Next weekend, the long-awaited sequel to Disney•Pixar’s animated hit “The Incredibles” blasts into theaters, and guests sailing with Disney Cruise Line won’t have to wait until they get home to find out what our favorite family of supers have been up to since we last saw them. “Incredibles 2” will premiere in Disney cruise ship theaters at the same time as on land! Did you know our guests can relive the excitement of the original film from the comfort of their staterooms? “The Incredibles” is available on-demand aboard all Disney Cruise Line ships, along with a massive line-up of Disney animated and live-action films. For guests sailing with us over the next week, an in-room viewing party (complete with milk and cookies from room service, please!) is the perfect way to celebrate the return of Mr. Incredible, Elastigirl, Violet, Dash and Jack Jack. Our littlest sailors can even get in on the action during Jack Jack’s Incredible Diaper Dash, a high-speed crawling race named for the youngest Parr family hero. During the dash, babies don their race numbers and crawl to the finish line of a specially themed 20-foot track, fueled by rousing music from the film and the cheers of an atrium full of spectators. This super fun event is offered year-round, and it’s a blast for guests sailing with and without crawling cruisers of their own. Will you be catching up with the Incredibles on land or at sea next weekend? Either way, it’s sure to be “totally wicked!” View the full article

I ventured to Epcot a few weeks ago to take in this year’s Epcot Flower & Garden Festival. The butterfly garden is a can’t miss with my family. As I wandered thru the festival, I was pleasantly surprised to see so many preschoolers running around this amazing park. Honestly, I forgot just how entertaining Epcot can be for little ones with tons of appropriate attractions and fun activities. From meet and greets with Anna and Elsa at Royal Sommerhus and Frozen Ever After fun, to interactions with fave characters from “Finding Nemo” at The Seas with Nemo and Friends and Turtle Talk with Crush, there are lots to keep little ones happy. Watch as little Lane gives a first-hand account of her awesome visit to Epcot. View the full article

Disneyland Resort is the land of Mickey Mouse, princesses, and churros. Okay, maybe that’s not an official designation, but churros are a quintessential part of the Disneyland experience. With so many from which to choose (and even more available during Pixar Fest!), there’s a churro for everyone! Our Disneyland correspondent, Heather (check her @DiningInDisney on Instagram!), is always up for a new churro, and she brings us the Pineapple Churro today! She picked this up from the churro cart in front of Sleeping Beauty Castle. Pineapple Churro This super bright yellow churro is dusted with pineapple-flavored sugar, which Heather reports has a stronger smell than it does flavor. Pineapple Churro But the pineapple flavor is still noticeable and enjoyable. The churros also come with Marshmallow Dipping Sauce, which basically means marshmallow fluff out of a jar. But we’re not hating it! Pineapple Churro with Marshmallow Dip Heather wants to be clear: this is not a Dole Whip churro, despite the pineapple flavor. But it’s a yummy addition to the Disneyland churro world! Pineapple Churro Ahhhh, Disneyland churros, we love you. And we’re always game to try some new iterations of these crunchy sticks of fried batter. Want to know more about the Pixar Fest Churro Challenge? Check it out here! Tonight’s “After Dark” image was snapped at Disneyland Paris of the park’s iconic Sleeping Beauty Castle. Outside, the park’s 167-foot-tall castle was given an imaginative, fairytale look that includes spires, turrets, stained glass windows and elaborate tapestries. At night, the castle sets the scene for the “Disney Illuminations” extravaganza that combines fireworks and projections with stunning special effects that bring classic Disney tales and new stories to life, including “Frozen” and “Pirates of the Caribbean.” What do you love most about this Disney castle at Disneyland Park in Paris? Happy June from Disneyland Resort! I take a long walk through Disneyland and Disney California Adventure parks (camera in tow) once a week in an effort to keep the resort’s photographic archive fresh and quietly make art. It’s amazing how quickly one can rack up those daily steps in the name of health and photography at this magical place. Here are some pictures from recent walks. The day usually starts in Mickey’s Toontown at Disneyland park. One of the great joys of this gig is figuring out new, fresh ways to photograph the resort’s many iconic locations. I thought the sun rising behind this cartoon fish talk/gas pump looked interesting and it’s a picture I can’t remember seeing before. One morning, as I walked along the old Fantasyland Motor Boat Cruise dock, Monorail Orange, with “The Incredibles”-themed Pixar Fest wrap came cruising overhead. I thought it looked gorgeous against pinkish clouds, blue sky, and green foliage. As I approach Central Plaza I always find myself taken by the Tabebuia Impetiginosa tree blossoms when they’re in bloom. On this morning, I thought it’d be fun to frame-up the Matterhorn between their lush branches. There’s magic everywhere you look at Disneyland Resort. I love the way lit signage reflects against the new Main Street, U.S.A. brickwork after an early-morning steam cleaning. As I make my way through Grizzly Peak at Disney California Adventure park, I enjoy watching the sun rise. It also makes me really happy to see guests taking advantage of a morning stroll. Cars zip by the exquisite rockwork of Cadillac Ridge at Radiator Springs Racers as the sun sets on Cars Land. And, just like that, another picture-perfect walk in the park draws to a close. Now it’s your turn – burn those calories and make some memories! View the full article

It’s beignet time (all the time, but we digress)! You know we’re always on top of the seasonal, temporary flavors at Disneyland Resort’s Mint Julep Bar, and right now, it’s strawberry season! Mint Julep Bar That’s right! In addition to the traditional Mickey-shaped beignets that are always available at this counter service locale, the fine cast members in this New Orleans Square mainstay are now serving up Strawberry Beignets! Strawberry Beignets at Mint Julep Bar The Mickey-shaped fried dough is as pillowy and tasty as ever, and the dried strawberry sugar is fantastic! Rather than just flavored sugar, this iteration is made with powdered, dried strawberries, giving the Strawberry Beignets a lovely, strong berry flavor. Strawberry Beignet Trigger warning: Mickey ear consumption ahead! But seriously, who can resist? Strawberry Beignet Not all seasonal beignets at the Mint Julep Bar are winners, we freely admit this. But the Strawberry Beignets definitely are! Grab ‘em while you can! Check out more Disneyland Food Reviews Here!! Heather Sievers is DisneyFoodBlog’s Dining in Disneyland columnist!
