The Twilight Zone Tower of Terror is an iconic Disney attraction that you can find in Disney World’s Hollywood Studios, Disneyland Paris’ Walt Disney Studios Park, and Tokyo DisneySea. Disney California Adventure has a similar drop attraction, but it has been rethemed to become Guardians of the Galaxy — Mission: Breakout! ©Disney Today, Disney gave us a closer look at some thrilling new updates featured in the attraction in Paris! According to Disney, “Imagineers have expanded the storyline, with a new story thread and ride sequences that offer more chills and thrills for this classic attraction. And this ‘special edition’ of the Twilight Zone Tower of Terror is unique to Disneyland Paris.” ©Disney Remember that young girl featured in the television section of the attraction’s Library scene? Well, in the new version of the ride, “the girl becomes a starring character on the ride, warning us not to cross over into the Twilight Zone.” Sounds a bit spooky, doesn’t it?? ©Disney The reimagined ride will also include “new illusions, media sequences, and audio soundtracks to create not one, but three different show and ride sequences for the attraction.” ©Disney If you’re going to Disneyland Paris anytime soon, you don’t want to miss out on riding Tower of Terror in Walt Disney Studios Park! Have you visited Disneyland Paris before? Let us know about your experience in the comments below! When it comes to fun on the high seas, Condé Nast Traveler readers chose Disney Cruise Line as the #1 Top Large Cruise Line in the World for the eighth consecutive year. Readers rated our fleet of four the highest from more than 400 cruise ships across multiple brands. Condé Nast Traveler Readers’ Choice Awards is one of the longest-running and most prestigious recognitions of excellence in the travel industry. This year, more than 600,000 Condé Nast Traveler readers from across the globe rated their travel experiences. We couldn’t say it any better than our Disney Cruise Line President Jeff Vahle: “Being recognized once again by the readers of Conde Nast Traveler is a source of great pride for our team, whether they make their magic on our ships, at our private island Castaway Cay or behind the scenes. This award speaks to their commitment to always going above and beyond – and making every guest’s experience truly special.” Disney Cruise Line blends the magic of Disney entertainment with the excitement of ocean cruising, offering incredible onboard experiences and itineraries to the sun-drenched destinations of the Caribbean year-around and awe-inspiring seasonal sailings throughout Alaska and Europe. Most Caribbean itineraries also include a stop at Castaway Cay, Disney Cruise Line’s award-winning private island in The Bahamas. Disney Cruise Line is always looking to give guests more exciting opportunities, and this year we decided to “dig a little deeper” for inspiration. In 2020, the Disney Wonder will set sail from New Orleans for the first time, celebrating the magic of NOLA with Tiana and friends. The world of “The Princess and the Frog” is brought to life like never before onboard the Disney Wonder, with new features like a New Orleans-themed lounge that transports guests into the heart of the city’s iconic French Quarter. As we expand our horizons, we look forward to the delivery of three new ships in 2021, 2022 and 2023. The recently announced Disney Wish will be the first to make her debut as the fifth ship in our fleet. Rapunzel and her feisty sidekick Pascal will be featured on the stern, and, at approximately 144,000 gross tons and 1,250 guest staterooms, the Disney Wish will be slightly larger than the Disney Dream and Disney Fantasy. For a look at the latest concepts, visit the post-D23 announcement. Our Disney Cruise Line team is proud to be No. 1 in the hearts of Condé Nast Traveler readers, and we couldn’t be happier knowing our guests’ experiences are truly special year after year. “Sea” ya real soon! Our Disney Doodles – Witch Edition series continues this week with a look at what the Wicked Queen might do if she had the chance to visit Magic Kingdom Park. In the 1937 film “Snow White,” the Wicked Queen uses a magic mirror to spy on Snow White. According to artist Ashley Taylor, this wicked gal would head to Enchanted Tales With Belle in New Fantasyland to check out the magical mirror that hangs in Belle’s childhood home. “The Magic Mirror in Enchanted Tales with Belle is mesmerizing!” Ashley said. “It’s easy to imagine The Queen wanting to compare its powers to her magic mirror.” View the full article

My personal favorite is the fleece jacket with a cape! Minnie Mouse will put a spell on you this Halloween season with brew-tiful décor. And of course, Halloween wouldn’t be the same without Mickey’s pal, Pluto, who is having a bone of a time in a cursed Mummy costume. Chip and Dale have tagged along impersonating Dr. Frankenstein and his creature! Disney World Skyliner Rescue Vehicles Last Night See the Disney World Skyliner Accident Breaking News HERE Luckily, it was evening, so the temperature wasn’t as much of a problem as it would have been had guests been stuck in the gondolas during the heat of the day. But boredom and the lack of bathrooms ended up being a real issue for many guests, as you’d expect. Disney’s PA system announced to guests at first that the skyliner was temporarily delayed. Over and over and over again. Then announcements began that the guests should use the emergency packs found under the Skyliner’s wooden seats. These included cold packs, bathroom bags, notepads, and water. At this time, the Disney World Skyliner is closed until further notice. REVIEW! Rainbow Macaron Box at Disneyland Resort
Disney4me posted a topic in Disney Food/Restaurants
Limited-time rainbow treats are out in full force at the Disneyland Resort this weekend! Jolly Holiday Bakery Cafe Celebrating Gay Days, an assortment of merchandise and snacks items are available for guests to enjoy, inspired by Disney’s “Love Comes in Every Color” initiative. We tried the Rainbow Bread Pudding at Pacific Wharf Cafe, so next, naturally, we had to grab a treat that comes in each and every color of the rainbow! We popped over to Jolly Holiday Bakery Cafe to get our hands on the Rainbow Macaron Box. Rainbow Macaron Box These beauties may be the best way to remember your ROYGBIV! While the cookies themselves have a more generic taste, each macaron comes with a flavored filling in the center. There are six flavors to enjoy: strawberry, orange, lemon, green apple, blueberry, and grape. Rainbow Macaron Box We found some flavors to be stronger than others — the lemon was very light while the orange was WAY more intense! The Rainbow Macaron Box costs $15.99; you can find them at Jolly Holiday, Refreshment Corner, Market House, Clarabelle’s Hand-Scooped Ice Cream, or Craftsman Grill at the Grand Californian this weekend! There are a variety of limited-time treats to snack on at Disneyland Resort this weekend in celebration of Gay Days. And with the slogan “Love Comes in Every Color“, Disney pulled out all the stops to deliver some seriously colorful creations! Pacific Wharf Cafe We’re always game for a new specialty bread pudding over at Pacific Wharf Cafe in Disney California Adventure. They knocked it out the park with their recent cherry cheesecake bread pudding and lemon blueberry bread pudding, and now we’re pumped to try their new Rainbow Bread Pudding! The Rainbow Bread Pudding is a generously portioned birthday cake-flavored bread pudding, topped with a HUGE glob of whipped cream. Rainbow Bread Pudding Ours was served on a bed of strawberry syrup, which was drizzled with sprinkles and glitter, and if that wasn’t enough, the whipped cream was topped with a TON of sprinkles and glitter – it looked like a birthday party on a plate! Rainbow Bread Pudding This dish is SWEET. Not only was the strawberry syrup all over the plate, but there was another layer of syrup hiding IN BETWEEN the bread pudding and whipped cream! If you’re a fan of fruit-flavored syrups, you’re going to love this dessert. The strawberry flavor was VERY prominent. So much so that it overpowered the birthday cake flavor for us! The bread pudding itself was warm and moist – everything you would expect in a tasty treat like this! Rainbow Bread Pudding This is a big treat you can easily share, so grab a friend and some forks and head down to Disneyland this weekend to pick one up! You can get the Rainbow Bread Pudding for $5.39 this weekend. See more of the rainbow goodies at Disneyland this weekend HERE! Cast Members come together to assemble hygiene kits for shelters in Nassau CELEBRATION, Fla. (October 5, 2019) – As part of Disney’s commitment to helping The Bahamas recover from the devastation of Hurricane Dorian, Disney Cruise Line Cast Members worked together to assemble more than 1,500 Clean the World personal hygiene kits. Clean the World is a global health organization committed to providing sustainable resources, programming and education focused on water, sanitation and hygiene to those impacted by natural disasters, poverty and homelessness. The Disney Dream delivered these kits to Nassau where they were distributed to shelters for hurricane evacuees from Abaco and Grand Bahama. “Our Disney team cares deeply about the well-being of our friends and neighbors in The Bahamas,” said Jeff Vahle, president of Disney Cruise Line. “Our Cast Members were grateful for the opportunity to roll up their sleeves and come together to pack these much-needed kits and provide support beyond the financial donations. We hope these everyday essentials will make life a little more comfortable for those families living in shelters.” More than 100 Cast Members gathered in the lobby of Disney Cruise Line’s office located in Celebration, Fla., to build Clean the World hygiene kits filled with soap, shampoo, razors, toothpaste, toothbrushes and socks. As the world’s largest recycler of hotel amenities, Clean the World is responding with emergency relief including much-needed hygiene supplies for individuals and families affected by Hurricane Dorian. In addition, The Walt Disney Company, led by Disney Cruise Line, committed $1 million to non-profit relief agencies to help hurricane relief and recovery efforts in The Bahamas. The company also has donated food, water, medical supplies, cleaning supplies, generators and construction materials, which the Disney Dream and Disney Fantasy have delivered to points in Nassau and the Abacos and others have helped deliver in Grand Bahama for those most affected by the hurricane. In addition, Disney Cruise Line is supporting its Bahamian-based Crew Members who live in impacted areas. So far, Disney has provided an additional $500,000 in supplies for these communities and direct aid to employees. Sons and daughters of the Revolution, today we gather round the Liberty Tree with some very sad news. The Town Crier Today will mark the final performances of “The Muppets Present…Great Moments in American History.” While Disney has not made a formal announcement, today is the last day you’ll see showtimes for the adorable Muppet production online or in My Disney Experience. The Muppets Present… Great Moments in American History We are sad to see this one go — we just adore the Muppets! I mean, how can you not laugh when Miss Piggy decides to play our first president as “Georgina Washington?!” The Muppets Present… Great Moments in American History And of course, we love watching Sam Eagle and his disapproving looks as the rest of the gang fumbles the stories of the founding of the U.S.A.. The Muppets Present… Great Moments in American History premiered almost exactly 3 years ago and entertained Guests several times a day with two different stories. The show flip-flopped between the “Ride of Paul Revere” and the “Signing of the Constitution.” The Muppets Present… Great Moments in American History The last scheduled showtime for today is 5:15pm. We Salute you Sam Eagle — thanks for the laughs and the (questionable) lessons in history! Muppet Vision 3-D Luckily, not all Muppet hi-jinx are lost. You can still find Kermit and friends at Muppet Vision 3-D in Disney’s Hollywood Studios. Did you get a chance to see The Muppets Present…Great Moments in American History? A whole new dimension of chills has dropped into The Twilight Zone Tower of Terror this fall at Walt Disney Studios Park at Disneyland Paris. Tom Fitzgerald, senior creative director at Walt Disney Imagineering, shared with us a first-hand account of the three new storyline he and his team brought to this iconic attraction. How has the storytelling of Twilight Zone Tower of Terror been central to making this attraction a Disney Park special? From the start, storytelling has been central to the success of the Twilight Zone Tower of Terror. The whole idea of the attraction was to place guests into the storyline of an episode of the series. In the library scene, guests would learn the backstory of what happened so many years ago, then be invited to board those same service elevators to cross over into the Twilight Zone themselves. Now, Imagineers have expanded the storyline, with a new story thread and ride sequences that offer more chills and thrills for this classic attraction. And this ‘special edition’ of the Twilight Zone Tower of Terror is unique to Disneyland Paris. Why reimagine the Twilight Zone Tower of Terror experience now? The behind-the-scenes story of this new edition actually began years ago at Disney’s Hollywood Studios Park at Walt Disney World Resort in Florida, when Imagineers created new ride profiles for the existing attraction. For Disneyland Paris, the Imagineering team took it one step further, by not only adding new, more thrilling ride profiles, but adding new story sequences that extend the original story. What enhancements to the storyline can guests expect in this new experience? The television sequence in the Library scene of the attraction features a cast of characters that includes a rather precocious young girl. In this new version of the show, the girl becomes a starring character on the ride, warning us not to cross over into the Twilight Zone. When we fail to heed her warning, thrills follow! The Imagineering team also added new illusions, media sequences, and audio soundtracks to create not one, but three different show and ride sequences for the attraction. What was the biggest challenge you faced in creating new storylines? It’s always a challenge to go back into a classic attraction and make changes. But advances in technology and storytelling made it hard to resist revisiting, and building on the original storyline and show. What are you most excited for guests to experience? We’re excited that fans and first-time visitors to the Twilight Zone Tower of Terror will now have three times the fun in answering the question, “Are You Brave Enough!” Early reactions from guests have been incredible! Already, lines from the new storyline are becoming iconic with fans – which is great fun.
