity. “Star” is a beautiful take on the mirror trick. Paper lanterns change colors in gorgeously stimulating and relaxing color combinations with the mirrors magnifying the effect’s potency. In a “Live Sketchbook” room, visitors color their own animals, feed the art into a scanner and then watch their creation come to life in through digital projection. For some reason, a lot of color on my tiger didn’t translate to digital — it’s been a long time since I used crayons; maybe I did it wrong? — but children were squealing with delight to see their artwork become animated. A “Tornado” room, with a column of mist, felt like a theme-park trick. And, true to theme parks, no one followed the rules about how best to experience the installation. (Walk along the walls, people!) A final room projects different movies, one a site-specific film called “New York Is Art, Art Is New York.” Each Arte Museum has a similarly themed offering: I found myself trying to imagine what the Orlando version will capture: I-4 traffic? Pub subs? Shamu, is that you? My finale was a nearly 20-minute video depicting famed artworks from the Musée D’Orsay in Paris. If you’ve been to one of those touring digital Van Gogh experiences, you know the drill: Music, lights, animation and larger-than-life art projected on the walls. This handsome creature was "created" by me after I colored a drawing and scanned it at the Arte Museum in New York City. Orlando is expected to get a similar attraction in 2027. (Matthew J. Palm/Orlando Sentinel) Images by Degas, Monet, Cezanne and other Impressionist masters filled the room — and made me want to see them not digitally but in their physical presence. Ticket to Paris, please! As you might expect, there’s a gift shop and cafe with snacks and not particularly special specialty cocktails at the exit. All told, I spent 2 hours at New York’s Arte Museum, where regular adult tickets are $50-$65, depending on the day of the week (Saturday is most expensive). If you’re going to be in the neighborhood of Chelsea Piers, get more informatio at newyork.artemuseum.com. Keep in mind there’s no guarantee any of these specific installations will be part of Orlando’s attraction. And how any of this will translate into Orlando’s tourist market is anybody’s guess. I think tourists will be the primary audience; for me, it was enjoyable but a one-and-done experience. Could Orlando’s version of the Arte Museum turn me into a repeat customer? 6. Disney World is working on building its own Casita from Encanto, and we’re counting down the days until you get to step inside this world. ©Disney Big changes are officially underway at Disney’s Animal Kingdom, and one of the most exciting additions on the horizon is an all-new Encanto-themed attraction. As Disney prepares to say a final goodbye to DinoLand U.S.A. and welcome a brand-new land called Pueblo Esperanza, fans are eager to know exactly when they’ll be able to step inside the magical world of the Madrigal family. Here’s what we know so far about the attraction so far and when you can ride it. What Is Pueblo Esperanza? At the D23 Expo in 2023, Disney announced that Animal Kingdom will soon be home to Pueblo Esperanza, a new land inspired by the cultures, landscapes, and architecture of Latin America. To make way for this transformation, DinoLand U.S.A. has closed in phases, with the entire land scheduled to close on February 2nd, 2026. While it’s always bittersweet to see a land go, what’s replacing it is already generating serious excitement. Pueblo Esperanza will feature immersive theming and new attractions, including a highly anticipated Encanto ride that will serve as one of the land’s signature experiences. ©Disney || Tropical Americas Land coming to Animal Kingdom What We Know So Far Unlike Bruno, the new Encanto ride is something Disney is very much talking about. The new attraction will take guests inside the Casita, the magical home of the Madrigal family. According to Disney, the story of the ride takes place after Antonio receives his gift, allowing his room to transform into a lush rainforest. Guests will journey through the Casita itself, encountering different members of the Madrigal family along the way, creating a story that expands on the film rather than simply retelling it. The Casita ©Disney We’ve already seen a scale model of the attraction and official concept art, but recent aerial photos have revealed just how ambitious this project really is. New images shared by @bioreconstruct show the full footprint of the Encanto ride’s construction site, and it is enormous. While Disney attractions are famously bigger on the inside, these photos make it clear that this ride is designed to be a lengthy, immersive experience with multiple scenes and significant elements. See More Construction Photos Here! @bioreconstruct on X At this time, Disney has not confirmed the exact ride system for the Encanto attraction. Based on the concept art, it could be that the experience could be a trackless dark ride, similar to Mickey & Minnie’s Runaway Railway or Remy’s Ratatouille Adventure. A trackless system would allow guests to move fluidly through the many rooms of the Casita. However, a boat ride has not been ruled out and could also work well, particularly given Antonio’s rainforest setting. We are excited to learn more about the ride. ©Disney When Will the Encanto Ride Open? Disney has not announced an official opening date for the Encanto ride or for Pueblo Esperanza as a whole. What is confirmed is that Pueblo Esperanza will open sometime in 2027. We could see the land open in phases or all at once; that part is still unknown. We do know that when the attraction and the land as a whole opens, it will completely change the way everyone experiences Animal Kingdom. Casita model As Pueblo Esperanza continues to take shape, DisneyFoodBlog will be following every update, announcement, and construction milestone along the way. From opening timelines to ride details (and of course, the food nearby), we’ll make sure you don’t miss a thing. Be sure to stay tuned to DFB because when Disney finally reveals more about this Encanto ride, we’ll have all the details right away. 16 Places UNDER CONSTRUCTION at Disney World Join the DFB Newsletter to get all the breaking news right in your inbox! 7. A beloved Disney hotel offering is returning soon, and we’re hoping to see some notable changes! Tea time at the Grand Flo! The Garden View Tea Room at Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort is set to reopen sometime in early 2026 after over five years of being closed, and we can’t wait to go back! With that said, a lot’s changed since life pre-pandemic, and the tea room should look a little different. With that in mind, there are some changes we’d like to see when it’s back open! Lower Prices The Garden View Tea Room provided a luxurious experience — one that was never cheap. When it was last open in 2020, Afternoon Tea offered three different options: The Berkshire, The Cheshire, and The Bedfordshire. Garden View Lounge The Berkshire cost $150 per adult and came with a medley of finger sandwiches, traditional scones with accompaniments, and a choice of dessert with locally sourced Mote Marine Siberian Sturgeon North American caviar and traditional accompaniments to share. It also included two pots of tea with this meal. The Cheshire Tea was $50 per adult and had the same menu without the caviar and its accompaniments. It did include fruits and cheeses, however. The Bedfordshire Tea was $35 per adult and featured a sandwich-scone-dessert combo. Both of these options included a selection of one kind of tea per person. The Mrs. Potts’ Tea for $23.79 per person was a kids’ option that came with sandwiches, a jam tart, pastries, and a choice of beverage. Grand Floridian Afternoon Tea As Disney World prices (specifically table service prices) tend to increase on a yearly basis, it’s unlikely the tea room reopens with those same prices. Dining here will still be a relatively expensive experience. There is no getting around that fact. However, when comparing to other tea services like Roses of Gold Afternoon Tea at The Cake Bake Shop, we’re hoping the cheaper options at least come in at a more affordable cost. Roses of Gold Afternoon Tea Currently, The Cake Bake Shop’s afternoon tea costs $95.00 per adult and $65.00 per child ages 3 to 9. The Return of My Disney Girl’s Perfectly Princess Tea Party My Disney Girl’s Perfectly Princess Tea Party was another offering that cosr $333.64 per adult and child ages 3-9 (and additional guests 10 and over were $98.66). Garden View Tea Room This packaged party included sing-alongs, storytelling, and a princess parade — creating lasting memories that justified the cost. Kids were encouraged to dress as their favorite princess, and were even given gifts like a special 18-inch doll dressed in her Princess Aurora costume, a Princess tiara, a silver princess bracelet and princess necklace, a fresh rose, a princess cinch bag, and a “Best Friend” certificate for the doll! They would then get a tea-inspired meal with a Princess cake for two. In 2023 the room opened back up, but not for tea When the room reopens, we’d love to see this incredible offering return! If not, it would also be really cool to see a package that includes the Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique, which is upstairs at the Grand Floridian (and has also been closed). Gowns at Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique How amazing would it be to get dressed up like a princess and then get a special afternoon tea experience?! A Brunch Offering Afternoon tea is great, but a brunch service would add a whole new level. You could get petite quiches, bite-sized brioche French toast, flaky pastries inspired by tea flavors, and maybe even some savory pastries. Then pair that with curated tea flights? It’s safe to say this option would be popular. Tea Time! It would give guests a new reason to book earlier in the day, all while providing a new and exciting experience. This spot radiates brunch energy, so it would be ideal for Disney to deliver when it reopens! ©Disney The Garden View Tea Room has always been a favorite thanks to its classic, nostalgic, and enchanting environment and offerings. When the tea room reopens, we’d love to see it continue to evolve and continue the good reputation of the Grand Floridian. We’ll continue to follow the tea room’s updates as well as all the latest Disney World happenings, so keep it posted right here at the Disney Food Blog to stay in the know! 10. If you are a MASSIVE Big Thunder Mountain Railroad fan, January is NOT the month for you… Big Thunder Mountain Railroad There are tons of reasons to visit Magic Kingdom in January 2026. From experiencing Extended Evening Hours to tons of world-class rides, there’s a lot drawing us to “The Most Magical Place On Earth”. With that said, if the Big Thunder Mountain Railroad thrill ride is your raison d’être, January is going to be ROUGH. Big Thunder Mountain Railroad is a fan-favorite, but has been closed for a lengthy refurbishment that started on January 6th, 2025. With a year’s worth of work already completed, we’re gearing up for the return of this Magic Kingdom icon…but the wait is going to continue well into 2026. Big Thunder Mountain construction In early December, Disney confirmed the ride (alongside a revamped Buzz Lightyear’s Space Ranger Spin) will reopen in Spring 2026. The changes being installed in this latest version of the ride are far from insignificant. Along with a new, more updated track, the ride will feature a tinkered plot. Per Disney, “The story of Big Thunder Mountain Railroad dates back to Olden Times, or rather, Golden Times, during the early days of America’s first major gold rush. When Barnabas T. Bullion struck gold in the Big Thunder region, he saw a future full of riches and hustled to start the Big Thunder Mountain Company.” Conflict quickly arises, however, as “Bullion quickly found himself in a battle with the forces of nature,” and train passengers should expect some fun chaos. ©Disney The refurbishment will also include “spectacular natural caverns full of phosphorescent pools, shimmering and illuminating iridescent stalagmites (the ones on the floor) and stalactites (the ones on the ceiling)” among other changes like new sound and water effects that tie into the new Piston Peak Cars-themed area of Frontierland. ©Disney Work on Big Thunder Mountain Railroad has also overlapped with Villains Land, and we’re expecting this revamped ride to tie in more with Piston Peak, Villains Land, and Liberty Square when it’s all said and done. As a notable Magic Kingdom landmark, it appears as though Disney is using this long refurbishment to unite the park even more. Of course, that doesn’t help Big Thunder Mountain fans looking at a July visit. If you can’t fathom a 2026 without riding “the wildest ride in the wilderness,” we recommend waiting for the official spring reopening date announcement or scheduling a summer/beyond vacation to ensure that the ride has (at the very least) reopened to guests. Big Thunder Mountain Railroad We’ll be checking up on the ride’s progress every visit, and keeping a lookout for the big reopening announcement. 12. Free? Did we hear the word free? Believe it or not, it IS possible to get certain things in Disney World for free, but you’ve gotta know how. The character waffle meal! And no, we don’t mean by complaining to Cast Members and getting things for free, that’s not how we roll. Dining in Disney World is sometimes one of the most expensive parts of a trip, so if you know you’ll be traveling with kids, it’ll be a BIG DEAL when we tell you that there’s a way your kiddos can eat for FREE in Disney World in 2026! Back in June, Disney confirmed that the Free Disney Dining Plan for Kids would be returning for 2026, but what actually goes into getting it? Not to worry, we’re here to walk you through it. Friar’s Nook Kids’ Meal When you book a stay at a Disney Resorts Collection hotel in 2026 and purchase a dining plan with your vacation package for members aged 10 and up in your party, you can qualify for a free Disney dining package for kids aged 3-9. However, to book online, your package must also include theme park tickets. You can book by phone if you already have admission to the theme parks. The number of packages with this deal is limited, but at this time, it is still available! Sesame Chicken Kids’ Meal Kids must choose from the children’s menu, if available at the restaurant you’re at, but it’s important to note that this deal can be combined with other select special offers. Remember too that the type of free dining plan your child gets depends on what dining plan you get for yourself — the Disney Dining Plan or Disney Quick-Service Dining Plan. 13. Happy 2026! Can you believe we’re already here? We feel like 2025 just began! Happy New Year from Disney World! The holiday season is one of Disney World’s most popular times of year, beginning with holiday offerings like Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party and Jollywood Nights, as well as all the seasonal treats and events that you can experience, but New Year’s Eve and New Year’s Day are also incredibly popular. Who doesn’t want to spend the first day of the new year in Disney World? We stopped into Magic Kingdom to see just how many people had the same idea, and let’s just say, we weren’t expecting this. Coming into Magic Kingdom parking, we noticed things were moving really slowly, but the TTC itself wasn’t too bad. Don’t be afraid of long lines around security, because they often move quick! Once we got to the front gates of the park, we noticed it was a tad backed up, but not nearly as bad as we were expecting. Line to tap in Once we got to Main Street, U.S.A., we noticed that crowds were…not as intense as we expected! It was a complete 180 from what we saw on Main Street last night for the countdown, but this actually isn’t super unusual — a lot of people were up late, so rope dropping in the morning isn’t everyone’s cup of tea. Crowds on Main Street Right before noon, we took a look at our My Disney Experience App to check out what wait times were looking like throughout the whole resort. The highest wait times in the park were Rise of the Resistance at 110 minutes, Flight of Passage at 105 minutes, Slinky Dog Dash at 100 minutes, and TRON Lightcycle / Run at 95 minutes. ©Disney Below that was Cosmic Rewind at 95 minutes, Soarin’ at 90 minutes, Test Track and Seven Dwarfs Mine Train at 80 minutes, and Mission: SPACE at 75 minutes. All that being said, crowds were DEFINITELY lower than New Year’s Eve, and don’t seem to be any worse than the days we’ve seen leading up to this holiday. ©Disney As you get further into the day, though? You’ll want to prepare yourself, because again, a lot of people likely decided to sleep in/have a lazy morning and get into the parks later in the afternoon/evening since many of them are open later than usual tonight, yet again. Want to avoid the crowds today as much as you can? Check out our video below! 14. Who doesn’t love saving money on Disney? One of my favorite ways to do this is by shopping at Target! Target If you love Disney, there’s a very good chance you’ve wandered into Target “just to look” and walked out with a cart full of Mickey merchandise. Target has become one of the best places for Disney fans to score everything from toys and clothes to trip essentials, and often for less than you’d pay elsewhere. And if you’re planning a Disney trip (or just love Disney year-round), there are some serious perks you’ll want to take advantage of at Target. DISCLOSURE: This post may contain affiliate links, meaning when you click the links and make a purchase, we receive a commission. 1. You Save on Disney Gift Cards One of the biggest perks for Disney fans is that Target sells Disney gift cards, and if you use a Target RedCard, you’ll get 5% off those cards. That may not sound like much at first, but it adds up quickly when you’re buying gift cards to use toward Disney World or Disneyland tickets, resort stays, dining, merchandise, and more. Many Disney fans use this as an easy budgeting hack, buying gift cards over time and saving a little money on every purchase. Disney Gift Cards View on Target 2. Target Circle Deals Target Circle, which is free to join, regularly features deals on Disney toys, clothing, and kids’ items, especially around major shopping seasons. You’ll often see discounts on popular Disney toys, bonus Circle earnings on kids’ apparel or essentials, and holiday-specific Disney promotions around Halloween and Christmas. These deals can sometimes be stacked with other sales, making Target one of the easiest places to save on Disney merchandise. Disney Store at Target 3. Budget-Friendly Disney Souvenirs Bullseye’s Playground, the dollar section at the front of Target, is a hidden gem for Disney fans. You can often find stickers, small toys, activity books, and seasonal Disney items for just a few dollars. These are perfect for inexpensive souvenirs, trip-day surprises for kids, or even Disney-themed activities to keep little ones busy during travel days. It’s a great way to add Disney magic without blowing your budget. Super Target 4. Disney Merchandise at Lower Prices From Disney clothing and pajamas to toys, backpacks, and home items, Target carries a huge selection of Disney merchandise, and it’s often cheaper than buying directly from Disney or in the parks. Sales, clearance finds, and Circle discounts can make these prices even better. If you’re looking for Disney gear for an upcoming trip or just want to rep your favorite characters at home, Target is definitely worth checking first. Disney Merchandise at Target From discounted gift cards to exclusive deals and budget-friendly souvenirs, there are lots of ways to stretch your Disney dollars at Target. 15. Disney World value resorts are still some of the most popular places to stay on property. Art of Animation They’re affordable by Disney standards, they keep you inside the Disney bubble, and they work especially well for families who plan to spend most of their time in the parks. That said, prices have gone up, expectations have changed, and some longtime perks never came back. Here are four things we think Disney World’s cheapest hotels desperately need moving forward. Package Delivery Needs to Come Back This one comes up constantly, and for good reason. Resort package delivery used to be one of those little perks that made staying on Disney property feel easier. You could buy souvenirs in the parks and have them sent straight to your hotel, which meant no carrying bags all day and no stressing about rides or weather ruining your purchases. Pop Century Lobby Right now, if you are staying at a value resort, you either carry everything with you or ship it home yourself. That extra friction makes guests think twice before buying merchandise at all. Bringing package delivery back would make shopping easier for guests and likely encourage more spending, which feels like a win for everyone involved. For value resort guests especially, this perk matters. These hotels are often full of families, strollers, and kids who are already juggling enough. Not having to lug around bags would go a long way toward making value stays feel more thoughtful and guest-friendly. Extended Evening Hours Should Not Be Deluxe Only Early Entry is great, but it does not feel special anymore. Every Disney hotel guest gets it, and that means crowds still show up fast. Meanwhile, extended evening hours remain exclusive to deluxe resorts, which leaves value guests feeling left out, even though they are also staying on property. Animal Kingdom during Extended Evening Hours Value resort guests are paying more than ever, and many of them are longtime Disney fans. Giving them access to some form of extended evening hours, even on select nights or at select parks, would help balance the perk scale a bit. It would also make value resorts feel like a smarter choice rather than a compromise. Pretty chill Late nights in the parks are especially helpful for families with older kids, adults traveling without kids, and guests who want cooler temperatures and shorter waits. That experience should not be limited only to the most expensive hotels. The Refrigerators Need to Be Bigger and Better Value resort refrigerators technically exist, but anyone who has used one knows the struggle. They do not hold much, and they can be frustrating if you are trying to store groceries, drinks, or even leftovers. Coffee Station Guests are increasingly using grocery delivery services, especially families and budget-conscious travelers. A refrigerator that actually functions well would support that habit and make value resorts more practical for longer stays. A slightly larger, more reliable refrigerator doesn’t feel like a luxury upgrade, but more like a basic expectation in 2026. This is one of those small changes that could quietly improve the guest experience in a big way. Food Courts Need More Personality and Variety If you have eaten at one value resort food court recently, you have basically eaten at all of them. The menus have become nearly identical, which takes away a lot of the fun and personality that these resorts used to have. Food Court Food courts are the heart of value resorts. They are where guests gather in the mornings, wind down at night, and grab quick meals between park days. Right now, they feel functional but a bit uninspired. Adding more unique items, rotating specials, or resort-specific dishes would help these spaces feel less generic. Even small differences between menus would give guests a reason to look forward to eating at their resort instead of seeing it as a last resort option. Landscape of Flavors Disney World value resorts still do a lot of things right, but these updates feel overdue. With a few thoughtful changes, Disney’s cheapest hotels could feel a lot more magical without losing what makes them affordable in the first place. 18. There was a lot happening in the parks yesterday for New Year’s Eve, but something totally shocking was announced for Disney Springs out of the blue as well. Sprinkles Cupcakes Disney Springs is home to many amazing restaurants and stores, most of them independently owned instead of being owned by Disney. So, sometimes these stores make choices that Disney has no say in, and that’s exactly what’s happening here. Yesterday, it was announced that EVERY Sprinkles cupcake location ANYWHERE would be closed for good on January 1st, and we’ve just confirmed that’s true in Disney Springs. Of course, since this closure was so sudden, we have no idea what may be going on in this now-empty spot in Disney Springs, but we’re sure Disney’s minds are already turning with new ideas, and/or other businesses are getting ready to jump on the opportunity. We’re already looking forward to LEVEL99 opening in Disney Springs later this year, so perhaps now we’ll have another new business to be excited about as well. More Recent Disney Springs News! 19. Change is hitting the Disneyland Resort like a tidal wave in 2026. In fact, some hotel perks are getting adjustments! Disneyland Right now, most of the talk surrounding the Disneyland Resort has to do with the multiple expansion projects in progress. However, a pair of hotel perks are about to change this January… and we’re betting most guests won’t be too thrilled. Last year, Disneyland confirmed that the resort will no longer offer Early Entry for Disneyland Resort hotel guests. The change goes into effect incredibly soon, starting January 5th, 2026. This change is not a temporary one and will be the new norm. ©Disney The Early Entry perk used to let hotel guests enter a select theme park 30 minutes before the normal posted park opening time, but now, all guests staying at a Disney hotel or elsewhere will first be able to enter via rope drop. No longer does staying at one of Disneyland’s three hotels give you a leg up on locals and other guests. Rope drop crowds! While the perk is gone, Disneyland is offering a replacement in the form of one Lightning Lane pass per guest for any Multi Pass eligible attraction per trip. The pass is only offered for one use during the entire length of stay, and cannot be used on Single Pass rides Rise of the Resistance at Disneyland or Radiator Springs Racers in Disney California Adventure. To view this pass and book a reservation, follow the steps in the Disneyland app. Indiana Jones Adventure Additionally, Disney revealed that the dedicated park entrance to Disney California Adventure at Pixar Place Hotel will be closed off to all guests beginning January 5th, 2026. Pixar Place Hotel This entrance was used exclusively by Pixar Place guests and provided access to and from the park — creating a massive shortcut that bypassed the Disneyland Esplanade, Downtown Disney, and the Grand Californian Hotel & Spa. Pixar Place entrance in DCA closed Starting on January 5th, guests looking to get between California Adventure and Pixar Place can use the dedicated Grand Californian entrance if they’re still looking to cut down on steps. This hotel is across the street from Pixar Place, and can also be accessed by the general public via a Downtown Disney entrance. Grand Californian Hotel Perk changes, park changes, and overall expansion updates are all going to dominate Disneyland discourse in 2026 — so be sure to keep it posted right here at DFB to stay in the know! 5 Disneyland Planning Traditions Canceled for 2026 Join the DFB Newsletter to get all the breaking news right in your inbox! 20. Disney Cruise Line’s newest ship, Disney Destiny, officially set sail on November 20th, and here is where you can find the best alcoholic drink deal we’ve seen for just $25! Cask & Cannon The Destiny is offering 4- and 5-night cruises to The Bahamas and Western Caribbean from Fort Lauderdale, Florida, throughout her inaugural season. But on board, there is no place you’ll feel more like a pirate than at Cask & Cannon. Cask & Cannon is a pirate-themed lounge on the Disney Destiny, and while on board, we found the best Disney drink deal. While we tried several drinks at this lounge, we think the best deal is The Dead Man’s Chest for $25. This is an experience for two pirates, crafted with Zacapa 23 Solera Rum, Pineapple, Lime, Agave, and Coconut Froth. Your server brings out a small wooden treasure chest, opens it, and inside are two identical cocktails set on uplights so they glow through the smoke that spills out. Dead Man’s Chest It’s theatrical, fun, and honestly a pretty good deal. Most cocktails on the ship run $18 to $25 individually, and this entire chest with two drinks is $25 total. The drinks themselves are served in highball glasses and taste like a classic tropical rum punch. Our team noted that you get strong pineapple and coconut flavors, with pineapple taking the lead. If you like pineapple juice or rum punch, this is for you. Plus, getting a matching drink with your travel partner and the experience as a whole will be one to remember! 11 Hidden Details at Cask & Cannon on the Disney Destiny Cruise Ship Cheers! There are even a few gold-wrapped chocolate coins tucked in the bottom. Drinks and chocolate? They stole our hearts with this one. Overall, this lounge offers a unique and fun experience. Be sure to stop by here whenever you find yourself on Disney Destiny. The Dead Man’s Chest If you are looking to set sail on a Disney Cruise ship, be sure to follow DFB! 21. The Clearwater Marine Aquarium was riding expansion plans coming into the new decade, buoyed by rising attendance and revenue. And then came the death of its star attraction — a world-famous dolphin named Winter with a prosthetic tail and movie credits. A string of other dolphin deaths, a voyeurism scandal and 2024’s hurricanes further hurt the aquarium’s reputation and ticket sales. Four years after her death, the aquarium is still figuring out how to reinvent itself and survive after the loss of Winter. Its search comes as the city of Clearwater grapples with how to draw visitors to its quiet downtown, where entities connected to the Church of Scientology have snapped up prime real estate and left it fallow. The aquarium is maintaining its focus on rehabilitation and to better highlight the challenges sea animals face, including those from humans. “In order for us to be sustainable, we need the continued support of the community‚” said Chief Executive Officer Joe Handy, who took the job after Winter’s death. “We need people to come visit and better understand what we do to be a differentiator in the aquatic community.” Could the church, which has had a knotty relationship with the aquarium, play a supporting role? The animatronic Winter used in the films Dolphin Tale (2011) and Dolphin Tale 2 (2014) is displayed for visitors in the Tales of Winter the Dolphin exhibit. (Douglas R. Clifford/TNS/Tampa Bay Times) An underdog aquarium turned Hollywood hit From its inception in 1972, the aquarium struggled financially. It was on the brink of bankruptcy in the early 2000s. The property was originally a water treatment plant. And for years, it maintained that holding tank ambiance. Then came Winter. In December 2005, she was a two-month-old bottlenose dolphin caught in crab-trap line off the east coast of Florida. The line badly injured her tail, which she lost to necrosis, or cell death. The Clearwater Marine Aquarium was the only place in the state that would take her in. Despite the odds, Winter survived and learned how to swim with a prosthetic. Winter exemplified the aquarium’s mission of rehabilitation. Its staff saves injured sea creatures, helps them heal and releases them back into the wild. Former CEO David Yates, who joined the aquarium two months after staff rescued Winter, used his media savvy to capitalize on Winter’s rescue and recovery. He pitched her story to news outlets and movie producers. Warner Bros.’ “Dolphin Tale” movie — starring Winter alongside Morgan Freeman, Harry Connick Jr. and Ashley Judd — pulled in $19.1 million in domestic sales in its opening weekend in 2011, according to Box Office Mojo. A sequel was released in 2014. Visitors flocked to Clearwater from around the world to see the little dolphin that persevered. Her story resonated with adults and children with disabilities. Travel sites heralded the aquarium as “the home of Winter the dolphin.” Winter’s popularity helped the aquarium pay for an $80 million expansion, which first opened in July 2020. Leadership built out a dolphin habitat with five connecting pools, added nearly 200,000 square feet of guest space and expanded its hospital and education areas. Annual attendance peaked around 600,000 on average after Winter joined the aquarium. In 2021, before Winter’s death, former board chairperson Paul Auslander said in a statement to the Tampa Bay Times that the aquarium was “at its strongest financial condition in our history.” The Clearwater Marine Aquarium has a history of financial struggles, but current leadership said they are confident in its future. (Douglas R. Clifford/TNS/Tampa Bay Times) Winter’s absence Winter died in November 2021 after battling a gastrointestinal abnormality. Her death devastated her supporters and caretakers. “It was such an emotional connection,” said Thomas Orr, an aquarium board member since 2008. “I just remember bawling my eyes out. I wasn’t expecting that, that it would hit me that hard.” Annual attendance dropped from 463,000 in 2021 to 318,500 in 2022, according to information from Visit St. Pete-Clearwater. Total revenue in 2022 came in at $23 million — a roughly 40% drop from what it reported in 2018 — and it was operating in the red, according to an audit report. On top of the financial hurdles throughout the past five years, the aquarium has faced internal turmoil. Auslander said a group of performers was “accidentally and unintentionally” filmed while changing clothes in 2020. During an investigation of the incident, the vice president of operations and zoological care resigned. There was also a string of dolphin deaths from November 2021 to March 2023 that prompted an independent review. A panel found that there weren’t any water quality or environmental issues that contributed to the dolphin deaths. But it gave more than 60 recommendations to improve a range of issues, including noise levels and air quality. Hurricane Helene caused millions of dollars in damage to the aquarium, said Kathy Perrott, the aquarium board’s chairperson. Its original structure is at ground level, and 4 feet of water flooded its pumps and engines. In January 2025, the aquarium placed some staff on temporary furlough and its leadership took salary reductions. Still, Perrott said the aquarium’s numbers are improving, although officials declined to provide more recent financial information beyond saying they were profitable for four of the months from January to July 2025. Perrott said the summer rush of visitors and some refinanced debt payments have helped. And the aquarium remains a Top 10 tourism activity, along with the St. Pete Pier, Dalí Museum, Chihuly Collection and Sunken Gardens, according to a survey of nearly 5,000 Pinellas County visitors. The Clearwater Marine Aquarium rescues, rehabilitates and releases animals. Dr. Shelly Marquardt examined a juvenile green sea turtle during a checkup in September. (Douglas R. Clifford/TNS/Tampa Bay Times) New leadership, new ideas Yates stepped down as chief executive officer in March 2020 to focus on public speaking and film production. Since then, the aquarium’s leadership has struggled to find its footing. Russ Kimball, CEO of the Sheraton Sand Key Resort and member of the county’s Tourism Development Council, said he couldn’t speak to the aquarium’s finances. But he said it remains worthy of investment — it’s an important asset on the beach. “Tourism itself is challenging these days,” Kimball said. “It’s not just the aquarium, it’s all of us.” In March, Pinellas County commissioners approved $6 million in tourist tax money for habitats for sea lions and otters at the aquarium. The project will revitalize the oldest part of the aquarium, a two-story pool area called the Winter Zone. “You’ve got to show there’s going to be a return,” said former Visit St. Pete-Clearwater CEO Steve Hayes. “I don’t think they would’ve funded it if the results weren’t there.” Hayes said after Yates left, and before Winter’s death, the aquarium was discussing how to move its branding beyond one dolphin. One idea was expanding its focus to manatees. The aquarium in 2021 announced plans — during a year of record manatee deaths in the state — for its Manatee Rehabilitation Center. Handy, who was president of the Georgia Aquarium in Atlanta, is building off this groundwork. He joined the aquarium in 2022. He said he wants to show the consequences of human behavior on the environment and on animals. In February 2023, the aquarium announced a multi-year $32 million fundraising campaign called “Rising Tides” to fund revitalization and expansion projects. It paused the effort after the 2024 hurricane season but plans to resume it. Staff are hoping to bring in California sea lions, which, similar to manatees, suffer from algae blooms. Currently, staff care for more than 2,000 animals, including four shark species, dolphins, reptiles, amphibians, fish, Great white pelicans and otters. In November, staff welcomed three sea cows to its Manatee rehabilitation center, which has been closed for over a year because of hurricane damage. “We’re not just the Winter Aquarium,” Handy said. “We want to highlight the animals in our world’s ocean.” Still, Winter remains always in the background. The aquarium now has a Tales of Winter the Dolphin exhibit with memorabilia from the films. It also showcases her prosthetic tail models and the animatronic Winter used in the movies. The Clearwater Marine Aquarium is home to more than 2,000 animals, including sea turtles, stingrays, dolphins and fish. (Douglas R. Clifford/TNS/Tampa Bay Times) Mended ties with Scientology As a part of its evolution, the organization is in talks with the Church of Scientology to become a community partner. “We look for local support,” Handy said. “We have to look at who’s in our area, who can benefit from development and infrastructure and building up our community.” In the past two years, the church has supported two of the aquarium’s fundraising events with table sponsorships. That’s a departure from prior interactions. From 2015 to 2017, the church sought to acquire a small piece of waterfront aquarium property. But the aquarium held off because, it said, it wanted to let the city finish a larger waterfront redevelopment plan. The church originally offered $4.25 million for the land — then upped the bid to $15 million two years later. It offered to pay for a multimillion-dollar downtown revitalization and brought in Scientology celebrities, including actor John Travolta, to pitch the idea. In April 2017, the City Council unanimously voted to purchase the aquarium’s 1.4-acre property instead, for $4.25 million. Days later, when Pinellas County commissioners were set to vote on $26 million in tourism money for the aquarium, the church campaigned against the request. It scrutinized the aquarium’s finances and ethics in a complaint shared with legislative leaders and officials around the state. The Church alleged that the aquarium was receiving routine grants from the city of Clearwater and it submitted “frivolous, speculative and unsubstantiated financial projections” to back the county funding request. In the years since the attempted aquarium land purchase, limited liability companies associated with the church have purchased scores of downtown properties in Clearwater. Most of the buildings remain empty, and city officials are still struggling to activate the downtown and bring in tourism even as city centers across the country enjoy a resurgence. Sarah Heller, a Scientology spokesperson, said the church has supported the aquarium for years and disputed the characterization of its actions in 2017 as a campaign against the aquarium. In a letter, Heller wrote that the church had “questioned the (aquarium’s) motive” in refusing to sell and predicted correctly that the plot of land would go unused by the city. “Since then, CMA (Clearwater Marine Aquarium) has undergone a change in leadership,” Heller wrote. “Today, under Joe Handy’s direction, the Aquarium is focused squarely on its charitable mission. We have a constructive and positive relationship with CMA’s executives.” Handy said he remains confident in the aquarium’s future, in part because of its resilience. “We’re always in the business of rescuing, rehabilitating and releasing animals. That’s who we are,” Handy said. “That’s our DNA, and we’re not wavering from that.” ©2025 Tampa Bay Times. Visit tampabay.com. Distributed by Tribune Content Agency, LLC. View the full article
  22. If you’ve ever looked around a Disney park and realized you and five other people are carrying the exact same Loungefly, yeah, we’ve been there too. Look at all those bags! Loungeflys are (basically) the unofficial park uniform at this point, and while we love them, sometimes you just want a bag that makes people stop and say, “Wait, where did you get that?” If you’re trying to avoid the most overdone designs and want something that still screams Disney but feels a little more unexpected, you’re in the right place. These Loungeflys are perfect for park days, but you won’t feel like you’re part of a matching backpack convention. Loungefly Disney Villains Scene Ursula Mini Backpack ©Amazon If you’re going to go villains, you might as well go all in. This Ursula mini backpack is dramatic in the best way and feels way more elevated than your average character bag. The scene-style window showing Ursula plotting under the sea is such a cool detail, and Flotsam and Jetsam floating along the top is chef’s kiss. The back even features the quote “The ocean will be mine!” which is honestly a whole mood in Disney World. This one’s perfect if you love villains but don’t want the same Maleficent bag everyone else grabbed. View on Amazon Loungefly Disney Fox and Hound Todd and Cooper Mini Backpack ©Amazon Talk about a deep cut. You do not see Fox and the Hound represented nearly enough in the parks, which is exactly why this bag is such a standout. Todd and Copper are front and center, and Copper’s floppy ears actually move, which is absurdly cute. It’s nostalgic, it’s wholesome, and it’s guaranteed to get compliments from people who love the classics but don’t see them often. View on Amazon Loungefly Disney Lilo and Stitch Snow Cone Date Night Mini Backpack ©Amazon Yes, Stitch is popular, but hear us out. This design is way more low-key and story-driven than most Stitch bags you’ll see in the parks. Stitch and Angel on a beach date sharing a snow cone is adorable without being over-the-top. The glitter and faux leather details, plus the ukulele zipper pull, make it feel special. The silhouettes on the back are such a sweet touch too. It’s Stitch, but make it romantic and a little unexpected. View on Amazon Loungefly Disney Princess Cameo Portraits Mini Backpack ©Amazon This bag feels like it belongs in a vintage Disney movie theater lobby (we mean that in the best way). The cameo portraits open to reveal castle scenes inside, which is such a fun interactive detail. Snow White, Cinderella, Ariel, Tiana, Belle, and Jasmine all make appearances, but in a much more subtle, classy way. If you love princesses but don’t want bright colors or glitter everywhere, this is an excellent choice. 23. When it comes to Lightning Lane Multi Passes at the Magic Kingdom, not all demand is created equal. Cinderella Castle Disney’s current “skip-the-line” system, Lightning Lane Multi Pass, was introduced in 2024. The system, which allows guests to plan ahead of their visit and choose up to 3 Multi Pass experiences and arrival windows in a theme park (7 days in advance of their stay for Disney hotel guests and 3 days in advance for non-hotel guests), is currently available for 18 attractions at Walt Disney World’s original theme park. Over the past year, we’ve tracked Disney’s Lightning Lanes each and every day, and compiled that data to determine which attractions “sell out” of their allotted amount of Lightning Lane Multi Passes the fastest on an average day. When reading this list, remember that TRON Lightcycle/Run and Seven Dwarfs Mine Train are only available for the separate Lightning Lane Single Pass option. Seven Dwarfs Mine Train Perhaps unsurprisingly, the fastest Magic Kingdom attraction to sell out of its allotted Lightning Lanes on average is the newest attraction on the list: Tiana’s Bayou Adventure. The attraction, which opened back in the early summer of 2024, usually has no Lightning Lanes left by 9:15 AM on average. Tiana’s Bayou Adventure! The second quickest to sell out on average during the period we’re taking the data from was Big Thunder Mountain Railroad, which was out of allotted Lightning Lane reservations by 11:12 AM. This coaster has been closed for a massive refurbishment since January 2025, and given the built-in demand and the updates coming to the attraction (YAY Rainbow Caverns), these Lightning Lanes will likely sell out even quicker. ©Disney The next three quickest attractions to run out of Lightning Lanes were Peter Pan’s Flight, Jungle Cruise, and the Many Adventures of Winnie the Pooh, which ran out at 12:40, 12:49, and 1:30 PM, respectively. Tigger! On the other side of the spectrum, Buzz Lightyear’s Space Ranger Spin had the dubious distinction of taking the longest to run out of reservations during the eligibility period, as the attraction didn’t run out of Lightning Lanes until 8:31 PM on average. It will be interesting to see if Lightning Lane demand for the ride — which is currently closed for a refurbishment –ticks upward when it reopens with new ride vehicles, new blasters, and a new show scene in 2026. ©Disney According to our research, Tiana’s Bayou Adventure and Big Thunder Mountain Railroad had the quickest-moving Lightning Lanes at the Magic Kingdom over the last year, with Peter Pan’s Flight, Jungle Cruise, and the Many Adventures of Winnie the Pooh rounding out the Top 5. 24. We’re so glad to see Disney World making updates to areas that have needed a new sparkle. The Little Mermaid stage show at Hollywood Studios got a facelift, an entire new land dedicated to the Villains is being added to Magic Kingdom, and hotel food courts have gotten a bit of new magic. It’s great that many places around the resort are getting the attention they deserve. Hollywood Studios is changing Unfortunately, like us, you might have noticed that isn’t the case for every spot in Disney World that needs some love. While Hollywood Studios is getting some revamping (a new land and a ride re-theme), there’s one crusty restaurant that’s in dire need of some new life, and we know just what would help it. Hollywood & Vine at Hollywood Studios is an old Hollywood-themed restaurant that serves a buffet and a meet-and-greet with some rare Disney characters. Until recently, you could share breakfast with a few of the Disney Jr. characters, such as Doc McStuffins and Vampirina. But now breakfast offers the same character experience as lunch and dinner. Vampirina ay Play ‘n Dine at Hollywood & Vine While the experience for the three meal options at Hollywood & Vine is neat (you get to visit Minnie and friends for a seasonal dine that rotates throughout the year) and the food is pretty good, many kiddos enjoyed getting to see their favorite Disney Jr. pals. We know they aren’t leaving Hollywood Studios for good (Disney announced a future Disney Jr. show coming to the park), but the Minnie and friends meal is not a very unique idea, making this restaurant less than exciting. REVIEW: Disney Characters (!!!) Are HIDING at an Underrated Hollywood Studios Restaurant Minnie’s Summertime Dine at Hollywood & Vine For example, you can already dine with Mickey and friends at Chef Mickey’s at Disney’s Contemporary Resort, at Topolino’s Terrace at Disney’s Riviera Resort, and at Garden Grill inside EPCOT. Another Minnie and Mickey character meal feels crusty and a little lackluster when there are SO many other amazing Disney characters that people love. And we know exactly who we want to see come to Hollywood & Vine. Goofy at Hollywood & Vine Bluey and Bingo are coming to Disney World in 2026! These two Australian doggos are beloved by kids and parents around the world. Just imagine getting to sit down with the two sisters (and maybe some friends, Mum (Chilli), and Dad (Bandit)?) for a bite. Kids and their parents would be jumping up and down with excitement. ©Disney Picture the restaurant getting a bit of a makeover to look like the Healer’s kitchen and the Dance Mode song coming on every so often for a short little dance party. It would be a hit, and 100% breathe new life into that crusty place. Bluey is Gen A and Gen B’s Mickey Mouse Clubhouse, and we want to see the Grannies! Of course, some Australian-influenced food options on the buffet would be a bonus point. We may be in Hollywood, but these Australian TV stars would be a hit! ©Bluey Bluey and Bingo are already headed to Disney World soon, and when they’ve made their way from Australia, we think they deserve their own character dining experience. Can you imagine the joy that would be on literally everyone’s faces as they dined at Hollywood & Vine with Bluey and Bingo?! This is what Disney ought to do with this underrated restaurant to give it the new life it needs. 25. 2025 is just HOURS away from ending, and Disney World is set to kick off 2026 with a big return! Festival of Fantasy Parade After being shut down for the height of the Holiday Season — so as to make way for 12:00 PM and 3:00 PM showings of Mickey’s Once Upon a Christmastime Parade from December 22nd through the 31st — The Festival of Fantasy Parade is set to return to the Magic Kingdom TOMORROW! As of January 1st, the Festival of Fantasy Parade will once again be staged at its 2:00 PM time slot. Festival of Fantasy The parade, which debuted back in 2014 and has been updated several times since, has long been a fan favorite thanks to floats based on Tangled, Peter Pan, and The Little Mermaid, amongst others.
