When it comes to dining at Counter Service locations in Disney World, it sure is nice to save any time in line that you can. And Mobile Ordering helps guests to do exactly that. And now an additional location is offering guests the opportunity to pre-order their food items to ultimately save time that would otherwise have been spent in line: Cookes of Dublin in Disney Springs! Cookes of Dublin Cookes of Dublin is the Counter Service component to Raglan Road, serving up Fish & Chips, Battered Burgers, Dubliner Irish Cheese & Bacon Dip, and more. Fish and Chips from Cooke’s of Dublin Note, however, that this service is NOT available via the My Disney experience app, but rather through a visit to the Cookes of Dublin website or new Cookes of Dublin app (available for download at Apple or Google app stores). Cookes of Dublin app screenshot Similar to the Mobile Order experience utilized by another Disney Springs restaurant, The Polite Pig, guests are able to indicate their pickup time when placing their order. Welcome back to El Mercado de Coronado! Learn About: El Mercado de Coronado Disney World Restaurants Even if El Mercado de Coronado is a new name to you, you may still be familiar with the space if you’ve ever paid a visit to Coronado Springs Resort. You see, this Resort Counter Service location used to go by the name of Pepper Market. While the general setup of the space has remained the same, there are some other aspects that have changed even beyond the name. So join us on a tour of El Mercado de Coronado! Atmosphere The unique structure of the space has remained the same, of course, with the large dining room still given a bit of the Resort’s Spanish-Colonial Mexican architecture with arches and large beams, and a high ceiling allowing plenty of light from the windows to flow through. El Mercado de Coronado A few fun light fixtures including string globes and lanterns still accent the space. El Mercado de Coronado However, the color palette has definitely changed. You may remember the colorful “Pepper Market” signage hanging high above the room to resemble an outdoor marketplace. But the updated space has no such banner. El Mercado de Coronado That bright, colorful banner set the scene for the whole room, which was previously also filled with colorful chairs. The current seating and general palette relies on neutral tones with just a few pops of color from a few chairs. El Mercado de Coronado And the signature larger-than-life sculptures of spirit animals no longer exist in the space. Dark woods provide contrast against the still bright and airy room. El Mercado de Coronado Overall, the scene is set more for the convention crowd than a whimsical vacation vibe. El Mercado de Coronado And now let’s see what there is to eat in the updated setting. Eats You’ll find El Mercado open for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. El Mercado de Coronado Hours of Operation Like most other Resort Counter Service spots, ordering stations offering different types of food are where you’ll find Counter Service staples and a few dishes unique to El Mercado de Coronado. El Mercado de Coronado El Mercado de Coronado Off the Grill has classic burgers and chicken, but also a Crab Cake Sandwich and the Azteca Burger, topped with fried onions and jalapeños, guacamole, chipotle aioli, and pepper-jack cheese. Off the Grill Off the Grill The Chefs Specials during our visit included Pasta of the Day and BBQ Ribs, and also a Yucatan Roasted Chicken, which is the House Specialty. Chef Specials Chef Specials And, of course, there’s plenty of pizza to go around. Pizza And you’ll often find Mexican specialties up for grabs, like cilantro Rice Bowls with your choice of beef, chicken, or pork with toppings. The desserts at El Mercado are something of a standout, with cake slices from red velvet to carrot cake and more, depending on the day. Desserts And Grab and Go offers sandwiches, salads, and more. Grab and Go You’ll find more items including specialty coffee and even gelato (plus more desserts and pastries) at the nearby Cafe Rix. Overall The change from Pepper Market to El Coronado de Mercado seems to be in keeping with the other changes taking place at Coronado Springs Resort. With the ongoing construction of a 500-room guest tower (which will be complete with rooftop dining), the Resort is preparing for a lot more guests — with much of the focus on the convention crowd. Other changes include the conversion of Rix Lounge to Rix Sports Bar & Grill, and we look forward to when Villa del Lago delivers on-the-water dining next year. It’s the most flavorful time of the year! The Epcot International Food & Wine Festival is going strong with tons of new eats, sips, and culinary experiences sprinkled throughout World Showcase and Future World. With this festival being one of my favorites, I decided to meet up with one of my good friends, Jamie, who just happens to be one of the festival chefs at Epcot! I picked out some of my top eats this year and together we toured World Showcase while she gave me an inside look at each of my favorite dishes. We tried everything from the delicious frozen mimosas at Shimmering Sips Mimosa Bar to the IMPOSSIBLE Slider at Earth Eats and the Jerk Spiced Chicken Lollipop at Islands of the Caribbean. Everything was SO GOOD! Check out the video below to see all of my top eats and some insider info on what makes them so special (and tasty!). The Epcot International Food & Wine Festival runs through November 12, so there’s still plenty of time to come out and try all of these amazing dishes! And did you know that there are even special events like Culinary Demonstrations and Beverage Seminars to add to your festival experience? Sharpen your kitchen skills with tips and tricks from food industry pros or take a fascinating session where you’ll learn more about wine, beer, and spirits from beverage specialists. First there was a Purple Wall Slush… and NOW there is Purple Wall Cotton Candy in Magic Kingdom! Purple Wall Cotton Candy For those who may be wondering what all the fuss is about, the Purple Wall is a spot in Tomorrowland that is… well, purple. And it’s a wall. And it’s been something of an Instagram phenomenon for some time now, providing a perfectly purple backdrop which helps all other colors in the photo pop. Purple Wall in Tomorrowland It’s become so popular that it’s even become the inspiration for a Purple Wall cap. Purple Wall Area Merchandise Cart And now, we have Purple Wall Cotton Candy, which (at least for now) you can find parked directly by the Purple Wall. Purple Wall Cotton Candy Cart And there’s plenty of the berry-flavored Cotton Candy to go around! Purple Wall Cotton Candy By the way, we also spotted it in a few other places around Tomorrowland, like right next to the Tomorrowland stage. This perfectly coordinating Cotton Candy provides a picture-perfect purple prop for your very own photo. To add a bit more alliteration, you’ll pay the price of $5 for the additional pop of purple in your picture. Want to stay informed of ALL the Disney News?? If you’re like me, the candy I collect during Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party disappears quickly once I get home from Magic Kingdom Park. This is one reason why I love the photos taken by Disney PhotoPass photographers during the event – they’re a perfect, lasting souvenir! In addition to the party-exclusive Magic Shots and Animated Magic Shots I shared a few weeks ago, Disney PhotoPass has also captured fantastic images from my other favorite party activity – the Hocus Pocus Villain Spelltacular! Presented exclusively during the party, the Sanderson Sisters from Disney’s “Hocus Pocus” return to throw the most villainous Halloween party ever seen at Magic Kingdom. With the help of sinister shadows, nefarious nightmares and frightful friends, they’ll cast a spell that’ll leave you partying until the witching hour returns! Don’t believe me? Better get superstitious, and check out these photos by Disney PhotoPass Service. For an extra treat, watch out for select Disney PhotoPass photographers offering these “Hocus Pocus”-themed props during the party. Be sure to enjoy these photo opportunities and the Hocus Pocus Villain Spelltacular while you’re running amuck during Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party! View the full article

We’re kicking off another week on the Disney Parks Blog with a Disney Doodle, starring a favorite guest villain – Gaston. According to artist Ashley Taylor, if Gaston had time to visit a Disney Park, he may head to a place where he could perform an amazing feat of strength. Why not aim high and try to pull the sword from the stone in Fantasyland at Magic Kingdom Park? “Gaston is always trying to impress people with his strength,” Ashley said. “It’s easy to imagine him trying to pull the sword from the stone, especially if there is an audience nearby! This week, Disney launched a new global #DreamBigPrincess video series that puts the next generation of female storytellers behind the camera to tell the stories of inspirational role models across technology, entertainment, medicine, law, sports, arts, science, fashion and politics. A group of 21 talented young women from different corners of the globe captured the stories of these female trailblazers in videos that will be shared across Disney’s media platforms as part of a campaign to unlock up to a $1 million donation to Girl Up, an initiative of the UN Foundation. Following the launch of the video series, the young women from the UN Foundation’s Girl Up initiative, who produced and directed Disney’s new #DreamBigPrincess global video series, joined us at Walt Disney World to celebrate International Day of the Girl. Also, in celebration of the #DreamBigPrincess video series and International Day of the Girl, Disney Parks guests around the world dressed in outfits inspired by their favorite female Disney characters. Check out some favorites and visit our original #DreamBigPrincess story to learn more. For more information about Girl Up, go to girlup.org. We also kicked off a new “All in the Details” series on the Disney Parks Blog this week featuring our favorite spooky attraction at Disney Parks – the Haunted Mansion at Magic Kingdom Park. In the first video, Imagineers Steve Vagnini, Stacy Shoff and Diana Brost point out some of the “happy hints” guests can spot in the Haunted Mansion’s cemetery queue that give a nod to the attraction’s larger storyline. Here are some of the other stories we worked on this week. ArisoCrepes in Disney Springs brought us the Bubble Waffle this summer, and now they are bringing us something else pretty special! Salted Caramel Bubble Waffle Is it possible to top this sweet, salty, chocolaty indulgence? Maybe… Thanks to Instagram friend megan_fife we’ve learned there’s a new sweet treat that MIGHT be coming to AristoCrepes. Cotton Candy Sundae Look at this Cotton Candy Sundae! That looks like a bed of Cotton Candy topped with chocolate and vanilla ice cream, then those crunchy “pearls” that are popping up on quite a few Disney desserts these days. Cast members told Megan that this was something they were testing out, so the jury is out on whether or not it will become permanent at the location. That’s one more thing added to my “Gotta Try” list for the next trip to Disney Springs. But, there is a catch. AristoCrepes Kiosk AristoCrepes has very (and we mean very) limited hours that they are open. On weekdays, they don’t open open until 4:00PM. On weekends, Aristocrepes opens slightly earlier at 12:00PM. So that means if you want to grab this cotton candy confection — should it make its way onto the menu — you’ll need to plan time your visit perfectly to match with when AristoCrepes is open.
